    Editorial Review

The person who came up with the phrase "cheaters never prosper"obviously never had a GameShark. This device has already proven to be amust-own for hard-core gamers on other platforms--and now it finallyarrives on the Dreamcast. For the uninitiated, GameShark temporarilymodifies game code to enable special cheats... and we're happy toreport that it works like a charm.

The shiny box includes a videotape that shows beginners how to get themost out of the device, a GD-ROM containing the boot-up software, several preinstalled cheat codes for a variety of games, and a small"code holder" that attaches to the bottom port of your Dreamcastcontroller. To use the device, you just load the included GD-ROM,select the game you want to play from the list, and tell the GameSharkwhich cheat codes to enable. Then you simply insert the game disc whenprompted, and the cheat codes will be in effect as soon as the gamelaunches, courtesy of the little black device attached to your gamecontroller.

One nice thing about this GameShark is that you can use yourDreamcast's modem to connect to the official Web site to grab thelatest codes. Otherwise you can enter them manually. We found that theGameShark was terrific for revisiting older games we've already beaten--andeven better for blowing through rental games we had no plans topurchase. It's easy to use, and new codes are released regularly.

Special note to consumers: It has been reported that there areincorrect codes for the Dreamcast game Resident Evil: CodeVeronica installed on the GD-ROM that accompanies the firstgeneration of GameShark devices. Consumers who find that thepreinstalled codes for this game do not work should visit the InteractWeb site to obtain the correct codes. --T. Byrl Baker

    Pros:

    • Setup is easy, and it comes with plenty of codes
    • Ability to manually enter new codes means you can use this withevery game scheduled to come out for the Dreamcast
    Cons:
    • Entering codes manually is a chore
    • Some devices are preloaded with incorrect codes for ResidentEvil: Code Veronica

3-0 out of 5 stars Average GameShark
I bought this for the Dreamcast and thought it would solve all of my problems but really it didn't! Most of the games only have one or two cheats and those do not even help! There are only a few games that I use it for! Anyway, I would stay away from this unless you really need it!

1-0 out of 5 stars Worst. Product. EVER!
Seriously, the Gameshark is NOT worth it. Although the GameShark is fun to use, it is just to dangerous. Ever since I used my Gameshark i've lost TONS of data of 1 memory card, and from what i've heard it can even Crash your Dreamcast. stay away from El Diablo and his ever gameshark of doom

4-0 out of 5 stars ...dunno if i wanna buy this...
I got my first gameshark when my playstation (dang defective lasers -_-) and it was one of the greatest things i had ever bought, until one of my files got deleted, which was partly my fault for not making a backup :(. It would be great for my dreamcast, except for the fact that the one game i would use it on (PSO, or Phantasy Star Online)i cant make a copy of!XO But other than that game, i would recomend it for any extreme gamer like myself.

1-0 out of 5 stars Horrible
I hated it. It deleted my game and took up too much of my memory. When i tried to see what was wroung by watching the intructional video, my sega crashed and now i have to buy a new one.

5-0 out of 5 stars Awesome
This product is a great add on to your dreamcast consol. It brings they playing field to a whole new level of X-tream fun[!] I loved it, it made alot of my games much better then SEGA ever could(no affense SEGA)![.]There's only one problem... ... ...
sometimes it messes up your game but that problem is no problem if you have more than one copy of each game's saved data on your memory card. Oh,and it's really easy to use, plus if your real stupid you can use the instuctional video they give you with it. Well, my main point is that theGAMESHARK CDXis... ... Awesome![.] ... Read more

Are you sick of fighting games that require months of practicejust to master the basic moves? Try JoJo's Bizarre Adventure, aside-scrolling 2-D fighting game that puts the focus squarely onkicking butt. And along with the great controls and colorful graphicsthat look like they were ripped straight out of a cartoon, players aretreated to a fairly entertaining story as the game progresses.

JoJo's Bizarre Adventure adds a few more twists to the standard2-D fighting genre, and the strangest are the sidekicks called Standsthat each player has. These familiars occasionally enter the fray whenthe action heats up, and combined attacks with the characters and theStands are the most powerful in the game. The onscreen action can get alittle confusing since so many things are happening at once, but thesimplistic controls help keep things manageable. JoJo's BizarreAdventure is not the best 2-D fighting game ever made--in fact, inmany ways it seems downright dated when compared to superior 3-Dfighters such as Soul Calibur and Dead or Alive 2.However, if you are seeking a simple fighting fix, JoJo's BizarreAdventure does make a solid and colorful addition to the Dreamcastlineup. --T. 3-0 out of 5 stars odd game, odd play
Jojo's bizzare adventure is a very strange game. the closest thing I can think of that even remotely is similiar to this is darkstalkers (also made by capcom I believe) the controls are hard to get a hold of, especially on the dreamcast controller, and the graphics are not up to the machines capabilities. (In fact the graphics are very similar to those used on the saturn version of darkstalkers.) the play istelf is quite limited, combos and special moves are difficult to pull off, although they are funny at some times. The horrible quality of the japanese dub (japanese dub is better!) makes the game even more enjoyable and makes you feel like you are playing an import game. all together, the package scores about a 3.3.

3-0 out of 5 stars Okay beginner fighter
This isn't the most complex fighter out there, and its far from the best, but it can still be fun and is also a good game to get someone into fighting games who would normally stay away from them since they always get beaten harshly whenever they attempt to play one against a friend. Unlike the Streetfighter games and SNK fighters, this one is more cartoonish (its based on some anime I believe), it is also different in its attacks. Unlike most fighting games where you have several punch and kick buttons, each character has several attacks totally different from the other characters (one character can throw pots and pans, while another can shoot a gun where you can guide the bullets path for example)

The disc itself has two versions of the game on it, one is Jojos venture, and the other is Jojos Bizarre Adventure. Not much difference between the two except "venture" has a survival mode while "bizarre" has more characters to choose from.

The game overall is not going to blow any hardcore gamers away, but it can be a fun and humorous alternative to more complex fighters.

There are better fighters out there for the same price as this one, so only go for this game if you are a diehard fighting fan and feel the need to have as many as possible or a first time player, otherwise you might feel upset over your purchase if you are used to the likes of Street Fighter and Fatal Fury.

1-0 out of 5 stars If you are a Street Fighter fan....DO NOT BUY THIS
I got it for 10 bucks and it's still not worth it.The graphics aren't good, the characters are just stupid, and it's not fun.

2-0 out of 5 stars There are better 2D fighters games out there
I give Jojo's Bizarre Adventure a thumbs up for originality (some very colorful characters and special attacks here), but I think the game is otherwise mediocre. The graphics and animation are below average (compared to games like Marvel vs Capcom and Street Fighter Alpha), and the game itself is not much fun to play. If you want a good 2D fighting game for your Dreamcast, get one of the Marvel vs Capcom or Street Fighter titles. The only people bound to enjoy Jojo's Bizarre Adventure are 2D fighting freaks. Others will probably regret their purchase.

4-0 out of 5 stars Almost perfect... but not quite
If you enjoyed this game, I highly recommend the PlayStation version. This is the only game I like better on the PSX then the DreamCast. The reason is the Options and Mini-Games available on the PSX are not available on the DC.

The DC does have MUCH better graphics, sound, and full animations for each character, (Middler dances in the DC version for her standing pose!) but only one option, Kiddie Mode.

The PlayStation mode has over 25 secrets to unlock, and 9 mini-games to keep you busy for quite some time! The Stands are transparent and the characters don't have full animation, but all of the attacks are there and the game-play is wonderful. So at least give it a try - you won't go away disappointed! ... Read more

5-0 out of 5 stars Amazing job Capcom and SNK!
This game is really good.Even though the DC really didn't do so well, this game really makes you wonder why.The game has the classic 2D look, with amazing special effects, and the gameplay is really cool. You can choose whether to use the SNK system (which is like a DBZ way of fighting, as you can gather power for your Special Combo), or you can use Capcom (which I really recommend using, since you have control over how strong your SC is). Also, you can unlock many different versions of characters, even Evil Ryu!The only problem is that the DC controller will destroy your thumb with all the thumb-sliding you have to do for the special attacks. But anyway, pick this game up if you wanna have a good ol' time with your buddies for hours.

4-0 out of 5 stars Get Fatal Fury or Project Justice instead
You can not do any 10 hit airial combos because the screen does not pan up when you hit your opponent into the air.

The graphics are very bad. It look like a SNES game. Don't wate your money on this, you will be disoppointed as I was. I expected much better from a game with SNK and street-fighter characters.

5-0 out of 5 stars Capcom's VS. Series continues to DOMINATE!
After four vs. games with Marvel, Capcom continues on with this legacy with SNK.This game is cool since you get to play with fighters from the KOF (King of Fighters) Series and the Street Fighter Series. There are also included two hidden bonus characters, one from Samurai Showdown and the other from Night Warriors. The stage entraces are another unique feature that makes this game really cool.I would recommend this game to anyone who likes to play fighting platform games or likes Capcom or SNK games.

4-0 out of 5 stars #2 Fighting game for the DreamCast
I love Capcom and I love SNK, they both make or made great games (SNK which stands for Shin Nihon Kikau went out of business in October of 2001, which in its great run brought us great games such as The King of Fighters) So when I heard they were gonna make a fighting game together I was dancing around a little school girl. I already own Marvel vs Capcom and Marvel vs Capcom 2 and I wanted to see if anything could possibly top them, I was almost sure of it since both companys make the best fighting games ever. Once I bought it I played it for hours on end, unlocking characters, finding new moves. The best part of the game is the graphics, which look like PS2 standards and the Levels are the best I have ever seen in a fighting game. The music and sound is phenomenal. The only thing that kept me from giving it five stars was the [bad] play control, the hyper moves are near immpossible to do and even your simple basic moves were hard to pull off. Still that didn't stop me from playing it over and over again.

If you like fighting games and you have a dreamcast, buy this!

5-0 out of 5 stars Loads of fun...
This review probably won't get printed as I'm going to let you in on a little secret.

Go to capcoms web-site and buy on-line for twenty dollars or go to ANY other on-line retailer who sales dc games.

The game IS worth every penny, it's the most amazing 2D fighter you'll play, if you loved SNK fighters and Capcom fighters from the 80's... get ready for fun. ... Read more

    Amazon.com Review

For those of you who are unfamiliar with the Quake series, thepopular PC game puts players in a violent world in which the point is to collectweapons and kill as many opponents as you can. While not without its flaws,Quake III Arena goes well beyond just mimicking this experience forDreamcast users. It's the best PC-to-console port yet.

Quake III Arena is the first title to allow multiplayer, real-timenetworked gaming between Dreamcast and PC players. Hooking up through theSegaNet servers, players can go online and shoot it out with other people aroundthe world for the first time in console history. (We played with a keyboard anda mouse--the only way Quake III should ever be played--and with them weexacted my punishment on more than just a few unsuspecting patrons.)

A full slate of 25 nasty warriors has been rolled out for the Dreamcast game. The weapons--which range from shotguns and rocket launchers to lightning gunsand plasma guns--and effects also are packed in tighter than Charlie Tuna in hiscan. It also has all of the nifty springboards, quad damage, space-age dungeons, and everything that we loved about our favorite shooter on the PC.

The Dreamcast version has a large variety of gameplay options, including singleplayer, free-for-all, tournament, team deathmatch, and capture the flag, most ofwhich are open for play in two-to-four-player split-screen mode. The game'srendering engine achieves smooth and realistic texturing, and stunningenvironmental effects. The environments in particular are great, with dazzlingsky textures leading the way. Also, the geometry and large, detailed textures ofthe character models make them the envy of the console world.

The character's movements in Quake III Arena didn't feel nearly as smoothas in the PC version, because of a rather slow framerate. Compared to the PCversion, this one makes you feel like you're battling with one leg in concrete. While it's good for console and ambitious even for the Dreamcast processor, youfind yourself losing targets that you feel you should track with no problem. Onecan forgive Quake III Arena if at the end of the day you have somethinggood to play online. With Quake III Arena, something good this way comes.--Todd Mowatt

    Pros:

    • Multiplayer, real-time networked gaming between Dreamcast and PC players
    • Smooth and realistic texturing, and stunning environmental effects
    Cons:
    • Sluggish framerate

1-0 out of 5 stars A horrible, horrible disapointment.
I played this game a LONG time ago (I don't know what happened to it, and I don't exactly care) and I hated it too the most extent. Multiplayer has some value, online is no longer available, and it's much too hard to aim with the controller, dispite what that other guy said 4 years ago. The single-player is boring and repetitive, though the characters are plentiful, with several options of their appearance, though this hardly redeems this sad experiance. The levels are small, but the game does have a spectacular framerate, and no lag, even when I blast in every direction with the rocket launcher, and spin in circles looking at their smoketrails. Once again on the characters, they seem slightly cartoonish, and sometimes scary, but not in the OH GOD, SAVE ME!! way, but more of the demented, troubled mind sort of way (Anarchy creeped me out). Overall, I'm glad this game is somewhere I don't know, and this is an absolutely horrible FPS and game experience. It has some fun (for about an hour), the controls are bad, and clearly not meant for the standard controller, as alone right away their isn't even a fire button on the defult when using a controller. This game is a steal for free, but seeing as its not, try out Unreal Tournament which did a terrific job emulating a terrific FPS for the PC to the DC (UT2k4 is out by now though). I have to say this again, this game was a waist of an hour, and it even lacks the core nescesities to earn a lowly two. Id give this game a 0.5, but that isn't the rating scale. I give this pitiful shooter a one...out of five.

2-0 out of 5 stars Not much fun...too hard to enjoy...HUGE DISAPOINTMENT
Quake for Dreamcast is a HUGE disappointment!!! The games has a useless, irrelevant single player on par with Outtrigger and since online in no longer available the game is all but virtually useless except if you have friends over.

The game play is a little too fast and control on the controller (although it can be customised) is difficult. Aiming and tracking enemies becomes unbearably difficult with the controller and brings the game down more than anything else!! Nothing is more frustrating than trying to dodge and return fire through strifing, it is accomplished much easier in Outtrigger!

Overall Quake Arena is a serious let down!! I have Quake 2 on my PC and enjoyed the single player missions which are in NO WAY found in Quake Arena! I was really excited to get this game as I read all the over-hyped reviews on this site and others...but my heart was broken by frustrating and frantic speeds coupled with annoying aiming or lack of aiming mechanism.

I was first introduced to the genre through the multi-player Deathmatch of Rainbow 6: Rogue Spear on the DC and that was a much better experience with my friends. The idea of stealth, sniping, throwing grenades around corners and planting c4 all made that title a much better investment. Quake Arena lacks ALL that and exchanges it with fast running... shoot... run out of ammo... run... run... shoot with no strategy... run etc. You get the point. The game simply has you running VERY fast and struggling to process all the action.

On the plus side the game has good graphics, sound and the ability to turn blood OFF...thats it the positives end there!

My final word is simply this..."Look elsewhere for a good FPS"

2-0 out of 5 stars PC is a lot better
The PC version is much better.

5-0 out of 5 stars Frag the ...!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
The best PC to console port (along with Unreal Tournament for the DC) yet, Quake 3 is the king of multiplayer frag mayhem. There is some choppy frame rate at times, but its barely noticable because you'll be running and gunning your way through the arenas. You can pick to play as various characters such as the guys you played as in Doom and the original Quake, and the weapons are great too, I only wish the Rocket Launcher had auto aim like the Rocket Launcher in Unreal Tournament does. The single player mode will get boring once you beat it, but the multiplayer mode is what Quake 3 is all about.Whether its two or four player split screen, or you hook this bad boy online, your guaranteed one [heck] of a time.Get it while you can, the [other] version can't hold a candle to this Dreamcast gem.

    Editorial Review

"Ladies and gentlemen, boys and girls... Let's Get Ready to Rumble!" calls renowned ring announcer Michael Buffer to start one of the most impressive boxing video games on the market. Ready 2 Rumble takes full advantage of the Dreamcast's advanced technology, and it shows. Each boxer, be it a gorgeous female pugilist or a towering wall of muscle, is beautifully animated in 3-D: watch Tank Thrasher's enormous gut jiggle and bounce as he's knocked to the mat, or see fighters wince when hit or smugly grin when they land a hard punch. Or feel the action with the optional Jump Pack as your controller shakes with each punch and knockdown. The Dreamcast smoothly integrates all of these enhancements while maintaining a high frame rate. The result: Ready 2 Rumble is an incredibly fun game that delivers a knockout punch.

By far, the best feature of the game is the variety of boxers--20 in all--representing a range of personalities and abilities. Afro Thunder, for example, is a trash-talking, Chris Rock-sounding fighter with a repertoire of ring speed, quick jabs, and over-the-top hooks, while Butcher Brown is a heavy-handed thug built like a dump truck. There's something for everyone, with many nationalities, genders, and fighting styles represented. Since each fighter has different speed, reach, and moves, there is a pleasant amount of depth to the game.

Ready 2 Rumble offers two different game modes: Arcade and Championship. Arcade mode is for one or two players, and is simply a series of boxing matches. The single-player option pits you against a computer-controlled opponent, while the two-player format lets you and a buddy hammer it out. Championship mode puts you in charge of your own boxing gym. You start the game with three rookie fighters, facing off in second-rate gyms, and it's your job to train them in hopes of reaching the championship bout.

Championship mode also lets you access Ready 2 Rumble's most innovative feature: the ability to pit your prized fighters against boxers from a friend's gym through the Visual Memory Unit. Just save your stable of boxers onto the VMU and then use it in a buddy's Dreamcast, where you can fight an exhibition match against one of his or her boxers, or arrange a trade. The VMU also lets you save your progress. Without it, all your boxers (and all the secret characters you've managed to unlock) are erased when you turn off the console. But then again, if you've got Ready 2 Rumble, it's unlikely that you'll turn off the console anytime soon. --Mike Fehlauer

    Pros:

    • Impressive graphics and boxer animations
    • Variety of personable, quirky, fun boxers
    • Easy-to-learn controls
    • Great use of peripherals (VMU and Jump Pack)
    Cons:
    • Punch combinations can be slow

4-0 out of 5 stars Very Cool Boxing Game for The Dreamcast
Ready to Rumble is a great Boxing game especcially for the Dreamcast.

    Gameplay
The gameplay is fun...Kina Cartoony especially the characters.
    The combos are sweet.4/5

    Graphics
The graphics for the Dreamcast are great....Very smooth especially Afro Thunder and Buther brown...My two favorite Boxers in the game

    Sound
The sound is great. The crowd the music...It's all good...Nd' I meaaannn It's ALL GOOD! 5/5

Ready 2 Rumble also has Championship mode which is fun.
You can name your gym and buy equipment to train yourself. And title shots are cool to...But the Prize fights are for the money...

Overall The game is pretty entertaining...It's my favorite Boxing game for the Sega Dreamcast.

Get this game if you have a sega Dreamcast....It's just pure fun!

    Later...

4-0 out of 5 stars Entertaining Game
My preference is games that have a simple learning curve and have lasting entertainment value. This game has both. You can play well minutes after opening the box and with something like 20 characters, there are always challenges to master each character. My only criticism is of the Championship mode where you train boxers and take them through title fights. The mini-games to train the boxers are pretty weak and the whole process is somewhat tedious.Otherwise, it's a solid game.

5-0 out of 5 stars "Lets get ready to rumble!!"
Now THIS is a cool game. The graphics are very impressive on the Dreamcast. The boxers rule! A cool example is Afro Thunder, who sounds like a combination of Chris Rock and James Brown. My absolute favorite boxer, and one of my favorie video game characters has got to be Damien Black. First, the guy is 7,3", and is {get this} 500 years old. He is huge, his skin is that zombie-grey type of color, and has quite alot of horns on his head {8 to be exact}. What I'm trying to say is: He's the devil, folks. Also, there is this old british guy from the 1800s. Hes actually quite amusing. There is also this Mike Tyson clone, an ancient Indian {one of the only ones who put up a fight against Damien}, and the Russian guy from Rocky 4. Anyway, this game is really cool, especially on the Dreamcast. My rating: Get it!

3-0 out of 5 stars pretty cool
this game is cool, and is great for tournaments but can get old very fast.

5-0 out of 5 stars Fun Fighting!
Ready 2 Rumble is what Mike Tyson's Punchout was 13 years ago. And it has been that long since the last truely fun boxing game. Pairing today's greatgraphics(at least on Dreamcast)with yesterdays fun equals a great game.

The game has two modes, an Arcade mode and a Championship mode. TheArcade mode is fun when played against another "human" opponent. The 2 player game will give the user more opportunities to taunt, set upfor a combo, and go all out. Most people enjoy this type of fighting, infact everyone should. The Championship mode is for the die-hard playerwho likes to win, win, win. Going into championship mode requires a memorycartridge, and most importantly patience. The road to gold is a long, frustrating, and often dull experience. It is true when you work your wayup to Gold status, strategies have to be used. The user finds out moreabout fighting the computer, really it's just like real boxing(jab, cut thering off, win by decision). While few have the patience to test theirskills against the computer, the die-hard player never really gets thatmuch better especially against a "human" opponent who fights awhole lot different from the computer.

The game has various characters, with interesting backgrounds. We have a retired 21 year old cab drivergoing up against the Devil himself. Each fighter have different attributes, and using them to their right potential is key. Maybe the only bad thingabout the game is the music(endless). But Ready 2 Rumble wins by TKO overany other boxing games. ... Read more

5-0 out of 5 stars Worth the money
This game is better than I expected it to be compared to what everybody was saying about it. Don't worry about the grafics. The grafics are better than Resident Evil 2 and possibly 3. The controls soon become a second nature if you know the resident evil controls. And you can even walk around while you are swinging your weapons around. They even have some awsome detail in the backgrounds like in the hellbilly house they have chopped up body parts in barrels and hanging by meathooks on the walls. They have so many things in hear that remind you of the movie. They even have the broken bridge if you walk strait out from the house and search for it. Ifyou like the movie or the resident evil games you will love this game. The only thing I had trouble with is the way you save.

2-0 out of 5 stars Doesn't live up to the name of the Movie
Sure this is an Evil Dead game but whos kidding. This game isn't that great.Games based on movies usually suck But I gave this game a try(yes the Dreamcast version of course) and it wasn't all that gret.

The graphics are ok I guess. The controlls suck.Gameplay is dull otherwise if you love Evil Dead and want to try out the games steer clear away from this hunk of junk. It's your choice but trust me it's not worth the money.Crappy game.

    I give this a 2 out of 5 stars...

1-0 out of 5 stars worst controls alltime
how can anybody like this terd yeah it has neat graphics and sound and bruces voice but the controls are the worst in videogame history no joke basically u walk around with jerky animation using a button to flail your chainsaw in every direction with no aiming at all even worse it gets stuck in the creatures and runs out of gasoline cause of technical glitches the whole game u are running 15 frames per second in grainy semispooky backgrounds flailing your chainsaw at poorly drawn creatures this games a joke i own 5 game systems nearly 400 games and beat ever 1 of them but i wont even play this disgrace 1 time even for 6 bucks its not worth it

This game has it all:It has horror, comedy, and suspense! It is resident evil but 5 times better!I cant wait till i can get Boomstick! The only downside is:IT HAS AN END! lol....Bruces voice acting is AMAZING!Lines such as "Say hi to disco for me" are incredible!

3-0 out of 5 stars not bad, if it is your last resort
Finding a good Dreamcast controller these days is kind of rare, and finding a good Dreamcast controller for the killer fighting games for the Dreamcast is near impossible. The Dream Pad is decent. It's comfortable, and the inclusion of Z & C on the face are great, but they still are in an odd position. One can get used to it, but this would be a second choice for me, or even a third what with the now super rare ASCII Pad FT for Dreamcast (only released in the Asian market) or a Nuby Tech Street Fighter controller for PlayStation and PS2 + a 3 in 1 Dreamcast controller adapter, which accepts PS2 and Saturn controllers as well as a VMU, which can be found at some import gaming web sites. But if all that is too much a hassle for you, then what the heck, get a Dream Pad, since they will not be in stock forever.

2-0 out of 5 stars Short lifespan. Nice while it lasts.
I love the soft feel of the Madcatz Dreampad -- it's more comfortable than any other Dreamcast controller I've tried. Unfortunately, it is poorly made and lasts only a couple of months (if that) before the buttons start sticking and the controller starts functioning like crap. A real shame. Don't waste your money.

5-0 out of 5 stars Super Nice Controller for 2D fighting games =)
Out of all the Dreamcast controller, including the original one, the Madcatz Dream Pad is the BEST controller for fighting games for two reasons - the excellent D pad and the 6 buttons layout.

    PRO:
Most of the Dreamcast controllers D pad sucks - period! The D pad for Dream pad is good - actually VERY good, almost as good as the Sega Saturn D pad (I know, Sega, what happen to the Dreamcast controller D pad??).It is very accurate and smooth. The side gripof the controller is confortable rubber and make holding on to the D pad really nice and easy.I just love the D pad on this controller.

Second, the 6 buttons lay out is almost a MUST for Capcam fighting games!!Sega MESS UP big time on the original Dreamcast controller by not putting 6 buttons lay out.It is almost impossible to play games like Street Fighter 3, or Capcom VS SNK, with any good skill since most of the require FAST all 6 buttonsaccess.I mean, how hard it is to put 6 buttons lay out on the controller?? (MadCatz did it)

    CON:
Actually, the over all feel of the controller VERY good.If there is one thing to complain, it would be the analog sticks is a little bit loose compare with original controller. However, it is not a big problem to me and it only took me a short while to adjust to it.

    OVERALL:
This is the BEST Dreamcast controller I ever used.I give it an A+++.

    (WARNING)
I just found out that There are TWO versions of the Madcatz Dream Pad.

The version 1 (only in white color) comes with a suckie RUBBER D-pad and it is not controlling well.

The version 2 (white and other color available), comes with a NEW rubber/plastic mix D-Pad and it ROCKS!!So if you are looking for Madcatz Dream Pad.Make sure you get the version 2!

4-0 out of 5 stars better then a standard
Better then a standard. Very comfortable also like it more buttons like saturn controller no offense sega .worst part the d-pad will not be a straight cross but leans to the side at that top if you hold down long. My grips havent come off. people hands that sweat like pig get this.

Trust Me, this game will keep You going for a LONG Time! You won't believe the Content that this Single Disc Game has to Offer until You Play it.It was Much More than I Expected and I Highly Recommend it to anyone who is an avid Survival Horror RPG NUT, like Myself!

5-0 out of 5 stars the best game ever
Since I played shadow man I can not stop thinking about it and wishing that more games would be like it.

5-0 out of 5 stars ONE OF THE BEST GAMES I EVER PLAYED
THIS GAME WILL SCARE THE HELL OUT OF YOU ,DEMONS EVERY WHERE.
PLAYED IT ON N64,BUT SEGA GOT IT RIGHT.

5-0 out of 5 stars Sick, twisted, and disturbing. I like it!
Now THIS is the way a game should be made. Shadowman has it all, from good control to great graphics to eerie sound affects and music. I also like the mood of the game. Shadowman doesn't treat you like an 8-year old. Lets put it this way: Shadowman makes the original Hellraiser seem like a romantic comedy. Plus, instead of biologicly created super-zombies as the main bosses ala-Resident Evil, you {as Mike Leroi/Shadowman} must kill 5 serial killers. One of them even is a real person! {Jack the Ripper, anyone?} The story centers around Shadowman as he must stop Legion {the angel of death} from bringing about the apocalypse. Unfourtunately, Legion has assembled in army of zombies and demons to mutant pigs with hooks for hands to 5 serial killers known only as "the 5". Fourtunately, as Shadowman you are armed to the teeth with shotguns, UZIs, various vodoo weapons, the gads {vodoo tattoos that make impervious to fire in certain ways}, the Shadowgun {a gun that rips the soul from a persons body}, and the Violater {VERY satisfying}. And all the while, the game remains scary. If I may quote The Lizard King {leader of the 5} on their alliance with Legion:"What we see in death's dominionis as void as a dead man's gaze, as coldas the light from a dying star."

    Nuff said.

5-0 out of 5 stars Challenging, atmospheric, engaging, intricate...
I just finished Shadow Man last night. My brother couldn't stop recommending this game to me so I finally got around to trying it.Despite the fact that the animated characters in the story lacked detail (low polygon count), I did feel that their motion was outstanding and the "AI"s behind their actions where exceptional. Also, the settings were HUGE and fabulously detailed with great texture and imagination.Everything is connected to everything in this game and it really takes some time to learn the elaborate layout of locations (helps to have a big hippocampus). The story is dark and engaging and the gameplay is fabulous.Lots of great little puzzles to solve with plenty of surprises from baddies and the environment.I thought the music and sound effects where excellent - the music ranged from Beethoven's "Moonlight Sonata" to Gregorian chant-like music to disco (funny) to house music. The musical transitions are nothing to write home about (unlike games like Banjo-Tooie on N64) but the music is well combined with a truly spellbinding array of sound effects which add great texture to the game. Some areas of the game are incredibly dark, requiring the use of a torch or flashlight that you acquire during the game (I could only play this game at night). The bosses were surprisingly easy to defeat (except for Jack the Ripper!), once you learn how, although the real fun is finding out how to defeat them and finding them at all. ... Editorial Review

The first golf title for the Dreamcast, Tee Off is in the vein ofarcade-style golf games like the Hot Shots Golf series on thePlayStation. Players control big-headed, Japanese animation-style characters onvibrantly-colored 3-D courses. Shots are viewed from multiple cameraangles--including some mesmerizing aerial views--with the ball leaving a fading trailbehind it.

While Tee Off does require some basic golf knowledge, it uses astandardized control scheme which even those who've never played video golf willbe able to pick up on right away. In addition to customizable difficulty levels,Tee Off offers various modes of play, including gate ball (think croquetin cyberspace) and world tour, which rewards players' high scores by "unlocking"new characters and equipment.

Admittedly, Tee Off isn't for devotees of more simulation-oriented golftitles, as they'll probably pass it off as kiddie fare. However, casual videogolfers and those new to the armchair sport are in for one heck of a good timeon the links. --Joe Hon

    Pros:

    • Highly addictive arcade-style gameplay
    • Great replay value
    • Gate ball (cybercroquet) mode
    Cons:
    • Japanese to English language translation is weak at times
    • May not appeal to fans of more simulation-oriented golf titles

4-0 out of 5 stars Not bad.
If they had real characters, I would actually rate this a 5. The courses are extremely lifelike. There should have been some unlockable courses and some easier to lock players. I hate missing the red bar on the bottom, cause once you miss it, you lose a whole stroke. But playing it is all right. Though it's not the best golf game in the world, it deserves a look at.

3-0 out of 5 stars It could be a bit more realistic!!
.... The 4 characters say the same phrases over and over and I never felt like using up my memory card to save the world tour and unlock other characters. It's not like I was gonna win, anyway. I must admit, though, the 5 courses are pretty good. Japan is easy. U.S.A. gets me in the bunker alot. Scotland has alot of precipitation variations. M y ball always goes into the red clay in Australia. And Africa has a large variety of fairways and obstacles. Gate ball isn't that great because the gates are always in the same exact spots. Other than the graphics and the 5 courses, this game could use some improvement.

4-0 out of 5 stars Not for the serious golf fan
Tee Off is a fun game but diehard fans may find it disapointing. The game is based around fun and is easy to play and to get into. There are various different modes of play which improve the longitivity of the game, so you and your friends can battle it out to see who is the best. There is also an option to unlock new characters and new equipment though getting high scores.

1-0 out of 5 stars Waste of time for a Golfer
I love golf games.Golden Tee 99 and 2000 are the greatest golf games out today.I think Tee-off may be the worst. If you are over the age of 10and like to play golf, don't buy this game.If you are prone to dreamingabout playing your dreamcast and can't wait to get home to play them, don'tbuy this game! The people at Dreamcast should have have sent this gameout to pasture when the original version was delivered.Do yourself afavor, buy a football or hockey game for now, and wait until Dreamcast putsout a real golf game.

5-0 out of 5 stars Let's hit the greens!
This game is the best golf game that I have played on any platform. Some of the computer players are a little weak, but it makes it that muchbetter.

I have played this game for hours on end.The graphics are verywell done.I wish there was a better selection of players with betterskills, but that's life.Perhaps there will be a Tee-Off 2 orsomething..

I can recall many a night staying up and playing this withfriends to the wee hours of the morning.

5-0 out of 5 stars Be Patient and persistent
Super runabout is the ideal racing game in every aspect. You can unlock tons of cars and other cool vehicles not to mention new levels and extra features along with VMU games. This game never gets boring because there are so many suprises around the corner if you stick with it.It takes a couple of sessions to get used to way the cars drive.I would say spend a couple of sessions just learning how to drive and adjust your car and then learn the city.Once you do this then start the missions. As you unlock features you will get some really nice cars that handle great and are tons of fun to drive. The Acura NSX is my favorite. The first missions are ok but they get better so hang in there. There are two scenarios to accomplish missions through.I think the cop scenario is a little easier to start with, however the other scenario has a better car to start out with.Don't bother with the motorcycle or the minivan, scooter, or CRX.Just use the cop car and by about the third level you will unlock a nicer car.You acquire points by hitting other cars and mailboxes, outhouses, signs, storage sheds, windows, pier posts, parking cones, barracades, news stands, tables, chairs, turnstyles, and lots of other obstacles. You will drive; through malls full of people, ball parks with games going on, highways full of traffic, piers loaded with seals, boats parked at the docks, parking garages, roofs of buildings, wharehouses, dirt roads, caves, shortcuts, on beaches, across parks, through subways with train cars, unfinished highways, over bridges, etc.IN fact there are no limits to where you can drive. There are no invisable barriers or un-animated portions with little going on.The cities are busy, the traffic gets heavy, the people get upset, the cops chase you, there are helicopters circling the sky, terroists try to stop you, and your missions are creative and they change depending on which difficulty level you are on.Also the city is real. You will drive on the Golden Gate Bridge, down Lumbard Street, through Candlstick Park, through and around Alcatraz, on Fishermans Wharf, on the Pacific Coast Highway (101), on belt routes and inter-city freeways, through the Bay Area Rapd Transport system, you will even drive on an aircraft carrier in one mission. There are probably lots of other places I don't recognize having not lived there. There are twelve original mission and who knows how many to unlock. So far I have found three (you have to beat the game on all difficulty levels). They are fun bonus levels too, not just rehashed old levels.Even if you complete all the missions on Easy you will have a challenge finding out what exactly unlocks other features. For instance, when you jump off a ramp or a steeply inclined street, the game measures your jump in feet and keeps track of it.You can unlock new items if you beat certain records. Also, everything has a point value and if you hit many items such as news stands or mailboxes while completing missions you are shown your money earned for each item.
Any good racing game has either real cars that you can't wreck because of commercial infringments, or has fake cars wich you can wreck. This game has both, however only the models of the cars are revealed so you can figure out the rest. Also when your car is wrecked, it preformance is weaker and weaker until it just can't drive any more. This gives you great motivation to drive carefully and yet quickly.
Even if you don't play one mission, this game is tons of fun because you can watch your replays and even save them. When you do, you will see the whole segment from different camera views such as a helicopter view, a front or rear fender view etc. and its very much like watching a chase seen in a movie except no movie has ever had chases and accidents this good.If you have a wheel and pedal set up, you must try this game. There is a first person view for all those armchair drivers.
However I think the missions are worth attempting.Once you unlock some great cars then it is more fun to just free drive. If you don't complete a mission in time, the game just lets you drive around for as long as you want. The levels are huge.Your VMU keeps track of how many miles you drive and in some levels you will drive 15 or 20 in one direction. There are plenty of shortcuts and hidden routes you can learn and utilize in your game play. One of the best buys I have made for the Dreamcast.

4-0 out of 5 stars Better than Crazy Taxi?Well, yes andno.
I recently purchased this game, because of the demo, and it is more fun than Crazy Taxi. You get to destroy stuff and there is more replay value and different cars! (You can even be a cop and turn your flashers on)Anyways, the downside of this game is the control, you might as well not even try to steer in the right direction because you will slide in a different direction.Anyways the point is ..... buy this game, er I think I hear somebody calling my name.....

4-0 out of 5 stars IS FUN!
Super Runabout is fun for me and I've never get tired of playing it,This game let you drive anywhere you wanted and freedom to crash any cars you like, but don't crash to much if you did your car well not work again.Super Runabout has 6 mission that you need to complete and there's a 4 racing track you can race around San Francisco. There one thing I was disappointed that it doesn't include is a rumble compatiple.I don't know why they didn't have that on there game,my controller will shake alot crashing all those cars.I Wish Interplay make another Super Runabout 2.END

5-0 out of 5 stars Huge Fun, Funner than Crazi Taxi
I havent played the actual game but i played the demo version and I thought if it's this much fun, then the full version must be one of the best car-demolition-race games ever.I could play the demo for weeks strate and never get bored or tired of it.I would've bought it, but since it is so close to Christmas I thought I'd just ask for it, since my dad saw how much fun I had with it.I recomend it even to people who don't like car games.Definetly a winner.

4-0 out of 5 stars Great fun! (demo)
After playing the heck out of the demo, I'm planning on getting this game.

It reminds me heavily of Crazy Taxi -- free roaming a large city. But with the mission-based levels and many cars to choose from, it has an added bit of variety.

The controls are a mixed bag: the acceleration and braking are perfect (and different depending on the vehicle), but the steering is a bit floaty but not too bad once you adjust to it. The overall control and physics are more realistic than the "arcadey" feel of Crazy Taxi, add to that the fact that your car sustains damage and can be disabled with excessive damage and you have a much different experience.

I'm a big fan of Crazy Taxi, but this game still felt fresh to me. And for the reviewer that played the import version: reportedly the US version has had the control tightened up -- I can't say for certain since I didn't play the import version, but I only have minor gripes about the floaty feel of the cars. ... 3-0 out of 5 stars Good fast-paced action game
I have played and beaten the PS2 version of this game. It's very fast-paced action, which is the game's biggest asset.I would agree with the consensus that the game is not really worth full price since you can beat it very easily.I am a very casual gamer and it did not take me very long. You can play the 'Story' mode through in about 11 minutes. If you can pick up a used copy or rent it for a weekend, it is well worth it.

4-0 out of 5 stars Good Game, but...
I have played Silent Scope a little bit, and I enjoy the graphics and the different senarios. One of the main reasons why I purchased the game was so that I had another game in which to use my light gun on (besides House of the Dead 2 which is a great game with the light gun), but I found out that the light gun doesn't work with the game. I was very disappointed. I was mislead into thinking that this first person shooter would allow me to use the gun, but it does not. Maybe it is the gun (but it works fine on HOTD2), I am not sure. I would be interested in hearing if other people had the same problem.

1-0 out of 5 stars Silent [junk] fest
This was the best arcade game I have played. With that said it was the absolute worst game I have ever played on any system. It is near impossible to move your site on the bosses because they move way to fast if you want to buy this game i consider renting it first and decide.

3-0 out of 5 stars intresting sniper game
i think this game is o.k. it's certainly not as fun as playing it in the arcade with a giant sniperrifle with a t.v. screen in the "scope". the game is extremely hard because it's hard to make the right shot with a really sensitive joystick.the gameplay is not all to good becaus there is only like 2 paths to choose besides training. some parts of the storyline are also pretty lame. who would sneak into a mansion using a sniper rifle to take down your enemies? a little bit fun to see how far your friends can get into the game but without the "quarters" like the arcade it's impossible to get to the end. good graphics, but not enough game. i hate to bash a video game, so i won't. The game is fun to wath with your friends, but there isn't to much to do in the game itself. please click whether this info was useful or not. thanks.

4-0 out of 5 stars For hes a jolly good fellow....
This game is great. The graphics are great, and the control is easily used. Personally I used codes for this game and I cant imagine anyone on else beating it with out them. The bosses are impossible!!!! This game is really good but one thing still troubles me. HOW DO YOU BREAK THE UNBREAKABLE GLASS???????? ... Read more

Perhaps a better name for this game would be Mild Metal, because playing it won't likely raise your temperature. Playing thisenjoyable mission-based tank game is rather meditative, in that playersare required to think tactically in order to reach their goals. Don'texpect to be wowed by graphics or sound effects, but do bring yourbrain for this old-school treasure hunt that looks and feels much morelike a PC game than a Dreamcast title.

To beat each level, players must drive a tank around large, hilly, desolate areas while scooping up precious containers of glowing energycapsules before dropping them off at your home base. This gamechallenges the player with a wildly varying elevation and drab-coloredterrain. The control scheme for shooting is also tough to tackle.Players fire their tank's cannon by pressing a button, but holding thebutton down will increase the angle of trajectory. Not only that, theenergy capsules are often obstructed, requiring all sorts of physicalpuzzle solving to get at them. While not exactly thrill-a-minute, thisgame has plenty of depth and challenge to keep thoughtful gamers happyfor quite some time. --Jeff Young

As a afficianado of the old arcade Battlezone game (I guess that gives my age away), I find Wild Metal to be a lot of fun.Oddly, I like some of the things that other(s) (...) seem to feel are negative about the game.

Okay, so there's no big emphasis on some hokey "storyline" gag, no pre-mission briefing, etcetera. (...)It's a freakin' TANK GAME!(....) Select your tank, rumble out into the hills and mountains to find and store your power cores, and try to blow away everything that moves before it blows you away.Yeah, it takes some thinking, some strategy, but it's not rocket science with a need for some in-depth, hokey storyline in order for you to grasp the concept, and the essence of your mission.

And, okay, so there's not any obnoxious, loud, thumping music blaring at you while you play.Just the realistic rumble of your tank, the rattle of the tracks, the explosion of artillery fire. The absence of a bunch of stupid theme music cluttering up the game is a plus, not a minus. You'll learn to love the ambient sounds of the game, and will begin to concentrate on them. It's nice to be able to hear the shots coming in at you.

Some (...) have trashed the graphics, too.I actually think they're pretty good, in a desolate, otherworldly sort of way.And I love the less than 1G gravity effect.Yes, (...), a tank CAN sometimes fly!

My biggest criticism would be this:In order to ever get REALLY good at this game, you MUST be able to shoot on the move, steering the tank in one direction, rotating the turret in another while selecting weapons, shooting, adjusting trajectory and delivering your ordinance on target -- all on the fly.I haven't mastered it yet.I mostly still just pick my ground carefully, try to ambush them, strike first, strike hard, hurt them before they even get their turret turned in my direction, and, when the steel starts flying, stand toe-to-toe and just outshoot them.Doesn't always prove successful, though, and any tips on shooting on the move would be appreciated.

In short, Wild Metal is a very cool game!Buy it! ... Read more

    Editorial Review

"No refs. No rules," boasts NFL Blitz 2000, making it clear that this game is nottrue-to-life football simulation. The game disregards strict realism in favor of outrageous moves,bone-crushing tackles, and jaw-dropping plays. And you'll need those big plays: a first down in NFL Blitz2000 is 30 yards, and there aren't any rules against pass interference.

The gridiron action is enhanced by the voices of the players. A safety who body-slams a wide receiver willstand over the writhing body and jeer, "You're in MY house, sucka!"A sacked quarterback may limpaway, wailing, "I think it's broken!"Even the game's announcers get in on it, gleefully pointing out thatyour star running back just got clobbered.

So NFL Blitz 2000 is the perfect game to play with your buddies. It's fast, fierce, and quickly getseveryone talking trash and slinging taunts. Up to four people can play at once, two on each team (eachplayer needs their own controller).

Fans of deep, realistic football strategy should check out NFL 2K. But fans of the kind of football foundin highlight reels will love NFL Blitz 2000.
    Pros:

    • Terrific multiplayer game for up to four players
    • Brutal tackle animations
    • Trash-talking players, great commentary from announcers
    • Players can design custom plays and save them to a VMU
    Cons:
    • Single-player game quickly gets old
    • Turbo mode and other unrealistic moves may turn off hard-core sports fans

3-0 out of 5 stars Arena Football meets NBA JAM
If you like Arena Football and love fast paced, thumb twitching, sweaty palm action then this game is for you.If you're looking for REAL football go for NFL 2K1.THE GOOD NEWS.This is really a game about scoring massive amounts of points, pounding the crud out of NFL players that you hate in real life, and having ARCADE fun.The tackles are right out of the WWE, the game speed is that of NBA JAM, and the thrill of winning is surpassed by none.THE BAD NEWS.The big hits get boring, you get used to the game speed as you keep playing, and winning flat out becomes way too easy. All in all, this game was fun for awhile (it lasted longer than some games), and the more I played it the less I said WOW! LOOK AT THAT!The only real replay value comes from inviting your friends to partake in the slugfest and then talking crap as the feel of the bone-breaking hits make you say WOW! again.

2-0 out of 5 stars Fun, but not for very long.
I can see how some folks would enjoy a pure arcade version with no reality whatsoever involved.Myself, I think I'd like something more realistic.

First downs are 30 yards, there are no penalties, there's no kickoff, and there is no realism involved as far as athletic ability of the players. For example, if you complete a pass from Young to Rice (remember, this is 2000!), and Rice has the open field, two defenders are actually able to catch up to Rice and tackle him. This is flat out ridiculous, even for an arcade game.Ditto Terrell Owens and Tim Brown, and I was able to stop other wideouts with linebackers just by squeezing the turbo button.

The emphasis is obviously on bone-crushing tackles, but after an hour of play, the only really enjoyable aspect of this is the ability to cheap-shot the offensive players long after the ball is whistled dead. The field-goal kicking system is particularly vexing, as it was apparently designed by a chimp with ADD, and requires eight espresso-mochacchinos in order to maintain the twitch focus required to accurately split the uprights.

Overall, I see this as a fun arcade game for younger kids not up to simulation-level gameplay, and guys/gals who just want to have fun beating each other's players up.Me, if I want to beat up some guy, I'll play Soul Calibur.

I think that thisis one of the best football games I have ever played. It is fast paced, and a lot of fun.I usually don't like football games, but this one is awesome.

4-0 out of 5 stars BLITZ IS ALL RIGHT BUT......
this game is pretty fun.The graphics are decent, the sound is also above average. This game is at its best when 4 human players play in a 4 player multiplayer game.Games are always high scoring when playing with your friends. This game is a great game if you always have people who will play with you.But when playing alone this game sucks.Sure smacking the computer is fun a while, but theres no one to smack talk. The novelty of hard hits wears off fast. Also the no pass inerference rule gets cheap. On easy mode, the computer gets whooped every time beacause they never pass interference, but on hard, the computer will use it on every play, making it frustrating, because it will be so freaking hard to cathc a pass. For the person with no friends this game may not be right for you.First of all this game has no season mode for 1 player.its just arcade mode.Secondly, there are no things to keep you busy like creat-a-player ( i believe there is create a play, but i would rather have more fun creating players ).so get this game if you have lots of friends or if there are always people to play with you. if you dont have friends or you are a only child, stick with NFL2k for all you solo gamers.

5-0 out of 5 stars GREAT GAME

    Editorial Review

Fresh from the arcades, Dynamite Cop is a no-holds-barred, fast-action fightinggame that will keep you entertained from the moment you power up your Dreamcast. The gamebegins with the kidnapping of the president's daughter on a cruise ship. Your goal is to rescue herfrom a gang of strange-looking thugs by kicking, punching, and shooting your way throughmultiple environments of the cruise ship.

While single-player action is adequate, this game truly shines during the dual-player mode. Withenemies attacking from every possible angle, the onscreen action can be overwhelming at times.Almost anything onscreen can be used as a weapon--and we do mean anything. Forexample, in one scene the fighting takes place in a public restroom. Let's just say that the urinals onthe wall make wonderful weapons. Other innovative weapons include a vacuum cleaner, a couch,and--egad!--even a fish!

Dynamite Cop is instinctive and easy to use. Advanced gamers will likely breeze throughthe three distinct missions in this game, while casual gamers will appreciate the simplicity.--Brett Atwood

    Pros:

    • Fast, furious action
    • Innovative weapons
    Cons:
    • May be too violent for young children
    • 2-D graphics are a bit dated

5-0 out of 5 stars Short but SWEET!!!
Dynamite Cop is short but its FUN. Its even more of a blast with a friend or sibling. The graphics are good for this type of game and the sound is also cool. The choice of characters is decent (5 to be exact) and the action is fast and furious. The game has only 2 downfalls 1) Its short and 2) Basically easy. An option to adjust difficulty settings would have been fun.

Too bad thet there were not enough "beat em ups" for the Dreamcast because these are my favourite type of games. Dynamite Cop is apprecieated and is worth it if you like these kind of action games.

    P.S.
The Presidents daughter is buck ugly!!! They could have brushed up on that aspect a little

5-0 out of 5 stars Great! Can't Wait 'Till It Hits GBA...
...and if it doesn't, it should! This game might not be as great on the Dreamcast, but for a Game Boy Advance game this would be great! E-mail Nintendo and Sega! Dynamite Cop must return. There were too many negative reviews for the Dreamcast version. It's time for this great game to return.

5-0 out of 5 stars Great game!
This game will keep you occupied for HOURS! Better than Zombie Revenge, this game has awesome bone and joint breaking grab techniques that are very innovative and fun to use! The plot may seem like a repetition of Die Hard Arcade replaced with crazy Pirates but it still is a lot of fun!

5-0 out of 5 stars Great Game!!!
This game is one of the most fun i have ever played! from the start its good, right till the end.
Lets start with the graphics, they are good, with good quality textures and charchters.
this game has alot of depth, with a huge varity of charters 2 interact with and beat up, including-male, female, skinny, sexy, fat, turtle like, chefs..EVERYTHING!
i say female as there are as many girls in this as the men fighting, which isnt the norm in fihting games.
the graphics on the charachters is quite good, with little details like rings, bracelets and ear rings, and a varity of clothes, like bikini's, trousers, cooks clothes, big boots and stuff.
There are lots of weapons, which are all a laugh to use, which include-pistols, machine guns, fish, bread, 4 barrel rocket laucher, nukes, brooms, hair spray, make up, everything can be used as a deadly weapon in this game.
You useally get weapons of the baddies, and it has been known for a female charctr to take her accseories off, and throw rings and boots and stuff at me!!!! the chacters all use the weapons as you would, say a bloke dropped a 4 barreled rocket laucher, another charchter would go and pick it up. unlike other games, its not just the blokes that pick the weapons, unlike other games such as-final fight, fighting force, snd streets of rage, the girls are able to pick up weapons of any kind...BR>the enemy's in this game work in a completly diffrent way 2 other fighting games, like theres a area near the top of the boat, where to female charcters are chatting and stuff, they chat and giggle for about 6 seconds, then they work together to fight you, try and double team you, use weapons against you, and if you ever fall over or die on this game, they taunt you, including-laughs, giggles, name calling, showing off, and some of the ladies do back flips, and put make-up on .
there is a huge variety of fight area's, incuding- clubs, where you find girls giggling and dancing (this is a multi million boat there on ;) kictchens were you find lots of fun weapons and fat chefs, hang-outs/make up rooms, where u find woman painting there nails, putting on lip stick and suff like that. the rooms vary alot, and there are many routes through the game!
boss incounters are good as well.
my only complaint is that the game is to short, but it never gets boring interacting and fighting these charchters!
this game is really fun with 2 player, and some times there are more weapons and enemy's. i rate this game highly, because it takes side scrolling to a whole new level, as theres more to it than just beating people up, you inteact with the invroment, and so do them enemy's!
i reccomend this game 2 any1 who likes side crolling fighters, varity and lots of types of people to fight with ...

3-0 out of 5 stars Dynamite Cop...it isn't as "dynamite" as it seems
I bought this game thinking that it would take up hours of my time, and that it would be fun. I was right in thinking that it was fun, but the game is WAY too short. There's almost no strategy in this game... if you know how to mash the buttons repeatedly for a long time then you'll beat this game in about twenty minutes. Sure there are a plethora of weapons to use, and you can play with a friend cooperatively (or against each other) but it won't entertain you forever. Although you get to chose from three players (and chose from three differennt starting points) all routes in the game are basically the same. If you like fighting games with tons of weapons, then get it. However, if you want to be satisfied with a game for more than twenty minutes, I'm sure you can find something better... ... Read more
