4-0 out of 5 stars A Game for Baseball Fans
Personally i'm not a huge baseball fan.Ocassionally I watch a game but not too often. This game is great if you are a fan of baseball but i didn't like it that much.I am stinky at hitting home runs and I can not hit the ball often. You ahve to know some of the things in baseball and i really don't get the point of this game anyway it gets kind of annoying sometimes like when you confuse your players with the ones on the other team. Also some of the games are hard and I usually strike out.I like this game but i wouldn't really recommend it if you are not a baseball fan.If you buy it and you have no idea what baseball is all about just remember I warned you!

5-0 out of 5 stars Terrific Game all-around
I first started playing this game in computer class and fell in love with it right away. What i like about it is that you can pick real MLB players, fake people, or create your own. You can also chose from real teams or fake teams. The levels and practice are really cool, for whatever may be your speed. Hope this review helped you, I have played this like over 100+ times

Thanks!

1-0 out of 5 stars piece of crap
what a piece of crap. i just bought this game. played it for 2 mins. realized there is NO PITCHING. YOU HIT OFF A @!#$##$#$ TEE BALL STAND. THIS GAME BLOWS. IMMEDIATELY SOLD IT BACK TO AMAZON. bought all star baseball 2004 instead.. no challenge at all to this game. jacked homeruns like i was stealing jewelry from old ladies. TOO EASY. NO FUN.

4-0 out of 5 stars Backyard Baseball
Backyardbaseball is de bomb! i think it's really cool that u can link and play and stuff like that. the only thing that's not the perfect thing about the game is the created players, because you can't make them that good. but the good thing is that they gain experience points if you choose them in a season. i link with my brother all the time.

2-0 out of 5 stars Too Easy
This game is fun but too easy. You can easily go through an entire season without a loss. ... Read more

1-0 out of 5 stars This game is horrible
This game makes no sense at all.No gravity, no storyline and no fun. This game is incredibly boring. The graphics stink. It is very hard to load an old game. You have to remember a little code that the game supplies and you can't even create something that you would remember.Do not waste your money.I hate this game and you probably will too. Hope I was helpful.

4-0 out of 5 stars Good Game
I think this game is fun.It teaches you how to do tricks in the tutorial. It is sort of like a Tony Hawkes game.I like Tony Hawkes Underground better, but this game is still a lot of fun.I have beaten all of the missions but two.

4-0 out of 5 stars Zero gravity, zero entertainment
There was no story line. You are being told to do things without reason. It is nothing like a Tony Hawk game. You can't get off your board to do other things like climb or grab edges. It's hard to get the money with the points you earn unless the points are specifically named like shoobie score.I've always liked Rocket Power but this game stinks.I would recommend the Rocket Power Beach Bandits game instead.

4-0 out of 5 stars Splendiferous
The original Sabre Wulf was made for the ZX Spectrum and Commodore 64 back in 1984. It spawned 3 sequels called Knight Lore, Nightshade and Underwurlde (plus 2 further sequels that never got released called Pentagram and Mire Mare). Now arrives the 4th sequel, once again called Sabre Wulf.

Sabre Man (our hero of the franchise) is now quite old but still has that spirited Indiana Jones/David Attenborough fondness for adventure about him. In this game he is camping in the forest outside of Blackwyche Village when the evil Doctor Dolittle-Goode sets the imprisoned Sabre Wulf free to wreck havoc up on the innocent citizens. Our hero jumps to the rescue. This is where we take over.

The gameplay of Sabre Wulf is a mix of RPG elements and platforming action. As Sabre Man you wander all over a relatively large map covering locations such as Mount Knightlore, the Underwurlde Mines, Blackwyche village and docks and Karnath Jungle. In each of these areas are entrances into the 2D platform levels in which you must rescue treasure, useful objects or people from the Sabre Wulf using good animals to cancel out bad animals. For example the 'boomer' is a small dragon that can blow up almost anything, the 'blubba' is a fat bear you can bounce on to reach higher levels and the Bigfoot will give a nasty rock a kick to smash it. Obviously there are many more creatures to help you.

Each level offers a learning curve. You must attempt the harder ones a good few times, memorising the dangers within, in order to complete them. It sounds repetitive but the gameplay is easy to pick up and totally addictive.

The graphics look gorgeous, the sound effects just as good and even the music can be quite atmospheric and impressive when it's not busy being cute. There are some side missions to give the game a longer life when you're done with the Sabre Wulf too.

Definitely a game that shows off what the GBA is capable of and one to look out for.

4-0 out of 5 stars Good times to be had by this GBA title
Finally, a game that embodies human disdain for wild animals AND mad scientists! Guide the now geriatric Sabreman and his pocket zoo (you will have a library of animals to help him out along the way) on a quest to stop Dr. Doo-Little Good and Sabrewolf while fetching orchids, toboggans and other lost/desired objects for the helpless villagers. The graphics and plot line are pretty consistent with Nintendo standards and the game is basically played with 2 buttons and the thumb pad. I also mentioned the pocket zoo; to get past certain obstacles (like a boulder or angry snake) you have a collection of animals that you can `use' to fix the situation. For example, you can use a large bear with a club to smack enemies out of your way, or perhaps a larger, tubbier animal that lets you bounce on his belly to leap over a boulder you otherwise couldn't get past yourself. No big surprises or puzzles here, but with entertainment in the form of short, simple, game play, Sabrewolf envelopes the whole idea behind the Game Boy Advance. I was able to fill every free moment of line waiting, commercial breaks, conference calls at work and travel via public transportation. Good times.

5-0 out of 5 stars Finally a game I finished
I loved this game.It is hard for me to finish games, because you will reach a level that you just cannot pass. This game seems to cut you a break after some effort so you can move on.
It was really fun and addicting.

It was really worth the $$$. ... Read more

1-0 out of 5 stars The ratings have got to change! Not for everyone!
I bought this for my 5 year old for his birthday.Disappointing to say the least!!Read all the reviews because they are all correct. The graphics are horrible.Reading, Reading, Reading! No game play.I hate the rating system on these games.E for everyone does not mean everyone. Most 5 year olds can't read therefore it is not for them!I was even quite bored with all the reading. My suggestion to you is to find a second hand dealer like GameStop and try the game before you buy.Wish I had. They let you try up to 3 games per visit before buying.

2-0 out of 5 stars Raggy, Ris is Rerrible!
Oh my gosh, what a waste. This was a terrible game. The ratings go like this:

Graphics: 2/10
The graphics are terrible. Theryre all fuzzy and unsharp.

Conrols:2/10
Moving Scooby is real hard. He goes the opposite way sometimes that you want to go. And sometimes youll be pressing the button and he wont even move.

Music: 1/10
The music is haunting. Its like the music you hear when your on your deathbed.

Fun: 5/10
This fun is alright. The problem is that you have to get to different places, but they all look the same, so you dont know where to go.

Overall: 2/10
The game cold be better with some improvments, and they sholdve spent a little more time on it instead of rushing it out onto the market.

5-0 out of 5 stars SCOOBY DOO
Not just another mindless shooting and killing rated M frenzy, SCOOBY DOO is a game that takes skill, practice and some real thought. It is a puzzle filled, mind thinking fun game that is educational and also very fun for kids and teens (10 and up). This game will be boring for the kids who just want shooting and fighting sprees because you only get to fight after the first two stages (which might take a few days to beat). It's cool that the more levels you beat, you unlock more characters. Recommended TO GBA owners!

4-0 out of 5 stars Finally, a real game!
I just bought a new GameBoy Advance system and decided to get some games as well. I bought this game and thought it was challenging, took thought, some time and some interest, not just walking around and plotlessly hitting street walkers. This is a great game but it might be too hard with kids. I think this game is more for teenagers than little kids under 13. This is a great game and provides days of nonstop fun and adventure, trying to unlock the mystery of the haunted hotel! Also available are many other SCOOBY DOO games on PS1 and 2 and on Gameboy color.

4-0 out of 5 stars Jinkies! This game is fun!
I'm a 20 year old college student with a love for video games, and this was one of the 1st two games I purchased for my Game Boy Advance, which I just bought on January 4.This game was a hard find, but I'm glad I found it. I think the factor that drove me to getting this game was the fact that I really enjoyed the movie, even though I was never really into Scooby-Doo to begin with, although I always liked Scooby. It's actually a blast to play, and once you get the hang of it (I did by the first night I had it) it's really not bad.You have to find your friends, some clues, and solve some puzzles. Each character is specially suited to do certain tasks.I am actually playing as Velma right now, who is my favorite Scooby character, besides Scooby himself. What it boils down to, once you get the hang of it, this game is enjoyable. The handle is great, and the role-playing aspect is fun. The graphics are also great, because the boards are exactly like the scenes from the movie, and the actual actors' images are seen in the game, not just bad cartoon representations of them. I'm hoping that I'll find Fred and Daphne soon, so I have more characters to choose from.Otherwise, this is a good game.Enjoy!:) ... Read more

1-0 out of 5 stars Save your money and Don't buy this game.
I was lucky to get this game as a present because I would have really wasted my money.
The game was fun for the first 30 minutes but it quickly went downhill. The same music starts to get annoying and the cars are hard to control because of your point of view in the game. And instead of just saving it give you passwords to write down and memorize. All you do in this game is just...drive!
I quickly get bored with this game and I'm even thinking of selling this game to salvage some of the wasted money.

Don't Buy this game.

I rented the Midnight Club for the Xbox and found it really fun. I've been thinking about buying the game but I'm looking for one used or when the price goes down. I went to a local game store and saw this game. I thought it would be like the Xbox game but actually it's pretty lame. It's like playing Grand Thief Auto and you can't even get the car to drive straight most of the time. I didn't find it very fun and I think I should of just kept my money. Not worth it in my mind. I don't mind selling it to someone else.

3-0 out of 5 stars Game is too hard. VERY HARD !
There's no easy level. I couldn't beat the first enemy. Everytime i try to pucnh, the enemy will ALWAYS block my punch. There is NO WAY to punch the enemy. Its supposed to be a boxing game, not a "hey beat me" kind of game. This game sucks because i couldnt play it. If i couldnt play it, 99% of gamers out there wouldnt be able to play too.

4-0 out of 5 stars Do all of you people really believe this is a 5 star game?
OK, let's get it out of the way. Yes, this game is great looking. It is not only very flashy with large cartoon looking characters and backgrounds, but it has style too. The game has a lot of personality. It even sounds good, with a bit of digitized voice, and decent music & sound effects. The little story is kind of funny, but its more goofy than funny. This game does not look or sound cheap.

The play control is tight, with good response, and natural button choices (buttons on the left punch with your left arm, etc). And, oh yeah, it's kind of like Punch-Out! There are 3 save game slots to keep your record and money. But this is still a $20 game and they had to cut corners somewhere. Well, actually I don't know if they HAD to, but they did.

This game is very short and can be beaten with relative ease, in the first setting, with the exception of the final boss, Don. That guy is quite hard. The other thing is that while the control is tight, it is also pretty shallow. You have six basic punches, but very little distinguishing one from the other. Anything a left punch will do, a right punch will do as well. The super moves you can buy are not very impressive, but they help improve the depth a bit. Maybe some people out there would stay interested in this game for dozens upon dozens of hours. I am not one of these people.

It's a good game, buy it if it sounds good to you. But it's only a real deal at $20. You can think of it as a really flashy skin put on old Punch-Out! gameplay. Or you can think of it as an incredibly shallow fighting game, that is also very pretty. Chances are you'll start out the former and end up the latter. But, I still say someone in the mood for handheld arcade boxing will enjoy this.

5-0 out of 5 stars One of the Best Handheld Games Ever Made
This is the game Punch-Out fans have been waiting for. It has all the quick-reflex fun and quirky personality of the old Nintendo classic, updated with fantastic hand-drawn animation and light RPG elements that extend the gameplay. The character design is wonderful, the writing is funny, the gameplay is perfect. Even the music is good. At 19.99, this is the bargain of the year. I can't over-emphasize how great this game looks. You've never seen anything like it on a handheld console screen.

By the way, this is the first video game I've ever ordered from Amazon. I ordered it because a certain enormous Video Game store chain (same initials as Eloping Baboons) has decided not to carry it. That company's buyer is, apparently, an idiot. Thank you, Amazon, for making such a great game available!

5-0 out of 5 stars This game ain't got s*** on Punchout
Counter Punch is a Punchout style game with great animations and graphics. Game play is smooth like Sweetness the local pimp in the game and jokes are hilarious!!! Overall this game is a lot fun, challenging and worth every penny spent ($19.99!) a bargain! PLUS you can buy the referee hats and bribe too, incidentally realistic [bribes!] now quit reading and go purchase this game!

5-0 out of 5 stars Dope A$$ Game !!!
This game is a Mike Tyson Punchout type game, presentation is amazing, animation and characters are amazing, this game is incredibly addictive and is a must for anyone with a Gameboy Advanced. Includes a humurous cast of characters, sarcastic and funny story line, plus you can buy hats for the ref to wear during the matches !!!! LOL !!! It's a very very fun game, now quit reading this and buy it !!! Nintendo Power Magazine gave it 4 out of 5 stars !!! ... Read more

Amazon.com Review

Most wrestling video games try to capitalize on well-known licenses, butend up falling short in their portrayal of TV-style wrestling. Not so theacclaimed Fire Pro Wrestling games. This translation for the GBA keepsthe tradition of play over personality intact. Any real fan of the body blow andthe suplex should want this game.

Featuring 150 different wrestlers from which to choose, each with his or her ownmoves and finishers--as well as the option to combine more than 1,200 techniquesand styles to create your own grapplers for the 3-D isometric ringside--FirePro Wrestling doesn't lack variety. You can even link up your GBA unit tofight against your friends or trade wrestlers you've created.

You can also play against the computer, which turns out to be a pretty goodopponent. The game takes full advantage of both the A and B and the shoulderbuttons, so the control is solid. Getting used to the time delay for punches andkicks can be frustrating, however. The manual does an excellent job in teachingyou the tremendous variety of moves, and once you've learned what you can do,the gameplay is extremely satisfying.

About the only thing lacking from the game is familiar personalities. Inoffering so many fighters, each seems rather bland, and one is often a thinvariation on the last. Of course, your own imagination can let you add aRock-like or Mankind-esque wrestler, if that's what you want. Anyway, it's good funfor a handheld. Can you smell what your Game Boy is cookin'? --Andrew S.Bub

Pros:

  • A wide variety of wrestlers, plus the option to make your own
  • Lots and lots of moves
  • Trade wrestlers and play head-to-head by linking up
Cons:
  • Could use a bit more personality
  • Slight control lag

4-0 out of 5 stars Fire Pro Wrestling is awesome.
This is a great wrestling game. The best for the GBA next to the second version. You have to rename all of the wrestlers you know. This is to protect the copyright issues. A few of the hints to rename a)the nicknames chosen b)the names chosen and c) the finishers chosen.
to unlock the hidden wresters you must go to the EDIT menu

select EDIT SUPERSTAR

go to NAME ENTRY.

on the first line type ALL

on the line below it type STYLES

and on the line next to that type CLEAR.

This should unlock all the hidden wrestlers.

The promotions include,WWF,WCW,nWo Japan,FMW,NJPW,AJPW,PRiDE,UFC,M-Pro,NOAH and more. This is the most complete wrestling game. To unlock hidden Characters
[. . . ] To protect infringment rights, bam! Entertainment has made up fake names for the pro wrestlers. Most WCW and WWF stars will be recognizable by name, appearence or finisher. Some of the Japanese wrestlers will also be easy to identify by the same three traits listed above. I don't mind the 2-D graphics. This is a hell of alot better than WWF Road to Wrestlemania, which sucked completely. My mistake it'a [. . .] to unlock everybody. [. . .] is the hidden character code for Fire Pro 2. Sorry for the mix up. My bad.

4-0 out of 5 stars not to shabby but the graphics- EWWWWWW!
FIre pro wrestling is a very fun, very hard game with great sound and above average game play. It was one of the first releases for the original game boy advance. The character creator is great and is actually better then most of the N64 wrestling characte creators. the bad news is, the graphics look like ... and once a match starts, the only way to stop it is to win, lose, or turn off your gameboy. ONe of the coolest things to do is to set the # of player to 0 and then watch the match like a TV show. half the time the wreastlers only grapple though if you are using created wrestlers. over all:
- Gameplay 5/6
- Graphics 3/6
- Sound 6/6
- Replayability 4/6
final score: 18/24 = B-

1-0 out of 5 stars avoid this game!!
I bought this thinking it would be good with all the features it was suppose to have. The only thing good about this game is the create a wrestler mode. The matches are boring and long!! Who wants to fight for 30 min!!!! You have to have perfect timing to pull off a move and you have to stop and hold L to breathe so you don't run out of breath!!! When I play a wrestling game I want to fight not to breate and not to have perfect timing!! With 150 wretlers is good but it doesn't make up for the terrible matches!! AVOID THIS GAME NO MATTER WHAT!!!

3-0 out of 5 stars Surprisingly fun for a generic game.
Unless it is a WWF game, I usually do not play wrestling games. I find most wrestling games to be dulled down versions of fighting.Fire Pro Wrestling is definitely an exception to my usual.

FPW offers a generic line up of wrestlers. You can pick from 16 different organizations, including a free agent pool. The names on the wrestlers are pretty generic, ranging from The Bionic Man to Mauler. I was going to discount this as another bland roster until I discovered the create-a-wrestler option. This game has the most detailed create-a-wrestler I have ever seen. You are allocated 260 points, which seems more than enough at first glance. Everything you enhance on your wrestler takes points. You can customize everything from their recovery time to what attacks are their strongest. You can even customize their AI fighting style. This is definitely the best create-a-character yet.

The feel of the game is not what I expected. FPW reverts to the old Tag Team Wrestling (NES) style of play. Pressing directions at certain times and tapping a button will determine your moves. It is a simplistic style, but also annoying when you hit the wrong button. FPW lacks the ability to run straight. You can only run in a diagonal direction, meaning that your charge moves must be very well placed. As for the graphics, I was pleased with the smoothness of motion.

Overall, I believe this is a should rent title. It is not the greatest, but there is definitely some value to the game. I liked it, but I can not see myself playing it four months from now. ... Read more

5-0 out of 5 stars SWEET!
This game is awsome! If you like games that aren't "run throu and shoot everbody's head off"(a.k.a HALO)you will love this game. The bad guy's A.I is farily smart. You have alot of butt kinkn'gatets and stuff. You also get more than your share of explosives.Only one think that I HATE about it,and that's not enogh levels. Overall it ROCKS!!!!!!!

4-0 out of 5 stars Great game.
This is a totally great game with a lot of cool moves and levels.the only con is that there are only 10 levels the others can only be unlocked through the game cube or by the sucess rate.I completed all the levels in 2 days it is a pretty short game.

4-0 out of 5 stars The best game ever
when i first played this game i thought it was going to be bad.But then when i played it was excellent and all my friends wanted to buy it.But still the best game is Advance Wars 1 & 2.

4-0 out of 5 stars It's very fun, unless your'e an average gamer
I liked the game, but if you arent too good at gaming, you may run into an almost impossible spot in the game, I am an above average gamer, but when I first played it, there was an impossible spot in Caspian Oil RTefinery mission. At first it's so easy my 8 year old sister could play it and not be killed, but then at the end of the mission, you have to chase a mercanery, and after 14 tries, Icould still not get past it, but eventually, I did.

4-0 out of 5 stars Timetodosomespyingaround...
You are Sam Fisher,a Splinter Cell, and your mission is to stop terrorists.
This is a very good stealth game.It doesn't much the greatness of the game for PS2,X-BOX,GAMECUBE,and PC,but it's still very good.
It feautures the best graphics I have ever seen in a GBA game so far. It's levels are great, and the moves that you can accomplish are spectacular.
So why am I rating it four stars, and not five?
Because of the control.It [disappoints].
Most of the times you will loose,it will not be your fault, but the control's fault.
And the boss levels...imagine the worst control you can have for a sniper rifle...now double it!

Four stars means ''VERY GOOD'' and this is how I rate this game. I suggest you rent this game first before you decide if you will buy it. ... Read more

Amazon.com Product Description

LEGO Bionicle is the story of the Bionicle and the island of Mata Nui before the Toa. Before time was ever recorded, the Tohunga, who inhabited Mata Nui, weren't able to live on the island in peace. But a brave Tohunga, they were told, would come one day and restore peace. The Tohungas prophesied that this mighty Tohunga would bring the Toas back by recovering the six Toa stones.

LEGO Bionicle is an action-adventure game in which players become that brave Tohunga. You will complete several quests in six areas so you can discover the stones that will summon the Toa. Along the way, there are more than 20 levels of traps, puzzles, and adversaries to face. The six multiplayer Tohunga athletic games also let you play with friends.

Players customize their Tohunga characters much like they do the toy line. You can choose masks as well as biomechanical limbs and torsos. The game even syncs with your Bionicle toys. Enter codes from the packaging and you'll gain access to secret game-enhancing features.

Visually, LEGO Bionicle offers a top-down perspective, and its vertical and horizontal parallax scrolling makes the gameplay more interactive. Best of all, the game takes full advantage of the Game Boy Advance platform, letting you link up to four GBA units so you can play with friends. ... Read more

2-0 out of 5 stars Zzzzzzzzz...
This is a bore. Why would anyone waste 40-50 on a GBA game like this one?! The object of this game is to retrieve all of the 6 Toa Stones and participate in pathetic mini games.I don't like this game. The last part of the game is impossible.Spend your 40-50 dollars on one of these games below:
Super Mario Advance
Advance Wars
Golden Sun
Advance Wars 2: Black Hole Rising
Golden Sun: The Lost Age
The Legend of Zelda: A Link to the Past

3-0 out of 5 stars Not the best...
First off, the graphics are nice. Some of the parts in this game are challenging, which caused me to kick my dog and yell loudly. You have to be a villiager. No toa.:( It's not so bad, but some lack of effort to make a game is visable. I suggest getting it at a low price, so you don't feel cheated like I did.

5-0 out of 5 stars Havn't played the game but I know what it's about.
I finally got this game.I bought it on ebay. This the prequal to the Bionicle Online Game 1.A lot of people really don't know what Bionicle is really about. Bionicle is a world of robot people. There are six different villages. Each village has there own Turga (Leader) and Toa (Hero). The character you play as is really Takua but you can name your charcter anything you want. You can also make your character's arms, legs, and head any color you want. You can make your character's body parts be geeen, purple, blue, red, yellow, brown, or black. You can unlock all kinds of mini games too.You can unlock Koli foot ball mini game and five other games. This is a really cool game and I'd recommend it to anyone who likes Bionicle.

3-0 out of 5 stars an ok game
its an ok game. i dont really know what to do. i made it to the underground place.it stinks you have to be the earth villager. save your money and buy a GC AND sUPER MARIO SUNSHINE. see my review on THe other bionicle matoroan adv.

4-0 out of 5 stars The third toa stone
Okay, ill start off by saying to get te third toa stone you just use the drill to go undergroung when your at the big scourpion and then pop up from undernath him. Its hard to do but he only takes 2 hits. ANYWAY this game is okay. Graphics are good, and all but that backwards summersoult he does when he lands on a bush or something-awful. that little thing single-handedly lost the game a whole star. if you love bionicle and just want to feed your passion for it, then get this otherwise, dont pay retail. ... 1-0 out of 5 stars This game SUCKS!

Dont waste money for the worst game I've ever played.

5-0 out of 5 stars The Fairly OddParents: Enter the Fun
This game is very good. It is very easy especially when you find the passwords on the internet or something. I got this game with Mario Kart: Super Circuit and Super Mario Advance 3. All three were fun but this was the second best(best was Mario Kart Super Circuit). Timmy wishes himself in a comic book. As Cleft(or Timmy) roam around a comic book world fighting off bad guys and trying to free the Crimson Chin from the evil kneecap of the Bronze Kneecap. You can find Cosmo and Wanda and you can buy cool stuff with wands that are all over the place. All in all, buy this game if you are a Fairly Odd Parents fan or not. GOOD!

5-0 out of 5 stars One of the best Gameboy games ever!
This Game is Great I couldn't beat level 1 Then I entered Passwords and they were right then all the levels were easy! Buy it with your money!

4-0 out of 5 stars Very enjoyable!
After starting out with JLA Chronicles, I was a little leery of trying something new. This one is much better. The graphics are much better and the character movement is flawless. The only downside I'd give this game is the fact that Flash's speed can only be used a little before having to recharge (what else is this character good for besides running super fast? Why penalize us for using his gift?). The character selection is the same as Chronicles, but this is more of a side-scroller than the "a little from the top" screen of Chronicles. It's really cool to get to fly as Superman through Metropolis--even though that is only a small part of the gameplay. All in all, the replay value of this is good, and any fan of the JLA cartoon series will love it.

My suggestion to these game programmers...take a look at the X-Men games and give us more characters to choose from next time. Don't limit yourself to the cartoon only. The JLA has had dozens of members over time (some cool, some lame), and you could really make some great additions to the lineup next time. How about Green Arrow, The Atom, or even Plastic Man for that matter? Impress us.

Recommended.

3-0 out of 5 stars A bit more than average super hero game
Recently video games based on a comic or movie license have been in both ends of the spectrum; very good or godawful.Midway's Justice League: Injustice For All is based from the cartoon (not the comic which also features Aquaman, Green Arrow, and Captain Marvel) and is pretty average on just about every level. You get to play as Superman, Batman, The Flash, Wonder Woman, Hawkgirl, Martian Manhunter, and Green Lantern and fight your way through 12 stages.Characters can be switched during levels which consist of fighting regular not much thought put into cookie cutter thugs until finally facing a boss which you must find keys to unlock the area he is in.All of the characters are rendered nicely and each of they're respective powers are here and nicely done as well (Martian Manhunter's moving through walls has been brought to the small screen with grace) but just about everything else is just average. If you take away the Justice League license you'll be left with just a run of the mill action platformer, but hey, this game could have been a lot worse. All in all, Justice League: Injustice For All may not be the best game for the GBA, but fans of the comic or cartoon should give it a look. ... 4-0 out of 5 stars A surprisingly responsive, accessible fighting game.
I was never a big fan of the Mortal Kombat series.Though I loved the characters and concept, the controls usually left much to be desired. But I found this game to be immediately appealing, and supplied the learning curve necessary for me to re-enter the Mortal Kombat franchise.

Many Gameboy Advance games I've played just don't allow you to slowly build up skill. The Revenge of Shinobi, for example, had me seething thanks to the lack of checkpoints, overlong levels and overly powerful enemies. And there was no Difficulty setting available for new players to gently ease into expertise. This game does, happily, and being a newbie to the game I needed this feature in order to slowly learn the moves and master the mechanics.

I wasn't optimistic about the prospect of fighting games on the four-buttom Gameboy Advance, but the Mortal Kombat series proves to be highly suitable for the platform. And the response is quite good; I was actually able to execute a lot more moves here than on my old SNES Mortal Kombat game. There is also a load of extras to unlock using "Koins" that you earn by playing various modes of the game.

If I have one gripe, it's that there aren't too many characters to choose from.Twelve is on the low side for a fighting game in 2003.A minor complaint, however, for what is generally a very good, playable package.

4-0 out of 5 stars Such a nice change from MK-A
I loved Mortal Kombat on Arcade and Super Nintendo, I hated Mortal Kombat Advance, and I love Mortal Kombat Deadly Alliance on GBA.

This opus renewed my faith in the series. The difficulty is well adjusted, the graphics and sound are just as good as I would expect them to be on GBA, and the gameplay is great. This is such a welcome change after MK-A (which was so difficult that it was downright frustrating).

Don't let your past experience with MK-A deter you from buying this great game. Think of MK-D.A. as a redemption game from Midway.

4-0 out of 5 stars It's a hell of a lot better than MK Advance
Over the yrs, handheld ports of MK games have ranged from absolutely abysmal to merely embarrassing(AHEM...MK Advance), so DA deserves special mention for even displaying a level of competence. The sound is great with good vioce samples and surprisingly potent smacking sounds, and the tight conrols retain an impressive amount of 12 characters maoves, stances, and fatalities. And just like it's console bretheren, there's tons of stuff to unlock, even if it's mostly character palete swaps. The most unfortunate thing about GBA DA is the decision to ape the console version's 3D gameplay when it really wasn't neccessary, the arenas are blocky Mode-7 messes that do impossible Escher things whenever the floor meets the background, and the characters have been pixelated to make the "scale". 10 for ambition, at any rate, great game Capcom, keep up the good work.

5-0 out of 5 stars one of the best games ive ever played!
This game was perfect. the graphics were good the backrounds are good you can set it on easy mode. the only thing that i didnt like about it was on hard it was really easy. ibeat the whole game in two days. parents buy this game for your kids!

4-0 out of 5 stars A better than expected entry into the MK series
The Mortal Kombat series hasn't always had the best track record on the GameBoy system (Mortal Kombat Advance anyone?), but Midway is nearly forgiven with this near excellent GBA port of the latest chapter in the Mortal Kombat saga.Old favorite characters like Scorpion, Sub-Zero, Jax, and Shang Tsung return to deliver simple one on one fighting mayhem enhanced by the eye popping 3-D graphics and buckets of blood and gore flying around. The control is simply simple, along with the addition of changing your character's fighting style while fighting is a nice little extra. As you play though single player mode, you'll collect coins to unlock secret costumes and arenas, plus you can also choose from a survival mode and the two player link option.Another weird option however is the night vision and psychedelic mode which are so completely absurd that you can't help but try them out.As I said before the graphics are eye popping and the fighters are superbly animated and move around fluidly, the only complaint about the graphics are the sometimes bland and blocky backgrounds, bu that is instantly forgiveable.Fighting game fans looking for strategy and depth won't find too much here as opposed to other GBA fighters like Street Fighter Alpha 3 and Tekken Advance, but for what it's worth, Mortal Kombat Deadly Alliance is a hell of a fun fighter that GBA owners or fans of the long running series will surely enjoy. ... 4-0 out of 5 stars Better than most
Okay, let me clear up some things that Morgan or whatever person said. First, the graphics in this game are better than most as i compare them to my own and others i have seen. The Superpipe graphics are even better except it is a lil slow, and the Superpipe still isnt even the best part af the game as u cant do as much stuff as in other parts(ex. Freestyle, Palmer X). The control in the game is good for what you need it for, although at first it is hard but then u master it, but it adds challenge in the game. You also cant compare this game to PS2 as it is a 5x10 inch handheld game console, and so cant get nearly as good. SPPS is very hard(in career mode) but if it wasnt the game would be quite boring. The only thing i dont like much is that it is prty small and isnt many levels and only 4 players with dif tricks, but overall i say it is a great game

4-0 out of 5 stars Good GAme
This is a good game for features such as graphics
players and tricks. The bad part is its really hard
im still on the first level. But there is awsome easy to do
tricks. This game is a lot better than tony hawk 2. I reccomend this game to people who like snowboarding. ... Read more
