5-0 out of 5 stars Finally---a decent FUN game for younger beginning gamers!
My daughter loves this game!

We have been pretty frustrated with many of the games we have gotten. It seems they make games for kids who spend hours every day on the gamecube so can hone their skills to high levels. There didn't seem to be much that wasn't babyish for kids who use gamecube for recreational fun and aren't olympic gamers!

Well TY is great. Graphics are good, sound is fine, and the platform is fun and enjoyable. Challenging but NOT overtly frustrating. Highly recommended!

5-0 out of 5 stars Cool Tiger yo!
Ty is really, really fun! You're a Tiger, and you go through different events. I played it all day, until my parents made me start playing "DDR". But after I was done, I started playing Ty again.

5-0 out of 5 stars Ty the Tasmanian Tiger is an awesome game!
When I first saw the game, I thought it looked really weird. But it was cheap and looked pretty fun so I bought it anyway. It turns out that it is a great game.It provides hours of fun! ... Read more

1-0 out of 5 stars Unrealistic
In real baseball, there are no such things as batting cursors. In real baseball, hitting mechanics don't involve placing a stupid cursor to a certain spot according to the type of pitch the hitter estimates will be thrown (the cursor becomes a shade of red if you've guessed it right in this game but not always a guarantee the pitch will be delivered in that particular area). In real baseball, you simply keep your eye on the ball and simply time your swing just right if its at all hittable. Contact can be made here, but not so much with skill, but blind luck. I give it 1 star for decent graphic detail but tah.. that's it.

4-0 out of 5 stars OUTSTANDING!
I AM A BASEBALL FANATIC. I LIVE AND BREATH FOR THE MONTH OF APRIL TO COME AROUND. I HAVE PLAYED JUST ABOUT EVERY BASEBALL GAME EVER MADE FOR ANY SYSTEM. FOR CHRISTMAS MY BEST FRIEND IN THE WHOLE WORLD GOT ME A GAMECUBE. I WENT RIGHT OUT AND BOUGHT TWO BASEBALL GAMES MLB SLUGFEST 2003 AND ALLSTAR BASEBALL 2003. SLUGFEST WAS OK BUT ALLSTAR BASEBALL WAS HIGHLY DISAPPOINTING. THE GRAPHICS WERE OK BUT THE GAME PLAY JUST STUNK. I WAS SO MAD THAT I TOOK IT BACK AND TRADED IT FOR THIS GAME CALLED.........
HOMERUN KING. I WAS ABSOLUTLEY STUNNED BY THE GRAPHICS AND BY THE GAME PLAY ITSELF. NEVER BEFORE HAVE I ENCOUNTERED A BASEBALL GAME WITH THIS KIND OF GAME PLAY AND ATTENTION TO DETAIL. I WAS GLAD THAT I FOR ONCE ACTUALLY HAD TO WORK A LITTLE FOR HIT INSTEAD OF BEING ABLE TO BLAST ONE EVERYTIME I CAME UP. IT IS BY FAR THE BEST PITCHER/BATTER INTERACTION I'VE EVER SEEN. I DON'T KNOW IF I'D CALL IT ARCADE EITHER, THE PLAYERS AND STADIUMS LOOK VERY REAL. SOME GAMES HAVE GREAT GRAPHICS AND NO GAME PLAY. ON THE OTHER HAND SOME GAMES HAVE GREAT GAME PLAY AND NO GRAPHICS. IN THIS GAME WE WERE BLESSED WITH BOTH. IF I NEVER SEE ANOTHER BASEBALL GAME I AM GLAD JUST TO HAVE THIS ONE. I WOULD GIVE IT SIX STARS IF I COULD!

4-0 out of 5 stars Great!
This game's great. It needs some getting used to and then you get the hang of it. There are four different games modes: Exhibition, Season, Playoffs, and Home Run Derby. You can also trade players, create players, and edit teams. Hitting is a little difficult but not very hard. Commentary isn't good but I don't buy the game to listen to announcers. And if you want to, there's something called playing aids for pitching, batiing, and fielding. They can be used to make things easier or harder. For Example: If you made the batting aid meter full, your batting cursor will be a lot bigger. Or if you made the fielding aid meter empty, You do all of the work in the field.

1-0 out of 5 stars What a dumb game
Dont buy it. one time I hit a ball and it went up the middlle. the announcer said" down the 3rd base line. it stupid

1-0 out of 5 stars I hate it !!!
This game is the worst. I mean easy level is to easy and the hard level they prob programed it to hit a home run every inning it [stinks] !!! all it dose is cause stress . I recomend games buy EA games. Sega flat out [stinks] !!!!! ... Read more

1-0 out of 5 stars Mario party 6 is so muchbetter than this.
Get Mario party 6 this game sucks so bad it's bad for kids . Shooting slime destroying property is the wrong message to children. MARIO PARTY GAMES ARE THE GREATEST PARTY GAMES KNOWN TO MANKIND!!! BOO and MARIO CARACTERS are so much better thannickelodon characters. SEE my Mario party 6 review it says GET IT NOW find it. Mario party 6 is so much better don't buy this buy mario party 6 instead.BUY MARIO PARTY 6 NOW!!! Nickelodeon is jelous! BUY MARIO PARTY 6 NOW!!!

4-0 out of 5 stars DON"T BUY IT
This game stinks on ice all you do is go around shooting slime and basket balls might be good for a little kid boring for big kids

1-0 out of 5 stars What are we teaching our children?
This game has you throwing pies and destroying property, which is teaching are children bad things.Don't make the mistake I did of buying this for your child and then seeing him causeing reckage around the house.

1-0 out of 5 stars Save your hard earned money....don't buy this one.
What a disappointment. This game just isn't what you expect.I purchased this game for my young daughter, thinking that she would enjoy playing a game that included all of the characters she enjoys watching on the Nick channel.Guess what? She played it for all of ten minutes, found that she couldn't control her character becuase she couldn't follow the action and hasn't touched it sense. That was worth forty dollars!

Simply put, the game has too much activity for younger children...heck who am I kidding, even I had a hard time trying to figure out who I was, where I was, and what I was doing.

If your looking for something enjoyable for your youngster, try the Rugrats Royal Ransom game. That's much better for little hands!

Bottom line:D-

1-0 out of 5 stars Worst Game Ever
I was so disappointed with this game.My 8 year old does not have enough patience to sit through the 'loading screens' which pop up before each game.If you think this is going to be anything like Mario Party, you will hate yourself for putting forty bucks down for this.I am surprised that Nickelodeon put their name on it.

The characters are badly drawn, have no voices or sound clips or anything from the shows!I want my money back.Too bad, no refunds.

I suggest, if you are still wanting this game, to go rent it first, then decide not to buy it. ... Read more

4-0 out of 5 stars Overall good
Nice game for kids and BETTER than Backyard Football. You're kids will enjoy this game with fun characters and a great game. Buy this, and the GBA version!

3-0 out of 5 stars Good football game but too complicated,,,,
Disney football is a good football game including those wonderful Disney character(Goofy,Donald) are in playing an excellent sport except the controls and movements are to hard to manuver. It is definitly not better than Backyard football but better than some madden games including the one in 95'

...

4-0 out of 5 stars Good for some, bad for others, but BETTER than BYFB?
Disney Sports Football is great for not-so-hot football fanatics, like one, Brad Hunter. This game can be a good challenge, but needs a full swing! Practicing passing and running plays makes the game a slight bit easier, but not much! But, under no circum stances is it better than the Backyard Football Series, tied with BYFB GCN, but worse than BYFB/2002! The Imperials are a good team to use throughout the entire game. This is the first out of 6 games (GBA/GCN types)! I personally believe that there should be more games (Inner Tube Riding (GCN), Hockey (GCN/GBA), Rollerskating (GCN/GBA), Rollerblading (GCN/GBA) )!

3-0 out of 5 stars A weak football game.
This game is probably going to sell only because of its Disney license. Outside of that, it feels like football for babies. The tackles seem weak and toned down. Running the ball is way too easy. Passing is almost automatic. There is nothing you really can do while on defense. Kids will like it because it is simple; everyone else should buy Madden 2003. However, if you are looking for a kids' football game, this is better than BACKYARD FOOTBALL. ... Read more

5-0 out of 5 stars TIGHT GAME!!!...
I don't have this game, but I've played at my friend's house. The game is kind of boring when it's on normal speed but when you put it on fastest, it was one of the funnest games I've ever played.I reccomend this game for people who are in to sports game and want to have a fun time.

5-0 out of 5 stars Great Game!!!
This game is Great! You can be any team that exists, and play in every mode there is. Also, it's only ($$$)!. It's much better than FIFA World Cup 2002, and it's ($$$) cheaper. The graphics are good, and so are the controls. There's not a lot else to say except GET IT!

4-0 out of 5 stars Ok, just a few problems
FIFA is a great soccer title compared to the cartoon version, Soccer Slam. This is a game with easy controls to remember, Over 10 leagues and divisons and over 150 teams to choose from!Another plus is the detail on every player! The only problems are that there too many championships to go through, unless you like to take ur time with games. This game takes up too much memory on a 59 memory card, unless you have a 251 which, you'll be fine. Last, problem the setting this game starts on is too easy. I won 15 to 0 on my first game. This game is a totally a keeper for you if your a die hard soccer fan!

4-0 out of 5 stars One of the best games I've played
The graphics are great and the sound is great too. Commentators, as always, are a little annoying. The passing mode in FIFA2002 has been reinvented! You can kick the ball to wherever you want and with the power you want. Now it's a little more difficult to make passes and score goals but that makes the game even better!. There are some differences between PS2 version and the GC version. For instance, you cannot score goals from midfield in the PS2 version but you can score goals from really far away in the GC version (if you are good).FIFA 2002 is a good game but they took out some features that everyone enjoyed from previous versions like changing formations (and strategy) without pausing the game.FIFA 2002 is "Road to World Cup" and you can choose almost any country and try to clasify to Korea/Japan 2002 World Cup but you can't play World Cup!You can also play with Real Madrid or Juventus and many other famous football clubs and that is very interesting. If you are a soccer fan, you have to buy this game because they are trying to make it a simulation instead of a simple soccer game!

4-0 out of 5 stars Good soccer game
This game is really cool! You can play as different teams in any league and you can also play tournaments, seasons and world cup qualification. This game has everything; slide tackles ,shootouts and much, much more! ... Read more

4-0 out of 5 stars FOOTBALL
Football must be the best sport ever. NFL Blitz brings Football out of its shell and makes it fun, funny, and perfect. Nfl blitz you can have late hits which you can body slam and butt slam too. It is awesome and is a must have for a football fan on GC.

1-0 out of 5 stars A waste of my time
I'm going to be very terse with my review of this game. IT SUCKS!! Midway needs to find a new field, and I'm not playing find a new field. Maybe this could make me and others happy who dislike this item and used their good money for something that is more of use.

5-0 out of 5 stars Best Blitz there will ever be.
This Blitz was a huge turning point in the series. It offered next Gen Graphics and gameplay.Blitz 20-03 is the same game but terribly plauged. There is an interception for every pass made.I AM NOT KIDDING.So if you're gonna buy a Blitz game, make it 20-02.

5-0 out of 5 stars Better than Madden!
This is a great football game.Instead of having to play boring 11-on-10 football, this arcade style game brings a new twist: 8-on-8 football. Also, there are no penalties, making it fun to play. You can even jump on people after the play.Graphics and control are especially good.5 stars!

5-0 out of 5 stars MUST HAVE
This game is a must have it is so funny you can put in infinate turbo and faster running. when u return the ball you can zig zag all across the field and make a huge mob of defensive guys chasing you. It is awesome when you do a 2 man blitz with a friend with infinate turbo and faster running you can make soo many sacks it makes you want to cry with laughter. I recommend this game for all who like football. ... Read more

5-0 out of 5 stars Hours and Hours and Hours of Fun
Playing this game is like you suddenly find yourself inside the cartoon! The graphics are really interesting because they look like they are drawn just as in the cartoon. It's quite seamless compared to other video games where the video games don't look like the cartoons.

There are lots of varied levels with different challenges requiring different skills. Lots of puzzle solving, which is why I gave it some educational stars. Timmy wears lots of different costumes and "space"-suits. The variety is astounding!

Hours and hours and hours of fun. It will take days for your kids to just get through all of the levels and things the first time, but then there are other features like a Crimson Chin trading card treasure hunt that will have your kids going over every nook and cranny of the game, which greatly increasing the "replay-ability".

My boys are 6 and 12, and they both loved it. They tell me there are some spelling type puzzles so I don't if younger players will be able to solve these on their own, but it might have been done so that they could.

The only con I could see is that Wanda and Cosmo's dialog does get to be a bit repetitive and annoying if you are running around the same level for a long time.

Have fun!

[P.S. The game saves just fine.]

5-0 out of 5 stars Loved this game!!!
My 41/2 year old son and I were hooked on this game!! It took almost a month but we beat the entire game! I loved the graphics, while my son loved the action! He is also a fan of TMNT so I was happy that this game was not violent, while still giving him the "fighting the bad guys" feeling. Our friends have not borrowed this game from us and are also having a great time! BTW..the save feature is not difficult as I read in a previous review...reading the manual really does help alot!

5-0 out of 5 stars Awesome
Fairly oddparents breakin da rules is awesome ..... fan of fairly oddparents you sure love it

1-0 out of 5 stars This game is a major waste
The graffics are pretty bad even considering that it's a cartoon the voices for cosmo and wanda sound like they are talking through a pillow, you can barely hear let aloneunderstand them and game play is extreamly repatative.

I rented this from gamefly.com and I am so glad I did not shell out 40 dollars for this game.

2-0 out of 5 stars A Disappointment
My son asked for this game because he likes the TV program. He was disappointed after playing it for a few minutes. It didn't compare well to Tak and the Power of JuJu, which he already had. He found it apparently isn't possible to save a game while exiting, although there is a menu item for loading a saved game. The little "user manual" wasn't any help. We wouldn't have bought it if we'd known what we do now. ... Read more

4-0 out of 5 stars Underrated! This game will test the best of the best!
Here's the deal, many of the reviewers say this is like playing SSX tricky on wheels! Well, with all due respect, its not! Freelstyle is far more challenging that SSX tricky as far as races go and believe me, I love SSX tricky! Plus, unlocking new tracks, bikes and riders will really test your skills. As far as the tracks themselves go, the earlier ones are short, but very tough and when u fall off your bike, there is none of that SSX tricky re-start method; here, you have to go back a few feet!! So, for the 20 dollars you will pay for this game, you will feel that you added a great new game to your collection that will challenge the most experienced gamer and greatly improve the mediocre among you! Go get it, its worth every dollar (not more than 20 though!! lol!)

5-0 out of 5 stars A new twist on FMX
I agree, in part, with someone else that wrote a review for this, saying that it was exactly like SSX Tricky. I agree that it is similar to Tricky, which is also, by the way, a really great game, but its not exactly the same. And i dont just mean the fact that it's FMX rather than snowboarding. For one, i think that its much more difficult. For another, while all the characters in Tricky are 1. all fictional, and 2. all already unlokced, you have to unlock 4 of the 8 characters in Freekstyle, and they're all real people. Their catch phrases aren't as great as say Simon's from Tricky, but that doesnt matter too much. And stats aren't increased by levels, you have to earn them by winning races. Overall, it's a really good, really fun game. If you liked tricky, and you like FMX, get this.

4-0 out of 5 stars A Kick-ur-@$$ Game
This game was ok but it hade a couple draw backs. For one the graphics can get muddy at times. herres my rating.

Graphics 4 outta 5 (For certain reasons otherwise they are great)
Music4 outta 5 (its ok but can get annoying)
Replay 5 outta 5 (play it over and over and over and over and over for all I care)

Total: 8.9 outta 10 or 4.4 outta 5

3-0 out of 5 stars Maybe it's just me...
Well... i dunno about the rest of the living, but i didn't really enjoy this one. Maybe it's because it is almost EXACTLY like SSX tricky on 2 wheels. I rented Superfly and this. I loved Superfly, but i felt i like was play a rehash of Tricky with this thing. Try both and see what you like BEFORE you bust out with the Visa.

5-0 out of 5 stars SOOOO KEWL!
THis game is absolutely GREAT!! Little kids probably would have a hard time working the controls, but older kids will think it is awesome!! The graphics are great, and it is challenging enough to keep you really interested for a long time!! One warning though-- the cheats I got from a cheat code website DO NOT WORK!! It is fun trying to get through it without cheats though!! Buy this game and have FUN!! ... Read more

Amazon.com Review

NBA Street is the best arcade basketball title available. Period. Why? No refs, no clocks, and no fouls. Players will knock you over, and theypractically live for blatant goaltending throughout the game. Realistic? No, butit's always fun--even if you hate basketball.

Street has two game modes--City Circuit and Hold the Court--yet thedifferences are minimal. Both feature three-on-three games of 21, in which youmust assemble a squad composed of (initially) NBA players. Soon you'll playagainst street legends (read: bosses) that, once defeated, can be added to yourteam. Your ultimate goal is to defeat the biggest legend ever--Michael Jordan.

To survive the streets, you must learn which buttons to mash as you masterspecific stunts. This will add special points to your score and give you accessto news ways to score. Though similar to the NBA Jam games, Streetis deeper and sports a surprisingly developed finesse game.

Street does commit some fouls, however, with its over-the-top, repetitivecommentary and lack of play modes. But even if you hate arcade-style basketball, you'll find Street is different from the pack and a solid MVP contender.--Mark Brooks

This review refers to thePlayStation2 version of thegame.

Pros:

  • Good controls and gameplay
  • Pleasantly cartoonish graphics
  • Arcade approach makes it fun for those turned off by very technicalbasketball simulations
Cons:
  • Horrific commentary
  • Only 2 gameplay modes, and they're very similar
  • No 4-player support

5-0 out of 5 stars NBA Street
NBA Street is awesome. It has loads of trick moves, including dunks. The gamebreakers and busted rims are cool in every aspect. The player models and create-a-player are very realistic. It even has "Street School", which teaches you the gameplay. There are downsides, though. There are only two modes of gameplay which are kind of similar. The commentary is a tad bit annoying. Still, this is a must have for gamers.

4-0 out of 5 stars Pretty Awsome
This game is alright. You can get alot of great nba players just by winning but who said they were good at street ball? There are alot of courts to choose from but i'd recodmend the street hoops game more because there are actually real street ball players on that game like you see on tv

5-0 out of 5 stars it is awesome
Nba Street is one of the coolest games that i have ever played. It has some pretty cool characters like Yetti, Alein, and magma man. It also has Jordan, Iverson and many other real NBA players. The different places you can play and awesome different moves that you can do just hit the spot. My personal favorite is DINNER'S SERVED! But that's just me. You might like PUTIN' IT HOME orthe ALLEY-OOP. All in all, this is a fun all around good game.

4-0 out of 5 stars dunkalishis
This game is the best basket ball game ever. The cites of the game is cool. The dunking is so realistic. It is easy to beat MJ. The names of the characters is cool. You can also play as the girls in 3LW. There is a dream team member you get to chose after you beat the game things like Magma Man Alien Boy and many more. But they realy messed up on Takashie. He is the worst player. Shak can block balls better than him. There is a grip of cheat codes. The beast thing about it is that when you get real far in the game, they give you the codes. My space is running short. There is one more thing, BUY THIS GAME AND STREETS VOLUMN 2!!!

4-0 out of 5 stars Awesome!
NBA Street is awesome! I just got this game a couple days ago.
It is the coolest basketball game ever. The graphics are sweet.
And the characters are even cooler. Stretch Monroe is cool even for an Old School player. My favorite street legend is Bonafide.
BIGGS can dunk and block or should I say stuff. He is probably the strongest street legend.
BONAFIDE has mad skillz. He can handle the ball better than A.I.
He can also drain three pointers. Which comes in handy when you are playing Stretch Monroe.
DRAKE can't dunk. He goes up for the dunk but has to finger roll it instead. He is pretty embarassing for a street legend. He basically is a shooter pure shooter.
DJ's got hops. He can soar above the rim then do a 360 dunk.
He can shake even MJ.
TAKASHI is tall I mean tall he looks down at Yao Ming. Come on I mean 7'8" that's pretty unbelievable but hey it's only a video game his best skill blocking.
STRETCH is cool. In an Old School way. He isn't much of a dunker but he can drain those hook shots and he is pretty good behind the arc. They make it seem like he is impossible to beat but he is easy. I beat him with Bonafide, Takashi, and Kobe.
Graphic wise this game gets 10/10 it's so clear and perfectly Gamecube.
Sound is okay but the music is pretty annoying. I give it a 7/10
Overall this game gets 10/10. Buy it you'll be glad you did. ... Read more

I own this game.It is alot of fun.I enjoy watching F1 on TV.My favorite driver is Michael Schumacher, the 7 time world champ.I saw the US and the Canadian GPs over the summer. It has some math in it with the timing system.Over all, best game I've ever owned!!!!

3-0 out of 5 stars Not a Bad F1 Game
Without a doubt, the F1 series of games on the PC are in a class above and beyond their console counter-parts, that said, F1 2002 for the Nintendo Gamecube is not a bad title. My biggest disappointment with this game was the lacking of a progressive scan mode for HDTV support.Simply put, this game is UGLY on HDTV.When you move the console over to a standard television set (S-Video or below), the graphics appear in much better format.Sound effects are nice, but nothing to write home about.Loading time is AWFUL and unlocking extras can be extremely tedious, but once you have run through the 25+ testing courses, the Grand Prix modes are excellent. It's a shame this game did not ship with the option to open up Grand Prix mode right out of the box as the 25+ testing runs are very draining.

Overall, this is a decent console F1 game that is geared towards patient F1 fans only.Run-and-gun casual gamers will be very turned off by the slow load times and necessity to unlock all of the goodies.

5-0 out of 5 stars BEST STINKING F1 GAME YOU CAN GET FOR PS2!!!
I own Formula One 2001, from a different company. That game doesn't even come close to it.F1 2002 has better graphics, better sound effects, better gameplay, better multiplayer: in short, it is a much better game.I imediately learned to love the new draft meter in the game. When your car moves into the slipstream of another car, the meter goes up and when you move out to pass, the screen blurs, the sounds quiet down, and it looks like your head is forced back onto the seat.Other effects, like damage, are very good. You can break just about every part of your car. Also, the driver pulls off his visor protector in mid race, which is cool. All the attention to detail is amazing, and really elevates this game above other racing titles(except Gran Turismo 3).

5-0 out of 5 stars Dis is WICKED!!!!!!
This is de most amazing hame I've ever played. I especially like the fact that you can create your own championship, by this I mean jumble up all the tracks(e.g. melbourne is first in real life but in a championship i made it's eighth). Another relly cool part is the graphics. They're amazing. It has lots of little details that such as; the grooves in the tires, the driver pulling off his visor, the BUMPING across the curbs & the scenary going blury when you go really fast, make it one of the best games I've ever played. ... Amazon.com Review

Daisy, a TV journalist, has gone to Merlock's castle for an unannouncedinterview. Merlock doesn't appreciate Daisy's in-your-face interview tactics andholds her hostage while he comes up with a plan to take over the world. So it'sup to Donald Duck to rescue Daisy in Goin' Quackers.

The game gives players instructions as they progress through the levels. Whenyou come to something new, Donald's nephews explain what's going on. While nothaving to read an instruction book is nice, the game explains so many simpleconcepts from the beginning that this feature hinders more than it helps. Forinstance, gift boxes contain power-ups. Power-ups are good. You should get them.

The quality of the game's graphics varies greatly throughout. For example, someof the buildings show great detail, while in another area it can be difficult totell whether you're facing a cliff or a thorny plant. Also, while Donald issuperbly animated, the game's many textures look grainy compared to those ofother PS2 titles.

The sound, on the other hand, is spot on. The sound effects are pleasantlycartoonlike, even though the voices are annoying, especially Donald's.Experienced gamers will blow through this one, assuming they want to, butyounger gamers will find the game sufficiently challenging and fun. Gamers youngand old, however, will agree that there's nothing to like about Donald's newvoice. --Todd Mowatt

(This review refers to the PlayStation2 version of the game.)

  • Platform-style Disney game
  • Cartoonlike sound effects
Cons:
  • Too similar to the Crash Bandicoot series
  • Obtrusive help feature

3-0 out of 5 stars Pretty Good
I got this game when I was 7. It did not take me long to beat the game. It is very fun, but level three is hard.

4-0 out of 5 stars For Donald Duck Fans
I'm a big Donald Duck fan, which is why I like this game. So, take this review with a grain of salt. The game itself is fun, but not super great. It's not a hard game, but sometimes the camera views can make the game harder than it is.Donald himself looks, and acts really cool. When he gets hit watch out, cause he's going to get mad. But, what else is new?My cousin and I found this game to be more fun than we expected it to be.However, I think that if your not a big Donald Duck fan, you might not like the game too much. It's not super hard, but it can be fun.I suggest that if your not familiar with the game that you rent it first.I did that, and found it fun enough to want to buy it.Now I return to it every once in a while when I want to have a good time with Donald Duck.

3-0 out of 5 stars Fun but Diffucult Sometimes
This is game is fun for kids but can be diffucult for younger kids to figure out. There are no helpful directions on how to play any of the levels and the passwords don't always work. We love watching Donald have his tantrums and some levels are fun but I would say it was for kids older than 6 yrs.

5-0 out of 5 stars My 5 year old LOVES it!!!
My 5 year old boy absolutely loves this game. We just rented it, and he's been playing it nonstop. It's just hard enough for him.I don't understand all of the bad reviews. I even love to play this game!!We have lots of fun with it. And it's not SO easy that ir's boring. It's just challenging enough.

2-0 out of 5 stars Pretty easy game
My son is 8 1/2 years old.Luckily we rented this game before we bought it.He finished the entire game in about 3 1/2 hours of playing time.

4-0 out of 5 stars The best NASCAR game ever!
Nascar Thunder 2003 is definitely the best racing game ever created. The graphics are unbelievable, the cars look awesome, and the racing is so realistic that any NASCAR junkie would love to buy this game.

First of all, you can choose from over 50 NASCAR drivers and what seems like over 100 different paint schemes. You can even unlock legendary drivers such as Richard Petty and (the infamous) Dale Earnhardt!

The racing itself is fantastic. Rubbing fenders and smashing into other cars-awesome! Nothing like seeing Jr. falling back out of sight. Throw in spectacular wrecks and knocking others out of the way, and you've got the perfect racing game.

One of the most fun features of the game is Lightning Challenge. Battle your way through over 20 challenges ranging from easy to extremely difficult. I've been able to unlock Legends, Busch Series drivers, and even Tiburon, a 3 mile fantasy track where you race over 230 mph with no restrictor plates-sweet! I've also been awarded alternate tracks. It's awesome being able to race on everything from a night race at Rockingham to a road course race at Pocono.

All in all, don't even bother renting this game before you buy it. It is amazing! Get Nascar Thunder 2003 while you can!

1-0 out of 5 stars Buy NASCAR HEAT: Dirt to Daytona instead
Don't buy Thunder. It's not a bad game, just that you can better spend your money on NASCAR HEAT: Dirt to Daytona.Thunder only offers stock car racing whereas Heat offers *4* games in 1: Dirt/Go-Kart(modifieds)/Truck/Car and therefore Heat offers a lot more variety and fun.Buy NASCAR HEAT: Dirt to Daytona instead.

5-0 out of 5 stars My Favorite Racing Game
This game is awesome! It has excellent graphics and it lets you change your view to differnt angles. You move very fast and can make sharp turns. It has many tracks you can choose from. Also, it gives you a choice on which car you want to use for a driver. In addition, you can create you own car and driver and race against the pros.

5-0 out of 5 stars FANTASTIC GAME!!
This is the best most realistic racing game ive ever played. It is a great buy for anyone no matter the age. Its worth every cent and then some. I recomend it to all.

5-0 out of 5 stars Best Racing Game Ever!!
Nascar thunder is defienitely the best game I have ever played. THere are so many race options to choose from. YOu can race multilpayer or start a season.
WHen I started this game it got frustrating because I couldn't make any of the turns. After a week or two of playing, you get used to it.
SOme of the cool features for this game are create-a-car, lightning challenge, and thunder plates. IT was fun to pick the paint shceme that suited me best and putting my favorite sponser on my car. THe game has sponsers that range from Outback Steakhouse to Goodyear. THe lighntning challenge puts you in a scenario where you usually have to copy a feat a racer accomplished. THis can range from staying out of a wreck, holding off others with old tires, and taking the lead from someone. A weird thing in the challenges is that most of the time you are supposed to beat Earnhardt Jr. for the win. When you win one of these challenges you get a thunder plate. THis can range from a bush series regular, a legend driver, or paint schemes.
THis game is really addictive. When I got it, I played for a week straight even though I was awful. THe tracks are drawn to look lifelike and you can even choose to race a racer's alternate car.
THere are alot of optoins you can choose to make the game different. YOu can change the difficulty, put on auto repair, change the AI's aggressiveness and others.
Career mode can be really frustrating. YOur car is really the worst by far on the circiut. WHen all of the cars are going 180 at Talladega you are goin 160. Go figure. To fix this problem, you can go to R and D to improve different parts of your car. RIght now I am doing engine power.
One thing that I found fun to do for 2 players is turn the cautions off. After this when you are racing you go backwards and start huge wrecks. It is a great feeling to watch 8 cars catch on fire at one time. One goal while doing this is to get out all of the other cars so you are the only two cars left. YOu have acchieved victorory when you do this.
TIP: To open different courses, you must win the other race on that track on MEdium of Difficult. ONe easy way to do this is with two players put on auto repair, turn off cautions, and drive backwards to wreck everyone. Afer everyone is gone, you finish the race and get the track.
THis is an awesome game and I reccomend you buy it ... Read more

This game really stinks!Becouse the graphics are horrible, the characters look rediculous, and every character in the game looks chubby.Spend your money on a better game!

1-0 out of 5 stars !TOO HARD!
I got this game for my little sister (she is 7), if you look at the game's target audience it is kids under 10. So I watch my little sister sturggle throuh level 1. She becomes frustrated and ends up throwing my controller. Latter that night I tried to play it and I realized the game was too hard for a teenager.
I was steemed. My little sister is suprisingly good at videogames she can beat a level 7 in SSBM (which is rated teen.) In conclusion I think not only shoud ESRB have a content rating but also a toughness rating.
"DON'T BUY THIS GAME!"

2-0 out of 5 stars choose something else
I bought this for my 9 and5 yr olds and they love the premise
BUTthe platforms to jump on are VERY hard to hit and you cannot save until you get thru the entire first level which is TOO much game time for kids!!!They didn't want to return it because the Midway games are fun but it was just frustrating and SINCE YOU HAVE TO START OVER AGAIN EVERY TIME, we bagged it for something else!!!

Amazon.com Review

When Sega decided to discontinue the Dreamcast, it opted to make itsexcellent sports titles available for other consoles. And not a moment too soon.Competition is always a good thing, and Sega Sports titles, including NBA2K2, are some of the best in the business.

NBA 2K2 features all the teams, rosters, and, most importantly, rulechanges (like the now-legal zone defense) found in the real NBA. Player faceshave been mapped to realistic body types (complete with tattoos), so you canidentify a big man like Shaq and a speedster like Iverson without looking attheir numbers. The game takes full advantage of the graphics-rendering power ofadvanced consoles by including better texturing, lighting effects, and facialanimations, along with a higher polygon count, to ensure all the jukes, spins, jumps, and dunks are as realistic as possible. The audio is also good, particularly the play-by-play, which is accurate and speedy.

The controls are intuitive--even for people used to the Dreamcast--especially inthe area of on-the-fly play calling. The controls let you quickly and fluidlybox out your opponent, spin, shoot, pass, fake, and dunk.

There are also eight street-ball courts, and this addition makes for an almostentirely new game. In this respect, it is the equal of the NBA Live series fromEA Sports. But NBA 2K2 surpasses EA's titles with its excellent AI. Thisgame is challenging, satisfying, and fun in both single and multiplayer modes.--Bob Andrews

Note: This text refers to thePlayStation2 version of thisgame.

Pros:

  • Gorgeous graphics
  • Intuitive controls
  • Great AI

5-0 out of 5 stars one of the best
in very simple words, if you are looking for a good game to keep you and your friends hooked for ages, pick this up. 1- its 10 bucks, 2- its probably one of the best basketball games out there. solid gameplay, solid options, solid game!

4-0 out of 5 stars Very Cool Game
I got this game for Christmas and I am still learning it but, It is very enjoyable even for an old fart like me. I like being able to select All-Star teams from the past like the 1980's Eastern conference that includes my favorite players Larry Bird and Danny Ainge.

5-0 out of 5 stars A AWSOME BBALL GAME FOR GC (A 11 YEAR OLD GAMER)
This game is much better than NBA Courtside 2002 and it is more realistic. The audiance look more real because if u are at your home court and say u make a fancy dunk the audiance will get up off of their seats and cheer for u. U can play Street Ball in it and it is very fun. I guarantee u will never get bored of this game. I almost forgot u can play as bball legends from the 50s/60s, 70s east, 70s west, 80s east, 80s west and players in present time. Last fact u can also play as western and eastern all-stars... U should all know that. Buy this game and u wont want to take it back:)

5-0 out of 5 stars The Best Bball Game on GC As of Now
NBA 2k2 beats out every other bball game on the market. Though it has minor flaws, like every game, overall it's just great. Everything is done pretty well, except the street mode.

I think this is the only thing Sega has to change for 2k2. The street mode isn't that great; it's basically a regular game with less people. The courts aren't done perfectly, and in Rucker the stands are empty.

I don't really need the street mode though. The franchise, create-a-player, and just plaing gameplay buys this game for me. And if u like good gameplay, franchise, and other features u should buy this game.

This game really deserves a 4.5 but u can't put that in, so I rounded it up to 5.

5-0 out of 5 stars THE BEST NBA GAME TILL 2K3

Amazon.com Review

Sports fans with little interest in video basketball games may want to rethink their stance after getting a look at Sega Sports’ NBA 2K3. They--not to mention hard-core basketball simulation enthusiasts--will likely find it hard to keep from being drawn in by the game’s picture-perfect detail, engrossing realism, and challenging gameplay.

Like NFL 2K3, NBA 2K3 is presented in the patented ESPN style. The game has all the sights and sounds of the NBA: the pomp and circumstance of pregame introductions, accurate arena re-creations, realistic player animations and sizes, and fluid dribbling and shooting (including crossover moves and the ability to change shot direction in midair). All of this is accentuated with special touches such as alley-oops, tipped shots, the ability to make passes on the fly, fierce rebounding battles under the basket, and the added drama and excitement of the ball bouncing off the rim before it either falls in or goes awry.

NBA 2K3 offers a host of moves and modes on either side of the ball, with 25 offensive and 10 defensive plays from which to choose. Throw in fully customizable strategy options--everything from player clutch factor to computer shot tendencies, plus all types of shot percentages and fouls--and it’s easy to create the ideal matchup and game environment. The limitless roster manager feature also ensures that league and franchise modes will keep from getting stale.

Street mode offers a break from the grind of NBA play, allowing you to go two-on-two or all the way up to five-on-five in nine playgrounds and gyms. Pick your favorite players from current teams or choose greats from the '50s through the '80s and go at it as the Ballers vs. the Ringers. Street even features requisite trash talk such as "Yeah! You like that?" and grunts backed with "Get some!" --Larry White

Pros:

  • Accurate, eye-catching graphic representation
  • Challenging artificial intelligence
  • Realistic gameplay
Cons:
  • Blocky player movements
  • Players celebrate with fans after key shots
  • Lob quality of passes

5-0 out of 5 stars The Best Basketball Game Made
This is the best basketball game made because if has many more features in it than nba live 2003.This game is also better han any basketball game now because the franchise mode is incredible because you make your own ways through the nba, like you coach your team, play with your team, make your own player, and win titles back to back if you are lucky. It also has street mode where you mix up players from any team and play on some of the geatest courts some nba stars played on when they were young.overall this is a good game when you play it. it might be the best basketball game you played and trust me I have it so go out and buy it I'm sure you are going to have fun playing it.

3-0 out of 5 stars Average
There are deffinatly better games out there.NBA 2K3 is cool becauase it ahs the espn look, but the graphics and gameplay deffinatly dont live up to 2003 standards.NBA live 2003 is a much better game.

<<>>

The game has a large variety of game modes, ranging from 1 season, to a frachise mode where you can take ownership of a time and scout players and try to draft them, and play with them for up to 100 years!!The franchise mode is teh thing I got the game for, i wanted something that would last a while, and it did.You can see just what its like to run a team.

NBA 2K3 also has a street mode, where you can play from 2 on 2 up to 5 on 5.You can choose any current stars in the leauge, or older players. You also choose where you want to play, there are about 7 different courts.

3-0 out of 5 stars Low Down on NBA 2K3
Undoubtedly this is GameCube's most realistic basketball game. The 2003 update contains not only the addition of C-stick passiong, but also includes improvements to the passing mechanics themselves and tweaks the previously irritating percentage of shots that are actually scored.
NBA 2K3 is steeped in an almost dour regard for the rules and practices of the sport of basketball. There are no outrageous steals, no somersulting dunks and definitely no smashing of the glass backboard. Instead, this game plays very much like the real thing - perhaps too much so.
Getting to the bare facts:
Visuals: Good animation, presentation and character models. Very nice throughout.
8.3/10
Audio: The commentary falters a lot less than many other sports games.
6.8/10
Gameplay: Serious and accurate, but is that what you really want?
7.2/10
Lifespan: Multiple game modes, expansive options and season-long campaigns.
7.6/10
Originality: Merely builds on and improves the previously decent NBA 2K2 (one of the reasons that I can't give it a good score)
6.3/10
OVERALL SCORE AND THOUGHTS:
-7.1/10 (71%)
Proof that sometimes sports games need a lot less realism. (Probably a good idea to wait for NBA Street 2)

5-0 out of 5 stars The Basketball Game To Get
This is the best Basketball game money can buy so don't miss it!If you have an Xbox with Xbox Live get it on there so you can take the competition online.

4-0 out of 5 stars CHANGE OF HEART
i wrote a review of this game a couple of months ago and after starting to play this game again have changed my mind.i thought before it was slow and the passes were too balloon like.but i have started playing the game on fast mode which i believe brings the game up to regular speed and brings back some of the fast break points.fast mode doesn't make it like nba live, it just makes it regular nba speed.this game is very real.just watch the passes and watch how the computer plays at times (penetrating and dishing out).although the computer doesn't know how to handle a zone (jacking up three point shot with whoever is at the top of the key).the only thing to watch out for is the game freeze on franchise mode. this will drive you crazy ...

Amazon.com Product Description

Even if you're not the type to bleat out the 1975 hit "Convoy" over a CB radio, you'll probably still get the sweats thinking about racing with 20 tons of cargo pushing your rig. In Eighteen Wheeler: American Pro Trucker, you'll choose between four 18-wheel trucks, and then ride against rival truckers and the clock as you try to deliver your payload intact and on time. The game offers 20 stages from New York to San Francisco, as well as four play modes: Arcade, Parking Challenge, Score Attack, and Versus. Eighteen Wheeler is compatible with separately sold steering-wheel controllers.

3-0 out of 5 stars 10-04 everybody!
I got this game 2 years ago when I just got my gamecube, and I just hate shifting up and down, but I just love pretending to be a trucker and blowing the airhorn! There is only $ trucks to choose from, and the trucks are shake alot.

1-0 out of 5 stars This Game Stinks!!!
This is the most boring game I have played in my lifetime! In the arcade mode of the game you have to drive four stretches of highway, after you finish with all of the four stretches you finish the whole Arcade mode. After you finish the Arcade mode you will win another trucker, and then you can do the whole thing over, over and over again. BORING!!!

I tout the only challenge of the game was the Parking mode, in the parking mode you have to park your truck in four diffrent locations

In conclution this game is a HUGE dissapointment!!!

2-0 out of 5 stars boring
When I got 18 wheeler i thoght it whould be more difrent from the arcade game. And i hoped i would get more freedom but your always on a track with a time limet. and really it only has 2 modes that get really boring.

4-0 out of 5 stars BOO! 18 Wheeler STINKS!
There is completly no point in this game. This game is so easy. You would think it would be hard to do, but it's simple. I beat it in less than a hour. Parking mode is stupid because you get a few seconds to park in a square, that's far away. Rent it first, you probably would not like it. If you buy it first, you will regret it. It's a thumbs down game.

1-0 out of 5 stars WORST GAME EVER
This had to be the worst game that I have ever played. It might have been better if it were more challenging. I beet the game in a matter of minutes. Multiplayer even stunk. All you do is, drive while being timed and race 1 other truck. How boring is that.

Most boring game ever!!!!!!! ... Read more

2-0 out of 5 stars Good lord, this sucks
When I rented Disney's Hide and Sneak, I wasn't expecting much. However, I did not expect it to suck this much.

The first problem you will probably notice is how boring the gameplay is. There are a few puzzles that a braindead person could beat, and there are stealth parts that nobody can lose at.

The only good thing I can say about this game is that the graphics and sound is OK.

1-0 out of 5 stars What a truly wretched game.
Well, the House of Mouse is at it again, freely pimping out its licensed characters to just about whoever wants to feature them in a video game."Hide & Sneak" is the worst one yet that I've had the pleasure of playing.

You can play as Minnie or Mickey in this platform/puzzle game. What you'll mostly be doing is running around and occasionally jumping up on a nearby box when an enemy is going to attack you.Doesn't that sound fun?No?Hmm...I don't know why not. There are also a few "puzzle" areas that usually consist of something like pulling switches in a certain order or raising platforms in a certain order.

I am getting tired of saying this but apparently developers aren't getting tired of hearing the complaints. The camera is awful! You only have very limited control over the camera and the game prefers showing you from a head-on shot.Of course, that means you can never see what's right in front of you or what is going to kill you just around that corner.Gee...thanks!

Don't worry though, the ridiculous camera isn't going to stop you from quickly beating this game.In fact, people in a rush are sure to love this title. At the end of the game, Capcom has the nerve to show you how long your playing time was.My time was 1 hour and 48 minutes!I'm not going to embarrass myself by telling you how much I paid for a game I beat in under 2 hours.

I've said it before but I'll say it again. You like Disney?Buy the "Kingdom Hearts" games and ignore all of the other shallow, opportunistic games they try and make a fast buck off of. ... Read more
