Amazon.com Product Description

The Bugdom was once a peaceful place ruled by the Rollie Pollies and the Lady Bugs, but not long ago the Bugdom was overthrown by the clan of the Fire Ants. After recruiting other bugs to help fight for them, they captured all of the Lady Bugs and are holding them prisoner. The leader of the Fire Ants, the new king of the Bugdom, is King Thorax. Once he is defeated, the Bugdom will return to the peaceful place it used to be. You are Rollie McFly, the only remaining bug capable of saving the Lady Bugs and restoring peace to the Bugdom. Rollie has been hiding in the lawn area of the Bugdom and will need to travel far to get to the Ant Hill, where the battle with King Thorax must take place. There will be water to cross, bugs to ride, and plenty of enemy forces to defeat, but once the Fire Ants and King Thorax have been defeated, you will become the new ruler of the Bugdom and peace will be restored. Bugdom offers real-time 3-D action, more than 23 different bugs and enemies, and 10 exciting levels. Swim, jump, ride bugs, and swing on ropes. Go into beehives and anthills. 4-0 out of 5 stars Awesome game!
This game is a fun adventure. Everything is so innocent including the music and even the way that our hero Rollie kicks things. This game is for the group of people who want a fun adventure game. It isn't terribly hard but it does keep you on you're seat in many places one being the bee hive level you're always worried that you won't make the jump off of the floating honey combs. This game is action packed with fun and my only complaint with it is that once you beat the game there's really nothing else to do. But all in all this game is exelent and you should buy it.

3-0 out of 5 stars Bugdom is O.K.
This game reminds me of a game that tries to be everything it says it can be but is really not!The game is fine and the graphics are average. The only reason that I am rating this 3 out of 5 stars and not all five is because there as so many mistakes in the game.Spears can go straight through you and not even hurt you, ants can get in a big crowd and somehow keep walking forward, and sometimes the bee goes right through grass or rocks!Anyway, a fun game with lots of mistakes is all it really is!

5-0 out of 5 stars THE FUN OF BUGDOM
I think they should keep making BUGDOM!!

5-0 out of 5 stars skiaqwerty
All and all I enjoyed this game very much, it was packed with confusing levels and unforgetable characters. Even though it contains only ten levels you still have never ending amount ofbonus points to collect. And with the abilities that you have there are so many possibilities.

P.S for all those bugdom fans out there, there is a new bugdom2 out.

5-0 out of 5 stars ALittle AdviceFor This Terrific game!
You might think this game is NOT fun,but it is!When Summer vacation arrives,I'm going to get this game you call Bugdom, and I'd like to give you advice for this great game!

Level 1:The training level.Totally easy!

Level 2:Like level 1.Not as easy!

Level 3:The Pound. If the fish eat you,you are dead!

Level 4:You get to ride on a dragonfly.Don't fly too high,'cause if you do,you'll get eaten by a bat.

Level 5:You have to destroy a beehive on a dradonfly!

Level 6:The beehive. If you fall into the honey, you'll die!

Level 7:You have to destroy the Queen bee by rolling into her!

Level 8:The nighttime level.Don't get caught under the dragonflies'light!

Level 9:The anthill.Ants turn into ghousts if you kill them!

Level 10:You have to defet King Thorex!

4-0 out of 5 stars Frog Hoppin' Butterfly Lickin' Good Time!!!
Not a bad game at all! Fun, and it lasts a while. Doesn't ruin the original. But don't get the "Frogger Adventures". Those aren't fun at all. Okay animation. Good music and sound effects. Nice color too. All in all a good game.

5-0 out of 5 stars Great
The levels are cool. It's a fun filled adventure. My favorite level is "the garden".It's pretty easy, but challenging enough to make it interesting.

4-0 out of 5 stars Decent, but short
This game is pretty darn fun, but unfortunately, too short... Anyone can finish it in 3 hours flat, which doesn't justify its price.
The gameplay is great!
Overall, a good game, but too short.

1-0 out of 5 stars Don't try it on a laptop!
I'm sure it must be a great game and all but after going back and forth with technical support for lots of hours couldn't get it to work on a Windows 98 mainstream laptop, everything becomes super slow motion to the point of unworkability.Tech support didn't do any real investigation just sent me the standard 'suggestions'.If anyone has successfully done this please enlighten me!

5-0 out of 5 stars A Great Game
Frogger 2 Swampys Revenge is a great game I thought. You can be frogger or even his new girlfriend lilly the frog! It has over 40 new and exciting games to play! It has awsome graphics. In my opinon it's a better game than the first one.

About the game: Swampy has kidnapped Frogger's and lilly's frogs and it's up to Frogger and Lilly to rescue them before it's too late!

So buy it now! it's an excellent game to own!! ... Read more

3-0 out of 5 stars Celebrity Help!
For a lot of game shows that have came out for the computer, they've always seemed to have a little bit of a blind-slighted feel to most gamers. They always seem to fall just a dash flat for a full-feeling of being in the actual video game. Still, most of them are still willing to find that out one day at a time. With several revamped versions of game shows on P.C. like Jeopardy, Wheel Of Fortune, and other game shows, there is one that actually tries to stand out a little bit, Pyramid. With the success of Pyramid being revived with Donny Osmond, has been an unbelieveable exciting game, but the P.C. game still needs a little fine tuning.

The $100,000 Pyramid for the P.C. was released before Donny Osmond came on with the revival of Pyramid. The game features three different versions of Pyramid, Single Play, where you have to get a certain amount of points to get to the Winners' Circle, Double Play, where two people actually play the same way like it is on the game show. Still, it does fall a little bit, without proper speakers. The third version takes the cake however. The party play version, gives a little more of an interactive version that you play with other people, like you're actually on the Pyramid. For that one, you really need to see that, and play it with more than one version. If you get this game, get it for this version of gameplay only.

Still, it would be nice to see Pyramid updated with a newer version, based on the recent revival. I just really hope that happens soon. Still, you're better off playing the version from the television, whether Dick Clark, Bill Cullen, or Donny Osmond is the host. The $100,000 Pyramid is just a fraction of the fun it was suppose to be. Try getting this one used.

5-0 out of 5 stars Fantastic for new Pyramid game (2002)

4-0 out of 5 stars Happy to see old favorites back again!
While this isn't the version of Galaxian I remember (no ship capture, nogreen aliens, etc), I sure enjoytaking a few moments out of a busy dayand playing an old favorite.I also love to revisit my Pac-man days!Onlything that was surprising to me was that software came on 3.5 diskettes...I was expecting CD-ROM instead of magnetic media.

5-0 out of 5 stars I have Pac Man Fever
I received my game yesterday, and I rushed home to try it out. I wasamazed to find myself still playing at 3:00am. I was not disappointed. Thisgame brought me back in time to when I fed quarters in the machine hourafter hour. The graphics and sounds are exact, and Pinky, Blinky, Inky andClyde are awesome. I did find that purchasing a joystick enhanced myplaying fun. The only thing missing is the warning label that this game isstill highly addictive.

5-0 out of 5 stars ...They are not new games, but fun games
Microsoft did a pretty good job on providing us with the 4 Namco arcade classics for the computer. Each game is exactly like the original, but you can use different controlling devices such as a mouse for Pole Positions, and the much better keyboard for Pac-man.Also you can change the settingsto make the game a little bit easier or harder. The problem is these gameswont run in 16 bit color or higher, but all you have to do is just changeit to 256 colors.

4-0 out of 5 stars Blast from the past...my kids like it, too!
OK, I've seen the reviews by people who DON'T likethis package..I understand their complaints...BUT..its fun..I enjoyed playing the games, so did my kids. They are easy to play and understand, easy to learn, and playJUST like the originals. You can play them with Joysticks, or with yourkeyboard, and, ask my 8 year-old, you can play them for hours, they are asfun as they were years ago.

5-0 out of 5 stars Very Highly Recommended
If you want an exact replica of the 80's arcade games, this is it. Reviewed on its own terms (that is, does it do what it's supposed to do and how well does it do it) this game is perfect. As a 30 year old I playedthese games as a kid at the roller-rink and the play is flawless. I have asidewinder controller and it works perfectly. If you liked these games, getthis software. ... Players journey back in time to the '80s and beyond in Pac-Man: Adventures in Time. The ghosts have stolen a magical power pellet, smashed it, and scattered the pieces across his planet. With the help of Professor Pac-Man, players will travel to five time periods and from Egypt to the Wild West. There are 45 3-D mazes featuring different elevations and terrains, and designs such as spheres and cylinders. With the exception of Pac-Man's ability to jump, gameplay has remained faithful to the arcade version--he can only move in four directions and does not use objects. Don't go crazy with the jumping, however; when the jump meter runs out, Pac-Man is stuck on the ground. There are 16 playable sublevels containing hidden games that link the mazes, and there are bonus items like pretzels and doughnuts. Players can compete via a LAN or over the Internet. ... Read more

5-0 out of 5 stars Xtremely HARD!!
This is one of the hardest computer games I've ever played! I only know one person who beat all 30 or so levels. I would recomend this game to any one who is looking for a challenge!

5-0 out of 5 stars Rock away Pac-Man!You know how to do it.
Hi.My name is Aaron Warner.
I didn't get to try this game for long, because my copy had a glitch in it.I had it for 2 years (my mom had me not use it for 1 year and 11 months after I first tried it).I got past the first world with ease. And it got harder as the game went (which is 1 thing that makes it so good). The game has awesome levels where you ran on the side of a tree, ran away from a pack of Ghosts, a mix between the 2, riding in a paddle-boat, running around valcanos, feeding dinosaurs, (I know this is a run-on sentance, but who can help it?), and other things like that.Pac-Man has been my 3rd favorite in game mascots.Sonic is my second. But, Crash Bandicoot is my absolute favorite.Great graphics, good intermissions, awesome story, cool levels, great power-ups, and all-out awesome!

5-0 out of 5 stars Dude check it out!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Dude, this game is the best! This is no boring flat Mr.Pac Man with no action. this game is for anyone ages 6-100! Even though i'm 15, i find this game incresingly difficult! In a 3D world you eat pellets, swim, climb tree's,canoe, seesaw, and more!! You will get a briefing from Professor Pac Man at the start of each maze. There are over 45 mazes and 5 gigantic world's! dude if you dont get this game, you are "MISSING OUT, (TOTALLY)

4-0 out of 5 stars Hmmm....
This was a good game except the game is too short and too easy. Anybody can beat this game except if they are inexperienced Pac-Man players that really do not have much gaming talent. I'll tell you one thing, if you want a challenge, get a different game.

5-0 out of 5 stars An addicting arcade game..
This is one of my first video games that I actually bought, and it is worth the money. If you like mazes, then this one is for you.It is not a complicated video game to play; kids to "adult kids" will find this enjoyable.Keep chomping those pellets! ... Read more

1-0 out of 5 stars Kids liked, but we didn't get what we paid for
My son got this as a birthday present. We had heard rave reviews from friends and cousins who have the console Playstation 2 version. He's had a lot of fun with it but he kept saying it was different than his friends.I've since learned the PC version is in fact different and also easier from the console versions.

Everywhere I see it appears the PC version is advertised with the other console versions as the same, this includes the Activitison web site, and even here above see the amazon features and product description from the manufacturer.

No where on the box does it call out that's its different. The PC version does not allow multi player nor do you get to pick what player.Nor from what I understand does it have the levels or playing abilities the console version has.

The game is fun and we found it extremely funny at times but not worth the price tag we paid for getting it early. Aside from being mislead, we did have some complaints:1) you have to start a new game and play the whole game through to go back and play favorite levels and 2) once you figure our how to defeat the end, it's pretty much done for it doesn't allow you to see if you collected all the coins or even do some type of time trial like other games. My son mastered the game over 2 weekends since the only way of play is to play the game entirely through with no "alternate" play I expect to be shelfing or trading this soon. He hasn't played it in over a week and we've only had it for four weeks.

As I said we did have some fun with this, but we didn't get what we thought we were getting and it wasn't worth the price we paid.Properly advertised and priced this would have been a satisfactory purchase.

3-0 out of 5 stars Will entertain your kids for the weekend only
My son who is 7 bought this game on a Friday and of course had to install it right away :) By Saturday evening, he had won the game with help from his dad in a few spots. Sunday then rolled around and he beat the game again within 3 hours and this time did it all by himself.

The graphics are good in some spots and great in others. The voices are just fine and the kids will smile when they recognize them.

Your child might have a hard time playing the game via the keyboard layout and it does take some good coordination to figure it out (this is what he needed help with the most). But once they have that mastered, they will play it without any problem.

So here's the deal. By the 2nd full completed game, my son was done and it has be removed from the PC. Not much replay value for $30 in my opinion. Now I see the full retail has dropped to only $20 in less than 2 weeks. That alone should tell you that the game is faltering in sales.

Parents, in my opinion, go get a used one on an auction site or somewhere else so you don't pay full retail for this like I did.

4-0 out of 5 stars Good Fun For the Kids
Now, first off Activision (it's their name on the box) did a poor job of saying that the PC version is different from the one on X-box...It IS NOT the same, but that's not a bad thing.

Actually my son and daughter had a great time with this game. My son said "Dad this is diff'rent from the one on X-box, it's funnier."..This was obvious from his laughter throughout the game. I watched and laughed along with them..It also had good graphics ( better than most kid games). They seemed to only have trouble with a few spots, but got through the puzzles after a few tries, with little help from dad.

A good purchase,

5-0 out of 5 stars My son loved it!
This is a really good game for kids. The controls were easy and the characters made him laugh. He couldn't stop playing it!

1-0 out of 5 stars This game is not good. Enough said.
Not the Playstation version. It took 2 hours to beat. The voice acting is lame. Get another game.

That's all I really have to say about that. ... Read more

5-0 out of 5 stars Good clean, green fun
I first played this game when I was just a kid. Ever since that day, i've been hooked. What could possibly be cuter than a little green crocodile, that wears a backpack andsqueaks. Possibly an exception for the Gobbos.
Otherwise I would have to say, nothing. There is nothing cuter than Croc. Although it is a relatively moderate game in strategy and gameplay, all you diehard, gun-loving gamers out there will probally not apreciate the full value of this game. But for others that enjoy good, innocent fun, that comes in the shape of a crocodile, this game is definately for you.
The graphics are old, but it being a cartooned game rather like Monkey Island, it doesn't really effect or bother you. Instead it enhances the overall charm and granduar of this fable.
Definately five stars. More if the rating would allow it. But as it doesn't, I must content myself with a paltry five.

5-0 out of 5 stars A perfect guilty pleasure
Yes, I rated this game 5 stars. Why would I rate a game about a little green crocodile with 1 tooth, little fuzzy things called gobos, and lots of other cutesy animals, 5 stars? Because this game does what few others have done: made me unashamed to love a cute, bright, overly-happy game such as this. The storyline is simple yet fun, the gobos are a puzzle unto themselves just to free, the "special challenges" at the end of each level (providing you get all 5 gems) are quite hard, the boss's are unique and require some skill, and the graphics are bright, fresh, crisp, and gorgeous. But my favorite part is still the music, I can't help it, it's so catchy! Listen in particular to the first level's theme and the theme for the first desert level, could it fit the game more perfectly?

The only draw-back, the one and only problem with this game, is controlling dear little Croc. Once you learn to use him correctly he's easy, but sometimes when against a wall the "camera" behind him gets glitchy, and you may have trouble rotating around Croc to see better from a different angle. This can be such a problem that my friend quit the game in frustration after some time struggling with this, but honestly once you get used to it it's not too bad.

I highly recommend this for younger players and for anyone else who can appreciate this game simply for how good it is regardless of how exceedingly cutesy it gets.

4-0 out of 5 stars Dude, WHY are the gurdians so hard to beat?!?!
I found Croc a good game , but WHY did they have to make the guardians so hard? I thought that the first guardian would be easy, because usually on video games they make the first `Boss' (in this case a gurdian) easy to beat. But no! On this game they had to make the first guardian so hard that I had to on the internet and get a password to get past it! (Atually I got a password for all the levels, but if you want to know it go to www.google.com then type in the box Croc:Legend of the Gobbos, and when it says at the top Did you mean...... well if it says Croc:Legened of the Gobbos then click on that and you will get to a page full of `Croc' things. Anyway back to my review.....) The only easy guardian on the game was Chumly the rocket man which is a bit annoying. Oh and another thing is colecting Gobbos can be a waste of time.

3-0 out of 5 stars Croc is 3 stars
Croc is a 3 star video game. It is kind of boring, but the 3-D graphics are great. Another reason why Croc is 3 stars is because it is a very boring and easy to beat video game. Croc is kind of slow too.

The game is about a crocodile that that has to save gobbos from the evil Dantini. Gobbos are brown fuzzy little creatures.

5-0 out of 5 stars Awesome!
The best game ever!I cannot get off of it!The levels are easy yet challenging! This game also has a variety of great levels! ... Read more

At first I thought this would be neat for my 3 1/2-year old daughter, but I was disappointed. Some items are very hard and past her abilities at this time (the bubble game).Others are right up her alley (the matching game). The various games advance levels as you complete a level, but only 4 levels exist in each game, and there's nowhere to go after that. She was quickly bored, and the games she was not ready for brought out her frustration. ... 5-0 out of 5 stars This is a great classic!
This game is great! I first played at my friends house all the way back in 2000. The retro levels of the game are like the the levels on arcade, but with 3D GFX! The other levels are difficult, but possible to complete. I would rate the challange factor 12/10. Fun 9/10 Sound 9/10 Music 10/10 It is a very hard game, but pretty good. For those who played it back in the day, but can't play it anymore due to compatibility issues, look for the patch at vogons.

Overall: 9.8/10

5-0 out of 5 stars Croaking for Joy!!!
This is a fun game.Join Frogger to help save the little baby frogs!Save them all!Great game for everyone!

5-0 out of 5 stars Frogger Is Great!!!!
My brother and I like to play Frogger. It is great because you can race. You can race with a maximum of 4 players. If you like laughs you will like this game because you can sit on each others frogs, and lick the other frog!Whats bad about it is that you have to learn how to use the controlrs.I highly recommend Frogger.

4-0 out of 5 stars A good Frogger adaptation
I disagree with the generally negative comments from the Gamespot review. I thought this was a pretty good adaptation of the Frogger concept.

This game keeps the spirit of the original arcade game of several decades ago by retaining the gameplay style. Frogger's movements are simple, and the game doesn't move at breakneck speeds. The challenge is in the maneuvering.

But the update to the "worlds" that Frogger has to get through makes the game fun, and it's well worth the playing. ... Read more

3-0 out of 5 stars Galaga PC Win 95 Version
Galaga does not come with newest version of DirectX and 7a version does not work with Galaga.DirectX 5.0 seems to work best with the program, but does not give the user the latest and fastest video graphics.Galaga PC version also does not work well with all controllers.

Hasbro/Namco could have done a lot better with these 2 items. The game itself is fun to play once everything is programmed. However, it is not the old Galaga of 20 years ago everyone wanted.

5-0 out of 5 stars Q*bert
My cousin got me Q*bert just as a gift. I like it a lot. Q*bert is the coolest video game character ever. The 3-D graphics are really cool, and the game is fun and challenging at the same time. I think it's cool that it's a remake of an old 80's arcade game.

4-0 out of 5 stars A Classic!
Clearly, this is a dated video game.If you aren't old enough to vividly remember hearing that President Reagan had been shot by a would-be assassin, you are not going to appreciate this game.It is simplistic and the graphics are crude by contemporary standards. However, in its day, this game was novel and refreshingly fun.It is an old style arcade video game which is essentially a challenging moving puzzle, not a more modern ultra-realistic killing simulation. I spent many hours in my misguided and misspent youth feeding quarters into the Q*bert machine at my local pub.It is a nostalgic treat to be able to waste a few hours in my misguided and misspent middle-age playing Q*bert on my home computer. The fact that the game costs less than one or two nights of quarters in the arcade machine just improves the experience by appealing to my frugal nature. This game isn't slick and it isn't sophisticated. However, it is still fun. They have added a few new features, but I prefer the classic version. They have certainly captured the fun of the original version. Now, if they could only find that cute little co-ed from the dorm next to mine who used to watch me play, it would be like my college days all over again......Recommended without reservations to all baby boomers with receding hairlines. There seems to be a minor glitch with my system, Windows XP Pro.Every once in a while, the sound will stop abruptly until you close the game and restart. It does not happen often and I can be forgiving of this flaw in an old friend, particularly when the game isn't marketed as XP-compatible. However, I did withhold one star and only ranked it with four stars because this game is so simplistic compared to modern games. It hasn't aged well, but how many of us have?

5-0 out of 5 stars He's baaaaack!
Q*bert for the PC is really great! You can play the classic game, an adventure game, or head-to-head with a friend. Don't worry about those fuzzy looking graphics on the back of the box; if you set the resolution to 600x800 or higher with all the features turned on, the graphics areexcellent! (I personally have it set on 1024x768 for better backgrounds.)Don't worry about the system requirements as long as you have a 3D card. Ihave a Pentium 120 with 16 MB of RAM (waaaaaayyy under the systemrequirements! ), but I also have a fairly new 3D card, and the gameplay isvery smooth with no slow-downs or delays, and I'm also running just abouteverything off the CD-ROM! :-) This game is a whole lot of fun for new andold Q*bert fans alike!

5-0 out of 5 stars The Orange Guy is back!
After much anticipation I recieved this game, and it's the bestversion of Q*bert since his arcade release. The graphics are justamazing, the game play stays true to the original. If you buy one classic this year make it Q*bert for pc, or Playstation. You won't be sorry. ... Read more

4-0 out of 5 stars The real video Game
This was when video games were fun.One tank blasts the little alien ships out of the sky, the more you destroy, the faster they move. The old Atari system had about six game levels to them. The updated version has more.Yes, this was when video games were fun.Not the gore fest/cheap stuff that they have now.

5-0 out of 5 stars Great Job!
Activision has done a great job rebuilding one of the best classics from the old video game days. In this game, go to every planet and fight off over 12 types of aliens and over 8 boss aliens. By beating the game(which is a bit too easy, unfortunately), you will unlock the classic version of the game.
Graphics-5/5: The graphics are great in this game. You can turn the 3D detail of the game up and down. I have to say that when you turn 3D detail to Low, it looks a bit like Paper Mario. It looks cool that way.
Control-5/5: Control is nice and easy, but they are very original controls. I've never seen another game using the Comma key as a control. Plus, if you don't like the controls, you can change them through the Control Configuration menu.
Challenge-2/5: I have to admit, this game ain't too hard. It takes about, say, 45 minutes at the most to complete, not counting the 2 hidden bonus level thingies(I'll explain those in the Replay Value section.)
Storyline-NOT COUNTED- You don't need a storyline for a classic game. I don't even remotely CARE about storyline in many games, except if it's an RPG.
Originality-NOT COUNTED- It's based on a classic game. Shooting aliens isn't that original, but who cares?
Replay Value-4/5: This game can be played many times without getting old. Also, 2 more planets can be unlocked (I have no idea how) that are really fun. Unfortunately, out of about the 25 or so times I've beaten the game, the 2 hidden planets have only appeared once.
Music-4/5: There's actually not all that much music. But, the music that is on Mars is really techno and cool.
FUN- 10/10: The most important thing in every game is, of course, the fun factor. This game is really fun, and the bosses, very original and fun to beat, make the fun factor even higher. I would give it an 11 out of 10 but I don't do that.
Overall-30/35: If you've counted out all of my points, you'll see Space Invaders scored a very high 30 out of a possible 35. If I do the math on my calculator, it's a .857. That's about a 4 and a half, which is a 5 in this case. I recommend this version of the classic game to anybody. I could keep blabbing about how good this game is, but I'll run out of room. G'bye!

5-0 out of 5 stars Space Invaders: The Next Generation
I recently upgraded to Windows XP, and I'm happy to say that "Space Invaders" is still compatible with my computer.Using the keyboard for controls quickly becomes as easy as using a mouse on other computer games.Hitting the passing spaceship above the descending aliens is critical, as that unlocks added features you'll really need, such as a shield and double shot.I also like how each level adds a different alien with more challenging features.Especially tough is the huge super-alien that appears at the end of every level. With state of the art graphics and ease of gameplay, Activision has created a great game that's both fun and addictive.More expensive computer games are gathering dust on the shelf while I continue to zap aliens!

4-0 out of 5 stars Space Invaders
I really like this game; however, I just ordered it from you about 2 weeks ago and I still never got my game! I was looking foward to playing that game soon! What's going on?

5-0 out of 5 stars one of my all time favorites
have played space invaders for years (from video machines to the old atari model) and was tickled when I discovered this version for use on my computer.Have made it through all the levels and am now getting my grandson in on the fun.He shoots while I move the tank from side to side and he gets a big kick out of hitting an alien (which is getting to be more often). ...
