4-0 out of 5 stars ...
Parents, if you are thinking about getting this for your son or daughter, don't. Why? because my friend got it, thinking it's a Tony Hawk clone, but this was actually a RACING game, so unless your kid likes racing against the clock, dont buy it. I would reccomend buying Advance Wars instead, because it's a turn-based strategy game, so they don't need hand-eye coordnation, but instead , think...

4-0 out of 5 stars Greatest game ever made!
This is the greatest game that has ever been made for the gbc system. Great features like trading, stats, standings, and more. I highly recomend this game to anyone. I have had it a year and a half and still can't put the dang thing down.

5-0 out of 5 stars Well Done
I think the game Ken Griffey Jr.'s Slugfest is great a game. Although some of the best batters aren't that great it still is fun. I like to play the season mode and trade all my guys for better dudes. So if you plan on buying this game, do it.

5-0 out of 5 stars SUPER
This game rocks!Try this game out.

4-0 out of 5 stars great
this game is the best i think for gb color. good graphics, nice gameplay, and trading is great. the only problem is that when you start trading, your players dont do as well, like in my season im 21-0 (cubs)but todd hundley has more home runs then sosa sosa has only 3 homeruns hundley has 17 so idont no whats wrong when i had the lineup the game gives you sosa started hittin homers so its wierd but fun to play i play every day (hint)trot nixon from boston plays better in the national leauge

5-0 out of 5 stars Griffey for GBC
This game is the best baseball game for gameboy yet, even though ASB2001 and Triple Play are newer. This has the best graphics, the most features (I especially love the trade player option), and best overall gameplay. Get this game or you are a fool. ... Read more

4-0 out of 5 stars Mixed Emotions
its grat at first then it gets really boring

i will trade for splinter cell or for tony 4 or underground

5-0 out of 5 stars Awesome but...
In this game it is very hard to get used to, but after u do this game is a mother of a game. The only thing that u can't do that dissapointed me was create ure own rider and park.Amazon says you can but u can't.After you get used to the controls and everything it is awesome.I would reccomend it to anyone who likes challenging games.

4-0 out of 5 stars Okay
This game has good and bad points, somethings are hard to understand and many tricks are hard to land. Which is okay but this game is for people who absolutley love BMXing.

3-0 out of 5 stars Not bad, but....
This game is okay, but it doesn't quite have the same spark as Tony Hawk 2. The movement is hard to get used to, and it is a bit difficult to perform some of the tricks without crashing a lot. For die-hard BMX-ers that own a Gameboy Advance, I would recommend getting this game...but for others, I suggest trying before buying.

4-0 out of 5 stars Good, but soooooo unrealistic
Ok, its fun, and like the only gameboy game i play. But its not like real snowboarding at all.You can't ride switch for more than one second on the courses, and in the pipe, you cant land switch. When u land, u just suddenly are riding regular again. And the music is awful, and theres no rails. I know i make it sound awful, but if u want some fun, go 4 it.

3-0 out of 5 stars Just Ok, but not bad.
This game is better than SHAUN PALMER'S PRO SNOWBOARDER. The graphics pack more detail, and the courses have a better design. However, for an MTV game, there is very little music that is actually audible. The game is ok, but is not all that it could be. ... Read more

3-0 out of 5 stars Pretty good game
The first game I played of NBA Jam 2001 I was bored to death. Then I got a novel idea and opened the manuel to see if I could make the game more exciting. There I discovered some extra options and once I started adding some of the extras it became a good way to pass the time. The power up items that you can pick up off the court are the best part of the game- going for a shot that is worth 9 points is a lot more exciting than a two pointer.I did find the controls a little difficult to get used to, however after a couple of games I was destroying the computer. The most frustrating feature of the game is that you have to keep track of passwords to continue your season (I haven't had to do that since I bought my original Nintendo back in 1987).If you are looking for a realistic NBA game that simulates real life play this is not the game you want- but if you want an arcade version of wild hoop then it's a good start.

4-0 out of 5 stars Wonderful Game

1-0 out of 5 stars Hi
Hi again

1-0 out of 5 stars What kind of game is this?
konami has accomplished nothing by making this game. what a waste of plastic and microchips. in hopes that this hockey game would be good, it isn't! you might as well forget taking the puck to the opposing goal because chances are you won't even make it that far. konami should stop making hockey games and stick to games that don't involve much thought in producing. all this game is good for is wedging it under the leg of an unbalanced table or chair. if you are a loser, then this game is for you.

1-0 out of 5 stars Worst ever!
This is a shockingly bad game, especially since Konami is known for previous games that were good. The play is too fast, players and puck are just blurs. You can't see a thing, let alone play the game. There'sprobably a much better hockey game out there for regular old fashoned, black and white Gameboy. ... Read more

3-0 out of 5 stars Too easy
I thought that this would be somewhat of a hard game, but I was wrong. This is one of the easiest games I've ever played. Almost everytime a ball was pitched at me I hit a homerun. One thing that really annoyed me was how slow the game was. Other than that it was an okay game, but I don't recommend it to anyone looking for a baseball video game.

1-0 out of 5 stars The worst game ever!
If you want baseball, buy All Star Baseball 2001! This game stinks! The game play is extremely slow, the graphics stink, and I guarantee that it is nearly IMPOSSIBLE to hit a ball. I do not have one positive comment about this game. EA Sports should be ashamed of themselves for making such a horrible game. I mean, no season, no playoffs, and they call this baseball! ABSOLUTELY DO NOT BUY THIS GAME!

1-0 out of 5 stars Still looking for a good baseball game.....
I have almost always enjoyed games made by EA Sports, however Triple Play 2001 has taught me not to trust the game producer just because they have made a good game before. The game play is slow, the computer has zero intelligence and the control of the players is horrible.EA Sports must have know it was a terrible game because they didn't even bother to make a season or playoffs available.I guess they knew that no one would have the patience to play this game through an entire playoff much less a 162 game season.

1-0 out of 5 stars This game stinks
Unbelievably bad game. No season, no roster management, the homerun derby is boring...I have a 6 year old baseball game for original gameboy that beats this garbage hands down. Don't waste your money.

1-0 out of 5 stars Buy All-Star Baseball 2000 instead
Oh please.

This game has so many flaws it is incredible.

In fact the only positive point is that you can select the number of innings(1/3/5/7/9) in the exhibition game, which is the only game you'll ever playas there is no season or playoff.

And as for the Home Run Derby(TM),you might as well not bother as consists of two batters, incuding thefellar you choose! And since when (bar Mark McGwire) has any batterconsistantly hit 13 HR's in a Round, as keeps occuring when I play andre-play the HR Derby.

All-Star Baseball however, has a season, and a goodHome Run Derby game, and it is smoother and better!

And speed...If youhit a HR in an game in Triple Play, don't expect the ball to go into thestand this side of the Millenium! And the same applies for throwing, ifyou ever feel the need to throw the ball to one of the bases. It'sslow!

Buy All-Star Baseball 2000! ... Read more

1-0 out of 5 stars Very Bad Game
This game stinks it really bad graphics and its pretty choppy animation DONT WASTE YOR MONEY!!!! Luckily when i bought this game i could take it back the next with getting the rest of the credit back exept for 1$. I'd recomend buying Mario Kart Super Circuit for the gba it's only 50 times better

4-0 out of 5 stars Please don't spend your money
I was lucky to buy this game [at another store]. However when i played it, I was very unhappy. The graphics are one of the worst i have ever seen. It looks like they could have made this game better for the GBC. I am not kidding around. As an honest player, if you really want this game, PLEASE rent it first, don't waste your money. The only thing that makes it sort of worth it is that it has many features like mini games. Just remember that i warned you!

1-0 out of 5 stars this game is worthless
This game is is the worst game I own. It has horrible graphics. The player look like little blobs. There is no music, and no running plays. There is also no multiplayer mode. I was very unhappy with this game. Anyone who goea out and buys this game is just throwing their money away.

1-0 out of 5 stars SAVE YOUR MONEY (BUT NOT FOR THIS GAME!)
This is actually worth zero stars, because this game from Nintendo is just UNACCEPTABLE!

I was extremely disappointed with the limited graphics for NFL Blitz 2002 for Game Boy Advanced, and surprised as well.I wish I had bought something else.First of all, there is no cool graphics, unlike the arcade version. The sound is more like 8-bit graphics, rather than 32-bit graphics.(See the game pack yourself before buying it, to see how cheap this game really is!)
Where's the superstars?I see names, BUT NO PROFILES OR PICTURES OF THE NFL SUPERSTARS?The animation and the players are just plain awful; they are more like one-dimensional (like the old NES).There is no real live action that gets you into the game, that gets you into the feeling of being that coach or player on the field.

What is this, the 1970s?I found myself trying to have fun with this game, but it's never going to happen.Don't make the same mistake I did.Spend your [money] on Sonic Adventure or Super Mario Advance, or something descent for Game Boy Advance. If you want REAL animation and fascinating graphics and cool sound that will grab you into the game, NFL Blitz 2002 for Game Boy Advance is not the game for you.

2-0 out of 5 stars This is not football
No sound, no running plays and a lot of rush!!!I used to play Blitz 2000 on PS1 and was fun, but this GBA version it's almost out of it.The display is hard to read and the dirty moves happends too fast you can not enjoy them.Go for Madeen you Football lovers, That's football! ... Read more

In Jonny Moseley: Mad Trix, up-and-coming free skiers compete for medals in events similar to the X Games or Gravity Games. As they gain more recognition, opportunities open up for sponsors, magazine covers, and even movies. Medals are cool, but covers and movies are the ultimate score. Kick enough butt in the slope-style competitions and you'll be invited to star in the next ski movie, unlocking Big Mountain mode. Next thing you know, you'll be hucking yourself out of a helicopter to do your stuff on camera.

Jonny Moseley: Mad Trix mixes in a heavy dose of realism with a serious dose of fiction. While Big Mountain mode sends you to places like Alaska and Everest, the slope-style courses are built into outrageous city environments such as snowed-in San Francisco, Las Vegas, and Machu Picchu. Choose between pro free skiers like Jonny Moseley and Tanner Hall, or a handful of outrageous fictional characters. ... Read more

1-0 out of 5 stars Not Good
This a very bland game with little variation in the jumps and courses. level goals are are nothing more than tricks and the game is nothing like skiing. for wintersports fun on the gba look elsewhere. not good.

2-0 out of 5 stars this game has much room for improvement.
If you are thinking about getting this game for game boy advanced i strongly suggest that you don't. (I don't know if it's good for playstation 2 or not.) First off, graphics aren't amazing and the angle of the view is very awkward. Steering your player is also very hard because the controls odd. Another thing is it seems as though every level is the same and there isn't much variety in jumps. 3D0 could have done a lot better on this game!

1-0 out of 5 stars Darts are cool but.........
I think darts are one of the coolest things. But putting them on a video game, now you just went toooooooo far. This was cool for me and my friends for an hour.We then fought over who was gonna pay the price for it.

5-0 out of 5 stars I love this game!
Being addicted to darts in real life I thought this game would be cool to have.Wow, was I surprised...this game is highly addictive and I love it!There are many options for play, including practice rounds and choosing your own player.Choosingyour player is made even better because you can see where their strengths are to determine how difficult a round you would like to play. There are six games to choose from including cricket(of course), and three levels to choose from, easy, medium, and hard.Enjoy, I strongly suggest adding this game to your collection.

4-0 out of 5 stars Cool Game!
This is a really cool game. It's challenging without being impossible. The only things I don't like about it is that there are no cool dartboardsound effects and the only way to turn the music off is by turning thevolume down.Otherwise, I wouldn't change a thing.

5-0 out of 5 stars Fun for fans of Darts!
If you love dartboard games, this is for you! It has wonderful music and the graphics are great. I first thought the "Practice" mode would only let you throw a few darts, but it lets you play a full game to mydelight, since I don't get to compete with others often. The cartridge iseven cool because it is a smoky transparent cartridge allowing you to seethe electronics inside. The game even has a voice that speaks at the introand during the game. If you don't like darts, you most likely will afterplaying this. My only complaint is that some of the characters you play aretoo fast or too nervous.Very highly recommended! ... Read more

5-0 out of 5 stars Better then Mia
This game is a winner better tyhen Mia hamm soccer shoot out. The ball goes in the air

4-0 out of 5 stars It's ok
I bought this game and it was a lot different to Fifa 99.More teams and leagues have been added including classics. The players faces look a bit like cartoon figures. But the action replays will rock your world.Theseasons are good too. Each time you finish one you can choose to carry on.Ifyou say yes then teams get relegated and promoted and other teams qualifyfor European Cups.In a season they include the FA Cup aswell. You can alsoedit the tactics. You also have real injuries to cope with too andsuspencions.

4-0 out of 5 stars Fifa 2000
I thought Fifa 2000's gameplay is only slightlybetter than fifa 99.Though I also think theyoverdid did the slide tackle a bit the referee nearly always gives a free kick.I was very impressed with the season modebecause in itteams can get promoted and relagated and you can play in allthe cups some of which you couldnt participate in in the past fifa's.I alsoreally liked the music to it.In Fifa 99 I was slightly dissapointed thatyou couldnt play in the indoor mode and I was expecting you to be able todo so in Fifa 2000.And I think that it's a shame that you can't pick whatstadium your playing in and you have to go into options to select the matchlength.Overall the gameplay just improved but some of the other featuressuch as season mode and the classic teams which you can play with aresuperb and apart from a few features that featured in fifa 99 and not infifa 2000 .It is an improvement

3-0 out of 5 stars It's okay - a little disappointing.
FIFA 2000 is a good game.I am disappointed about several things:

1.The graphics are not much of an improvement over FIFA 99, and the players' faces and hair are actually kind of goofy.

2.The refereeing is terrible!I got 4 red cards the first time I played.I mean, refs are badin real life, but this is horrid.

3.The MLS license is almostmeaningless since a) the rosters are wrong and b) you can't play an MLSseason with playoffs, you have custom make your own.Plus, they didn't getthe uniforms right.

I am awaiting Konami's Major League Soccer.Konami'sInternational Superstar Soccer has always had the better gameplay, in myopinion, but has suffered because they didn't have the FIFA license.Maybenow with the MLS license, they can have a more successful game.

The gameis still fun, even though it's very difficult to play good defense and yourplayers don't mark their men for anything. The most dangerous situation inthe game is a free kick from around midfield, because they are going to lobit into the box where a (completely unmarked) striker will make a perfectglancing header to beat your out of position goalkeeping.

THAT'Sirritating.

FIFA 2000 - Not bad.Could be better. Can't wait to see aFIFA game on PS2 or Dreamcast.

3-0 out of 5 stars What's wrong with EA!
The much anticipated FIFA 2000 has been a big disappointment. I think FIFA 99 is better. Even the opening video is senseless. The graphics are good but the player faces look so cartoony! And their arms look like sticks attached to their body. One good aspect of the game is the crowd animation. The stadiums really do look good but before a playing a match, one can'tchoose the stadium he wants to play in. This is a major disappointment whencompared to their previous releases. ... Read more

Amazon.com Review

Connors, McEnroe, Sampras--all are OK players, but none can hold aracket to the world's greatest plumber-tennis champ, Mario. But, with enoughpractice, and a devastating overhead smash, you can work your way up to thechampionship cup.

Mario Tennis's exhibition mode puts you in the Tennis Academy, where youslowly build up your character's skills (doubles or singles). As you rise in theranks by challenging other characters and upgrading your equipment, you'll playeventually against Mario himself. You can play as one of many Nintendo mascots, including Donkey Kong, Luigi, and Princess Peach. There also are a few minigamesthat will sharpen your skills and can unlock other levels. If you find a humanpartner, you can play against his or her copy of the game easily by way of alink cable.

The fast and furious on-court action is easy to follow, despite the tinycharacters. The ball flies smoothly, and each opponent plays differently enoughto be a challenge every time. However, your Game Boy might suffer a tremendousbeating from the furious button-mashing that's needed to win the match.

One fault with Mario Tennis is its horrid sound effects, which will havemost folks quickly reaching for the volume controls. Still, if you have patienceand strong thumbs, Mario Tennis serves up a mean game that's easily oneof the better sports tiles to grace the Game Boy. --Mark Brooks

Pros:

  • Fast-paced action
  • Smooth, well-animated graphics
  • Singles and doubles matches, plus head-to-head link-cable play
  • Transfer Pak compatible with Nintendo 64 version
Cons:
  • Awful sound effects

5-0 out of 5 stars Mario Tennis: Best Game for the Game Boy EVER!!
I first played Mario Tennis at my friends house, on his N64. It was pretty fun, difficult at first, but I got the hang of it. Aiming the ball is very tricky at first (I can't get my dad to figure it out), but after a few hours you'll be aiming as if it were natural. I didn't have an N64 at the time, so I bought the Game Boy version. At first I was disappointed by the small selection of characters, but when I started playing the Mario Tour (the actual game, not the practice or Mini game) I really enjoyed it. Now I've beaten the game and am half-way through playing as a girl. If you have an N64, I highly recommend getting the N64 version and a transfer pak too. The transfer pak doesn't cost much (about $15 if you buy it new) and it lets you transfer the character you created on the Game Boy game to the N64 game. The graphics are much better on the N64, but there is no "Mario Tour" (the best part of the Game Boy version). If you transfer your charcter to the N64, you can win tons of trophies in the N64 version and from all the games you play to get the tropies, you'll gain tons of experience, making you even better. I've gotten my character so good, my friends call it a "cheat character", even though it's perfectly normal. I recommend this game over the N64 game even though it's graphics aren't as good, because the game is so much more fun and has so much more to do. This is definately the best game for the Game Boy ever and I'm suprised it hasn't done better in sales.

5-0 out of 5 stars best out there!
This game is great. There are practically no flaws. You desine a character (male or female) and play to reach the top. you work your way to the senior level of the school (classes are based on skill not age). Then play doubles with your partner to get to the senior class.then just kick but at the tournaments. What's also cool is if you still have an N64 you can load your character and play.Or find and friend link up and paly doubles or against each other.you can also hit ever way, slice, top spin, smash, drop, lob.Oh and when u get expirence give evenly to each person it may seem weird but in doubles if your partner stinks your doomed!oh and try to use drop shots to bring them to the net the lob over thier head (doesn't work on harder opponents).

4-0 out of 5 stars Mario Tennis: Gamedoy coler
This is one of the best games made for the gameboy coler. The gameplay is great and it's pretty tough.I love the level up feature and the free roaming feature. But I found that the only way to beat it is to train your charecter on the N64 using the N64 transfer pack.

4-0 out of 5 stars Fun game, hard to master
In this GBC version of Mario Tennis,You can do an exibition, mario tour,or play mini games wich you uncover when you do the make your own character. If you don't understand a word they use in tennis like "volly" for example, you can look it up in a dictionary they put in there. In mario tour you pick if you want to be a boy or a girl and then you name it and you also name your doubles partner. You live in a dorm and you go to a tennis academy. You start off is juniors, then seniors, and then your on the traveling team.In the exibition you can play singles or doubles, you pick what character you want and who you want to play against and their skill level. In the mini game mode, you get to play mini games that you've unlocked in mario tour. This is a fun game and I recomend it if you have a GBC.

2-0 out of 5 stars Hardly any Characters
I have played the N64 mario tennis and it is awesome! But this game is nothing like the N64 version. This game is boring and only has a few characters from the Mario series. The graphics are okay.I really hope they come out with a Mario Tennis For the GameBoy Advance that is more realistic.I am also very Happy they are coming out with mario Golf Advance Tour. ...
