5-0 out of 5 stars Hey!
I'm 12 and i enjoy this game....I think it's great for girls ages 5 and up! I like how there's games that we can get that have our fave characters in them like Barbie and Kelly!! It's awsome!!:)

4-0 out of 5 stars Awesome for pre-school girls!
We purchased this software for our 3 year old daughter. She absolutely loves it!Great graphics, fun activities, and so far we have experienced no "glitches" with this piece of software. It was very simple to install and navigate.I highly recommend this to anyone with younger children. Our 11 year old spends a lot of time helping our 3 year old use this software, and being the older sibling, she found the software boring after a few sessions. It is definitley geared for the younger audiences. All together a very fun and entertaining game.....well worth the money spent. ... Read more

I'm only on level 2, and I think the game is ok, but the scenery is a little boring (the same a lot of the time). Also, it didn't give me a password on level 1, so I have to keep repeating it.It says in the manualthat passwords are given at certain times, but I didn't get any until Iwent on the internet to get them.I'm glad that I rented this game becauseI'm not gonna buy it. ... 1-0 out of 5 stars THE WORST GAME EVER
I HATE this game. It is the worst game in the world. If I were you, and did not have this item, I would save my money and buy a better game. ( any game would be better then this one.) This game does not make any sense to me. Please save your money! Please don't buy this item!!!!!!!!!!!

2-0 out of 5 stars too hard
i am 10 and this game was too hard for a kid lick me i got stuck at the very beginng

4-0 out of 5 stars What? It's done?
Starting out with the game Bug's Life, I enjoyed it very much. The levels were different and challenging for someone like myself. The key is to collect certain items and try to dodge the evil grasshoppers and such. There is no saving, only passwords rewarded after every level. Most games I assume will "never end" cause I can be so bad at them, but this game ended after like nine levels or so. I wish this game could offer more because I really had fun on it. I'm not holding that against it or anything. Go out and buy it because you know you want a new and original game, right?

1-0 out of 5 stars It stinks!
I'm a gamer and this game is one of the worst I've played. The graphics are horrible and the action isn't there. it is exeedingly frusturating unless you get cheats. I payed $14.00 for this game and it's not worth it. It might be good for a six year old, but I'm thirteen and I did not enjoy this AT ALL! It's not worth the money,my advice is, don't buy! Hope this is helpful to you.

3-0 out of 5 stars Attractive, but it does have one major drawback
There is too much lag time between the buttons andthe character's movements. If you don't press thebuttons "just so" you spend alot of time messing up. It is an attractive game to play once you get thehang of it, but it does take a lot patience.

5-0 out of 5 stars Pitfall: Return to the Jungle

4-0 out of 5 stars Pitfall Reborn
I bought this game because of the original Pitfall for Atari. It was great to have such wonderful animation and to see how far our generation has come. The number of levels and the increasing difficult made it agreat challenge.

The way the view changes is often a headache swingingfrom one type of view to another so quickly.By slowing down at certainpoints I have learned to take advantage of this by seeing other options ortokens.

I am glad this was my first buy for my Playstation. It has beena great 'learning' game for me. ... Read more

This game RRROCKS. Archer, the brave leader of the gorgonites iswho you play as. I beat this game in one day. They are awful.Archer is armed with a crossbow with arrows. This game isn't violent.

3-0 out of 5 stars Fun, Entertaining...Then What..?
This was a fun game, one I enjoyed playing (even when I was cursing in frustration). It's got that arcade-like feel where you stroll about killing baddies using either your sword or fireball-thingys you find as you play. One nice feature is the fact that your enemies don't all attack you at once--most stay put until you get close, giving you a chance to spot them. There are several flying/sneak attack foes which are more challenging to beat.About every third level is a "boss" level where you have to defeat someone or something appproximately ten times your size--the trick seems to be to find the one spot on the foe that takes damage when you hit it (head, waist, knees, etc.) and duck a lot. What I enjoyed most about the game was finding the hidden portals and alternate routes to the end of a level. What I enjoyed least was the fact that save codes weren't given after every level, so if you got through a tough level but then died in the next, you had to do both all over again...*groan*Overall I'd say it was a good game, but I was able to beat it in a matter of days, and once I had done that and discovered all the hidden stuff, there wasn't much point in playing anymore.I'd definitely recommend playing it, because it was a lot of fun the first time through, but I'd advise renting or borrowing it first, to see if you like it enough to want to own it long-term.

5-0 out of 5 stars A great game!
This is a great game! The graphics on this game were really good for being a game boy game. The music is excellent. From the first time you hear the title theme, you Know you're in for a wild ride. The controlls on this game are on the mark and nothing short of perfect. The only thing that may be bad (some like this) is that it is very challenging. Some people like hwne the game cannot be beaten easily. This game is one of those games. But, you have the classic Battletoad stages. Racing, beating, dodging and flying. This will all keep you entertained for hours.

3-0 out of 5 stars a difficult game
For the first time player, battletoads seems like a "ninja turtles beat em up" game but anyone who plays this will soon find that it is rather different. There are two reasons why I give this game a 3 out of 5 star rating: #1- Even though Battletoads is challenging to begin with, some parts of the game are just flat annoying! #2- The last level is nearly impossible to beat. Overall most people will enjoy Battletoads except for those who hate any kind of challenging games. ... Read more

Editorial Review

Wings of Fury is a terrific action game that puts you inthe cockpit of a WWII Wildcat fighter-bomber, where you'll pound targetsand engage in dogfights from a side-scrolling perspective using avariety of weapons.

Most side-scrollers focus on furious action rather than aiming toaccurately recreating real-world combat. Wings of Fury injects atleast some realism into the mix, forcing users to think about thingslike gravity and maneuvering time. Bombing requires a greatunderstanding of angles and relative speeds. You even have to build upspeed to take off from your carrier. In addition, you must occasionallyland for repairs.

The color graphics are good, especially considering this game isbackward-compatible with older black-and-white Game Boys. The animationof the Wildcat is especially impressive, allowing for precise divingattacks. --T. Byrl Baker

3-0 out of 5 stars Not a bad port from the computer game version
Wings of Fury was one of my favorite games to play on the Apple IIgs. It had killer graphics and animation for its time, and I loved its physics model and your ability to attack anything (including your own carrier ifyou wanted to).

The color gameboy version of Wings of Fury is somewhatdifferent, and a little disappointing. The physics model is muchsimplified, and you almost never stall or have trouble taking off orlanding. In order to maintain a more tame video game rating, they removedthe enemy foot soldiers you used to strafe with such satisfaction with asingle jeep that re-arms blown up turrets. The AI has been dumbed down aswell, and dogfights with enemy planes don't have the same thrill they didon a green Apple II monitor.

They did add a few neat maneuvers, such asa barrel roll and split-s, but they are mostly eye candy and not thatuseful. If you can find this game for cheap and want to re-live (sort-of)the old computer gaming experience, I'd recommend it.

5-0 out of 5 stars yes!
Very good, very realistic, with lots of challenging levels. But it is murder on your left thumb!

3-0 out of 5 stars Think it should be better
This game is ok. You must understand that this isn't like Playstation or 64. the graphics are o.k., but not great. You are in a view that is beside the plane. It is o.k. If you have kids that like planes, you might be ableto find a better one but that is really just my opinion. If you do look fora differant one, may I suggest Top Gun. It is old but very good. Thank you.

5-0 out of 5 stars Good Game
This game is preety good.It would probably be better if it was a Gameboy Color only game. You go through 15 levels using dive-bombing, dogfighting, and torpedo-bombing skills. You control the F6F in the third person view,so if you don't like to be in the cockpit of the plane, you might not likethe game too much, though I liked it.

4-0 out of 5 stars Urban Combat on the go
This game is very fun for the military-minded person. The graphics are amazing, and give you a sense that youre in the ruined buildings in Urban cites in other countries. The missions are slow, and each moves has to be planned. You cant jump in because you'll hear a scream and watch your operative get hit by a sniper's bullet. The game all-in all has a very great story. I played this game on a...in total..20+ hour trip back and forth and it has entertained me 2000+ feet in the air :)

If you like guns, the military, or strategic combat, this is the game for you. No music obviously, a clancy game, but a fun game once you master it and get past the first level. The controls are AMAZING and its just amazing how quick the button combos are and how eaisly you can stage complex assaults. Try this: blow down a door with a shotgun with guy, throw a flashbang with another, and move in to clear the room all under seconds with a total of 5 buttons on a screen few inches large? Thats a work of art.

5-0 out of 5 stars rogue spear is a lot of fun
This is one fun game! Counterterrorism games are often repetitous and boring but this one is so much better. You have a team of four combat speacialists and you lead them into close quarters combat engagements to rescue hostages, defuse bombs, install cameras, and much more. You have the option of choosing one or more of th following types of soldiers: assault- the basic assault commando with automatic weapons designed for CQB (close quarters battle) and rescue ops, the demolition speacialist- with a giant bazzoka type gun that kills in one hit but reloads slowly and has a suprisingly small clip. The sniper speacialist is good for two things. 1. checking out a room ahead for guards, and 2. eliminating single patrollers and carries a high-powered sniper rifle with fairly accurate aiming, and finally recon- helps you track enemies on the radar and backup fighter with their MP-5's.the only problem is the stealth missions, i have beaten the game once but forgot how to do mission number 5...check this game out, its really great.

5-0 out of 5 stars Great Strategy Game, but...
This game is good and all, but the bad part is how I can't beat the 9th level. I only rated 5 stars just because it was fun for the last 8 levels. The 9th level is another recon mission. Level 5 was hard enough, but this one takes it way too far! Overall, though, this game is cool. ... Read more

Editorial Review

Rainbow Six is a surprisingly faithful conversion of thepopular covert-ops simulator for the PC, PlayStation, and Dreamcast--andthat might be its biggest fault. The little Game Boy Color handheld justisn't suited for the detailed planning phase each mission requires, andit doesn't have the horsepower to make the game's enemies challenging atall.

All of the missions from the other games are re-created here, as are thescreens where you select and outfit your team members. It can take quitesome time to meticulously plan the routes you want team members to takeduring the actual mission, which makes it all the more frustrating oncethey get stuck before reaching the end of the route. This happens fartoo often, and most of the time we just ran through the levels with acharacter we were controlling directly and capped all the terroristsmanually.

This is made easier than it should be by the fact that enemies arealways visible, regardless of the number of walls between them and yourteam members. Ambushes are ridiculously easy to set up because of this, and the game loses much of tension found in other versions as a result. This isn't a completely terrible conversion of Rainbow Six, butsimilar games like Metal Gear Solid are much less tedious and alot more fun. --T. Byrl Baker

Pros:

  • A solid story line taken directly from the original version of thegame
  • Lots of missions, characters, and action
Cons:
  • The ability to see enemies at all times removes much of the tensionthat makes the original version so great

4-0 out of 5 stars dark but fun
The game is pretty fun but you have to have perfect light to see it well enough to play right. Otherwise it has good challenge I don't like how your team and the hostages get stuck alot ,but it is a good game for a trip or when your bored would not sit and play all of the time.

2-0 out of 5 stars Not That Great...buy something else.
The game is really easy. The bad guys can shoot worth crap and the same goes for your teammates. Your teammates and hostages get stuck alot during the game. I found the planning stage to be hard to control and hard to get the way points where they should be. Plus there are weapons in the game that you could never use...like breaching charges and lockpicks...since there are no doors that where locked...and they automatically open when you walk into them. I'm a big fan of the origional PC game but this was a dissapointment for me.

1-0 out of 5 stars Rainbow Six
The fun was over when I turned the game on. Dismal graphics, poor on screen instructions, and bad design. If this were the only game out for Gameboy, well I'd take up the yo-yo.

4-0 out of 5 stars Pretty good
Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Fall of the Foot Clan stays true to the once popular cartoon series and comic books. Each of the turtles are playable and all of their major enemies have been included. Increasing your life meter can be done by grabbing the turtles' favorite food, pizza. Gameplay is better than average. Each turtle has their appropriate weapon. Every weapon has the same power so the longer weapons of Leonardo and Donatello are the most useful. One button is used for attack and the other for jumping. Jumping seems a bit tight, meaning you can't get too far on a jump. Jumps are best used to go straight up to avoid enemies or making a hop on to the next step up. One other attack is done by crouching and pressing the attack button. This will throw a shuriken. Levels are broken down into stages. When you lose a turtle on a level and have others left you will be brought back to the beginning of the stage you were last on. No continues are offered so you will have to make it through without losing all 4 turtles. Before each level or when a turtle goes down you have the option of selecting another. It is probably best to begin the game with either Raphael or Michaelangelo so you can have the guys with longer weapons for the more difficult levels.
Many small enemies have been created for the game. Your majority of attackers though are from the television series and comic books. Those would be the Foot Soldiers and the Mousers. Most can be defeated with one hit so the challenge should not be too difficult. The whole game takes place while you progress to the right. Graphics look really good. Level backgrounds are detailed enough to give you an impression of where you are. Characters all look like themselves. The turtles can only be identified form each other by their weapons. Sounds are okay but all of your attacks sound the same. You can't hear a difference between a katana blade and a bo staff. If you are a fan of the turtles then Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Fall of the Foot Clan should not disappoint you. For those who don't care for the turtles then this game doesn't offer anyhting you can't find somewhere else. As far as action games go this one is not too different from the majority.

4-0 out of 5 stars Simple Yet Addictive
Fall of the Foot Clan is a side-scroller in its most basic and simple form: this can be a good thing or a bad thing. Unless you have never played a video game before in your life, there will be little if any difficulty completing this one. There are five levels, four turtles, three bonus games, and a handful of enemies. Let me break it down like this:
Graphics: 5 of 10
Gameplay: 4 of 10
Sound: 7 of 10
Innovation: 1 of 10
Storyline: 2 of 10
Fun: 9 of 10
+ familiar characters, nice music (especially in level 5), cartoony graphics, mini-games
- too easy, no female turtle (no Venus), April is not playable, turtles walk slowly

4-0 out of 5 stars Two hours to kill?
This is a great game, nice big graphics for Gameboy. There are only four or five levels and barely any foot soldiers. You start out each level by picking a turtle to play as, if they die, then you pick another. Its not all that challenging, and it can probably be beaten in a day or a week. The graphics are a bit bland, because it came out so early in Gameboy's history. Its more like black on white, no gray.

5-0 out of 5 stars Still a classic
I played this game as a young child, and 7 years later it still holds a special place for me. The music is awesome, and the enemies, while slightly repetitive, were nonetheless a good challenge at times. Two features I disliked about it were the option to skip to any level at the beginning (providing no satisfaction unless you started from level 1) and the scarcity of levels. If Konami added maybe 3 or 4 more levels to this game, it would surely be one of the greats.

3-0 out of 5 stars TURTLE POWER!
THE FALL OF THE FOOT CLAN, IS NOT A BAD GAME AT ALL. BUT WHAT I DON'T LIKE ABOUT IT IS THAT YOU'RE ABLE TO SKIP TO ANY LEVEL YOU WANT FROM THE BEGINING. I THINK THAT S****. BUT OVERALL IT'S A FUN GAME TO PLAY WITH NICEGRAPHICS. IT CAN ALSO BE AN EASY GAME TO BEAT AS WELL. YOUR BEST BET IS TOGET ANOTHER GAME MORE LONGER. BUT IF YA INTO QUICK GAMES, WELL THIS GAMEWILL BE FOR YOU TO CHOOSE. IT'S NOT A BORING GAME. IT'S A COOL GAME TOPLAY. ... Read more

5-0 out of 5 stars Cool game with lots of hard levels
I really enjoyed this game. There is lots of action and many different complex levels. Most of the time you play as Tommy, but occasionally you can play as Phil or Lil or Chuckie or someone else. I am not a real fan of the Rugrats, but this game ... was lots of fun. On most of the levels, you must collect a certain number of toys that you find lying around and bring them all to Goal without crashing into any monsters or anything that will harm you. If you do, then you lose all your toys. Sometimes, there are way too many toys lying around and then you can collect the extras for points. Take my advice and get this game.

1-0 out of 5 stars stupid game!
don't waste your money on this game! I love the rugrats but can not stand this game. I am 11 and can't get past level 2! It doesn't have a thing to do with the movie or the show. there is something on the second level that you have to find, but i can't find it. and you can't save it, like donkey kong or toy story racing for game boy color. I recomend that you should get tiny toons: babs big break. that is a really fun game. on this game, you can't choose your character or anything. I don't recomend it for any one who is under 14 or who hates frusterating games.

5-0 out of 5 stars this game is great!
This game is really fun it has all those cute babies we know and love and its really exciting i think anyone that owns a gameboy should own this game. ... Read more

4-0 out of 5 stars Classic
I used to have a really old Gameboy, those big, huge gray ones. This was the first game I got for myself. The thing that I think is messed up is the fact that you can't save the game, so I never get to start off were I left off. I suggest this game to kids who are just starting playing Gameboy.

4-0 out of 5 stars Great game for little kids!
I bought this game for my 4 year old and she loves it. It took her a little practice but she can finally play a game and not get annoyed. ... Read more

1-0 out of 5 stars Ultimate? Paintball
Let me start out by saying that this game SUCKS.This game is not only easy, but it isn't paintball.sure you shoot a paintball marker at people in camo, But it takes like 20 hits for you to lose a life, and you have like 5 lives. If they included real name paintball markers in this game I would have been a little more happy with this game. I have been playing paintball for a while, I know almost everything about the sport and I know that this game sucks. If you want to buy it than go to the gamestop i sold it at for $5.00, it's definately not worth the $17.

1-0 out of 5 stars Paintball has never been this bad
Paintball is the perfect idea for a video game, especially on a handheld system, since it might not be enough to sustain an entire console game. Its too bad it turned out to be this lackluster excuse for capture the flag with paintball guns. Terrible controls, monotonous and endless gameplay, and no susprises at all. It could have been a decent handheld first-person-shooter, but instead its a game that is messier than the real sport of paintball. - Kit Oxton

1-0 out of 5 stars no fun at all
I was very dissapointed with this game, it is very repetitive and it just isn't any fun.

5-0 out of 5 stars Action Packed
I loved this game. It is full of action. It is a great game for people who love paintball. I don't recommend this to inexperienced gamers. ... Read more

1-0 out of 5 stars Hmm not so good
This game is not the best game I've played.
first off, the characters move sooo slow.Secondly the backround music is annoying.Thirdly it was easy to beat (for an amateur gamer as myself). The plot is kind of bland might I add.
If you are to get a game, then I don't recommend this one.Or hey even better -- buy a book instead, it's better for you to read.

1-0 out of 5 stars IT WAS BAD
I'm 12 and I got it when I was 10 and still to this day I can't get pass ANYTHING!! It is way to hard. You can't get pass anything.Every time you try you just end up dieing. If you just like doing the same thing over and over again then its for you, but if you like to get to the next leavle or smothing then its not even worth buying. The grapics arn't even that great.I would give it a 1/2 rating if I could maby even lower. It should at least be for a 11 year old or older not no 6 year old and younger.

3-0 out of 5 stars Animaniacs r coo!
I luv the animaniacs, but one of the levels I run into in this game is like impossible to get passed cuz theres thins thing in the way, so it like gets so boring to play it over and over. So it really isn't that great of a game.

3-0 out of 5 stars OK
For the fist time you play you would like it but gets boring more and more you play it . ... Read more

worth every penny but worth the buy very challenging puzzle game very cute best puzzle game i own for tbe gbc system

1-0 out of 5 stars HORRIBLE!!!
I utterly HATED this game! I thought it was going to be really good, since a few people thought it was a decent game. Well, I was WRONG! It has HORRIBLE graphics and I cant seem to progress in the game. I am really good at video games, and I can't seem to play this well; there are tooooo many things and places to go at once. I like it when you have maybe 2 to 4 options tops into going to a new room or place but this game has like 20 options in one place! I hate that! I am very disappointed; would never recommend this game for anybody, especially for little kids; it would be tooo hard for them.

5-0 out of 5 stars Yeah, Baby!
This is a great game to play for ages 11-16!
I admit that it is a little hard to controll at first, but it does get easier with practise!
It is very simplistic and easy to understand.
There are four gobbo tribes, and in each tribe there are some that need help with mini tasks like:
- finding 5 treasure chests in a mine shaft
- rescuing a bird from a thief
- winning a boat race!
hours, and I mean hours of fun!

2-0 out of 5 stars How do you FINISH it???
I got this game over 2 years ago-and I haven't finished it yet. You ask me why? In the 3rd world, there is a level that comes to a dead end, or seems to. I just can't figure it out. The first levels are fun and Croc is really cute, but that one level is completely weird. If you are an expert gamer, try it and tell me how to finish it! But if you aren't an expert, I don't recommend it.

4-0 out of 5 stars not very exciting
i thought the game was boring but if you like zelda its great
the first time i played it i was bored if i could return i wouldi didnt really get very far in the game so maybe theres more to it i dont know i thought it was boring and it wasnt adventourus ... Read more
