First of all, there is Bruce Campbell. He, friends, makes this game worth playing with his awesome voice acting, full of hilarious lines. Then, the graphics. The graphics are awesome! See, in Resident Evil, all scenaries are static, no movement. Here at Hail to the King, trees move, the fog moves.. I mean, every single room has movement, so the graphics are way best than average PSOne games. The CGs are awesome, one of the best you can find on PSOne, and Ash looks fine too. There are good varieties of enemies, good variety of scenarios (including fan's favorite ones like the Cabin, the Bridge...) the bosses are cool and the game, even though difficult, is totally possible to beat without GameShark if you train a little.

This game is like Mister Mosquito for the Playstation 2.True, the game has its faults, but the funny and excellent gameplay outweighs its minor faults. My last hope: Please, please revive Tiny Tank for the Playstation 2!

That's all fine and dandy, but the gameplay is too difficult. The game uses all the buttons, PLUS the buttons on the analog controllers too. It's very awkward overall. To run, you have to hold in the left controls while pushing forward or backward or whatever. To aim the gun, you have to use your right hand for both aiming and shooting (I usually throw my left thumb on the control to aim, because doing it with your right feels so odd, and it's nearly impossible to land on anyone.) Easy mode comes into play here, because I think it aims for you a bit.Either way, aiming is too hard to make it a great game.Even walking is a challenge sometimes, because you have so many different controls and buttons you have to use. The missions I have played so far are fairly easy in the lowest setting (easy mode), and you get all 3 guys to play with, but like other reviews have mentioned, the buildings are boring. There is barely any furniture in any of them, and they all look fairly the same. On the issue of the interaction with others in the game...it's rather odd.The ambassador in the first mission is standing in the middle of a room, but the terrorists couldn't find him? Also, the terrorists are very bad aims (again, in easy mode)...they'll take 10 shots before they even hit you, and it might take you ten shots just to aim the controls without going past them and actually take them down.Maybe I haven't had enough experience with the controls and it gets easier, but I doubt it gets easy enough where it feels normal. Not bashing the game, because so far, I like it. It's enjoyable, and it's nice that you can select a difficulty level, and it's an interesting concept overall. With better controls and more depth and work done on each environment, this game could have been a lot better.I like it enough tho, and I'll keep playing till I beat it or get tired of it.

The game's cartoony look and feelcertainly add to the appeal, a kind of disneyish look (remember the old TVshow Tail Spin?) that will certainly appeal to the younger crowd.Unfortunately this very same look and feel will certainly turn away manymany older players. The game certainly lacks the big-eyed-small-nose lookthat many Japanese anime characters have (Did you know that look actuallyoriginated here in the States?). I always wished that game companiestook care with the game play on games like this. For someone like myself(who can blow through Half-Life in less than an hour on the hard setting.)found this game a bit easy. However, I noticed that even though the gameplay was too easy it was also too inconsistent. Getting and using the jetpack would frustrate almost any younger player. (How many know to look forthe shadow?) fighting some of the bosses would frustrate a few as well. Notexactly a perfect learning curve. And why do certain things hurt you, likethe little auto's driving around? The main character walks around in a bigrobot' suit. A little odd. Despite it's drawbacks, I figure this gamewill be a nice little sleeper title with a small but dedicated following(any one remember Kid Chameleon?) In about five or ten years, many kidstoday will be scrounging auctions sites for this title. Trying to grab alittle bit of their child hood back. ... Read more

Editorial Review As in other Capcom games, the characters in JoJo's can pull offsupercombos that are easy to execute, devastating, and often hilarious. Inone case,a belly dancer can summon a tidal wave of '57 Chevy cars to knock herfoe on hisback. Together with their Stands, characters can even double-teamopponents,racking up lots of hits with relatively little effort. Each fighter has his or her own back-story culled from the animeseries, and a super story mode forces players to switch characters as the plotunfolds. While JoJo's might not have the depth of other Capcom games, itcertainlymakes up for its simplicity with an unmistakably odd and fast-pacedstyle.--Robb Guido Pros: Features Reviews (4)
Although the PlayStation port doesn't bundle as much animation as the arcade version, its own electrical speed is well-above the standard.Full of dashing fury, each fighter has their special and signature moves.Formulated in the ironclad core of 2D engagement, the newest addition to the fighting field is an element called Stance.A Stance is a character's transformation into a more superior warrior.Elevated with raw strength, enhanced blocking, and the unlocking of new combat moves, the activation of a Stance will quickly enfeeble challengers.Shown as a meter, if an opponent should successfully pounce the player while on Stance, a fraction of the bar will disband. When empty, the player will be forced into a neutralized state, allowing the challenger to freely lash a ferocity of attacks.Likewise, Jojo's Bizarre Adventure presents modes ranging from Arcade, Versus, and an in-depth Story Mode.Jam-packed with one-on-one brawling, the breakneck action revolves in an intensity similar to the arcade. The graphical paste for the PlayStation mirrors an animated fighting scene. Several moves spectacularly blast firepower on the screen. The coloring-scheme goes extremely well with the comely characters.Guilty Gears, a thundering fast and profound fighter, has met its match. However, on the musical plane, the game abates with the existence of shoddy retro Pop.The music, ensuing as a mental distraction, should've been a slashing of brutal guitars and deafening drumming.Enjoying the game, my CD player's volume maximized with real, slamming music. To its closing stages, fighter fans will genuinely discover that Jojo's Bizarre Adventure is an irresistible escape to hand-to-hand mayhem.Thinning out the classical fighting mechanics, the Replay Value has hard-wearing measurements. However, like all Fighters, once a more highly developed one disburses, the hankering for the previously played game is left with a frosting ofdust. After purchasing Marvel Vs. Capcom 2 for the Dreamcast, I haven't buried myself into Jojo's Bizarre Adventure for quite some time, but will hold it in high esteem.
Cons:The stands should be better in color

Then, as if to say "oh, you think THAT'S somethin'..." Capcom released megaman legends 2 and minds burned 'round the world.Megaman legends embodies all that is the megaman series, in all it's 3-D glory MML2 is one of the few games to deliver a good story, good graphics (for it's time, at least) and great control.megaman moves seemlessly, strafes, fires, and jumps.and it all seems natural.you use the control stick/pad to move, and the shoulder buttons to turn.it's a tad tedious at first, but it really works.you'll forget you ever said "that's the craziest control scheme ever!" now I know you're thinking "but Ginzo, i'm a hardcore megaman fan at heart, and seeing the blue bomber in 3-D makes me wanna puke my guts out."Well, even for you, mister hardcore megaman-er, this is a great game.I reccomend this to anyone who likes non-stop 3-D run-and-gun megaman action. All my five are belong to this.

Amazon.com Review As you have probably guessed from the Disney logo on the front of the packaging,Dinosaur is an action-adventure that is based on the Disney animatedfeature film of the same name. The plot and dialogue of Dinosaur isirritating, but not as much as the awkward control and the substandard graphics. The game puts you in control of three characters: Aladar, a large iguanodon whorelies on his swift charge and tail slap; Zini, a lemur who can jump and runvery fast; and Flia, a pteranodon who can fly and glide through levels and isalso the master of a swoop attack. All of the prehistoric beasts' skills aredesigned to complement each other. As you make your way through the game, youmust use their skills in tandem to traverse the game's various stages. ThePlayStation controller's shoulder buttons allow you to switch betweencharacters. Sandbox Studios, the game-design firm that developed Dinosaur for DisneyInteractive, has not done this license justice. The environments are large, butextremely bland and unattractive, further evidence of the game's poor graphicsand overall rushed feel. --Todd Mowatt Pros: Features Reviews (8)

The upside - . . .Wait, what upside? The downside - About everything. If you are thinking of buying the game, do yourself a favor and rent it first. You might just kick yourself about it later.
Still, if you like first person shooters and military games like the Medal of Honor series, it's worth the five bucks to get this game.I have all of the Spec Ops ps1 games and they are fun...not great but if you're on a tight budget, it makes for good entertainment ... Read more
