5-0 out of 5 stars There's is Hope!
The Gamecube, ah the Gamecube. It's good, but not good enough, but hey, that's just my opinion. I did not want a Gamecube, I did not! But I decided what the heck, I loved the original Super Smash, so I bought The Super Smash Bros. Melee. Oh my god! this game was so good, I loved it, My PS2 seems like nothing compared to Super Smash. It's a great game, and it has such a huge lasting appeal or replay value.

Gameplay: The controls are suprisingly easy, if you can button mash, this is your game, if you're not so good at controls, you need some practice. but very easy.

Graphics: C'mon, you know you like them, kicks the PS2's graphics outta the the park! And they run very smoothely. The only problem is how you can run right through people, but who cares! (8/10)

Entertainment: What do u think? So much, with the BIG variety of characters, nice variety of levels, multi-player, you know, a lot of entertainment is to be had. (10/10)

Replay Value: A lot! You'll never want to stop! Okay, you will, but you'll want to fit it into your schedule every day, yeah, it's that good!(10/10)

Difficulty: C'mon, if you think it's hard, you won't have too much luck on hard or very hard mode. (9/10)

Overall: Sure this game has it's flaws, but what game doesn't?! It should be 19.99, but it's so good, it's still 30.00, and it's a Player's Choice! Buy it, it's really, really worth it!
(9/10, overall score) (not an average)

Finally, There's hope for the Gamecube!!

Why are you reading these reviews?
This is one of the BEST GCN games out there.
Just BUY IT.

Oh, and P.S. - fire dragon99, you loser. There is not a PS2 version of this game! Stop living under a soundproof ROCK!Why would Sony publish a game LOADED with NINTENDO characters? And if the game did exist, there is no way that it would be "A lot better."PS2 Sucks and ruins games. Just go play your little PS2 nonexistent SSBM.And get a spell checker.

4-0 out of 5 stars Sweet.
This is a great game. The first time I played this game was actually at "TOYS R US" and then I played it at my friends house. I liked it so much I begged my parebnts to get it for me and eventually they did!!! I play it all the time!!! I have all of the characters. I enjoy playing this game with my friends and kicking their butts!! I love this game.

5-0 out of 5 stars The Greatest of All Nintendo Games
This game excels in every area, and does not require a multicategory review to prove it. The sequel to one of the best video games ever, this is a monumental achievement.
This game shows exactly why everyone loves Nintendo.

Well, it used to be that way.

Sony and Microsoft are celebrating over their triumph over the powerful Sega Dreamcast system, and glad that it'll probably never gain the strength to once again be a major force in video games. Now the two supergiants want Nintendo out of the picture, too. Gamers look more and more for graphics and action rather than new ideas, and since Nintendo does the latter, it won't survive long.

Sad to say this, but Nintendo's on its way out.

Here's a list I made predicting the future of games:

1.) Nintendo will die sometime during or after the next console generation. It will not be taken over by Sony or Microsoft, who will consider its games "kiddie" and "worthless".
2.) These game genres' popularity may change:
First-person shooter: Increase
Fighting: Increase
Racing: Stay the same
Platformer: Extinct
Puzzle: Extinct
RPG/Strategy: Decrease
Sports: Stay the same
3.) Future consoles will move their focus even more from games to features, such as DVD, Internet, "Home" systems, etc.
4.) Sony and Microsoft use their mighty money powers to create a monopoly for themselves.
5.) These ESRB games will:
EC: Extinct
E: Decrease
E+10: Decrease
T: Stay the same
M: Increase
AO: Increase
6.) Game systems hit a level of "Maximum realism".
7.) Game mascots (ex: Mario, Crash Bandicoot, Mega Man, etc.) will no longer exist; all characters will be realistic people.
8.) Second Great Video Game Crash will occur somewhere from 15 to 25 years from now when consumers lose interest.
9.) Sony and Microsoft in their ultimate clash; unsure if Sony or Microsoft wins.
10.) Sony and/or Microsoft easily overpower all third companies with new consoles. This leads to less variety in games and consoles.
11.) After the Second Great Video Game Crash, neither Sony nor Microsoft may be able to save the industry they've destroyed. No third companies will help, as they will have been wiped out long ago. There will be no Nintendo to pick up the industry once again, as it had in the First Great Video Game Crash of 1983 with its NES console. No telling what happens at this point.

For all those of you who play only Nintendo, buy all the Nintendo consoles and games that you can, as they'll disappear forever only less than a decade from now. If I was asked, however, which game to get first, I might recommend this one. It'll be a treasure for the ages. ... Read more

4-0 out of 5 stars IT'S VACUUMIN TIME!!!!!!!
I love this game. Last summer I played it all the time!!!! This game rocks!!!

4-0 out of 5 stars what the?
did luidi do something wrong like get bad grades or something and drop out of school and ended up being a plummer? well yea i guess he's been grounded for like a billion years from being a star of any game and if he IS a star in one the word "MARIO" is in the title and this game "luigi's mansion" oh yeaaaa he has a mansion and since he's grounded from bad grades people he has to clean the whole house with a vacum

3-0 out of 5 stars Luigi's Mansion... Not Much of an Adventure to Get Into
I've always grown up liking Mario and so when I got this game I was rather excited to see what it was all about. However, when I did get it, I was rather disappointed with what I got.

There's nothing much too special about this game: You will beat this game in a matter of hours. The bosses are terribly easy, and even the puzzles that surround the mansion aren't that challenging.

There are lots of things that annoy me about this game. First of all, Luigi moves so slowly. It's not like other Mario games where you can run extremely quickly or even fly in the air. Instead you just shuffle around on the ground. Boring.

The second thing I didn't like was you don't see a lot of the other characters you're used to seeing. I didn't see Yoshi in there, or Princess Toadstool. Instead you say a wacky Professor that just gives you a vaccume and annoys you with his chatter. Then of course you see the Boos, Mario, Toad, and Bowser but other than those characters that's about it. Quite sad.

Finally the last thing that I really didn't enjoy was the whole brightness of this game- it's too dark. I like to have parts in the game where there are some brightness, but you won't find that with this game. The only good positive about the game were the general graffics, but it's ruined with the darkness.

The music is not what it could have been, you'll get annoyed very quickly with it, and after you play through it the first time, it just gives you an option of repeating the same adventure you went through for some 'bonuses' in the game... but for me, when I went through it once, why would I go through the same mansion and the same exact puzzles again?

Go rent another video game (I'd suggest Zelda). This one isn't worth renting, and especially not buying, unless if you are a huge fan of Mario.

4-0 out of 5 stars Very fun, very cute little game
While Mario gets zillions of games to himself every year, it's not often that Luigi gets his own lead, unless you count 1993's MARIO IS MISSING on the SNES.

In this cool little game, Luigi goes Ghostbusting in a haunted mansion (one of those Scooby-Doo types) that he has mysteriously won in a competition he didn't even enter. The mansion is crawling with spooks of all kinds but Luigi get's help from a crackpot inventor living nearby. Now armed with a special vacuum cleaner, Luigi must clear every room in the mansion and find his missing brother, who has apparently vanished inside.

The gameplay is simple and very easy to get the hang of. Some of the rooms you clean up require some extra investigation and puzzle solving so be sure to check everything (I though the piano room was a cool puzzle to solve) and use your Gameboy Horror to have a good look round.

The graphics in Luigi's Mansion may not be up to the standard of Super Mario Sunshine but they're still very, very smooth and look amazing. Some of the SFX look highly realistic and there's no loading times at all between scenes. The music sounds like it's been done on a Commodore 64 and doesn't sound all that great but it's a cute little theme and I thought it was very funny when Luigi would whistle it whenever it wasn't playing.

The mansion itself isn't that big and you'll finish the game in about a week, but when you have this much fun playing it is still worthwhile.

5-0 out of 5 stars Finally! A true Luigi game for GCN!
Luigi's mansion is quite fun and fairly difficult game that has puzzles, ghost catching and entertaining boss fights. And it has two difficulty settings so once you go and beat the game you can play again only with a more powerful vacumn so that you will be able to handle the tougher ghosts of the higher difficulty.
As for the graphics on this game they are great especially the lighting and dust effects that go on while your playing.
For instance when you use the vacumn or knock on a wall you will notice realistic looking dust that acts like you would expect in
real life. And when you shine your flashlight around a dark room
you will see shadows from chairs, candle sticks and best of all they really move and grow larger or smaller as you move around the room! As for replay value I would say it's fairly high as once you beat it you can start from the beggining with more difficult ghosts and at the end the more money you have from collecting the better your prize. However once you have beat both difficulty levels and received the best surprise you will start to grow tired of it. All in all I would highly reccomend this game to Gamecube owners looking for a fun adventure that will keep you entertained for a long time to come. ... Read more

5-0 out of 5 stars 4 and 1/2 stars
Starfox Adventures is a great game, though not without its faults. Dinosaur Planet is being taken over by the evil General Scales. It's up to the Starfox Team to get him out of there!! So the great Fox McCloud sets off to accomplish just that. Along the way, you will interact with interesting characters and the plot takes a few twists and turns. Gameplay consists of finding items-do this, pull that, kill him, etc, etc. Some of the puzzles can get pretty arduous, however, so I reccomend buying the strategy guide. The game goes above and beyond in terms of length, clocking in at about 30 hours for the average gamer. To top it all off, Rare went above and beyond and made the graphics B-E-A-Utiful!!Buy!!

1-0 out of 5 stars Starfox SUCKS!
Starfox 64 was great. But now they have gone to this "Use your crappy magic staff" formula. And guess what? It was a BAD idea! What happened to getting in your ship and blasting the hell out of everything in sight!?!? You use magic powers in some dino-land, with crappy magic going on! Fox uses blaster rifles, and the arwing! Not magic staffs and ancient dinosaurs! This is a very very very boring game! Fox, whats up with the magic staffs??? THis is like taking away Arnold Swartzenegger's AK-47 and giving him a lollipop! DO NO BUY.

4-0 out of 5 stars A Different Kind Of Fox
It always becomes as a surprise about just how much Nintendo puts out there for so many of their delightful video games. Yet, with all of those characters to choose from, some of those remain as cult classics. In 1997, Nintendo hit the nail on the head with the revolutionary Star Fox 64. The game was not just groundbreaking in the game, but also for the player it was groundbreaking because you could feel what the game is like. Nintendo has tried it again with a different kind of Star Fox. This one seems more as if Fox has joined the cast of The Legend Of Zelda, rather than made it as a game of his own. No matter for Fox and Company, because they still have made it a great game to undergo.

Star Fox Adventures for the Nintendo Gamecube, is a different kind of Star Fox game. The idea of the game is to restore the Dinosaur Planet, Sauria from fatal destruction from the villainous General Scales, and the even more foolish, Andross. The game places Fox, trying to do whatever it takes to save Krystal, a young war fighter from General Scales, with the help of Tricky, and a mighty staff that can do just about anything. The graphics and the sound on the gameplay are just amazing, and gorgeous with every beautiful detail. The storyline also hits a home run as well, with each nook and cranny told beautifully. The control does function quite well as well. It is very simple to operate, and the gameplay is very well put in itself.

While some may feel that Star Fox Adventures isn't worth the challenge as it is with Star Fox 64, or the recently released Star Fox Assault for the Nintendo Gamecube, the game is really a well worth one for anybody who wants a challenge for the Gamecube. I suggest this as a add-on for anybody who is into the feel of Fox McCloud.

2-0 out of 5 stars Starts out fun but becomes boring
When I first got Star Fox I thought it was great! It was fun, hard, interesting and cool. Then when I got towards the end it got boring. It really is a bad game. If you are someone who starts to like a video game then doesn't like it you will not like this video game. I would not recommend this to most people.

5-0 out of 5 stars Exceptional (the soundtrack especially)
As you probably know from some of the other reviews above, the storyline centers around dinosaurs and putting the planet back together. Gamers who come at this looking for another sci-fi shooter will be sadly dissapointed, as this game stalks Zelda in playing style and genre. The graphics are all exceptional (some of the best!) and the music is absolutely sensational (particularly the scores in places like Thorntail Hollow, Cape Claw and Krazoa Palace) The voices are well done and acted within a realistic sense and not over dramticized. The only complaint I have is that twice when I moved the camera, these colored lines would cover 60% of the screen, clearly a bug from Tricky's programming.(Tricky is your dinosaur companion for the game.) Otherwise the programmers convey a seemless world, with a changing landscape and history. The varying tribes- the Snowhorns, Thorntails, Earthwalkers, Cloudrunners, Redeye, Hightops, Lightfoots and Sharpclaw are well presented, with even a few miscallaneous and very nasty raptors thrown in. Two storylines abound when Fox must collect both the four Spellstones and eight Krazoa spirits and then return them to their rightful places. While this leads to quite a bit of temple-trotting, it doesn't feel tedious as the programmers mix things up to keep it interesting. Overall, this is what people mean when they talk about a quality game. ... Read more

In Super Monkey Ball, you're in control of a cute little monkey trapped inside a transparent ball. The objective of the game is deceptively simple: tilt the floor with your analog stick so that your monkey ball rolls towards the goal. Your success is all in the thumb: the more you tilt, the faster the ball rolls. Just be sure not to fall off the edges! You can play with up to four others to see who can master the tilt and get their monkeys to the finish line ahead of the pack. ... Read more

5-0 out of 5 stars The best game ever!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I played it twice and just had to buy it!! Everyone should like this game so just BUY IT!!!

5-0 out of 5 stars Excellent Game
My family enjoys the Mario Party games, and are always looking for games that are similar in gaming style. This is a really comparable game with a lot of interesting ideas. There are many ways to play each with benefits.

There is regular play which is much like the old "Marble" game, piloting a ball up and down slopes, across narrow passages, until you reach the goal.It gets harder as you go higher in stages. In this method of play you can earn points to unlock more games such as bowling.

In party mode, you can race, fight, and play monkey target (my personal favorite).Monkey target is rolling your ball down a hill, and then taking off for flight at the end of the ramp. Then you navigate the ball through the air trying to reach one of the targets.Close the ball when you think you have good aim, and hope you stay on receiving points for where you landed on the target.

Definately a good game for a group of people, and entertaining enough to hold a solo player's interests.

5-0 out of 5 stars not for kids who want to win
I had never heard of the Gamecube title called Super Monkey Ball before I walked into my friend's bedroom to find it sitting on the shelf.I proceeded to inspect the game case and eventually realized my friend was actually playing the game at the time.So I sat down and watched him for a bit before he eventually asked me if I'd like a go.I said sure and within 24 hours I owned this mother of a gem.

If you've never played this game or it's sequel, you are missing out on some serious fun.

For starters, there is a pretty good amount of things to do in this game, from the basic story mode, which is insanely difficult for the most part, to the mini-games, like bowling and flying. The games are fun and addictive, espescially with a friend or two.You will find yourself going round after round, rolling down a huge ramp only to be shot off the end and launched into the clear blue sky.You then open your ball up and use it as a glider to navigate your monkey through the air and try to land of score specific targets floating in the water. If you miss, you fall in the water and get nothing except a whining monkey, who is also drowning for a brief period of time.

I can't really say too much about this game that isn't just praising the fun level of it.There really is no story, you are just a group of monkeys and for some reason they are in balls.I really don't know the story behind that.

So go out and buy this game, or have a swarm of angry, monkey-toting balls on your hands...wait a minute, that doesn't sound right...

5-0 out of 5 stars Wicked fun for everyone
So cool every one has a blast. You can race fight and all the time your monkey its so wicked cool!

5-0 out of 5 stars It's great!
Hey everyone, I just wanted to say that supermonkey ball is a nice, safe and fun game. I really enjoyed the racing. I played it with my brother and we had a great time. This is a good family game. There are a lot of party games to choose from, and they are all fun. So if you were thinking about buying it you should, I promise you won't regret it! ... Read more

4-0 out of 5 stars Frustrating
Okay, so yeah this game was alright. Graphics were astounding in their clarity and realism, but I have to say, the stupid miasma stream started to seriously grind on my nerves. When I first started the game and beat the first three boss monsters i completely forgot to change the crystal chalice's element to fire. How the hell was I to know that I would need it in the future? I mean, really, the element of the nest stream was earth so I naturally thought I needn't worry about the fire element. Stupid, stupid, stupid! When I got to the nest level I was completely lost and unable to continue, thus forcing me to start the game over, again. Someone please shoot me...

4-0 out of 5 stars Another reason why I value technology over magic
My brother owns this game, and he got me to play it through the GBA connectivity. This is the first (and only) Final Fantasy game I've ever played, and while he likes it, I think it's got several good ideas which are never fully used. As I have for my Amazon.com reviews of Metroid Prime 2: Echoes and Rayman DS, I shall now give this game a Multi-Category Review. For those of you unfamiliar with my review system, I rate a game on 7 separate categories, which I call Graphics, Sound, Plotline, Control, Glitches, Entertainment, and Replay value, and I rate on a scale of 1 (worst) to 10 (best), which I find works better than a five-star rating system (sorry, Amazon). Then I take an average of each rating to create a final Overall Rating.

Well, let's see how well this game does its magic tricks.

GRAPHICS: One word here: WOW. No, seriously, this almost looks like a game from the next console generation. Spell effects are astounding, water effects are even better than Pikmin's (and that game up until this point had the best water effects around), and character models are excellent. Even the Moogles (which I call flying hamsters) have fur effects rivaling those in StarFox Adventures: Dinosaur Planet. I can't see why I would give this category any less than a perfect rating. RATING: 10

SOUND: The music fits perfectly and sounds excellent, but boss battle and main menu music has no variety. RATING: 8

PLOTLINE: You live in some magical happy place that's not so happy now that the land is covered with a "miasma" which burns any who touch it to death. The people protect themselves with big crystals that generate force fields that keep out this airborne poison, which must be recharged with myrrh once a year. That's where you come in. Playing as either a Clavat (which I call a slowpoke), a Yuke (some bird thingie), a Selkie (who are thieves), or a Lilitie (an angry midget), you must go on a crystal caravan and fight the same bosses and enemies over and over to get your precious myrrh. If the concept doesn't already seem to be a coincidental rip-off of Metroid Prime 2: Echoes's Dark Aether, the action can get repetitive, and some stages are just way too long. The miasma stream areas are just annoying, and the game obviously tries but fails to create a deep and engaging storyline.
Sorry, Crystal Chronicles. Maybe in the upcoming sequel for the DS. RATING: 6

CONTROL: Single-player is near perfect, but multiplayer GBA smells like Moogle droppings. The D-pad is never a good substitute for a control stick, and accessing items is tedious, bogs down the rest of the group, and leaves you wide open to attack. Here, it's a mixed bag. RATING: 6.5

GLITCHES: Thankfully, this game has no glitches or bugs, except for the occasional collision issue. The miasma must have wiped them all out. RATING: 9

ENTERTAINMENT: There are other games that are more enjoyable, but there are also some which Crystal Chronicles beats. RATING: 7

REPLAY VALUE: Good for the first few years in the game, then you'll quit. RATING: 5

OVERALL RATING: 7.4

A FINAL WORD: This is just an average game. Now, if you'll excuse me, I have to go exterminate some more Ing for U-Mos in Metroid Prime 2. ... Read more

4-0 out of 5 stars Fun can't last 4-ever, but it could've been longer than this
I bought the Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban
game on Gamecube systom four days ago.I am a horrible game player, and yet, I beat the game in two days. Not because it was easy, (even though some parts were,) but because it was
soooo SHORT.It was VERY fun, but I was quit dissapointed on not facing a boggart on the first day of term, and how you get the patronus charm spell book, and you don't get to save Buckbeak, and don't do as much as SEE a broomstick. However, the parts that were in it were very enjoyable.I was also pleased the makers of the game took notice of other creatures such as Redcaps & Hinnkypunks.I LLLLOOOOVVVEEE Harry Potter, and I think the game could have been better, but I would advise buying it.

5-0 out of 5 stars Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban
This is a good game. Well, I'm a Harry Potter freak and own all four (counting the QWC). But, this game is just that...good. Let me say that it's very, very short. Let me give you an example. I bought it at the mall at about eleven, came home and ate lunch, went into my room and played the game in the length of one o'clock and six o'clock. I finished it as my mom called for dinner. But, this game has some really fun mini games and is even more enjoyable if you own the GameBoy Advance and the GBA version of the game. But I was kind of disappointed that there was no Quidditch or extended game play. Don't get me wrong, playing it over is fun. But, it's just sucks that I could finish it in about six hours. As any other Harry Potter game the music and landscape is great but it can become choppy and can sometimes freeze up. Another big plus to this game is that you can play as Ron, Harry, and Hermione and use their talents and knowledge to get past certain puzzles. But, the downfall of this is that Harry still is the main played character. When I heard all of them were playable I thought they would finally do everything together. Go on and face Voldemort together unlike the first two video games. Turns out Ron (like movie and book) was hurt always hurt or looking for Scabbers and Hermione always ran to get help or was hurt. Sometimes you would just play as Ron or Hermione but Harry had the best inventory of spells and items. But, it is very cool to travel through Hogwarts again and find all the Wizard Cards I missed and to re-live my favorite parts of the game. Over all, I recommend it!!!

5-0 out of 5 stars This game rocks in 2004!!!!!
I am seven years old and I bought this game because I loved the movie.I thought it would be better than the movie.First, you wake up and go to Dark Arts class and while you're there you have to get the spell book and you have to be all three people (Harry, Ron and Hermione).Harry tries first. He is the only one that can jump, which I thought was cool. Then, Ron tries to get the secret passage open successfully.Next, Hermione asks Ron if there is anything in the secret passage.Ron says that it is dark and painful. There are scary creatures in the passage. He fights them.He goes and fights pixies, then he finds his way back.I think this game is popular. My friend has already finished it.I would suggest this game for ages 7+.I think you would like this game a lot if you're seven.

2-0 out of 5 stars Another Trap for HP Fans
This game looks and plays like it was made for great screenshots and nothing else. Of course, the ability to control anyone in your group is nice, but what do you think happens to them while you are not controling them? They are running into the middle of the pack of enemies getting themselves killed instead of staying back and casting spells. Then, when you go to fight enemies that only one spell can harm, like Lomos Duo, the only person who can hurt those enemies happens to be dead! I still wonder why EA chose to go with such a stupid AI.

The graphics of the character are nice, but the scenery is 2-D, which takes away from the splendor of the graphics. The pitiful graphics make the game lag considerably. You would think that because every Gamecube is the same EA would have made the game not lag.

The puzzles seem to be made for mindless 7 year olds with very little common sense. They just take a long time to complete because it takes forever to manuver the crates, boxes and ice cubes which are all plentiful in the puzzles. I also must comment on the tiny list of spells.

There are not many side quests at all. There are only about three: Find the Statues, Find the Cards and the minigames. The minigames are short and easy and do not make up for the fact that QUIDITCH IS NOT INCLUDED. Flying Buckbeak does not make up for the good old broomstick.

The game world is very small. No floors or dungeons to explore as an extra. Just 7 floors, a dungeon (Potions) and the outside that makes the small inside seem even smaller.

The action part is way too easy. I can count on one hand the number of times I was hit by an enemy. There are also about 7 different varieties of them, so you need to get used to hitting the same thing over and over. Also, the NPCs are as lifeless as heck. They don't help advance the plot at all. The plot is very confusing if you havent read the book. I don't even think they ever mentioned Sirius Black had even escaped from Azkaban.

Overall, this game is the second worst I have ever played. Bad planning and a heavy profit motive ruined what could have been a very good game.

4-0 out of 5 stars Best book in series=almost great game
With terrific graphics and wonderful voice acting one can see the polish immediately when playing Harry Potter:POA for the first time.Hogwart's looks incredible and the controls are smooth and intuitive for the most part with the camera getting a little wonky on occasion. My son and I play this together he likes it when we play as Ron since he can find all the hidden goodies. The ability to switch between the main characters of Harry, Ron, Hermione is fun and adds a new dimension as you need to use each of them to solve the puzzles. The lack of a Quidditch match is disconcerting but is made up for by the HIPPOGRIFF and OWL flight challenges.Add a save anywhere system and some downloadable GBA mini-games you have a worthy addition to the Harry Potter game library. ... 5-0 out of 5 stars better than you think
I just picked this up because I like war games and it was my (...). It was this or the original splinter cell. WOW! The first level took me forever and I thought the game was gonna suck but then I got past it and i could not stop playing finally my friends came over and i realized i had been playing for almost 3 HOURS! It is very accurate according to history and has many quotes. My favorite is easily 'And when he gets to Heaven To Saint Peter he will tell: One more soldier reporting, Sir -- I've served my time in Hell' it is a beautiful game and you should definitely pick it up.

5-0 out of 5 stars EXCELLENT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
When i bought this game i couldn't wait to play it. The first mission is pretty easy and so is the last mission. The guns are really good my favorite one is the thompson. I just beat it today. The multi-player mode is fun but not much use if you don't have a brother or sister. I try to get my sister to play but she always says no or i have to do my homework. So overall it's an EXCELLENT game. if you get the chance buy it.

4-0 out of 5 stars Good
This is a good game, but I have some peeves about it. The graphics and action are good. The multiplayer is fun. However, the up/down controls are way too sensitive (at least for an "urban warfare" paintballer). Not to mention that the fire is on R instead of A (like every other game). Otherwise, pretty good.

5-0 out of 5 stars This game is awesome!!!!!!!!!! (Trust me; I beat it)
This was THE most interesting war game I've ever played. It consists of a unique control setup and is very spellbinding.
It can captivate players in a torrent of excitement and "on the edge of your seatness." If you ever hear of something better, just ignore it.

Example: I was exploring Level #2,and I realized ,(for I didn't read the manual),that you can mount machine guns. I love them now.

A drawback: if you mount a machine gun, extra men pop out of nowhere and pan you down.

Overall: I think that the controls were a little unorthadox, but this was the best game on my current console: the Nintendo Gamecube::way better than MOH rising sun.WAY, WAY, WAY better.

~20 authentic WWII weapons
~Different damage settings
~extremely accurately designed characters
~1-4 Players
~Unique controller configuration
~INCREDIBLE graphics
~19 invigorating levels
~1 AWESOME GAME

WARNING: This game may cause players to not be able to remove their controllers from their hands;Play with caution. (That is, if you don't enjoy endless gaming, of course.)

5-0 out of 5 stars MOH Frontline was Sweet!
The gamecube version is awesome with the 4 player multiplayer mode, but it would have been cool to have bots like in MOH Rising Sun.It has a lot of missions, which makes it even better! ... Read more

3-0 out of 5 stars Itchy and Scratchy show
I purchased this for my daughter who loves Tom and Jerry. She is 8 (yes, I know it has a teen rating), and she mastered the game in literally 3 minutes. She worked right through all the levels quickly. It wasn't a total loss as she finds the violent humor funny. It truly is like watching the Itchy and Scratchy show from the Simpsons.A quick to play, master and move on type of game. Not bad for the money though if you consider a rental is around $3.00 where I live. She will continue to play it just because she can control her favorite cartoon characters.

3-0 out of 5 stars It's 'Alright', But could have been Better
Tom and Jerry War of the Whiskers is actually a cute game that has the T rating, although you would never notice it. It is also released on both systems: GameCube and PS2. Of Course, both versions are the same.

The Pros:

WOTW (War of the Whiskers) is a fun fighting game that allows you to play as characters from the beloved 'Tom and Jerry' series (You start out with only Tom and Jerry, and unlock the others as yo go) There are also different areas based on the series, (With cute area names such as "Sinking Feline") and 75 different weapons to use. You can customize everything including the difficultly of the game, which increases on its own pace eventually. The graphics are cute and cuddly, and smooth as the series. The voices are fairly done aswell, and the enviroments of the areas have nice detailings. There are also 2 bosses in this game : Monster Jerry and Robot Cat. Both eventually become playable in any mode except for the main mode.

The Cons:

Although there are 75 different weapons, they all have basically the same effect and power. Also, the characters you unlock are basically skins of the orignal characters ("Spike" and "Tyke" for example, and "Tom" + "Butch"...they all have the same moves and movement styles) There is also absolutely no replay value here: Once you've went through the main mode and unlocked all the characters, there is basically nothing to do but play 2-player mode with a friend. The challenging difficultly can sometimes be annoying, also. Be sure to set the game in easy mode during your first play-through.

You should only get this game if you are a fighting-game type fan, and if you are a big fan of the classic "Tom and Jerry" series.

3-0 out of 5 stars Nice ... If it worked.
I played the game with my kids. It's simple enough to let them play and have fun.
The problem lies in the fact that it CRASHES after EACH LEVEL!
Not worth buying an un-finished game.

3-0 out of 5 stars Bad at first- Good at last!
This game does suck in the beginning, but doesn't when you get all the characters and stages. This game is nothing like Super Smash Brothers Meele, because you hardly have any room to run and when a character punches you, you lose the weapon! How disapointing! The game is super easy and is more designed for children. I unlocked every character and stage within about 3 hours! This game is a total iffy, so I am just warning adults not to buy this item if you are an expert player ( Never mind the Teen rating, there is hardly any rough violence in it!) but for kids, this is an excellent game.

4-0 out of 5 stars I BET ITS VERY FUNNY

4-0 out of 5 stars Great Game
I really enjoy this game. The only thing I don't like about it is they put limits on build and buy modes. I almost always end up at the limits and needing to buy more lights or something. They need to drop that. They also need to release a console version of Unleashed expansion from the PC line.

5-0 out of 5 stars I'm playing this 24/7
The Sims is a great game cube game.I didn't play on my game cube very much until I got this game.In this game, you can play two games: Get A Life or The Sims.In Get A Life, you start out by living with your mom, but later you get your own house and a job. Then, you need to get a promotion in your job so that you can be room mates with the "cool" people. It's hard to get a promotion, because in order to get a promotion, your Sim has to be happy.He/she can't be hungry, dirty, tired, smelly, etc.In The Sims (different then Get A Life but still on this game cube CD) you can create people in your own neighborhood, create houses, and put chairs, TV's, computers, and any household item in the houses. You can make friends, throw parties, order pizza, insult neighbors...but life doesn't go so smooth.Sometimes there are robberies at your Sims house, and you can lose your job if you aren't careful...

This game is great, and I know what you just read above is confusing, but if you get this game, you'll love it.

4-0 out of 5 stars The Sims
This is a great game.Getting jobs, having houses, and getting to know your neighbors is great fun! You get to have pets, go to parties, and design you own house. The creativity is infininte.
I would recomend it for 13 and up because of sugestive themes.

3-0 out of 5 stars Cant get far
Well I do have to admit it is fun at first in Get A Life (single player story mode). But on the 3rd level it suddenly jumps to a horrendous pain in the back (can't say what I want to say here). You are somehow supposed to level your character's job level, throw a party (may I add it must be a good party), make a friend at the party and ask to move in with them, and keep watch on your stats. The stats are the biggest problem because your character needs you to tell him/her what to do and when to do it, so basically they will wet themselves if you dont tell them to take a bathroom brake. But also your stats screw with improving your job because he won't practice/workout/etc.if something is too low in his stats. Also it is very difficult to throw a good party whe you need to work, and keep watchin your stats (this word's startin to bug me).I hope this helps you make the right decision, but if you go your own way and beat level 3, tell me how lol.

3-0 out of 5 stars Should have been much better
Dont spend your money on this game. I bought it because it looked fun. It is a bad game. The gameplay itself seems to be the biggest flaw. The 'get a life' mode is boring because my sim refuses to look for a job. Why cant my sim talk to the people outside like the mailman? Maybe I dont get the game. ... Read more

3-0 out of 5 stars No Halo 2, but... well...
Custom Robo did it's part in delivering good gameplay. Well when I say gameplay, I means pressing 'b' over and over and over again. It's pretty fun. THe fault? storyline! You are a bounty hunter... well sorta, not really. you join the police force and figure out about this evil robot thing. Then you kill it. WHoever came up with this wasn't very creative! I'd rather watch beethoven's 6th symphony than go throught this story! Rent it, and save yourself some money. The story in crap. If you are a custom robo fan-boy and would like to complain to me, email me at ptalen@charter.net. and for the love of god use spell check...

5-0 out of 5 stars AWESOME!!!!
Custom robo is one of the best games ever!!!!!I have already beaten story mode, almost grand battle, unlock chickenheart, ray legend, rahu 1 and 2,ruhiel, and lots more.Ifound pods to be really usless unless you like hiding in corners like a coward.Anyway, really fun game.Great multiplayer.Enoughunlockables for you to go outsideand kill your self....Oh, and all the secret characters are in grand battle in the outside world(im pretty sure).Rahu 1 is in isabellas mansion or the place with the green watery stuff, you have to get at the very edge of it, go left(youll be in a secret passage)go up, then right, and when you can see yourself in the water,go as right as you can and pressA.Rahu 2 is in the bronze cup.when you have to fight lucy, keep talking to her over and over till she gives you him. Those are to of the many things you can unlock(and look for rahu 3 in the silver cup battle royal!) and many incredably powerful illegal parts you can use like worm(and upgraded dragon gun)and much more. One of the best robos is ray legend, an obsolete illegal robo that has a hard to use but powerful charge attack, a weak defense and dwn,but recovers in a second from being knocked down.Wow, ive told you toooooo many unlockable guys, but not all of them(muahahahahahah) but overral, and extremly fun game that can get really hard!Oh, and here is a small secret for you custom robo lovers.......a sequel is coming out, custom robo 2.I think you can fuse robos........anyway, a game worth getting the gamecube for.

5-0 out of 5 stars Man, this game sucks..... PFFFT!!! YEAH RIGHT!!!!
This game is awesome, and I know that I'm late on this review now that it's in the middle of December, but I can guaratee you, this game IS THEE GAME!! What's better than the robots killing and mangling eachother on N64? MORE ROBOTS! Yeah sure, many older kids may not like the storyline, but all of the kickass fights make up for that and more!! Im a soon to be 14 year old who just can't get enough of this game!he graphics are awesome, the Customization is SUPERIOR! and to top it all off, once you get good enough, YOU, the game freak, can play as THEE BOSS!!! RAHU III!!! You will have fun on a bun with this game! I give this game Infinity of 10!!! This is the perfect game for all ages! This was a taste of what the game is! Get this for Christmas! For Hanaka! Kwanza! Your Birthday! New Years! For whatever reason, because the soon you have this game, THEE GAME of the year, no, LIFE, you will actually enjoy life!!!!
Your Game Freak,
Not You, Gamer Glacier, Someone

P.s. Merry Christmas and have a Happy New Year!!!

5-0 out of 5 stars Custom Robo Review
This game is one of the best action games I have ever played. As soon as I started playing the story mode I couldn't stop playing it until I finished it.The story in the game is very deep and compelling and the characters are really interesting. It's okay as a multiplayer game, but I enjoyed it more when I played it by myself. There are so many ways to customize your robo, the possibilities are almost endless. The difficulty level of this game isn't too high, either,so even younger gamers should enjoy this title.

4-0 out of 5 stars Custom Robots But Think Pokemon Simple And Yet Complex
The singleplayer mode is nothing more than a very long and drawn out tutorial. The decisions you make won't have any real latsting effects on the outcome of the game. So it's a tame RPG. The story is rather good and a follows a nice sci-fi tone.

What really makes this game shine is the number of Robo and parts. Even after playing the singleplayer through there are still more things to unlock in the Grand Battle. The controls are slick and simple. You'll have to learn what weapons to use in certain situations. It's also not a very good button mashing fighter. You'll have to think things out and use the levels to your advantage.

Multiplayer is the best part of the game. The camera could use some work when four players are onscreen. Each Robo class tailors to personal tactics. There are light fast robos and tanks. The are variations in abilites from light to heavy. Some might have better air speed, ground speed, or control. Just because your Robo is "light" doesn't make it fast.

Teach your friends how to play and unlock as much as you can solo. There's little real learning curve in the game. Buy this game for the incredible customization and multiplayer. I feel that the singleplayer "RPG" had potential but it wasn't carried out to its fullest. ... Read more

4-0 out of 5 stars Cool
This is a fun game!It gets a bit hard and complicated in places, but I still like it!

5-0 out of 5 stars One of those hard to find games
I don't mean by my title that this game is hard to find. More that a game as well done as this only comes around once and a while. I spent about 20 hours exploring the world of Hylis. 20 hours which seemed to be only 10-15 hours. Time passes much faster outside the little bubble of blissful ignorance that will form around you while playing this game because, frankly, the outside world will seem to fade as you almost become Jade, becoming increasingly immersed in the beautiful yet dark world of Beyond Good and Evil.

The game opens with an alien attack by creatures known as the Domz. After a simple battle, you recieve your camera and can begin exploring your small island home, which also happens to be a lighthouse. When you first get the camera, you'll recieve one of the game's main side quests: photographing all the world's animals. This quest continues throught the game and takes a bit of work to complete, although you won't regret it. It is one of the most entertaining mini-games I have ever seen, keeping you entertained durring and between misions. After you've finished photographing the animals and exploring the environment, you begin you're adventure by recieving a speedboat from your best friend and companion, Pay'j.

Before I go on to mention anything else, I should probably go into detail about the environment. Although the game's graphics are often very cartoony, the cartoon world of Hylis comes alive in the form of the teeming life you see everywhere around you. There are the small things, such as the detailed rock walls of caverns, to the way the water moves, to all the people walking out on the streets. Everything just seems so alive that it will seem almost magical. The game also has a wonderful distance engine, which allows the player to see things from a very large distance, such as a whale leaping from the water, or other boats, or even the larger details of the game's several islands.

While running around taking pictures and fighting evil is fun, it is just as much fun to cruise around on the speed boat and the rocket ship, once you get it. While there is some fighting and picture taking to be had aboard the ship, it was not quite frequent enough for me, and I had to just make due with the 3 boat race courses and the four smugglers caverns, with the occasional Domz attack.

The main collectible in this game is the pearl, and pearls are required to progress through the game, with some additional pearls added in to give you more choice as to what quests to perform to progress in the game. The games quests vary. While you will get pearls automatically for progression in the game's rich plot, you will also have to take pictures of animals, fight some hidden Domz, win boat races, defeat smugglers, infiltrate government buildings in which pearls are held, and other little quests, many involving the perchase of pearls. Also, to avoid all the annoying serching that most games have to get the last collectibles, you can buy an item that will label pearl and animal locations on your map so that you have an idea of where to look, although it won't tell you how to get them.

The puzzles in the game are very well done, and, for the most part, simple. There is one puzzle later on that is quite well done because it is hard without being contrived or ridiculously pointless or anything else that can be complained about. Other puzzles involve finding clever ways of sneaking past guards or getting over a wall. It's one of those games where solving puzzles isn't extremely difficult as long as you look for the game's hints, yet still give a very rewarding feeling after their completion.

Almost done... This game isn't exactly an action game. Like in most RPGs, you can't fall of edges into bottomless pits, although enemies can kill you. Jade will do most jumping and action oriented moves by herself, leaving you to fight monsters and solve puzzles. The controls are very responsive and should never frustrate the player, especially with the fantastic camera, which places itself in basically the best position almost automatically, although there are sometimes when it would be nice to be able to move it. This makes doing battle simple, although it's not to hard to begin with. Most enemies are slow to attack and give you plenty of time to prepare a good strategy to dealing with them.

To wrap up, I need to mention the two most surprising things about this game. First off, it had almost no bugs that I could find. I found one spot where I fell through a floor, but I can only blame myself for that one, and it was easy to avoid the spot once I knew what I did to get into it. Did I mention that there are save points EVERYWHERE, so you never have to worry about getting really far and then getting stuck having to turn it off and losing 30 minutes of playing. Also, being killed only places you back at the entrance of a room, making some of the more frustrating sneaking bits much less so. The other bug was simply a quest desription bug on Salene which described the Pay'j quest as the "escaping the Slaughterhouse" quest. Other than that, I had no problems with the game's mechanics. Another surprise in this game was the increadible music, which had a great Latin feel and really got your feet moving and sometimes your head moving from side to side.

This game's story line never lets up and keeps you on the edge of your seat right up till the fantastic final battle. There were even several spots (especially the lighthouse bit near the end), when I almost cried because of the game's extremely emotional presentation. The only irritating thing is that the game seems to have one of those 'prepare for a sequal' endings, with some little loose ends to tie up, yet I have heard no plans for one as of yet. I'll have to keep my eyes peeled, I guess.

Anyway, if you're still reading this (I didn't realize I had this much to say about BG&E, sorry), this game goes beyond good and bad and reaches a level which few games attain of utter perfection. Every little thing in this game is thrown at you in just the right amount to entertain you, yet keep you begging for more. If you can find this game used, it makes a great addition to anyone's collection, but even new it's still a great deal for a great game.

5-0 out of 5 stars Short but sweet
Like most reviews, I'm going to have to say this game was short but good. The style and originality of this game makes up for its short storyline.

The Characters - excellent detail on the characters and a wide range of different species, Jade, the woman you control is a human but most of the other characters are animals such as Pey'J the Pig.

The Storyline - though short, this is a very original and creative game.Basically, Jade and Pey'J are in the middle of a war against the so-called heros The Alpha Sections and the Domz. But the twist is the Alpha Sections are actually with the Domz and the Iris is the good team, who get Jade on their side.Jade must save the victims before it's too late.

The Graphics - amazing design and beautiful landscape. It may seem quite simple but it's actually quite brilliant. The water seems lifelike and the crystals and such as "pretty".

The Gameplay - Smooth moving.Jade jumps, runs and walks with ease.Very easy to get used to but you can get frustrated at times when you want Pey'J to do something and he's not coming, etc.

The Enemies - Pretty simple, until the final battle. The final battle shows you, Jade, fighting against some strange being. At first it's not too hard but after the controls get reversed, it's actually quite hard.Make sure you have lots of food to refill your health!

Overall - this game is great, I only rented it and I beat it within days but it's still good.I would consider buying it if I found it at a cheap price just so I could play over and over again. The downside is if you save while on the moon, you will never get to go back.I would suggest saving though because most likely you will die somewhere on the moon and then you'll have to redo the whole thing.Make sure you've done everything you've wanted to do before going to the moon.Have fun!

5-0 out of 5 stars Excellent Game
True, this game is a little short, but an incredible game none the less.We loved it!

5-0 out of 5 stars What a fantastic sleeper!
Wow, so little fanfare for such an excellent game. Gorgeous from start to finish, excellent movement and large worlds fully explorable. Characters are charming, funny, too bad we only get limited voice interactions. Beautiful and believable environments, visually on a par with Halo, if not better. Races are addictively fun, if not a little too easy, interesting plotting and pacing. This is a ten out of ten, should absolutely have been game of the year! ... Read more

5-0 out of 5 stars I love this game - addicting and fun!
At first the game took a while to adjust to - it is strange, incredibly fast paced, and good times all around.Great for if you're in the mood to get the adrenaline going with a few close friends.

I'm hooked!!

1-0 out of 5 stars I did not like this game
Although Wario is one of my favorite Nintendo characters, this game definitely has knocked him down the rank a little.I guess I was not expecting the raw anime that this game has.I was very dissapointed.

4-0 out of 5 stars super fun but the control is bad sometimes

Super fun game with many crazy mini-games to beat. I have beaten the first boss. The single player mode is fun but practice is even funnier. It's super hard but oh so damm funny.

5-0 out of 5 stars Excellent Combination of Games
"WarioWare Inc. Mega Party Game$" is the sequel to a Game Boy Advance title, and can be enjoyed by hardcore gamers and old-school players alike! This game features several classic Nintendo Entertainment System and Super NES titles, as well as micro morsels based on arcade and Atari 2600 games and those that are just plain obscure.

This is the type of game which can be enjoyed without a second player, but "Multi-Player Mode" is the best. Games like "Listen to the Doctor" and "Outta My Way!" uniquely use the micro games to dish out delight!

Final Thoughts: There is nothing to dislike about this game. My highest game score in on Metroid, which I played several times before losing.

4-0 out of 5 stars Hysterical in more ways than one!
My friend rented this game on a whim when a bunch of us were just hanging out. We always had 4 people playing and a room full of people watching. Either way, the game is so much fun. The gameplay is confusing at first, but you can pick it up pretty quickly. And even if you can't figure it out, the insanity of it all is hilarious. 5-second mini-games with one word commands for instructions play against back drops of dance music growing constantly faster, balloons being inflated at rapid speed to blow you clear to the moon, or the sight of your friends stealing your cards while your back is turned.

There are 3 party versions and a one-player version. I suggest playing as a group. I laughed so hard my stomach ached. We stayed up for hours playing this game. We didn't even care who won, we enjoyed it so much. There are even classic Nintendo games thrown into the mix. Anyone remember that fly-swatter game from Mario Paint? Ok, I won't say anymore. If I give too much away, it won't be as funny when you see it.

Great for any age person, with a room full of good friends. ... Read more

5-0 out of 5 stars Nice!
Four Swords Adventures is definitely a great buy. It's interesting gameplay coupled with multiplayer modes and Tingle's tower minigames add to the replayability. The graphics suck, but that was only to fit all the gameplay... though I hate the level system as opposed to the world map but then again, some levels would be unaccessable... but anyway this game owns, you should buy it and show it to your friends, but if you don't have Gameboy Advances, the GBA/CGN Cable or friends... the replayability value drops by 1 point, it's still a solid game.

5-0 out of 5 stars One word: SWEET!!!!
I just bought The Legend of Zelda Four Swords adventure and haven't been able to put it down. I haven't tried any of the multiplayer modes because i do not have a second cable yet but i plan to purchase one tomorrow and try them out. Even just playing single player this game is a blast. Though the graphics are so-so the gameplay is really fun. At first i was one of those people who thought that Gameboy to Gamecube was a stupid idea and it would never work. Well i was wrong this game has changed my mind. I love the whole Gameboy Advance thing it makes the game a lot better. The only one thing i must say is this isn't your traditional type of Zelda its more of an Arcade style like the kind you would find in a arcade that you would pay a nickle for. The game is divided into levels and you complete each level. You don't really collect items though its more of a one time thing. Overall i found this game really fun and challenging so I would recommend it to anyone who has a GBA and a GCN.

5-0 out of 5 stars Conflict: Desert Storm II
Desert Storm II is unique due to the fact that you operate a small team of four elite soldiers both in single player mode or in multi-player mode. One by one, you have to select and move your soldiers into position.Soldiers have access to a large variety of weapons and can swap items between one another. What I like most about this game is that the weapons operate as they would in real life. For example, if you plant a C-4 explosive and then detonate it when you are close, you will kill yourself.Novices will love the machine gun options. You can adjust the gun settings for semi-auto, fully auto, and grenade launch (for guns equipped).Skilled players will love the sniper rifle, which has the capacity to zoom in on an enemy even from great distances. It seems that anything that is possible in real life, is also possible in this game. You will never find yourself saying, "Why can't I...I should be able to..." Each mission offers a new style of excitement. You will face off against infantry, tanks, helicopters, and you will defuse or blow-up weapons of mass destruction. This game offers challenge without the frustration. I recommend playing the "training" sessions before going into war.The training sessions will teach you how to operate the weapons and all their advanced features.I would highly recommend this game for a teenager or more mature player due to the level of strategy and realism.Adult players will be satisfied. This game is worth every penny.

5-0 out of 5 stars a good rewiew
this is one of the best games I ever played it is worth the money it willmake you happy

5-0 out of 5 stars cool and easy
get this game. you will like.I got and played for 1 hour and loved it.

5-0 out of 5 stars Individuality equals Superiority
The thing that makes the Conflict: Desert Strorm series different is the ability to control more than one soldier at a tiume. This is an improvement on the other war games whereit is mainly one action hero behind enemy lines who can take out incredible numbers of enemy soldiers, and win the war singlehandedly. ODS2's graphics are amazing and the Co-ops multiplayer was a wonerful touch. normally in video games I get wiped all over by the people sitting right next to me, but in this game we can play on the same team. perfect for the losers out there who cant beat their older (or younger) sibling. The sound quality was great and the maps are far superior to that of Socom. All in all this is a must have game for all war lovers.

5-0 out of 5 stars tru game
if you a fan of socom..........get this game cuz its 4 gamecube n my opinion is that it blows socom away. it is also better than the first one. although the first one is good too.it is madd realistic n it like tha war goin on in iraq rite now.....this game is ill pick up a copy ... Read more
