5-0 out of 5 stars A Must For Any NBA Fan
I have both NBA Live & this game here. The fun factor for this game is way better. The only thing NBA Live has for it is the All Star Weekend. I find myself playing this game non-stop. This is the best basketball game I've ever played. Way to go SEGA!!!!!! The only downfall for this game is each player has a high % of making shots. It's almost like each player has a portion of MJ in them. I'm not complaining about that, because I like high scoring games instead of low scoring (due to defense.)

5-0 out of 5 stars $20.00 is worth it
Graphics:9/10
Near perfect but not enough
Sound:11/10
the announcers sound exactly lik the announcers
A.I.:11/10
yur opponents respond unbleiveabley to yur actions
Controls:9/10
it's good, but the free throw(penalty for personal foul)is really difficult too do
Fun:10/10
this game is really fun
overall i played both nba 2k5 and nba live, i say 2k5 is the better 1

4-0 out of 5 stars Fun but Repetitive
When comparing the best selling basektball games on the XBOX or even PS2 market, you find that there is so much competition between ESPN NBA 2K5 and NBA Live 2005.So then you begin to place the detailed specs side by side and grasp the one that first hits your attention. To me it was ESPN, because of the awareness towards price listings and such. For such a compact and time-worthy game, you almost feel like your ripping off Sega.ESPN being 15 dollars, and Live being 30 dollars.

The Graphics are the most dazzling spec offered by ESPN.There is no comparison between NBA Live, because for the past 2 years, there have been no show of improvement from the lack of depth the graphics express. At least Sega has improved them from last year.

Graphics: 9/10

The Gameplay is very fun at times. You find yourself playing the game in increments of time, rather than consecutive hours. It's a basketball game and all the games are pretty much the same, depending on your style of gameplay.I personally have not played one of the most talked-about game option called 24/7.I've nibbed at 24/7 a little and tried experimenting with it, but I don't really have fun playing 1 on 1 games against the CPU.I like to strategize and work with a 5 man team, making it feel like your there, juking your opponents out.

8/10

The Sound is mediocre. The commentary is very repetitive and can drive you to the extreme where you just want to go to "gameplay options" and turn off game commentary.Bill Walton does have some comments that give alittle spaz to the game. The sound of the crowd is really realistic, because when a team begins a roll, or nears the end of a clenching game, the crowd roars depending on weather your team or the opposing team is playing home. When a cold streak hits a team, the crowd dies, and the amplitude decreases. The music tracks are pretty good too.Nothing featured by many mainstream artists, but the songs give a good beat for the game.

8/10

So overall this game can be very very fun, but you'll find yourself being caught up in a great game, and then later pushing it aside until your real love of the game brings you back to its experience.XBOX Live is also very fun, especially if your really good at it, because the competition can get really serious and dominant.

5-0 out of 5 stars BEST GAME OF BASKETBALL ON THE MARKET!!!!!!!!
When I first heard about the 2K5 games going to be $20.00, I figured that these games were all going to suck because of the price. So I decided to see if this was true, so I just rented it.The same exact day that I rented it, I went back to Blockbuster, returned the game, went to EB Games, and bought ESPN NBA 2K5.It was that good.It is some of the best works of graphics, gameplay, sound, and of course the ESPN broadcast style that has ever been put into a basketball game.ESPN NBA 2K5 tops all the components of NBA Live 2005 except for the slam dunk contest in NBA Live, which isn't anything special. The gameplay combined with the replays, presentation, and sideline broadcasting of ESPN makes this the BEST.The graphics are great, not perfect, but easily the best of all basketball games to this day.The sound is FABULOUS, slightly edging out last years 2K4.This game will own your soul.

The all new Association mode is my favorite part of this whole game. You gain complete control over your favorite franchise, basically stepping into the shoes of Rudy Tomjanovich on the sidelines of the Lakers' Staples Center, or any other NBA manager. With the team chemistry and you having to take care of and answer questions of your players, you feel like a real manager, having to take care of financial issues as well as making your players happy. You sometimes even begin to get headaches because of you wanting to make sure you are making the right decisions that will benefit you as a manager as well as the rest of your players. The graphics are very good and easily create the best replicas of NBA basketball arenas and players in video games. When I first played this game, I almost stopped with my jaw dropped in awe of the realism of this game.Although it is very hard to beat out EA Sports, Visual Concepts, Sega, and ESPN all on one team definately have supremacy over the NBA basketball title here.Let me put it this way, the fans in the stands definately do not push the XBox to the limits in means of graphic capabilites. They are kind of boring and not enthusiastic. But with the fast paced action of NBA 2K5, you don't have time to pay attention to the fans.

The controls can be frustrating at times and can take a while to master, when you get the hang of these controls, you discover that they are responsive and quite easy to use. Here is how I rate the game:

Overall: 9 / 10 (No company has yet completely mastered how to perfectly design basketball games, but this is easily the best attempt to master it)
Overall: 10 / 10
Gameplay: 9 / 10 (Fabulous, but not perfect)
Graphics 9 / 10 (I'm not giving it a ten because of the lifeless fans)
Value: 10 / 10 (For $20.00, nobody can complain)
Sound: 11 / 10 (Best on the market)
Presentation: 11 / 10 (Can't compete with ESPN)
Realism: 10 / 10
Controls: 9 / 10 (Great once you master them, but frustrating to learn at first)
Features: 10 / 10 (Best of all basketball games)

This year, ESPN NBA 2K5 has officially one the award as being the best, most complete hoops game on the market.Without ESPN in league with Sega and Visual Concepts, this award would be a lot harder for the 2K5 series to grab a hold of.Don't waste your time with NBA Live 2005.This game is easily an overall better game. This game is basically crystal clear with hardly any flaws. For only $20.00 plus the great gameplay, fabulous graphics (except for those darn fans), and of course the fantastic ESPN broadcasting and presentation, get rid of all your old basketball games (NBA Live included) and make room for the king of all NBA basketball games: ESPN NBA Basketball 2K5!!!

5-0 out of 5 stars cant compete with espn
For $20 you can get the best basketball game out there. For this game first i shall talk about the cons. The grahics are pretty bad and takes some time time to get used to. Though the players are very detailed. If you look close you can see sweat on their shirts. It is also very hard to do a dunk and if you do pull one off you'd have to be in the exact right spot. There are many good things too. Sometimes your players come to you to ask questions. The gameplay also works well too. Overall this game is a hit for $20. espn is going to run ea sports out of buissnes. For gamecube fans i'm sorry but life isn't fair. ... Read more

4-0 out of 5 stars Lots of Fun
This is a fun game even if you can't sing. And I think it can help your singing as you get into it.The game is similar to the dance revolution game.On the bottom of the screen there will be the words you need to sing and a visual guide with an arrow pointing up or down to let you know that you're flat or sharp. If you're just right, you get the crowd excited and cheering. It's a great party game.My only complaint is that there aren't enough songs on it.You can go on Xbox live and download other songs, but they're $5 for 5 or 6 songs. In addition, the songs available appear to be the same songs that are on the Playstation 2 version of this game (like Jessie's Girl, I Believe in a Thing Called Love, Sweet Home Alabama).Having said that, though, it's definitely worth getting.

5-0 out of 5 stars For X-box is Karaoke Reviolution not Karaoke Revolution 3
Love the series.I was never someone who hit the karaoke bar's on Friday night, but every party we have, we bring it out and its always a hit.Even the people who don't compete will usually sing along as they watch.Be careful, its addictive.

4-0 out of 5 stars sduck
Love it! Its for every person who loves to sing, but won't get up in public. I received it as a Christmas gift, and its great you can have the fun of performing in front of a crowd without ever leaving the house. My family came for Christmas and they wouldn't sing at first, when they realized how fun it was we played for 2 hours. My nieces 13, 11, 9 went out the next week and bought it for PS2 and fight over the mike. Lots of fun

2-0 out of 5 stars not bad
well this is not a bad idea...maybe that game will sell more on the Xbox...maybe this will help the franchise even more ... Read more

5-0 out of 5 stars One of my favorite golf games for the consoles
Yep, I'm one of those people that likes Links 2004 better than the Tiger Woods games. Thats not to say that I don't like the Tiger Woods games at all but I think that on the Xbox, Links is the way to go. I prefer the sim approach as opposed to Tigers more arcade style although I think both are great games. I really like the graphics in Links as well as the sound effects and music. Links also has online play which is fun but I have actually spent most of my time building up the stats of my created guy. You can also download several courses over Xbox live although I have yet to do that so I can't say if they are worth it or not. Overall, both series have their pros and cons, however Links 2004 is one golf game that will entertain you for quite a while.

4-0 out of 5 stars Awesome
This is one the best golf games I have ever owned. You can create your charatures and then follow them thru their career. The graphics are really realistic, and you can upload your own soundtrack to listen to while you golf. I personally uploaded Tim McGraw's greatest hits, and that is great to listen to while I golf. This game is really fun to play with your friends.

4-0 out of 5 stars best golf game
this golf game is simple so it is easier for kids. Also it has many modes, such as practice shots and intense competition!

5-0 out of 5 stars Better than Tiger Wood
Not a lot of fluff, just good game play. When you do what you're suppose to do you make the shot.

4-0 out of 5 stars Rock Solid Gameplay
Links 2004 is a fairly decent golf game. You get to choose and design your player and then start off on a career. The controls are fairly easy and there's really no learning curve to this game. One you pass a few tests, new courses and tournaments open up.The one thing I didn't like were the announcers in this game.Their commentary is so choppy it gets annoying, fast.
Despite the game's uneven presentation, Links 2004 is still a good choice. The game is not much different from Tiger Woods PGA Tour 2004, but it's generally not as polished or feature-rich. ... Read more

4-0 out of 5 stars Has its flaws but deffinitly worth it
As a former Sonic the Hedgehog fanatic growing up on these games I went out first thing to get this for Xbox when I found out about it. Overall, I am not disappointed. I do have several, small complaints.

The first would be the hidden games. It was kind of annoying to have to sit there and open/close each game somewhere around 20 to 30 times each to unlock the hidden games. Now I don't really care for Ooze or Comix Zone, and I don't even think Ristar should be included as its a Sonic collection, and many Sonic games were omitted from this collection in favor of these other Sega games. However, it was frustrating to have to unlock Sonic 3 & knuckles, which is basically the only way to play sonic 3 OR sonic and knuckles (at least ever since they've both been out.)

The other main problem I have with it, which I've already touched on a bit, is that some of the sonic games are missing. Now I'll admit that I'm a little bit of a completionist, but even then, would it have hurt to add Sonic CD, Sonic Triple Trouble, or even some of the offshoot games with Sonic characters like Knuckles Chaotix, etc. I mean honestly, don't tell me there wasn't space for the extra games when they can manage to fit a monument to video gaming like Halo on a single disc.

Sonic CD and Triple Trouble especially would be important since they introduce important characters that have been used in games and the comics since. Amy has been used extensively in more recent sonic adventure and sonic advance games and mecha sonic was an important character in the comics. Nack didn't get a lot of development as a character but it could have been a great start, and even though it wasn't, Triple Trouble was still probably the least shallow game gear sonic game, as well as the most playable. From what I've seen, Sega has also started re-using the characters from Chaotix. These are all solid Sonic games that should have been included, instead of two versions of spinball/mean bean machine, etc. Also, on a final note, Sonic Drift was a piece of crap. However, Sonic Drift 2 made a lot of improvements on the idea. I haven't the slightest idea why they included the first one instead of the second one

Overall, I was glad to add this game to my collection. Don't let my criticisms deter you from buying it because it's a good purchase (and for so little money I feel like I'm practically STEALING.) It's just that as a huge Sonic the Hedgehog fanatic growing up, I feel Sega could have gone the whole way with very little to no extra effort. Maybe I have a sonic mega collection plus 2 to look forward to on a future system.

4-0 out of 5 stars How can you not love this?
Its great to see this out on all of the major consoles, I fell bad for the Game Cube owners that don't get to play the Game Gear games that are on the Xbox and PS2 versions. If you grew up in "Nintendo" generation like I did this a definite must have, if only to take you back to simpler times when systems only had a d-pad and 2 or 3 buttons, and we couldn't save our games. You little kids don't have any idea how good you have it with your built in hard drives, memory cards and photo realistic graphics. This has all the great Sonic games you remember from the past and some of the not so good ones too.Really only Sonic 3d Blast, it was definitely a cool idea in its day, but I dare you to play that game and not get an upset stomach. The controls are well adapted to the Xbox; you can use the analog stick, although it just doesn't fell right if you played these on the Genesis. The graphics and sound are just as you will remember and the ability to save your progress makes it worth every penny. All said and done this is a must have for any one who has been playing video games for the past decade or more, and might even be enough to keep the younger ones entertained for a while.

5-0 out of 5 stars This game is great!
If you loved the old soinc games you will love this! The older sonic games are better than the the newer ones like sonic heros!
I love this game. It also has a great priceonly //////]bought

4-0 out of 5 stars Good, but definitely not perfect.
In 2002, Sonic Mega Collection was released for the Nintendo GameCube. It featured Sonic the Hedgehog, Sonic 2, Sonic 3, Sonic & Knuckles, Sonic Spinball, Dr. Robotnik's Mean Bean Machine, and the lackluster Sonic 3D Blast. It also included extra games such as Knuckles in Sonic 2, Sonic 3 & Knuckles, Blue Sphere, Flicky, and Ristar.

If you weren't gaming back in the Sega Genesis days, Sonic & Knuckles featured a lock-on technology. If you plugged Sonic 2 into Sonic & Knuckles, and put Sonic & Knuckles into the Genesis, you could play as Knuckles in Sonic 2. If you did the same thing using Sonic 3 instead, you could play Sonic 3 with Knuckles and play the two games as if they were one big game. If you plugged any other game into Sonic & Knuckles, you would get Blue Sphere, a game compiled of chaos emerald levels like those in Sonic 3.

Now, the X-Box and PS2 have also gotten similar treatment with Sonic Mega Collection Plus. Sonic Mega Collection Plus includes all the previous games that were included in Sonic Mega Collection for GameCube, and some additional games. This package also includes 6 Game Gear Sonic games including Sonic the Hedgehog, Sonic Chaos, Sonic Drift, Sonic Labyrinth, Sonic Blast, and Dr. Robotnik's Mean Bean Machine. The Game Gear titles are playable right off, but the lock-on Genesis Sonic games as well as Flicky and Ristar must be unlocked. There are two additional games to unlock as well. These games are Comix Zone and The Ooze.

The collection also features some nifty extras like comic book scans, movies from Sonic Heroes, other illustrations, and a complete set of instruction manuals for the games on this collection. Another feature added to the game is the ability to save anywhere on any game. Originally, there was no save feature in Sonic 1 or 2. Now, you may save anywhere in the game that you wish.

There is a bit of a downside. The collection of games is somewhat incomplete. I would've liked to see more Game Gear Sonic titles included such as Sonic 2, Sonic & Tails Triple Trouble, Sonic Drift 2, Sonic Spinball, and Tails Adventure.

I would've also liked to see some other games in this collection such as the Sega CD's Sonic CD as well as Sonic R from the Sega Saturn, and the often forgotten Knuckles Chaotix from the 32X. Another oddity is the fact the games don't take up the whole screen. Whether you are playing Sonic 1, Sonic 3, or even Sonic Spinball, all the games have a small border around them.

Overall, this is a good collection of classic Sonic titles. And for the bargin price, anyone with a PS2 or X-Box should definitely consider this title. If you already own the collection for the GameCube, you may still want to consider this for the additional titles, save feature, and extras. However, if you are a purist and want to play the classic Genesis titles full screen and without being able to save, you'd be better off hanging onto Sonic Mega Collection for GameCube.

4-0 out of 5 stars Robotnik Can't Stand The Reign
It always does show that older games can relly be much more fun than highly visual games with overused graphics and outrageous detail sometimes. Largely, because of the influence classic games brought to the table. For Sega, nothing says that theory very well other than their legendary mascot, Sonic The Hedgehog. Even though Sega isn't making any new video game systems, they are still showcasing that the classic never ever dies. In 2002, Sega unveiled the Sonic Mega Collection for the Nintendo Gamecube. The move proved to be a success and one of Nintendo's most popular video games for their Gamecube. Now, the collection has expanded, and finally landed on the Xbox game system.

The Sonic Mega Collection Plus is a collection of 7 legandary Sonic series games from the classic Genesis system era, and 6 games from Sega's handheld Game Gear era as well. The games here all have been reissued very well here, and the games are just like they are new here. All the classics have been restored graciously including Sonic 1, Sonic 2, Sonic 3, Sonic & Knuckles, and Sonic 3D Blast. The games here are just as fast, furious and comelling here, without a single flaw missing. The collection also includes Game Gear versions of Sonic 1 & 2, as well as Game Gear classics like the compelling and challenging Sonic Chaos, Sonic Triple Trouble, and the Mario Kart like themed racing game Sonic Drift 2. The collection also includes copies of The Sonic comic collection series here from the mid 90's, as well as extra unlockable games like Sonic 3 & Knuckles, Knuckles In Sonic 2, Ristar and Flicky, a classic from Sega's 1980's master system.

All in all, Sonic Mega Collection Plus is a very exciting multipack of some of the greatest games from a definitive landmark hedgehog. If you have the Gamecube as well as the Xbox, and purchased Sonic Mega Collection for the Gamecube, than this really may not be worth the money. But, for Xbox gamers, Sonic Mega Collection Plus stands very well and extremely fast on its own. This should be one fox Xboxers in their libraries.

4-0 out of 5 stars Good for the Scooby loving little-gamers
My son is 4 years old - and I had bought him the first Scooby Doo game (Night of 100 Frights) thinking that it would be great to start him off. That game is, frankly, way too hard for kids his age (some of the levels were nearly impossible for me to get past).I wasn't sure when I bought this one, if I was just going to be subjecting us to more frustration- but he saw the commercials and desperately wanted it.
My first impressions are that it is MUCH easier to navigate- as there are actually some hints as you go along helping you accomplish tasks to move forward. In this game, Scooby and Shaggy travel around together- and you can switch between whether you want Scooby leading the way or Shaggy. And, this time around, the goal isn't to eat all the Scooby Snacks along the way-you have to find clues and accomplish tasks to move through each location. There are helpful little animated scenes that play at certain points- and if you walk away from the game for more than a few minutes, Shaggy droops over and starts snoring loudly. It's cute.
We are still just beginning to learn how to play this game- and are not hardcore gamers by any stretch- so I can't give technical features of the game.I would say the graphics are good- pretty true to the cartoon, and the music is not terribly thrilling, but definitely in keeping with creeping along in spooky places.
I would reccomend Mystery Mayhem for game players in the 4-10 age range - or so.
Hope this helps! ... Read more

5-0 out of 5 stars The Collection For The Box
Anyone who grew up in the late 80s or 90s with an NES will remember Mega Man, no questions asked. He's the fella that packed a punch; behind his cute face and bright blue helmet lurked a vast pool of powerful skills. His Mega Buster did well in battle, but he really soared as he acquired the weapons of his fallen enemies, and used them to more easily conquer other foes. Mega Man is the robot creation of one Dr. Light, a kindly scientist who once created robots for completing tasks that humans didn't wish to do. When the mad Dr. Wily began to become jealous of Dr. Light's work, he was known to create batches of robots - usually eight at a time! - and set them off to take over the world. When this crazy doctor started to do this, Dr. Light countered by creating the beloved Mega Man. This Anniversary collection chronicles eight separate waves of Dr. Wily's minions in their complete, original glory, just as they were so many years ago. The first six games were exclusive to the Nintendo Entertainment System, while Mega Man 7 debuted on the Super Nintendo and Mega Man 8 was exclusive to the PlayStation. It is interesting to note just how good each of these games has held up over the years - the graphics of all were quite impressive for their time and look good today still, especially the latter two entries; the music in a number of the games is downright excellent, and the gameplay is perfectly classic. Jumping into a game, for those of you not familiar with the process, leads to a a selection screen. Although this varies from game to game, most featured eight robot heads with names such as Cut Man, Guts Man, Heat Man, Top Man, Snake Man, and Bubble Man. Picking a level launches that robot's level, which must be traversed successfully before finishing off the robot that rules over that area. Those of you who have played Mega Man games will also recall a nifty secret: certain weapons work on certain bosses far better than other ones. The Mega Man games are in general rather difficult, but by playing the levels in the proper order, they become a whole lot easier.
Capcom did take the liberty of implementing a few helpful features for gamers who will undoubtedly have trouble, given the difficulty level of most games released today. They've added convenient weapon-switching with the left- and right-triggers, instead of a constant need to pause the game to change weapons. There have been maps created for each level; a nice novelty, despite their apparent lack of real necessity, as they are quite vague. Most importantly is the addition of a "Turbo"-esque button, which fires off three consecutive shots as opposed to one. Or if the game is still too challenging, players can up the number of their lives. What is nice, though, is that all of these features can be completely ignored if the player chooses - the games will still be just as tough as you remember. In addition to the main eight games, which are emulated exactly to a T, there are two bonus games that most Americans probably haven't played, and are actually arcade-style fighting games where you fight off various characters from the games. Other bonuses include producer interviews, an episode of an Nt Warrior, remixed tunes, concept art, and a bonus video As if playing through the games weren't fun enough, you actually get things for doing it! The graphics in the games are definitely on par with others available at the time. The NES games are colorful and sport distinctive characters, creative locales, and quite simply feel very solid. The Super Nintendo game looks awsome, with details that the NES could only dream of producing, and the PlayStation title looks even better, with really fantastic animation. They all look good in their own way, however, as the art is more than up to tuff and very original. The sound found here is easily one of the best things about these games, though. While most tracks are at least somewhat catchy or fun, some of these tracks have reached nearly classical status over the years, with some bands doing their own renditions of whole game soundtracks. My personal favorite is Mega Man 3's, but perhaps that's because it was the first one I played the others, no doubt, carry cool tunes. The music isn't quite as impressive in the latter two entries - perhaps that's the trade-off for good graphics - but they do feature voiceovers, which are only questionably good, but at least humorous. Hearing "I'm Clown Man!" at the start of a level isn't exactly immersive, but it certainly is funny.
What we've got in the end is one fantastic awsome classic collection. Mega Man 1-8 are all good in their own right, some of them maybe even masterpieces, and always a good time. They're easily an important aspect of gaming history, and this collection more than does the games justice, not just for the young crowd but for those with fond memories, as well. Bring on a Mega Man X Collection, Capcom!

5-0 out of 5 stars You can never beat the classics
This game should probably already be an Xbox platinum hit. Because I mean the game has 10 megaman games in one it even has Megaman The Power Battles and The Power Fighters which were never relesed in the US. Plus having the games Megaman 1-8 remade so it can fit Xbox requirements. Because if they left it as it were with those graphics on the NES, and SNES... it be a disaster. Thatm is as much as I can say without using spoilers. I give this game a 4.99 out of 5 and a 9.98 out of 10.

5-0 out of 5 stars I'm Hooked!
I loved these games on NES, it's so much fun to play them again. If you want a slight upgrade, the Navi mode allows for a remix of the music and helps you on the way.For the most part these games remain untouched. While we had to wait 9 months longer for the release on X-Box, it was worth the wait. These games are great!Worth the $20!

5-0 out of 5 stars These games are really FUN!!!
I was a kid when the Mega Man games first came out for Nintendo. The only ones I ever played were 2, 3, and 4, and we only owned 2. Still, I couldn't wait for this game to come out. Us poor Xbox owners had to wait 9 months past the release date for PS2 and GC, but it was well worth it. That said, I love this game.

A big part of my love for this game is nostalgia. Playing these old games again really takes me back. However, there is something else. These games are FUN!!!My biggest complaint about modern games is the lack of replay value. That is not the case with this game. I can play Mega Man over and over and not get bored. In recent months, I have found myself dusting off the Nintendo and playing Mega Man 2, years after I had first beaten it. Now, I can play them all forever on Xbox.

Also, kudos to Capcom for leaving the games unaltered. There is an optional Navi Mode that gives you tips during play, slightly changes the weapons menu, and provides remixed music for many of the levels, but I don't use it unless I want to hear the new music. The old school grphics and music are great.

Also, the buttons for the Xbox version are in their correct places. I have played the GC version and the buttons are switched! I shot when I wanted to jump and jumped when I wanted to shoot. No such problem on the Xbox. However, if you want the buttons switched, there are four different controller configurations to choose from. I also hear that the PS2 buttons are in their correct places.

In conclusion, I definitely recommend this game for those familiar with the old school Nintendo versions and for new gamers as well. They have great replay value, and for 20 bucks, how can you go wrong? ... Read more

5-0 out of 5 stars Shenmue II is an instant CLASSIC..
One of the Greatest Dreamcast games ever made is finally making it's second appearance...ON THE MICROSOFT XBOX.Shenmue II not only out does the first one in every way but surprasses it even more, this game is unbelievable. It is handsdown, my favorite Xbox game ever...EVER.The story continues with Ryu Hazuki on the journey to find his fathers murderer and to meet a man who may know alot of things about his father then he'd imagine. Now the game takes place in Hong Kong, and Ryu is still on the hunt....get ready because not only are playing one of the best sequals to a game ever..but you'll be having one of the greatest video game experiences....ever..

Shenmues Graphics are just amazing, As you've already notice I'm not going to give it a negative on visuals since it's not fair because this is a DIRECT PORT from Dreamcast....Those idiots like IGN and gamemagazines should of known this is a direct port and that the visuals were going to be bumped up, hell it would take poor suzukie EVEN MORE YEARS to make the visuals amazing....but who cares cause this game is still AMAZING.The sound/music is just as beautiful as the original Shenmue, sometimes I'd just stand at one area and listen to the music..it's just so brilliant..The level desighn for Hong Kong/Kowloo is just incredible, especially one the final chapter of the game, which I won't spoil.Something I like Shenmue II more then Shenmue I is that Shenmue II is just one of those flat out "Sequals that didn't fail one bit" as I can see alot of people love this game but are dissapointed compared to the original...I'm not one bit, Something that Shenmue I had that made me fall in love with the game was the FREE BATTLES and QTE'S....Theres even WAY MORE of those in Shenmue II, and they've never looked so good on the Xbox.Other then the sequal having more action then it's predecessor, something that I loved about Shenmue is that it got you all pumped up all the way to the grand finale...THIS DOESN'T FAIL AT ALL.Especially the Yellow Head Building part, which is by far one of the greatest moments in Video game history..Everything about Shenmue II on Xbox is amazing....It's just so Brilliant!!!!!

Now for anyone who hated Shenmues Slow paced gameplay DO NOT GET THIS GAME, Shenmue II is just the same(but a lil better) as it's predecessor. It will take awhile to get to the action....More like when you're at the end of the first chapter which by the far longest in this game..Did I mention this has a very good Length..If you skip all the sidequests and just beat the story for the first thenmue, it would take about maybe...10 to 14 hours...It took me about 13 hours and 45 minutes.. Shenmue II takes about 20 to 30 hours of just playing the story mode of it and skipping some side quests....It's just bigger, better and longer...

The Good
-Superb Visuals and got a bit bumped up on the Xbox
-longer then the original
-the voice acting got a tad bit better but not by much
-Theres more character development and we finally know what SHENMUE means!!
-An amazing scenarion that has to do with the Yellow Head Building and LAN DI!!
-More FREE BATTLES and QTE'S
-More clues to find and people to ask, for me it was fun
-The Music is beautiful
-IT'S Just better then the original...that's all I can say about that....

The Bad
-The controls are TERRIBLE, I had to adjust em' before playing the game
-It got a lot of bad review on lots of sites about it's visuals...they should have known it's a straight port from the Dreamcast
-Just like the Dreamcast...Poor Sales for Shenmue II means NO Shenmue III in the future
-Some like myself were left wanting more after Shenmue II's Ending...amazing though..

Shenmue II on the Xbox is one of the best games ever made, and one of the most overlooked xbox title ever..period..Just like every other Sega Game on Xbox...Please if you liked the original you will LOVE Shenmue II, it's just better, longer, better looking, more action, MORE EVERYTHING!!Why the perfect score?..Because on like most of the idiots who gave it abad score cause of Visuals, I'm being mature about it, so what if it's a direct port from DC, The visuals are still amazing even if it's no Doom 3 or Ninja Gaiden....Other then that, Shenmue II is just a beautiful game and that is why I give it a.......

5 out of 5 stars...

Brilliant game....

5-0 out of 5 stars I can't wait any more I going crazy
For you guys who haven't played Shenmue 2 yet it is a great game there are few games that will take you for a ride like this one. I'm sure everyone who has beaten this game knows the feeling I'm taking about. I could tell at the end that the game it was about to end and I hoped and prayed that this game would go on forever. I read on the internet that there are 16 chapters to Shenmue. The 1st one for DC was the first chapter, part two is chapters 3-5. chapter 2 took place on the boat ride to hong kong.

5-0 out of 5 stars Grat game, overall.
Never played the first Shenmue. Bought this game because i finally beat Morrowind. This game is great. Many things to do, many interations, and a lot of freedom. The only negatives I found in this game were the vastly inferior graphics, and the lack of any sort of actual ending. Otherwise it's fun game.

4-0 out of 5 stars Shenmue 3 soon?
Hey guys. It's been over a year now since Shenmue 2 was released and I'm sick of waiting for another sequel. I can't wait any longer. We need some sort of an update on when the game will be comeing out so we have something to look forward to, I don't care if I have to wait I just want to know when the game comes out. Also if you haven't tried Shenmue than I would highly recommend this video game. It is one of my favorite video games that I have ever played and it just gives off so much real life freedom. Theres more frequent fight scenes and QTE scenes than the first that makes this game the total package! Ryo Hazuki explores 3 new places Hong Kong, Kowloon, and Guilen. Anyways if you haven't boughten this game yet, than you should right now! Believe me you wont be sorry!

5-0 out of 5 stars best game alltime
i agree like others shenmue 1 and 2 are among the greatest games alltime great story amazing graphics and mix of movie like cinemas with a deep easy fighting engine in shenmue youre looking for the man who killed your father youll travel around asking questions fighting buying grocerys even working all to help you on your ultimate goal in shenmue 2 u arrive in hongkong to keep on the trail of the man who killed your father theres so many cool things you can do in this game buy diffrent cassetes to play even play old 80s games in an arcade inside the game that has all segas arcade games they had in 1987 the year this games based in this game time matters and it goes from day to night seasons change and youll interact with hundreds of people and do hundreds of mini tasks as u look for your fathers killer when u fight its like an action movie only it controls perfect and its deep fighting u have over 50 moves buy this game while they still make new copies its got a cult following for a reason the game teaches u to exhaust all options before fighting respect the ederly feed the hungry and animals its a really cool smart game the ending is amazing and cost 5 million just to make the final scene theres no other game like it youll become addicted to the minigames and shed a few tears over the games artistic beauty i kid u not we are all waiting on yu suzuki to announce a third and final shenmue ... 5-0 out of 5 stars My 7 year old daughter loves thinks....
this is the best game she has played on the XBOX.We also have Finding Nemo, but she gets flustered with that game. However, with Fairly Odd Parents: Breakin' Da Rules she is able to play the game with ease over and over again trying to get to Vicki.

She has told me this is the best game (besides THUG - Tony Hawk UnderGround) she has played on the XBOX.

4-0 out of 5 stars Breakin' Da Rules- RULES!
This game was purchased for my little boy who is almost 4.He likes the show so we thought this game would be a cute addition to our xbox collection. It turns out and the game is EXCELLENT!My husband (almost 30 and myself 26) are hooked to playing this game! Our son loves to watch us play it and gets a huge laugh out of it.I have played games I liked better than this one and the graphics are somewhat lacking quality for what I would have expected- but there are so many good things about this game that I feel the purchase was a good one.
First off about the game- Vicky gets a hold of DA RULES book and anything she wishes happens, so Timmy has to go through lots of crazy stages! There is different stages you can select to play.Timmy can choose to play as the mini crimson chin where he is dressed in the red crimson chin outfit to fight crime and Timmy gets has a laser type gun to shoot.Another funny stage Timmy gets to play inside a real video game called the Vicky Virus where he and his friends are stuck inside the game, Timmy has to save his friends! The one we thought was the most funny stage was when Vicky wished that Timmys bathroom was spotless and Timmy turns into a small microscopic player, as small as a germ and he is dressed in this white suit to keep him from getting bacteria on him, he has to fight against grime, grease and soap scum!He has to spray the soap scum clean- when he sprays the icky green soap scum they turn into a white smiling happy soap bubble! Its crazy!
This game is like the tv show and if you beat the game there is suppose to be a bonus episode of The Fairly Oddparents- which I think is a brilliant idea for a game to include! Also has 8 clips from the tv show and an exclusive game interview with the creator Butch Hartman.
RENT THIS OR BUY IT- YOU"LL LIKE IT!!!
This game may not be what you are looking for and my description may not be award winning- but at least rent it and try it out if your not planning on buying it.But for $20 bucks- its worth it!

1-0 out of 5 stars Example of a Flop
This game is a total flop. It has decent graphics which look very similar to the tv show; it feels like you are in the cartoon. There is a variety of gameplay implemented (though poorly done). Some levels you'll fly like a helicopter, others you swing around like spiderman, by jumping from one building to the next. In other levels you are inside a video game and the enviroment looks like virtual reality. And there is also a level where you are robot in the microscopic world. Sounds like fun huh? But it lacks the good humor from the tv show. It's very frustrating because there is no mini-map or directional arrows, then you end up getting lost in the level! This makes it too hard for the younger gamers and too boring for older gamers.
I suggest that you get other kids game like "Crash Bandicoot" or
"I-Ninja"

Pros:

+looks like the tv show
+sounds like the tv show
+variety in level play
+good controls

Cons:

-stupid weapons
-very, very short levels
-very, very short game
-you will get lost (no mini-map)
-not as funny as tv show
-too hard for kids
-too boring for adults

4-0 out of 5 stars pathetic
Well, I THINK the developers tried to make a somewhat decent game... but they failed horribly.Wouldn't you think they'd stop telling you what magical stars do after you pick up around 80 of 'em?Well, they don't.And, man, if those godparents weren't there to tell me to jump by pressing the jump button... I don't know where I'd be right now.

4-0 out of 5 stars awsm
I loved the game! it is fun because it's funny. i like it when you have to dance, turn into a dog, and be in the video game. ... Read more

3-0 out of 5 stars Graphics are awesome, game sux
this game is the follow up to one of the best selling baseball games of 2004. its advertised well, but thats it. you get the game hoping to see all the previous years' errors fixed plus some new features. it has some of the greatest graphics i have seen in my life, but the gameplay lets u down. it is very hard and complicated, plus there are some really strange errors like you dive and the ball just sort of magically appears in your glove, evn if you werent going to catch it. trust me, rent it if u want, but buy MVP baseball 2005, its much better!

1-0 out of 5 stars bug-ridden piece of crap
the game play is good and the game itself is just beautiful to look at, but all of this is will quickly be forgotten when the game locks up for 2 minutes after every other play.take your money elsewhere

3-0 out of 5 stars Major League Baseball 2K5
First, I have to say that this game is very fun. The mechanics are great, and the pitching is flawless. I love the ESPN K-Zone pitching system. This was a great idea on the part of 2K sports. I also love the batting mechanics. I almost hit some homeruns. This is where the game begins to lack.

First off, they say you can climb the wall to catch low homeruns, and sometimes you can. Most of the time though, your player runs up to the wall, presses against it, and watches as a catchable homerun flies over his head. Very close to his head. You think as you finally step up to bat, "Ah, now I get to to stomp all over them," but in truth, they catch everything. Is there a homerun twenty feet in the air? No matter! The opposing team just lifts up their gloves as the ball magnetically flies into their mit.

All in all, this game is pretty even. It isn't bad. It isn't good. Just good old fashioned mediocre baseball.

4-0 out of 5 stars Best baseball game I've ever played
I actually rate this 4.5 stars, but there's no option for that. Anyway, this is the only b-ball game I've ever kept for a moderate period of time. I had MVP 2004 and the All-Star Baseball games in the past, they were fun for a short while, then I totally lost interest for various reasons. This game by far has the best pitching/batting interface i've ever seen. I don't understand why some people complain how tough the pitching aspect is, I play on All-star difficulty and find it extremely easy (as long as you good aim). The graphics are great, the commentary is superb, the defense is a bit simple (ground balls to an infielder is an automatic out 99.9% of the time), and tons of unlockables. This game boasts the best Home run Derby in my opinion too. The one negative I have is for simple things. The Marlins cathcer, Paul Lo Duca, well on the back of his jersey, his name is spelled wrong. I've seen it as LOWDUCA and even today it was spelled LORDUCA!?!?!?! And i'm doing a season with the Mets and i'm 7-1, but at the start of today's game, Joe Morgan said I've lost 7 of my last 10 games!?!?!? Also, when a fly ball is hit to your outfielder, occasionally, he'll just plain drop it. Because I haven't played MVP 2005 or MLB 2006, I can't comment on those, but for my money (19.99 new), MLB 2K5 delivers. GO METS!

2-0 out of 5 stars SO COOL YET TOTALLY BLOWS.............
I'm sure you guys are wondering how a cool game can blow so here's the word. I play the games and I play franchise mode. Here's my response on both issues....

Gameplay: GREAT. K-Zone is so awesome to use. You can use pinpoint accuracy in throwing your pitches. To balance this out, when the pitcher starts getting tired or a big slugger is at the plate in a pressure situation in a close game, the cursors go faster. To throw the ball, you must first move the cursor to the desired location. Then you hit the corresponding button. Y may be for a slider, A for fastball, B for cutter and so forth. You pick your spot, hit the button and a horizontal cursor moves across the screen and you simply hit any button (A,B,Y,X) when it lines up with the initial location and then vertically the cursor moves and you again hit a button to line it up. If you miss too far left, the pitch will go left. If you miss high or low, it will go higher or lower. It makes it fairly tough at times to be accurate which is how it is in real life. If that was confusing, if you've played basketball and used the free throw system, this is exactly the same but it's not as frustrating as in basketball where Shaq NEVER makes one.

Turning double plays is easy. Fielding can be a challenge at times if you don't get your player in proper position but overall, very easy to do. You shouldn't make too many human errors with the controls. Batting, depending on the difficulty level. Don't use legend at first or you will be frustrated. Start off with rookie and develop your swing and PATIENCE and work your way up.

Graphics, pretty life like. Very nice overall. Great part of having an Xbox, you can add your own stadium music, batter intro's etc. Takes a lot of time but it's worth it if you are into that kind of stuff.

When playing with two friends, it's easy to see the pitch with the K-Zone. To solve this, simply, change it to a meter system and the K-Zone disappears. You lose total precision yet with the vibration on which tells you when you are out of the strike zone, you can still get your pitches fairly close without your opponent knowing where the pitch is coming. Very nice they added this. Makes playing with others fun.

Overall 5 stars.

Now, onto the franchise mode.

Totally freaking blows.

Contracts: Not real amounts. Some players make more and some less than their real life counterparts.

I played a game three times and it wouldn't save. I HAVE to have accurate stats and I don't want the CPU to have to simulate a game for me. I had to. It wouldn't save. Also, you can't save a game in the middle of it as in Madden 2005. You must simulate it or shut your Xbox off. I suggest, shut off the Xbox. When you simulate and then reload the season without saving, that's not fail proof. I lost once through simulation (I accidentally hit simulate instead of play game) and reloaded and play the game later. I really did lose. It was the fourth game of the season and I should've been 3-1. The standing showed 3-2. It somehow counted the loss that never was. Very homosexual. One time I had to quit a game midstream because I wasn't ready for legend mode. I was losing 6-2 in the 7th. I ended up winning 10-4!!!!! Tell me where that teams two runs went? To top that off, it mysteriously saved it. I simply simulated and quit the season WITHOUT saving because I simulated and then shut the Xbox off. Suggestion, NEVER simulate regardless.

CPU ALWAYS tries to screw up your lineup no matter what you tell it. If you don't keep a good memory on who last pitched, CPU will try to pitch someone twice. If you make a trade, it's over with. Your whole rotation is in shambles. CPU is just ignorant.

There are a few good things however in the franchise mode. You can do a GM franchise season or whatever and you have to choose a team and work for the GM. Depending on his managing style will depend on what tasks you must perform. Money grubbing owners (Royals, Pirates) who care nothing of winning will want you to keep costs and complete minimum even if it means trading your best player like Beltran to the Astros for minor leaguers or whatever complete rip off occured a few season back with the Royals. Of course, the Yankees want nothing short of a championship or you'll probably get fired really quick. It's cool to mess around with until the GM tells you to axe your favorite players because he's overpaid. You won't always get fired if you ignore his wishes as long as you do the most important one. In my case, it was winning and I won several titles so who cares if I got to keep my favorite player if I won a World Series. The owner wasn't too pissed.

Minor leaguers: You can promote, demote and check out stats for your minor leaguers. At the end of the season, a progress report is issued and shows how your players are doing. When making trades, be sure to click with the analog stick to check out the players profile and his potential. It's always good to sneak in a minor leaguer or two in a big trade as they will be the future of your franchise. Especially the Kansas City Royals or someone like that. They can't afford anyone but minor leaguers and seem to be a farm team for the Yankees and the rest of the MLB.

Overall, with the stats errors, CPU retardation and stupid fake contracts, it's a 1.

Balanced out, I give the game an overall three. It's fun, until you run into problems (all the time). ... Read more

5-0 out of 5 stars Best fishing available in your living room
This is an excellent game. You have to find good fishing spots, and arrange your tackle. There is tons of equipment, boats, etc to choose from. This is the best fishing simulation I have ever played on a console. The game is easier if you already have a good amount of fishing knowledge, but the game will teach you if you're patient. This is a great game to play online with friends while chatting. It's fun just to drive your boat up to a competitor and watch them reel in the big one.I almost feel like I'm outside fishing when I play this game.

2-0 out of 5 stars Buggy, buggy, and buggy!
The concept here is great. This isn't like other fishing games which are shot from the lures 'point of view'.Instead, it is just what you might see if you went fishing yourself. There are lots of lures (soft and hard) to choose from and the action is realistic. Unfortunately, Pro Fishing Challenge (PFC) is horribly buggy.

I purchased the Naki fishing reel for the Xbox along with this game (PFC claims the *only* fishing reel controller for the Xbox works with its software) but it does not work as advertised! The A button frequently stops working after a fish is caught (you are forced to pull the controller out and push it back in).Occaisionally, the reel will not work at all. This may seem minor but it is a pain when you can't reel while a fish is biting. In fact, it is so irritating that I'm returning both the game *and* the controller.By the way, the default Xbox controller controls are unintuitive and cumbersome; what fun are fishing games without the 'reel' controller?

As with all Xbox games & accessories I have encountered, support is non-existant (calling the xbox.com numbers is a *joke* and nakiusa.com has been down for days).Your only real option is whatever grace period is allowed by the retailer. This coupled with the bugs is why I cannot recommend this game.

5-0 out of 5 stars Best Fishing Game
This is the best fishing game you can buy for the xbox. It's a true simulation of fishing, and it does take some fishing knowledge, that the game will teach you. This is a vey fun game to play online and offline.I highly recommend it, even if you've never fished before

5-0 out of 5 stars Online tournaments... FANTASTIC
Online tournaments, fantastic

I couldn't believe what a great game this is. A fisherman for over 30 years I didn't expect much but this game is truly is a fishing simulator. The best part about it is online options and lobby you can create any kind of fishing tournament restricting the line to 2 pound test, pan fish only, all the way to any combination you can think of . You can even restrict motors to four hp or any boat they own.

Nightly tournaments are held at 5:30 p.m. Pacific 8:30 p.m. Eastern to check the complete fishing tournament schedule and calendar go to XBLgames.com

This game is a must-have for anyone even remotely interested in fishing but it is an excellent videogame for those who don't fish. Being a simulator it will also help you learn how to fish.

5-0 out of 5 stars Great game!
My son is 6 and it is sometimes difficult to find games that are fun, challenging and at the same time easy enough for him to play himself. This game is not only fun for both of us, but it's challenging in a way that is not too hard for him nor too easy for me. We enjoy playing together and helping each other through the levels. Graphics and controls are great. The game is creative with fun "extras" to find that will make you laugh. My favorite part is the text boxes. My son doesn't have to call me into the room every 5 minutes to read the text for him because the game reads it outloud for him! Great feature!! We loved the movie and will enjoy the game for months to come! ... Read more

3-0 out of 5 stars GOOD TO LEARN
This game is good to learn how to play and to pass the time. I would not buy it if you are a serios poker player.

2-0 out of 5 stars Fun, but not for serious players...
I received this game as a Christmas gift, and have had some fun playing it as a means to (a) pass the time, and (b) see lots of flops...however, I would not recommend it for anyone serious about improving their poker game.I consider the AI in this game ridiculous, because the bets that the various players make (or don't make) aren't in any way logical to those who understand tight, aggressive poker playing.Even an average player should be able to beat the toughest level of the highest value tournament within their first few tries.Honestly, if you're serious enough about poker that you're trying to understand the theory and the math behind it (i.e. those who are reading the numerous books available on the topic), I'd steer way clear of this game.If you're just looking to have some fun, then it's not that bad.

1-0 out of 5 stars Not worth the $20! DONT BUY THIS GAME!
I am an avid poker player and thought for only $20, it would be worth it to buy this game. The computer players are horrible. The plays made are absolute nonsense. I havent played it for xbox live but I would recommend to just go play with people online for free if you want to go that route. The progamming in this game also is just terrible. The game play is sickening, there are bad glitches that could have been fixed with half-intelligent programming, and there are no good features in this game. DONT BUY THIS GAME!!!

4-0 out of 5 stars Good for poker fans.
If you love poker video games this is the best one to get and the price is really good for it to. Sure the grafics are kind of bad but why do you need good grafics for a poker game. Plus the A.I. is really good they will trick you. This is the best poker game out there! Get it the price is really good. Only 19.99 at toysrus and other stores get it!

4-0 out of 5 stars Best $20 ante I've ever made
What a steal for $20.Even if you aren't a huge poker fan, you can have choice from several different games, with different options that you shouldn't feel to bad for dropping $20 on this game.

The graphics really are weak, however, just like a prior reviewer indicated: Who cares? You don't buy a poker game for the graphics. You buy it to play or learn poker. And this title will do both.

Over-customization of your character is a little strange but it does add to the uniqueness of the game.Ultimately, you purchase this game to play on Xbox Live with everyone else.I didn't have any problem figuring out how to join a game, or create one. There seems to be ample players eagerly waiting to join your game.Right now, Texas Hold Em seems to have the majority of players.

The real gripe with the game on Live are the players that kill the game when they lose.If they are hosting the game and they go bust, chances are they will leave the game and you will get booted from the game.Horrible!I played it 10 times today and was booted on 8 when the host lost and quit.Someone really needs to find a fix for this.

Other than that, the game is worth $20 any day of the week.Heck, that's the cost of a movie and some grub. ... Read more

3-0 out of 5 stars Good game, but nothing special
The Pac Man video games were some of the first to be truly successful in the video game industry, so it's not surprising that Namco has revived the character in recent years. Pac Man has starred in a number of different types of games over the years, and here he stars in a three-dimensional platformer! Read on for my review of Pac Man World 2.

PROS:
-The graphics for this game very good, in particular those of the cut scenes. The cut scenes really must be seen to be fully appreciated.
-The controls are, for the most part, pretty easy to learn. You should be able to pick them up pretty quickly.
-There are a number of things to hunt down in every level, which slightly boosts the replay value of the game.

CONS:
-The control scheme has a number of problems, which are particularly noticable when you're in the heat of battle, or trying to make a virtually impossible jump.
-Much like the recent Sonic games, the camera is pretty lame. It has a tendency to get stuck on pretty much anything and everything, which can really hurt your gaming experience.
-The swimming controls flat out suck, mostly due to continually-shifting camera angles underwater. You shouldn't include swimming stages in a video game unless you can get it right!
-In the end, this ends up being a pretty generic three-dimensional platformer. There are considerably better games of the same genre available. The game comes off seeming like something intended more for younger players.

OVERALL:
Overall this game is decent, but it doesn't really do anything special, nor is it bound to hold your attention for very long. My advice to potential players of this game is to rent it before you make the purchase. And if you MUST buy the game, buy the Gamecube Player's Choice version - it includes the ultra-fun Pac Man Vs. multiplayer game as a bonus.

5-0 out of 5 stars I LOVE THIS GAME
Hi, Pac-man world 2 is VERY fun to play. I am on the 9th level and it is very hard ,challenging, and surprising. U never know what is gonna happen next. That's why i would reccomend this game to other people.

4-0 out of 5 stars This game is top notch!
Finally an XBOX game I can play when my mother comes to visit!!! This game is a breath of fresh air. The 3D action is a neat twist to the 2D graffics of the older versions. As you advance levels you un-lock the older games and can play them!!! The only down side is the fact that it is only a single player game. But hey, who cares it is a lot of fun!!!

4-0 out of 5 stars Great Game for Young Kids
My kids ages 5 (boy) and 8 (girl) love this game! They are obsessed...It is the one that has been able to keep their attention more than any other so far.

5-0 out of 5 stars All great Pac Man titles in a single disc
Either if you are an old pacman fan (remember Atari 2600? [yes, the console]) or you are just intrigued on how this game got its own arcade game, you may be looking at the right xbox title. This is a SINGLE player game [for all the 3D games, but i'll explain this later on], and it's basically a crusade to find the stolen golden fruits from PacMan's village. There are way more enemies other than the old 'Spooky' and friends and many levels.

pros:
+ immediate hands on experience
+ 2 gaming modes: normal and vs. time
+ as you advance in the game, you get to unlock all the original games of: PacMan, Ms. PacMan, PacMania and PacAttack, which are 1 or 2 players!
+ beautiful graphics and great sound effects
+ suitable for all ages

cons:
+ single player
+ camera angles are a little hard to control at some times

It would have been fantastic to have a pacman title with cooperative mode, but until this happens, this title will keep you in front of your tv for many, many hours of true fun. ... Read more

5-0 out of 5 stars great game
I tried this game before i went back to ea sports. This game rules man!!! With ea sports now they changed all of the controller configs. It was hard to figure out which button was the one timer and which was the speed burst. Now they have the deke moves but that might fall into your shoting buttons.Espn has it easy and the price is great.20 bucks.Plus you have the good braodcasters of Gary thorne and Bill Clement.Which is good to hear since there is no hockey this year.I just have one question.I created a player and I added him to the roster. But when I go into my season I he is niotr there.Any one have a solution for me?please help.

5-0 out of 5 stars how can you diss this game????
ok let me start off by saying this game does freeze occasionally, and this is caused, at least in my case, by the system scratching the game.i had a similar problem with madden 02, where either they made the cd too thick or my system is just dirty.

the graphics in this game, though not nearly as good as the cybermapped faces of EA's game, are very good.the whole espn presentation makes me feel like im controlling a real life game.i've had people walk in while i was playing think i was watching espn classic.the movements and animations of the characters, though goofy, flow perfectly.

the speed of this game is perfect as well.right out of the box it's perfect.you dont have to mess with any of the games many, and I mean many, sliders.your team reacts so well to everything going on on the ice, and your defense and goalies will not let in 20835729087359 goals a game.which brings up another point, the goalies.

the goalies in this game are amazing.neither team will let in a mass amount of goals, every game is a reasonable score, unless you are playing finland against belarus.anyway, the animations of the goalies is flawless.in EA's game, the goalies seem to flop around hasek style, and they tend to not play like their real life nhl brothers.in ESPN, each goalie plays similarly to his own style, and the goalies are rated very well, and play as well as they are rated.you won't have a goalie with a rating of 49 shutting out a team with a goalie of 95 10-0.

the coup de grase of this game is its franchise mode.it is beyond words.you control almost everything.hiring coaches, scouts, trainers, minor league staff.and it all affects your team.i couldnt believe the offseason either.the scouting in this game is amazing.you can actually play games and go through skills competitions with players before you draft them. there's so much more that i just dont have the time or space to talk about.

when all is said and done, for 20 bucks, you are getting a game that is worth 50.this game hip checks EA right over the boards and into the opposing bench.this is a true hockey simulation with a million different modes that i forgot to mention.party mode, shootout, skills comp, franchise (the best i have ever seen), pond hockey, mini rink mode, international, playoffs, tournament, no helmet, even the heritage classic.this game is loaded with hours and hours and hours of fun.

5-0 out of 5 stars Best NHL Game on the Market
This game is by far the best NHL game on the market for the XBOX.Technically the graphics are excellent and the sound effects are superb. For those of you claiming that the graphics are bad obviously you haven't ever played this game on a 65" big screen at 480p.I also feel the gameplay is much better than EA.I've played a lot of hockey, between 2k4, 2k5 and EA close to 2000 games and I must admit that in 2k5 the skaters don't "look" like they are skating as good as in EA however the controls "feel" more like your skating in 2k4 and 2k5.The control that 2k5 gives you over your player and the puck are unparalleled especially after you have figured out the deeking and puck protect. As far as the freezing goes... I haven't had any significant issues.I'm not saying the game has never froze but then I'm not sure I've ever owned a game that hasn't froze a few times especially after extensive play (6-8 consecutive hours).I realize that it mostly all comes down to personal preference but I've been playing both games for quite some time now and my vote would definitely have to go to 2k5.I read all the reviews about how bad this game is and my recommendation would be to rent both and play them to determine which you prefer and not take some persons review as the holy word.I would hate to see anyone miss out on the fun that you can have playing this game.

2-0 out of 5 stars Definitely not the best hockey game
I have yet to play the perfect hockey game; A lot of features and great game play defines the perfect hockey game. ESPN NHL 2K5 has a lot(I mean a lot of features) which gave this game the potential to have been the perfect hockey game. ESPN NHL 2K5 has international teams(Team Canada, USA, Russia etc), shoot-out, playing hockey on a pond!, skill shooting, playing with the previous hockey teams(like the 2001 colorodo avalanche), plus much more. These features are not found on other hockey games(like NHL RIVALS 2004) which gives ESPN NHL 2K5 an edge. However, with all these features eventually something must have been the lost of focus. And that something was the game play, the skating is the worst. In fact, it's not skating but gliding. NHL RIVALS 2004 shows the players working the legs but in ESPN NHL the players barely do any skating, it's nothing but long strokes. The game-graphics are poor, try using the "side view" (aka broadcast view) in ESPN NHL 2K5 and compare that view with NHL RIVALS 2004. ESPN's broadcast view always has a far distance, which does not help its poor game-graphics. The face-offs in ESPN is a joke compare to NHL RIVALS. What is really nice in ESPN's NHL is the ice. The sound effects are brilliant too. Overall, what killed this game was its gameplay and some poor game-graphics but if you manage to ignore it, then this could be a really good hockey game.

2-0 out of 5 stars A huge disappointment!
This is the first game I have seen where the graphics are worse than in the previous version. One big advantage of the NHL2K4 was the good graphics compared to the EA-Sports NHL games. I could have lived with the same graphics and improved gameplay in the new version, but taking a couple steps backwards with the graphics are just too much: Stay with the NHL2K4! ... Read more

1-0 out of 5 stars Don't waist your time or money
The graphics are great.I'll give it that. But if you like to play a game where the opposing team gets an inside the park home run every time they hit a gapper then this game is for you.If a ball is hit into the gap the computer will score but you will most likely only get a double if you're lucky.I've been held to a single with a gapper and a really fast player.

The opposing team hits almost everything you can throw at them.Even the computer's pitchers get a hit at least once a game even if you make a great pitch. It doesn't matter if it's in a hot zone or a cold zone.If you pitch it, they will hit it.

Don't waist your money on this game.

5-0 out of 5 stars The most smooth game ever
Okay first lets start with good things. MVP baseball 2004 is awesome because ithas incredible graphics perfect stats for all players and ithas great but hard plays to make. One thing i dont understand it how does the com. make all these great plays and I make my players 50 more speed and they still are faster. That is the only thing that I disagree about this game.<br /> Sincerely, Frank

4-0 out of 5 stars A MUST OWN BASEBALL GAME FOR THE AVID FAN
I recently bought an xbox and I am a believer that if you love sports then you must have baseball.I researched 5 baseball games before I bought this one.

It took me several weeks to get used to it.You will need to do some tweaking to get the realistic play you are looking for and you can do that through options. If you are a Bonds fan then you will find out that because Bonds refused to allow his likeness in any way that he has been renamed as Jon Dowd. That is ok becuase you can edit that player and make him into Bonds, pretty cool.As I was saying before you will need to tweak the game settings a little.I was playing it straight up in the dynasty made and had the settings as balanced across the board. My pitchers couldn't hit the zone and the game was scoring like 20 runs a game. After I tweaked the game play settings I am playing alot of 1 and 3 run games. It is really dynamic and fun as well as realistic. At first I hated this game and had I wrote a review after the first week I wouldn't have anything positive to say.Now that I have taken the time to learn it and adjust the settings it isONE HELL OF A BASEBALL GAME.I love baseball and this is a must own game for your library.Take care and enjoy.Save yourself some money and buy it second hand if you can.

5-0 out of 5 stars LOVE IT. STRAIGHT UP,
if you are looking to purchase any game...this is the game to get. I LOVE eveything about this game...from the pure swing systen to the VERY realistic dystany mode with player happiness and budgets...to the unlockables that can be unlocked like old stadiums and old school players. i agree with everyone...i bought this game a while back and im still playing it whenever i can. with baseball games, they may get boring after a while. MVP...not the case. Also, i love to go through seasons but who has the time to play 162 games? on MVP there is something called manager mode...which alows you to simulate the game pitch by pitch. it only takes a few minutes. also, if ur trailing in the 9th and u dont trust the simulation to pull it out....you can go right into the game. its a GREAT addition. collecting all the MVP points to unlock old players/stadiums/and jerseys get frusterating, but just adds to the greatness of this game.

i also agreee that there are minor glitches...but i kno EA will fix those by the next game. this will be a commanding baseball game for many years, and it will become a household name like that of madden football or halo. GET THIS GAME, AND U WILL NEVER REGRET IT!

5-0 out of 5 stars Great game with some small glitches
I have to agree with everyone else's reviews. This game is great. I've been playing it nonstop since it came out. There are a few glitches though that annoy me. They aren't enough to make me not like the game, but they are awful annoying.

1) To hard to go back on pickoffs... There are so many times when i will take a lead and i will see the computer pitcher is going to throw over. I will press the controller like 10,000 times to go back and the guy will either not dive back, or he will walk back to the base(and always get caught that way). It doesn't happen everytime, but it happens enough to get really annoying.

2) Errors.....I will rip a beautiful laser off the wall, the centerfielder will go pick up and then throw it back in. I will coast into second with a textbook stand-up double, and the announcer will say "oh and the scorer will give him an error for that one". WHAT THE ???? It happens at least once every few games, sometimes more. I will get a legitimate hit, one without a fielder even anywhere near it, and it will be ruled an error. That hurts my players batting average, and annoys the heck out of me.

Those two small glitches aside, this is a great game. I really enjoy it and agree that it is the best platform out right now... ... Read more

3-0 out of 5 stars Explanation for why names aren't there
For the same reason when you buy an NCAA jersey, it doesn't have a name on the back...

The NCAA can't directly market a single player. Yes, the networks can, ala ESPN showing a little JJ Reddick picture before a Duke/UNC game. Or CBS showing Marvin Williams taking an alley-oop from Raymond Felton for the Final Four.

However, they can't pay these athletes so they can't directly market them. That's one reason why it's damn near impossible to see a college star marketing anything that isn't the NCAA and academics.

It's why Andrew Bogut or Reggie Bush can't do Wheaties commercials.

It's also the reason anyone on a 2K5 of EA Sports college sporting game-over has either graduated or in the NBA from the next year. (I know NCAA 2K has rights with the Heisman winner. As EA once did. Last year's Naismith winner, Jamar Nelson of St. Joe's, is absent from either of this year's games that feature Okafor (EA) and Childress (2K5) on their respective covers).

However, if Emeka Okafor had stayed in school, it's very likely Ben Gordon (or another NBA-player, ala Tony Allen, would've been on the cover.

Imagine the same scenario with TJ Ford replacing Carmelo Anthony on 2004.

Most know this...but many others don't. So that is your answer. It's not to be lame or lazy, it's simply the fact that NCAA can only use player numbers and their likeness (within reason of course) during their games. I imagine any potential recruits are forgotten as well for same laws/reasons.

It seems dumb, but that's the NCAA for you.

Making billions for universities, networks, and themselves...and not letting the players have anything at all.

5-0 out of 5 stars great game
ncaa march madness was a great game, who cares if you dont know who the players are you can pull off upsets in the collage classics mode and win the tornament in the dynasty mode. It is a great basketball game to play with your friends and it is very entertaining by yourself

1-0 out of 5 stars Why EA, why!!!!!!!!!!!!!! (from A-Hay in Memphis)
I like EA Sports, I got this game NCAA March Madness 2005, it's fun but what really got me was when I "PAID" $49.99 and cant export your college players to NBA Live, that mess up. Why they go and put the player number, but not the name with it. They otta put the player piture on there too. If they can make over 1000 right fight songs and the real mascot, why not the player name and the piture, Lucky I didnt tear the plastic, now I can put it back in there, and get my money back and go get NBA 2K5 since I got NCAA 2K5.

2-0 out of 5 stars March Flawness
I was expecting a lot more out of this game. Even after writing to EA Sports, informing them what they needed to do to make this game better, the game still lacks what it could be, or should I say what their competitor does just right?

March Madness 2005 has somewhat improved from 2004, but it still has ways to go (time for a new game engine, don't you think?). First of all, I like the new play-calling screens, that can easily be opened and operated; and I like the new time out feature as well. The Pontiac classic game challenge is very fun, too! The front menu screens are much better and readable, and the Dynasty mode is better than last year's with a neat calendar and PDA system.

But overall, the game has got to be a major disappointment for die-hard basketball fans. One thing this year is that the game player cannot export their draft classes into NBA Live. The game play is comparable to NBA Live 2005, with has better spacing, rebounding, and tip-ins. The player models are better as well, but not a significant change from MM 2004. As far as comparing this to ESPN'S College sim, which sells for just $20, there is no comparison. ESPN has much better game play and a more intuitive player-editing system than EA's. But if there is one complaint I have this year for both NBA Live and March Madness, it is the awful camera views. When you are playing a game you are either too far away or too close. And for some reason, the game does not recognize your previous setting of camera views, so you have to go back and change it. If EA would stop trying to add so much as the kitchen sink to a game and instead try to really improve the basics, it would really shine.

Until then, ESPN'S game is the way to go this season!

3-0 out of 5 stars Good game, but major flaw
All in all this is a good game, except for the fact that the A.I has no defence skilz, every time u controll the ball u are able to drive, i scored 89 points, 80 of them were by driving. ... Read more

2-0 out of 5 stars VERY, VERY, VERY dissapointing
This game is the worst game I have ever played! ok, so not as bad as Syberia for xbox but bad enough that I would rate it 2 stars! even though the storyline is ok, the game ended to quickly. Also, the battle scenes (Harry practicing his magic on the washing machine) was very fake and very boring. The washing machine moved in a pattern all the time so there was no surprise to what it would do next.

If you ever want to play this game, I suggest that you should be able to withstand the annoying save games (you can't allways save the game whenever you want). So go ahead and give it a try if you aren't afraid of wasting your money.

4-0 out of 5 stars Extremely fun but too short
ok so basically when I bought this game I couldnt wait to play it. it was really addicting but then all of the sudden I was at the basilisk. all in all, its super fun but its too short. (the quidditch is my favorite part) I ended up beating it in 2 days. I was just disappointed. the voices in this game dont even resemble the real voices of the characters. ok so there's only 6 days and on each day you do 1 class except for like 1 day you do 2 classes. Iwould not recommend this game to people who like slightly challenging games. its cute for little kids but i give it one thumb up.

4-0 out of 5 stars Magic gone WILD!
This game is great. I would question the buttons and handling myself but the magic and action makes up the missiong star. This is a great game for anyone.

5-0 out of 5 stars Cute and fun game.
I loved playing Harry and the animation, music, and settings are beautiful. I only wish the teachers played a more important part and Gilderoy exposed like in the book and movie.

Also, Aragog was more tough to beat than the Basilisk, but still I enjoyed this game and have played it many times since.

3-0 out of 5 stars Much Too Short
In three words that really sums it up for me. The game itself is pretty fun, but I ended up beating it in a day because it was just too short. I was also disappointed with the ending being much too easy and hurried. Additionally, I second whoever wrote in their review that the camera angles are just not helpful and that the issue of losing your beans every time you're hit is such a pain. I suppose that was it really.. most of the levels are pretty fun, just not long enough. ... Read more

5-0 out of 5 stars BETTER THAN MADDEN....
This is and will go down as the best xbox sports game ever. I am disgusted that EA bought all NFL football game rights. MADDEN sucks, I hate the guy on TV and hate his lame football games. Boom, Boom, boom, tough actin tinactin.... I'll be happy when he's off the air and out of videogames. Has beens shouldnt be the focal point of new games. Maybe we should bring back Tony Eason to QB the Pats. Maybe he can stick his Turducken up his ---. I will never forget watching the The Pats vs Rams super bowl and him saying the Pats should take knees and play for overtime with some kind of green fungus stuck between his teeth. He was wrong then and isnt any better now, the only good news is he isnt getting any younger. maybe him and Dick Vitale can get together and ruin every sports game, YEAH BABY!!

5-0 out of 5 stars The Greatest Football Game... EVER
NFL2K5 is without a shadow of a doubt the greatest football game ever made as of the year it was released (2004).It's an absolute shame that the NFL decided to go with EA, for all purposes killing the NFL2K series.

The only downside that this game has is special teams returns are a little too hard, but aside from that I have no complaints about this game and for $20 I don't know if I have ever heard of a better deal in video game history. If you like football and the NFL it is IMPOSSIBLE to be disappointed with NFL2K5!!!

HIGHEST RECOMMENDATION

5-0 out of 5 stars Look Out Madden!
I think this is the best NFL video game there is.It is way better than Madden, and $30 less. You can watch SportsCenter, and play against celebraties. However, this will be the last ESPN NFL game, because Electronic Arts, (EA Sports) thought this game was too much better then their Madden, so they purchased the rights of all NFL video games. So don't wait for next year's version, because their won't be.

5-0 out of 5 stars Don't buy Madden!!! ESPN 2K5 is the best!!!
First of all this is the best football game that I have ever played before. The graphics are great, franchise mode is beautiful, the first person look is fun, and The Crib rocks.I highly recommend this game over Madden any day of the week.I can only vouch for the Xbox version since I haven't played the Playstation 2 version, which is fine because I don't think anyone buys the CHUMPstation 2 anymore.Buy ESPN 2K5, you'll be glad you did

4-0 out of 5 stars Madden Is A Bit Better...
I believe that Madden is a little better then this game. This game does have great feautures that Madden doesn't have but I'd rather have Madden.

I like The Crib feature but it seems to draw me away from trying to play my season but overall I like the features in The Crib.**** out of 5

Season Mode is incredible.I started a season with the Pittsburgh Steelers and I'm 10-0.This is the best feature of the whole game and I love to play the season mode in all football games.***** out of 5.

I'm not going to get into every little thing but overall you should pick this up but if you have Madden then don't bother. It's a good game don't get me wrong but my opinion Madden is better.

3-0 out of 5 stars Really dispointing!
Yu-gi-oh finally comes to the x-box and I was waiting a long time for it and it wasent that good! Frist of all the monsters don't do anything it shows the picture of them then they do nothing when they attack! Then it take a really really long time to get good cards. You wont get trape and magic cards unless you play for a really long time! Then the people you battle are not very smart. I thought this would be a graet game but it is not that good. If you are a person who will plsy this for a long time you will like this game. The good things about the game are that it has a lot of diffrent cards and it has good grafics.

5-0 out of 5 stars A definate for the fans.
This is the best yu-gi-oh game out there except for the tcg. This resembles the card game the most out of all the card games i have seen so far. Its quite fun and if you are a fan of the tcg it comes with 3 trading cards you will enjoy.

4-0 out of 5 stars Good game, good promos
I like this game a lot.The thing I don't like about it is that the monsters don't use their real attacks, just some stupid thing. The promos are really good, but mine are coming in half. This is a must have for any duelist, you can combine strategies and use cards you don't have, which is the best.

5-0 out of 5 stars The Best Yet
I've not been a huge fan of the "Yu-Gi-Oh!" video games - up till now. "Yu-Gi-Oh!: The Dawn of Destiny" is definetly a cut above "Forbidden Memories" and "The Duelists of the Roses" (I don't have a GameCube.) The biggest problem with this game is the fact that it has no real storyline other than this: You're a beginning Duelist challenging master Duelists such as Yugi, Kaiba, Joey, Marik, and Bakura to Duels. Your first opponents are three Duel Robots, as Seto Kaiba (jerk) periodically taunts you between Duels. After defeating his scrap metal, you go on to more powerful Duelists. The graphics were great, but there wasn't enough of them; Each battle between two monsters lasts two seconds or so. This game was great because we finally get to play on the console with the REAL rules instead the variations we've seen in previous "Yu-Gi-Oh!" console games. I mean, "The Falsebound Kingdom" didn't even involve cards! Anyway, I wish this game had a storyline, because with all of the interesting characters (such as Bakura, Shimon, Ishizu, and other lesser characters) I reckon Konami could have put together a good one. Hopefully, the next "Yu-Gi-Oh!" will have a rich and exciting storyline combined with the original gameplay.

3-0 out of 5 stars Good game, but not the best.
Okay, I'm a Yu-Gi-Oh fan & have the Power of Chaos Yugi & Kaiba. I've never played any of the Gameboy or Playstaion versions so I have no reference other than the cartoon, the P.C. games & the very few tournaments I've been to. In my opinion this game follows the tournament rules basically to a tee. That is a good thing for people looking to really learn the game. But there's no tutorial & you need to know what the cards are because, when your opponent plays a spell of trap card they show it to you but you have no idea what's happening. I'm no Yugi expert so I don't know all the cards & having an opponent play a card & wondering, okay what now, is not very fun. At least the Power of Chaos games has a card description on the side for every card played, so when I encountered a card I wasn't familiar with I could see what it did before having to make my next move. But putting that aside it's also very cool playing against all of the characters form the cartoon. But, you're going to lose A LOT. They start you off with a few good cards but it takes forever to get better ones. Overall it's a good game but not for beginners ... Read more
