5-0 out of 5 stars I play this game all the time
graphics are o.k. but the gameplay is awesome.

5-0 out of 5 stars A good delivery for the Game Boy
"Paperboy" was one of the first games that I had for the Game Boy and even after all these years, it's still a lot of fun to play.Your objective is to deliver a newspaper to all the subscribers. If you successfully deliver a newspaper to all your subscribers without missing any, you will get a new subscriber. The game is divided up by all the days of the week. For example, once you get past Monday's level, you'll go on to Tuesday.During each day, you have to throw a newspaper either inside your subsciber's mailbox or on their front doorstep. But it's not as easy as it sounds.

Along the way, you will encounter many obstacles such as a dog that will chase you down, cars, tornadoes, remote-control cars, and many other enemies that will do anything they can to knock you off your bike. However, you do have a defensive move that can protect you against a few of your enemies, and that is to hit them with a newspaper in order to stun them for awhile. Also, while you're trying to get the day's paperwork done, you can rack in some extra points by throwing newspapers at certain items such as your non-subscribers' windows, garbage cans, and trees.Just make sure you don't run out of newspapers. If you do good enough during the level and pass it, you will have the chance to go through a fun bonus level where you hit targets and have to maneuver your bike over ramps and past moving walls.

For the Game Boy, "Paperboy" has good graphics, satisfying sound and music, and easy-to-learn controls.

If you have a regular Game Boy, I definitely recommend getting "Paperboy" for it, it's one of the funnest games you could get and it never gets old.

2-0 out of 5 stars Loses its flavor fast
Paperboy has the same original outlook as the original game, but it grows old quickly, and has very little variation.

4-0 out of 5 stars paperboy delivers a good game
Paperboy for the Game Boy is the only Paperboy game I've ever played and it's a fun game. You try to deliver newspapers to all your customers and you can do it by either throwing them on their front doorstep or in theirmailbox, while you get points for busting the windows out of yournon-subscribers' houses. You can also get points by hitting otherobstacles such as targets, trash cans, etc.Everytime you deliver anewspaper to all of your customers without missing any in a level, you geta new subscriber. At the end of every level, there's a bonus stage whichcan be fun, then you go to the next day. However, it's not as easy as itmight sound. There are a lot of obstacles such as tornadoes, dogs, andcars to avoid on your way.

I'd recommend getting this game if you likethe Paperboy games or if you like non-stop action games. ... Read more

This game has 3 game levels (Rescue, Battle and Megazord), 3 difficulty levels (Easy, Normal and Hard)and 5 game stages (plant, city, dam, bay and subway). My son mastered this game in a short while, however he still enjoys playing it, as does my husband.

2-0 out of 5 stars Well, the PC version is good!
I was really excited when I heard MPA was bing released for gameboy!I love the PC version - it's the only Pinball sim I play now days. The Gameboy version... well, seems like an unfinished product. The only table worth playing is Spirit of '76... which is a saving grace since it just so happens to be my favorite table on the PC version.I no longer play the gameboy version of MPA... just sits in it's box until I decide to get rid of it.I'll stick to Kirby's Pinball or Pokemon Pinball.

3-0 out of 5 stars Better than no pinball at all
Of the several tables included on this cart., only 2 are worth playing: Spirit of 76 and Haunted House. The others are more like pachinko games than modern pinball and aren't worth the effort.

This price is right for what you get.I bought this knowing that I couldn't wait for a GBA version to be released. ... Read more

5-0 out of 5 stars Ice Nine delivers from start to finish!
Ice Nine is the second best FPS for the GBA and the last released. Ice Nine re-uses the same Duke Nukem Advance engine that I love so much and which makes this game so good. The graphics in this game must be seen to be believed and are visually stunning. Ice Nine features 3 skill levels which give you bonuses after you complete each mode. An array of weapons is also given to you: a knife, pistol, sniper rifle, machine gun, shotgun, grenade launcher, and a rocket launcher. The game starts out with your training and then throws you into the action of a major conspiracy. Ice Nine also features levels set in the daytime, evening, and night (night vision goggles come in handy here!). The game is fun and enjoyable from start to finish! A must-have!

5-0 out of 5 stars Very Cool
I guess I am the first person who has actually played it. I must say it is pretty cool. It is very challenging but fun. The music is not bad, but it doesn't need to be perfect. The graphics are very nice and smooth. I love to blow up stuff, just to see the explosions. The levels are very interactive, meaning if you shoot something, it is obliterated. The sound is neat but nothing new. The difficulty level is challenging, but good. One thing that annoys me is that if you don't meet a certain score, than you don't beat the level. You may have to play several levels over and over. All in all, this is not the best fps for gba, but it sure comes close.

5-0 out of 5 stars off da hook
saw da movie is gonna be cool buy it if you like fps

5-0 out of 5 stars This game will rock!
Now, I have not played it yet (duh) and so I'm rating it on what I've seen and read. First of all Ice Nine will most likely be the best game for the Gameboy. It runs at 30 Fps (frames per second) and has blistering good graphics. The animation is awsome and some of the voices are supplied by Colin Farrell and Al Pacino (yes the actors). There is also a totally cool looking multiplayer mode using the link cable. There are lots of guns and weapons to use at your disposal and plenty of action to keep you entertained for hours. When this comes out get it.

5-0 out of 5 stars Bratz GBA Game
This is a great game, I dont reccommend this game for girls 8 and under,it is hard to get the hang of it, but when you do it is a fun game with different songs and dance moves ,most girls would like this game.

5-0 out of 5 stars Bratz: The Video Game!
First of all, I bouth the PC Game.

Don't listen to the bad rewiews of thies game! This is actually, a GREAT and FUN game to play.

The people who say is boring, that is because they don't know how to play it! and don't know how to "UNLOCK" another lever!

All you need is PRACTICE! I just bouth it today at only 9.99$ in Canadian dollars plus taxes.

I didn't think it was fun at first, but then I keep on playing and playing until I have "UNLOCK" another lever!

You just need PATIENT with this game to make it FUN!

Each time you playing good and nice, you get the chance to "UNLOCK" another lever.

I bouth a used one, the person who bouth it, must returned it because she or he didn't know how to play and "UNLOCK" another level!

I did play nicely and patiently, until I have "UNLOCK" another level!

I am a HUGE Bratz fan. So I think this game is a must have!

REMEMBER YOU NEED PATIENT to make this game FUN!

Lots Of Love,
Fulliem XOXOXOXOXOXO

I can't say weather I like the game or not. You see I ordered this game back in Dec. for my child for christmas and to date It has not been shipped. I live in Canada and it does say they can only ship in Canada. I don't understan it . Three and 1/2 months and my child is still with out the game. I think she will like it when and if it ever gets here. She runs to the post office every day but no package yet. I feel that the public needs to know that you can order but you never know when you will get the game you want.

3-0 out of 5 stars not for younger players
When I bought this used game from a store. The clerk told me the mother sold this game and said it was terrible.I wondered why? When I played it, I noticed the player have to play well to unlock all 10 songs.Or else, you can only dance along with 1 song. The previous owner didn't play well enough to unlock any songs, but only playing the same 1 songs. It was kind a fun once you are able to play it.I was able to dance along with the arrows and unlock all songs. But I have to agree with some buyers, that this game is not suitable to younger kids as it is not an easy game to play.Needed lots of practice, but what if you get bore with only 1 song, will you still practice? It's personal choice.I hope this will help others to consider before purchase the game.I do enjoy it though.

4-0 out of 5 stars What a Terrible Waste of Money!
Here is a perfect example of something that sells well because it is based on an outrageously popular doll phenomenon. My daughter LOVES the Bratz, we have at least 75 of them here and a zillion accessories, not to mention spas and ect.Well even though she had not asked for this game, I thought, she HAS to like this one.DO NOT assume that with this gameboy advance game.I wish I had paid more attention to my fellow reviewers who said there is nothing to this game, because there isn't.They get dressed and go dancing in a contest? No challenge, no excitement, just dancing bratz. You can go to the website and have way more fun things to do like go skiing and shopping. Why they could not include more with this is beyond me.It is not entertaining in the least. I was quite angry after my daughter looked at this game for a few minutes when we recieved it from a seller here, and has not looked at it again even ONCE.This is from a dedicated fan of BRATZ who plays with the dolls every day and still collects and wants more. The creators of this game should be ashamed of themselves for creating something so lacking and disappointing.DO NOT bother with this game.Get something worthwhile like Kim Possible (see my review). We were nothing but disappointed in this game, despite its hoopla and difficulty in obtaining, like it is some great feat to get one.I think that is also a way to get a buzz going over a completely lacking gameboy advance game.Don't fall for it, and do not waste your money or time with this one. ... Amazon.com Review

If you like blazing-fast racing games (and have thumbs ofsteel), F-Zero: Maximum Velocity is one of the wildest rides yetfor a handheld system. Based on the famous Super NES game of yore, thefuturistic F-Zero asks you to pick from a starting lineup offour pilot hovercrafts that tear across flat but hazardous tracks. Yourgoal: compete for first place so you can advance to the next track anddifficulty level.

To have any success in F-Zero, great reflexes and a memory fortrack detail are absolute musts. While the controls are responsive, ingeneral the frictionless racing means that almost all cars have asuitably loose feel to them, and require skilled pilots to handlecorners. Be warned that gamers with adult-size thumbs may be in for avery painful experience due to the constant mashing of the GBA'sshoulder buttons. When you get bored of racing the computer, you cantake on up to four opponents via the link cable--and unlike multiplayerGame Boy games, only one cartridge is needed.

While F-Zero features many tracks and skill levels, beyond thesimplistic (yet challenging) racing, there isn't much depth.Fortunately, the silky smooth animation and detailed graphics shouldkeep fans of speedy arcade racers taxing their thumbs long afterthey've brought home the checkered flag. --Mark Brooks

Pros:

  • Ridiculously fast-paced arcade racing done right
  • Many tracks and hovercraft to choose from as you gain skill
  • Graphics give a good hint of the GBA's pixel-pushing power
  • Four-player racing is a blast
Cons:
  • Extremely painful to the thumbs of adult-size hands
  • Lack of depth may be a turnoff once novelty of speed wears off

5-0 out of 5 stars My first GBA game
This was my first GBA game and I was stunned by the amazing graphics this game featured. It has the best control set-up out of any GameBoy game I've ever played. The race cars are cool and the tracks are amazing. The have obstacles but not too much. The snow tracks can sometimes be tough when you end up slipping on the ice. The key to getting the best turns is to press the "A" button repetatively while turning instead of holding it down. FOr more hits about racing, press the SELECT button at the title screen to access the secret tutorial. I would recommend this game because it is the best racing game I've played on the GBA.

3-0 out of 5 stars Good launch game brought down by apoor soundtrack.
While I still play this more than most of my Game Boy Advance games it is a little disappointing.Yeah yeah yeah the speed is excellent and its pretty fun but thats about it.Its really not as good as any of the other F Zero games Ive played and I think its because of a poor soundtrack.I really liked the music in the past 2 F Zero games but the music here was just too bland and it was mostly drowned out by the sound of the vehicles engine.I know that a soundtrack isnt everything but to me it adds more fun to the gameplay.Hopefully the new F Zero game coming out in September will be better but if you play your Game Boy Advance a lot and like racing you should still buy it.

4-0 out of 5 stars F Zero the good and the bad.
Well after about 3 years of waiting the sequel to F Zero X is finally here. Now that I think about it this game was like a tasty little appetizer to F Zero GX which is a game that came out last year.Where do I start?Oh the graphics.I happen to think that they are better than the ones in the SNES classic which came out in 91 but obviously not as good as the graphics in F Zero X or F Zero GX.Yeah I know F Zero X got a lot of complaints about it not being detailed enough but when you think about it the graphics were just really colorful and had some scenery that really stood out like the skull in Devils Forest, the statue in Big Hand or the space station in Big Blue.I still think the graphics in this game really look good for a portable system.Yeah they may not be gorgeous as the ones in Metroid Zero Mission but to me they still look great. And now for the controls. They are everything youd expect and want from an F Zero game.Really good and easy to use.The game really gets easier when you find out that you cant just hold the A button down at all times you have to repeatedly tap it.And it also easier when you get used to the fast paced speed and sort of memorize the tracks which is easy for me cause I have like a photographic memory. And for the hovercraft. You dont get to unlock as many vehicles as you did in F Zero X or F Zero GX but that doesnt matter. It admittedly loses a little replay value after you unlock all the cars but if replay value just means that it keeps you coming back for more then this game has great replay value.Yep this is one of the best if not the best racing game for the GBA because its one you will definitely want to play again.

4-0 out of 5 stars decent racing game
this game is a good racing game compared to super mario super circuit. This is mainly because u hav better control and u can get more speed and not go as slow as a turtle. Racing fans will like this game, the only flaw is the music, it gets kind of annoying sometimes but it's alright.

4-0 out of 5 stars A little disappointing but still great.
F Zero X was one of my favorite games on the Nintendo 64 so I was absolutely thrilled to hear that there was an F Zero game coming out for the Game Boy Advance and while it wasnt exactly what I was expecting it was still a great game.I think that the people that were disappointed in this game were the people who are addicted to F Zero X for the N64 and F Zero GX for the Nintendo Game Cube.In this game you dont drive on cylinders or over tubes but it is still fun.I think a lot of people were hoping it would look like F Zero X but the GBA is only 32 bit so they shouldnt have expected it to look like that.I think the graphics look absolutely great for a 32 bit system and the speed is extremely fast. You have to have good reflexes to play a game like this.Fortunately it gets easier the more you practice. When you memorize the tracks it becomes pretty easy and the game is true to the original F Zero on the Super Nintendo. So I say to you before you buy this game expect tracks like the ones in the SNES original and not like the newer games. ... 4-0 out of 5 stars Great Game for "Alice" Fans
This is a pretty decent adaptation of the classic Disney movie. This game is definitely geared towards kids, as it is simple and not very lengthy, but older fans should enjoy Alice as well.I personally have always enjoyed the Disney-based games, and Alice In Wonderland was one of my favorite Disney movies.I thought the puzzles were fun to solve, and talking to the Wonderland inhabitants was a treat.I actually had just finished playing American McGee's Alice on the computer, and felt like something a bit cheerier, and it accomplished that. If you're an adult, and don't care for Alice, than you probably won't get a whole lot out of this game.Since the game plays out almost exactly as the movie, you almost have to be a fan to enjoy it.

I was rather impressed by the graphics, though. It wasn't strictly a side scroller...some levels you got to move Alice in all directions (up, down, left, right).I thought the characters looked really good, as well. The cut scenes looked almost as good as the movie, and for only being 8-bit, I think the makers did a great job with the characters, scenery, and animation.Of course, with technology today, I guess this only makes sense, but some Gameboy Color games aren't very impressive in my in my opinion. Often I find the faces on the characters average, if not below average. But the graphics on Alice are clear, and well designed.

If you're a Disney or an Alice fan, I would recommend this game.It was well-made, and the plot follows the movie well, so it's definitely a good choice for fans.I particulary enjoyed the music, which even though it was just the old-fashioned Midi-like sound, I enjoyed hearing some of my favorite songs from the film. All in all, Alice In Wonderland is a great game for kids and fans, and if you don't fit into the category, you should probably shop for another game.

4-0 out of 5 stars Alice In Wonderland
Alice In Wonderland is a great game for kids. You basicly relive parts of the movie. In the begining you play Alice and you fall down the hole. After that you go through a few levels. In the levels you encounter enimies, keys, and items. The game is pretty short but I think it would make a great gift for any Alice In Wonderland fans, collectors and kids. I would reccomed this for car rides and vacations. Hope you enjoy!

4-0 out of 5 stars Alice in Wonderland for Gameboy
Although released in 2000, Disney Interactive's
"Alice in Wonderland" is another obscure, but great
game that got lost in the shuffle of overhyped games
that year. I personally have not seen the Disney
classic in 20 yrs, but playing not only brought
me up to date on classic, but like Turtles
presented another fun and entertaining ride down
memory lane. This ride too can be taken by
anyone old or young that remembers the classic movie
based on the Lewis Carroll novel.

Graphics: 10

I give the graphics in this game a solid ten.
All the characters in the game look exactly
like they did in the classic cartoon: Alice,
Queen of Hearts, Mad Hatter, Cheshire Cat,
all look amazing. They just dont look a
a little bit like their cartoon counterparts,or almost,
but exactly!!! When it
comes down to making games based of their movies
Disney is king. With Nintendo in the background,
publishing this game with Disney, well, they
have proved to be a great combo. You buy
a Disney game you are buying a great game not
easily produced by any other game company.

There are several beautiful animations and cutscenes
including the 3d animation in the beginning where
Alice is sitting on a tree and then is
transported to Wonderland with help from the Rabbit
with the pocket watch. But that's just the
beginning, you'll be blown by the other
animations and scenes in the game, including
a fun level where Alice is miniatured in form
and must the Cheshire Cat levels that are roaming
with ghosts and Guards of Queen.

Sound and Music 5:

Well sound is practically nonexistent, aside
from the traditional "bleeps" and "blops"
in a game (where Alice takes damage), sound
was pretty average, but what saves it
though is the music. The music again is
wonderfully done, with some light and comical
tunes, some taken from the movie and some
new written just for the game itself.

Control 5:

"Alice in Wonderland" is a 2d platformer with
some nice 3d effects put in. As such controls
are easy. Alice, jumps, runs and in course
of the game collects items to pass through
Wonderland. Pretty simple stuff. No one should
have any problems with the controls they are
ridiculous simply and they're were made that way
so anyone could pick up the game and get into
it easily.

Challenge 3:

Ah, veteran gamers will pass the game in a hour
or 2 hrs tops, but there are a couple of close
turns in the game that will give everyone
a good challenge. Obviously kids will get
a bigger challenge in the game that the adults,
but the challenge is always fun, it's not one
of those games that will be tough on them.
As I said, it's a platformer, so there
are really no puzzles, however, there are
several items to collects and objectives to do,
so it will keep kids busy and happy for a long time.

Replay Value 8:

"Alice in Wonderland" shines in this area. This
game actually comes with a number of enjoyable
bonuses showing that Disney took their time and
made this game as best they could.
First of, if you do well enough in the game
such as collecting magical stars, you'll get
treated to several bonus levels in the game such
as a rabbit race with the rabbit with the cloak
and bonus levels with Cheshire cat.

However , in the menu for the game itself, they're
are other bonus items as well.
There's a "Where's in Wonderland" minigame
with Alice and characters in the game, which
is played in the tradition of "Where's Waldo" it's
actually not bad.
There's a "Alice's Art Gallery" bonus option where
basically you browse through the Art drawings
that obviously were used in making the game.
Very interesting as basically you get a look,
at the gaming designing process here, looking over
the art for the game such as characters, props
and creatures. They added it to so that kids

can play with the art and "cut" and "paste" basically
like a paint program. Fun and educational.

Overall 7:

Overall, this is another winner by Disney Interactive,
they've been making quality games for I don't know
, almost 20 yrs, lol, so those game critics out there
who never heard of Disney Interactive, well then
have missed a great library of games (too bad).
This is another great collectible item for the
Disney fan out there, Additionally, the game
itself as a platformer is very good and will
appeal to a wide variety of ages. It's geared
pretty much to kids, but older kids will like the
game as well.

Lastly, this is the only "Alice in Wonderland", they're
a couple out there. The Turbografx system had one,
Commodore 64 had one and I believe's there a pc
version out there somewhere, so if you want
to immerse yourself more in the "Alice In Wonderland"
universe, check out those games too.

5-0 out of 5 stars So much fun.So much to do.
I found, as an "Alice in Wonderland" lover, that this was full of all the adventure and fun you have while watching the film. You are actually able to interact with the characters and play in Wonderland as Alice.Though difficult at times, this game can never be considered boring.Buy it today.Don't hesitate, before they are no longer available. You won't be sorry.

5-0 out of 5 stars this is the best
i loved this game it is so fun it wasnt very hard it is good for begginners it is also very short. it has all the characters in the movie and it is just like it thats why i loved this game and the music sets the mood this is the best game but beware it is really short. ... Read more

To anybody who is a racing fan,I totally recommend this game! It's so much fun to race as the original Disney characters against Pete's evil cronies. The game may get hard at times, like when you are trying to find items so you can get a special item, but sometimes what depends where you find items is how many races you've won.I've noticed that this game is not one of those games that you can finish in 2 hours, but it is a game that goes on forever because even if you defeat Pete in each world and at the very end,you still can go back and race all the tracks over and over again. Also,if you come in contact with Pete's cronies, you lose 1 dollar each time, which is really not fair at times, because you might need one more dollar to get a special item.So if you are a racing game fan,and you like to play as original Disney characters, then I totally recommend this game to you.

4-0 out of 5 stars The Best
I got this game and loved it. My 5 year old brother was not in school and he tryied the game.Somehow my brother won me 9974 dollers. In the game you get dollers. You can be Micky,Minnie,Daiy,Donled,Goofy and ploto. You meet Chip and Dail and many other characters you know.Peet is the main problem. You race a lot .If you upgrade your car. Each car turns into a boat. I love this game . Itgets harder as you go.Buy it.

5-0 out of 5 stars Very Nice!
This game is very fun, even though I am not a very good racer. I would definitely recommend this game.

2-0 out of 5 stars Fun but a Lil complicated
if ur a racing fan u will like this game but in between each racing game u have to solve a puzzle and if u want to go to the next level and make ur car better u have to win money and it takes a while to get it done.ive been playing this game for about two years and sooner or later ur going to lose intrest and ur gonna have to have tons of patience:(:(

I hope this helped u:)

4-0 out of 5 stars THIS GAME IS TOUGH
This game is defanitly not recomended if you aren't a racing fan. If you are. you'll probably like the first part of the game, the racing part. But once you get in first place in every race you will have to beat all these hard puzzles with Pluto to get to the next racing level. The puzzles were way to hard. I wish you could just skip them. Other then that this game is just fine. You can buy new cars with money you earn from the races. All the puzzles are what kept me from giving it five stars ... Read more

This manuscript was created in the 14th century by the order of the Knights Templar and points to where their legendary power has been hidden for more than 600 years. Its new owners intend to harness the power for their own sinister agenda. 4-0 out of 5 stars This game sucks!!!
This game is way to hard! You dont get to fight at all.But there is this one part were this man will give you one of those things when you ask someone to shake your hand and they get shocked by the hand buzzer thats in your hand.Nobody shakes your hand when you ask them to on the game!!!It only works once on this man named Khan yhat wants to shake your hand before shooting you with his gun(He doesnt know you have a hand buzzer).Doent by this game!!!It really sucks!!!...

4-0 out of 5 stars Great adventure game. Great GBA game.Good Fun
Broken Sword is a standard "adventure" game (eg. myst) delivered to the GBA and they've done a fine job of it (with a few small exceptions).

As adventure games go this one is pretty straight forward and doesn't require a mensa membership to make significant progress. The bulk of the tasks in the game are not too hard to figure out, yet there are a few stumpers in there as well.

Gameplay is clear. You can move the main character around the current screen and either interact with other characters, manipulate objects, or go to other screens.

The GBA rendering is nice. There are some dialog scenes which are easy to speed through if you wish although you occasionaly get critical information via dialog. There is one scene in which having the sound turned up might provide some value.Towards the end of the adventure, gameplay is not just puzzles but also reacting quickly to events.

Some dislikes:
- The game is good in that you are stuck in an area until to you solve that local puzzle. There is a bug in the game in which you can go to Spain before Syria which will cause you to get stuck in a scene without enough artifacts to get yourself out.
- You can keep multiple games running but you have to go through some gyrations to copy games between the 3 memory areas.

This is a good game to play and will definitely keep you entertained. It is easy enough to keep you engaged but hard enough to make you work for it.

3-0 out of 5 stars i hate to rain on every1's parade but....
I didn't like this game as much as I thought I would. It was intresting enough but i beat it quickly with only a few problems(the thugs outside the hotel...and the hotel itself). Anyway it wasn't the worst i've played (if you've ever played mr.nuts you know what i mean). The graphics were great! I wasn't expecting that much on the graphic side. Anyways if you like games where you're fighting constantly then you won't like this game. Its nicely put together yet it wasn't as much fun as i thought. It requires a lot of thought; more than i wanted to put into it.

overall:
Graphics: 10/10
Gameplay: 7/10(no bugs:-) w/ little problems)
Fun:4/10
Storyline:9/10

in my opinion it was fair.

5-0 out of 5 stars Marvolous, Magnificent, Superb!- and thats just for starters
This is one of the best games I've ever played, surely the best GBA game ever. You are "George Stobbard", an American vacationing in Paris when you wittnes a bomb go off in a cafe. The plot really picks up when you discover that ring of assasins are tied into this, and a whole bunch of other neat stuff like scrolls and ancient goblets come into the picture. It's like Indiana Jones meets Dick Tracy.

The background is gorgeous, all hand drawn, the commentary is funny and witty, (press "B" on objects, some comments can be really hilarious like on the seats in the church in Paris)The plot can be surprisingly tense, and suspenseful, esspecially when you discover you can die, so save often.

If you liked this game, I'd definately suggest the book "Saving the Queen" by William F. Buckley, its just as good, but our hero is with the CIA and deals with some good old fashioned "Cold War" stuff, instead of Knights of the round table.Even if you don't read much or dissagree with WFB's politics, PLEASE READ!!! You don't know what your missing.

5-0 out of 5 stars You should DEFINANTLY buy this
this game is my favorite one out of all the ones I own (15) it has a great sense of mystery adventure and a bit of humor.worth the price buy this item!!! ... Read more

Can we play it? Yes we can, as Bob the Builder has now made it to theGame Boy Color in Fix-It Fun. It begins in Bob's yard, where he isgreeted by Dizzy, Lofty, Roley, and all his other best friends, all ready forsome serious work. Enter Wendy's office and there's a stream of jobs justwaiting to be done--notices are in the fax machine, in the files, and on theshelves. Jobs seem to be piling up everywhere, and Bob needs your help to getthem done.

Scroll up and down the job sheet menu to pick a task, and whether it's Mrs.Potts's fence, the town hall roof, feeding Pilchard, or fixing a wall with muck,it will keep the little ones busy for hours. Each smiley machine has his ownadventure for Bob to take part in, and the graphics are superb (as in all BBCchildren's games), clearly replicating these extremely popular characters.

The controls are simple and intuitive, and the enclosed instructions areillustrative and clear, taking players through the games one step at a time. They also include a number of handy hints in case building doesn't come asnaturally to everyone as it does to Bob.

For little ones who are pestering parents to buy them video games, this title isa great opportunity to combine education with entertainment. Young children willwhile away long car or plane journeys quite happily without even realizingthey're learning about shapes and patterns, numbers and letters, and tidying upand fixing things, as well as developing their hand-eye coordination andreasoning and concentration skills. (The value is much the same as when childrenuse an educational CD-ROM.)

For Bob fans everywhere, or youngsters who love using their older brother's orsister's Game Boy, Bob the Builder: Fix-It Fun lives up to its BBCcredentials: it is safe, fun, and educational. It's also the kind of video gameevery parent is looking to find. --Lucie Naylor ... Read more

4-0 out of 5 stars ITEM
This is a great item the person I bought it for LOVED IT!
Its a cute and great gift

3-0 out of 5 stars Not well thought out.
My five year old loves Bob the Builder and just inherited his brothers game boy. I thought this game would be perfect for him. The first problem is that you need to know how to read in order to play it. Since BTB is geared towards the preschool crowd, that seems weird that they would require you to do any reading.

Secondly, each level rewards you with a password. You re-enter this password whenever you start playing which brings you back to your current level. This would be fine if the child knew how to read and told me about the password, but he since he can't he just skips right over it and the password is lost. He needs to start from square one each time. Which leads to the next problem....

You have to accomplish 10 tasks (aquire 10 passwords) before you get to play with Scoop. This is so discouraging for my son because he loves Scoop. It's his favorite character and the only one he is interested in playing with. He's also the hardest to master. So if you don't write down those passwords and help your child enter them, they'll never get to play with Scoop.

How nice it would have been if the game had automatically saved your level each time you played. Is that too much to ask for in a preschool game?

4-0 out of 5 stars Bob is the best
(...)WHy would you buy a gameboy for a three year old. Bob is the greatest show in the world. I watch it every chance i get. Pilchard is so cool in this game.

1-0 out of 5 stars Too Complicated
The Bob the Builder show appeals to my not-yet literate 3 year old.

I think this game is poorly conceived and executed because
it requires the user to read several things before they can play anything with this game.

Once my son is reading, I'm fairly certain he will no longer be interested in Bob The Builder.

5-0 out of 5 stars Great game but for younger kids
My son got this game for his 6th birthday. He sat right down with it and solved it within a day.It is still keeping his attention. My daughter who is 3 is still playing with it when ever brother will let her. ... Read more

3-0 out of 5 stars too easy for a 16 year old. =)
This game has great graphics and the sounds are great with the recognisable disney aladdin tunes - it makes a difference from the annoying sounds the GBC usually makes.I found this game too easy and completed it the first day I bought it. The game doesn't have many levels. I think this game is great fun for younger gamers... probably 8-12. I don't reccomend this game for long journeys as it is a game you will want to put down.

Editorial Review

Most fishing games provide a detailed fishing simulation andnothing else, but Legend of the River King adds some role-playingelements to the mix that considerably freshen the gameplay. Apparently, you are searching for a legendary fish that can cure your sister'sillness. But this weak storyline really just provides an excuse to roamthe world trying to catch every species of fish in the game.

Catching fish may not be as exciting as rounding up hundreds ofdifferent types of Pokémon, but it is surprisingly satisfying. Asthe game progresses, players gain access to different fishing poles, various types of bait, and other fishing accessories that let them landthe bigger and more exotic catches. The role-playing elements are fairlylightweight, so hardcore RPG fans will likely be more amused thanchallenged. Still, these elements do help break up the monotony of thefishing tasks. There's even an entertaining virtual pet game that letsyou hatch a fish and raise it. It thrives or dies depending on theamount and type of attention it gets, and even mutates into new speciesdepending on the environment you establish for it. Legend of theRiver King is more relaxing than exciting, just as a good fishinggame should be. --T. Byrl Baker

Pros:

  • Nice graphics
  • Role-playing elements are unique
  • Relaxing gameplay
Cons:
  • Requires more patience than skill

5-0 out of 5 stars A fishing RPG!?
Yeah, it looks like it is a fishing RPG. Not only is it a Fishing RPG but it's fun too. You start off in a small town with limited supplies and skills. Upon catching fish, you can sell them for money, and then use the money to buy better supplies. As for your skills, along the way you'll encounter monsters. Upon defeating them your casting power and attack power will increase. The battle system is rather awkward, but is easy to get used to. The fishing system is great. You let the fish run with the line until it stops. At this point you hold down the reel button until he fights back. Repeat this process until you achieve success. One thing you need to remember is to use appropriate hook sizes. The wrong hook will not get you a catch. The game itself is quite a catch though. Along with the fish raising extra, this game is fantastic and unique.

4-0 out of 5 stars A really cool game
This game is quite hard to start with. At the beginning you have a small amount of money and you have to learn how to fish properly pretty fast. It took me a while to figure out how to catch the fish and I got a bit annoyed with it after half an hour of playing and still not catching any fish. The booklet helps you a bit but it doesn't give you detailed instructions on how to fish properly. After you've learned how to fish, the game is very enjoyable and it isn't that hard to follow. I really enjoyed playing this, and even if you don't really like fishing in real life, you should still give this game a try.

4-0 out of 5 stars A Game of Ledgendary Proportions?
This game is different from all other fishing games, here's why: This is an RPG, not just a fishing game. You fight wild animals and catch fish. Sometimes wild animals will attack you to steal your fish. Other times you have to beat a certain animal to move on. But your main goal is fishing. Your sister is dying, and you need to catch a magical fish that can save her. As you progress you get new fishing equipment to play around with. This is the main mode, but if you get tired of fishing, why don't you raise a fish? This is pretty cool, but gets old kinda quick. Thats why they (the makers) made it so the fish evolve and die depending on how you take care of them.

The Good: Gameplay, fishing tools, RPG style fighting, fighting animals, fishing itself, sprites, raising a fish can be fun.

The Bad: Graphics, weak storyline (excuse to catch all the fish!), losebait every time fish bite, some areas are pretty big (hard to get to that sweet spot), raising fish gets boring fairly quickly.

This is a unique game that is brought to you by the makers of another unique game: Harvest Moon. Altough I recommend it to fishers and RPG fans everywhere, THIS GAME IS NOT FOR EVERYONE! But many do enjoy it, as I do.

2-0 out of 5 stars Patience, I don't have.
I thought this game would be cool...like Zelda but with an angler angle.I expected it to be like fishing at the lake with Zelda in Ocarina (N64).OH, I was wrong; this game is not so cool at all.

There are two modes to this game: Raise and Fish. The raise portion is interesting because you get to set up a fish tank, feed and care for your fish and watch him/her grow.As the fish grows it morphs into different types of fish.If you take good care of your fishy you get to watch it change and grow.Yippie (read: boring).

The "fish" mode is your typical adventure game; you have to catch certain types of fish and give them to chattering people who stand around the water's edge.Fishing is HARD...but the booklet has some pointers (and a map that shows where the different kinds of fish hang out). When a fish circles around your line and you hear a sustained beep, then it's time to reel him in.Push the A button and you'll see an underwater view.Wait until the fish stops swimming away--he'll tire pretty quickly--once he stops, push and hold A to reel him in.If he pulls back, then let go of A and let him run away for a little while.Once he tires again, repeat the reeling process.Eventually you'll catch one.If the fish steals the bait, then try a different size hook or a different type of rod.It took me ages to figure out how to catch the darn cutthroat trout!

You can also catch random fish and sell them in the shop to get gold. Then you can take your gold to the shop and buy supplies, bait & equipment. You'll eventually get a raft so you can float and fish at the same time.Don't bother paddling your raft because you'll collapse and be sent to the hotel with only 1 health point remaining.

Doesn't that sound fun??

This game is a little too much like real fishing (without the beer and sunshine). You cast your line and wait...and wait...and wait.ARGH!Your patience will be drained quickly.

I like video games because my attention span is short and I need all the quick-action/reaction stuff. This game makes me YAWN (a cure for insomnia?).There are action-packed moments when you have to fight spiders, monkeys, bears, snakes and other foes; those fights are incredibly dull. The fight works like this: a little fist image floats around your foe and if you hit the A button when the fist is on the animal, you get a hit (a hit to the head defeats most foes quickly). You'll get experience points by defeating foes, but I still haven't figured out what experience points do for you.

If you like real fishing and you have reserves of patience, then you'd probably like this game.I don't *hate* it, I just wish it was more exciting; maybe that's why I don't ever go fishing. ... Read more

Whether you love them or hate them, the Olsen twins remain popular despite the conclusion oftheir long-running TV comedy Full House. The twins leap from the small screen to the evensmaller-sized Game Boy Color system in this mystery arcade game. As teenage detectives, the determinedduo aim to "solve any crime before dinner time"--but they won't get very far without your help.

While this reviewer was initially a bit skeptical about the quality of the game (which seems to have beencreated solely to cash in on the popularity of the twosome), it is, in fact, surprisingly good. Gamers mustwander through multiple arcade levels in an attempt to solve each of five separate mysteries. In order towin each level, you'll have to use your wits to open locked cages and doors containing vital clues.Mary-Kate, Ashley, and the crime-biting dog Clue must cooperate with each other to complete each level. For example, each character has a special skill that is best suited for solving a specific arcade challenge. Inmany cases, you'll need to figure out which combination of special character moves to use in order to finda new clue.

The New Adventures of Mary-Kate & Ashley is strangely addictive and unexpectedly fun. Fans ofthe Olsen twins will want to pick this up, while nonfans may want to sneak a peek when no one else islooking. --Brett Atwood

Pros:

  • Addictive arcade gameplay
  • Appeals to fans of Olsen twins

  • "Girl" theme may embarrass guy gamers

3-0 out of 5 stars The Mystery Game
The game is as discribed, but the screen is a little dark and you can barely make out what they say when they talk, I think if someone isn't site impared with a little practice this game could give hours of fun.

2-0 out of 5 stars Alright for younger girls
I bought this for my daughter, 10 at the time, and she enjoyed it somewhat. Though it did not hold her attention long. She said it was fun,but she became bored with it after about 2 months. It has since passed on to my 8 year old niece. Who pretty much gave it the same review.

3-0 out of 5 stars I guess it's ok- but not my 1st choice
Well, i guess I would say this game is pretty challenging but it's also sort of boring. The characters don't look like the olsen twins too much and the levels are sort of boring looking and are not colorful at all. If you aren't expecting very much, you will be happy when you play this game but it's not even close to how great the crash bandicoot and spyro games are for the game boy advance console.

5-0 out of 5 stars This game rocks!!!!!
I got this game 2 years ago and I still like to play it.But not as much as I used to. I love the MKA games they are so good. The only problem is when MKA talk it sounds awful but I don't care b-c the game is awesome. At first it was a little hard for me b-c it was my first gbc game and I was only 10 years old.I like how Ahley,M-K,and Clue have their own abilities. Ashley's are she can throw clue and flick switches. Mary-Kate's are she can jump high and can be bounsed on to boost others up. Clue's are canswim, can be stood onto boost others up, can be ridden, and can be thrown (by Ashley). You got to have this game even if you aren't a MKA fan.

4-0 out of 5 stars Hours of fun!

I am a 13 year old gamer and I have recently purchased a Game Boy Advanced SP.I have two games and thought about buying this as my third.I looked at the screen shots to find that it is just like the old X-men arcade game. That was a great game, and I remember playing it with my friends. Now that I have found this game, I definitely will be ordering it.As soon as I get it, I will write another review. So for now i'm giving it 4 stars. From what I can see so far, this game will be great!

1-0 out of 5 stars I guess at least it earns one star (maybe)
If I could give it a half-star, I would. Why are the x-men in the old costumes like its the 80's or something? The play is repetative and boring. Amazon.com Review

Most wrestling video games try to capitalize on well-known licenses, butend up falling short in their portrayal of TV-style wrestling. Not so theacclaimed Fire Pro Wrestling games. This translation for the GBA keepsthe tradition of play over personality intact. Any real fan of the body blow andthe suplex should want this game.

Featuring 150 different wrestlers from which to choose, each with his or her ownmoves and finishers--as well as the option to combine more than 1,200 techniquesand styles to create your own grapplers for the 3-D isometric ringside--FirePro Wrestling doesn't lack variety. You can even link up your GBA unit tofight against your friends or trade wrestlers you've created.

You can also play against the computer, which turns out to be a pretty goodopponent. The game takes full advantage of both the A and B and the shoulderbuttons, so the control is solid. Getting used to the time delay for punches andkicks can be frustrating, however. The manual does an excellent job in teachingyou the tremendous variety of moves, and once you've learned what you can do,the gameplay is extremely satisfying.

About the only thing lacking from the game is familiar personalities. Inoffering so many fighters, each seems rather bland, and one is often a thinvariation on the last. Of course, your own imagination can let you add aRock-like or Mankind-esque wrestler, if that's what you want. Anyway, it's good funfor a handheld. Can you smell what your Game Boy is cookin'? --Andrew S.Bub

Pros:

  • A wide variety of wrestlers, plus the option to make your own
  • Lots and lots of moves

Cons:
  • Could use a bit more personality
  • Slight control lag

The promotions include,WWF,WCW,nWo Japan,FMW,NJPW,AJPW,PRiDE,UFC,M-Pro,NOAH and more. This is the most complete wrestling game. To unlock hidden Characters
[. . . ] To protect infringment rights, bam! Entertainment has made up fake names for the pro wrestlers. Most WCW and WWF stars will be recognizable by name, appearence or finisher. Some of the Japanese wrestlers will also be easy to identify by the same three traits listed above. I don't mind the 2-D graphics. This is a hell of alot better than WWF Road to Wrestlemania, which sucked completely. My mistake it'a [. . .] to unlock everybody. [. . .] is the hidden character code for Fire Pro 2. Sorry for the mix up. My bad.

4-0 out of 5 stars not to shabby but the graphics- EWWWWWW!
FIre pro wrestling is a very fun, very hard game with great sound and above average game play. It was one of the first releases for the original game boy advance. The character creator is great and is actually better then most of the N64 wrestling characte creators. the bad news is, the graphics look like ... and once a match starts, the only way to stop it is to win, lose, or turn off your gameboy. ONe of the coolest things to do is to set the # of player to 0 and then watch the match like a TV show. half the time the wreastlers only grapple though if you are using created wrestlers. over all:
- Gameplay 5/6
- Graphics 3/6
- Sound 6/6
- Replayability 4/6
final score: 18/24 = B-

1-0 out of 5 stars avoid this game!!
I bought this thinking it would be good with all the features it was suppose to have. The only thing good about this game is the create a wrestler mode. The matches are boring and long!! Who wants to fight for 30 min!!!! You have to have perfect timing to pull off a move and you have to stop and hold L to breathe so you don't run out of breath!!! When I play a wrestling game I want to fight not to breate and not to have perfect timing!! With 150 wretlers is good but it doesn't make up for the terrible matches!! AVOID THIS GAME NO MATTER WHAT!!!

3-0 out of 5 stars Surprisingly fun for a generic game.
Unless it is a WWF game, I usually do not play wrestling games. I find most wrestling games to be dulled down versions of fighting.Fire Pro Wrestling is definitely an exception to my usual.

FPW offers a generic line up of wrestlers. You can pick from 16 different organizations, including a free agent pool. The names on the wrestlers are pretty generic, ranging from The Bionic Man to Mauler. I was going to discount this as another bland roster until I discovered the create-a-wrestler option. This game has the most detailed create-a-wrestler I have ever seen. You are allocated 260 points, which seems more than enough at first glance. Everything you enhance on your wrestler takes points. You can customize everything from their recovery time to what attacks are their strongest. You can even customize their AI fighting style. This is definitely the best create-a-character yet.

The feel of the game is not what I expected. FPW reverts to the old Tag Team Wrestling (NES) style of play. Pressing directions at certain times and tapping a button will determine your moves. It is a simplistic style, but also annoying when you hit the wrong button. FPW lacks the ability to run straight. You can only run in a diagonal direction, meaning that your charge moves must be very well placed. As for the graphics, I was pleased with the smoothness of motion.

Overall, I believe this is a should rent title. It is not the greatest, but there is definitely some value to the game. I liked it, but I can not see myself playing it four months from now. ... Read more

Amazon.com Review

Finally, the Rock has come to the Game Boy Advance. And he's not alone,as he's joined by 23 other WWF superstars in WWF: Road to Wrestlemania.Wrestlers like Stone Cold Steve Austin, Edge, Chris Jericho, Triple H, andWilliam Regal are here to participate in a nice variety of matches in severalsettings. Basic match types include singles, tag team, triple threat, handicap, and cage matches. WWF novelty bouts such as King of the Ring, Royal Rumble, andironman matches are also included.

Users can select from a variety of rules, including time limits, count outs, pinning victories, submission victories, and hard-core rules. The action takesplace in six arenas that mimic the various WWF television shows and pay-per-viewevents. Best of all, the game supports a link cable, allowing up to four playersto participate in the mayhem.

The gameplay is surprisingly deep. The simple controls allow for more than 40moves, including signature finishers. When each wrestler enters the ring histheme music plays to a slick video montage, much like it does on the WWFTitanTron. Unfortunately, the music that plays during the action will get onyour nerves. The character models are good, but the animation is a little off, making the wrestlers move in a jerky fashion. Also detracting from the game'sflow are moments when the opponent's artificial intelligence seems to blank out, making him stand around for a few seconds. That said, these flaws are relativelyminor compared to the depth and variety that's packed into this cartridge. Youcan finally enjoy the larger-than-life superstars of the WWF in the palm of yourhand. --Raymond M. Padilla

Pros:

  • Cool ring entrances, especially Regal's
  • Lots of moves
  • Nice variety of matches, rules, and rings
Cons:
  • Sluggish AI
  • Jilted animations
  • Grating music

3-0 out of 5 stars it was good
It had ok graphics andis good because ot is for gameboy.

4-0 out of 5 stars This game could be better
This game is really hard to figure out. I cant even do a finishing move and a submission move. This game could really be better if Shawn Michaels was on it.

4-0 out of 5 stars DO NOT BUY THIS!!!
This game sucks compared to Road to Wrestlemania X8, which in turn, is still not as Fire Pro Wrestling. I found out the hard way by buying this after I bought Road to Wrestlemania X8. Please do not waste your money.

4-0 out of 5 stars really good
Really good game, but with a steep learning curve. I bought mine used from EB games and it didn't come with the instruction booklet. I thought i'd be able to figure out how to do moves. Well...... I did, but i had to go online to find out exactly how to do them. There are many different match types. Single, handicapped, cage, tag, or triple threat. There is also a season,Gauntlet, King of the ring, Ironman, Royal Rumble, and Pay Per view. There is also linkup multiplayer. There are six arenas. Raw, smackdown, king of the ring, summerslam, Royal Rumbale, and Wrestlemania. There are twenty four characters. The sound is probably the worst part. They do have entrances, but they just flash pictures and play bad sound-bits of that person's theme music. The graphics are impressive. But you wouldn't be able to tell the difference between Mat and Jeff Hardy. They look exactly alike. Overall good game once you get the hang of it. You should play it before you buy it.

4-0 out of 5 stars pretty fun but could be better
this game is fun but could be better. because,. there are only 24 superstars and there where more at the time this game was made. and every time they make an entreance there is always the bottom off the raw stage. i wish they had more weapons than just 2sticks,achair and a bell. and they could of let the wrestlers wrestle on the stage too. and the could of put a tlc match also. ... Editorial Review

Lizzy the monster lizard, Ralph the overgrown wolf, and George the giant gorilla are still readyto rampage, but it's up to a whole new strain of mutants to rescue them in Midway's Rampage 2:Universal Tour for the Game Boy Color. (Note: This game is playable only on Game Boy Color, notGame Boy.)

The object is still to destroy as many of Earth's cities as possible. The new mutants stomping theblock--Curtis the rat, Boris the rhino, and Ruby the lobster--are every bit as hungry as their predecessorsfrom the successful multiplatform Rampage series, and they're just as hacked off. In one-playermode, choose one of the mutants and devour your way through scores of Earth's most famous cities. Or linkup with another Game Boy Color for an excellent two-player cooperative mode.

But beware while you're stomping buildings and cars and munching on the world's populace, becausemilitary forces are out to stop you. For extra points (and fun), smash the tanks, bombers, helicopters, androbots that come after you. The more people you snack on--soldiers and civilians alike--the healthier you'llstay. Mutants have to stick together, so rescue the aforementioned veteran monsters for special bonuses.--Bill Hutchens

Pros:

  • Highly detailed cities
  • Everything is breakable (which is a great stress reliever!)
  • Lots of hidden surprises--be sure to smash and eat as much as possible
Cons:
  • 2-player mode is great, but arcade purists may miss the 3-way fun of the original version

4-0 out of 5 stars It's a great game
It's fun,but if you have it for N64,forget about getting it for game boy. It's great, but the graphics stink.

2-0 out of 5 stars boring
This game has a good backround and idea, but it is exceedingly dull. You go arround jumping on cars and climbing buildings. Big deal. I would almost rather wach golf. If you want to burn money and be bored to death, buy thisgame.

5-0 out of 5 stars Iloved it!
I own this game and I love it! It's full of action.I think it's a great game for anyone of any age.

4-0 out of 5 stars Rampage 2 Is Great
Rampage2: Universal Tour is a great game just like the original. The repetitive goal of destroying buildings doesnt seem to bore the player. I enjoyed it very much and reccommend it to anyone who likes destruction games. It is a lot like Godzilla- you walk through cities and trashbuildings. Very Fun. I give it an A !

4-0 out of 5 stars Very Cool
One of the "most wanted" items on my 10 year old's Christmas list, Rampage is quick and exciting. However, he finished eating all the cities in one day, so this game probably would suit a younger player. ... Read more

2-0 out of 5 stars SOOO EASY!
spirit is a fun game but after finishing it about 10 times it got pretty boring. This game is just too easy! I have beaten it over 5 times in one day. The movie is great but they should make a more challenging game.

4-0 out of 5 stars great game!
I recommend this game for kids who loved the movie. I bought this game to play. the only thing I am confused about is how to talk to the animals and give them the food they want. This game is a challenge but is fun.

4-0 out of 5 stars This game stinks!!
I bought this game for my 5 and 3 yr old sons since they both liked the movie so much. BUT, what a waste of money. The game is sooooo boring. My kids usually fight over the GBA games and we have to take timed turns to keep the peace, but not with this game. Neither one of them ever wants to play it. Save your money and buy something else.

4-0 out of 5 stars This game is great for all Spirit lovers.

4-0 out of 5 stars CT Special Forces 2
I think this game is really fun but somtimes it gets boring becuase its hard to complete.
But if your looking for a action packed game where you go through levels, using an inventory of weapons to kill terrorists this is definitley the game for you.

4-0 out of 5 stars More action games!
I haven't seen this game or played it, I don't know what game on other systems it's like but I think that they should come out with socom US Navy Seals for GBA. It may not be as good as it is on PS2 but it will still be pretty good. As long as you can shhot and kinda tell the good guys from the bad guys it will be good.

4-0 out of 5 stars GET READY METAL SLUG FANS!!

4-0 out of 5 stars Nice
This is an exact rip from a SNES game, just with updated rosters, to me. It was exactly the same in the style of the game, and the way it played. Like the SNES version, It's sound it horrible, the gameplay is nothing special, but they games are quick, fun, and sweet to a point. I would reccomend this game to hockey fans, definitely.

5-0 out of 5 stars This is what I was hoping for when they came out with GBA...
When they said that the GBA had the same kind of engine that the SNES had, I was praying they'd just re-release certain SNES games I loved onto this system, and that's pretty much what they did with NHL 2002.It's really the same thing as NHL '96, one of my favorite games ever, with updated teams and rosters, only with minor tweaks here and there that actually improve the game. For example, on a penalty, the player just goes straight to the box instead of dilly-dallying around forever.Sounds insignificant, but it improves the flow of the game.Plus, the 'expert' difficulty level is actually somewhat hard, unlike past EA NHL games, and its a lot harder to exploit goaltender's weaknesses.(I still remember Tampa Bay's Darren Puppa in the original NHL '96 game... slapshot from the blue line, automatic goal, every time.)

NHL 2002 is an ideal GBA game for long road trips or plane rides. Now if only they'd release Ken Griffey Baseball and Chrono Trigger for GBA...

5-0 out of 5 stars Great in all aspects
This game is one of the best NHL games i've ever played. It has all kinds of features. One of the best things in this game are the graphics. The graphics in this game are about as good as the grahics of the Playstation 2 and the Game Cube. The game also has great player detail, and it has every player from the 2001 NHL season. It also has fights, practice games, trades, and a create a player mode. The fights in this game are really fun, even though they don't have blood like some other games do. In practice games you can do one on two, three on one, five on two, or any other combination of player games. Create a player mode is cool because you can put yourself into the game. You can upgrade a players stats to make him have greater shot power, stick handeling, speed, or a bunch of other things. This game is great. I advise you to buy it as soon as posible.

4-0 out of 5 stars Much better then it looks
When I first bought this game, I just got it because I wanted a hockey game, and didn't expect much. But boy was I wrong, this game is great, it unlike most sports games for GBA where you can bearly see the people, this game you can see the people, and they actully look something like real people. If any of you remember the NHL 95 game for Sega, it is very similar to that game execpt that the rosters are updated. But the one downfall to this game is that rosters are still old. Even when you are in the with trades mode, the rosters are still old, but you can still trade the players. I would strongly recommend this game.

4-0 out of 5 stars Good game
NHL 2002 is good coming from EA Sports it has high expectations. One flaw to it is there is no international teams in it, only NHL teams. The create a player is cool, but the sound track gets really annoying and there is no announcer during game play. Overall it is pretty good ... Read more
