Amazon.com Product Description The advanced components inside Xbox make it the undisputed powerhouse among current game consoles. A 733 MHz Intel main processor and 233 MHz graphics processor from industry leader nVidia deliver photorealistic graphics in real time. A cavernous hard drive stores saved games and characters, making flimsy memory sticks obsolete. The built-in Ethernet port enables super-fast multiplayer online gaming over a broadband Internet connection. Four game controller ports allow you and three of your buddies to play at the same time, or you can use them for other peripherals such as gamepads, light guns, voice-activated headsets, and who knows what else? But Xbox has more going for it than fancy innards. The Xbox's Windows-based operating system is a breeze to program on, earning it grateful accolades from Electronic Arts, Infogrames, THQ, and other game producers. The less time developers spend struggling with the operating system means the more time they spend tweaking gameplay, which ultimately results in better games. And games are what it's all about. Well, games and the fun of owning a green-glowing game console that looks like it came from Darth Vader's living room. --Mike Fehlauer Reviews (105)
Another issue that I have with the system was its warranty, which is only 90 days, but when I called for servicing, I found out you can extend it for a year (even after the first 90 warranty expires) for $$$ and for around $$$ for an extra 2 years. It is extra money but at least you will not be left with a worthless box if it breaks down outside of the 90 days. Additionally, on the Xbox's DVD remote, there is no power button or open tray button.I hate remotes without power buttons-they make no sense-especially, when they cost $$$ (like the one for the Xbox). Another thing is the Microsoft does not make a coaxial digital audio out on its interconnects (only fiber optic Toslink) so if you want coaxial digital audio, you have to pay around Finally, the Xbox comes pretty stripped down (basic setup is a console and 1 controller) and if you want basic features (at least, what I would consider basic) like DVD and digital audio (...with a digital audio cable), carrying case, extended warranty ($$$), extra controller ($$$), S-Video ($$$, included with Microsoft's Advance AV Pack along with fiber optic digital audio), etc.It really starts to add up.I think the system should have DVD playback without a remote (which you should be able to program into a universal remote or at least, purchase for less than $30), digital audio, and S-Video built into the system not to mention a longer standard warranty.I believe that PlayStation 2 comes with DVD playback standard (without a remote) and possibly better standard audio and video features.
Crazy Taxi 3, Toe Jam & Earl 3, Panzer Dragoon Orta, Project Ego, Shenmue II (out for DC in Japan only), Ninja Gaiden, and Tao Feng (looking as good as Soul Calibur 2) are ALL Xbox exclusive games coming out later this year/early next year. If you say those are not good games you are absolutely nuts. Sure GameCube has Metroid and Star Fox adventures, but the new Zelda looks really bad, and Mario Sunshine is absolutely designed for children under 7 years of age, a definite stepdown from the N64 versions of those franchises. You're entiled to your own opinions, but saying Halo is the only good game for Xbox makes you really sound like an idiot.

I'm not a fan of these cases as it's very cramped on the interior and the vinyl sleeves do seem like they'll scratch your discs. The zipper is too big and bulky and there's nothing else here to get excited over.If you find yourself moving and travelling around a lot, I'd suggest finding a case with RIGID PLASTIC cd holder sleeves. This is fine, but overall, I just don't feel comfortable storing my XBOX game discs in it.
It carries the games well and looks cool, but the little metal hook is slightly too big and the tiny pocket on the front is just that, tiny.I honestly don't know what you might put in there, but I guess it makes it look better. All together a descent buy if you don't have something to hold your games.
