5-0 out of 5 stars PS2 DVD Remote by Sony
This is an exceptional value. Plug in the reciever and wa la! Use the remote. Personal experience says it can be used to play some games even.

4-0 out of 5 stars It is not a false advertisement....
It is not a false advertisement, it is just meant for the newer models of the Playstation 2 that have a built in IR receiver, which is why it doesn't include it!

1-0 out of 5 stars False Advertisement
This is a perfect example of false advertisement. If you're like the many that i've heard of trying to order a remote for the Playstation 2, Don't order this one unless you have a newer model. The picture shows an IR unit but it doesn't come with one. So save yourself the hassle and don't order this.

3-0 out of 5 stars incorrect product description - note!!!
This remote is NOT as described; this is an identical remote to the $10 one available from Amazon directly and does NOT include the IR kit as pictured and described. I want my money back!

4-0 out of 5 stars A great dvd remote for starters
If you are getting tired of using the controller for dvds, this remote is a great idea.It has many features and it always responds so you don't have to get up 2 feet in front of the sensor and push buttons a hundred times to pause or somthing. The only reason I didn't give it 5 stars was that the buttons are a little smaller than i wanted but neverless it is a great remote.I highly recomend it. ... 5-0 out of 5 stars war is not black and white.it is green and tan!!
game is fun, just buy it.can not complain about the flamethrower(none of the tans have).cool death screams.

all weapons-square,o,r1,l1
all levels-sq+l1+r1,up,down,left,right
run while using weapon then switch to minesweeper to run with minesweeper.

5-0 out of 5 stars This is one great game!It has it all!
I got this as a Christmas gift the year it came out and I couldn't put down the controller! It was so much fun!The best part about the whole game (if I had to choose just one thing) would be the different environments at each level you have to fight in.You go through ice boxes & refrigerators (complete with ice cube trays and coke cans), across the dinner table with a ful course meal on it, and through a bedroom filled with a lot of cool things! The story line is great and the movies between each level are worth watching each time! The game is not extremely hard...much easier to maneuver then Army Men 3-D.I solved it pretty quick, but I have played it since to do it all over again and it still is a great game....THE BEST ARMY MEN GAME MADE!

5-0 out of 5 stars Definately A "Must Buy" Kind of Game!!
Hello again, fellow gamers!! For my second review I chose to write about Army Men:Sarges Heroes. Of course, you take on the role of SARGE. The hero of the green army, trying to thwart the efforts of General Plastro, The leader of the tan army and nation. Let's start with the game's features. Not only are they aplenty, but far different from the other army men games. In SH(sarge's heroes) you get the ability to strafe, or move sideways to attack, which was very welcome from the other games in which you did not have it. Not only does strafing allow you to pick off enemies easier, but helps you to take less damage. You also get more weapons to help you in your campaign. The all new SNIPER RIFLE, allows you to pick off enemies at long range and takes them out with one shot. The only drawback is its really slow rate of fire, but its immense power makes up for this. You also add LAND MINES to your weapons arsenal. Just drop a few of these puppies on the ground and you can stop any enemy in the game!! In acception to helicopters of course. While we're on the subject of weapons, I should tell you about the cons of your arsenal. First of all, the FLAMETHROWER is the worst weapon of the game. Unlike the flamethrower in the previous games, this one stinks!! When you fire it non stop it only last about ten seconds, just barely enough to torch one tan soldier!! Talk About pathetic!!There are also really cool movies at the beginning of each level, progresssing you through the game alot easier. Also, six multiplayer arenas let you and a friend go head-to-head. Green VS. Tan. The only drawback is that if you get killed, you lose all of your weapons but an M-16 and 25 rounds of ammo!! Also, the occcasional polygon dropout may occur, so don't get frustrated the fist time it happens!! In this game, you still get to drive a tank, but you can destroy the tank while you are in it. This is caused by fireing a shell to close in front to you, so be careful. Finally I want to say that, despite some minor flaws, its still a GREAT game. I also highly recommend ALL of the other Army Men games. Also check out my other review on Army Men World War: Land, Sea, Air. And keep checking Amazon.com for future ones. The Biomes Boy HAVE FUN!!

5-0 out of 5 stars Sarge the coolest green army soldier ever!!
The reason I like this game so much is that you can have real life war weapons and items and because Sarge is a cool buff and brave green plastic man the squad is cool but they dont beat Sarge! If you want cool weapons and items get Army Men Sarge's Heros!!

5-0 out of 5 stars This is such a fun game
Sarges Heroes is a really fun game.I'm sick of all of the extreme gamers complaining about the controls. They aren't hard to get used to, and in spite of what they say, the game isn't too short. If u think that this game is too much comedy and not enough war, than you are one odd person. This game is really fun and if you like fighting games that aren't soley fighting, then I suggest u get this game. ... 4-0 out of 5 stars Great controller, nice color
The PS1 controller by sony, in my opinion, is the best quality compared to other brands. The only thing I don't like is the L1 L2 R1 R2 buttons, it is confusing and difficult for me to quickly press one or the other during gameplay. Otherwise this controller is great.
Pros:
1) Small, lightweight, portable
2) Good quality
Cons:
1) L1 L2 R1 R2 buttons are confusing
2) Joysticks (in my opinion) are too close together
3) Start and Select buttons are too little ... Read more

Editorial Review

Rugrats: Search for Reptar is a challenging 3-D adventure game basedon the familiar Nickelodeon cartoon series. Fans of the show will encounter the entireRugrats gang, including Tommy, Angelica, Phil and Lil, Chuckie, Stu, Spike, andGrandpa. Your goal is to seek and find pieces of Tommy's lost Reptar puzzle, which arescattered across 10 basic and 6 bonus levels. As you look for the pieces, you'll travelthrough several strange scenarios, including a trip to the grocery store with Tommy andGrandpa (where you must dodge spinning sodas and mean lobsters). You'll also helpGrandpa find his lost teeth while dodging evil geese in a maze of bushes. Other cooladventure areas include an egg hunt, a circus, and a game of miniature golf withwindmills and uneven greens.

As in the cartoon, the game's graphics are relatively simplistic. However, the cameraangles do get a bit dicey at times, since the kids' big heads can often block your view ofthe action. In addition, the frequently shifting perspectives sometimes result in a suddenreversal of your control response, which can be frustrating during time-sensitivemoments. Nonetheless, this 1999 winner of the Parents Choice Award for the 4- to10-year-old category is a great way for parents and their young children to play together.--Kasty Thomas

Pros:

  • Kid-friendly gameplay
  • Based on the animated hit TV series
Cons:
  • Camera angle problems can hinder gameplay

5-0 out of 5 stars Ah,memories
this game's gameplay is crappy and everything in it is awful. But the reason i gave it 5 stars is because it holds alot of memories for my cousin and i.we used to play it when we were very young.we never beat it but we did get pretty far one time.like i said, most people wouldn't like it,but it holds alot of memories for me.

3-0 out of 5 stars Roaring Reptar
This game is not the best game but it is still fun. It can get boring if you play it alot. I find it different beacuse you hunt areound Tommy's house for "reptar bars" and puzzle pieces. of course there are about two game in every room. The games are rated Easy, Medium or Hard. At first you van only do easy and medium but when you get about 3 puzzle pieces you can start doing "hard" The medium games usually has a set of challenges for you to do. Such as in Grampa's Teeth a goose has stolen Granpa's Dentures. You (Tommy and Chuckie) ride Spike through a hedge maze to find the goose. When you find the goose the goose takes Chuckie and then you must once again chase the goose. Most of the games are timed. I would say this game is good for 7 and up.

4-0 out of 5 stars My daughter likes it
As a lot of the others say, it is a real easy game. But for kids, they need it to be a bit easy because they can get very discouraged if they can't do it. My 9 year old was playing it for hours! I recommend it to the young set.

1-0 out of 5 stars This game [stinks]!!!
This game is a waste of your money! This game is dumb and it shouldn't of been sold! This game is way easy and is a waste of your time. I wouldn't buy this for $[money]. You are better off buying a better CD for the same price!

2-0 out of 5 stars Much too easy
I saw this game, rented it from the store, and brought it home. It took me an hour to beat the game 100%, and the graphics were awful. They were pointed all over, and looked worse than Lara Croft from Tomb Raider I. I would not reccomend buying this game enless you're a first time gamer or under 8 years old. Rent, don't buy if you're older. ... Read more

Editorial Review

The Need for Speed series is already established as oneof the best racing game series on the PlayStation. Need for Speed:High Stakes continues the tradition in fine style by adding severalnew elements to the gameplay, and offering a wide variety of tracks andcars.

Where the previous game in the series had you running from the law, this one has you racing for pink slips. Sure, you can still playcops and robbers (this time even playing the role of John Q. Law),but the real fun in this game comes from racing to win so that you canbuy a better car. Once equipped with faster wheels, you can hook upwith a friend to race for titles in the two-player mode.

High Stakes boasts the best graphics in the series, but theycome at a price: slowdown. All too frequently, we found ourselveshitting a wall or an opponent's vehicle because the game stuttered aswe drove into a graphics-intensive portion of the track. Good visualsare nice, but they should never come at the expense of gameplay. Still, when else will you get a chance to blow away a buddy's shiny newMcLaren F1 in your "lowly" Corvette? --T. Byrl Baker

Pros:

  • Fun tracks and a variety of high-performance vehicles
  • Playing as the cops can be fun
  • Excellent sound effects
Cons:
  • Suffers from slowdown too often

5-0 out of 5 stars This Game Stinks!
Ha! You thought this was going to be a positive review didn't you? Ha! Ha! And double ha!
I first got Need for Speed: High Stakes when I was six months old, and hated it already. So I ate the CD and it tasted bad.

5-0 out of 5 stars Super Pursuit
Super 3D graphics make the game fun.The music is well made.Choose cars like the Mc Laren F1,La Nina and the Mercedees CLK GTR and tons more!(Note:Unlock these cars by doing well in Carrer Mode and/or doing cool cheats).More than 15 tracks is sweet!I love Hot Pursuit,it is exactly what there would be in a real chase!(it is REAL!)There is a lady dispatcher and lots of fast policemen make me hesitate in my seat!Overall it is a super game.GET IT!

4-0 out of 5 stars A Great Game!
Need For Speed is amazing!Cool Tracks,Cool effects, and cool cars of course!Need for Speed is a fun game for anyone! If you try it you will love it.Well,I won't tell you what you are going to see in the game, because it's a surprise! But there is also tournments,Races, and you can try to unlock tracks, cars, and more!If you complete some tournments! The rest a surprise!I hope you like it too,Like me!

5-0 out of 5 stars I still feel the Need For Speed
Need For Speed: High Stakes is the only game from the Need For Speed series that I have played, so I cannot compare this particular game to the others in the series. What I can say is that NFS: High Stakes is a great little game even now, four years later. The graphics look a little clunky compared to today's technology, yet there is still enough detail to the cars and race track surroundings to keep me happy.Despite the fact that I obviously am not very good at keeping my car on the track, I think the controls are pretty good. The only annoying thing is that pushing the joystick up honks the horn, and I end up hitting the up arrow to some degree every time I move from left to right and vice versa. One feature I really like is the ability to look behind the car during the race, although this usually sends me right into a wall or tree; any time I actually manage to pass another car, I almost have to look back and watch it eat my dust. The game is truly blessed with many camera angles. After each race, the game automatically shows you an instant replay of the entire race (unless you choose to skip it), shifting between ten different cameras. This means I can watch and see just how horrendous all of my crashes were.

In many ways, the best part of the game is not the actual racing. The first thing you have to do is choose a car, and there are at least nineteen cool little speed demons at your beck and call (and even more later on if and when you have enough cash to move up in the world). If you can't decide which car you want, you can take a trip to the car showroom and hear all sorts of details about the specifications and features of each model available.Serious players can build, update, and customize any car to make it his/her pride and joy, yet really serious players have the high stakes option of putting their money where their mouths are (i.e., racing for pink slips) - you lose the race, you lose your car.

The tracks are really quite diverse and require different driving styles; when you have to deal with a number of hairpin turns, you'd better be a better driver than I am.Different environments help make each race unique, as you might have to battle bad weather, additional passenger traffic, and the darkness of night.Of course, you don't have to just go out there and race cold turkey; you can take all the time you want running test laps and getting a feel for each track. You also have the option of racing in single events or competing in tournaments.

My favorite aspect of this game, though, is the Hot Pursuit option. Here, you can choose either to run from the law or climb inside a police car (which can vary depending on the country in which you are driving) and play Smokey to some other guy's Bandit. You even get to bang against and all but wreck fleeing speeders in your quest to enforce the law.Whichever side of the law you choose to play, you are privy to all sorts of great police radio chatter.Speeders will have to evade not one cop alone but a whole group of them, and these cops coordinate their pursuit tactics.Roadblocks, spike strips, and a bevy of cruisers trying to block you in can all make for quite an exciting challenge.

Need For Speed: High Stakes is getting a little long in the tooth now, as is the original Playstation console, but the game is still a lot of fun to play when you just want to goof around for a little while.Serious gamers will unlock cars and tracks that more casual players may never see for themselves, but any novice can pop in the CD and entertain himself/herself with a world of fun features.

4-0 out of 5 stars Need For Speed High Stakes
Well i bet the other need for speed games are much better on playstation 2,but on the computer its pretty cool to.all you do in this one is race race and race. The good thingis that you get to pick what car u want, even a cop car!if u look on the back of the thing before u buy it,,well actully,by one point the back does look better then the game.I played this game many times and its great.Pther people say this game is bad because all u do is race and get bonos stuff, its actully the best racing game, other then nascar,i ever played.please listin to me what im tellin you is true.because once you by it your thank me. ... 4-0 out of 5 stars Not the best but still fun.
You get to control people in a 3D enviroment. There is only one camera veiw though, which sux. Other then that the game is cool especially the computer intelligence.

4-0 out of 5 stars dune is not pointless
every one i know say this game is crap but i think it is quite good because you dont offen get to command armys that are bigger than the base you origionally built!!! strategy games are my favorite types, like the command and conquer series which were ace and still are. You also have the opportunity to steal buildings and nick their technology.
i also enjoy battering the ai twats and putting their troops in a kind of death camp. oh yeah that reminds me i have tip to get rid of harvesters here it is:
(you need to be ordos team for this)
1) build a mcv and build it in a desolate area
2) build a repair pad next to it
3) buildset of conrete (the largest set)
4) then build missile turrets all the way round but leave one gap for an harvester to enter.
5) get a deviator and steal a ai harvester quickly get a carryall to send it to the repair pad near your 'death camp'
6) when it has arrived send it in to the middle of the turrets and close the gap with a wall so when it turns back it cant escape.
7) when it has been destroyed delete the wall and repeat the sequence over and over till they have no cash to buy with
Then launch a massive assault on their base

remember to keep the deviator safe from the enemy.

4-0 out of 5 stars If you liked Dune, You'll love Dune 2000
I fell in love with Dune for the ol' Sega.So when I saw Dune 2000 hidden in the back of some discount games I was browsing through, I impulse purchased.Dune 2000 ups the original, as to be expected. (It's not 16-bit anymore!) Better graphics, although not what one would expect, more scenerios, and some pretty neat video segways (even that proffesor from Sliders as the Atredies mentat!) are plusses. The menus can be daunting at first or when in a rush, however.I've spent many a late night plotting the downfall of each of the three houses. If you enjoyed Dune II, buy Dune 2000.

5-0 out of 5 stars Fantastic
Dune 2000 is a very challanging game. I would recamend it to anyone who likes a challange.

4-0 out of 5 stars Solid and Fun
The Dune chronicles come alive on video?Well.... not really, but the game is solid and fun. This game is very similar to Command and Conquer with some improvements. As with C&C there is a story line to follow between missions which has some relavence to the books and worms will eat you troops. ... Read more

5-0 out of 5 stars Great stand but it is just for looks
I bought this stand over the vertical standbecause i heard stories about the discs being scratched when the ps2 is in vertical position. I have been very happy with the stand so far. I am going to give the vertical one a try too ...

5-0 out of 5 stars Best Sony PlayStation 2 accessory... EVER!
I bought this thing back in 2001 because I was unsatisfied with the vertical stand and how it made the laser skip sometimes so I traded it in to Electronics Boutique for this one which looks cool (oooh look at the blue bar in front of the vents!) and I am an accessory freak.I really can't say why I bought this thingie, but I am using it right now and I have had absolutely no problems with it and I can't really say it makes a difference, but I feel that Sony should have grafted this onto the original mold of all PlayStation 2s and not make people buy this... accessory! Supposedly it is supposed to give you better airflow because it blocks the front air vents [(with no fan) only blocks first generation models!], but mine is a second generation model (good model early 2001- without those disc-read error launch defects). My model has the raised vents, so the blue bar doesn't cover it, allowing dust to get in your PS2.I only reccommend this useless accessory to you if you have the original October 26, 2000 model PS2, can't stand having $.. in your wallet or you think that a little bar of blue plastic made by Sony is so so cool!

5-0 out of 5 stars It's the best ever!
when I ordered it, i thought it would be just a piece of junk, but when I saw it for the 2nd time, I was amazed at how sleek and space effecint it was. Get the stand and you'll see.

5-0 out of 5 stars Horizontal Stand
What more can I say, Its self-explanatory.Hence the name!!!It's main purpose is to look cool.Sure you can place your PS2 in its vertical position, and yes that would save you alot of room, but in the long run your PS2 will start to scratch your cds.No matter how well you take care of it, even if you treat it like it was part of your family, it would still give you the same result.Trust me, I've been through two PS2 already. The first model which in my opinion, sony rushed it out into the market so that they can make some cha-ching you know. That system died on me for no apparent reason.I'm guessing because of its weak laser assemble.I've waited in a line for hours and hours, spend a couple of bones on it and within a few months the system just chokes. My second system came upon me as a gift, including the Vertical Stand. At first glance, People said: "Sh#$ this looks flood plucking tight"Being me, I took their word for it and I placed the system in it's up right position. No sooner did I noticed that the system starts spitting out my cds with circular scratches on each and everyone of them. A long story short, that system died too, as I was very piss off at it plus it stoping dvds too. This is my third and final system, and I plan to keep it that way for a long time as I am now placing the system with a horizontal stand.I've had it for about two months now and it works great.Need I say more. So if you plan to position your system to make it look cool and not have to worry about scratches then look no further then purchasing the horizontal stand.
Note: Positioning the system in it's vertical stand can cause it to scratch, but this was my experience with it.

1-0 out of 5 stars S.S.S.(Space Saving Stand)
The vertical stand allows for space to be used efficiently, besides, it looks cool! ... Read more

2-0 out of 5 stars BORING!!!!
I bought my PS1 in 1999, and this was the 2nd game I bought. This game is only fun if you cheat. Mainly because it is too boring to spend countless times replaying the same level over and over again to finally advance to the next one and have the exact same objective. Find batteries or some item, then find the mission end door. This wasn't poorly made, by any means. It is a good early FPS, maybe I played it just too late. A definite buy if your an Alien fan though.

4-0 out of 5 stars DIE, MONSTER, DIE!
This is a great game. Yeah, the graphics are a bit creaky, but the atmospheric soundtrack more than makes up for that. My son and I have been playing this game together as a tag team for more than two years. It will fill you with anxiety, make your pulse pound, and--yes--it may even make you cry for your mama. If you liked the 1st two films, this is the closest you'll get to LV-426 (in this lifetime anyway) . . . at least until an upgraded version comes along. But try to snare a cluebook as well. We've been stuck at level 3/3 for about 3 months!

4-0 out of 5 stars Solid near classic PS1 fun
Originally released way, way back a little after the release of the original Playstation; Acclaim's Alien Trilogy (you can tell this game is old considering the film series stopped being a trilogy when the fourth film Alien Resurrection was released a year later on) is a straight forward first person shooter in which you play as Ripley going through all the Xenomorph infested areas from the first three films.By today's standard's the graphics, gameplay, and weapon options are all pretty dated, but in it's day Alien Trilogy was one of the better FPS games to hit the PS1.All in all, if you still have your PS1 and dig older FPS games, you should give this one time gem a look.

4-0 out of 5 stars Solid fun
If you want a [well priced], yet fulfilling few hours of destructive fun, this is your game. I found the ambience slightly disturbing, that's good. Fans of the films will appreciate all the locales being included. The graphics are extremely dated, but for fans of old school games who don't need extreme eye candy, this is a solid buy.

5-0 out of 5 stars Rock the Rink Rocks!
This is the best game i've ever played! If you want a great game that really rocks, pick this!!!

4-0 out of 5 stars a favorite hockey game of mine
NHL Rock the rink is to NHL Hitz on PS2 and Gamecube as violence in hockey in reality as to cartoon violence in hockey. This game has nice graphics, a funny commentator, a few teams, and the NHL's finest teams all in this hybrid of real hockey and NFL Blitz.

1-0 out of 5 stars Buy a real hockey game and WWF instead.
NHL Rock the Rink is entertaining for the first five minutes like NFL Blitz. However, once you realize that it has little to do about hockey gameplay and more about trying to be like WWF Smackdown in a hockey rink that's when you'll stop playing. The last complaint about this game is that you are unable to play as any of the NHL teams (so why even should it garner the NHL prefix?)Instead, you play as a fantasy team against you NHL favorites.Do yourself a favor, if you are a true hockey fan stick with either 989 Sports excellent Faceoff series or EA Sports hockey offerings.

4-0 out of 5 stars And he fires the thingamabob into the whatchamacalit!
Well worth the time for any hockey fans, this game owes more to the original Open Ice 2-on-2 game than Blitz, but who cares, it's still great. The commentary is hilarious, the guy's a genius and hes just as good in NHL 2002.The action is fast but you can still control it, fights are great, you should really get this game just to see your goalies go at it!Go buy it, you'll have a blast and won't regret it.

5-0 out of 5 stars Oh, so fun....
This is such a nice change from hockey-sims such as NHL 2k and the like. While I love the sims, they tend to get you mired in line changing, team picks, meter watching, etc.

This game is simple. 3-on-3, smash or be smashed, and play some simple hockey ! While nowhere near a hockey sim, the basic rules do the job nicely. Character animation is good, but not great, though special effects and sound effects are hilarious.

There are plenty of trick moves and special shots that allow the wimpy "finesse" players survive and even win against the big bad bruiser sized players. Either style of play you choose, you'll have fun.

Well done. ... Read more

5-0 out of 5 stars REAL FISHING IS FUN FISHING
rEAL FISHING IS ONE OF THE BEST FISHING GANMES EVER, FOR PLAYSTATION 1, i LIKE THE RELAXING MUSIC AND THE FISHING IS IN REAL PLACES AND FIGHTING THE FISH IS PRETTY REAL TO THIS GAME IS A FUN GAME AND I CANT WAIT TO BUY THE SECOND ONE.

1-0 out of 5 stars Reel Fishing ----Please!
This is not one of the best games for fishing, heck I wouldn't place it in the top 500, and I don't believe there are even that many out there, so you get my point.Confusing, bad graphics and just a sad game. We should be apologizing to the fish for this one.....

1-0 out of 5 stars craphappy waste of 10 bucks
i thought this would be cool 4 stars but i got it the fish look like painted on pieces of paper theres crappy muxic and it plain old sucks

1-0 out of 5 stars Slims review
wow i can see how anybody can enjoy such a boring, bad graphic, lame excuse for a playstation game.It should be played on gameboy or something of that sort.

3-0 out of 5 stars Challenging fishing game
I thought this fishing game was great. The price is much lower than some of the other fishing games available. There is really a challenge placed on you to land a fish.Sometimes they never bite and sometimes they breakaway just as you are about to get them to the surface. You go throughlevels of different bodies of water, each time catching a limit of a newtype of fish. You can choose between several rods and lures. One of theunique things about this game is that you can keep your prize fish in atank back at the fishing lodge. You get to name them, watch them, feedthem, etc.A memory card is a must for this game, to save your recordcatches. ... 5-0 out of 5 stars Cute, fun, and great for puzzle and mini game lovers!
Though I admit that this type of game may not be for everyone, for those who enjoy puzzle games and mini games, this will be highly entertaining. The game is basically a collection of mini games and tasks that are tied together with a storyline about how each of the characters must get back home in time to celebrate grandmother's birthday.

The game starts with the father of the family, and the player engages in a rhythm game type mini game to get the father through his company's employee exercises. After a few more tasks with the father (including an Indiana Jones style scene where you must run out of the path of a wrecking ball), the player also plays as the mother of the family and the two children. The games range from button mashing to strategy (one game involves stealthy movement across a room while staying out of the sight of security cameras), and involve a bunch of wacky scenarios. One scene involves aliens and a game that requires the player to remember button patterns much like the game "Simon." As for the difficulty, though some games may be too difficult for younger children, I played through this game and managed to pass the entire thing in the course of one day. Though some games were challenging, I didn't think they were impossible to overcome.

The graphics are cute, and though not the best, they aren't bad for a PS1 game. I thought this game was funny, quirky, and supplied a nice variety of mini games. I'd definitely recommend it to people who enjoy that kind of gameplay.

4-0 out of 5 stars awsome game... and i only played the demo!
let me start out by saying, i have played the demo at least 10 times now and i still play it, i plan on getting it soon when i get some money, but for now i will stick with the demo, such a fun and replayble game, for me anyway. and the cutscenes are the best they are great looking and funny, the jap language yells used in the game are great to "yewehhhh" don't know if that is how you spell it, but i know how to say it. i love this game, i want a sequel dangit!

4-0 out of 5 stars Hard to beat and Hard tp put down
This game is the definition of a button masher.
It is hard. But if you stick with it you will be
rewarded. It is very unique and quirky and at a
bargain bin price you can't pass it up. Good Game

1-0 out of 5 stars Incredible No, Crisis Yes
First you dance, then you run.IC is a game fueled by curiosity, as long as you don't blow your top.You never know what will happen next.First, dance in a parappa the rappa style button pressing to the beat of music that is really off beat. This game is clearly a japanese game poorly made into an English version. The character Yano has to dance, I don't know why. Then a wrecking ball hits the building and you have to run from it. It is quite difficult but once you get the hang of it, you progress. If you like weird story type games, you'll like IC.

5-0 out of 5 stars Incredible Fun, Incredible Charecters, and A Incredible Game
Incredible crisis is a crazy, wacky, funny, and did i say crazy!! It throws minigames at you left and right! and even up and down! It's story is wierd but who can complain! With up to 24 minigames! Thats right 24!!!!!!! But its gameplay is where it comes to its great statues. It has a little bit of everygame. Some of Metal Gear, SSX, DDR , and even does a little spoof on some movies. This game is great for pick up and play action. Even though its short you'll be playing for months!!!!I recomend pick up this game now!!!Weather your into any game this game is a instant crazy classic!! ... Read more

1-0 out of 5 stars Stay the hell away
The ONLY reason I bought this game, is because it is getting harder to find, and I collect rare games. This has got to be the worst game on the playstation. Well, besides Bubsy 3-D. Nuff said, I gotta go.

5-0 out of 5 stars Shadow Tower
Quite frankly, as far as the Kings Feild series is concerned, Shadow Tower has the best graphics, animation, and gameplay... this includes the fun ,but comparably lifeless efforts on PS2... it's a very pretty dungeon crawl and well worth owning if you like these kinds of games.

5-0 out of 5 stars Give this Game a Chance!
I've played all the playstation games, and this was by far the best of them all.Although I never thought it possible, this game is actuallybetter than the classics, King's Field and King's Field II.Even thoughit's a very long, involved game, I wish it was MUCH MUCH longer.Sure, some things could have been improved, such as the dialog and having morechoices at the shop, but these are VERY minor drawbacks compared to theheart-pounding thrill of entering each level, not knowing who or what'sgoing to come at you or where to turn. Also, I'll admit that many of theenemies could have been made powerful and cunning, but again, this gameplays great, plain and simple.Buy it, and give it a chance!

1-0 out of 5 stars The Worst Game For the Playstation
This game is just so bad, I have barely anything to say about it since I played it for so little time.Combat is run up and hit the enemy, go back, do these same two things again until you're bored out of your mind. All ofthe sound effects are really weird, and just plain annoying. There is nodual shock support, analog control, and the loading times are evennoticeable.Plus, the graphics are just filled with glitches to the brim.Even navigating around the little menu is a chore.I know there are somebad games out there, but only a few are truly horrible. Shadow Tower is oneof them.

1-0 out of 5 stars Terrible Remake of "King's Field"
I've played King's Field 1 and 2, and the Games was realy fantastic games with wonderful Sound, near a real Movie. And I've buy the new Game "Shadow Tower". The Graphic is terrible, tedious, only newMonster and great Dungeons. No, NOT 5 STAR'S. This Game is simply bad. TheGraphic have more Pixel than Tomb Raider, and this in a Game from1998/1999. I'm in the fifth Level - all only in Underground. "ShadowTower" is an disappointment. ... Read more

5-0 out of 5 stars It is Showtime!
NBA Showtime is a better arcade version of NBA Jam and its sister game, College Slam. It's the same as NBA Jam, but it's in 3-D. One of the things i like is the horn you hear when you are goaltending or a free throw. It is indeed Showtime!

5-0 out of 5 stars Best Game on the Play Station System
Ok this game is very exciting. The graphics are good and it doesn't cheat you very often.I have played this game probably over 200 times.Whenever I have friends over they always start playing that game.If i have a different game in they always take it out and put in NBA Showtime. It is very fun playing with 2 or more people.Even playing by yourself is fun.The 2-on-2 play spreads out the court well and it keeps track of stats pretty well too i think.Creating players and trying to get them to the top being a grand champion and all star champion makes you want to keep playing the game.I got a lot out of the game i think everyone should. In my opinion it's the best sports game on the Play Station system.I give it 5 stars. Thank You.

4-0 out of 5 stars an acheivement for midway
this game really was a surprise for me and and buds. really it is fun to play with 2 or more players. it gets boring playing it by yourself. the computer drone on your team doesn't do jack. if you can play with two or more people then buy this midway classic

4-0 out of 5 stars This Is An Okay Game.
On this game the graphics are great! The problem is that when I first bought this game I thought that there was going to be a whole team playing, but it's two vs. two. you pick out what two players you want two play with. The only good thing about it is that it's easier to play the game. I washoping that a whole team would be playing each other. If you buy this gameit's worth trying it.

2-0 out of 5 stars a real disappointment
Granted, the Playstation doesn't have quite the graphics of N-64 and certainly not the realism of Sega Dreamcast, however, I thought with this relatively simple and fun game they could really do a great job. Unfortunately, the graphics are no better than any other game.It issimple and fast paced (normally my kind of game) but it is a real designflaw that when you pass the ball to your teammate, you don't control theteammate (other than to shoot or pass).A more complicated game like NBALive can even manage that simple feat. The dunks are great fun and I wouldimagine the game play with four people would be loads of fun (if I hadfriends I would be able to say so but, alas, such is not the case).Myfavorite game in the world is NFL Blitz and since Blitz and Showtime areboth made by Midway, I expected more.So it goes. ... 4-0 out of 5 stars First Entry Into This Ultra Popular Series
Great game, even for a first in a series, this game had a good number of matches, great graphics, the improvement in the wrestling moves were amazing, the controls were great improved from the button mashing of Warzone and Attitude. Entrances are lackluster but the video background makes up for it. Very well done by WWE.

5-0 out of 5 stars Bold the Not so Bold
I olove smackdown it is fun. you can fight with stone cold steve austin and the rock in a cage match for the wwf title. you can beat up mankind aka dude love akacatus jack aka mick foley in an royalrumble match. it will bring you hours of fun.

2-0 out of 5 stars WWF: Smackdown
When this game first came out it was the talk of every WWE fan. But now it just plainly stinks. I would not recommend buying this as it has no point anymore. More than half the superstars in it aren't in WWE anymore.

2-0 out of 5 stars GOOD FOR ITS TIME, BUT NOT TODAY
THIS WAS THE FIRST OF THE SMACKDOWN GAMES. WHILE IT WAS VERY FUN TO PLAY WHEN IT WAS FIRST RELEASED, THIS GAME IS ALMOST UNPLAYABLE TODAY! BEING THAT WE GOT MUCH FASTER GAMES LIKE SMACKDOWN; SHUT YOUR MOUTH AND SMACKDOWN; HERE COMES THE PAIN. THE GAMEPLAY IS ACTUALLY VERY SLOW [WHICH IS SOMETHING I'VE BEGAN NOTICING RECENTLY] THE CONTROLS AREN'T AS ADVANCED AS THE LATER GAMES ARE, AND YOU'LL JUST BE WASTING MONEY BUYING THIS GAME WHEN YOU CAN GET ONE OF THE MORE RECENT SMACKDOWN GAMES. DON'T PICK THIS ONE UP NOW. IT ALREADY SEEMS DATED AND POINTLESS NOW.

1-0 out of 5 stars THQ completely ruins the genre of wrestling games
This will also be my review for every subsequent SmackDown! game. After WCW started to lose popularity, THQ started to do WWF-themed wrestling games. When it did, even beginning on the N64, there were hints that they were turning what was a good system into complete crap. They finally succeded (so to speak, if that was their actual intent) when they started the SmackDown! series. I have no problems with the graphics, the entrances, or the sound in this game. I have the biggest problem however with the gameplay and how the game controls.

First off, they gave the game arcade style feel and controls. Big mistake. They also made it more like the actual show: you have to continually punch the guy before you can start doing grappling moves. I may be in the minority, but constantly punching a guy gets old fast. I want to be able to start throwing suplexes and hitting piledrivers right off the bat. Secondly, the game's A.I. has gotten extremely intelligent. Too intelligent. The game can kick your ass unless you're a great gamer, and I'm just average, maybe a little below. Mainly because of the counter system. The game goes like this: punch, punch, punch, punch, grapple, move-counter move-counter move, etc. You'll get countered excessively, and your counters won't work most of the time. Yes, it is a lot like the actual wrestling you watch on TV, but for a wrestling game to be fun in my opinion, it can't be realistic in terms of following how an actual wrestling match would go. I don't want to spend over an hour or more in a match, 15-30 minutes is plenty, unless it's a Royal Rumble-type match.

THQ threw out the window the great grappling engine they had with the N64 games and has replaced it with this tripe. I honestly don't understand what the fans see in this series of game. I guess if you like your matches in the game to follow how the matches on the show work, and you enjoy the actual wrestling to a be a chore and full of non-stop punching and countering, than this is the game for you. If you want an actual FUN wrestling game, then I suggest you stick with THQ's WCW games on the N64. At least then, they had the right idea. ... Read more

Editorial Review

Rampage World Tour is a fun remake of the old 1980s arcade classic. You are a mutated human who has grown to colossal size by an experiment gone wrongat the highly dubious Scumlabs International. In your newly formed mutated state, youplay the part of one of three Godzilla-size monsters: Lizzy the Dinosaur, Ralph theWolfman, or George the Gorilla. Your task is to eat as many civilians and to destroy asmany cities as possible while on a rampage of revenge against Scumlabs.

As you travel around the world, climbing and smashing buildings, leaving destructionand carnage in your wake, the only thing standing between you and a festival of urbandemolition is a paltry bunch of tanks, rocket-pack soldiers, and police cars. Even if theseguys manage to take you down, they pose no real threat--the game offers unlimitedreplays.

What makes Rampage World Tour so addictive is the fun of punchingholes in buildings, downing planes with a single kick, and cannonballing thoughthe roof of the local courthouse. In two-player mode, you can also fight othermonsters, but the main fun of the game is still to be found in unrelentingdestruction of high-rises, hot dog stands, hospitals, and every other kind ofbuilding imaginable. In short, the game revolves around quick-and-dirty masscarnage.

The graphics are true to the original game's style while being a strongimprovement over previous versions. The game interface is easy to learn, andphony news reports and the antics of Scumlabs scientists provide a humorousintermission between levels. So if you have ever wanted to grind the majorlandmarks of the planet under your heel and stomp out to sea, RampageWorld Tour is for you. Allen Stewart

Pros:

  • Fun, cartoony, movie monster mayhem
  • You can work with or against a friend
  • Unlimited replays keep the focus on just having fun--not on winning levels
  • Punch through a wall, and screaming occupants or other treats may be revealed
Cons:
  • Gameplay is very repetitive
  • The cities tend to look alike
  • Very little plot

2-0 out of 5 stars A fun game... for the first 20 minutes!
This game was quite... what's a nice word for it... bad. I don't completely remember, but I think this game was given to me for a birthday present or something, so I do feel bad for whoever it was who gave it to me... what a waste of good money. Sure, at times it could be addicting, but it's way too repetitive and too long.

I think I'll sell it the first chance I get. I don't care what kind of games you like, don't get this one at all.

5-0 out of 5 stars Good for a beginner......
We got this game for our son when he was four years old.He wanted to play with his cousin who was ten. This was is a good starter game for a child who had never used Playstation before.Rampage was easy enough for him to learn without getting frustrated. The repetition helped him learn the controls, the "lives" are unlimited and the graphics kept him interested. Now that he is six he still enjoys the game and he now has the dexterity to play more intricate games.

5-0 out of 5 stars exciting and sick
I never owned a Sega Genesis, so I never got to experience Road Rash on that system.I got to watch other Sega owners play the game though.Once I got a Playstation and noticed that I could play Road Rash on that system, I knew I had to grab a copy.

I sure am glad I did. It's too bad I can't find the game anymore.I thought I had it somewhere but it's not where I thought it would be.So I lost it.Funny how I keep losing video games when in actuality I'm a very organized person.

This game is really freaking sick and fun.I love hitting old ladies with my bike, along with construction workers and the half-naked girl who waves the start flag. It's really fun hitting people with your bike. It's also great kicking and punching people, along with smacking them with chains and baseball bats.

This game could have more stages instead of just five, but that's okay. The hard rock music that plays in each of the stages is really awesome.

So what, the graphics could be better. That doesn't matter at all.

5-0 out of 5 stars Just like I remember it...
I lost my Sega a yr ago (Sniff...) and I wanted RR and I could'nt get it cause I had nothing to play it on. So I was strolling through Babbages one day and I see RR. I think to myself: could this be it? And I bought it without knowing what I was getting myself into. The next month I spent with my PS1 are days I will never forget. It was just as I had remembered it. Not a sprite out of place and the game seemed to play faster on the PS1. Now I have another Sega, but anytime I want to go down memory lane with some classic RR, I bust out my PS1 and let the good times roll...and I bust some heads while I'm at it.

1-0 out of 5 stars RaZer's Opinion...
This is one of Playstation worst games yet! Playstation is know for its great games plus Playstation is the #1 selling system ever! One of the fewexceptions is Road Rash.

Road Rash is a very bad game. I mean youbasically play the whole game in 2 minutes. Hey don't get me wrong Iusually like the Road Rash series they were one of my favorites on theGenesis, but not on the Playstation.

Plus the characters in the game withthat so called "puppet animation" who could look at those guysfor 5 minutes and live tell me I want to know.

Plus they basically didn'tdo anything to the levels compared to the Genesis Road Rash. The levels arestill at Genesis's level or animation! You can't do worst than that. Like Isaid I like the Road Rash series on the Genesis, but that was when thePlaystation didn't exist! I bought this game hoping it would be a greatlyimproved game from the Genesis version, but actually I think I like theGenesis version better. I mean at least it was original and the first, butthis new one should be up to Playstation's animation level not the Genesisor Game Boy's! Don't be dumb and waste your good money on this game. Go outand buy some games with Playstation standards!

5-0 out of 5 stars A REALYAWESOME GAME

I order this item on April 27th, and as of May 8 it hasn't been delivered.

3-0 out of 5 stars A good game that won't appeal to everyone.
Graphics: 6/10 – Not too flash really, there isn’t much to look at here. The aeroplanes look nice when you’re checking out which one to fly in, but in the air, it’s mostly just a nice shade if blue.

Sound: 6/10 – I can remember the background plane noises, but the shooting sounds could’ve been more bang-crash-WAM!

Value: 5/10 – If you play a lot of games that are based around things in the air or aeroplanes, this isn’t the pick of the litter. It is worth buying for a price under $..., but you might not be interested if you aren’t willing to get fly-wise.

Overall: 6/10 – Definitely not a poor game, it will teach you with its intelligence how to fly a simulator plane, but don’t expect the entertainment level to be through the roof.

5-0 out of 5 stars Good for its time
Many may ask why I would give this game such a high score, its because this game is about four years old. You can't judge it against current games if you simply want to judge its worth. It's an arcade-style flying gamewith graphics which most would consider somewhat dated, however thegameplay is solid and the presentation gives players a fun diversion.

4-0 out of 5 stars It's a game focused for players who like quick, close combat
I bought this game because there are very few flight simulating games for the Sony Playstation. To be honest, it's not the maximum experience, but you have to be quick to engage the enemy. Especially when it's oncomingdirectly TOWARDS YOU. You have to be quick trying to turn your plane's nosetoward the enemy's plane, try to stay in line with it and shoot your targetas close as you can get, while at the same time you're beeing shot up fromthe ground. I think that's a challenge. I liked the variety of planes andtheir different aerodynamic features. As of the F-117, IT'S A STEALTHAIRCRAFT! IT CANNOT BE AS HIGHLY MANEUVERABLE AS OTHER AIRCRAFT BECAUSE OFTHE CONSTRUCCION MATERIALS USED TO BUILD IT AND THE SHAPE IT HAS!

2-0 out of 5 stars At Least It's A Flying Game For Playstation...
It's nice to have a air combat game with the sea of driving games for the PlayStation. I would hope they could at least apply some of the attention-to-detail the driving games get. The planes handle like crap (theF-117 stalls at any change in direction and speed), air speed is slow, theflight ceiling is just higher than the roof of your house, and the weaponsare far from true-to-life.The F-14 is a lumbering bullet like in reallife, but the F-14 was created to carry the Phoenix Air-To-Air missile thatcan be fired from hundreds of miles away, yet you have to get your F-14into dogfight situations (it was not meant for that) to lock on at 1000yards because that's the magic number for any aircraft in the Air Combatgame. For $15 it's not a bad game, but I beg and plead for a gamingcompany to put out a real fighter-combat simulator for the PlayStation. ... 5-0 out of 5 stars Excellent for it's time, and good for now...
This was an excellent controller for PS1, as it offered the excellent 'shock' feature, which made gaming better and more realistic. It also looks great, and has more accessible buttons. It looks alot like the standard controllers that came along with PS2's, so u might not be THAT impressed if u've already purchased that system. Also, there are now great wireless controllers that are awesome.

3) Start and Select buttons are too little

5-0 out of 5 stars OK Controller
This controller i got for my playstation was my 3rd controller, the other 2 were the original gray ones. my brother in law has a transparent blue Viper 2 controller and thats the one i wanted, so i tried to copy him and this was as close as i could find. To me, this controller is just like the gray ones only blue, but the shock is better.

5-0 out of 5 stars U must own this controller.
I traded my friend a game for this controller and it was well worth it. I noticed that i would do a lot better in all types of games which are mostly racing. You move around a lot better with this controller. If you want to add to your playstation gameplaying skills you need to get this controller it will definately help and it is well worth the cost evethough it is a lil pricey. So go and get it NOW!!

5-0 out of 5 stars Sony knows what Sony knows!
I think I spent all of about 5 minutes trying to decide what I wanted when I decided to purchase a second controller for my Playstation. The dual shock controller is far better then the original controller. Not only does it improve game play because of the vibration but it also gives you the choice of the directional pad or the analog joysticks! When it comes to purchasing accessories for the Playstation it always best to go with Sony. It is definitely worth the extra (money) you pay vs. some piece of junk aftermarket controller.

What I was attracted to about this particular one is the cool transparent colors; the blue and red are my favorites. A great buy, and I would have to recommend it to anyone looking to add a second or third controller to his or her Playstation. ... Read more

5-0 out of 5 stars Too Easy
The game is really easy if you pick one of the light bikes, and you have to work at it for a while. If you have trouble don't enter the codes, because if you enter the codes you won't get any better.Once you get good at the game use the heavy bikes and try to finish well with them.

4-0 out of 5 stars The JetMoto Review
Just as a little history lesson JetMoto is made by the same people who made the first two Twisted Metal games and Twisted Metal Black. If that is not reason enough to get this game I will give you some more. For anti-gravity racing fans out there buying JetMoto is an easy decision to make, but for all you other gamers JetMoto is a very challenging game to play, it will definitely test you to your limits.Like Wipout, JetMoto is a futuristic racing game but with a twist. The twist is, what makes it different from Wipeout, it is a mix between anti-gravity racing and MotoCross. The graphics, soundtrack, animations, and soundeffects pull you into the game and never let go.

The graphics in this game are very good for the PS1.The texture maps, water splashes, sand effects, and the waves add to the experience. If you have a PS2 you can smooth the graphics out and make them look even better.

Soundtrack: Now this soundtrack is one of the best I have ever heard, right up there with Wipeout's.The music is exciting and beautifully reflects the environments of each course.

Animations: As you race through each track taking tight turns, you can feel the weight of the craft as your rider pulls on it to just make that turn. And when you get some big air it feels like the rider is actually flying through the air.

Soundeffects: The soundeffects are equally superb. The sound of the jetmoto makes you believe that your really racing on a anti-gravity bike. The water slashes, solid landing sound, turbo boosts are all done extremly well.

Now for the one thing I did not mention above, the controls. If you have played Wipout then you are ready to play JetMoto. If you have never played Wipeout JetMoto's controls are overall good, become difficult in the tight courses.

I'll give you some advise, MASTER THE GRAPPLING HOOK!Some of the tracks are frustratingly hard and if it becomes a little too much to bare go to this web site for cheat codes.(www.ign.com) Despite its few short comings JetMoto is one of the best anti-gravity racing games I have ever played and definetely worth the your money.

4-0 out of 5 stars cool
There are awesome tracks and stuff. You can do cool stunts and flips and race against others. But, once you get to the harder levels, it gets REAL hard. Did I mention they have cool tracks?

5-0 out of 5 stars Yes you must buy this
What is everyones problem? This game is not hard...in fact its too easy! Ive beaten it with at least half the people on the master setting getting first place in every race on the master setting with chein, gunner, and miko. I mean cmon at least pu some effort into it. If you think this is hard your gonna die playing Jet Moto 2. This game is really great though. And dont whine about there not being computer opponents in the 2 player mode because if you beat it on the master setting with nine players then a code gives you this setting. In fact all the codes are great except the show off cameras and ice racing. I would definately buy this game, even if its old, its great cheap fun. I have over 40 playstation games and this one is among the best (the best i own is Castlevania SOTN) which slaughters Metal gear Solid. Buy Jet Moto now.

4-0 out of 5 stars Great game great graphics
This is one of the best water jet games you will find.If you ask me buy it.I think it is great a tiny bit hard control but fine other wise. ... Read more
