4-0 out of 5 stars Excellent graphics, built in saved games, good action
The graphics for Monster Force are really nice. The status screens and the screens b/n levels have these animated backgrounds that look like hand drawn (in pencil) animation fading in and out (like the AHA video for you old timers).

The gameplay itself is fairly straight forward although there are a number of tools that can be picked up or "purchased" in between levels. These include weapons, health, magnets that attract "atoms" (the things that the baddies provide when they die), etc.

You can choose between drac, frank, or wolfie and as expected each has different attributes (speed/power/strength).Unlike Super Mario Bros. you cannot switch between characters mid-level.

As an occasional gamer (and a generally old dude) I wasn't as fond of this title's gameplay although I can clearly see the appeal for the everyday gamer. The gameplay was somewhat repetative and required more quickness on the game pad than logic (told you I was an old dude :->).

One distinct rarity for a non-nintendo produced title is the built-in game saving feature which in itself is reason enough to buy this title: to prove to the manufactures that we would rather not have to scribble down long tedious codes on little scraps of paper. ... Read more

4-0 out of 5 stars Excellent game
Definitely one of the best flight/action games out there.I've always been a fan of the NES version from way back in the day. While this one isn't quite as much fun to refuel or land, the action is great. The missions are difficult enough but not impossible, although the most challenging thing seems to be not 'running into' the sides of mountains or buildings.Controls are pretty easy to master once you get the hang of it.Definitely a good buy.

4-0 out of 5 stars Goose...You're Ready For Takeoff!
Okay, so this does not have Goose in it :(. But it's a awesome game! Fly in 12 missions as you learn how to recieve TOP GUN! Great! Great! Great!

2-0 out of 5 stars Little replay value
This is a 2D side scroller that's easy to beat, hence little replay value.Basically you use tricks to outclass your rivals.Rent it if you must try it.

4-0 out of 5 stars Fun, but too easy
I think this game is really fun, and very colorful, shows off the system nicely. This installment of the Motocross Maniacs series has a few new tricks, and some great looking new levels, but lacks the level of competitiveness of the old version. I still have the black and white original, and it is more fun to play over and over than this version. This game is just TOO easy.... I beat it in about an hour, and because I trounce the competition so easily, I don't really want to play it again. If you have young kids, this is a great game, they will like it and not get too frustrated. Otherwise, try Mario Kart if you like racing.I would have given it less stars if it hadn't been really fun the one time I played it. ... Read more

4-0 out of 5 stars THIS GAME IS THE BEST GAME TO BE EVER PLAYED ON THE GBA!!!!!
COLIN MCRAE 2.0 FOR THE GBA IS THE FINEST VIDEO GAME TO BE PLAYED ON THE GBA. O.K. IT IS NOT THE SAME AS PLAYING IT ON THE CONSOLE BUT IT IS THE CLOSEST YOU WILL EVER GET. THE GRAPHICS ARN'T PERFECT, BUT THE GAMEPLAY WILL COMMAND OVER ANY GRAPHICS. FIRST OFF, IT USE A 3D ENGINE IN STED OF SPITES, WHICH GIVES THE CAR MOVEMENTS A HUGE BUST. MEANING IT PAYS CLOSE ATTENTION TO THE SUSPENTION AND THE CAR WILL WOBBLE LIKE IN REAL RALLY RACING. THE CAR ALSO GETS DIRTIER, THATS AN AWSOME FEATURE, AND BEFORE AND AFTER A RACE, YOUR CAR WILL HAVE TO GO IN FOR REPAIRS DO TO WHETHER CONDITIONS AND DAMAGE. OVER ALL I GIVE IT TEN STARS.

5-0 out of 5 stars An excellent port of the best rally game ever.
The Playstation version of this title is easily the best rally game ever, and this is a faithful port. Graphics push the Game Boy Advance to the limit, and there are some great weather effects. There are plenty or curcuits to choose from, and they all look and play fairly different. It definetely feels like a rally game, as using the handbrake to drift through corners is required. But still, there is not a more addictive racing game on the market. If you own a Game Boy Advance, this is the DEFINITIVE racing game.

5-0 out of 5 stars McRae Rocks!
This is definately the best racing game on GBA yet.

You start the game with 5 cars to choose from (you are awarded more as you progress). The cars are rendered in real 3D. This means that they rock and roll as you drive: You can really feel the weight behind them!

You can tweak the car at each 'service area'. So, you can repair any damage, change suspension, brakes, gears - you name it, you can tweak it.

There are over 40 tracks, each of them quite lengthy.

The sound is great, the engine noises perfect. As if this wasn't enough Colin McRae's real life co-driver calls the turns as you drive.

The best things is that you can play up to 4 players from 1 cartridge. There are 2 ways to do this: with the gamelink cable in arcade mode, or by taking turns in ANY game mode.

This title will keep you coming back for months. ... Read more

2-0 out of 5 stars TOO EASY
This game is too easy ALL THE WAY TO THE TOP. Also, the level does not get any harder as you advance. It also does not give you much option such as off side, throwing in, Corner Kick, PK, etc. This game is too simple and too easy. It is EXTREMELY DIFFICULT to loose this game even you wanted to loose......Graphic are also not so great.

3-0 out of 5 stars Great game for kids under 9
This is a really great game for a younger gamer. The quest mode has a great story you go around the world playing diffrent teams trying to catch up with the evil brickster there is also a training mode and just single game mode to. But the bad part is I have beat teams 25-00 before in a 4 minute match. but overall it's a pretty good game.

5-0 out of 5 stars A Great Game!!!
How do YOU control a soccer team? How do YOU make your own team? How do YOU get to play AND win the world cup? It's all here, in the game!!! Watch out, tennis! Stand back, voleyball!!! Here comes, "SOCCER MANIA!!!!!!!!!!"

5-0 out of 5 stars Really Great Game
It is really cool can you can pick what country you play as, but it is also a little hard remembering the buttons.I thinik this game is good for kids 5 and up.

5-0 out of 5 stars Mom didn't have to help...
My 5 1/2 year old bought this with his own money...he'd been saving for quite some time and decided this was "the splurge" he'd been waiting for. I was a little apprehensive. He has Construction Zone, Scooby Doo Cyber Chase, and River King 2. While CZ was the easiest to master, Scooby and River King have been extremely frustrating. (age is the most likely factor, here - these are challenging games) Anyway, I end up being the one who has to help figure out the problem...and wipe the tears. NOT the case with Lego Soccer. He immediately started playing, and was thrilled that he scored a goal early on. He also really enjoyed being able to choose the teams and "win" gold, silver, and bronze medals. Seeing the flags and languages of the different nations represented even had him running to the world map to show me where the countries were located! I haven't had to help him out of a jam one time...the music isn't bad for a mom's ears...it's a great game.Hope this helps! - Midwestern Mom of Two ... Read more

4-0 out of 5 stars Zoo Cube Review
Let me just start out by saying that this is a highly addictive game. Easy to learn how to play, anybody can pick it up within a matter of seconds, yes, seconds. A simple concept of having to remove shapes from the screen. Shapes are constantly coming in from different sides of the screen, but the Heads Up Display (a.k.a. HUD), makes it easier to know which side they are coming from. The player also has the option of shutting the HUD off. However, the note of Gore for this game is uneeded. I have not yet seen an animal, and infact, the only animal in the game that I have seen, would be the monkey of the front of the box. I suppose, the note is there, because of the concept of animals being twisted into different shapes. But enough about that. The game gets harder as you move on (which games don't?), but again, it is a simple concept and anybody can play it. Highly recommended for puzzle and brain game buffs.

5-0 out of 5 stars Zoo Cube
This game is really exciting to play . Its never boring ! The cube is in a continuous motion with shapes coming at you from more than one place (side ) at a time . I bought it for myself , but my kids love it also ! The only thing that we didn't like is ,you don't know what animal you are freeing ! We have only unlocked 4 of the oceans (or seas ) . No animals yet . I guess you have to unlock all the oceans to see the animals !! I think there are a total of 8 oceans and seas . Its loads of fun !!!

5-0 out of 5 stars Someone please help me, I cannot stop playing this game
I initially bought this game for my nephew. Long after he had moved onto Super Sonic Mario XIII (or whatever), I was still glued to the screen, trying to somehow fit another flying three-dimensional object onto to my Zoocube. Similar to Tetris, somehow this puzzler never gets tiring and I had to buy my own cartridge.

5-0 out of 5 stars Cubetastic!
I JUST WANT TO FIRST STATE THAT THERE IS NO GORE IN THIS GAME. The Gore note up there seems to refer to the animals being twisted into the shapes, but this is never seen happening, and there is no graphic display of mutilation anywhere to be found.

I've waited a long time for a worthy successor to Tetris, and this is it! Let's just hope it doesn't languish in obscurity, because it's possibly the best puzzle game I've ever played.

Easy to learn, yet extremely challenging, this is an addictive experience. I lose hours every time I play. Where does the time go? Into an truly innovative and interactive puzzle game. The action revolves around a cube on which you stack colored shapes( animals who have been transformed, according to the rather flimsy plot), trying to match two of the same kind( like Noah) so that they will be "rescued" and transported from the playing field. The shapes come from three sides, and by rotating the cube on it's three axes, you catch & match to rack up a high score. But be careful! If you allow more than five unmatched shapes to collect on a side, your Zoocube will overheat, and it's Game Over. The action starts off at a nice pace and moves to a frantic flipping frenzy as you desperately try to keep the rain of shapes at bay.

I believe the engine must be fairly deep, as you are always provided with the correct piece in plenty of time - IF you can manipulate your cube to pair it with its partner, which is a lot harder than it sounds.
To increase the challenge, you can play in KO mode, where you start with pieces accumulated and must eliminate them..... but only enough peices are provide to do the job, and you aren't allowed mistakes.
And, if you can unlock it, you can play KO Blind, where the pieces aren't colored!

What about on Gamecube, you ask?? As much as I love it, I think the Game Boy Advance version is superior. I think the controls are a little bit easier and a little bit tighter, and while it doesn't have the same level of graphics and sound, it's still impressive and the flow of the game is much improved without the cutscenes.

5-0 out of 5 stars ZooCube
Man this game rocks! It's Tetris with not just an x-axis that pieces fall down, but a y- and a z-axis that pieces ALSO fall down. These "pieces" are in the GBA version colored blocks, or yellow stars, or other shapes and colors - and your job is to rotate the cube so that they fall onto and connect with matching pieces. It seems easy, but man, when those pieces are flying at you from every direction, and you have about 1/2 a second to rotate the cube in every-which-way to connect all of them together in just the right locations, you'll feel like you're rotating a rubix cube at lightening speeds, in fury and panic cause you're about to lose.
So that's the gameplay. The multiplayer feature is cool because it not only lets you *compete* with a friend via GBA link cable, but you can also *cooperate* with your friend. In the latter case, each of you has your own cube, and the screen is split. You work together in this mode to collect points. That's a great way to promote TEAMWORK to your kids!
The controls are difficult to master. That's because with only 4 arrow keys, up, down, left, and right, how do you rotate your cube in 3D space on all axes?Sometimes I'll be playing and while I'll try to flip the cube up-and-right, I'll flip it some other direction - because so far I haven't learned all the indicators that tell you which axis you'll rotate on if you press-which-directional button.I think the difficulty is changeable, however I could be wrong.
Although the publisher named this ZooCube (1 word), some retailers including online retailers spell it in two. ... Read more

3-0 out of 5 stars Good game that gets Old
The idea of the game is very neat. Monster trucks trying to blow up each other with weapons. The only thing I find bad about the game is the really annoying overhead views, and the awful music that you have to cut off after about one minute. But the game is fun, alot of cars to play as and unlock, and levels to unlock. The game is good, but it's annoying views and sounds overpower the good parts.

1-0 out of 5 stars Uncrazy Taxi
Crazy Taxi without buildings or anything else of intrest.
Bad steering too.

2-0 out of 5 stars Don't expect too much
If you are a big fan of Smugglers Run for the PS2 and I am, don't expect the GBA version to be even close. The idea of the game is the same, but the graphics are choppy and weak. Colliding with other cars and items such as trees and rocks ruin the experience by making you lose total control or making you come to a complete stop. I was especially disappointed with how easy this game was to complete, there really was no challenge at all. There is no option to complete against other drivers, and the whole Smugglers Run feel is just not there. I would suggest somehow renting or borrowing this game before you buy to make sure it is what you want.

2-0 out of 5 stars Step away from the vehicle, and this game
You may remember the original Smuggler's Run as one of the PS2's early launch titles that was by no means excellent, but was a lot of fun nonetheless.Since it had a loyal following, and with the recent wave of GBA ports, a GBA conversion was inevitable. This GBA version of Smuggler's Run does not invoke the same type of fun the PS2 version did which was expected, but the overall game feels unpolished due to the tedious missions, poor collision detection, and pop up galore. The graphics are pretty good for the most part, but the pop up trees, rocks, and hills nearly ruin the experience. The lack of options in the game (there's not even a multiplayer mode) really hurts the game as well. All in all, Smuggler's Run pales in every aspect to any other port of the game, but it is a less than half decent game that you might get a bit (and a small one at that) of fun out of.

5-0 out of 5 stars awesome game
this game is awesome fast moving and good just like it is for PS2

1-0 out of 5 stars poor track record
Judging from Destination's port of "Midnight Club Street Racing," this will probably be another bad game.In fact Midnight Club for the GBA is one of the worst games I've ever played, while the PS2 version was fine.I can only imagine Destination is going to insult another fine PS2 title and rob us of precious dough. ...
