Editorial Review Young gamers will love the bright, colorful graphics in this game, which is 2-D with some 3-D foreground and background elements. Kirby isjoined by plenty of friends who will aid in his quest to recover thepieces of an important shattered crystal. While the levels are a bit too easy for older gamers, the gameplay inKirby 64 is original enough to entertain all ages. Kirbystill has an appetite for enemies, sucking them up and spitting themout, but he can also swallow them, inheriting abilities such as fireand cutter. Also, Kirby can now combine enemy powers, often withhilarious results. For instance, electricity plus stone turns Kirbyinto an electrifying little light bulb. Sure, you don't need to use allthese powers, but they're still fun to play with. --Robb Guido Pros: Reviews (95)

Amazon.com Review The story in Tigger's Honey Hunt starts with Pooh, who is planning agrand party. But he can't begin to plan the bash without knowing that he hassufficient honey for his guests to enjoy. Bouncing along in his own inimitableway, Tigger pledges to help Pooh locate enough honey pots to get the party offthe ground. Crisp backgrounds, colorful worlds, and superb animation make this a fun rompthrough the Hundred Acre Woods. Gameplay mechanics are straightforward and aimedat the right demographic. For anyone but kids, however, this game plays too short and doesn't have enoughindividual play modes (little kids love to play the same game over and over, soa short game doesn't matter much to the under-8 crowd). The title misses PaulWinchell's deft voice-over talent, but there's only so much data that you canfit on a Nintendo 64 cartridge. Tigger's Honey Hunt really knows what it wants to be: a kids' game. Assuch, it succeeds in providing a darned good--if short--time. --ToddMowatt Pros: Reviews (12)

Amazon.com Review The biggest addition is the revert, which when combined with the manualintroduced in the previous game, lets players string together some amazing vertand grind combos. Once again, every ledge you see in the game is grindable, andthe massive levels are packed with switches, hidden areas, and other secretsthat will take months to fully explore (and exploit). Things are a little on the chunky side graphically, but that's to be expected.Regardless, the animation is smooth and the frame rate stays high despite theenormous and complex environments this game lets players explore. The eclecticsoundtrack--which features acts ranging from the Ramones to Del the FunkyHomosapien--is another highlight, but it's still the Zenlike feeling you getfrom chaining together combo after outrageous combo that keeps you coming backfor more. --T. The graphics are great, one of n64's best graphics yet, especially for a motocross game, but annoying little graphics glitches sometimes appear which is a shame, otherwise the graphics are smooth and nice on the eyes. Just the little graphic glitches which decrease its score to 4.5/5. The sound is pretty good, the music through out the game is easy enough to cope with. As for the sound effects, they are what you would expect from an extreme game. You hear yells when you ride off a cliff, you can hear the irrating motorbike noise as you race, you can hear thumps when you hit the ground hard. The only complaint about the sound is that the comentator's speech is a little repetitive, but otherwise you can get rid of the comentator. 4/5 The controls are not very good at times your bike just goes any random direction. The reason why the game is hard is due to the control. Otherwise its pretty easy to pull of tricks, however there could have been a better job on the control. 3.5/5 The fun factor is pretty good, you can race your friends on which ever tracks you have completed, and you can verse them on most of the special tracks which you can get by winning certain stages. The special features include the "desert" where you just race to a fire and then race to the next fire, no multiplayer for this. "stunt course" is a course where you can challenge your friends or yourself in performing as many stunts to get as many points. "original excitebike" is a feature you get by completing the tutorial. Its just the super nintendo version of excitebike. "soccer" is a feature were you verse your friends in soccer on a bike. "hill climb" is were you verse your friends or yourself up a steep hill. "excite 3d" is a really good fun race course. The main fun factor in this game is the create a track mode. While there may be many features, this game doesn't have many great features. 4/5 The replay value is great, and probably the most effective thing about the game. You will want to keep racing on those very nice outdoor/indoor tracks. 5/5 The main things which bother me about this game is that it could improve 1. Contain more stunts i mean 15 stunts isn't much for a motocross game. 2. Make it that you can control the time limit for the stunt course, i mean 2 minutes, c'mon. 3. Make the controls easier. The main highlights of the game is the create a trak mode which allows you to create a track, the high replay value and the very interesting outdoor tracks.
Overall its a fantastic game. ... Read more | |

Amazon.com Review EA Sports has added some new playability features, such as collectable MaddenCards for fulfilling certain tasks in the game. The Madden Cards can be tradedwith friends, using the Nintendo 64 memory card, and can be used to unlocksecret game codes, players, stadiums, and legendary NFL teams. The new two-minutedrill feature allows up to 10 players to compete for the highest score. But Madden NFL 2001does have some trouble in a couple of areas. The CPUhas a problem with clock management when it is behind with time running out;sometimes it will fail to call a time-out and let the clock expire at the halfor at the end of the game. Madden himself sounds a little run down in this gameas he only has a few phrases and he says them over and over and over. The crowdnoise and the cheers are not very well done and can get annoying. Despite its few flaws, pound for pound this is the best NFL football title evermade for the Nintendo 64. --Todd Mowatt Pros: Reviews (27)
The two minute drill is a fun game which you play. The object is to score as much points as you can in two minutes.(Play for personal goals) You get three time outs and you never play defense. When you play two minute drill the smartest thing to do is to throw deep passes close to out of bounds. After you play this for a while you will notice that you have goten better at the game and that the plays you do most often on two minute drill usually will be the you will do most often in real game because you have goten used to the plays. Sorry about not going into details to the non-likers of franchise fans. Franchise mode is only allowed for 30 years and depending on how good of a gm you are it can take a short period of time or an hour an off-season and season. (Dont watch or coach games or else stats in the game are really messed up and the game starts to become less and less realistic)To begin the game you will have either a full 42 round draft with some players left out at the end or just get your favorite team with all the players it had that year. First year you do not handle contracts in the beginining and theres no pre-season but after you've played your first game you have total control over your franchise by controlling your budget in a wise way. Before each game it's has ratings it gives for each team saying which team has a better secondary defensive line or better qb and a lot more. Before you go to your schedule you will see screen you have the ability to go and they are stats which has coach team stats, individual stats, team standings, and team rankings. The one under that is leauge news which has all-madden team, and All-Rookie team, league transactions, injury reports, team schedules, pro bowl voting, yearly awards, and player awards. Another link is manage rosters which has Player management, roster breakdown, depth chart, trade, sign player, re-sign player, and release player. Then the record book link has individual, team, and coaching records. Settings has gameplay, penalty settings, sound options, and control configuration. Last one is franchise set-up which has coach set-up and team set-up. Anyway off with the boring things and on with the exciting things. Which gets us going into talking about the play-offs. The way you get in the play-offs is the exact same way you into the play-offs in real football. During the play-offs the players will play their butts off until there are only two teams left. And when there's two teams left there is a super bowl. Simply making it to the play-offs has a huge effect on your resame with the same to every game you play in the regular season but if you could win a super bowl with your team you practically can get any job you want unless you go 0-16 the next season. When your hired as a coach(gm)you get to make all the descisions thankfully in this game there are no Jerry Jones, George Steinbrener buting in to your desicion.(But I dont think in any game Jones or Steinbrener buts in????????????)Anyways if you get fired the only options you have is to turn off your nintendo or hope you have a good enough resame to impress some president.(Not of a country!)By the way make sure you dont blow off your money because if you do you'll be put in such a bad situation that if one person gets injured you'll have to blow off your job.Uh-oh I got to go sorry.

It's basically a N64 with Pokemen Stadium. Includes: 1. A complete N64 GamingSystem Now I would like to remind you that just a N64 with 2 controllers is going to cost you the same as this bundle. So basically you're getting a N64 and Game/Game accessories at the same price as only a N64. Pokemon Stadium is very much like a pokemen battle on a gameboy. Except that it's in a stunning 3d envirement, with all the effects in realistic rendering. It makes a great addition to any pokemon fans collection. Overall however, it's only a mediocre game. But since you're getting it for free, I think it's a good deal isn't it? Especially since there are people who think it's the best, and buying it stand-alone will cost $40. Bottom Line - If you're getting a N64, this is the best bundle you can get.
