4-0 out of 5 stars Great re-creations of the arcade originals...
Great re-creations of the arcade originals... with couple of caveats. As a hard core gamer from the 80s and a collector of the full sized original arcade games (none of which are on this cart) I have to give this a near perfect score. I will outline each of the games on the cart with brif commentary:

Frogger: A true classic. My only real complaint with this game is that it doesn't have the original music theere are subtle nuances of the original but it's just too different to be authentic. Gameplay is hindered IMO because of the verticle scrolling screen which some people may a better alternative to the micro-screen option of Gyruss (more on that later).

Scramble: I used to play this game at a grocery store across the street from my house back in the day. I was never very good at it but this is a faithfull reproduction of the original. All sounds and gameplay are exact. Again this is a screen scolling game just like Frogger but gameplay is not affected at all.

Yie are Kung Foo: I hate this game. It is a true reproduction but the game does nothing for me. Your milage may vary.

Gyruss: This also was one of my favorite games from back in the day. This game is perfect for me even if it is a little small. But even my 31 year old eyes work well enough to rack up some respectable scores (even for a full sized machine. Initially I was a little put out by the tiny size of the game field but I eventually got used to it this one of my favorite GBA games. The sounds and look of this game is an exact replica of the arcade original. The 4 direction joy pad was a little difficult to get used to but it's just fine now that I've gotten used to it. My only real complaint is that when a high score is reached you can put in your initials but they are not saved from one session to the next.

Time Pilot- This game was also a favorite back in the day but unfortunately I find it completely unplayable with the GBA joy pad.

Rus'n Attack- This is the "newest" game in the pack. I'm not crazy about this game but it's growing on me. Again a perfect port from the arcade original. Rush'n Attack is a primitive side scolling platform game in which you "kill the commies" popular in the platform scroller of the 80's.

Overview: Great product for a great price. Just a couple of annoyances for an old school gamer but overall veryy solid and great to play some of the classics on the go.

5-0 out of 5 stars Buy it for Frogger and...
be amazed by Gyruss and Time Pilot are two of the best arcade shooting games EVER!

The games were built ground up for the gba and run flawlessly.

Frogger 9/10
Gyruss 10/10
Time Pilot 10/10
Yi Aer kung fu 7/10
Scramble 8/10
Rush'n attack 8/10

5-0 out of 5 stars THIS PACK IS WORTH MORE THAN $9.99!!
Trust me on this one.Amazon.com is giving this gamepack away!Well anyways many classics return, and I suspect that the only people that would remember them are us old timer gamers. All of these classics I enjoyed playing in the arcades in the 80's and early 90's.It's been 11 years since I last played Yie Ar Kung Fu, and the game is still the same as I remember it!I remember going to Togo's in 1989 with my mother and brothers and playing the Yie Ar Kung Fu and Popeye arcades. We had a blast! The games are small, dont eat up allot of RAM memory or hard disk space, but heck they're fun and thats all that matters!!!Unfortunately, many gamers today think that what makes a game a good seller, is the graphics, music, sound effects, and other multimedia catches.Unfortunately, many gaming companies have hired game designers that did not grow up in the 1980's and early 90's gaming days!Man its not the graphics, its all about the fun of the game!I can tell you that Yie Ar Kung Fu may be limited, and seem like a game a 2 year old would play, but its as fun as Street Fighter Alpha, and I mean it too!!!

5-0 out of 5 stars Kool Konami Kart!Retro Bliss!
Great package including the following games adapted for your GAMEBOY ADVANCE:
Frogger!
Yie Ar Kung Fu
Gyruss
Time Pilot
Rush'N Attack
Scramble
On the SP or Advance you can see them well -- they were all bright games!Sometimes it is hard to see bullets coming at you in Gyruss and Time Pilot when you are doing the handheld. But on the the Gameboy player for the Gamecube everything really seems solid!

This puts me back in an Aladin's Castle or Chuck E. Cheese in the 80s -- I can smell pizza and nachos while playing Frogger! And I want to check my pockets for gold tokens! The bright candy colors, easy to learn gameplay, and 80s video games make this a fun nostalgic cart that lives up to your retro expectations!

The Konami Cheat code -- up up down down left right left right B + A unlocks more lives and other variances on each game screen.

5-0 out of 5 stars Konami does it!
I have all of the arcade collection games for the GBA except one(heard it was bad, The Midway one) and this is tied in my book with "Atari anniversary advance".I bought this konami cartridge for frogger, but time pilot turned out to be my favorite on the cart (An awesome addicting game, nothing is hard to see with the sp).All of the games are very playable, Kung fu bieng the hardest to control.Gyruss and scramble are very good ports, gyruss' controls take time to get used to though. If you ever played Gradius for snes, scramble is its predessesor.I never really liked rush'n attack with nes, but it is a decent side scroller beat em up.Frogger is just how you remember it, AWESOME!This cart rules!

Conclusion:
If you liked the "old school" games in the past, or you like quick simple addicting fun (very fun, very addicting), This game is for you!!! Also try Atari anniversary advance! ... Read more

3-0 out of 5 stars Virtual Pet
This game is a modified virtual pet game with a few pokemon like tests. It barely follows the show if at all. However there is some redeeming qualities. Your Digimon will Digivolve. You start off with either Gabumon or Agumon and you can battle other Digimon. The two main objects that I know of in the game are to bring all Digimon that have "lost their hearts" (the equivalent to black gears in Season 1) back to the city and to fill up the Digimon Digivolutions Chart while your fillingup the city.
As I said at the start, it's mainly a virtual pet with a twist. You do have to take care of you Digimon as you go through the game. The Digimon can get sick, will have to use the washroom, eat, will become tired out when you train the stats at the stat-boosting facilities in the outside training gyms, and ask to sleep (which can be done anywhere.
The big reason of why I gave this game a three is all in all this game can drag on until you become good.

3-0 out of 5 stars it's ok
The game is ok long. Like pokemon, but better it's is way funner. Who is Hercules kabutermon is that the mega form of tentamon and how does he look. Reply if can.

5-0 out of 5 stars Best Digimon World games out
Well. I just wanna say, this is one of the *best* Digimon world games out. I've played Digimon world 1 & 2003 (Digimon world 3). And from the description of Digimon world 2, it sounds alot like Digimon world 2003 and pokemon combinded. In Digimon world 1. You get sucked into one of the orginal Digimon Digivices (the very orginal ones. My favorite outa them all.). The game plays alot like how the Keychain plays. Your digimon digivolve based on how well you take care of it, just like the orginal thing, meaning you need effort to get the one you want, which means things will start out slow, and get a bit slower once your first digimon dies, but thats all part of the fun. Sure once it reaches ultimate level it dies a lil later on. But thats exactly how they had it in the keychain. Ya I'll admit that the pooping anywhere thing gets annoying, but buying a few porta potties neglects that. The storyline is good, but to me it just seems to be there for a add in. You go around getting Digimon that can still talk to join the main city (most of the Digimon forgot how to talk, and I forgot the main city's name.)As it gets bigger you can do more stuff in it. The graphics are beautiful, way better then the ones in Digimon World 2003 (I haven't seen the Digimon World 2 graphics yet, so I can't judge.) The music is awesome as well. Overall, this is one of the best Digimon World games out there.

5-0 out of 5 stars Digimon World the Best Game Ever!!!
You must get this game!!!I got it 9/16/04 which was my birthday!!!If you don't like Agumon or Gabumon no problem all you have to do is make them lose all of their lifes. You will get a really cute fresh Digimon. You can get a green egg, orangeegg, blue egg,and pink egg.You get a different Digimon with each one.If your a big fan of Bakumon you might want to kill Agumon or Gabumon 2 times and only win1 battle you got a Bakumon.Your going to die over this game you must and I mean must get the best game in the whole entire world and other worlds like mars I heard the kids there love all video games and there all video game experts.let the virus Digimon be with you.

5-0 out of 5 stars Digimon World the best!
This game is cool. But if you want your Digimon to Digivole into a certain Digimon its kinda hard peapeles 5 in under might find it hard.Anyways this reminds me of the hit seris Digimon. Is not like just battling its like what they do in Digimon. ... Read more

4-0 out of 5 stars A great compilation with some flaws
Overall, this collection of Megaman games isn't too bad. There are a few flaws, but the good overshadows the bad.

Most people complain about the controls (with the B button being jump and A being fire). But if you're not giving this game a chance simply because of this, you've given up much too easily. I will concede that the controls should have been customizable, however, it doesn't take long to get used to this setup.

All eight classic Megaman games are here, along with two unlockable bonus games, Megaman Power Fighters and Megaman Power Fighters (previously released only in arcades). While the remixed music from the Playstation 2 version is absent, this version still has the "Navi Mode", which features hints and improved in-game weapon menu graphics for the NES games.

All the games play like their old selves, and while the graphics may be simple, the games are still a lot of fun. I recommend this to anyone who wants an old-school challenge or eight.

4-0 out of 5 stars Flawed
The games in this compilation are excellent. I am not concerned with how good this compilation is. I will just say that it is excellent. The games were badly ported. For one, the controls are messed up for the GC version. In the GC version, you cannot access the remixed music. You should still buy it, but if you have a PS2, that is the version you should get.

5-0 out of 5 stars Hard But So Rockingly FUN!!!!
Writer: Kole
Despite that Mega man anniversary collection is hard it's really cool! But it being hard is cool! My overall favorite dude is in mega man 8, the clown boss!

"this is no joky matter" and "You don't stand a chance" are his two beggining annoying lines! He says them in a really baby weenie way. Mega man anniversary collection also has two never released in the U.S. games, Tons of special feature stuff and tons of levels to explore!

I also like that in Mega man 8, you get bolts in the levels and can buy things!

After every boss you defeat you also get new attacks, for example, after defeating the clown boss you get the electro beam thing, mega man changes color and you can shoot a beam of electricifing destruction!

The power battles {games 9 and 10 I think, mybe just 9} You get to do two player, To any mega man fan or not, I highly recommend this kick butt game!

5-0 out of 5 stars Still Better Than a Lot of the 3D Platformers Out There...
The amazing thing about some older games is how well they age. Case in point--"Mega Man Anniversary Collection," a collection of Mega Man's 8 "Classic" series games, plus two unlockable arcade games that were never released in the U.S.

The formula for a "Mega Man" game is as follows: select a stage, defeat the boss, use their weapon to destroy some other boss, rinse lather, and repeat, until all bosses are defeated. Now, trek to Dr. Wily's fortress, go through the 3 or 4 stages there, and then meet up with a really huge robotic monstrosity at the end and defeat it. Now, try that for 8 games.

You know, viewing it as cut-and-dry as that, it seems like this might get tiring or even boring, but believe me, Capcom's little Blue Bomber manages to stay interesting and challenging all throughout the 10 different installments (though the arcade titles are a bit saccharine for my tastes). Considering the majority of these games were made ten to fifteen years ago, it speaks volumes on the integrity and experience that went into level design, character creation, and especially music. The older tracks may still be in their original 8- and 16-bit glory, but I dare you to listen to this masterful music and scoff. You'll be humming some of them the rest of the day, believe me.

These ports of the classic games run almost flawlessly, with most graphical glitches and flickering cut down to negligible or nonexistent levels. As far as changes go, there is now a hint-filled Navi mode for the first six games that eases younger or less-experiences players into Mega's big blue boots. You may use your shoulder buttons to flick through your special weapons' cache, a la "Mega Man"s 7 & 8, use in-game menus to manually save your game, or you can even dust off your old password notebook and use those to get right back to where you left these games years ago. One more interesting (and awfully helpful) feature is that a rapid-fire button has been added to your control set. Very handy indeed.

Also, one of the largest draws of this title, besides the classic gameplay stylings, are the unlockables that have been promised. Besides the aforementioned arcade games, original sketches of character art and remixed music can be unlocked after making certain amounts of progress through games. On the GameCube, you are also treated to a special unlockable video about the creation and history of Mega Man, complete with an interview with the creator himself, Keiji Inafune. On the PS2 version, I've been told you can unlock the first episode of the Saturday "Mega Man" cartoon show. Maybe we Kyoob owners did get a better deal here than the PS2 following...hmm...

But now comes the bad news. On the GameCube version (though I'm not sure this holds on the PS2), the button setup seems oddly reversed, and there is no option to change your control scheme. B is your jump button, and A fires your weapon. This makes no sense in the grand scheme of things, because it makes it very difficult to jump and fire at the same time, and due to the nature of the twitchy gameplay, the reversing of the buttons (and no option to change the settings) can get very, very frustrating. However, if you're willing to tough it out and face the fact that you won't get through those blasted snowboarding levels in "Mega Man 8" every time, you shouldn't slam your controller down too hard at the end of the day. Perhaps Atomic Planet should have taken a lesson from "Mega Man Network Transmission," and kept B as the traditional Fire button. At least that game got SOMETHING right.

Also, I noticed that some of the voice samples in MM8 (while--unfortunately--being as terrible as the originals) were either sped up or slowed down, for whatever reason. It's especially apparent in Aqua Man's voice--I mean, I knew it was high, but I don't think it was originally that high.

The look of these titles is spot-on with everything in the originals, which means if you want the graphical prowess that some games today offer (i.e. "Halo" or "Zelda"), take your money elsewhere.

The bottom line concerning MMAC: it's a collection of top-notch platforming titles that helped build Capcom's empire, a genuinely fun time-travel trip, and a worthy tribute to our buddy the Blue Bomber.

5-0 out of 5 stars At last, the good Mega Man!
Take it from me, Mega Man is not doing so good these days. This brings brings back the best moments he ever had. A lot of people are complaining about the controller, but you will get used to it. The only game not worth it is Mega Man 7. Also, a lot are complaining about the graphics. What do you expect from the orginal NES games (Exclude arcade and MM 8)?
In order to unlock the special features such as the hidden games or music, you need to get to a certain point in each of the eight games.
A good thing about this is that you can now set the game on easy instead of super hard.
It is so hard, it will rip your arm off and beat you with it. But if you put enough hours, you can win by instinct.
The game is so hard, I feel for you. Just click on my name and look for my e-mail at the bottom of about me. Send me an request and I will send you a guide for exposing the bosses weaknesses. Unless you actually know me, please do not put anything personal in the request. ... Read more

3-0 out of 5 stars Dissapointed
I own CMR03 and find it to be superior to CMR04. I don't think the graphics are better, and the soundtrack in CMR03 is more enjoyable. Save your money and purchase a used CMR03 and have fun. I rate McRae Rally 03 a full five stars, but this version 04 in my opinion is about three stars. The only thing I like about this product is the price.

5-0 out of 5 stars Real Rally Game
The best single player rally game I have played. If you're familiar with the WRC this game is the most realistic rally game out there. The multiplay does suck, but that's because real ralling is not run against other people, its run against the terrain and against the clock. If you like nascar ( driving in circles ) don't buy this game, if you like the WRC then this is the game for you.

5-0 out of 5 stars Great game for $20
At first, I was a bit scepticle of this game, being that it was $20. Normally, cheap games that are new suck. But this game is an exception. The graphics, amazing. The damage modeling is the best I have ever seen. When you are flying throungh the rain and you see little things like rain that goes to the top of the windshield, your jaw will drop. The gameplay is also great. If you do not choose the right car setup, your flying all over.Probably the only downfall of this game is that after beating all of the championships, it can get a little boring. The mutliplayer also isnt all that good. But this game still rocks. If you are arally fan, this game is a must buy.

5-0 out of 5 stars The best Rally by far
This game is excellent, I don't know what everybody complains about. This is the best Rally game so far that is out.It has excellent graphics and the realism is great. The course details are amazing as are the car details and the damage is realistic.I'd highly recommend this game for any racer and for the price, it's a steal.5 stars in my book.

3-0 out of 5 stars great graphics, but too slow
The graphics in this game are really good, and being able to play championship mode with two players is great, but the game takes entirely too long to load.$20 is a great purchase price, but save your money and wait for the new version of Rallisport (coming out 5/4/04). ... Read more

3-0 out of 5 stars Could Have bin better
At first, I never herd of James Bond. So Agent Under Fire was my first time seing Bond.

1. Graphics: Good but could have bin better. No faces on the Bad Guys BOOOOO

2. GamePlay: The only thing I like about story mode, is that, well...your bond.

3. Sound: Great just Great. If you have 5.1 in your house, then the sound on this game will rock your world!!!

In short, It is not the best but still cinda good.

1-0 out of 5 stars An insult to the world of bond.
I thought this game would be good. I was very wrong. It is terrible. It is the worst game i have ever played. It is a shame EA had to make this abysmal game. We have yet to invent a word or phrase in the english language to describe how painfully horribly terrible this game is.

Graphics: 0 out of 5

The graphics are extremely bad. It looks like a bad cartoon. Bond is NOT a cartoon! The guns look horrible. Every single one is automatic firing! Even the pistol fires like a machinegun! You also see lines of light go towards the people when you fire. The reloadings are quick and pointless. The PPK reloading is 3/4 of a second long. This game looks like a cheap imitation of a 1970s arcade game.

Gameplay: 1 out of 5

Extremely linear gameplay. You go forward in a strait line. Your objectives go along the path. There is absolutely no exploring to be done. The guards, when shot, go flying backwards like it's a bad steve seagal action movie. The controls are extremely hard and terrible. This game is not fun at all.

Sound: 1 out of 5

A baby with a rattle could make better sounds than what is in this game. The deutshe d5k sounds like a bad laser gun from outer space. All of the other sounds are muffled so you can't hear them and they all sound alike. The voice acting is okay, although there is almost no voice acting. You mainly here the grunts of baddies when shot. The only reason i'm giving sound a 1 out of 5 instead of a 0 out of 5 is because it actually has sound.

Multiplayer: 0 out of 5

It is so terrible that this game would've been better if they left it out. The movement and action is quick and stupid, and the maps and levels are small, linear, and painfully terrible. The horrible control scheme just makes it worse.

Lengthitivety: 0 out of 5

This game is so terrible that you will quit playing it before you are even half done with the first level.

Overall score: .4 out of 5

Wow. Four-tenths out of 5. That is pitiful.

Rent or Buy?

You shouldn't even waste your money to rent this game! It is so horrible. The reason EA probably made this game is just to make a few easy bucks. I will consider anyone who doesn't play this game to be a hero of the world.

This game is horrible. As I said earlier, we have yet to invent a word or phrase in the english language to describe how painfully horribly terrible this game is. If you want to play a good bond game, play goldeneye or nightfire. Those games are fantastic. The world is not enough is also good. But do yourself a huge favor and stay far away from this game. It is very bad. This game isn't bond. It is nothing to me.

5-0 out of 5 stars A good game, but VERY SHORT!
I found 007-Agent Under Fire a good game, but it was too short; just 5 hours long. The missions were fun, and you get to drive the tricked out James Bond cars with the machine guns and the rockets, and a whole lot of gadgets; the watch laser, and the list goes on. The missions are fun, especially when you are driving the Soviet T-80 and using the gaulting gun with the 80 MM gun barrell killing the bad guys. The missions take you all over the world to Romania, the UK embassy in Hungary, and the list goes on. A good game, but it could of been better.

2-0 out of 5 stars Playable
James Bond, as the N64 proved, has awesome potential for being made into a video game, with all the hi-tech gadgets, fast cars and innovative bad guys, why can't these guys make another great James Bond game? This game is, at best, mediocre, the graphics are fine, not great and not poor, just fine, sound is the same.

The missions are playable, if unrealistic, you just don't get the James Bond feeling from this game, it's really a waste of time.

Multiplayer can be fun however, not to the N64 Goldeneye limits, but good none the less.

2 Stars

4-0 out of 5 stars Wasn't the best, but it was pretty darn good!
This game wasn't that bad, it was pretty good. The single-player missions were good, and the multiplayer was great! The weapons and gadgets were really cool, plus they really helped you in a few missions. The weapons and gadgets were, of course, not as good as GoldenEye for the N64, though. The main reason I didn't give it five stars was because of the low replay value. Sure, the game was fun, but it is so easy to beat on all the difficulty levels, plus the good multiplayer doesn't really save this game. All of Electronic Arts' James Bond games have really low replay value (this game only has twelve extremely short missions), and that is one of the main reasons people prefer GoldenEye. Anyway, the car missions were pretty fun, plus the shooting was fun as well. It did get a bit repetitive. The music was also not too good for a Bond game. If you can overlook these problems, or you just really like 007/shooting games, you will like this game. But for die-hard gamers, shooting games for the XBOX that you will like include: Halo, Max Payne, and other games like that. Die-hard gamers will probably want to play long games that give tham a real challenge and make them think and use strategy. This game is mostly targeted at James Bond fans and I guess people that are new to shooting games might like this game, due to the easy difficulty level.

I'm not the best at gaming, but I'm pretty good. I gave this game a pretty high rating, though. That tells you that this game is pretty good, and experienced games may get a kick out of this game. The main reason people might buy/rent this game is that it's just 007. Well, I guess this game was pretty good. I probably don't recommend buying it, but it may be worth a rent. Try it out. ... 5-0 out of 5 stars Scooby Doo NIght Of 100 Frights GREAT GAME MAKES GREAT GIFT!
Any boy or girl of any age above 4 will love this game. It is suspensful, adventurous,
Now, it is not gory, nor very violent. Rated E for everyone.

5-0 out of 5 stars I love this game!!!We need more!!!
I absolutley love this game!!!It was more than I expected. It's fun, challenging, entertaining and addictive.Once you start playing this game you can't stop.We need more Scooby Doo games aside from this one and Mystery Mayhem........

4-0 out of 5 stars Fun and Silly Like the Cartoon
My son and I just finished this game It was fun. My nine year old and I played it together and it took us many hours over many days. He navigated and I did the harder moves. We beat the Mastermind and figured out the mystery and then we went back through to collect the Scooby Snacks we missed (other than a few hard to reach Scooby Snacks on "Wreck on the Deck 2.") My son loves going through the monster gallery over and over and I enjoyed returning to each area, finding new paths and looking for the missing stuff.

2-0 out of 5 stars I hate it
it is annoying to me, and the ending was a bomb, I wouldn't recomend anyone to buy this game

3-0 out of 5 stars Cute
I liked this game. There were things to figure out and places to wander. My only complaint is that I got stuck in the middle of the game and couldn't figure out where to go. It was a lot of fun though before that. ... Read more

4-0 out of 5 stars A decent game for cheap.
This game gets a bad rap that I don't quite understand. The performances by both Hamill and Stewart and great- the storyline is high energy- there are even some fun cameo appearances from various X-Men.

The stealth abilities of this game are its highlight, and collecting dog tags for downed soldiers through this mode is really fun.The levels are very long, though- and sometimes the bosses are unbelievably difficult.Saves are few and far between, making it stressful to replay levels- but overall, this is a really fun game, definitely worth the $10 you'll probably pay for it.

1-0 out of 5 stars Sad...Very Sad
This game is like the worst game ever made. I'm a really huge fan of stealth games, and other games that have a similar feel to this one. However, this game did horrible.

This is the sort of game where they tell you it all depends on stealth, but in the end, you can tell that: level "A" requires stealth tactics to reach a goal, but level "B" requires outright mayhem. Often if you make a small mistake, you're practically dead. Sure you regenerate some health, but it is painstakingly slow, and in at least one level you have to do without.

The stealth is also very clunky. You enter a sort of cutscene when you implement the move, and whereas this looks cool, the lack of control and longevity more often than not cause you to be seen by his buddy.

The actual "outright mayhem" part of the game is EXTREMELY poor. Though they try to implement a system of "special moves", the timing is hard to master and the chances to use them so few and far between that you often forgot the buttons you need to push (i.e. the controls are pretty crappy). Not to mention the lack of a tutorial really hurt the game, as it took me like 20 minutes to get out of the first room (I died twice before i figured out how to kill the first goons, and then it took another 10 minutes to figure out how to open the door).

Everything in the game is a bit choppy--but that doesn't mean that it isn't addictive. The game actually somehow still comes across as fun. I think you could actually overlook most of the faults, if you had the ability to save anywhere. Doing the same level over and over isn't my idea of a good game.

My recommendation is to rent it--don't buy it, not for any price above a rental price anyway.

2-0 out of 5 stars Some major flaws even Logan can't heal...
First of all, let it be known I am a big Wolverine fan (ask me to show you my Wolverine tattoo sometime...), so I may be too critical.

Things I was pleased about -- Mark Hamill (also known as Luke Skywalker, or the voice of The Joker in the Batman animated series)performs the voice of Wolverine...Very good! Patrick Stewart also handles the voice of Professor X.In general, the voice-overs of this game are fantastic, as is the storyline. However this is the best part of the game, and the rest really needs work.

I felt like I was playing a beta version of this game. As others have stated, there is a tremendous amount of clipping. Clipping is when people and objects suddenly fall through walls, get stuck, or inexplicably die. Also, the levels are VERY long, and there is no way to save during a level. So plan on spending 30 minutes navigating a level, and if you die, you are gonna need 30 minutes all over again...

The game is still very fun though -- I wish that Activision had taken more time to polish things up.

I hope there is a sequel planned, so they can address the issues and improve the Wolverine experience...

5-0 out of 5 stars This is one of the best games I EVER played
This game rocks. You will never find a better fighting/adventure game anywhere. The graphics are perfect, the controls are awesome and the story is cool. I've never had this much fun playing a super-hero game. I could play this game and beat it a million times and it would still be just as fun. They have finally made a Wolverine game that is true to the character. You really feel like you are Wolverine when you play this game. You can use his senses to pull of some bad-a$$ moves and you have truly devastating wicked combos that you can give your hated foes. The game is fun to play and the extras make it even better.

You can find alternate Wolverine costumes throughout the game. You can also find really cool info cards that feature all of Wolverine's friends and foes. You can even (this is the best extra) have your own custom soundtrack in the game. This makes the game so much better than any other fighting/adventure game because you can put in some tunes that really rock and fit well with Wolverine's battles.

Wolverine's Revenge is one of the best games on the X-Box. I would even say that it is one of the best games that I have ever played. If you love good fighting games and Wolverine you will love this game.

5-0 out of 5 stars Wolverine's Revenge
X2 Wolverine's Revenge os a wolverines solo adventure where you get to play the ultimate living weapon and world's toughest x-Men member. As the adventure unfolds, you have many choices to make. What tactics will you employ to succeed-Stealth or all-out action? where will use your heightened senses to find clues about how to progress? How will you overcome the tremendous odds facing you in your quest? How best to manage your accelerated healing factor and Feral rages? The choices are all yours to make, WOLVERINE!!

now this Game is cool for Wolverine's Fans or X-Men Fans it is better than Spiderman and one of the best activision Games, but some levels in the game gets harder.

In The Game:
*Unsheathe your your razor-Sharp claws, unleash lethal combo attacks and use accelerated healing powers as you tear into intense action and stealth scenarios.

*Enter the realm of senses, Using your heightened mutant senses to see scent particles and detect heat when tracking enemies.

*face off with Sabertooth, Wendigo, Juggernaut and Magneto, while Proffessor X and Beast Help you search for a cure.

well i still havn't finished the game and i'm Sure you will Have Fun Playing This Game. ... Read more

5-0 out of 5 stars Ubisoft MUST make a sequel for xbox360 someone send a letter
This is one of my favoirte games...period! I played this game originally on ps2 but I HATE my playstation and playstation in general and I waited for 3 years and finally by sheer luck I found it in my local game store and this was the first time i've EVER seen it for xbox so I grabbed it immedietly. This game offers practically limitless freedom and you become attached to the characters without ever realizing it. The game is a little hard but very fun and very unique. I love the storyline and I would love to see them make a sequel for xbox 360 but without taking away the cartoon style graphics just tweaking them. The combat is also really fun and her weapon is cool. The final boss at the end is hard ive been stuck on that last boss for 3 weeks and cannot win because it has a bunch of diffrent stages and theres even one where the controls go backwards and its HARD and the worst part for me is that I have NO health power-ups but quite a few hearts but with so many staghes I always die I havent beaten the backward stage yet so make sure you have lots of power ups when you get to the end. Dont let my problems stop you from buying this though becasue it is still one of my favorite games of all time.

5-0 out of 5 stars A Game Full of Wonder and Beauty
Wondering why this obscure game is so highly rated? It really is one of the most pleasurable experiences in gaming you can have.Every aspect is expertly done ( even the blips
+ bloops of minor sound effects are original and fun to listen to).The graphics, story, sound design, and gameplay leave almost nothing to be desired. The act of taking pictures of strange alien animals may sound lame, but even this a joy since the creatures are so breathtaking and well-designed.And there is much to do : fighting ( martial arts-style! ), reconnaissance, collecting, racing, vehicular combat, puzzle-solving, and even wagering on an air hockey-type (!) parlor game.Even the soundtrack will delight you when you hear the Latin, Eastern, or reggae music kick in at the appropriate time and place. To sum it all up, this is a game nearly every child or adult ( Eat your heart out Disney! ), male or female, can easily get the hang of and thoroughly enjoy.

5-0 out of 5 stars Best Action Adventure On Xbox
Beautiful. Simply beautiful. This might well be the best action adventure game in the history of the genre. (Certainly in the history of Xbox.)

Even though the name and cover didn't appeal to me at first -- when I popped the game into my console, it became clear to me from the lush, stylized graphics with their unmistakable french "flavor" alone that this game is special.

The production values are truely awesome. This applies not only to the graphics and animation, but also the musical score that would suit any James Cameron movie. You'll be discovering a variety of very imaginative environments that have all been designed with exceptional love of detail.

But what's most important, the story is superb and really really well presented. It starts of rather subtly, step by step drawing you ever deeper into the game world, always keeping you motivated to explore it more. By the time the dramatic tension really starts to build up, you are already helplessly in love with the protagonists and the alien world that they inhabit. You just have to keep playing until the fulminant climax.

Even tough the story is a told in a fairy-tale fashion, it has quite some depth and a lot to say. I always disliked Zelda because of the, in my opinion, clicheed and utterly silly
stories and dialogue ("Rescue the princess bla bla"). Not so BG&E! If you, like me, have been waiting for a game story that is light and entertaining but doesn't insult your intellect -- you just found it!

What adds to this is the way the different elements of the gameplay relate to, and support, the story. Everything makes complete sense in the game, creating a feeling of authenticity and purpose. It's all killer, no filler.

The level design is full of innovative ideas and will hit you with lots of great surprises and enthralling situations. Although there is no one single gameplay element that is genuinely new,
the way the game blends such a variety of different elements together seamlessly can be called a major innovation of its own rights. Everything in the game just "flows"... and your game character moves through this diverse world with precision and elegance. The game engine does a great job letting you forget about the controls, and just play.

BG&E combines the emotion and narrative intensity of the classic LucasArts adventures with the action and thrills of a 21st century console action game.

Given, the graphical style and low-violence mood may not match everybody's taste. [...]if what you see complies with
your viewing habits then this game is must-have for you.

5-0 out of 5 stars Another gem lost to time...
This game is fantastic.Go buy it.

I'm not going to waste your time by telling you things that you can read in the other excellent reviews here. It's a 5 star game, I think you can get that from all of the reviews here.I would just like to add to why you should buy this game...

In a world of sequels, games based from movies, games that have been rehashed and rehased comes some wonderful gems that get lost.Whether it's because they come out at bad times or because people would rather play Halo 2000 or similar game, actually creative and emotionally powerful games slip through the cracks. This is one such game.

I have been trying to get people to play this game for purely selfish reasons.I've seen too many games that actually warrant sequels get halted because no one buys them. This game has everything. It has characters you care about, a story that is interesting and socially relevent, action that is constantly changing so that you are doing many different things, actually humorous scenes and dialogue, and graphics that are stunning in both their fluidity and art direction.I remember loading this game, watching a beautiful cut scene that bled directly to the action and being surprised that I was actually playing.I just assumed it was a cutscene, it was so fluid.

I got this game at Christmas time a while back with a bunch of other games. When I started playing this one, I couldn't put it down.Normally, I'll switch between games if I have more than one.Not so with this game, I had to keep playing, had to figure out what would happen next.

It fills you with so much wonder and joy that you remember why it is you play games. And just like Ico before it, it gets ignored. If you want a game that is different from most, then please at least rent this game, give it a try. It's too good to keep going unnoticed.

5-0 out of 5 stars Pure Eye-Candy
Beyond Good & Evil is a platformer type game for the Xbox. You play a girl named Jade, whose world is being invaded by the evil aliens known as, "Doms". Even though there are platforming game elements (jumping puzzles, switches and hidden passageways), it plays and looks amazing! You can go hunting for orbs (money), go hunting for creatures, take photos (also pays money), race in your hovercraft, play alien mini-games, go shopping, upgrade your hovercraft, explore caverns or walk through the city, talk to characters, discover secret areas, and uncover an evil conspiracy. Your hovercraft is your primary means of transport which can of course travel and both land and water and is equipped with self-repair bots(limited) and laser cannon (unlimited). You'll fight against the most bizzare creatrures and they look awesome! Even the world looks awesome its a living, breathing world filled with alien inhabitants. You'll even see flying cars (think Bladerunner), futuristic building and exotic islands. The free-form gameplay (go almost anywhere, do almost anything) is what really makes this game shine! And the amazingly beautiful graphics is icing on this yummy game. If you like platformers or free-form gameplay go buy this game!

Pros:
+free-form gameplay
+amazingly, beautiful graphics
+day and night cycles
+excellent story
+exellent animation
+excellent controls
+excellent sound effects
+excellent voice-acting
+excellent music
+play mini-games

4-0 out of 5 stars It will make you crazy
This is a great game, I like the fact that you can save your game but don't be fooled by the small screen it is every bit as hard as the larger version.I have been stuck on level 15 of the Stragety level for weeks now.

5-0 out of 5 stars You Must Buy This GAME
Absolutely love it!!!Not only the classic game play but three other game modes.Relapse pretty darn hard, Strategy great game play, and puzzle now this is lots of fun.Great game for killing time at appointments, at the airport, or just not wanting to mow the lawn.Five Stars!!!!

4-0 out of 5 stars Action puzzle gaming in your pocket
I love games that have a simple premise and few rules - games you can just pick up and play. That perfectly describes this game.A new line of blocks is added to the stack every second or two (more quickly as the game gets harder).Select a block that has 2 or more identical adjacent blocks and they disappear and you get points. The more blocks that disappear at one time, the more points you get. When the blocks get to the top, you lose.

The game gets difficult quickly as new rows of blocks start to be added quickly by level 5 or 6.By level 10 you have to get 100 new lines to clear the level and they are coming even more quickly. At least when you lose you are able to restart the game on that level.Help is provided by black bombs which destroy all the surrounding blocks, and colored bombs which will destroy every identically colored block on the stack. There is some strategy to when you want to select blocks to remove them, sometimes it might be best to wait for more blocks to be added, and you have to pay attention to what is above that might fall on what's below.

Super Collapse has been available on the web for quite a while to play on a PC or Mac.If you have played that original, the GameBoy version is a bit more difficult when you have to pick blocks by moving the cursor around a block at a time instead of clicking with the mouse on the block you want to pick.Pointing the mouse is much easier to get to the block you want to choose.

The one mark against this game is that it doesn't save or keep high scores. There is a password that are given after 5 levels (and maybe every 5 after that - don't know - haven't gotten that far) but passwords are lame - Majesco, spring a few cents for saving next time.

5-0 out of 5 stars Love this game
This is a great game for Adults. I can't wait for more puzzle games to come out. I just received this and Bookworm and both are great games for my Gameboy advance.

5-0 out of 5 stars As good as the PC version
My wife and I have been playing the PC version for about a year now (well, mostly my wife) and I have to say that it works excellently on the GBA. I even find it a lot more fun for some reason. One way that it is better: you can get a code that automatically starts you at a higher level. Most of the puzzles in Puzzle Mode are different than the PC version, too, which is good because I'd solved all the PC ones.

Our kids (age 7 and 5) like it, too, but I think I've played it the most, while my wife sticks with the PC version. It's too bad we only have two GBAs because now the three "kids" (including me) are fighting over them in the car. I might have to buy a second copy and a 3rd GameBoy for family harmony. ... 4-0 out of 5 stars A Sloan Bishop Review
MKT is all of the charactors from MK 1,2 and 3 with 3's story. If you like the old school games, you'll love this one.

Pros:
*Features over 30 charactors.
*Has many fun codes and cheats.

Cons:
*Very outdated graphics(that's a given).
*Very, VERY hard to beat.
*No secret charactors to unlock.

5-0 out of 5 stars Whoo Hoo!!!
I found this game really awsome.I suggest anyone to buy this game if you are mature enough, and can handle a little blood.

5-0 out of 5 stars This game was almost perfect.
I did not own this game for Playstation, I owned it for PC. But they are exactly the same.

After an upgrade past windows 95, this game never would work on my PC again. But I have thought about getting the Playstaion for this game (or a rom, shhhh)

This game combined mortal kombat's 1, 2, 3 and another version, I forget the name into the one game. And that was a great move. Finally all the charactors where playable in the one game, even hidden charactors where findable like a cool charactor named Chameleon who was a ninja, but kept changing, he'd morph into scorpion, sub zero, reptile, rain ect...

All the charactors where there. But not all the backgrounds where, a few where missing. What made this game the best was turning on one button fatality isntead of memorising thousand step codes that wouldnt always work. You's just go to the options menu and hold Up, and the block buttons or something and it would let you access a secret option menu where you could select the cool cheats. One button fatalitys was the best, you could press one button when it said finish to do the finisher 1, 2, freind shipm animality ect.. this is still my favorite MK game. I have rated it here because the N64 version sucked and was not a trilogy, it was MK3 with a few extra charactors.

5-0 out of 5 stars MORTAL KOMBAT MAGNUM OPUS!!
Mortal Kombat Trilogy has everything a Mortal Kombat fan could ever ask for!All of the characters from MK I, II, III, and UMK III, all the fatalities, all the stages, an enhanced CD soundtrack (the music for the Rooftop/Pit III is the best tune!)I used to play this a lot with my one friend who lives in New York and he is the only other person who can beat me at Mortal Kombat.I'm undefeated against anyone else who challenges me.My favorite characters are Scorpion (GET OVER HERE!), Sub-Zero, Raiden, Kintaro, and Shao Kahn. The MK movie was good but it's sequel, Anniahlation sucked donkey balls. That was random, but oh well. This is a must-buy PS1 or PS2 game that is hard to find right now and a purchase that you won't regret.I still want MK: DA or MK:DE, but I will never ever sell this game!It didn't even cross my mind when I got a PS2 and sold my PS1.Don't listen to anything anyone says about this game not working on PS2 because it's not true.If you experience any problems it is because you need to turn off the Texture Smoothing and Disc Speed options that are unnecessary for this game which has great graphics on its own and fantastic music that runs at a normal speed.Buy this game! :)

4-0 out of 5 stars MK wraps up the 2D era pretty well
Mortal Kombat Trilogy was a great game. It, obviously compiles all of the first three MK games in one package and it's made even better with the one button fatalities, animalities, babalities, brutalities, and the friendships. I heard also, that you can also, for the first time play as my favorite charactar, Shao Kahn. The only problem, I feel I must warn you is that the game is as hard as Hell. This is pretty much the only problem with the 2D Mortal Kombat games. So, if you're in for a challange and you are a Mortal Kombat fan like I am, you might want to pick this up. ... Read more

5-0 out of 5 stars I love this game!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I love this game because it is fun and very challening. You really have to think for some of the parts, because they are tricky. I love the jungle scenes, they look so cool. The graphics are very nice too. Alot of the levels are hard, though. It's really cool how there is a talking jaguar! The enemies are mostly the natives. You see them alot but if you sweep kick them once or twice, they are usually dead. This game isn't violent either. This is the best game ever to walk this Earth!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

2-0 out of 5 stars Vision
The graphics for this game are WAY too dark.My family couldn't see well unless we had our face right up to the screen. Not for those who value their eyesight!
What we did play(before accruing a giant headache) was fun and interesting; but no one in the family can see the game well enough to play it.
For this reason, I don't recommend this game.Save your money!

4-0 out of 5 stars Solid platformer
We have a problem. We expect too much out of games. We expect every new platformer to somehow revolutionize the genre. This is why Pitfall has received little acclaim; it tries nothing new. And you know what? That's okay. Sometimes a simple romp in the jungle can bring hours of fun, which is exactly what you'll get if you just like straight platform action without having to deal with level objectives and collect-a-thons and "clever" takes which ultimately go bad. Pitfall stays true to its roots, packs a lot of charm, and is fun to the very end. Unfortunately, the end is sooner than I would like. This shortness, and a few bugs in the game, cause me to knock a star out, but I still highly recommend Pitfall as a weekend rental to adventure/platform fans.

4-0 out of 5 stars My kids and I love it!
This is one of our family's favorite.

5-0 out of 5 stars AWESOME!!

5-0 out of 5 stars Refreshing fun with a retro character
While the gameplay may not be the most ground breaking, the fun factor behind this game is great. The cartoonish atmosphere and the characters will make kids and adults alike smile throughout the game. Whether it's Harry's wit, the damsels in distress, the talking animals or the "oooga booga" natives, the humor and the story work well together, as well as keep challenging and fun gameplay through 50 levels.

If you are looking for a technology reveloution, look elsewhere. If you are looking to have mindless entertaining fun, this is your game. You will find yourself smiling throughout.

3-0 out of 5 stars Ok,but has been done.
This is just another Mario, Crash Bandicoot game. It's ok I guess but if you've played these other games, you'll see what I mean. You just go from level to level, aquiring items to alow you do do certain things and make certain moves. It's ten dollars less than most new games, that's good.I was hoping it would have more of the feeling of the old Pit Fall.I loved the old one, and it was simple. Don't get me wrong, I love the new technology, but I think they could have done better. You do get to unlock the origional games on the Xbox version. I haven't done it yet, but that might make it worth something. The character in this game is like a cartoon character, not a real person, it's more geared towards children.
Now the real down side, there are too many glitches. Some stunts you are supposed to be able to perform don't always work.Sometimes you fall into places an it freezes up.
The upside: I do like games where you can rotate the camera all the way around, and this one does it.You don't easily fall off things and die, even if you do fall, you can fall a great distance and not die.You can escape from the jaws of crocodiles. You life meter is pretty long giving you a lot of oportunity, and a reserve canteen makes it easier, both of these can be added to as you go.You don't really have to fight big bosses at the end of levels like in other such games. The graphics are good for the cartoon like game that it is.It's an ok game.Rent it first and see if you like it.Younger players may get a hoot out of it.

5-0 out of 5 stars Pitfall Harry is the man
I got a chance to play through a demo of this game and really enjoyed it. I grew up playing the original Pitfall on the Atari 2600 and even the mediocre Sega Genesis version, but this new developer (Edge of Reality) really "gets" the game. Pitfall does not take itself too seriously, but it really is a seriously good action/platformer game. You'll have fun, and so will your kids. It's a title the whole family can sit down and play. Go ahead, take it for a swing. :-) ... Read more

5-0 out of 5 stars I have really fond memories of Siren.
I took a risk and bought Siren even though I had read many conflicting reviews. I really enjoyed playing this game. However, baring the assumption that you can foresee the future, I wouldn't even dream of recommending this game without a guide. The puzzles and items that you are some how magically supposed to solve are absurd. If you don't heed this warning you will waste hours of backtracking through unforgivably hard levels to get them (after you magically figure out that you forget to grab them in the first place). In fact, completely ignore the fact that there are puzzles (use a guide) because it is hard enough to survive getting from point A to point B. Also, the voice acting isn't that bad the first time you hear it (as bad as using American accent to translate, instead of leaving in Japanese with subtitles), it is that it becomes grating because you will die and have to hear it again and again. Oh yeah, you will get killed by snipers repeatedly, so a great deal of patience is needed to get through this game.

I liked everything else about Siren. It is the first survival horror game since the original Silent Hill (original designer of Silent Hill worked on this title) that really felt sprawling and immersing. The Shibito and incarnations of fallen characters are creepy as hell. The visuals are superbly minimal which makes them far more effective and ethereal. The false "heavy metal" ending was really funny. So if you have enjoyed any of the Silent Hill series and always wished they were a little longer, a little more threatening and more challenging give this title a chance.

Again, don't bother with attempting to figure out the puzzles on your own.

4-0 out of 5 stars Siren review
If there is one word that I would use to describe this game that word would be "unique." Now, all my video games are mostly encoded American and I do not own a converter or a Japanese playstation and there might be some Japanese titles out there that can be compared to this game, but as far as I know, in this country, a game like this showing up is a rare phenomenon. It most definitely has many similarities with other Japanese titles released in America, such as Silent Hill and Fatal Frame, where you got a town that is always enshrouded by fog and has recently been overrun by some malign, transcendental force that was stirred awake by a small, obscure cult.

You play as several different characters who have survived a major earthquake and a tsunami of blood. Trapped on a rock that was once a part of the mainland, survivors of the disaster are shocked to discover that now the town is surrounded by a sea of red water where a siren beckons the dead. People who die here become the un-dead and the water can even sustain the life of a fatally wounded person.

Each character you play is given mission objectives for each level, which you must tediously solve not just by killing, but by puzzle solving. The puzzles throughout the game were so hard I had to resort to using walkthroughs on the internet for about 50% of the gameplay. You must rely on cunning and wit in order to survive, using what the game calls "The Sightjack" feature, which each character is equipped with from being exposed to the blood water, where you can literally place yourself within the bodies of your enemies and see through their eyes. This helps you determine their position, and you often have to wait around to see if that guy with a gun guarding the exit will ever turn around so you can zip across the field and make it to the next level. Not a game for everyone. There are many hand to hand combat scenarios and some shoot them dead action, but...nothing like Resident Evil where the violence is non-stop. Bullets are so scarce and the monsters so numerous, your only way to survive is to simply use your wit and maintain your cool.

I thought it was laziness on behalf of the developers to only include a handful of levels which you play again and again, only as different characters with different objectives. And this whole thing with HAVING to play every level a second time to complete a extended version of the first objective, such as, "Instead of making your way straight to the exit, you must find someone's shoe first." I mean, this is just ridiculous! You have to re-visit every level to complete some extended version of the original objective in order to unlock new levels, which aren't really new!

Now, one major trait this game has is that the graphics are visually stunning. The fog looks real. The trees and landscape is very detailed. The person you play as and even the people who follow you around move like real human beings. The face animation of characters during gameplay and cut scenes are so vivid you can visually determine what the characters are feeling or thinking. Their mouths as they talked were off-beat, but that is the case with most games. Sound effects are alright. I thought the music of choice was on cue. Voice acting was pretty good, although I never knew so many Japs had British accents.

The story is somewhat overdone. You can relate this game to so many others story-wise. But...there is enough here to keep the mind entertained. This is most definitely worth the buy for horror enthusiasts. Some scenes and parts of the game were truly disturbing and unexpected. It gets really involving toward the end as you see your characters sacrifice their own lives to save others. Also, this game is not for someone who cannot stand the sight of children in extreme, dangerous situations.

I thought it was a shame that the game's two endings were campy. With all that build up, I expected something really extraordinary to happen, but was not a bit surprised that such was not the case.

So, some disappointment and some good traits. For horror and morbidity alone, I rate this game 4 stars.

5-0 out of 5 stars AWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWSOME
You HAVE TO try this game, one of the best Horror survival games I have EVER played.

5-0 out of 5 stars A hard hard hard hard but great game
If you want a game that will last as long as GTA then get this. The story is actually quite amazing to say the least but you will be in it for the long haul.

There are several maps and over twelve characters that meet in the story at different times. It is like Silent Hill but slower as you are not given great weapons to defeat the enemy. Instead you have the power of second sight. You do things in the map that are for the characters benefit and to set up something for another character who will arrive there later. The story is sort of like Pulp Fiction in that all the characters finally meet as you take them through the story.

It is very very very difficult and very easy to die but there is a method to the game and once you manage to use the second site to run around the place so that the monsters do not see you it gets a lot easier.

Stick with it, but this is by no means an out-of-box couple of days game play. It is more like twenty minutes a day for the next 12 months.

Addictive but slow.

2-0 out of 5 stars DONT BE STUPID, DONT BUY
This game is a verybad horror game. Its controls are terrible and when you kill zombies, they come back up, no way to kill them. An interesting plot but confusing as hell in the begining. I wasted 40 bucks on this game, dont do the same, wait till it hitsbargain baskets. THIS GAME IS SUPER DIFFICULT AND ANNOYING. My friend and I played one level for over 2 hours when it was a 20 minute level, we kept dying. No grenades or machine guns. Just a revolver, poker (yes a fireplace poker), a wrench, and a pilgrim gun. The zombies in this are amazing marksman with thier sniper rifles, which seems f*cking stupid to me. anyways, if u wanna waste ur time/money, buy this. if not, buy silent hill or resident evil 4 (amazing game!!!!) ...
