The best part about this game is that you cannot see the fish in the water. When you are fishing you must look for locations that would produce fish, also you must use your fish findertoo. It's very real, seasons change in real life and they do in the game as well. In real life you must change locations when seasons change so in the game much is the same. The level of game play can also change. You can fish in free fish mode. This mode lets you enjoy fishing at your own pace, so you can bulid your skills for the Tournament mode. This mode lets you compete with other anglers for the 1st place spot in the championship. You must learn how to fish under all differnt conditions rain, cold weather, windy, and warm. This game was made for the fisherman by fisherman. Something you do not see when it comes to outdoor games. Usually games are very unreal, leading to disapointing purchase. Not with this game you will begin happy and end happy!!!! The game also has many kinds of fish not just bass. There is Trout,Blue Gill,Carp,Snakehead,Largemouth Bass,Smallmouth Bass,Spotted Bass,Florida Bass, and others. pick up a copy you will be impressed. But I'm not liable for sore fingers due to extended game play because it will be hard to put down!!!!!! Enjoy, and good fishing!
The fishing controller is what makes this a sweet deal. It's compatible with almost every fishing game out there, and adds to the realism of the game. Sometimes with some games the casting is a little sketchy (I thought I put more oomph in it than that???), but all in all it's a nice piece of hardware that makes a good game better.

The good. It's hockey. The gameplay is done very well.Control is excellent, goalies are very realistic, line changes are unique (there's a button to change your forwards, and a different button to change your defensemen).Scoring goals is realistic where if you have a defensive breakdown, you're going to give up goals (you let someone wind a slapshot in the slot and your goalie will most likely get beat). However, great goalies do cover their own with some amazing saves after they give up bad rebounds--whereas lesser goalies will most likely give up a rebound goal with no defensive help. The play-by-play is done well with one of the best in Mike Emerik. There's even Zambonies bewteen periods and the three-stars-of-the-game and introduced when the game ends. The bad.Well, this game looks terrible. With the exception of the "C" and "A's" on certain jerseys, the players and goalies look underdone and blocky.Player animation is beyond chopy, and the sounds are the worst I've ever heard in a hockey game ("Go Baby, Go"??? And hitting the post sounds pathetic--sounds similiar to a coffee mug being tapped with a spoon).Line changes are unique, but they are done poorly and slow--Every player exiting the ice during play uses the trap door? Not to mention the puck usually goes out of play along with the players going to the bench via the trap door. One of the biggest problems is the sim mode when in season play. You had better turn off injuries or you'll eventually be in trouble. How?You are only allowed 17 players on your roster! There's no "dressing" and "scratching" players for games like in EA's NHL series, you need to sub injured players with players already on other lines. How stupid is that?!?There are so many player missing in this game, it's upsetting. Also, color commentary is poorly done.Darren Pang is one of the best at doing this, but it's just not done well in this game.As for the voice acting?Just try to ignore the public address announcer--the worst I've ever heard next to Faceoff '97.The fighting is terrible in this game (guys who NEVER fight are dropping the gloves on a regular basis.I've gotten in fights against Paul Kariya--what's that all about?).Winning face-offs is a breeze (this game needs EA's NHL '99 feature of kicking out centers from the faceoff spot when a player cheats by tapping the faceoff button too much before the puck is dropped). This game even has those annoying "hot spots".Winning offensive an offensive face-off to your winger in front of the net for a one-timer is almost a sure goal.Too many weak penalties, and that ref needs to be either more detailed or removed (I've tried to hit him with a breakaway pass more than once--DOH). This game may be the best to play because it's the least annoying. This years PS1 hockey titles are weak.I hope to get my hands on a PS2 soon to try it's hockey titles in hope for a near perfect hockey game.I've tried nearly every hockey game on the market for the PS1.Here's what I've found out so far: Best Gameplay:Faceoff 2001 Best Graphics:NHL 2000 Best Sound:NHL '98-2001 Best PA Announcer:Powerplay '98 Best play-by-play:Faceoff 2001 Best Color Commentary:NHL '98-2000 Best Options:NHL '99 (see above about the faceoffs), NHL 2001 I feel that all hockey games this year were not done too well mainly because the attention went to the PS2.So, with that said, NHL Faceoff 2001 is this years best PS1 hockey game, but that is NOT saying much at all.I still say that the best hockey games are on the Sega Genesis (EA's NHL '97, '98).
Otherwise, this game is just really fun.You can create some really neat plays.Slapshots, dekes, tip-ins, one-timers, it's all there. I hope that this version for the PlayStation2 has more effort added to it.Because quite frankly, it isn't really fair to leave out the PSX like that... ... Read more

Editorial Review As you might expect from any licensed Barbie game, this title isdesigned to appeal to young girls. While there isplenty of pleasant eye candy for beginning gamers, this game clearlyencourages players to engage in low-stress fun that requires littlehand-eye coordination. Instead, Barbie Race & Ride is more aboutexploration and, in some cases, adventure. The game does rewardpersistent players with access to a much-fabled "secret ranch." Forgamers that want to take a break from the saddle, there is anopportunity to wash and groom your horse in the barn. Barbie Race & Ride succeeds in offering a friendly, nonviolentexploration environment for beginning gamers. Older brothers, beware! --Brett Atwood Pros: Cons: Features Reviews (10)
Mattel obviously has no idea what girls who have the ability of playing video games want in them. We are forced to ride chunky, ugly horses with unrealistic animations (horses stretch their necks outwards when jumping rather than flinging them upwards. This makes the obstacle course very hard) in environments that look painted-on and thrown together. Barbie is constantly stopping your ride to make you watch squirrels hop across branches, and there are only two gates to choose from (canter and gallop) I wouldn't have such a problem with this if canter wasn't so slow; it slows down the surrounding area so it's just like riding in slow-mo. The firefly game was very difficult for me when I was young and it took me near forever to figure out that you just open the lid near the firefly and it flies in. All in all, this game is one of the dusty ones in my collection. I would suggest Mary-Kate and Ashley's Winner's Circle for older girls, and Barbie Horse Adventures: Wild Horse Rescue for younger ones.

Amazon.com Review Gamers familiar with the controls of the Smackdown series will feel right athome. The game plays largely the same, with some additional moves and finishers. While having familiar and responsive controls is definitely a good thing, thegraphics should not be too familiar on a next-generation system.Unfortunately, the game's character models haven't progressed much from thePlayStation version. However, the improvements in animations and ring entrancesare fantastic. The biggest flaw in the game is the commentary by Tazz and Michael Cole. Thereare several instances in which the commentary is disjointed and unnatural, andit often fluctuates severely in volume. This is a shame, as the announcers are abig part of pro wrestling's storytelling. Despite this problem, WWFSmackdown! Just Bring It packs more than enough quality gameplay and varietyto thrill any WWF fan. --Raymond M. Padilla Pros: Features Reviews (249)
This is good nowadays and it beats the other wrestling games on the Gamecube and Xbox.
Again, the graphics are better then SmackDown! 2, but worse then SmackDown! 4. There are more then 40 superstars to choose from, less then both of the previously mentioned. Exhibition mode still has alot of matches to choose from. There's still single, tag team, six man tag, handicap, Royal Rumble, King of the Ring, hardcore, falls count anywhere, survival, and special. Special matches include Cage, I Quit, Table, Ladder, TLC, Special Referee, Hell in a Cell, Ironman, 3 Stages of Hell, and Slobber Knocker. The controls aren't very different from SmackDown! 2, so you won't have to much trouble figuring it all out if you've played the second one. Story mode isn't much better then SmackDown! 2, and is REALLY short. The only good thing is the unlockables, and there's ALOT of those, so it's something to look forward to. Other then that, Story mode is pretty boring. Create mode is pretty much the same, except for Create a Pay-Per-View not being in. Create a Superstar is quite a big improvement from SmackDown! 2, where you have even more control. There are more types of moves to be assigned this time, and you also have the power to change the default superstars move set. Create a Taunt is still very pointless, and Create a Stable is the same as SmackDown! 2, except you can't assign as many people to one stable. Theatre mode is actually quite a bit better then SmackDown! 4. You get to watch a behind the scences of how the commercials for SmackDown! 1 and 2 were made. They're pretty funny to. All in all, SmackDown! 3 is one of the worst of the series. If you have a PS2, I'd recommend buying SmackDown! 4 instead. But if you want to own all of them, this is still a good game. ... HOWEVER...The game play can be very dull and routine at times. Certain hotspots on the screen always generate a nibble, taking some of the challenge/fun out of it. The hardest part of the game is hooking the fish before it steals your bait. Certain fish will have you smashing the controller in frustration. Each aquarium can only hold 5 fish at a time, which then have to be TEDIOUSLY fed and looked after (I've come back to find all fish dead because I forgot to feed them before going on a fishing trip). One nagging question, you are able to knock on the aquarium tanks, yet the instructions advise against it. Why bother to add this feature at all then? All in all a good game if you want to fish for more than bass or bluegill, but not a MUST HAVE (like EA Sports Championship Bass). ... Read more

Amazon.com Review Players will react strongly to Scott Farrell's commentary. Some willlove his frequent one-liners and comedic timing, while others will hateit. There will be no argument over the game's shoddy graphics, however. The players are extremely blocky and lack detail. The game's controlsare a mixed bag. While running, passing, and checking are fairlysmooth, controlling a player's shot can be challenging. Technically and aesthetically Blast Lacrosse is an average gameat best. However, it offers the unique experience of a novel sport.Gamers looking for something different will want to consider thistitle. No other game will let you play out your dream of becoming aRochester Knighthawk. --Raymond M. Padilla Pros: Reviews (78)

Most of the basics are pretty good in "The Flintstones Bedrock Bowling."It has some good backgrounds and graphics, the music and sounds are good enough, and it can be a lot of fun.The control is also good, but it's a little touchy at first, but once you play a few levels you'll be used to it.The only downfall to this game is that it's way too easy. This might make it best for young kids who like bowling or The Flintstones. There are obstacles on each level such as dinosaurs running around, but you can't fall off the edge of the level and even when you fall in a lava pit which would seem deadly, it just takes you back a little bit and you have to do that part over. However, "The Flintstones Bedrock Bowling" is a lot of fun and I recommend it to anybody that likes bowling games. It's a lot better than just about anybody would first expect it to be.

I am so glad he proved me wrong.I have had this game for 5 years now, and I still enjoy playing it as much now as I ever have. You can play by yourself or with another player or against the computer itself.Even more fun is the ability to unlock other characters in the game after you defeat them.It also forces you to learn how to play with characters that play with left or right hands and whether they have a better long or short game. The characters are humorous at times. When they mess up, they are hilarious.Their expressions say it all.The makers of this game put a lot of effort into making this game interesting.Great buy.

Highs: 1. One of the most entertaining sports games.2. Great gameplay3. you got a lot of options to choose from. Like practice mode, three-point contest, etc. Lows:1. Same EXACT gameplay as the one in 20002. Same graphics ( the crowd looks better, though)3. Same lame old boring commentary like its older brother4. the faces look really messed up ( some players have teeth sticking out of their faces on close-ups) Final verdict: If you don't mind the almost same game as last years then buy it. If you want changes, please don't buy it!!!!!!
