5-0 out of 5 stars A Great Game
This is a real great game, even though it can be challenging at times. It is pretty easy to control, and all teams have thier own playbooks which is pretty cool. Another feature is that you can pick teams from different years. For example, you can play with the 1970 New York Giants. This game is a must buy, as all the Madden football games are.

4-0 out of 5 stars too many controls, too little time
Madden '99 controls colorful play-by-play, tremendous graphics, a wide variety of plays, and too many damn controls for its own good. Also, good luck completing a pass, the computer's secondary is way too tight.overall, it's too hard! ... Read more

5-0 out of 5 stars Excelente 5 stars
Detallazo Konami.

The best of the best, an increible game of futbol (soccer), if you like the futbol, you love ISS 2000, buy it, the FIFA series is child's things. The game have an option in spansh, for the most fanatic soccer's fan, here en South America. Thanks Konami.

5-0 out of 5 stars THE BEST FUTBOL GAME EVER CREATED

5-0 out of 5 stars best soccer game out
the game play is better then any game out, the graphics much improved over the last version. It does not have the real names of players like fifa does but the game play is much better and more realistic.

5-0 out of 5 stars A great new version of a great game!
This most recent version of ISS is by far the best. The most noticable improvements are the AI and (if you have an expansion pak) the graphics. The AI is much improved over '98 and the graphics with the expansion pak are amazing. They've added just enough to the old version without ruining the playability and fun that are trademarks of ISS.This a wonderfully well designed game!

5-0 out of 5 stars International star soccer pro 2000
The Champion of Champions! The Maradona of the soccer video games, Konami, has done a wonderfull job with the ISS 2000. I just got it, and is the best soccer game, I own 12 soccer games,(Snes)(N64)(Dreamcast) and this is so far the best game. You have alot of teams to choose from, English or Spanish audio, create your own league, player. Rumble pack. To describe this game in two words? Pure Futbol ... Read more

5-0 out of 5 stars Rockin Game
this is a great game and it is very fun. It has great graphics and the music is pretty good too. Although this team does not have the Titans it is very good. You can watch two teams play or you can play with four people or by yourself. Even though this game is old it still has Brett Favre from the Pacers as their quarterback and if you like the jets this game has vinny testiverdi and curtis martin. If you like the Giants this game has Amandi Toomer. This game is also good because you can create teams in which i enjoy doing and you can create players. You can play with the eguinas which is a good made up team. By the way in this game it is pretty hard to make a field goal and sometimes your opponent comes back to win in the end of the game (this really ticks me off). Anyway it is a good game.

5-0 out of 5 stars Perfection
I personally think that this game is a pure calssic. It has big hits and realistic hard football action. I have this game and it is definiteley a must have!!

4-0 out of 5 stars Almost Perfect
This game has unbelievable graphics combined with great lasting appeal. one minor detail you can't pass easily, heres a tip forget passing pick a passing shotgun play and run with the quaterback up the right sideline and use stiff arm to get atleast a first down almost garunteed,in one game only I got over 300 yards with steve young. other than thisinteresting abilaty the game is perfect

5-0 out of 5 stars This game rocks!
I personaly love this game. The graphics are amazing, it has bone crunching hits, and excellent play books. The people are reaLy cooL and there faces are realistic. I would recommened this game for everybody in America.I love my world and everyone in it. Peace and good will to all myhomies. Peace out bro's!

2-0 out of 5 stars Why acclaim should fix it's little so called football...
First of all, acclaim spends so much money working with Iguana to create a GOOD fottball game. The only thing good about the football games are that they contain cool pictures, and good (not always) chosen ratings. Why thehell would anyone play NFL 1999, if there is a game called Blitz out? Mysuggestion is that you should all get Dreamcast, and buy NFL 2000. If youwanna play REAL football, Kick the iguana, and blast the acclaim, and getinto some Electronic Art Material. ... Read more

4-0 out of 5 stars Very Good
It's very good, many levels,an excellent 3D Picture, but a little hard for little Kids. But overall,it's very good for kids about 9 Years old and up.

4-0 out of 5 stars Great for Kids!
This is a colorful, cartoony adventure game that is fun for parents to play with their kids. As a straightforward adventure there are tons of funny characters and mini-puzzles to keep players interested, with plenty of Blues Brothers' music as well! Recommended!

4-0 out of 5 stars Surprisingly Good
For devotees of cartoonish platformers like Mario 64 and Banjo-Kazooie, this game is a welcome surprise. There are plenty of Zelda-like puzzles, goofy opponents, and large,maze-like rooms to explore.Control is verysimilar to BK.Goodies such as coins, notes, and keys add a nicenon-linearity to the gameplay. The scenery and character appearance is notquite as beautiful as Zelda or a Rare game, which is why I've knocked thisdown one star. But this is a small point about a very good game.

5-0 out of 5 stars This game is the best! It is really thrilling!

2-0 out of 5 stars Theres nothing amazing about this game
The graphics are nothing, there are much better baseball games with much better graphics than this title. The only thing I thought was cool and challenging about this game was scenario mode. Other than that everything about this is terrible, the batter control, pitching, anything you can think of. Has Konami ever made a good sports game? No I bet not, they better stick with action games or their reputation might be as good as dead, this was made a while ago but it is still pretty bad, if you are still playing N64 I suggest you get one of the All-Star Baseball games, they are pretty good, or should I say they were good for their time. ... 5-0 out of 5 stars Enjoyable
I got this game two weeks after it came out. At first i was nostalgiac of the first game, i liked the first game more. But after I got over that, i noticed how fun this game was compared to the first game. Each level was harder and more complex than the first. And even though there are only 8 levels, compared to the 10 in the first, it took me longer to beat this one. The graphics, i have to admit, were very impressive for a sixty-four bit console. The game itself was very hard and challenging, but in a good way. This was the right way to make a sequal.

4-0 out of 5 stars Feels different from Banjo-Kazooie
Even though this is the direct sequel to the Rare 1998 classic Banjo-Kazooie, and features much of the same gameplay and similar characters, I think that it just feels like a different game. It seems almost as different from Banjo-Kazooie as Donkey Kong 64 or Conker's Bad Fur Day does. The game just emanates a completely different atmosphere. I guess it's a combination of very different music, different moves, and new characters. Kudos to Rareware on that. People usually like a game that play the same as another game but feels different. I mean, it's a different game, isn't it? Who likes a game that plays AND feels the same?

Ah well. Banjo and Kazooie's final N64 adventure takes them to the world beyond the valley in which they live in. It's a large world, larger than the cavern that Gruntilda calls her lair. The levels really aren't that much larger than the mammoth world featured in Banjo-Kazooie or even Donkey Kong 64, but it's amazing how Rare has fresh ideas even after creating over a dozen massive levels for the two aforementioned games. Ah well. The difficulty level of Banjo-Tooie seems to be tougher. It's sometimes harder to figure out what the heck to do for certain Jiggies, and there are so much more stuff to find this time around. Not only are there jiggies, but there are also: Jinjos, Cheato pages, honeycombs, and everybody's favorite notes! The massive amount of extra moves can also get overwhelming. Boss fights, which were MIA in Banjo-Kazooie are now here, and in every stage. The extra modes of play are a nice change to the typical Banjo-Kazooie formula. I haven't had a chance to play as Kazooie without Banjo, but I did get to control Mumbo. It wasn't really as I had expected, but fun nonetheless. The 1st-person shooter mode was obviously a chance to cash in on the successes of GoldenEye and Perfect Dark, but they were actually well done. The 1st-person shooter level in Mayahem Temple freaked me out, but hey. It's all about atmosphere.

Rare has always been good at having distinct "tastes" to their games. I suppose what helps them are their awesome musical staff. Although the music in Blast Corps got on the nerves of some people, it definitely added to the feel for it. The somewhat-like-variations of the Bond theme in GoldenEye gave that game a unique feel. So on and so forth. Banjo-Tooie had good music that adds to its different mood, but it just didn't feel as excellent as Rare's fantastic score for Banjo-Kazooie. Maybe that's a good thing. Having the Gobi's Desert tune stuck in your head for hours is not exactly a pleasant experience. As far as sound effects go, Banjo's deep utterance for every jump is JUST NOT RIGHT! Argh! I can't stand it. Oh well. It's a good game nonetheless.

5-0 out of 5 stars Banjo-Tooie: Best+Most Fun Game Ever!!
They started out in Banjo-Kazooie as "not well-known and REALLY strange main charaters", but in Banjo-Tooie, that bear and bird duo really caught on as enjoyable and fun guys to have in a video-game.
Banjo, the "slightly out of it" honey bear and Kazooie, the cheeky breegull started out in their previous game having Grunty, the evil witch, as their enemy because she wants to steal Tooty, Banjo's sister, in order to get her beauty. But in Banjo-Tooie, she doesn't really want to steal anyone's beauty, she is MAD and WANTS revenge!!! Chasing through Grunty's lair learning "novice moves" from Bottles, the mole, was simply a "kindergarden" learning experience compared to the "high school" more "advanced moves" from Bottles' brother JamJars.
In Banjo-Kazooie, the good shaman Mumbo-Jumbo, assisted the bear and bird by turning them into an alligator, a pumpkin, etc., ect. But now, Humba-Wumba steps in to take his place. Mumbo still helps you in B.T., only this time, YOU control him! Navigate Mumbo around looking for things to do and your also able to almost "evaporate" enemys with your Mumbo-staff!
Earlier in this review I mentioned Bottles' brother JamJars. Drill-Sargent JamJars teaches the Banjo-Kazooie team different moves and abilities to help you defeat bosses, harmful lava, quick-sand, toxic waste, and anything else that might kill you. You also learn how to use special pads that let Banjo and Kazooie split up!
With it's great grafix, great charater cast, long game-play time and plot [it took me about two or three days worth of gameplay to win], improved plot worlds and sub-worlds, better theme music [not that B.K.'s music was bad], I rate it "THE BEST GAME EVER MADE FOR THE N64 AND BEST GAME OF ALL [the second best game is and was B.K.]." I give Banjo-Tooie 5 GOLD STARS!!! :D Great job, Rare* and Nintendo*

4-0 out of 5 stars Better than the original
I recall the first one being my favorite game in second grade. It was fun, and I was a fan of the voices, noises and levels of the game. I also recall asking my teacher if a play we would see was Banjo-kazooie! The sequal had all of the great features of the first one, with improved sound graophicas, and a new awesome storyline.

Graphics-the levels, characters and textures are no doubt the best i have ever seen, they were nice, and the characters are cooler looking. A few minor graphic changes are the honeycombs are no longer shiny, and the witch is better modled(she is more uglier!)

Sound:The sound is exellent, way better than Mario.I love the voices of the characters, as it's like their won language of grunts, clanking, and innovation. the gameplay sounds are good for any platformer. The music is a strong point. The best sountracks i liked are witchy world and hailfire peaks. Why? WithcyWorld was cool and cathcy and better than stupid glitter gulch mine, and hailfirepeaks is catchy, it's a good rap beat, and beats that stupid music if the glittering mine! rare is a genius at that, from the graet music from conker's bad fur day, and diddy kong racing. It is also cool how they can have a base song, and change it around and making it sound good. Just like the Simpsons theme. It's was made into a lively, awesome jazz version on hit and run, level three, using lisa

Gameplay-In addition to all the wacky abitities from the previous games, there is a whole lot more items. There are four more types of eggs, more shoes, and wacky transformation. In addition, there are bosses, music, new playable characters, and a replay mode. in anutshell, all of the first goodness with alot more flavor.

Replay-all the games that you played on your adventure is here on the replay mode. The bosses, the movies, and of course, the minigames.in short a game that is strongly into gaming.(What?)

Buy it, and you won't regret it!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! ... Read more

Editorial Review

That cute little squishy guy is back in all his pastel glory tosweeten up 2-D life on the Nintendo 64. With 3-D games such asPerfect Dark and Donkey Kong 64 getting the bulk ofattention among consumers, Kirby 64 provides a fun change of pace for bothyoung and experienced gamers who don't necessarily need all threedimensions to have fun.

Young gamers will love the bright, colorful graphics in this game, which is 2-D with some 3-D foreground and background elements. Kirby isjoined by plenty of friends who will aid in his quest to recover thepieces of an important shattered crystal.

While the levels are a bit too easy for older gamers, the gameplay inKirby 64 is original enough to entertain all ages. Kirbystill has an appetite for enemies, sucking them up and spitting themout, but he can also swallow them, inheriting abilities such as fireand cutter. Also, Kirby can now combine enemy powers, often withhilarious results. For instance, electricity plus stone turns Kirbyinto an electrifying little light bulb. Sure, you don't need to use allthese powers, but they're still fun to play with. --Robb Guido

Pros:

  • Whimsical 2-D graphics
  • Kirby 64's copy and combine abilities result in some unique and variedgameplay
Cons:
  • May be too easy and too cute for older players

5-0 out of 5 stars This Game is Deserves 5 stars definetely.
i bought this game about 3 years ago and I think it is one of the best N64 games to date. The graphics are good enough to be an early gamecube configuration, and the music is awesome. the gameplay is cool, like combining the moves to make ultra-weapons. there is no load-time and the game saves by itself. this game isn't very challenging, but the replay value is pretty good. this is one of the best kirby games, and is pretty rare. if you have an N64, this game is a must have. thanks for reading this review, and remember, its good to get a copy now if you havent already, because its going fast!

1-0 out of 5 stars STINKS!
Yes its me bombermans biggest fan and no I dont give every game exept bomberman 1 star.

5-0 out of 5 stars TOO CUTE!!! CAN'T..... RESIST!
The classic SNES character is back for N64! It's all about when dark something(forgot the name) Turns all of kirbys friends evil! But fear not! Kirby has a big appitite! and is ready to save the day! Don't listen to all who give it a thumbs down cause this is a great game and I give it two thumbs up!

1-0 out of 5 stars If youre looking for (junk) on N64,youjustfoundit
I bought this game a month back, and it stinks! The people who did ALL the other reviews have no idea what they are saying for this N64 piece of crap. The music is so babyish its not even Kirby music, and THIS GAME STINKS! Hal Laboratory can make better games than this. H---,even Klonoa is better than this. (BORING) Other Kirby games are better than this, too. I had to pelt this with rocks and put it in water.

5-0 out of 5 stars go kirby!
This is a really good and probaly the best game for kirby! It's all about when dark matter makes all of kirbys friends evil with these crystals and turn them against them! but fear not! kirby is here to save them! As usual our favorite classic snes and nes character is cute and hungry! (if you know what I mean) Those who are new to kirby try this! you'll enjoy it! so I give this game a 10! so play it! ... Anyone who has grown up without coming in contact with the Winnie thePooh stories likely suffers as a result a severe whimsy deficit. Whether throughthe original A.A. Milne novelsand stories, or the Walt Disneyfilm adaptations, themisadventures of Pooh, Christopher Robin, Tigger, and Piglet provide acompletely entertaining diversion from ordinary storytelling.

The story in Tigger's Honey Hunt starts with Pooh, who is planning agrand party. But he can't begin to plan the bash without knowing that he hassufficient honey for his guests to enjoy. Bouncing along in his own inimitableway, Tigger pledges to help Pooh locate enough honey pots to get the party offthe ground.

Crisp backgrounds, colorful worlds, and superb animation make this a fun rompthrough the Hundred Acre Woods. Gameplay mechanics are straightforward and aimedat the right demographic.

For anyone but kids, however, this game plays too short and doesn't have enoughindividual play modes (little kids love to play the same game over and over, soa short game doesn't matter much to the under-8 crowd). The title misses PaulWinchell's deft voice-over talent, but there's only so much data that you canfit on a Nintendo 64 cartridge.

Tigger's Honey Hunt really knows what it wants to be: a kids' game. Assuch, it succeeds in providing a darned good--if short--time. --ToddMowatt

Pros:

  • Clean, crisp backgrounds; colorful worlds; and superb animation
  • Straightforward gameplay mechanics aimed at younger gamers
  • Fun, safe gift for young family members
Cons:
  • Older, experienced gamers will find the game too easy
  • Paul Winchell's voice-over talent noticeably absent from the game

They say the third time's a charm, but what if everything was done rightthe first and second time around? That's the hurdle Tony Hawk's Pro Skater3 faces, as previous entries in this series are regarded by most gamers asperfect. Difficult as it is to believe, Pro Skater 3 introduces enoughnew features and great skate parks to make it another must-buy.

The biggest addition is the revert, which when combined with the manualintroduced in the previous game, lets players string together some amazing vertand grind combos. Once again, every ledge you see in the game is grindable, andthe massive levels are packed with switches, hidden areas, and other secretsthat will take months to fully explore (and exploit).

Things are a little on the chunky side graphically, but that's to be expected.Regardless, the animation is smooth and the frame rate stays high despite theenormous and complex environments this game lets players explore. The eclecticsoundtrack--which features acts ranging from the Ramones to Del the FunkyHomosapien--is another highlight, but it's still the Zenlike feeling you getfrom chaining together combo after outrageous combo that keeps you coming backfor more. --T. Byrl Baker

Note: This text refers to thePlayStation version of thegame.

Pros:

  • Smooth animations
  • Revert adds vert combos to the game
  • Enormous skate areas
Cons:
  • No option to create female players

Alright I am a skater fan and everyting, and I own every tony hawk game on N64 PSX and PS2. Tony hawk 3 is a cool game, dont get me wrong, but it could have been better. The tricks and Graphics were improved, but the skate park stuff was mostly the same. I beat the game in 2 hours max.Its a cool game though, Like I said. But I believe its better on PS2

5-0 out of 5 stars Very cool!
I own Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 1 & 2 for the N64, but nothing ever prepared me for such a great game as this one! It's awesome and I don't regret spending the money for it at all. The graphics are tapped up a notch (in my opinion anyway) and the all new Revert is outstanding for major combos! The revert was kind of confusing at first, but that's my only complaint so far. It still has a few of the funny glitches from THPS 2, but they don't really hurt the games overall score any for me. The levels are cool and large as well. Sadly, no living people or cars like in the other console versions of the game. And it should have a lot of replay value for all of those who have friends who like the game (or siblings)because the 2-Player modes are off the hook! I loved this game and it is one of the best for the N64. In my opinion, it gets 5 out of 5 stars easily.

5-0 out of 5 stars WOW!
I can't believe anyone would pay 40 bucks for this game when you can get a superior version on the ps2 for 20 bucks.who are they kidding?

5-0 out of 5 stars T. H. 3 ROX!
This is the best game of skateboarding ever! The levels, graphix, sound, and music are all awsome! You even get to skate in an airport, on a cruise ship (all over it) and in a facility! BUY IT NOW! This is one game you simply can't afford to miss!

4-0 out of 5 stars This game...ACK!
This, this game...This game is the most atrocious piece of trash that I have ever laid eyes on....The graphics are hideous. The game is very blocky and pixelated. There is only one mini-game,and you can only play it after you complete an entire game. The Mario Party games have hundreds ofmini-games.The voice overs are atrocious.Star Wars Obi-Wan has better voice overs! This game is the reason I hate every game made by THQ.If you buy this game for your child, then he/she will have a permanently damaged brain.Only 2-year olds with no imagination will enjoy this game.

1-0 out of 5 stars Hunt for another game
Rugrats: Scavenger Hunt was very disappointing.I've come to expect more from Nintendo after playing games like Super Mario & Banjo-Tooie.The play is slow and boring for anyone over the age of 6 and unless you have 4 people playing it, you have to wait for the computer to take its 3 turns. Even if you have 3 other players, you don't get much play time waiting for everyone elses turn. Lost my interest quickly.I would not recommend it.

4-0 out of 5 stars ah pure motor bike bliss!
remember how cool the original nintendo exite bike was?its all here in its original form.but thats not the cool part.the cool part is theres a whole new way better version too.you can learn all your skills in a tutorial mode.you can build your own tracks from like hundreds[maybe] of different hills, ramps, dips and spins.you can even go to modes where you can play games with your bike like soccer.its easy to get lost for days in these games but the real idea i guess is to beat it on championship mode.its pretty straight forward there.theres a side game where you must scale a very steep and rocky mountainside.one[yes i mean one]mistake and youll see some of the most hideous wrecks in exite bike history!its great fun!

5-0 out of 5 stars Go Excite.
This game may have some flaws but who cares? It's fun and thats why they made it. I don't exspect perfect from Nintendo.

4-0 out of 5 stars Very Good Game With Some Minor Flaws
I think this is a great remake of a once well known classic super nintendo game made in 1984, however despite that this game has a few minor flaws which i may discuss later in my review.

The graphics are great, one of n64's best graphics yet, especially for a motocross game, but annoying little graphics glitches sometimes appear which is a shame, otherwise the graphics are smooth and nice on the eyes. Just the little graphic glitches which decrease its score to 4.5/5.

The sound is pretty good, the music through out the game is easy enough to cope with. As for the sound effects, they are what you would expect from an extreme game. You hear yells when you ride off a cliff, you can hear the irrating motorbike noise as you race, you can hear thumps when you hit the ground hard. The only complaint about the sound is that the comentator's speech is a little repetitive, but otherwise you can get rid of the comentator. 4/5

The controls are not very good at times your bike just goes any random direction. The reason why the game is hard is due to the control. Otherwise its pretty easy to pull of tricks, however there could have been a better job on the control. 3.5/5

The fun factor is pretty good, you can race your friends on which ever tracks you have completed, and you can verse them on most of the special tracks which you can get by winning certain stages. The special features include the "desert" where you just race to a fire and then race to the next fire, no multiplayer for this. "stunt course" is a course where you can challenge your friends or yourself in performing as many stunts to get as many points. "original excitebike" is a feature you get by completing the tutorial. Its just the super nintendo version of excitebike. "soccer" is a feature were you verse your friends in soccer on a bike. "hill climb" is were you verse your friends or yourself up a steep hill. "excite 3d" is a really good fun race course. The main fun factor in this game is the create a track mode. While there may be many features, this game doesn't have many great features. 4/5

The replay value is great, and probably the most effective thing about the game. You will want to keep racing on those very nice outdoor/indoor tracks. 5/5

The main things which bother me about this game is that it could improve 1. Contain more stunts i mean 15 stunts isn't much for a motocross game. 2. Make it that you can control the time limit for the stunt course, i mean 2 minutes, c'mon. 3. Make the controls easier.

The main highlights of the game is the create a trak mode which allows you to create a track, the high replay value and the very interesting outdoor tracks.

5-0 out of 5 stars MASTERPIECE!!!!
i love this game i play it everyday and it has great graphics and great motorcross action with great levels indoor outdoor with lots of jumps and turns and the players are great and have their own weaknesses and experts and even moods and thier are over a dozen tricks like a superman, cliffhanger and no hander, and the best thing in the game is the create a track option where you can build an ultimate jump track where you just jump around and puul tricks or you can build a race track with jumps turns and obstacles and if you fininsh the game you get all this great bonus stuff like a stunt course a down hill track and an up hill track a cool soccer game where you play soccer on a motor bike against friends and you also get a super nin tend of the game which is pretty cool and the game has the maddest cheats likeones where you go double your speed and jump higher and there is even one whick un locks a dozen more tricks ... so great game go buy it!

5-0 out of 5 stars Great motorbike game
This is a very cool game to add to anyones N64 collection. The graphics are very smooth, even without the high resolution mode.
You can do a variety of stunts, every racer has their own speciality.
The sound and music are excellent. The music is cool, and does not get annoying.
The physics may not seem all that realistic. The riders do sort of glide through the air, but thats not a bad thing, it gives you more time to pull off a satisfying stunt.
My favoutite special track is the stunt course, the more stunts you do, the more points you get.
The football game is quite strange, but good fun.
Unlocking the original Excitebike is great. You'll find yourself playing the original quite a lot, its aged well over time.Having to finish in certain positions on the score table, at the end of each tournament is great, it means you want to get better and better to complete the next stage.
I recommend watching the replay of a race you've just done. The camera angles used in the play back are really good, and the music is again excellent.

Overall its a fantastic game. ... Read more

3-0 out of 5 stars not that great
I rented this game the other day not sure how it would be. As it turns out , its fun,but not that great. The graphics arent really up to what they should be.Maybe thats just because I also have a playstation 2 and ever since everything looks much crappier. The overall racing was fun but there wasnt enough modes. Its basically race or race. No freestyle modes. In conclusion , buy a ps2. It will enhance your gameplaying 10 fold, or however you want to put it.

5-0 out of 5 stars Excellent game to beat those Winter blues!
This game is a great racer...if you liked "Wave Race" you'll like this! Now it's only a matter of time till Sea Doo's "Hydro Cross"!!!SwEeEeT

4-0 out of 5 stars Neal Binghams review of Polaris Snocross 2001
Polaris Snocross is a fairly decent game. It has some things that the creators could change. But overall this game is ordinary. It has a wide variety of Snowcross sleds. But they have the other games would have just one to three sleds. The tracks are pretty cool. The tricks are cool but, they don't list all the tricks you'll have to figure out the others for yourself! And thanks for letting a review happen overall its a pretty cool game.

Amazon.com Review

Considering its humble beginnings on the Sega Genesis, the Maddenseries has come a long way (and even moreyardage has been covered by the PlayStation2's inaugural scrimmage). Even withexpectations high, Madden NFL 2001 for the Nintendo 64 is very, verygood. This game looks better than the original NFL Quarterback Club--anearly standard in football visuals--and plays like the previous year's versionof Madden on the PlayStation.

EA Sports has added some new playability features, such as collectable MaddenCards for fulfilling certain tasks in the game. The Madden Cards can be tradedwith friends, using the Nintendo 64 memory card, and can be used to unlocksecret game codes, players, stadiums, and legendary NFL teams. The new two-minutedrill feature allows up to 10 players to compete for the highest score.

But Madden NFL 2001does have some trouble in a couple of areas. The CPUhas a problem with clock management when it is behind with time running out;sometimes it will fail to call a time-out and let the clock expire at the halfor at the end of the game. Madden himself sounds a little run down in this gameas he only has a few phrases and he says them over and over and over. The crowdnoise and the cheers are not very well done and can get annoying.

Despite its few flaws, pound for pound this is the best NFL football title evermade for the Nintendo 64. --Todd Mowatt

Pros:

  • Best football game yet made for the Nintendo 64
  • Collectable Madden Cards can be used to unlock secret game codes, players, stadiums, and teams
  • New 2-minute drill feature
Cons:
  • Clock-management bug sometimes lets time expire at the half
  • Repetitive Madden phrases

3-0 out of 5 stars Don't get this
You shouldn't get this because for 1, none of the trades are up to date. Also if you were to get this you wouldn't get all the cool features that John Madden 2002 like 2minute drill where you can be on defense. ALso th Madden cards are way better inth 2002 version because you can get cheerleader cards. Also in the 2002 versiof the levels of diffiulty like on All Madden mode is actually hard and if your good you won't absulutely blow out the other team.Another reason you Shouldn't get this is because if you got this you wouldn't be able to use the Houston Texans which only 2002 has.

2-0 out of 5 stars very frustrating
I just couldn't enjoy this game.I would get filled with anger and have to turn it off.I don't know if all these people played this game for N64 but the only thing going for this game is the graphics. The AI isn't good, it just cheats.Their guys can run and catch through your guys.It is impossible to run, because it is nearly impossible to break tackles.Your man is never open because when you throw the ball the computer players get a sudden burst of speed and all of a sudden your guy is triple-teamed by the time the ball gets there.Penalties are usually in favor the computer.Madden 2002 is a much better game, but that isn't on N64.If I had to buy for 64, I would ethier get QB Club 2001 or Madden 2000.

5-0 out of 5 stars Crazy Football fan
This game is REALLY fun! I have it and I created a season with the Bucconers and Made a NFL Record with the team, and W.Dunn. Awsome game if your getting it for you or something,I garentee that they will have fun with it.at first its kinda hard to control the pad;so,Have fun!!!

4-0 out of 5 stars everything you need to know
I'm the kind of person that likes games that make you as the gm. When i'm the gm in games I only like them if they are challenging no special advantages for either side and I like sports games as realistic as possible. If you are like that or similar to that it's a great idea to read this article. If not there should a lot of things you will catch that'll help you make your descision in weather or not you will by this game.

The two minute drill is a fun game which you play. The object is to score as much points as you can in two minutes.(Play for personal goals) You get three time outs and you never play defense. When you play two minute drill the smartest thing to do is to throw deep passes close to out of bounds. After you play this for a while you will notice that you have goten better at the game and that the plays you do most often on two minute drill usually will be the you will do most often in real game because you have goten used to the plays. Sorry about not going into details to the non-likers of franchise fans.

Franchise mode is only allowed for 30 years and depending on how good of a gm you are it can take a short period of time or an hour an off-season and season. (Dont watch or coach games or else stats in the game are really messed up and the game starts to become less and less realistic)To begin the game you will have either a full 42 round draft with some players left out at the end or just get your favorite team with all the players it had that year. First year you do not handle contracts in the beginining and theres no pre-season but after you've played your first game you have total control over your franchise by controlling your budget in a wise way. Before each game it's has ratings it gives for each team saying which team has a better secondary defensive line or better qb and a lot more. Before you go to your schedule you will see screen you have the ability to go and they are stats which has coach team stats, individual stats, team standings, and team rankings. The one under that is leauge news which has all-madden team, and All-Rookie team, league transactions, injury reports, team schedules, pro bowl voting, yearly awards, and player awards. Another link is manage rosters which has Player management, roster breakdown, depth chart, trade, sign player, re-sign player, and release player. Then the record book link has individual, team, and coaching records. Settings has gameplay, penalty settings, sound options, and control configuration. Last one is franchise set-up which has coach set-up and team set-up.

Anyway off with the boring things and on with the exciting things. Which gets us going into talking about the play-offs. The way you get in the play-offs is the exact same way you into the play-offs in real football. During the play-offs the players will play their butts off until there are only two teams left. And when there's two teams left there is a super bowl. Simply making it to the play-offs has a huge effect on your resame with the same to every game you play in the regular season but if you could win a super bowl with your team you practically can get any job you want unless you go 0-16 the next season. When your hired as a coach(gm)you get to make all the descisions thankfully in this game there are no Jerry Jones, George Steinbrener buting in to your desicion.(But I dont think in any game Jones or Steinbrener buts in????????????)Anyways if you get fired the only options you have is to turn off your nintendo or hope you have a good enough resame to impress some president.(Not of a country!)By the way make sure you dont blow off your money because if you do you'll be put in such a bad situation that if one person gets injured you'll have to blow off your job.Uh-oh I got to go sorry.

5-0 out of 5 stars Yes THIS IS A GREAT DEAL
My son Brent says it is is great deal because you get 2 controllers pokemon stadium a poster and a journal he gives it five stars

5-0 out of 5 stars Pokemon Stadium Bundle
The information offered by Amazon isn't that clear on this bundle, so I'll explain what this bundle is.

It's basically a N64 with Pokemen Stadium. Includes:

1. A complete N64 GamingSystem
2. Two Controllers (Most consoles come with 1, second will cost extra)
3. Pokemon Stadium, the game.
4. The Official Nintendo Players Guide: Pokemon Stadium
5. A pokemon poster for your wall.

Now I would like to remind you that just a N64 with 2 controllers is going to cost you the same as this bundle. So basically you're getting a N64 and Game/Game accessories at the same price as only a N64.

Pokemon Stadium is very much like a pokemen battle on a gameboy. Except that it's in a stunning 3d envirement, with all the effects in realistic rendering. It makes a great addition to any pokemon fans collection. Overall however, it's only a mediocre game.

But since you're getting it for free, I think it's a good deal isn't it? Especially since there are people who think it's the best, and buying it stand-alone will cost $40.

Bottom Line - If you're getting a N64, this is the best bundle you can get.

5-0 out of 5 stars The greatest master off them all

POKEMON!you can feel the power and magic that i did by getting this bundle. its the best pokemon game yet! if you get this bundle you really can be "THE GREATEST MASTER OF THEM ALL"

4-0 out of 5 stars great game for nintendo 64!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
it's a good game but since it's from nintendo 64 the graphics aren't too good but good for nintendo 64. you can set traps for other players like a portable hole. I would highly reccomend this game for a person who likes Mario Cart or other non-lifelike racing games because it's pretty fun except for the not so great graphics but good for nintendo 64. The educational is bad but no video games have really good educational value (who cares if you learn from it it's all about the fun right?!!) the durabilities not good because it's for a "home entertainment system" ...
