5-0 out of 5 stars Works Great for Me
I don't know what happened to the reviewer who said his graphics were fuzzy using this switch. Maybe he got a defective one. All I know is when I used mine to hook my old SDC to an old spare TV, it worked great! I couldn't tell any difference in video or sound from using the original cables.

1-0 out of 5 stars Ridiculous
The adapter istoublesome in the very least. First time I hooked it upthe graphics of Jet Grind Radio were fuzzy, and scratched, so I thought maybe it's just the game. Nope! Every DC game I have used through the adapter play through scratchey noises and off-set colors. Bad!

5-0 out of 5 stars What can i say?
Without out this, i would be trying to connect my DC to my TV through a couple phono cables (which is possible, but not with the equipment i have).

5-0 out of 5 stars What can i say?
Without this, i would be trying to use phono jacks to connect my DC to my TV, which is possible... just not easy when you don't have the right equipment.

5-0 out of 5 stars Maximize Your Graphics
This product was excellent. If you want the best graphics possible, get this. It is also very cheap and effictive. I'm very satisfied with it.I've had it for about a year and I havent found anything wrong with it. It has all the features like a normal RF switch but better than most companies because the graphics are so sharp. If you like to get your graphics the best as possible get this and you will definately be satisfied with the product. ... Read more

Amazon.com Review

Developed by Sega's renowned AM2 team, Outtrigger is an actiongame that can be played in either the first or third person; however, it clearlyplays like a first-person shooter. The sparse story has you serving as a memberof an antiterrorist group. The game's high-quality graphics run at a peppy 60frames per second. Owners of numerous Dreamcast peripherals will be pleased tolearn that this game supports almost all of them. This is one of the few titlesto utilize Sega's broadband adapter. It looks fantastic through the VGA box, andcontrols best using the keyboard and mouse peripherals. Up to four players cancompete offline and up to six online.

Single-player mode is another story--itgets dull quickly, especially compared to more established titles like UnrealTournament and Quake 3: Arena (both available for Dreamcast), whichhave more variety. Controlling the action using a gamepad is very difficult--thekeyboard and mouse setup is highly recommended. Users with small televisions mayfind four-player mode difficult to follow. Although the game's single-playermode is subpar, Outtrigger is a good choice for Dreamcastowners (especially those with broadband adapters) looking for multiplayerexcitement. --Raymond M. Padilla

Pros:

  • Excellent peripheral support
  • Strong multiplayer mode
  • Quality graphics

Cons:

  • Single-player mode is lacking
  • Tough to play on a control pad
  • Weak story

4-0 out of 5 stars Good Alternative to Quake 3
This game is pretty good. The contols are good if you put it on D1, and the weapons are good too, exept that there are a million rocket-launcher all of which are the same. The game runs very well on the Dreamcast, Nice and fast. There are no blood or guts in it so younger kids can play without their parents objecting. But the one major drawback is that the Arenas are tiny. Some of the arenas are fun but their all just to small! The missions are dumb but who care? All the fun in a game is blowing up your brothers!Overall this is a solid game that is downright fun to play.

3-0 out of 5 stars Disappointed by the controls and small areans...
First let me say that OutTrigger is a fun game if you like multi-player battles. Its a multi-player game ONLY. I say that because the single player missions are NON-existant. You are given a number of annoying tasks to accomplish and they mostly suck. The single player modes are basically training for Online or multi-player battles.

What saves this game is 1) the cool graphics 2) the multi-player. Although the multi-player games are FUN it is sort of hampered by the small size of the areas. Don't look for a Rainbow Six: Rogue Spear maps or a Quake maps...these are small. If those two games have maps the size of a city block then this game has the maps of the size of two houses (if so big). The option to play a multi-player battle with 3cpu opponents is a nice option but can't compare to the real thing with your friends.

The arcade feel of the game makes it easy to pick up and play but even that is hindered by the bad control presets. The best option is D1 but even that is sort of awkard. People recommend the mouse and keyboard but since I don't have a mouse I can't comment on that type of control.

Overall the game is worthy of any Dreamcast collection because of the fun multi-player mode ONLY.

5-0 out of 5 stars It's GREAT --- if you don't have the wrong expectations
Outtrigger is not like Unreal Tournament or Quake 3, so don't expect it to. Its arenas are much smaller. Action is faster, more arcade-like. Graphics and sounds are great. It is very fun, especially with the online mode. Just don't expect it to be "like the others".

2-0 out of 5 stars I was expecting something a lot better.
Well, let me just tell you what I think. The game is garbage.

When I first put the game in the console, I got so excited that I was going to play a fps for dreamcast. When the game started, I chose to go with the training missions first. But later, I began to get a little upset because they were incredibly easy. 15 minutes later, I chose to go with the regular combat missions. But what really blew my top was that the combat missions were just like the training missions. The first mission objective was to collect three coins.....the coins were in a straight line right in front of you. I didnt fire one bullet.
The day after I bought it with my hard earned dollars, I wanted to return it, but I could't because I broke the seal. DAMN!!!

Over all, I give Outtrigger a two star rating because of the multiplayer option, however, you only can carry three weapons and you die incredibly fast, bairly giving you any action or reaction time. Its almost like a one hit kill game. (Don't try to run from a guy with a flamethrower.)
Also, the arenas are so small, you can't hide or even think about what to plan against an opponent.

Don't make the same mistake I did and buy the game just by looking at screenshots.

1-0 out of 5 stars This game [stinks].
Do not buy. It is a waste of money. It is so boring and repetitive. I played it once for ten minutes and never played again, it was so bad. A complete waste of a good CD. It is not at all like Golden Eye if you are wondering. I hope this saves you [amt]. ... Read more

Editorial Review

Red Orb's Dreamcast debut is a quirky mix of simplistic hand-to-handcombat, maze crawling, and power-up eating. And you'll need the strength of a stomachfull of soul food to mow down the plethora of townsfolk turned beasties in SoulFighter. Whack a bad guy, and his soul is put into your magic bottle for safekeepinguntil you've freed enough souls to pop open the door to the next level.

While on the surface, the game may seem to borrow heavily from the fantasy-actionromp Gauntlet Legends, it actually has a lot more in common with old SegaGenesis games such as Streets of Rage. Only instead of a side-scrolling brawler, this game presents the world in stunning 3-D, with a rather fussy camera-angle systemthat can be detrimental to both gameplay and your full stomach. Still, since the controlsare so simplified--with only three main buttons for kick, punch, and jump--it's hard tofault the game for using awkward camera movement to make things more challenging. Arather odd epicurean collection of power-ups uses pig's heads, roasted chickens, andwood-planked fish to boost your strength. Projectile weapons such as crossbows andthrowing axes can be uncovered by brashly shattering treasure chests that are strewnabout, or by giving some beastly bag of bones a few soul-freeing punts.

Three characters to choose from make the game slightly more deep, but the lack oftwo- or three-player simultaneous beast-busting is a serious drawback. The level designsare very simple and uninspired, with an odd amount of backtracking required to finisheach one. Soul Fighter is by no means original, but it does deliver a limbic systemthrill, like a plotless, yet alluringly action-heavy, Jean-Claude Van Damme film. --JeffYoung

Pros:

  • Two buttons can unleash a varied and impressive amount of fighting
  • Great frame rates and animation
  • Easy to pick up, arcade-style gameplay
Cons:
  • Motion sickness-inducing camera movement
  • Replayability reduced by lack of multiplayer mode
  • Tediously drawn-out intro movie

1-0 out of 5 stars Get Dynamite Cop instead
This game has absolutly no fun factor. You'll play it once and then throw it away. The graphics are an example of sega rushing to make a game during the early days of Dreamcast.
There are only 3 characters and their moves a very weak. The magican isn't even able to cast any spells. He can not turn enemies into cats, frogs, etc.

Spend your money on Dynamite Cop instead.

4-0 out of 5 stars kids like this game
I played this game and when I played it I liked it becuase it is like golden axe. Both of those games are fun to play. Eventhough it is rated for teens I thought it was not too scary, maybe just a little in the dark places. I think other kids will like it.

2-0 out of 5 stars Could've been better....
I got this game, along with a couple of other games on my birthday from relatives (beware when a relative does such a risky move as this. They usually buy the cheapest game for you, knowing ONLY that you like to play video games). So I popped Soul Fighter in my Dreamcast. Let's start with the pros:
The graphics aren't that bad. the CG scenes could have been a LOT better, and the "king" doing the narraration in the beginning could've used some voice acting lessons. He sounded like a fake Sean Connery. Haha...it is to laugh. Ooops, did I say pros? Well, you can choose from three characters...that's about it. Well, on to the cons:
The first thing that really urked me was the control. I wasn't to thrilled about how slippery the character movements are. If you move with the analog, your character automatically starts running, and if you want to make a short stop, you have to stop really early, so as not to slide. The second thing that literally began to make me nautious, was the awkward camera angles. It's a little difficult to get your bearings and to find out where enemies are with the camera spinning and turning pretty much when it pleases. Of course, there is very little storyline, because it IS a beat 'em up. then there's the issue of lack of fighting moves. You end up wearing out your thumbs and your controller buttons with the lack of good combo moves and fighting strategies (e.g. Streets of Rage 1,2 & 3). The last thing that was a big downer was the fact that with a little tweaking on the above mentioned things and by adding a 2 player option, this game would have been something special. In conclusion, it's not that it's COMPLETELY horrible, but, if a little more time had been put into gameplay, then Soul Fighter wouldn't seem so much as a rushed job. Rent it, or purchase it if you want to have a library of DC games. Other than that, it's not one to write home about.

2-0 out of 5 stars Nice graphics but terrible controls
What looks to be an entertaining fighting game is hindered by awkward and edgy controls. You have a choice of selecting 1 of 3 characters each with their own unique fighting styles.Although each fighter is quite fluid intheir movements, controlling them so that they hit their target is notquite as intuitive.Button mashing will only create frustration since mostmoves are made of a sequences - the character will initiate each moveaccordingly and until he/she is finished you may end up facing a wall withyour targets behind you.You can change the view from 1st person to moreof an overhead - 1st person is nice if you need to target a long distanceenemy or figure out distance for longer weapons (swords).Button mashingwill not work as intuitively as most fighting games.Although it isn'tunusual to face one enemy at a time, it also isn't out of the ordinary tobe bombarded by two or three enemies attacking in what seems like at thesame time.Learning to control movement so that you are facing the targetwill prove to be the largest obstacle.Once you figure that out you canget your character to do a number of very useful and interesting moves. Two different modes will determine whether you have more than one life tolose or see how long you can last with one life option (Adventure mode). The game can be highly frustrating and tends to be more eye candy thanentertaining. ... Read more

Editorial Review

The survival horror game Carrier succeeds in beingcreepy, but this uneven game is still not exactly terrifying. As one ofthe few Dreamcast games in this genre, this ambitious game offers solidenough gameplay to justify a purchase--assuming that you've alreadypicked up the superior Resident Evil: Code Veronica.

Carrier takes place in the war-ravaged future, when an explosionrocks the warplane carrier Heimdal. Not long afterward, strange(and generally unpleasant and violent things) start happening aboardthe ship. As special-forces trooper John Ingles (and later, JessiferManning), you've been called in to investigate what went wrong. While exploring the Heimdal, you'll find that plants have grownlike mad throughout the ship. In addition, you'll discover theunfortunate fact that much of the crew has been turned into weirdplant/human mutants--many of which are hungry for a diet of humans.Aboard the Heimdal, you'll also have to locate the few remainingpeople that need rescuing. There's also the matter of locating John'smissing kid brother, Robert.

Carrier sticks very close to the tried and true formula ofhaving you hunt for clues, key cards, and guns as you search throughthe depressing yet very nicely rendered ship. This game isalso dark--perhaps even too dark, as you'll soon be reaching for your TV's thebrightness controls.

The game controls are very responsive and are so easy to learn--you'llbe picking off mutants with ease almost instantly. Also, whiledefinitely not essential, an optional Jump Pack add-on might bring ascare or two to already jittery gamers.

We were disappointed to find that Carrier suffers from oneserious (and seriously annoying) drawback. The voice acting on thisgame is just plain bad--and at times it detracts from the moodiness ofthe game. The poor acting almost makes Carrier more campy thanscary.

Still, this sore spot doesn't kill off the fact that Carrier isa very fun if somewhat unspectacular romp into survival horror. It mayeven be a good introduction to the genre for mature crowds. While thegame is very linear and the puzzles not especially complicated ororiginal, Carrier does have a pretty decent sense of pacing thatshould keep you playing until the bitter end. --Mark Brooks

Pros:

  • Solid story worth playing until the end
  • Fairly intuitive controls
  • Good sense of pacing and atmosphere

Cons:

  • Truly bad voice acting that induces chuckles at wrong times
  • Game is a tad too dark throughout the ship
  • Not much here that is especially new or spectacular compared tosimilar titles

3-0 out of 5 stars Not bad
Carrier is a pretty good Resident Evil clone for the Dreamcast. It takes place on a giant ship where humans are turning into hideous mutants - now thats original! But actually, it has a couple of neat innovations of its own such as the scope that lets you see who is infected, and the opportunity to replay the game as a second character. Its also quite tough to finish, but worth the effort. Mind you, the climax is such a rip off of the tyrant battle from RE1 that I'm surprised a lawsuit didn't follow! Should be going fairly cheap now, so pick one up.

4-0 out of 5 stars Cousin of Resident Evil
This game is so much like Resident Evil, it's not even funny.
However, it's not exactly the same storyline. Carrier has a different unique storyline. It's just the gameplay, the angles and bad acting. Of course you got to have bad acting in one of these games. I give it four because Dreamcast didn't go over the edge using the same storyline as Resident Evil. Other than that it's a good game. Not a great game, but still good. I suggest you rent it instead.

this game is a great game, if you've read any of my other reviews then you know that i dont give games good reviews because i dont want to be mean, i speak the truth...this game is a definite take off of resident evil. the button control is the same, if capcom found out about this, jaleco would be in big trouble. i am giving this a good rating because it is like resident evil, resident evil is awesome. so this game is awesome. you should buy the game, but find a walkthrough for it, too because otherwise it would be too hard. 2-0 out of 5 stars "WWF Attitude" with ECW wrestlers...
But for some reason,it plays a bit better than the former.

4-0 out of 5 stars What's with the bad reviews guys? Not bad at all.
This game has gotten so much flak from so many people its amazing.I love wrestling and wrestling games and honestly, this game is everything i wanted. The only downpoints are the graphics, they look really good but sometimes clip, this didnt bother me but if you nit pick it might bother you. There are also so many options and things you can do.You can create your own wrestler and this game has the best create aan athlete of any game, ever. You can customize everything from eyes down to shoe color, from tattoos to hair styles, its just awesome. Then there are all the options and match styles. In what other game can you have a co operative tag team match with weapons?None that ive played. Also theres cage matches, harsh barbed wire matches, etc, etc.A lot of people say the controlls are bad and old, but i personally think they work fine for the game once you get them down, and the moves are just downright brutal looking. If you like wrestling games, check this out,i love it.

2-0 out of 5 stars DON'T BUY THIS GAME
I bought "ECW Hardcore Revolution" back in December hoping that it would live up to all of its hype.I thought that it would be as cool as the actual ECW wrestling.Geez, was I wrong! This game is basically like "WWF Attitude" (Which was also horrible) but with ECW wrestlers. The moves are the same, the entrances are the same, and the weopons are th same. This is so boring!

1-0 out of 5 stars Do NOT Purchase!
I rented this game thinking that it would be fun to have a little 4 way fight with my friends...It wasn't even worth the rental. This game hassome of the worst graphics for the dreamcast, and a really bad controlengine. This game is also considerably slow. You have to suffer watchingall these characters walking around an arena, with bad music, and horriblegraphics.Every now and then, you pull off a move that looks cool, (andI'm very good at pulling moves off in video games) but it just doesn't seemworthy of a DC title. On a positive note, you can create your owncharacter's, with tons of options. But it looks strange when a 1000 poundbehemoth is thrown around by a scrawny, afro-wearing, lightweight.

DON"T BUY THIS GAME!

1-0 out of 5 stars DON'T WASTE YOUR $$$
After purchasing NFL 2K, NBA 2K and Ready 2 Rumble, and being completely blown away by the impressive graphics, sound and interactivity that the Sega Dreamcast has to offer...

I thought, "Boy, wouldn't it be fun to have four buddies over for some hardcore wrestling action - 2-on-2style... we could beat the crap outta' each other without the usual wakingup with open wounds and stitches the next morning."

Well, I might aswell have stuffed a money in the middle of a slab of ground sirloin andtossed it into my nextdoor rottweiller's playpen. This game is unarguablythe biggest waste of your hard-earned dollar in the Dreamcast market. Threewords - DON'T BUY IT.

The animation looks like the designers had 24 hoursto complete all the sequences, and they did so just after gulping down a12-pack of beer a piece. The sound effects are out of sync, the voiceoversare, well, STUPID - there's no other way to describe them. The moves are - well, I can'tfigure them out and, personally, the game is SO bad, I don't care to takethe time.

I am not a big wrestling fan, but if I were, I'd consider this"waste-of-time game" to be a mockery of the sport. Acclaim hasreally let me down here - I will definitely do some research beforepurchasing another one of their games. ... Read more

Editorial Review

When it comes to digital hoop action, there's no doubt thatNBA 2K sports the most luscious visuals ever seen in abasketball game. It's not the best-playing basketball game out there,as it does commit some serious fouls with its questionable artificialintelligence. But like NFL 2K before it, this is yet anothersports game that Dreamcast owners will want to show off to friends.

The clean graphics show some extremely well-detailed players, stadiums, fans, and even coaches. While the player animationsaren't quite smooth as glass (there are quite a few speed-ups andslowdowns), the players do move in a fairly realistic manner. When yousee the instant replay of your favorite power forward delivering amassive dunk, you'll cheer. To complement the visuals, Sega has addedplay-by-play and color commentary to document the on-screen action. While this does get a little repetitive, this feature ultimately addsto the atmosphere of realism.

NBA 2K shows some trouble with controls. This is most apparentin handling loose balls. You'll cringe as you occasionally watch longpasses sail out of the court, resulting in mindless turnovers. This isespecially painful to watch when the Dreamcast can't complete passesto computer-controlled players. These stupid turnovers can, will, anddo affect a game's final score--and have even caused a few games to berestarted in disgust. On the positive side, NBA 2K contains anew finesse-based method of hitting foul shots that requires that yousqueeze the control triggers in near perfect synch.

The create-a-player and coaching options make it relatively easy tolead your team from postseason TV watchers to championship ringowners.

While the 2000 season's prettiest basketball game offers more thanjust the most delicious eye candy, there is still a lingering feelingthat NBA 2K could've been much better with alittle more fine-tuning. At the very least, while NBA 2K is recommended, it isanticipated that the successor NBA 2K1 will offer even morebackboard-breaking fun. --Mark Brooks

Pros:

  • Spectacular graphics that show plenty of detail
  • Play-by-play and color commentary add to the fun
  • Easy to play, but different from most console roundball games
  • Foul shots are a highlight
Cons:
  • Graphics suffer from occasional slowdown for no apparent reason
  • Controls could be stronger

4-0 out of 5 stars Decent basketball game
i usually get nba live but when i bought 2k it changed the way i think about basketball games .the graphics are good and the gameplay is good .this was the game i chose when i first purchased mt dreamcast i got it after it was already sold out and now here i am writing a review

5-0 out of 5 stars The Best Basketball Game Ever
My tittle says it all. Hands down, no comp., aint nothin' else coming close to the classis, the very first NBA 2K. The BEST sports graphics I've ever seen. This is a true story, no lie. Alright, I was playing NBA 2K on Dreamcast and my father walked past the room and saw only the TV screen and said to me, "There're still playing NBA games? I thought the season was over". It's crazy how technology drastically change, and that game was out over 4 years ago and nothing since has been even able to come close (except ofcourse the other NBA 2K's).NBA Live is just getting up to par with Live 2004. NBA 2K has surpass all other basketball video games and reached a whole new plateau. Not only the graphics are the best but the game play was too real. The moves were so detail. I can't say enough about the game. My Dreamcast is inop. because I think I played it to much but I would buy a whole new system just to play this game. It's a shame the whole Dreamcast system went out of business. I think people were runnin' with playstation just off name alone. If you ask me, If they would have made all games for playstation and Dreamcast, Playstation would have been the one out of business. Anyway, Three words to describe NBA 2K. OFF THE CHAIN!

5-0 out of 5 stars dreamcast has the best sports games
I think the now defunct Sega Dream Cast has some of the best sports games out there (NFL 2K, Virtua Tennis, etc), and NBA 2K is no exception. The graphics and game play are great. I think this is the best basketball game I've come across.

5-0 out of 5 stars NBA 2K Rocks
Nba 2k is the best 2000 basketball game available. it is very realalistic and the create player option is awsome. The graphics and controlls and great. Some bad things are the computer aminated teams [STINK] even on pro and all-star. Another bad thing is the bad passes. If you want a great 2000 basketball game this is the one to get!

5-0 out of 5 stars AWESOME NBA GAME OF 99!
this is an awesome game of the 99! well its ABOUT TIME a system made a game for ALLEN IVERSON! who is FAR MORE better than KOBE BRYANT and with the stats to prove it! its just that Allen Iverson doesnt have a perfect team like kobe, as EVERYONE of kobe's team mates are better than the average nba player.

Anyways, this game has alley oops, great graphics [graphics are especially good in NBA games cuz it just looks weird when the graphics are bad in nba games, and also if you watch the sport on tv, you can tell who's who and find the better person faster without using direct pass!:) ] The rosters are accuarate, no FAKE rosters such as "roster 14" like the NBA LIVES series. all players are ACTUAL PLAYERS!

here are a FEW things you can do in NBA 2K

alley oops
direct pass
cross over
create own player
create own team

and also when u create a player you cant have him PERFECT, which i think is actually a GOOD thing so the game wont be too easy. and when you make your own team, the names are set for you allowing the announcer to say the name, which makes it less confusing [i was confused when me and my friend played NBA LIVE 98 on computer and both made custom teams]

hopefully a system will make a WNBA game soon though, cuz TINA THOMPSON is hott! :) ... Read more

Amazon.com Review

Dreamcast fans have been waiting to come off the top rope for quite sometime, and now they have their chance with WWF Royal Rumble for theDreamcast. Last year's WWF Attitude title for the Dreamcast was mediocreat best, as the characters moved like robots and the control was verycumbersome. WWF Royal Rumble changes all that, with excellent animationand solid controls. This is a perfect translation of a concurrent arcade standup(so save those quarters for more important things--like laundry!).

Nine characters can fight it out in the ring at any one time, making this game ashowcase for the power of the Dreamcast. The action turns into quite the meleeas over 20 of your favorite WWF superstars (the Rock, the Road Dogg, Kane, D'LoBrown, the Big Show, for instance) take to the squared circle in a battle ofepic proportions.

Like its arcade cousin, the Dreamcast version features controls that are easy tolearn and a breeze to execute. One button is used for attacking, another forgrappling, and a third for pinning, running, and climbing the top rope. Use thedirectional pad when tapping the buttons to determine which special move youwill perform on your opponent. A double button press during a match causes yourpartner to toss in a concealed weapon, do a run-in attack, or maybe even performa double tag-team move on your opponent.

Each time a wrestler takes damage or delivers a special move, his or her specialmeter increases. Once the meter is filled, an S appears next to themeter. The letters allow signature moves to be executed, or they can be used toescape or hold a pin. The more Ss you have, the more power you have in amatch (you can save up to five of these important letters).

The single-player mode gets old quickly, but add two or three of your friendsand this game becomes amazing. For some, WWF Royal Rumble will be abutton-mashing masterpiece. --Todd Mowatt

Pros:

  • Up to nine wrestling characters at a time
  • Perfect port of the arcade version
  • Special meter allows you to save up for special moves
Cons:
  • Limited fun for the single player

2-0 out of 5 stars DO NOT BUY!RENT!
This is not a very Good Wrestling Game...NO mercy for the N64 was the best..get that..

This game is very dull...the controls are alright but a bit clunky..I though it was fun for about 1 hour..Very bad Dream Cast game...AND THERE ONLY WRESTLING GAME...But that doesn't really matter since Dream Cast has some of the Best Games ever made..

This game just plain sucked...Don't buy it...

Later...

1-0 out of 5 stars Wrestling on Dreamcast at its WORST!!But there's hope...
For those of you who actually like Royal Rumble for the Dreamcast I must say that you are deprived! If you want the best wrestling game on the Dreamcast go track down "Fire Pro D Wrestling", an import game.

This game has over 200 wrestlers and the most indepth create a player mode found in ANY wrestling game. Heck you can even edit the origional given wrestler costumes, wanna see Bret Hart in a blue jeans, then just edit one of his costumes. Wanna see the Rock in a shiny gold shirt and long black dress pants, then just edit one of his costume choices. You can edit costumes for everyone if you like, from Andre the Giant to Hulk Hogan to Dallas Page to Goldberg to Vader to Shawn Michaels to Chyna to Ric Flair to Y2J to Hawk and Animal and any of the japaneese wrestlers.

EVERYTHING you want in a wrestling game is HERE!! It also supports 4 players and NEVER suffers from any slowdown.

The cast of characters Fire Pro D range from stars from the WWF, WCW, UFC (yes Ultimate Fighter Championships) and numerous wrestling organisations in Japan. This game rocks! There are numerous game modes like Royal Rumble, Battle Royal, Survivor Series, 3 man tag, 4 man tag, 2 man tag, single match, cage match, barb wire match, submission matches and MORE. This has the MOST moves per character in ANY wrestling game. I dare any Smackdown fan to compare the two, they will loose BADLY!!!

Overall the game is what a wrestling game on the Dreamcast should be and not the disappointing mess called Royal Rumble!!

IMPORT THIS GAME, ITS A MUST HAVE!!!

3-0 out of 5 stars Good for a rental or two.......
This game's really not that bad. The Rumble and Single player modes are okay but there are no storylines. This game's similar to the Smackdown! series, but there are better graphics and more signature moves. There are also newcomers (at the time) like Kurt Angle, Tazz, and Rikishi. If you want something to do on a weekend, give this game a try. Or, if you can find this game for a reasonable price ...buy it. The thing that kills this game, though, is lack of depth. No Create-A-Wrestler feature or gimmick matches (although, there is a cage area). Besides that, this game's pretty good.

4-0 out of 5 stars Pretty Good
Lots of people to play with but bad single player its not the best game ive ever played but its kinda close.

1-0 out of 5 stars not a very good game
Alright heres the story....I was looking for a good wrestling game for my dreamcast and I found Royal Rumble, it looked pretty good so I ordered it, when I got it there is only Royal Rumble-not very fun, Exhibition- ok, and a versus mode which is probably the funnest mode in the whole game. When I started to play royal rumble every superstar ganged up on me and they only tried to get me out. On exhibition when I would try to hit them they would spin around me and from there on I had no control over them and I could not get 1 hit off on them. And it is almost impossible to get your partner to help you. Also when you go to pin them you end up running across the ring. If you're looking for a fun game to just mess around with then this might be a good game for you, but if you want a championship winning, hard hitting action type game you will probably want to go for WWE Wrestlemania x8 on GC, or Smackdown: Shut your mouth on PS2. ... 1-0 out of 5 stars Football players with butter fingers = mass fustration
DO NOT buy NFL Blitz 2001 even if its on sale for a cent!

The game is the most fustrating game i've ever played. In what other game would your recievers fumble the ball when they are tackled mere inches from the End Zone (sometimes on a first down, sometimes when the game is on the line)? This happened to me at least 3 times in one game! Needless to say it resulted in 3 costly turnovers and I lost the game. The hardest part was the fact that the game was on the EASY level. I expect this kind of CHEAP play on the hardest setting but not on easy. The constant fumbling by players throughout the game is a SERIOUS TURN OFF especially for fans who just want to enjoy a good game. The random and FREQUENT fumbles made this game a worthless piece of junk.

The game is also flooded with too many loading screens that get really old really fast when you just want to get into the action. Very poorly designed, Midway. If you still have a bad taste in your mouth from NBA Hoopz then AVOID this game. The graphics are on the same level and the announcer is the same.

Do not waste your hard earned money on this poor game! Read the other reviews that warn of the fumbling problem and do not make the mistake I did!

PLAY OR RENT BEFORE YOU BUY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

1-0 out of 5 stars Save your money
if you think this game is quality then think again. this game has nothing more than the original blitz!you fumble the dang ball any time any one touches you! you get intercepted if you even pass the ball! the mini games are twice as bad as the actual game and the graphics are as bad as super nintendo! Don't even get me started about the game play. it is so horrible. You have to walk in the direction the reciever you want to pass to! How bogus is that!

DO NOT GET IT! SPEND THE MONEY ON SOMETHING
THAT'S WORTH THE AMOUNT YOU PAY!
(Which means not this game because this is worth $$$tops)

1-0 out of 5 stars WHY?????????
Why did they make this game?I got it because I thought the concept of racing in old cars would be cool, and it would, but not it this game.It takes three years to load, and the controls are horrible. It's also really boring because you're always way up front ahead of everyone.I regret buying this even though i only spent 10 dollars for it.I wouldn't even take it for free now.

1-0 out of 5 stars oh my god
This game shouldn't have been made it shows no sign of greatness on the speedometer says 214mph it feels like 35 mph. Going to school is more fun than this game.It shows no sign of speed and when you hit the wall back in those days there was fire when you hit the wall in this game you bounce off and nothing happens. Only fun factor is it's too easy you can win every time.other than that this game is just awful.

4-0 out of 5 stars A really fun game......once you get the hang of it!
Let me tell you that first off this is not a fast paced game like 4 Wheel Thunder. This is a game that is meant to simulate 1930's racing cars. The graphics are very realistic. You can have 5 or 6 different views when you are driving. The old time music is really unique, away from all that rock & roll of other games. You are able to go on 8 tracks, 12 different cars, chose diffuculty, and chose practice, quick race, championship, or time trials.

<<<<>>>>

The steering is pretty bad once you start, but once you play it for about a week you get the feel for it. There is also no brake button! You just have to let up on the gas. I don't know why it is like that. It also take a century to load! It does only take up 2 blocks of space.

<<<<>>>>

If you are thinking of buying it, ! This game is probably not a game you want to even spend $20 on. In my opinion, this is a fun rental game, but a "not-worth-it" type of game to buy.

1-0 out of 5 stars STAY AWAY!STAY VERY FAR AWAY!!!!!!!!!!
This game is horrible!I bought it about a year ago when there were only a few 20 dollar Dreamcast titles out.I had a Mad Catz 2 racing wheel. The back of the game said it supported the steering wheel. I had read average reviews on it.What were they thinking? This game doesn't even deserve one star.I don't know how it got a 4 out 5 average. Why is this game horrible?First, the loading times last forever (you could take a nap).Second, my steering wheel wouldn't work. I guess it only works with the original Sega wheel that came out when Dreamcast came out.Third, the graphics looked like a first generation Playstation game. And that is being kind. The framerated was not much more than 15 frames/second.Fourth, the physics engine was ridiculous. The crashes were pretty goofy. Thankfully the store I purchased it from allowed me to exchange it or I would have used it for a coaster. This is probably the worst game ever made on the Dreamcast! There are so many great games that are priced at 20 bucks now.You can make a wiser choice in picking one and that wouldn't be too hard to do.It is a crime that this game was even released on the super system that the Dreamcast is.

1-0 out of 5 stars Amazingly Awful; Awesomely Atrocious
The people who have given this game good reviews must somehow be in the pockets of LJN/Acclaim or simply own not even ONE other post-1993 auto racing videogame.Look about the Web at wellregarded game review sites and you'll see reviews of 2.0/10, 1.9/10, 3.0/10 or even (believe it or not) a -2.1/10 (yes, a minus!).Fully informed as such, I still could not fight an immense curiosity to see if it is really that bad, and bought it new locally yesterday.IT IS THAT BAD!

The graphics engine is slow, undetailed, staggers along at all times (you'll see 2D sprites posing as trees move toward you with obvious pixel stepping), and is composed of horrid textures.Roads look like oatmeal paste. The cars have octagons for wheels.See the rearview mirrors with their static images!Yes, the mirrors hold 1 image that never changes. The one nice bit of graphics is the available cockpit view, with fairly detailed, working instrumentation.

I can also be kinder in regards to the handling. The cars do brake and accelerate with competence and decent response to controls. Some reviews have called the game's driving physics undrivable, and this is patently false.

But then there is the matter of meaningless modes with preset and too lengthy lap settings. Then there is the fact that despite a nice variety of cars, you CAN'T choose one with a less-than 150 mph top speed and win. Why?Because the computer always takes the 170-mph models! You just permanently fall behind.

Oh, and then there is the OVER 1-minute loading screens which put your DC through a workout before even getting to the second game menu. And then....

The game can be deemed worthwhile for 40 minutes.Try out each vintage racer (15 of them I believe) for a minute then load the next.Add 10 minutes to read the little car history bits in the manual, which is worth more than the game itself. ... Read more

Amazon.com Review

If you're into freestyle stunt games that are similar to the TonyHawk's Pro Skater series (a necessary comparison), you might find, with alittle patience, that Dave Mirra Freestyle BMX is a surprisingly goodone. It doesn't offer much more than the established fly-and-trick formula, butit's still a fun ride.

In general, this game calls for quicker thumbs and more precision than othergames in the genre, but it also provides a greater sense of accomplishment tothose who get up to speed. The animation of your rider's backflips, grinds, andother aerial maneuvers looks startlingly realistic; and, with 1,300 tricksavailable, chances are that you'll always find a new way to fall off your bike. Most levels are huge and designed so that you can pull off many stunts pertrack. In fact, you must complete some of the harder stunts to win sponsors fornew gear. For all of you kids who are into aggro music, Dave's game featurespopular four-chord acts Social Distortion, Rancid, and the Deftones, as well asrap group Cypress Hill.

On the downside, the game's visuals just don't look tremendously better than thePlayStation version. Although they're nicely rendered and decently animated, none of it screams, "128-bit pixel-pushing processing power!"

While it won't stun anyone with its originality, Dave Mirra Freestyle BMXoffers an interesting twist on the burgeoning freestyle-stunt genre. --MarkBrooks

Pros:

  • Many challenging stunts
  • Hip soundtrack
  • Bike-control scheme plays and feels differently from others in genre
Cons:
  • Substandard graphics
  • Nothing most gamers haven't seen before

5-0 out of 5 stars You Gotta Get It
Man...this is the only 5 minute break ive taken from the game in hours. Let Me explain about it

Gameplay: The controls are easy to learn but hard to master(Wich makes the game fun but challenging). The Graphics are awesome, honestly i havent seen better. The Levels are amazing, They let you do challenges from amatuer, pro, and hardcore wich give you hours of fun challenges. Honestly, this proves that an E game can still be fun. YOU HAVE TO GET THIS GAME.You dont know what your missing out on if you dont

2-0 out of 5 stars Not very good
The graphics are terrible! If you liked Tony Hawk, maybe you'll have fun with this, but keep in mind that this game did not get any noticeable improvement over the Playstation version... which was not that good anyway.

5-0 out of 5 stars Dave Mirra ROCKS!!!
Very addictive, challenging, frustrating at times, but keeps you coming back for more. I've beaten this game many times, but i still play it and love it to death. The graphics are great, and plenty bags of tricks to pull out, over 3,000+ combinations, plus you can make your own too. Tons of records to break (longest grind, biggest air, longest jump, longest manual, etc...) There are i think 12 diff parks, but 3-4 levels of challenges for each park, except the competition levels. Skate Park 8 is awesome park, along with Camp Woodward. This game is highly reccommended. If you are trying to decide between Dave Mirra and Mat Hoffman, go with Dave Mirra. Mat Hoffman sucks.

5-0 out of 5 stars Decent game
Dave Mirra is a fun game. With a bunch of tricks and characters it is a lot of fun for one or two players.I beat the game in four days. The competitions are tough to get used to but once you have the game figured out it is repetitve for each rider.

3-0 out of 5 stars Is he slow or is he just stupid?
Nothing beats the feeling of playing your favorite bikers -- Mirra, Nyquist, etc.The moves are amazingly true to form and the soundtrack gets the blood pumping. The controls are easy to understand and adapt.

But one thing that no one has mentioned is that this game has some major lag when there's lots of stuff happening on screen -- whether it be a speeding train, or a gaggle of ramps and intersections.I can only compare this game to that of Tony Hawk Pro-Skater, and no matter how fast and crazy my moves are in Tony Hawk, the game never slows down.Well, Dave Mirra does some weird annoying slow-mo effects.

Which kinda makes you wonder, is he slow or is he just stupid? ... Read more

4-0 out of 5 stars POD Speedzone: Interesting and Difficult to Master
First, an important note: This review DOES NOT cover the online gameplay capabilities for POD Speedzone, as I do not have online capabilities at this time.

POD Speedzone is an interesting game. There have been many futuristic racing games both in the arcades and on the various consoles.POD Speedzone certainly does not even attempt to distinguish itself from the rest of the futuristic racing games in existence, but it is still rather interesting and fun to play.

However, players should DEFINITELY bypass the opening movie. It is not interesting at all.In fact, the opening movie is absolutely unnecessary.Even worse, it is embarrassingly open-ended without having really presented any believable storyline to make such an open ending worthwhile in any way.

in POD Speedzone, it is important to become familiar with the controller configuration as quickly as possible.Fortunately, there are five configurations from which to choose, including steering with either the analog stick (which is really rather difficult unless someone is an analog-steering specialist) or the D-pad (the arrow buttons beneath the analog stick). Those coming to the DreamCast now (since there are so many used DreamCast consoles on the market in the States) from the PlayStation/PSOne or the PlayStation2 - both consoles primarily use the D-pad for steering in racing games - will find the analog stick difficult to use for steering, as it is inherently not nearly as precise as the D-pad, and oversteering or overcorrecting is FAR too easy to do with the analog stick.

For those who do not have the DreamCast console configured and wired for Internet access and online play, Arcade Mode is the only game mode available (other than Two Players Mode). The game presents a number of cars, each varying in both look and performance; two of the cars are not available, as they are apparently for online use only.Once a car has been selected, a race venue can be selected; again, one race venue is not also available unless online capability has been detected.

Each car comes equipped with shields and a fixed amount of Boost.Shields are destroyed due to collisions with ANYTHING, and once shields are gone, the next collision cripples the car and the race immediately ends.Shields and Boost can both be provisionally augmented by collecting the proper power-ups.Weapons are also available to try to blow the competition out of the way.

In many situations at most racing venues, the raceway is bounded by metal barriers.Touching these barriers or any other obstacle (including another vehicle) will result in the car's shields fading away due to the incurred damage. In ALL situations, the raceway is extremely narrow, so passing must be done with care; this is an obvious benefit to the race leader, as there is not much raceway to protect when driving defensively.

POD Speedzone is interesting, and difficult to master.Players can expect to spend a lot of time with this game.

5-0 out of 5 stars Internet Must!!!!
It's a good game if you have internet access. If you don't, don't bother

3-0 out of 5 stars could be better
this games is really really fun but has way too much bad things.first off theres only 6 tracks, not much options and no championship or story mode etc. Therefore this game gets boring quickly.I think Speed Devils is a better bet.the racing may not be as good but there IS WAY MORE REPLAY VALUE BECAUSE OF THE CAREER MODE.

5-0 out of 5 stars really fast
The game is amazingly fast and without any lag. It's a lot of fun! I don't regret it. ... Read more

5-0 out of 5 stars Great game
This is a very good first person shooter game. You get a lot of weapons to choose from, plus both stealth and turbo powers for different situations. There are also a ton of different missions you can try. Great graphics and nice controls.

4-0 out of 5 stars ... i need help
this games gets you hooked because you feel that it's for kidsbut after a while you start to learn that it does get harder and imeanharder as in [WOW] maybe this isn't a lil kids game.if you likedhalf life think of this as a dreamcast version.. you can snipe, setland mines and there is food and ammo when you need it so if you justgo turbo you'll ok...

4-0 out of 5 stars Not all it could live up to be..
A friend has the early version of it, and it's really disappointing.I haven't seen the show, but I've seen a commercial. The CG animation in it is bad and so it is with this game.If feels like you don't do anything for a real reason, and it's allll marketing. However the grahpics are VERY good.Dreamcast handles the rates really well and the camera is *medicore* some things I didn't like, but he says they'll fix it in the final. The controls weren't all that bad but I never had problems with that (I.E. - Vitrual On: OT).

I hope they follow through on this.. it might change radically, don't blame me =) ... Read more

Editorial Review

Sega has had great success with its previous sports titles for theDreamcast, so everyone was waiting for them to hit one out of the park with therelease of World Series Baseball 2K1. In many ways they have, but thegame suffers from enough bugs and has so few options that true baseball fanswill be crying foul.

Stadiums and players are rendered in glorious high-resolution detail, to thepoint where it's easy to recognize a player by looking at his face. Similarly, most of the animations look terrific--especially diving catches and quickacross-the-body throws. We also enjoyed the pitching and batting interface, which is more complex than that found in most baseball games but becomes a lotof fun after a little practice.

Unfortunately, the game is all downhill from there. Once a ball is hit, playersare forced to sit and watch the computer field it. The lack of control isabsolutely infuriating, especially since Sega hyped this game's realism from thebeginning of its development. The crowd sounds are anemic and there is no colorcommentary, which is just as well considering how terrible the play-by-playannouncer is. If you really love baseball, you'll really hate World SeriesBaseball 2K1. For casual fans who prefer flashy graphics and a funpitching/batting contest to thorough stat tracking and the ability to field theball, this game is a home run. --T. Byrl Baker

Pros:

  • Gorgeous stadiums
  • Nice TV-like presentation
Cons:
  • No fielding
  • Stuttering animations
  • Lacks fun extras

5-0 out of 5 stars It was great if the maker think about the game deeply.
Recently, I am a very deep fan of MLB though I am Japanese. It is for that I have many opportunities that I can watch MLB games on Japan TV because Japanese top baseball player went to MLB. Obviousely, MLB playing style is very wonderful. Mainly the batting is power vs power. The batting form and the flying figure of hit homerun ball is splendid. For instance, B.Bond,A Rod and G.Jiamby is so.

When I played this game at first time, that is, for a few weeks, I was very bore for the game. As wrriten in this game review, when we set in our defense play, the movement almost rely on the computer, and we can not reflect our thinking. After that for a few months, I put the game to my book shelf. As I got to be a hot MLB fan day by day, I remembered about the game of the shelf, and played that again.

Unexpectedly, I enjoyed the game more than the first time. That will be because I got many knowledge about MLB. I knew that there were some players who had many unique batting forms. In the same time, in the game I knew what is expressed many unique batting forms too, for instance G.shephield sharp batting form, N.Garusiapara's nervouse glove touch is so. I think that the maker put the deep consciousness to the detailed graphics of players. Off course for the native american fans as you, such things may be natural, but for foreigner fans that is sufficient thing.

Though the defensive is a little bore certainly, the batting play is fun. We can reflect our thinking for the play to some extent, therefore the more we improve our batting technique, as the batting player will react to our wish. I hit 25 homeruns a game by using all star custom setting.

Thank you for reading my poor English.

1-0 out of 5 stars What was Sega thinking?
I wish that I used to review games as a job because the only way I can play World Series Baseball 2K1 is if I were paid to do it!!

2-0 out of 5 stars What the?
This game to start out, looks great!Aside from looking great it may possibly rival early Nintendo versions for the worst MLB game ever made.First, you are introduced to the pitchers. They give you a small detail about the pitcher but no season statistics, so you do not know what you are up against.Secondly, to bat, you release the right trigger to swing. You are forced to use the analog thumb pad also.

At the end of the game, it tells you the winner, the loser, if there was a save & the homeruns.NO BOXSCORE!!!???I don't know about the majority but I like to base my players starting status on two things.1. Reality (the correct rosters) 2. Game to game statistics. If a player is slacking you have no way of knowing. You can't check in the middle of the game to see what the player is batting on the game. And if you want to change pitchers, you must also call it blind, as they provide no information as to what your players' ERAs might be.Usually games will tell you when a player steps up to bat, how they have faired in that particular game, along with season stats. Here they only provide season stats.I would like a 1-1 today, 2 for 3, etc.

This game is not fun.I gave it 2 stars because it looks good.Don't bother buying this game.It will only frustrate you, unless you care nothing for real game play.

2-0 out of 5 stars not their best
I've been touting the Dream Cast's sports game for some time now. Generally they are some of the best--NFL 2K, NBA 2K, Virua Tennis... I suppose it shouldn't come as a surprise that sooner or later I'd find one that isn't that great. And I'm not surprised it is the baseball game. Unlike football and basketball, there really is no movement in a baseball game, which I think is partially responsible for how much I dislike this game. Just being baseball itself. Add that to a difficulty in pitching and batting, and the problems with fielding a ball and you've got a game that isn't real great (I remember a nintendo baseball game that was more fun, even if the graphics weren't that great). I will say that the stadiums and graphics are beautiful, but it takes more than a pretty picture to make a fun game. And this game isn't much fun.

3-0 out of 5 stars Not Sega's Best Work
Pros: Graphics- The best thing on this game is the graphics. All the players look EXACTLY like the real players.Player piching and batting moves are wonderfully done. The stadium shots were also incredible.
Cons: The commitator for this game gets REALY montonious. He says the same thing over and over again. Also, the fielding on the game was horrible. All of it was automatic. It frustrating to see players not catch balls that are hit right at them.

Over all the game was okay. ... Read more

1-0 out of 5 stars Tony Hawk Stinks!
This game really stinks because it has no point to it. You would be better off having Tony Hawk 2, 3, or 4 for other sytems. It is a better use of money.

1-0 out of 5 stars I should have got something else...
Well this game was ok, when I first got it but it got really boring. I just played the 2 player mode at first and that's probably the best part of this game. The music is really bad. I don't pay money to hear some one cussin'.The gameplay is kind of disapointing, all's you really do is jump, hit a bunch of buttons... jump, hit a bunch of buttons...jump, hit a bunch of buttons...But if I were you I'd look for a better game.

5-0 out of 5 stars Must buy 4 Dreamcast Owners
I heard some people say this game stinks but thatz cuz they don't respect it as the original. They've just been spoiled by THPS3 which is obviously the best game yet, but for the first shot at a THPS game this 1 was a sucess! The Dreamcast version also has improved graphics & sound quality with the same good gameplay as PlayStation.

5-0 out of 5 stars Awesome Game!
This is a great game. It has 9 different skaters to choose from. There are many different levels. It also has a career mode so you can unlock new levels and upgrade decks and stats. I play this game all the time. It is even fun to just watch someone play. Of course you don't have to do that. You can Play two player mode in Horse, Graffity, and Trick attack. This game will keep you playing for hours to come. I can highly reccommend this game!

1-0 out of 5 stars AWFUL FOOTBALL GAME EVER MADE.
Bad is a to nice of word for this game.

1-0 out of 5 stars This game sucks
This game should be banned, because its like you are just wasting your money. the game play is horrible, i hate the controls. madden 2001 is the best!just about everything about nfl quarterback club sucks, if you like this game than i suggest you check with your doctor

1-0 out of 5 stars Worst Game EVER
This is beyond any shadow of a doubt the worst game that has ever been made.I would rather play Pong than this game. The controls are totally inaccurate, and the game is beyond slow.If you want to play a good football game, look elsewhere because this disk is best used as a frisbee.

1-0 out of 5 stars don't buy
This game is terrible! It is almost impossible to play defense on this game. Very difficult to tackle and impossible to cover the wide outs. If your going to buy a game buy NFL2K.

3-0 out of 5 stars Save your money ! get nfl 2k1!
Although this game has improved over last years version it still does notmeasure up to nfl 2k or even the playstations versions of madden andgameday 2001. Wide open receivers drop easy catches the computer defensiveline often cheats and you can still gain big yards with any quaterbackrunning the bootleg. I was playing the super bowl and had a big lead andall of a sudden late in the game the computer started controlling theaction and i just managed to hang on to win( plays repeating that i didn'tcall- ext). Okay for a rental but, if you must have a game get one of theother titles that are coming out, and leave this one in the store. ... Read more

Editorial Review

Driving games sure have come a long way since the 1982 classic arcade hit Pole Position and, with true-to-life graphics, Monaco Grand Prix for the Dreamcast races ahead of the competition. Based on one of the world's oldest and toughest races, this impressive game features an innovative four-point physics engine to monitor and control, as well as the ability to go head-to-head against a friend or the computer. Choose from 22 racers on a variety of skill levels, and three gaming modes. The arcade mode lets you choose from a single race or a championship rally, as well as time attack and free run options. The simulation mode brings real-life conditions (such as weather, car damage, and lighting) to the racing action. If you race in competition, there are 12 circuits to conquer, including the Monaco Grand Prix. A retro mode allows you to race vintage '50s cars on an older track.

While Monaco Grand Prix sports stunning graphics, some players may get bored with the high number of laps required to complete a race. This is also a difficult game to master. In the early stages of gameplay, many players will spend a lot of time running on the grass or crashing into the track walls. --Carrie Bell

Pros:

  • Unique retro race level
  • Pit stops are very realistic
  • Cars and tracks modeled to Grand Prix specifications
Cons:
  • Controls are more difficult without an optional steering wheel controller
  • Novice drivers may find some races too difficult

3-0 out of 5 stars Not So Great
Grand Prix is not that great, even for a driving sim. I used to work at Sega as a game tester, and spent countless hours testing this title. As a racing game, it's subpar. As a sim, I'd say it was average. Yes, there is a learning curve and it does take a while to get a handle on the game (especially when using the standard controller), but it's not worth the effort because the game is boring. The soundtrack is lame (possibly with the exception of the German track), and once you do master the tracks and levels, there's still no sense of satisfaction. If you want a challenge and don't mind the static gameplay, this is probably an ideal title for you. If you want something easier and more dynamic, I suggest TNN Motorsports Hardcore Heat, Tokyo Xtreme, Suzuki Alstare Extreme, or Metropolis Street Racer.

2-0 out of 5 stars disapointing
I purchased a used copy of Monico Grand Prix and was verysatisfied with the service provided for buying used games. However this version was not compatible for use with my Sega racing wheel, and the Sega people were unwilling or unable to help me configure my racing wheel with the game. Be careful about compatibility when you purchase used games! Playing a racing game with a regular control is a real bummer.

2-0 out of 5 stars it`s OKAYandnothing more to this Cheater..........!
I`mafrequent gamer of Formula 1 games.i played it since 1998.Then it was Playstation, now it`s Dreamcast version of it.First of all, when i purchased this game for almost ... in India,i thought it would bring some cool stuff ,better than thePlaystation`s.When i saw the Intro,i was fascinated and thought that the game would also be presented in the same style as Dreamcast is a 128bit game system. But when it came to sitting in the Driver`s Cockpit,i was rather Dissapointed.yes,true.But i don`t know how some friends gave such backing up to this LOSER game in all of the reviews i`ve read so far.Perhaps i`m the only person to have given bad criticism to this SO CALLED non-recognisedgame.In my viewtheUBI Soft owners should have done much better improvements to the non-recognised cars other than thesameFerrari`sScarlet colour and the McLaren`sSilver colour.Alland all i`ve been decieved and been robbed a whole amount of ...- Rs,(indian currency, means ahuge to common indians)from the creators of this game.so,for the intro andsound effects i give 2 stars to this game

4-0 out of 5 stars A very good F-1 simulation, but a few weak spots included.
I must say, even if Monaco Grand Prix is not endorsed by the FIA, it's still a very good simulation. Although if you are a novice, I would recommend staying with the arcade mode. It may not be as realistic compared to Simulation mode, but it's also a lot easier and not as many bells and whistles. The courses do not have their real names, but are by the country that they're located in, except for Monaco.

Once you change from Arcade to Simulation mode, there's a major change. It gives you a lot more options to make the game feel more realistic, and is also a lot more difficult in control. In real life Formula 1, 1 slight mistake could cause major trouble. Monaco Grand Prix does an excellent job of that, so if you make even the slightest mistake on one of the curves, you could completely spin out. The pro is that it gives you the feeling of realistic Formula 1 racing, but the con would be that sometimes novices could get very frustrated with it losing control ver
