5-0 out of 5 stars Excellent game for its time and now!
I really enjoy this game.I have SOF2 and I wish so much that they had the options from this game in SOF2. some examples are that there is so much that is destructible-chairs,tables, lights that make it darker when shot out, etc...

I wish that activision carried all of those features into SOF2.The weapons and equipment are great as well. There are trip mines, rpgs, Bazookas, and all of the main assault rifles, and guns that are in most shooters. The features of this game add a strategy to multiplayer that other present day shooters just don't have....they are all about running around, shooting and dieing.

I hope that activision makes shooters that are designed more like this, and have tactical multiplayer.

Unforunately I have been unable to find any servers online.

3-0 out of 5 stars O.K. for the price; only ten bucks g ahead and buy it.
Gamespy apparently doesn't support this game, so take it to a LAN party. But don't get 'bugged' if they play Battlefield 1942 all night, because it is much better. In Razor Unit, you just run around shooting. It can be tricky at times, because it's hard to tell where they're shooting from. I didn't notice any bugs but I never played it without the patch. I have a P4 2.4GHZ with a GeForce 4 440. Seems to be compatible with everything. But nobody is ever onlne to play multiplayer.

4-0 out of 5 stars Worth it for the price.
I think this game is a worth for the money. I got this from Target for $9.99. I know that every other reviews talk how bad this game is, but they should give respect for the developers and stop talking about this game. I think this is a great game. Even though the emeny A.I. is stupid, I enjoy that a little. I don't think it's hard at all and I never got a single bugs. I also enjoy the multiplayer the most. Hardly, anyone is online so I always play LAN just like what the other reviewer enjoyed. Graphics are alright, gameplay is easy, and sound is not bad. Compared to Counter Strike and Medal of Honor, this game is only so-so but this game is worth it for the price (I also recommend Secret Service In Harm's Way for the fact that the price is only $9.99, too).

4-0 out of 5 stars Not a bad game like other review state if you go to lans
This game is not as bad as the other review say.I think its got alot of potentional. The game is rather boring alone but if you go to lan parties its a good game. They are also working on patches for this game to fix bugs.I think they released it to early. But the graphics arent bad they are desent.I enjoy game but i also go to alot of lan parties. So if you go to lans buy this.

The AI does [isn't good].

1-0 out of 5 stars Avoid at all costs
This game is very new, but there's a reason it carries such a small price tag: it is simply the worst game I have ever played on the PC. If this game had come out 10 years ago, it would have been considered revolutionary, but the sad fact is it just came out. Here's the basic premise: you walk around, shoot at terrorists, and... actually, that's about it. And even for those of you that enjoy pointless running-and-gunning (we all enjoy that sometimes), the action in this game isn't even that fun to begin with since the AI is so horrible and it's just so boring standing far away and tapping the fire button until you kill a row of three guys that are lining up to get killed. The game is also extremely buggy at times, where the monitor seems to vibrate and be very unstable at times. You'll really have to see it for yourself, but it's very annoying. In terms of graphics, they are simply too poor and too unacceptable in today's standard of PC graphics. The graphics are a little better than Deus Ex's, but Deus Ex is such a masterpiece in it's own time that you hardly notice things like that. The reason I'm writing such a long review is because I want everyone to keep their money and spend it on something more worthwhile. If you want frenetic, fast-paced action then get Wolfenstein, Serious Sam: second Encounter, or Max Payne. If you want a horrible game, then go ahead and get this one. But don't say I didn't warn you. ... Read more

Amazon.com Product Description

In Diablo II, players return to a world of dark fantasy. As one of five distinct character types, players will explore the world of Diablo II, journey across distant lands, fight new villains, discover new treasures, and uncover ancient mysteries. The Collectors Edition includes the four-CD game, a 24-minute Diablo II movie on DVD and in letter-box format, the 70-minute soundtrack, and the D&D Diablo II pen-and-paper box set for playing D&D in the Diablo II setting.

Since the beginning of time, the forces of order and chaos have been engaged in an eternal struggle to decide the fate of all creation. That struggle has now come to the mortal realm, and neither man, demon, nor angel will be left unscathed.

Diablo, lord of terror, and youngest of the three prime evils, awoke from his long sleep beneath the dark earth. Setting in motion a grand scheme to free his exiled brothers, Mephisto and Baal, Diablo took control of the small western kingdom of Khanduras. Working from deep within the ancient catacombs beneath the town of Tristram, Diablo gripped the entire populace in a blanket of fear and paranoia.

Ultimately, as even Khanduras's good King Leoric fell under Diablo's wicked power, a lone hero arose to challenge the darkness that had engulfed the land. After plumbing the hellish depths of the labyrinth under Tristram, the nameless hero finally confronted the lord of terror himself. Knowing full well that Diablo's spirit could never be truly destroyed, the hero made the noblest sacrifice of all: casting his soul and his very sanity aside, the hero took the spirit of Diablo into himself, hoping that his own strength of will could contain the demon within. The hero could never have known that his selfless act would not only ensure Diablo's victory, but would also irrevocably damn his soul for all time. ... Read more

5-0 out of 5 stars Diablo II RULES
If you don't already have Diablo II, GET IT!It will provide hours of fun for all players.I hope you enjoy this game!

5-0 out of 5 stars Diablo 2 is AWESOME
THE BEST RPG GAME I EVER PLAYED!!!

Read all the other 5-star reviews, I am pretty sure it's all cover there.

2-0 out of 5 stars Boring
I don't care for any of the Diablo games. If you want a game that you have to click your mouse button 50 times to kill a guy, buy this game.Overall, there are alot of better games to buy for your $60 bucks

5-0 out of 5 stars All that, and TWO bags of chips
I was one of the lucky few to recieve this product back when it was first offered. The soundtrack was excellent, as was the DVD. Even though the DVD only showed the 5 movies of each act [Including Epilogue], it also has several trailers, including Warcraft III, Starcraft and Brood Wars, and a few others.

Unfortunately, the add-in "build your own dungeon" was not to my liking. Fine for its own spinoff, but Dungeons and Dragons is not all about just killing. I feel a lot of roleplaying may be lost... but maybe that's just me.

All in all, an excellent purchase.

5-0 out of 5 stars Golems & Skeleton Mages!
This is not the ordinary version of Diablo II that is usually seen on the shelves in stores. The box alone is almost twice the size of the normal. With this version, you get a few extra items.Among them, is the CD, which has the background music from the game.It is best described as mood music, with an eerie feeling to it.Another item you get is the DVD, which has all the cut scenes on it.My recommendation is not to watch this until you have beaten the game in normal difficulty. It will be a spoiler if you do.

As my friend said, this collector's edition will haunt your room if you keep the box in sight. It almost seems as though the box is looking at you in the darkness enticing you to play it.Be warned though about Diablo II... it is known to be addictive, causing countless hours of sleeplessness, possible relationship problems with your significant other, not to mention your job security. If you can withstand the temptations, it's a lot of fun to destroy Diablo & enjoy a good multiplayer game with your friends. ... Amazon.com Review

As in its dozens of first-person shooter ancestors, id Software and Activision's Quake 3: Arena transports players into a violent, virtual world filled with deadly weapons, impressive power-ups, and intense combat. Players compete on 26 maps in either death match (free-for-all or team play), with goals to rack up as many kills as possible; or capture the flag, a team-oriented game with scoring based on the number of enemy flag captures. Though presenting the best death-match experience around, Quake 3's two game types lack the variation and originality of a similar game, Epic's Unreal Tournament.

Although you'll need the latest video card and computer hardware, it's impossible to dispute the sheer beauty of Quake 3's 3-D engine. The 26 maps are filled with exquisite architecture and impressive special effects; further, Quake 3 provides dozens of highly detailed player models to choose from. If you've played other id Software first-person shooters, the weapons should all look familiar: machine gun, shotgun, plasma gun, grenade launcher, rocket launcher, lightning gun, railgun, and the BFG 10K. Though impressively rendered and balanced, you've likely used them before in id's Doom, Quake, or any number of other first-person action games.

Hopping online and competing against other Quake 3: Arena players worldwide requires only a 56K or better Internet connection and a few mouse clicks. Quake 3 offers an infinitely replayable multiplayer experience (and a violent one--not for youngsters), but an unsatisfying solo game. Its single-player tournament mode--a series of death matches against computer AI bots--serves simply as a massive training exercise for multiplay. --Doug Radcliffe

Pros:

  • Elite Edition: cool metal box
  • Near-perfect death-match multiplay
  • Detailed player models
  • Cutting-edge graphics
Cons:
  • Uninspired single-player experience
  • Lack of game variations
  • Unoriginal weapons

4-0 out of 5 stars DE BEZT GAME EVA
THIS GAME ROCKS. IT IS ONE OF THE BEST GAMESI HAVE EVER PLAYTED. my friend and i play always when we get back from school. its awseome. the 4 stars is really 5 1/2 becuz single player can get boring. i was about 9 when i discovered that multiplayer actually wqorked by accidently clicking on it and seeing servers. if u have a crap 4 connection dont plan on playin interenet cuz u will lag a lot. i have played Unreal Tournament and i think i like unreal better then quake but i dunnno. its a good overall game as long as u play multi player

5-0 out of 5 stars The Defacto Death-Match game!
I just recently got this with my new computer and I have to say it's the Alpha and Omega of DM games. Great graphics. The single-player could have been better, but the whole point of making this game was to concentrate on the multiplayer online game. Like tweaking the netcode and balancing out weapons. Everything is great. Recommended buy to any id or DM lover.

4-0 out of 5 stars A Near-Flawless Deathmatch Experience
I've always been an Unreal Tournament person, but lately I've been playing the Q3A demo a lot and decided to get the full version. The engine is the smoothest and most powerful I've ever experienced in an FPS. It is fast as Hell and accomodates an extraordinary degree of precision in regard to movement and aim, which is easily noticable if you use a mouse that takes advantage of unusually high-res environments (I use an Intellimouse Explorer). Unfortunately, the graphic designs for a lot of the levels using it are kind of boring aesthetically... lots of castles and gothic constructions, and those space levels with the jump pads. Then again, most of my favorite flashy, unconventional UT levels had bad framerates. I did find the weapons a bit of a problem, not so much because they are unoriginal as because they are unbalanced. It is rare that anyone uses anything other than rockets and railguns, which hurts gameplay a bit. The built in alternative modes of play are not great, but the mod community is fairly advanced. I still like UT more, but any true FPS fan should have a copy of this.

3-0 out of 5 stars Great Graphics and Fast Game Play
Overall, I am dissapointed by Quake3. However, there are now many modificatinos (Mods) available that make it a far more interesting game when playing over the internet. Plus, a new mission pack will be released in Nov. 2000 that will add new maps, weapons and features. I still prefer Unreal Tournament to Q3. But if your looking for some great graphics and really fast game play (assuming your computer can handle it), then I strongly recommend this title be added to any serious "first person shooter's" library.

5-0 out of 5 stars WOW!!!!!!!!!!
This is the greatest game!!! Why? Quake3 arena differs from quake andquake2 is that there is no single player... I always found the singleplayer parts of these games boring. I never beat the game with out cheatingbecause I hated running out of ammo or having to face the same dude overand over again. Quake3 arena is all multiplayer, and the expansion pack ismoving even farther into the multiplayer field. It is addictive (I know 10college students that were kicked out because of it) some people do notlike the maps or the boring death match stuff that came in the box withquake. Quake is better than unreal tournament for many reasons. in quakeyou have a wide variety of guys to choose from, if you don't like what isthere you can make your own. THE GAME PLAY IS INTENCE. The number onereason why quake is better than UT is because ID software released thesource code for the game. When they did this, it allowed anybody thatwanted to change the game and make MODS, MODs are modifications to the gamelike.... Instagib. Rocket Arena 3. Weapons Factory Arena. And many manymore.. If you get board then play a different mod, it is like playing ahole different game.

Amazon.com Product Description

The vibrant world of Britannia, first explored in the Ultima games of the early 1980s, became an online adventuring ground for thousands with Ultima Online. UO displayed its world with the flat 2-D graphics of the old Ultima games. While this was fine at first, gamers began to complain once more advanced graphics technology became available. With Third Dawn, Electronic Arts responds to its loyal community with sharp new 3-D character graphics and more.

Third Dawn adds an additional landmass that presents even greater challenges and rewards for UO players. Third Dawn also adds new monsters to the UO landscape, and for combat, players can try out new weapons and armor, some of which feature an oriental/samurai look and feel.

Now Ultima Online is better than ever with improved graphics, music, and sound effects. Explore the beautiful world of Britannia and see and hear the difference.

Ultima Online is a multiplayer online game you play via the Internet. A stable Internet connection is required to play. Electronic Arts charges a small monthly fee for this game, separate from your Internet service provider access charges. The first month of this fee is included in the purchase price of this package. You must provide a valid credit card to register and play. After your first month, you can use your credit card to buy more time.

5-0 out of 5 stars Too addictive for my own good...
Contrary to what many say, and what I use to say, pay-to-play is definitely the way to go. It weeds out most of the immature children and maintains a lovely online community. The game it self is one of the most addictive I have ever played. With mass possibilities as to what you can be in the game (Warrior, Mage, Healer, Blacksmith, Tailor, Ranger, etc), you will find it is hard to get bored with this game. The online community you will find is one of the most lovely out there. The people are friendly and immaturity is highly frowned upon. People will give you a helping hand and if you have a want, there are many who will help you fill it. There are two versions on this disc, 3D and 2D. Many old-schoolers will tell you 2D is the way to go with less lag, but I prefer 3D and if you play, you will see why. Either way, you can't complain when they let you have your choice.

5-0 out of 5 stars This game is great!!!!!!!
I have no idea why but most of these responses are negative. I have been playing uo for about a week and i am hooked. I guess most of these people don't have a good enough computer to see the good quality graphics. My computer has no problems and runs the game very fast, whout any lag. Get a better computer and stop complaining uo is a great game.

4-0 out of 5 stars Great Game To Play
I have been playing UO for about a year now, I started out with Third Dawn. As for the 3d aspect it just about [stinks], and I have more than the minimum requirement, but I play 2d all the time so it doesn't matter to me. If others out there want to get into UO, id recommend buying LBR (Lord Blackthorn's Revenge) just for the simple fact that you are able to access all that 3rd Dawn 3d users can access (illshenar) in 2d without the extreme lag that is encountered with 3d. I myself am getting ready to buy LBR :)

1-0 out of 5 stars Downgrade for UO
I was "lucky" enough to beta this "upgrade." The promise of 3D graphics and new lands was very exciting...until I loaded the CD. I got it free, but like at least 90% of UO players, I kept right on using the 2D client. Why? Because the 3D graphics are incredibly ugly compared to the 2D graphics, which included art by a famous fantasy illustrator. The 3D versions which come with this CD look like a 10 year old with a public domain renderer created them. Only the spell effects are acceptable. Everyone I knew who betaed cringed when we heard it it was deemed ready for release. Since then, it has received many patches to improve the speed and to some extent the graphics, but you still won't be happy even after sitting through what I expect will be half an hour of patching. This edition is also out of date already, with the release of Lord Blackthorn's Revenge. Save your money and buy the new version if you are interested in 3D. If you are not interested in 3D, buy the Renaissance edition for under $(...) here. It contains access to almost all the areas and items. The items it lacks you can buy from players who have one of the 3D versions. Another plus if you buy the Blackthorn's Revenge version. It allows you to access the landmass of Ilshenar in 2D. Yes, EA apparently now realizes how terrible a mistake they made with this edition and is backpeddling fast to try and keep their majority of customers who preferred the 2D. The only reason to buy this CD is if you are absolutely sure you will be playing in 3D all the time and you already have multiple 2D accounts. Blackthorn's Revenge requires that you buy a different copy for each account you own to receive all the benefits.

2-0 out of 5 stars Well, the Price is right...
Graphics are horrible, sound makes me want to remove my sound card, music is like Euro-Tecno-Pop on meth, and the AI is laughable.I never bought this game, but have played it many times at friends' houses just to laugh at the computer players runing into walls and such.People who are thinking, "It's DOS, what the heck did you expect?" have no idea what they are dealing with. The only reason I can give this an overall rating of 2 stars is because the price of $0.29 makes is worthwhile to buy just for those fun air pillows that come in the packaging.

1-0 out of 5 stars I hate this game!!!!!!! You should to.
This is the world's worst game the music is terrible , the AI is the worst in any game game you have played or, for that matter, any game you will play in the future. The only good thing about this stupid game is that it crashed so much I could barely play it.So take my advice and stay away from this game like it was a rancid cow utter. If I could I would give this game zero stars.

1-0 out of 5 stars It is so OLD, BORING, and SLOW!!!
This game is awfull! I would not reccomend this for anyone! It's too much violence for little kids and too boring for teens, and no adult would play this game. Compare to great games like "Medal of Honor" and Call of Duty this is a piece of junk.
1. Graphics- Terrible.
2. Sound- Below Stereo(bad)
3. Gameplay- hard to control!
This game has LOW system requirements and about 6 years old!
I would put 0 stars if I could to rate this no good, rotten piece of junk!

5-0 out of 5 stars Oh yes!awesome experience!
One word sums up this game:Awesome.I know there are a lot of people who enjoy a good game of paintball, but also cant be playing all the time.If you have the urge to play paintball but just cant find friends to play it with should simply turn on their PC and strike up an intense game of extreme paintbrawl. The graphics are stunning, the weapons are well varied and the AI is amazingly complex. This game has a much stronger AI than most modern games such as Return to castle wolfenstien or UT2003.The graphics are simply beautiful, almost lifelike. The only dissapointment I had with this game was the music. It is just a little fast paced and can get in the way with the strategic element of the game (such as listening for enemies sneaking up.)Overall, this is one of the greatest games on the shelves right now and certantly beats down all the other titles in the genere.I simply cant wait till the sequal, though it will probobly be worse because I dont see how they could improve this game accept for the music.Defenently worth your time and money.

1-0 out of 5 stars Enough with the EXTREME ...
I would advise that any gamer out there should avoid this at all costs. This is probably the worst computer game ever made. Graphics are pixelated junk, AI... well, there isn't any I'm afraid, sound- there is none whatsoever, and there is absoultely no redemming qualites from this. My sister enjoys the music though. Anyway, forget this abomination exists and spare yourself from sleep-inducing boredom and wasted time. ... Read more

Majestic puts players in the center of a powerful suspense thriller in which the lines of reality are quickly blurred (the conspiracy mystery plot could have come straight from a season of The X-Files). Unlike any online gaming experience to date, Majestic decides when it is time to engage, then interacts with players via e-mail, instant messaging, voice mail, fax, and the Internet.

For example, you could be reading your e-mail when suddenly your computer announces that someone wants to open up a video conference. You click the link, and fringe investigative journalist Tim Pritchard (played by Joe Pantoliano of The Matrix and The Sopranos fame) appears. He runs a Web site for stories that the conventional media wouldn't dare publish, and he needs your help. The rest of the episode, played out over several days, may involve searches of real and fake Web sites, hacking voice mail systems, intercepting e-mail, and chatting with contacts as you try to unravel Pritchard's mystery. Anything is possible in Majestic.

Majestic revolutionizes online gaming as it delivers its content episodically over a full season. The first season of Majestic launches with the free pilot (included in this box), followed by monthly episodes from Electronic Arts for an introductory price of $9.99 per month (subscription price subject to change). As this is an online game, a stable Internet connection is required. ... Read more

4-0 out of 5 stars Game No Longer Playable
Just in case anyone was thinking of buying this game...

EA no longer supports this game and it cannot be played. So don't waste your money. It was a great game when it lasted.

1-0 out of 5 stars The Fun Is Officially Over
Originally billed as "The game that plays you!" Majestic was an exhilarating online mystery, unlike any other game before it. However, gameplay was all online, and involved searching websites on the servers run by EA. The software in this box is merely the interface for that online play, there is zero off-line content. EA shut down the servers running this game in April 2002. So, now, this is merely a collector's item for the box art, there is nothing that can be done with the software at all.

If you are looking for a game to play, do not buy this. There is nothing payable at all in this box. It's not bad, it's simply non-existant.

5-0 out of 5 stars Engrossing, if you like to THINK
Majestic is a game I'd heard about for some time, but was waiting to read the reviews for. I finally read some, and they were uniformly outstanding, but to play you had to join an EA-owned service and I didn't want to do that. But then, they released the game on CD and no special membership was required. So, I bought the game.

You've probably heard, EA has pulled the plug. This is sort of like cancelling a great TV show before it has the chance to build up an audience. EA never gave Majestic a chance to succeed. The game servers are active until the end of April, so if you start now, you can't finish the game... period.

That said, I have NEVER enjoyed a game more than I'm enjoying this one. Well, maybe "enjoy" isn't the right word. I'm addicted. Besides the main plot, which consists of some simple puzzles that get harder over the course of the game but are always solvable with the tools right at hand, there is a second, much more challenging game just "outside" of the main game that has absorbed my attention for days and days now and is the single most challenging intellectual problem I've ever come across. I won't ruin it for anyone except to mention "Solitaire1947."

If you don't own Majestic... don't bother to start. But remember that Majestic was something truly innovative, great, and exciting, and Electronic Arts killed it before it ever had a chance to succeed.

Sad, really...

1-0 out of 5 stars Don't Buy This Game
Majestic is a highly entertaining game in the vein of the X-Files and David Fincher's movie, "The Game".In fact, Majestic is one of the most original and engrossing games I ever played.

Then why the 1 star rating? Electronic Arts, the creators of Majestic, have decided that the game isn't profitable enough for them - one of the reasons it is being released on CD.Unfortuneatly, subscriptions to majestic were much lower than EA expected.Instead of trying to get more subscribers, they have nixed Majestic.Already, the message boards and "members only" areas of the majestic web page are gone...But it get worse. How?Majestic is being cancelled as of April 30, 2002. I'll say that again : MAJESTIC IS BEING CANCELLED AS OF APRIL 30, 2002.

As many gamers have been, I am throughly disappointed with this decision.Unfortuneatly, EA is not about to change their minds on this.In fact, rumor has it the entire majestic team has been fired...

2-0 out of 5 stars Great idea, lacking in execution.
I was one of the original online players of this game, and the idea excited me to no end.Imagine!Threatening phone calls at 2 AM!Faxes coming over your machine from unidentified sources!Who is part of the game and who is not?WOW!!

At first, it seemed to live up to everything I thought it would. That first phone call gave me the willies! After a while, the stale recorded messages became old.The AIM conversations? If you can't figure out which ones are real and which ones are the game characters, you're not old enough to be listening to the language used in the game.To be fair, however, some of the calls and AIM messages have caused my girlfriend to threaten me that if "they" actually showed up at the door, she would kill me before they could get to me.

Puzzles? If you find one before Episode 4, let me know.If you're a puzzle gamer, you'll be able to play this game in your sleep. The puzzles are easy, and, even if for some wild reason, you can't solve one, you will get an email within 24 hours from a game character explaining exactly what it is you need to do.

If you haven't bought it, save your money for the next round when someone works out a way to make the great ideas work.If you have spent your money on it, it's too late, but stick with it.The last episode shows that there is some hope for the format, and may just make you hope that they do come out with a sequel. ... 5-0 out of 5 stars DarkSpace : a MMOG by Sarge
massivly multiplayer online game

good:
-community
-graphics
-free trial
-3 different factions with different bonuses and drawbacks on each
-many systems linked tgether in something called a Metaverse commonly referred to as MV

bad: patches used to be frequent however to reduce lag the current one has takken over a year should be out relatively soon though

low ranked ships are not good

i've been playing this game for almost a year..i'm hooked just keep trying.try to make some good friends and they'll help you with ranking up to get bigger better ships...

5-0 out of 5 stars this game ROXXX
i 'v played this game for... TWO YEARS! and i'm FINALLY bored of it .

Graphics are up to Doom 3 standards YES THEY ARE . The textures are very high res and the stencil shadows are very similar . I got a radeon 8500 128mb , 256mb of ram and a PIII 900mhz and it LAGS

5-0 out of 5 stars Dark Space is Right ON
DarkSpace is a great game for those who want to command and conquer space ships and planets. It has a flawless on line support system that allows players to strategize commanding their own space fleet for planet exploration. The game play allows for a sensation of universal exploration combined with strategy. The audio sound track is a nice complement to the game. This game will keep you immersed with hours of game play, exploration, while moving up the ranks of commanding your fleet as you conquer planets and space ships. If your looking for a game that will keep you entertained Dark Space delivers.

2-0 out of 5 stars There are better games then this one...
This game has great graphics and fair game play.It is very boring after you have been playing it after a few weeks. If you dont have the rank, you dont get good enough ships to compete with the players established in the game already, and there isnt much you can do to survive on the big servers otherwise. This game requires that you are a member of a BIG fleet or you cant really do anything but give someone else points for killing you.

This game is all about team work. There is nothing for single players to do.Trade in the game isnt worthwhile, and the missions really dont do much for you. Most of the little guys (lower levels) are used by the big players.Ie.. to help them grow in levels, though you do get some points for helping them.

If you do play on the big metaverse servers, there tends to be a lot of lag when there are a lot of players playing.Certain types of ships tend to lag the game a some even with a big computer (I have a P4 1.6meg with 768Meg ram, Gforce4 video. If you have the minimum requirements, you will not enjoy the game unless you really turn off some of the graphic setting. ( not a lot you can turn off or on )

This game is not as expensive to buy at first, but the $.$$ monthly fee is a bit stiff for this kind of game when you consider the other online games there that are better, Like Earth and Beyond.

My suggestion would be to move on to a better game if you are into this Genre.

5-0 out of 5 stars if you like blowing stuff up this game is for you!
i have ben playing this game sence april now and ive become one of the top players in the game. i think this game is equal to or better than hameworld! you can download this game free off of the darkspace web site at www.darkspace.net with this you will be able to play on the newb servers for free with out paying a cent! "you will not be able to save your stats or advance above the rank of comander, also you will olny get the first 3 ship classes so you will not know the full potential of the game until you pay for it" for more rank and saving your stats you will need to pay 10 bucks a month but its worth it! right now there coming out with new game features such as new fighters and weapon platforms. but also for the people with more rank like me there trying to nerf the ships so noobs "like you will be if you play this game" can slauter us with small ships.... boo!!

hoped this helped you whith finding a cool game to play

5-0 out of 5 stars ULTIMATE BEST GAME!!
THIS GAME IS THE BEST GAME I'VE EVER PLAYED! It is GREAT for relieving stress and is just a reallyfun thing to do.

5-0 out of 5 stars Halarious!
This game is great. Very funny, loads o' fun. In Worms 2, you command an army of worms in a turn-based, 2-d world. You have an array of odd weapons; exploding sheep, exploding cows, exploding old women, exploding bananas...ect. It is really great. plus, everything is custamizable. you can set each weapon's explosion level, how much ammo you get, how much time you get per turn.

4-0 out of 5 stars A great party game.
One of the best games of it's type, great for blowing off steam. It offers great control over the game, It's missing a star becuase of the replay value, after a while even gross distruction gives way to wanting something more.

5-0 out of 5 stars Sociality, Strategy, and Super Sheep
Worms is one of the greatest games ever made. Not only is it an addictive, fun game, but it has an aspect of social fun like no other game. There's so few games, and no fun ones, that let players gather around a computer screen and laugh together when someone flies thousands of pixels high after an explosion from a super-banana bomb only to land with a "Spoosh" in the water.Worms does.Worms 2 has a fully editable weapon set, which is another reason I like it, and the reason why it is better than the next version, armageddon.

5-0 out of 5 stars Family Rivalry
This game has everything, ranging from Banana Bombs to Concrete Donkeys. As an avid computer game player, I think this game has a very good value and excellent cheats. One of the most fun things to do in this game is create your own team, and I think it was nice of them to let you have examples of team and worm names. I would reccomend buying this over most of the things on the amazon site! ... Read more

5-0 out of 5 stars Dont order the card, you will never receive it.
I have had this card on order since Dec 23.I have approved to extensions for the delay with a ship date now of mid Feb.

At this point I consider these cards Vaporware.

BTW, the sony web seite isnt much better, they cant seem to even process the order.

5-0 out of 5 stars The best First Person Shooter available today.
There is simply no comparison to planetside.Planetside does require a good system for the best performance. However the game works so well.16 on 16 FPS shooters can't compare to 100 vs 100.13 continents per world to wage war on.Unlimited certification combinations.10 minutes from patch to actually being able to play the game.Level playing field.A battle rank 1 character is the same as a battle rank 20 character in terms of armor and health. This game rocks hard core.

5-0 out of 5 stars AWESOME GAME. BUY IT! NOW!!!!
This game is sooo wicked awesome. The gameplay is great and it isnt too laggy. The one problem is the high system specs you need but i ran it on 256 megs of ram with a GeForce 4 and it was great. this is the best game. period.

4-0 out of 5 stars Caveat Emptor
Buyer Beware. If you have the right system and connection, this game rocks.DO NOT buy this game unless you have at least a GeForce 3 64mb graphics card and 768 mb RAM.If you don't know for sure that your system meets those specs, then it probably doesn't.

Also: this game is a multiplayer internet action game.DO NOT play it without DSL or a Cable Modem. You will not enjoy it.

There are some other technical problems but they are not major.

4-0 out of 5 stars I Have reviewed this game and now I wil review the card.
The reason Mr.Vyacheslav Vainshtok experienced la is his ammount of RAM, the minimal needed for the game is 256 but anyone without at least 1 gig of ram will not be able to play the game to its fullest content. The game however is amazing and he should not be reviewing his computer, but the game itself.
Anyhow, this game card is incredibly useful for those who do not want to use, or do not own a credit card. It is the same cost as a 3 month subscription to the fantastic game and makes paying, a whole lot easier. ... Read more

5-0 out of 5 stars GameTime Cards the best way to go
I don't happen to have a credit card, so I can't usually purchase things through Amazon. But the cards are available at many fine game shops, and they eliminate having to use bank information over the Internet to purchase them (i.e., PayPal, etc). GameTime cards are the best way to get time for Ultima Online. ... Read more
