There are many ways to play this game, including multi-player, which makes this game a must have. The graphics are very clear and the precision of the driving is great--you don't crash around every corner. However, hitting your opponents three times fast is very difficult, but you can just slow down and wait for them to go around again if you like to have a nice scenic bike ride. There is Wild Race, where you race against three other bikers and a cop.In Cop Patrol, you're the cop and have to knock down all four bikers.Time Attack lets you race without opponents against a clock (very difficult).I haven't figured out Survival mode yet because it requires a password and my first password for Wild Race doesn't work on it.Multi-player lets up to two players connect (I haven't done this). Finally, there is a tips section that gives clues as to the gameplay. It's fairly simple but tons of fun, and the variations just make it a bonus on bonus.

Someone obviously put together a great voxel engine for the GBA, problem here is that they've barely mapped a game onto it.Don't expect any depth here. Only choices for play are single track or championship (race through all seven.) Once you get used to the steering controls (seems that you turn sharper the faster you're driving, which feels incorrect) the game is very easy - takes about 20 minutes to beat the game. Finally, there are practically no physics to go along with the neat terrain, jumping doesn't seem to work the way you'd expect, and you can drive right up steep slopes. Great visuals, decent sound, shallow/mediocre gameplay.

Good game to get if you don't have anything to do most of the day.
It is a fine game but the play is somewhat repetative and not so engaging for the grown-up gamer.I expect that younger games would have a good time with this though. That said the graphics are fine as is the sound. The levels and scenes are laid out so that there is plenty of variety which is always a good thing. One thing to note is that on some levels the the doorways are hard to see. They look more like someone shining a light in the shape of a door on the wall instead of a real door itself.Once you get used to this, though, it is very clear where the doors are. ... Amazon.com Review Though this game is basedon a sequel, most gamers will immediately recognize the first couple of levelsfrom the classic 1953 film. Thegame starts with a visit to now-grown-up Wendy's house to take her kids on theirown adventure to Never Land. Once there, Tinker Bell is kidnapped, so you've gotto rescue her and all of the Lost Boys spread throughout levels in the game. Ason any other platformer, you must run, jump, and dispatch baddies (Peter doesthis with his trusty dagger, which he can also throw) to get to where you'regoing, but here you can also fly--provided you have Tink and enough pixie dustby your side. The power-ups and secret items are plentiful and pretty easy tofind, which seems to be the right difficulty approach, given the youngeraudience of this game. Older kids and adults may want to play the game at theharder difficulty setting in the options menu. There are also clips of the moviethat can be unlocked by finding hidden film reels, but these are short andrather bland. The downside of this title is still very common among portable games: no batterysave feature. Rather than saving your progress through the game, players aregiven jumbled strings of letters to mark their completion of the end of a level. It's not a dealbreaker, but it means players will need pen and paper handy ifthey want to continue. And there's no way to save midlevel. --Porter B.Hall Pros: Reviews (3)

Visuals: 4/5 Sound: 3/5 Nothing spectacular here. Better sound effects than III or IV, but not by much. Instead of going "BOP" when a baddy gets shot, it makes a small crush sound. The lazer shots don't quite sound as annoying either, but the music score is a little annoying sometimes. Gameplay: 4/5 Everything you'd expect from a Gradius game, except for one thing: In previous Gradius games, if you pumped the difficulty up as high as it would go, and you died in the middle of a stage and lost all your power-ups, it was extremely difficult to come back. That does not hold true for this game. You can continue from just about any part of the game and make a comeback fairly well, as the designers usually place a significant amount of powerups at each respawn portion of the game. The only time that the game is next to impossible without powerups is when you've beaten the game several times through, and are playing on a high loop setting. Extra: 4/5 It's great that you can continue from any respawn point that you have reached on any difficulty setting! This allows for gamers to pick up, play for a few minuettes, and when they die, put it away so that they can play later at almost the spot they died. I also like the hint section, even though it doesn't do any good if you are playing on anything higher than normal difficulty. The reason I gave 4/5 for extra, is because in previous Gradius games, the player could customize the ship more. In this one they have a bunch of presets that are fairly well balanced out. Overall 4/5 It's a great game for gamers that are new to shooters and shooter fans alike. The lower difficulty settings, good respawn points, and hint modes, make the game pretty eassy for beginners. The ability to continue from spots after looping through the game allows for advanced shooter gamers to play at extremely difficult settings. I'd call this game a must have for GBA owners, unless you're really not interested in intense gameplay.
Gradius gives lots of cool and customizable options, but your ship's starting speed is so slow you can't even avoid being hit by enemies with 2-3 seconds to react!Once you can get a speed power up things balance out, but seriously the game is complete frustration trying to dodge slow moving enemies with a sluggish ship and still not being able to do so. Avoid this game unless you are a Gradius freak and need to re-live the old days.

The most frustrating aspect of this game, however is the way Batman reacts to his environment. The edge detection seems to be off slightly, causing Batman to plummet to his death more often than he should. This wouldn't bother me so much if the gameplay didn't rely so heavily on planning precice jumps from platform to platform, all while avoiding enemies and other hazards. If you think you are the kind of person who can look past the wacky environment physics, the game is fairly rewarding. I just wish the developers took some clues from other games that got it right.
I am Batman. No wait - I'm Robin. No wait...

that, however, is all the praise i can give it. the controls of this game are probably the worst i've ever encountered. i got stuck at one point because i couldn't get down the stairs. i got up the stairs fine to go into an upstairs area fine, but i had no idea how to get down. i spent twenty minutes trying to get down the stairs before i gave up in frustration. pressing down didn't work, going to the stairs and pressing down and in the direction of the stairs didn't work. i tried many, many combinations of buttons to get down the stairs and found out that none of them worked. i considered stopping my adventures in Revenge of Shinobi after the aforementioned stairs incident. i turned the GBA off, but then decided not to let the game beat me. i finally figured out how to get down the stairs, but it just got worse. the password system instead of a battery save is horrible, and doesn't seem to work half the time (ie: sometimes the password i received to get back to a particular level worked, sometimes it told me the password was invalid). the levels are tedious--you just walk through them and slash, slash, slash away with your katana. in the end, the game won the battle and i stopped playing after beating the first two bosses. i felt cheated and angry that such a classic could be turned into such a horrible abomination. unless you have a severe masochist streak, i would stay far, far away from this game. it will reduce you into a frustrated, crying lump on the floor and remove any good memories you may have had about the Shinobi series. i think that this is the worst game i have ever played. ... This game, supposedly, plays like Doom. I haven't played the classic Doom, but this game feels like an old school shooter nonetheless. And that's partly what I like about it, is the no-frills action of it. a pure and simple shooter, of sorts. It's a very different feel from a lot of the games nowadays that get bogged down in storylines you could care less about, games that have cutscenes, games where you have to manage inventories, games where... just, I don't know. This game is easy to go into and just play.

Players choose one of two characters to play as in this side-scrolling shooter. I love contra and metal slug style games, and I really like this game too. I am happy gameboy advance offers this game. Gameplay: The two characters are similar. One is a Native American-his secondary weapon is an axe he can throw. The other character is a muscular rough and tough looking guy-his secondary weapon is a chain with a blade on the end that he swings out at bad guys. He can use this chain to hang from many ceilings. While hanging he can rock back and forth and then let go to fly forward. It's useful to reach some places. The game plays fast and intense. I think its a ton of fun. Enemies spawn often, and it's fun to destroy them. Weapons include a pistol, machine gun, flame thrower, laser, heavy machine gun, shotgun, and rocket launcher. Players can also find a more powerful version of each gun. In the same order as the weapons, their powered-up versions are laser pistol, 3-way gun, green flame thrower with more power and longer reach, reflective laser, super heavy machine gun, 2-way shotgun that fires green flame, and homing rocket. Aside from running, players climb ladders and jump over pits and boulders while destroying enemies. Occasionally a level is viewed from behind the character's shoulder like the terminator 2 arcade game. Players move a crosshairs to shoot bad guys. I like these occasional levels; they add some nice variety. Graphics: I like the graphics. Most guns look great when they fire. THe shotgun expels a brilliant flame as it fires, and the three-way gun fires flashing bluish green lasers. THe rockets and regular pistol look good, but I expected more flair because contra in the arcade had more flair. THe bullets are yellow balls, and the rockets look like rockets, but they don't look ultra powerful to me. THe foregrounds are nice with barracks, boulders, jungles, street lights, city streets, and other cool stuff. The backgrounds look sharp; I really like the city level; I think it's the third level. The characters and enemies look good, they could look a little sharper; I don't have a clear sense of their animations or bodies. Overall I think the graphics do a good job; they work for me. Sound: THe sound isn't bad, but it's not wonderful. Right now, I can't remember specific toons, but when I play, the music adds to the aggressive feelings I enjoy when I play. Sound effects are fun, but do not stand out in my memory. I was hoping for deeper gun sound effects; many of them have a flat bang sound, and I was hoping for more exotic gun sound effects. I do like both shotgun sound effects.
