5-0 out of 5 stars The Future is NOW!!!
I just picked up Anti-Grav for the PS2/Eyetoy. Let me say that this title is an absolute must-buy for any fans of futuristic hover games (like WipeOut or Trickstyle) or if you like the Eyetoy. This is one of the most innovative games ever made for any system. Basically, you use your body to play the game. No controller at all. So you lean right to steer right, duck and jump in real life and the character mimicks your actions. It not only works as advertised, but is incredibly fun too. The experience is similar to that Sega skateboard game called Top Skater that was in the arcades a few years back. There have been many (unsuccessful) attemps to use alternate control schemes but have generally been bulky and not very response. This one actually works!

In terms of gameplay, you have a choice of at least 6 different characters, different boards/costumes, something like 5 levels and a whole bunch of tricks you can pull off. The graphics are good, nothing spectacular, but they work. The game is done by the same team that did Frequency so you can expect some trippy color trails and things like that. The sound track is fast and hard, lots of electronic, breakbeat infused metal, drum & bass, etc. Similar soundtrack to WipeOut. Just got the game today, so I can't say how long it is, but there seem to be extras and different modes to beat.

All in all, Anti-Grav is a welcome addition to my PS2 collection and I would recommend this game to any hardcore gamer looking for a more immersive experience. An hour on this game is actually a workout! I had to take a few breaks and managed to break a sweat! I wasn't too interested in the Eyetoy until I heard about this product. It truely utilizes the technology to do something innovative and it is well worth the $50 just to see for yourself what it is like.

4-0 out of 5 stars pretty fun game
Basically, if you want a game that gets you off your feet, this is the best thats out there. Its much better than EyeToy Play.Only drawback is that you need good lighting to play.

5-0 out of 5 stars for good and for awesome
This is a really awesome game.

The camera tracks your head and arms, causing the character on the screen to move his/her arms and lean and crouch and jump.
It is similar to the camera games found in museums but works much better because you can calibrate the camera to the correct height.

In order to play this game, you should be in a bright room (but not with the light behind you) and have good contrast against the wall. You may need a pair of red or brightly colored gloves or socks on your hands to help the camera track your arms and tell them apart from your head. If the lighting or contrast is not good your character may randomly wave its arms or jump when you put your hand up. Also you can not have anything moving behind you, and must have enough space behind the TV.

The game is about hoverboarding. There are four types of movement:
1. Ground- you are on the ground and can pick up power-ups and fire your turbo
2. Jump- you've gone off a ramp and can do tricks in the air to get points
3. Rail- you stick to a rail, catch things with your arms that speed you up, and go under and over obstacles
4. Flight- You fly through rings, probably the fastest way to travel

You can play as a race or to earn points, and you can unlock new levels after beating the newest one. Multiplayer is the same but taking turns and comparing scores.

It comes with an Eyetoy. If you want an Eyetoy I reccomend getting Antigrav.

Also you can get a decent workout out of this game.

4-0 out of 5 stars Great Game - I want to buy it without the camera - HELP!
I already own the eye toy camera because it came with "Eye Toy Play".We had a chance to play Antigrav and it was a blast.I just want to buy the game but not the whole camera set again.

Can anyone help?

Thanks

1-0 out of 5 stars EyeTOY? I think not!
Eye Toy anti grav was possibly the worst game I have ever bought! There was some complete false advertising too. The commercials said you could walk around the house and outside and it would still follow you. It definitely doesnt do that! It does just about everything but that. It cahnns you out of 50 bucks it barely works without the right lighting, and can hardly follow your body movement. The first eyetoy and eye toy groove were much better, if you are looking for a good game buy one of those not eye toy anti grav. I sure wish i didn't ... Read more

4-0 out of 5 stars Lizard and Black Cat
I have been playing this game for days straight and I have to say it is well made. The swinging and diving is the best part.

Some things that were a bummer is that Lizard IS NOT in the game. One of the help markers says that it is just a rumor and not true. And I know that this is not in the comic but I wanted Spiderman to begin dating Black Cat and dump his other girlfriend. Lol. Another bummer is I wish spiderman could swim. I mean anyone really could learn to swim and if you were a hero you should. Lastly the fact that you can't get to the other island from the bridge.

5-0 out of 5 stars Very high-quality game
This is one of my favourite games ever.

It's not quite perfect, though (might as well start with the cons so I can end on a good note). For one thing, while the action graphics (as in, while you are actually playing the game) are superb, for some reason the cut-scene graphics are horrible. Characters are square-looking, glitchy (Peter Parker shakes uncontrollably whenever he makes a hand gesture), poorly defined and generally irritating to look at. Also, the anonymous characters' (random passersby, etc.) voice dubs are rather annoying as well.

Apart from that, however, I have to say I love this game. Its best aspects are definetely the controls and camera angles. The controls are a bit complicated at first (although I've seen worse), but there is a clear tutorial at the beginning of the game and, once you get the hang of it, it's smoooooooth sailing. Actually, the basic controls are pretty easy, it's up to you if you want to learn the combos and the more fancy tricks. Spider-man's movements are incredibly fluid and pleasant to look at and New York City has been recreated in very great detail. The game has the same format as Grand Theft Auto, which means you can take breaks in between missions and just explore the city and do smaller missions or just swing around as much as you like. And the camera angles are very well-placed, which makes this game a real visual treat (apart from the cut-scenes): you'll be impressed by views of the sun setting over the Hudson river, seen from the top of the Empire STate Building - and then, jump and stop yourself at the last minute and see if your head doesn't spin and your doesn't heart race just a little... That alone is worth the price of the game.

Also, the dubbing by Tobey Maguire et al. is a nice touch and the dialogue isn't too bad (although they could have chosen a less used line than "He did kill my father, someday I'll get him for it, too." - but hey, let's not nit-pick) and the narrator's snide comments to the gamer are pretty funny and set a good atmosphere. There are tips and challenges scattered all over the city, too, in case you want a change of pace.

I haven't finished this game yet (I love video games, yet I'm really quite bad at them). I'm having some trouble with a particular mission, but I don't think this game is that difficult, it's a matter of practice. At any rate, it's a LOT of fun!

5-0 out of 5 stars Hmm. Interesting.
Simple as this:

Buy it for the city-slingin'-action

It's amazing..

The story and acting is quite lame .. but its worth the money if you can get it for a few bucks.

It may be repetitive ( like most games ) but its worth the money

5-0 out of 5 stars spidey 2 rocks!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
this game is the best! you can free roam almost very thing. but i still think this game could be better.the game is VERY easy. one thing, if you played the first game... the grafics in GAME PLAY seemded better. like if there was a movie, the game would look like that the whole time. not in this.the movies are much beter than in the first game.but the look of spider-man in game play sucks.first of all, he looks skinny.the spider on this chest look a little bit weird.it's only day time or night. IT NEVER RAINS OR SNOWs!the free roaming is very fun unlike the first game with swinging on air.the colors could be better. and there's one place you can't go...across a brigde. the mouths of the characters DON'T move in missions. but still, the new added fight combos are the BEST!!!!!DOC OCK is much better than the green goblin, he's harder to beat too.this is probably the BEST game for spider-man there ever was!

5-0 out of 5 stars LIZARD??? Where is tha lizard!
OK so on the game overview right here on amazon it says that Lizard is a bad guy in tha game. He is not there! BUT a lot of other sites say that too AND in the battle arena level there are LIZARDs to fight! PLUS a hint marker actuallly hints that he is in the sewer! Lizard is in this game but WHERE!? someone please pot a review confirming and saying where to find this fool!!! Oh yeah and this game is very good very fun lots of stuff to do gets old fast though so I need the lizard!! ... Read more

3-0 out of 5 stars Fun Fun Fun the first couple of times, but then...
Now believe me. This game was just pure fun the first couple of times of playing it. Especially with friends. Everything seemed to be perfect. The mic worked just fine and so did everything else. I just had a blast.
But after you beat the game it just seems to become a little less fun everytime you play it more. I mean the highest score you can get it 50,000. And I always want to beat that score but the problem is that is the highest score you can get. So I don't really have anything to look forward to anymore either. I have everything unlocked as well. So what now. Looks like I will have to wait for the 4th installment. Because I'm afraid that if I play this game a couple more times I will begin to hate it.
Which will not be good.
So my final judgementis that this game is worth a rent. I mean you could buy it too but the fun factor will dissapear as soon as you have everything unlocked. But it is still good for parties.
Final Grade: C- (It's better than the second but still needs alot more improvements)

3-0 out of 5 stars MICROPHONE PROBLEMS
AS ONE OF THE EARLIER REVIEWS MENTIONED, THE SET I RECEIVED ONLY CAME WITH ONE MICROPHONE. IN ADDITION, AFTER A COUPLE OF DAYS OF USE, THE MICROPHONE KEPT CUTTING OUT. MY CURRENT EXPERIENCE WITH LOGITECH AND TARGET.COM TO REPLACE MY MIKE HAS BEEN LESS THAN SUCCESSFUL. I HAVE HEARD OTHERS HAVE HAD SIMILIAR MICROPHONE EXPERIENCES.

5-0 out of 5 stars My husband actually has to share his ps2 now!
I've never been interested in playing games on my husband's ps2 until he bought Karaoke Revolutions 2 & 3 for me.Along with a friend and my 2.5 year old daughter, we play this game for hours and have such a great time!
I can't wait for another KR to come out, and still need to purchase #1.
This game will actually improve your singing ability, give you hours of fun and laughter, and entertain your friends and family.
:)

5-0 out of 5 stars I had a great experience
At first i saw the PS2 only for my little brother's action games, and I thought it was unfair that only he would have games, but when we got the Karaoke Revolution 3, we (my sister, my parents and me) felt that we could also use it too. I like it a lot because it has songs i love, it has classicals, and it has songs i've never heard. The best part is hearing everyone try to reach the tones and failing, it is something you can do with your family and friends because there is music for all ages and all genders.
I LOVED IT; AND SO DID MY FAMILY

5-0 out of 5 stars Great Game, please update description!
Karaoke Revolution 3 is a great game and worth every penny! It's the best KR yet now that we can sing duets.Versions 2 and 1 are also wonderful and my favorites ever. But, there are 3 versions of version 3.One with no mic, one with a headset mic (which is too small for most adults and has a mic that doesn't always pick up your singing), and another version that comes with the handheld mic.GET THE ONE WITH THE HANDHELD!

If you want another Mic, additional handheld mics are available here on line.I've never seen them in a store, so you might as well get it at the same time.It will also work with any Logiteck headset USB mic or the headset mic that comes with SOCOM. (It will not work with the mic from the Japanese version -and the other way around- and it also will not work with the UK Singstar Mic.) ... Read more

Amazon.com Review

Set in the interval between The Phantom Menace and Attack of the Clones, this first-person adventure lets you step into the role of the galaxy's most heavily armed bounty hunter, Jango Fett, as you track a renegade Jedi across the galaxy, collecting information (and bounties) along the way.

In addition to Jango's trademark dual blaster pistols, your armor bristles with gadgets and weaponry: darts, flamethrower, blowtorch, scanner, cable snare, and--of course--a missile-launching jetpack. Use this arsenal to battle hordes of uncooperative guards, fend off rival bounty hunters, scale precipitous skyscrapers, and capture fugitives--dead or alive. The basic controls are surprisingly easy to master, and you've got enough armament at your disposal to fight your way out of almost any situation. Still, some finesse is required: as fun as it is to walk into a room and blast everything in sight (and it is fun--especially when you're the one wearing the jetpack), you may discover when the smoke clears that the guy you just fried was worth twice as much alive. Oh well...

The complex storyline is revealed by extended cutscenes that let you rest your thumbs while Jango follows up the next lead. (Star Wars fans will appreciate the quality and detail of these scenes, as well as the fidelity of the story arc--namely how Jango is chosen as the model for the clone troopers in Episode II.) And anyone familiar with the Lucas Arts suite of games will not be disappointed by the superior graphics, music, sound effects, and fully realized characters and locations. The pace of the game is up to you: methodically seek out the secrets of each level, or ruthlessly blast your way to the big payoff. --Maile Bohlmann

Pros:

  • Impressive graphics and rich detail
  • Excellent scripting and voicing
  • Nice balance between action and strategy
  • Controller setup is intuitive and easy to learn

Cons:

  • Long stretches between save points
  • Climbing sequences can become redundant
  • Weapons must be holstered to use scanner, leaving you vulnerable

4-0 out of 5 stars pretty good game
When you first start to play this game, you'll be amazed on how different is. Instead of running around with a lightsaber slashing people in half, this game lets you pulverize people with pistols, missiles, grenades, and an assortment of deadly weapons. It will provide countless entertainment(like watching people run around on fire) along with fustrating puzzles(it takes a long time to find out what to do).

A real downside of the game is the weapon system. you get cool weapons, but you mainly ues the pistols for the entire game. Also, some of the graphics are kinda bad.I remember I missed a guy with a sniper rifle and the game count it as a hit....wich was good. The extra bounty system is pretty cool, but it really doesn't affect the game that much.

Overall, it is a game that is worth your money.

5-0 out of 5 stars Oh how I wish for a sequel to this awesome game!
This was the second game I ever got for PS2 and I just love it. I still go back to it after several years for nothing more than the thrills and good times it has to offer. Bounty Hunter isn't perfect but it is one of the better Star Wars games I've played and its a great third person shooter. I remember how much the graphics, cutscenes, effects, sound, and dialog blew me away a couple years ago and all I can do today is appreciate all these things more. Every time I play the game (I've played it a lot) I find new things to mess around with, whether it be small rodent creatures to blast or secret areas containing heavy weapons. The worlds are immerse with detail and most are actually almost beautiful. The explosions and laser blasts that fill the levels all look great, as do the characters, who's lypsyncing and motions are excellently executed. The action gameplay is fast paced with a very high frame rate. The sound design sounds as though it was taken directly from a Star Wars film. And most of all, the story is very entertaining, from your first encounter with the villanous scum Meeko, to your stealing of Slave 1 from an astroid prision, to meeting Tyranus. The story takes you all around the galaxy and be prepared to meet up with some familiar characters such as Zam Weesel. Many have complained about the game's repetetivness and lousy camera and I will admit that the camera tends to work a little strangly at times, but it certainly can be controled and is not something to get all worked up over. Bounty Hunter's action has never boared me and I find it's controls to be intruative and easy to use. Star Wars Bounty Huter is an excellent game with high production values and many good things going for it, I truely hope Lucas Arts releases a sequel for it because it is one of the best games I have ever played. Thanks for reading.

4-0 out of 5 stars Overall? Mediocre.
I got thorough this game in a short while considering how long it's taken others that I know to get through it. During that time, however, I didn't have a life.
Though many got frustrated with this game I did very rarely. I'm the kind of person who loves a challenge and has a very high patience level.
In Star Wars I've always loved the Bounty Hunters, they seemed very interesting and were fun to study. I had to struggle a lot to find any information about Jango Fett and this game helped, it goes rather in depth with Jango Fett.
According to some of my sources some people like to 'feel' like a bounty hunter, if that's your only reason find another game, only on one level do you actually 'feel' like a bounty hunter.
I enjoyed this game mainly for the challenge, the levels got harder and longer as I progressed, I struggled with my last few. You often have to find very small ledges.
The graphics were well done in some parts, very bad in others. Sometimes Fett would become part of the scenery for a moment and then come back into sight so I tried not to get to near to objects.
If you like a challenge I suggest this game, but only if you're a Star Wars fan. To those with small amounts of patience, may I suggest another game?

2-0 out of 5 stars Lets ruin a good concept shall we Lucasarts?
I got this game at my local Gamestop for $14.99 used, I had looked at the Amazon.com reviews, and they where good, I looked at the Gamespot.com reviews, and they called the game mediocre,
and they where right, the games concept is original, and the weapons are cool, but the gameplay just doesn't follow through, part of the reason is its excruciating difficulty, I spent 45 minutes on one level, and the only level I really enjoyed was Corusant, because you felt like you where really a bounty hunter, and I had to use cheats to get to that level.
This game could have been great, I mean come on what Star Wars fan Doesn't want to fly around as Jango Fett, collecting bounties before he gets his head cut off, the game needed many things, like difficulty settings, and being able to fly Slave 1.
The animations are very well done, but the neatness of the weapons, and the animations where not enough to keep me from returning it.

3-0 out of 5 stars An Average Action Game...Hardly Anything More
After seeing Attack Of The Clones, the idea of a video game that might have some more background into the character Jango Fett appealed to me. Sadly, this game didn't live up to the expectations I had. Bounty Hunter is basically a cross of platforming, Star Wars and quick gunslinging thrown together into a strange result.

In the game you play Jango Fett [Of course], in the days before Episode II. Sure, Fett is able to scan crowds for bounties, swoop down on his jetpack and claim his money. Its an interesting feature, but the game's long levels are mostly a combination of tricky jumping platforming with the aid of a limited fuel jetpack. Fett is able to fly with his jetpack and utilize a wide variety of Star Wars weaponry including his trademark dual blasters, gauntlet flamethrower and toxic darts and a sniper rifle [Among others including special blaster guns that you find scattered throughout the levels].

The gunslinging atomosphere in the game is basically just flying around and shooting blaster bolts at everything in the room. Half of the time, when engaged in large firefights and using Jango's blasters, you can hardly see what is going on and end up firing bolts randomly until nothing is left in the room.

The storyline does put a little backbone and support into Jango Fett's story such as how he became to be the template for the Clone Army and how he met Count Dooku and Zam Wessel [You know, his assistant in early Episode II].

The graphics for some of the major cutscenes in the game are pretty good and detailed, though those that take place in the game are pretty poor. Plus, in several situations you find yourself sniping Tusken Raiders around Tatoonie and exit out of the first-person scope view only to find some large desert creature in the process of draining your health. This game is definetely not worth purchasing, but it may prove valuable for Star Wars fans. My reccomendation is to rent it first though. ... Read more

4-0 out of 5 stars X-plane 8.0 - Rule the world with it
When I got it from the factory. All I got it the DVD in a plastic holder and that's it.No box, no instruction book.Nothing.

I had to get into the program and find out how to fly planes (X and otherwise) on my own.All I got this game for wa to train actor on Boeing 777 on a Mac, before we got them in flight simulators up in Seattle. But this game turned into much more.

If you can run up a B-52, take-off, circle and land; you can fly anything.I've landed a B-52G twice. But think crash. Not don't crash. What does the load vectors do.Will it take-off with four engines. What if all engines shut do on take-off?Crash land.Anyway.That's $100,000+ flight training at Alteon in Seattle (a private flight training company) for $50.Which you want to pay?

Some of the flight sims are a pain, like the X-15.Even if you load Edwards AFB or even Denver, you end up over water or desert that I have no idea where I am.The Space Shuttle is even worst.

But the MOST DIFFICULT plane to fly is the Cessna 172.You end up side ways, when you an at V1.And by the time you at V2, you're screwed.Commit, pull up and take-off.You're in the air or you've crashed.

Mike Rossi

Have fun!!!!

5-0 out of 5 stars Xplane is great!
X-Plane 8 is the latest and greatest in the long-venerable series of what is arguably the worldÕs best flight simulator.X-Plane is not really a ÒgameÓ, so to speak. It is a very realistic flight simulator with all sorts of bells and whistles and more aircraft, airports, scenery, and scenarios than you could ever ask for.

After opening the box, one is greeted with a DVD-ROM and a manual about 200 pages in length. For those who have never flown a real airplane or a flight sim, the manual devotes quite a bit of time to introducing the controls and terminology of the simulator. One minor annoyance is that in the lead tutorial for new users, the aircraft discussed in the manual is not included in the actual sim, at least not that I could find in version 8.I made do with a different craft, though. But the manual is otherwise a very welcome addition in this world of software that generally comes with little useful documentation.

Once you get through the tutorials and the terminology and you are ready to fly, navigating the sim is quite easy, though not entirely Mac-like.The dialog boxes and menus look different than a Mac user may be used to.That might be expected for a cross-platform game such as this, though.Even so, it is extremely easy to load your chosen aircraft (You want to fly a Hindenburg?Sure, why not!), pick your airport, file your flight plan, and then be on your way. You may configure weather conditions and daylight to your liking.X-Plane 8 even gives you a chance to fly the space shuttle and to fly several planes on Mars, using real-life conditions (though not real life aircraft, since those do not quite exist yet, nor do airports exist on Mars in real life).

The graphics in X-Plane 8 are truly beautiful.Scenery comes in two versions: one version for older, slower computers, and one version for those with better hardware set ups.The minimum specs call for a machine with 400 MHz processor and 32MB VRAM.I found that to be slightly unrealistic.Sure, you can run X-Plane on such a set up, but the graphics will be low-res and the experience will not be as pleasurable. This sim just about screams out for a system like the new iMac G5, with its 1.8+ GHz processors and 64MB of VRAM.Indeed, it plays smoothly and comfortably on such a system or on the PowerMac G5 as well.

Game play would probably be best with a real joystick, but I was able to use a small game pad or my mouse quite well.If you really get into the simulator, purchasing a suitable joystick would be a worthwhile investment.

X-Plane has FAA certification and is used in many training environments. That we hobbyists get to use it just for fun is a real treat. This is a world-class, top-notch flight sim, and it is bound to thrill anyone with a sense of adventure and a desire to explore the world through flying. ... 5-0 out of 5 stars Sets the new standard for stealth based games.
Splinter Cell was one of the greatest stealth games of all time the instant it hit stores. But this exihilarating sequal will make you wonder why you bough Splinter Cell.

Single Player:
In Pandora Tommorow you play a stealth agent (Sam Fisher) working for the United States Government. It is your job to do the things that no one else does.Infiltrate foreign enemy territory and find plans, viruses, and maybe some French Brains (when you play it you'll know what I mean).

In the game you have a great variety of moves, you can use over 20 different stealth moves. Throughout the game you'll be shooting about cameras, hacking computers, slipping by motion alarms, climbing rooftops, dogding land mines, and thats just to name a few of the features this sequal contains.

Multiplayer:
If you thought the 24 hours it took you to beat single player on hard was fun. Wait till you kick on Xbox Live and put in Pandora Tommorow. You can either be a Mercenary or a Spy. It's two on two to complete various objects. Visually the multiplayer maps are just a little short of perfection.

The only problem I ran into in Splinter Cell: Pandora Tommorow it's that it sometimes can get difficult and turns into a trial and error thing, so if you're not a hard-core gamer, download a guide off the internet for a just in case situation.

4-0 out of 5 stars Extremely fun game
Tom Clancey's Splinter Cell, Pandora Tomorrow is probobly one of the best games that i have ever played besides, Chaos Theory and Halo 2. The graphics are great, the gameplay is awesome and best of all, it is online! Plus there is downloadable content.

PRO:
1.Graphics are superb
2.Gameplay is awesome and fun.
3.So much that you can do...
4.Online
5.Downloadable content
6.Huge replay value

CON:
1.Single player can be extremely challenging and frustrating at times.
2. Controls are difficult to master.

Besides the two cons that i just listed, this game is definetely worth your money!

3-0 out of 5 stars Unbelievably Short
This game was so rushed it is sad. They should have taken more time to make it more involving. The game is only like litteraly one third as long as the first. The levels are more fun but it is ver very short.

5-0 out of 5 stars The Greatest Stealth Game Ever
Splinter Cell: Pandora Tommorow. The Sequel to the Orignal Splinter Cell, one of the best games ( In my opinion) of all time. The Squel to Splinter Cell is Splinter Cell: Pandora Tommorow. Is it better the the first? Definiatly.

2006: The U.S. installs a temporary military base on East Timor to train the developing defense force of the "world's youngest democracy." Resistance to the U.S. military presence in Southeast Asia is widespread and passionate, but the threat Indonesian militias pose to Timorese democracy is deemed sufficient justification. Anti-U.S. resentment comes to a head under the leadership of guerrilla militia leader Suhadi Sadono, acting with the unofficial support of major corrupt factions of the Indonesian government. Suhadi's men attack and occupy the U.S. Embassy in Jakarta, taking dozens of civilian and military personnel hostage.
Deployed by a top secret wing of the NSA (National Security Agency) known as Third Echelon, Sam Fisher is a lone field operative supported by a remote team. Fisher must defend and assist the U.S. military, both locally and from remote locations, until Suhadi's terror-driven policies can be subverted and the guerrilla faction eradicated. Charged with saving the world, it's a high stakes game. If he fails, the U.S. will deny any knowledge of his existence.

That is the basic storyline. I know, the orignals was probably better, so how in the world could a game that was based on single player stealth action be better then the first?

Multiplayer.

The Multiplayer mode of this game was Mind-blowing, it wasn't even funny. Two spies, vs Two Mercenaries. What could be better? At first, I was a bit iffy about the multiplayer. How would it work? A Stealth multiplayer game? I thought it was impossible.

In Multiplayer mode, you have three modes to play in : Sabotage, Neutralization, and Extraction.

In Sabotage, as a spy. What you need to is use a modem to extract a ND133 from its container. Of course, this isn't a cake-walk. There is lasers that will set off a alarm, telling where you are. There is a security system, if you don't shoot it out first, you wont be able to capture the ND133 until a short time later. For the Mercenaries, it is the exact opposite. The mercenaries have to kill the spies, and not let them extract the ND133.

Most modes are basically like this, having to extract the ND133.

For the Single Player mode, there is new moves. Like instead of having to throw a can or bottle ( This is still available) you can whistle. And instead of taking your chances and trying to sneak by a turn, you can do a SWAT turn, and get by the door unnoticed. There is much more, but I wouldn't want to spoil it for you ^_^.

I give this game a 9.1 out of 10.

5-0 out of 5 stars Tom Clancy's Splinter Cell: Pandora Tomorrow
Sequel to Ubisoft's original Splinter Cell stealth action hit. The developers set out to take the light-and-shadow-based gameplay from the original and upgrade everything about it. Lead character Sam Fisher has an all-new set of moves at his disposal, including being able to climb higher after a split jump and a SWAT move across open doorways, and weapons have secondary functions. There are also plenty of new gadgets, including new vision modes, sonar devices, motion sensors, and secondary fire modes for his weapons. But the biggest upgrade comes in the form of a multiplayer mode that divides players into two teams: spies and mercenaries, each with specific gear, abilities and parameters.

Splinter Cell Pandora Tomorrow is a must have for Xbox fans mainly because of the multiplayer mode. It's a new way to get even more out of your Xbox Live service and shouldn't be missed becuase of this. Fans of the original and those without Xbox live will definitely appreciate Pandora Tomorrow as well, although I have to admit I wasn't blown away by the solo campaign like I was the first time. The revolution in stealth-action can only happen once, so if you're looking for it here, then be sure to check out the multiplayer mode.

5-0 out of 5 stars Very pleased with the overall quality of this HDTV selector
Wow! Stumbled across this Pelican product at a local computer store.I had looked around recently for component video switchers, but had no idea this Pro System Selector existed. For $79 I had no hesitation buying immediately and bringing home knowing the store had a good return policy.Hooked it up in 20 minutes to a Pioneer 50" plasma screen with the following video inputs: 1) HD DirecTV 2) Progressive scan universal DVD player 3) REPLAY DVR with progressive component out 4) X-Box HD 5) Playstation 2 6)Nintendo 64 7) S-video Camcorder.

I couldn't be more pleased with the quick switch ability.I have tested with several Superbit DVDs before and after installation and see no visable loss in quality. Will be recommending to my friends.

5-0 out of 5 stars Very pleased with this product
I recently purchased the Pelican pro system selector with mini remote and am very pleased with the way it operates everything. The main reason I made the purchase (while more expensive than other switch boxes it's very much worth the extra cost)as it adds an extra 8 inputs component composite and S-video and optical inputs (3) and broadband connetors (3)..I decided to get this as I wanted more component inputs as my HDTV only has 2 as I have heard most do only come with 2 depending on the model of the tv. Installion was VERY easy no hassle I hooked up my dvd player(s) laser disc player and Xbox so far no problem with anything thats been hooked up to it.The remote comes in very handy when you want to switch machines. It does come with additional name plates (which are easy to change) but there are not enough labels for dvd or a label for misc. When the system is turned on after switching the power on the indivdual name plate will light up green.A great purchase if you want to add inputs and want to lessen the clutter than normally comes with a tv when the back inputs are filled to capacity.I think this product by pelican is worth every penny that you pay.

5-0 out of 5 stars The system selector pro is awesome!
I just recently received my Pelican system selector pro in the mail.It came with 8 component inputs, a remote control andthe other stuff like composite, s-video and ethernet jacks.I was surprised that it came with 8 component inputs and a remote because I haven't heard of anyone else getting that with their pro.I got my PL-960 pro from a different website called x10 brand new for a total of 81.99 plus the shipping and handling.I was originally expecting only three component inputs but, it came with 8.Before I got it, I had to decide which console I was not going to use to often for regular composite. You know how it goes when you are use to hd and then go back to composite. The remote that it comes with can turn it on and also change the console you want to use instead of having to get up and press the button.I'm glad I waited before buying one of these. It looks exactly the same as the other PL-960, its just that it has more functions.

3-0 out of 5 stars Great device while it worked
I could not have been more impressed with this product. Having far too many devices for my receiver, it was just what I needed, not to mention it had ethernet connectivity to. By far the most impressive features of this device are the facts that it not only has HDTV inputs, but normal analog ones - allowing me to upgrade to an HDTV at a later point and not have a large paperweight. The optical audio output is also a must.
The only thing I wished they'd included to really make this product better would be a remote to switch devices.

I bought this device approximately a year ago, and it operated fine, until the other day. At first it would not switch device, however the input it was stuck on (the first) worked fine. Within a few hours though it had completely died, and was no longer outputting a signal.

However, the device comes with a standard manufacturer warranty of FIVE years. During this time, it can be repaired or replaced for $4 of return shipping. So even if you end up like me with a faulty product, you can still get it replaced, so long as you keep your receipt.

5-0 out of 5 stars High Quality Switchbox
I had my reservations at first about entrusting my optical and component video signals to a switchbox from one of the companies generally known for cheap (and not necessarily high quality) 3rd party gaming hardware.

I had first looked to buy a receiver but most didn't have nearly as many component video and optical inputs as this switchbox. As such, I ended up opting for the switchbox and sending the optical out to my audigy 2 patch bay for dolby 5.1 decoding. This switchbox turned out to be exactly what i needed and i've been extremely pleased with its performance and the value i got for the price.

I have a dvd player, gamecube, and x-box hooked up via component video (progressive scan), optical out of the x-box and dvd, rca out of the cube. Also have an n64, sfc, and a vcr hooked up via s-video and rca. I am using mid-range monster cables and I saw no degradation of quality while using this switchbox. I am also using the unit as an ethernet cable switch between the gamecube and the x-box (coming from my router).

All in all the unit looks very sleek, it comes with many inserts for labeling your channels and they glow green when selected, and it has an input in the front as well for quick hookup of a friend's game system or a camcorder, etc..

If a switchbox is what you need don't be afraid to buy this unit, it comes with quality cables and is well worth the money for its performance. Very handy for gamers with a lot of systems but a tv without a billion inputs. ... Read more

3-0 out of 5 stars World of Warcraft
This game starts out very impressive:
1. Immersive graphics
2. you can craft items right away
3. Huge variety of nice-looking monsters and areas to explore
4. Similar variety of quests
5. you get a few points for exploring stuff

However, I have a 55 priest and a few assorted 30+ chars, and some parts are so bad I am forced to pay $16/mo because I keep doing month to month with the idea I will not stay with it much longer.

Bad Parts
1. Support, in game and email is so poor as to be laughable. My petitions are consistently not answered; my emails are met with non-applicable form letters.
2. Their download servers are a joke.On update days, my friend and I play City of Heroes, because we got tired of waiting 4 hours for their cheap download servers to feed us a few KB.Sometimes the download just plain does not work for a couple of days, and you cannot play without the update.Blizzard seems kind of "Hey, that's too bad but it goes with MMORP territory; now hand us your money."
3. Their infrastructure is inexcusable for a pay per month game.Every time they have a patch release or a busy spell, their "realms" are unusable, and all their web pages, account support, boards, etc go down. Are they running in a basement?
4. When you do manage to get on a server, you can expect frequent "lag" delays, even on machines like mine, with 1.5 GB of memory, and 3.2 GHz HT, and Nvidia 6800.They have a lag-time display in game, that "always" shows low latency (Green), even when you are lagging so bad you get disconnected. That's very helpful.
5. Don't play this for challenging PvP action; it's not going to happen. My 55 priest is on a PvP server, so I know what I'm talking about.95% of battles are ridiculously lopsided, with a level 55 / 60 team coming up behind a level 10, and killing them when they are almost dead in the middle of a fight with other monsters.Needless to say, there's no sense of honor or challenge in any aspect of most of these battles. As a general rule, you will rarely be attacked by people your own level or attack people your own level.Don't expect to get much done on PvP servers some days, except fighting other players (if you want to call a 3 second 60 vs 40 gank a fight)I would stick with a PvE server, that's where I play 90% of the time now, despite being almost 60 (max).
6. The variety of costumes in game is pretty weak, and the selections are typically a bit old-fashioned and prudish. Most characters look pretty much the same as others of their race.If you want variety of costumes, then pick up City of Heroes.
7. Trade / Profession Skills are not good.Enchanting is one of the toughest skills to move up in the game.I have a 266 enchanting skill that's basically worthless.Their skill system was full of variety and excitement early, but as you advance through the levels, what you can make becomes increasingly weak comparatively and crazy expensive.Don't spend a lot of time on their crafting system like I did.It takes a ton of time to move up, and you will end up not using it once you get to max level.Who wants a +5 enchantment on a sword that does 200 damage, for 20 gold?Nobody who gives it 10 seconds thought, is the answer. There's no reason to spend the money to go to max skill.Spend the money on a better sword.Gold is too hard to come by in this game to make the skills usable once they get this expensive.I would pick a skill like skinning animals or herb gathering, and focus on selling supplies to make money that you will desperately need.If you pick enchanting, use it only to dis-enchant items for components, that's what the majority of the people in my last two guilds are doing.Stick to quests (and PvP if you are the type of person that loves killing people way below your level).
8. The monster re-population is offensive and unrealistic.Blizzard thinks nothing of having 10 orcs appear around you suddenly, even if you are fighting another group at that location and almost dead. With lag, they pretty much start attacking instantly, despite what their documentation says.City of Heroes is a lot better in this respect. If they sense you are in aggro-range, they hold off on making the mobs appear out of thin air within sword distance. These sudden appearances are so unrealistic as to hurt the immersiveness of the game at times.
9. Every monster in the game is faster than you are.You will feel slower than you are rl, and not able to climb as steep of grades. That's their way of making the game challenging.
10.Priests and Druids draw aggro with heals and shields.I don't know of any other set of designers that's this stupid.Consequently, you will never be able to find enough priests and druids for groups. When battle gets rough, all the monsters run to the priest if they heal too much. The priest has cloth armor. The priest dies, the party dies. That's been a pretty common cycle. If you go priest, consider "Shadow", offensive path. One of the high-level priests in my guild pretty much refuses to heal, because you also don't get good "honor" (big joke) points for healing people, unlike for PvP kills.Would you want to draw monsters to you, die a lot, and not get credit for it?One of my MMO frequenter friends stopped playing this one after 3 weeks, claiming "they don't understand classes and balance".I have to say, she has a point, and she is having fun with her previous MMO for all too many hours.I go back there too, when this game drives me too crazy :)

That being said, I'm still playing so far, on PvE (Player vs Environment, not player), because there is a lot to do and amazing depthIt's a big world, and it feels realistic at those times that a 6 foot beast doesn't suddenly appear standing on your shoes :)

It's so fun at the early levels that I would definitely recommend playing it for a while.Despite how irritating the bad parts are, it's an awesome game.Just keep the shortcomings in mind and don't expect too much, especially from the PvP system, which is the worst in the market, imho.

5-0 out of 5 stars World Of Warcraft...more then just a game
This the best game i have ever played frist you kill monesters do quests just like and other RPG but add to this: you can do it with other players.
there are also great trade skills to every thing from Makeing a Epic Admante Sword from long lost plans to Enchanting Bracers with spells of Protection
and Even after you have done Every thing Else you can think of in this game (wich may take you a year or too) you can still have fun with your Friends with the slash comands such as
/burp in the face of your Enmeys /slap those you offend you or get drunk and /dance on a Table (waring Magic Beer may have unwanted SideEfficts) you can /beg for gold or your life
(some funny things like:/hug ..."You Need a Hug") you can /flex your arms or /moon your Enmeys and Much Much more

3-0 out of 5 stars One more thing . . .
It is not made clear mentioned anywhere but not only does one pay 45.00 for the software, they must pay for monthly access to the game system which means $$$ over time. This may not be acceptable to some.

3-0 out of 5 stars A fun game, but can get boring real quick
First of all, Ive never played a MMORPG before nor ever heard of such of a brand. That was when Wow came into being and, immediatly, I became intoxicated with it.Now as some of you know this is a very simple, very easy game to get into.Blizzard has gone beyond the call of duty and has brought us what could be the most thrilling and comefortable experience we can ever have in an MMORPG.However, heres a big 'but', what you do too well can ruin you in the future. Now I know not everyone will quite get into this game right off the bat, but some do, I just wanna note something. You know how some people wanna reach lvl 60 so they feel all mighty and all later on? Well your in for a nasty surprise.Once you hit 60 theres no going back; youll find yourself in dungeon raids which isnt much fun at all, you wont get anymore XPs (oops), you be making alts just to feel like theres a new adventure, and youll find yourself farming the hell out of an area just sos you can go about affording the epic mount.I hope that Honor Systems and Battlegrounds Blizzards has made will come in and save the day, cause in a short while those community sites will look pretty empty, and some of us dont wanna see our friends go away when we need them the most.

4-0 out of 5 stars I used to make fun of you people....
.... My roommate had an addiction. She was addicted to evercrack (everquest). I used to make so much fun of her and call her a geek and whatnot. Then she bought WOW and now she has got me hooked. I guess I will see you at the next star trek convention. ... Read more

4-0 out of 5 stars KP's Back to Save The World!
First of all, I must say the graphics on this game ROCK! They are much better than the first, and as a bonus, you don't have to write down annoying passwords. Drawback: No clips from the episodes like in the first one.

Game Play: Pretty good except at first the moves can be somewhat confusing.

Levels: All pretty good.

Difficulty: It took me four days to beat this game instead of one (like the first one). Once you figure out the moves and which way to go it's pretty easy gameplay.

All in all, if you're a KP fan you'll enjoy this!

(...)

3-0 out of 5 stars not my favorite.....
in this game there is 1 level i love and i redo it a lot. the other levels are kinda boring but some are better.the graphics are pretty good i'd recommend this to KP fans.if you have never played a GBA before i don't recommend this 'cause it can be confusing sometimes (with all the gadgets, moves, and stuff)its not the worst, not the best.

5-0 out of 5 stars A good Game!
This game was ok.I liked the whole adventure thing but I got stuck in some parts. Some of the gadgets are sometimes hard to use.The stealth suit only makes you invisible if you don't move. There are many levels in ths game which makes it something that will take you a while to beat. The game is great for Kim Possible fans but it can get very frustratng at times. My mom tried this game because
I needed some help and she got frustrated too. This game might be a little hard but you will definetley love it!

5-0 out of 5 stars awsome but slightly challenging
I think that this game is a good game , but its hard , maybe I just didn't get how to do all the combos. There are many combos for a kid to do. I would recommend this toy for about 7 and up . No little kid will get how to do all the moves. If your looking for a challenging game .... this is it . But you have to be really good at the fourth and fifth levels=)

5-0 out of 5 stars This is one AWESOME game!
When I first got Kim Possible 2, I was thinking, "This is gonna be so Fun!" because I love Kim Possible. It is the greatest game ever! It wasn't easy, but I finally won the game. I hate games that are too easy to beat, but this game is just perfect. Kim Possible gives you a challenge without making it too hard or too easy. I'd definently recommend this game to anyone, it's really really fun and cool! :) ... Read more

5-0 out of 5 stars Awesome collection of strategy/RPG's...
Arc the Lad 1-3 was originally released by Sony. Arc 1 was released when the PS One first came out, in 1996/1997. About a year later, Arc 2 came out, then Arc 3 followed in 1999. The problem? They were never released out of Japan. Luckily, Working Designs, the company responsible for bringing out Lunar and Lunar 2 with great extras, has brought all 3 of these games out of Japan, with great packaging like the Lunar series.

Arc 1 is pretty short. You could finish it in about 10-15 hours (20+ if you do all the side quests), but it's still a lot of fun. Arc 2 continues the great story, and is a whole lot longer. You could spend anywhere from 50-100 hours on Arc 2. And finally, Arc 3. They took the job system from Arc 2 and made it the main part of Arc 3. Although not as serious, and more lighthearted, than the other games in the series, Arc 3 is still pretty fun. My favorite is Arc 2, then 1, and finally 3, but they all provide hours of fun and entertainment.

Also included is Arc Arena, which allows you to fight other monsters with monsters you capture in Arc 2. This was kind of fun, but I didn't really get into it.

The packaging comes with a hardcover instruction booklet (over 100 pages), a memory card holder, a "Making of Arc the Lad Collection" cd, and more. If you're a fan of strategy/rpg's, don't miss out!

5-0 out of 5 stars Something that's fun again
I'm only about 1/2 to 2/3 done (I think)with the second game, and I already feel that I've more than got my money's worth. It's not terribly complicated, I've gotten a lot of amusement out of strange things, like looking at the bathtubs with different caracters, the game play is FUN. You don't have to be an ace player, mastering obscure button patterns, and there isn't too much conversation or graphics, JUST GAME!

5-0 out of 5 stars Arc the Genius, sayeth the Genius...
Arc the Lad isn't a game that everyone will like because there isn't very much exploration. You don't control your character very much at all outside of battles and you have to get caught up in the dialogue in order to enjoy the story and the game. Arc the Lad's best feature is the battle system. The battle system is defiantly unique, of course there are a number of games that use a system that is similar but Arc the Lad came out before those games, it was an SNES game when it first came out in Japan mind you. As soon as I fought my first battle I loved this game and it reminded me of Shining Force, and once I met Tosh I was sold. Great start off to the series even though the last boss is extremely easy.

Arc The Lad II is better than Arc the Lad, and yes I have beaten it (for that reviewer who claimed not very many people have beaten it). The spells look better than Arc the Lad and you get to capture monsters and have them join your team. A complaint I have about the monsters is they cannot equip armor and so cannot keep up with your human party members. But with monster Arena you can fight with your friends (assuming you don't spend all your time on Amazon and do have friends) with your monster and so still keeping them up on levels is pretty important. This game is tougher than the first, it has more puzzles and tougher enemies plus the level you can level up to is insane (I have no idea what the max is but it is over 150). This game introduces the Hunter's Guild to Arc the Lad lovers where you take up jobs and go after wanted monsters all for money. Most of the cast from Arc the Lad joins up with your party and you can fight with them, if you've beaten Arc the Lad you can use convert and your characters from Arc the Lad will be at the same level with the same weapons you last left them at. The transition between games is extremely smooth thumbs up to this game! Sometimes the battles do get annoying but bare with it man... it's a good game, now shut your complaining.

I must admit I haven't beaten Arc the Lad III , so I think I'm entitled to my opinion about this one. Man I love the character Lutz but everyone is so mean to him, Alec (the hero) is suppose to be his best friend and yet he joins the others in picking on him they should realize that Lutz kicks all their [butts] and they should shut up cause he's the best character... Ahhh that felt sooo good Ok. enough about my Lutz raving. The game is better than the other ones. You meet a lot of the cast from the first and second game but it's rare for you to fight along side them, none of them join your party. But that's ok cause you fight with Tosh for a while (he's not at the same level I left him on GRRRRRRR) The plot revolves more around the Hunter's Guild than the second one and you're introduced to other Guilds.... Not sure if I like the other guilds or not I rarely use them but hey if you like that type of thing I guess. The magic looks good and now instead of capturing monsters you turn them into cards where they'll do one move and disappear, hey I'm not complaining I think it looks pretty cool myself. Anyways this game is awesome with the awesome battle system all the Arc the Lads have... So great stuff here... Did I mention Lutz is awesome?

Overall Arc the Lad satisfied me especially its battle system. The Arc the Lad series (though I haven't played the fourth one) flows together better than any video game series I've ever played.

3-0 out of 5 stars Hmmm, overated, and not joking
Alright this review is going to reveal the truth about arc the lad. No there isn't any spoilers, but I will spill out the real details.

Arc the Lad 1: Great game. Really short. But really fun, after you play it once it isn't as great, but still I loved the battles and the 2d graphics worked great.

Arc the Lad 2: Ok its got alot more in it. You can change your weapons, more spells, tons of characters, monsters to control, yet sadly fails. The reason being? Noone actually plays to the end. Most of these people reviewing probably haven't gotten to the second half of the game. The first part is great. Then the battles start to get more frequent. The third part is enormously filled with meaningless battles, one after another. Then we reach the final areas. Tons of battles in which the reward is a new plot twist, you now must go to some random town and enter a doom tower filled with 30 levels of battling fun! Ok so you beat the tower, then split up in some ice area, 2 groups, thousands of battles. So you reach the final dungeon(s). Ok you walk up some stone blocks... now your going to HAVE to fight 5 consecutive battles in a row. Then go into this place and search for like 5 switches or something, it wasn't clear. I fought 4 battles going into a house and coming out, then realized there was nothing in there. I walked up to it, entered battle, went inside and battled, entered a room to find nothing, left the room and battled, went outside and battled. In these battles you are outnumbered. You just use your magic and take them down in about 3 hits. The magic starts to get real annoying after you see it thousands of times. Ok so you find the switches, guess what, you have to go into this creepy lair and fight some bosses, great. Overall the game really slumps. Most of the reviews here just say that arc the lad 2 has more then arc the lad 1 and is better. Sure arc the lad 2 starts great, but I am WARNING you, you will probably just stop caring by the end.

Arc the Lad 3: I got to the final dungeon and quit in arc the lad 2, then arc the lad 3 was popped in. I did not load my data because, well, I never finished arc2 to the dead end. So you basically are a hunter. The Cast seems dry compared to the original. Still the 3d seems appropriate, because most games are 3d now. It isn't better then what you can find anywhere else. Just go play a game like final fantasy 7 or legend of dragoon and you will be more satisfied. But arc the lad 3 seems kind of a blend of arc1 and arc2, with some today standards thrown in.

Arc the Lad Monster Arena: Pointless, you load in some monsters from arc the lad 2. I used a monster throught the whole game in arc2, yet the monster was still 10 levels behind all my other characters. Monsters are pointless, you have like 30 different good characters to choose from. This game just has some battles, and buying of stuff. Don't worry about it.

Extra: The book is kinda cool, considering its hardback. The little stand things are not really needed. The memory card holder will probably never be used. But the analog covers seems kinda okay, but feel weird. The making of the games is not really a blast either, its just showing you how they do stuff that you will never be able to do.

Overall the games are not that satisfying. If arc1 was released alone for like 15 dollars I would get it. But it is really short. So do not spend your money on this product. Borrow it from a friend, play arc1, then return it. ... Read more

3-0 out of 5 stars super mario 64 ds is better
i just got this game today, and havent played it much yet. but from what i have played of it, i can tell that super mario 64 ds is much better, which i have owned since launch. first of all, the cut scenes in this are boring and not skipable. they also treat you like a little baby in this. "ok rayman, now press the b button to jump! now press up on the control pad to go forward!" i dont need that. i've played a game or two before. also the menus are somewhat confusing and the way you select levels is very annoying. also, on the screenshots i have seen the graphics look amazing and smooth, but once i started playing it they're kinda rough and choppy. they aren't bad graphics by any means, especially for a handheld, but super mario 64 ds also beats it in that category. it also doesnt have any the extras sm64ds has, like mini games and wireless multiplayer. overall, if you want a great platforming game, get this. if you want a great platforming game with better graphics, 32 mini games, and wireless multiplayer, get super mario 64 ds.

5-0 out of 5 stars Awsome Game!
Pay no attention to the bad reviews that came before. This game is cool. As for the sound blankage rumor, I suspect it is a myth, because I did not find it. In this game you control Rayman, who is a strange guy whose head, feet, and hands float unsuported by limbs, and has, literally, helocopter game. This game is the best! I would completly recomend it!

3-0 out of 5 stars Blacker than a black cat in a black room at night
I've never played any other Rayman game so I'll review this as what it is, not by comparison with other games I have no intention of buying.

This is a great little platform game. Rayman is a bizarre bodyless character who runs around in typical platform style jumping from falling bridges to wobbly platforms, from precarious tree trunks to wobbly boats all the while dodging baddies, electric fences and exploding powder kegs. The character controls are interesting and entertaining. With a minimal number of buttons we have Rayman jumping, shooting, flying round like a helicopter, trampolining, gliding in thermals and taking part in a whole variety of different actions. The gameplay is great.

BUT...this game has a major flaw. You can't actually see any of the above unless you take your DS into a dark room, or maybe hide under a dark blanket. Although the variety of locations and characters in the game seem to be begging for bright colours, apart from Rayman himself this game basically uses two colours - black and dark black. In daylight or a normally lit indoor room you can't actually see to play! Even in a dark room it's hard to tell whether that line coming up is just a crack in the path or a gaping hole that needs jumping over. It's hard to know how Ubisoft could have made this error. It means that when testing they either forced their testers to work in a dark room, or maybe they never actually used a real DS but just tested on an emulated machine. Either way it's pretty shoddy. The great thing about Rayman DS is the fun of having a 3D platformer in a portable format. Unfortunately portability isn't much use when there are few places you can play it. Just a tiny tweak to the texture maps is all you need to turn this game into a masterpiece.

I have some other minor quibbles too. Nintendo proved quite definitively, with Mario 64, that the touch screen can't be used effectively as a substitute for an analog joystick. So why have Ubisoft made exactly the same error? On the other hand, the game is fairly tolerant of errors. Walking off the edge of a cliff is rarely fatal as Rayman usually catches on the edge in his hands, and shooting seems to be accurate even if Rayman is 10-20 degrees off. So this problem is merely an annoyance, not a show stopper.

So, in summary: if you don't mind playing in a dark room this is an excellent platformer that will entertain you for many hours. I think it's a little tricky to play, maybe because my reflexes aren't what they used to be. Highly recommended. But if you're looking for an electronic game to take with you on summer trip, forget it unless you can play under a hood.

3-0 out of 5 stars A full Multi-Category Review by a Rayman fan
For those of you who have played Rayman 2: The Great Escape for the Nintendo 64, you may be a little disappointed by this re-release of the legendary 64-bit era game. Instead of coming back in its full glory and brilliance, the game is released as a slightly downgraded version that has the only advantage of being portable. After seeing how Super Mario 64 came to the DS as Super Mario 64 DS and managed to be better than its predecessor, I still think Ubisoft could've done a lot more with Rayman DS.
Now, here's a Multi-Category review based on a 10-point rating system, in which Rayman DS will be judged in these 7 categories: Graphics, Sound, Control, Plotline, Glitches, Entertainment, and Replay Value, which are all averaged into an Overall Rating. This review was made while I was up to the level called "The Precipice".
Enjoy.

GRAPHICS: The Rayman games are famous for their exceptional visuals, and almost every game is a masterpiece graphically. This was true of Rayman 2, which boasted beautiful textures, lush backgrounds, and a unique art style.
How disappointing that Rayman DS doesn't live up to the N64 version. While it still acheives quite a lot, though are numerous things that reduce this title's shine. First off, this game has lost some detail in its textures, which most of the game's beauty comes from. However, to all but the most careful observer, these changes may not be noticeable. Second, the game's colorful environments appear dark on the screen in most lighting situations. And strangely enough, I found that the best way to make the graphics appear brighter and clearer is to play with the backlight on in a completely dark room. Don't ask me why it works, it just does. Overall, the game still looks good, but most of the polish from the original seems to be gone. RATING: 8

SOUND: Alright, the biggest problem here is that the game is strangely quiet, even at full volume. Of course, the solution here is to play someplace where there's little to no noise (like that dark room I mentioned earlier). There are some minor changes in some musical scores, but for the most part, everything sounds just like the original. And although the characters speak, they just babble gibberish like in the original (good thing there was the invention of text boxes), and the only English word Rayman says is "Stop!" near the start of the game. The game's quietness makes this hardly noticeable, so don't even try to listen to them. RATING: 7.5

CONTROL: The game nearly fails here. There are two control modes, including the D-Pad and a virtual control stick on the Touch Screen. The D-Pad is worthless, don't even try it, and Super Mario 64 DS did a much better job at controlling the character with the Touch Screen than this game does. Levels with Walking Shells, powder keg flights, and ridable plums are more of lessons in anger management than the thrilling rides they were in the original, and learning to precisely control Rayman to do stuff like tip toe past sleeping RoboPirates takes some practice. Also, the A and B buttons have been switched (I still mix them up at times). The camera controls are also poorly done. This game seems to be a demo demonstrating that the DS needs a real control stick peripheral soon. RATING: 5

PLOTLINE: Same as the original: help Rayman defeat the RoboPirates and reunite the 1000 yellow Lum fragments of the Heart of the World.
It can be good at times. RATING: 8

GLITCHES: This game is crawling with them. From white lines that appear briefly on the landscape to silent areas in the game, you can find one programming fault every 5 minutes. Thankfully, they are minor enough to not ruin the gameplay (or what's left of it after the control issues). RATING: 7

ENTERTAINMENT: With some areas frustrating and other areas like a chore to play, most gamers will have no problem putting the game down, but some Rayman fans may still get some fun out of it. RATING: 6.5

REPLAY VALUE: One time through will be enough for most gamers who don't feel like finding all the cages and yellow Lums. RATING: 6

OVERALL RATING: 6.9

A FINAL WORD: Although still a good game, Rayman DS just doesn't measure up to Rayman 2. Good if you want Rayman on the go, but when you get home after your car trip or whatever, you'll start up Rayman 2 and let this version sit forgotten. ... Read more

5-0 out of 5 stars A fun twist to the original Pac Man game.
I have been having a lot of fun with this game. It is very innovative and really utilizes the touch screen. I mean, how fun to draw your own Pac Man and watch it come to life to play the game with! The object of the game (yes, there is one contrary to what other people have said) is to fight the ghosts and turn them back into "ghost ink". They had invaded all the pictures and books, but Pac Man was able to conquer most of the ghosts with his "magic pen" and put the rest of them together in one last book. But before he could turn them back into ghost ink, they put a curse on him. Now he is in the paper and it is up to you and Pac Man, along with the "magic pen" (your stylus), to finish the job and save the last book. You go through the chapters of the book and each chapter has levels to where you have to eat all the ghosts in order to advance to the next level or chapter. As you advance you earn weapons to help you along the way. There are also other fun things involved in this game but I don't want to spoil it for the people who get it. My favorite part of the game (besides making your drawings come to life) is trying to beat the bosses at the end of each stage. My only gripe is that if you don't beat a boss, you have to go back to the beginning of that stage and do all the levels in that chapter again. But that I think is a minor thing. The game gets harder as you go on and there are new things added and more to do to keep you interested. I don't find this game boring at all and it keeps me real busy and interested. Overall, I think Pac Pix is a cool game and is worth getting. It even makes me laugh at times, like if I draw a really funny Pac Man or he goes the wrong way. I don't have any regrets with buying this game.

3-0 out of 5 stars Way too repetative
I'm not entirely sure why the Nintendo DS can't get very many decent games.Pac Pix is a VERY INNOVATIVE game, but the problem is in the gameplay. It's unique, and for that I gave it three stars instead of two.But it's repetative gameplay makes this less fun to play.Especially because it gets old real fast.

First of all, let me say this. It's really cool to draw your own pac-man and watch him chomp away at your enemies. It's also really cool to be able to guide him by drawing walls and such.Really, it's innovative stuff. You can also draw arrors to shoot at missiles that come raining down on you.

The problem is this kind of gameplay gets old really fast. There's not much of a story (as a previous reviewer already said, if you didn't like Yoshi Touch and Go, you won't like this game). The only point is to get a high score and beat the game. It's also really short. There's no point putting down thirty dollars for a game like this. It's way too short, with very little replay value.

Graphic wise, this game is actually kind of neat.I love the way Pac-man looks, and I like the soft booklike look this game has. It's rather nice to see.The music is mixed from previous pac-man titles (arcade mostly).

Seriously, this can be a fun game. The problem is, it's too repetative.Sometimes being repative isn't bad, but in this case it is. Especially because you don't do much of anything!Fire arrows and draw lines for pac-man to follow. That's about it, actually. There's no challenge to it either, and it's too short.

Don't spend your money on this game. It's really innovative, that's for damn sure. But don't go blowing your money on a game that's not a whole lot of fun after two hours.

2-0 out of 5 stars .
way too short, way too unfun, way too unoriginal..

do not buy it... this is by far the worst game on the DS.. it wasn't even to me worth the rent.. at ALL

5-0 out of 5 stars Very Fun, wish it was longer
One of my favorite cartoons growing up (I cannot remember it's name) was one in which an old guy would draw things on a chalkboard and then they would come to life. This is sort of what happens in this game, and also a possible preview for future, more sophisticated DS games.

You are able to draw pacman (I love giving him a Simpsons look with an overbite)and then see your drawing come to life and start carpet munching. You then control the direction by drawing lines. The goal is to complete several stages that make up a chapter and beat your previous higher score. There are 12 chapters in all. This is such a fun game, that replay value is huge, as you can replay levels to constantly try to beat youor hight score. In a sense, it is like a racing game, as your have a time limit.

I have not played it enough to get to the levels in which you draw bombs or arrows, but am guess they are just as fun.

Overall, this is a unique and fun game that is well worth the price. I only wish they had 20 stages and not just 12.And it is also a very welcome addition to a very sparse and disapointing DS line up.

4-0 out of 5 stars not bad if you like high score games
If you found Yoshi Touch & Go lacking, DO NOT BUY THIS GAME. This is another one of those games that many like to call "tech demos" -- simple games with no story (or a REALLY simple one) and a major emphasis of improving your high score.

In Pac-Pix, you draw a Pac Man (with your "magic pen") to get rid of all the ghosts on the level. Each level is a page in a chapter, and there are 12 chapters in all.

It's a pretty short game, but there are a few unlockable extras (cards) and improving your high score is a fun pick-up-and-play kind of thing. Also, the levels do progressively get harder -- soon you'll be drawing arrows to deflect off mirrors and bombs.

It's a very creative game overall, and perfect fun for novice and expert gamers alike. Just be prepared for a very simple presentation, mediocre (but still nice) graphics, and being able to "beat it" in about a week. ... Read more

If you're still suffering the lingering effects of Pac-Man fever, you'llbe excited to hear that Namco's Pac-Man Collection repackages theinfectious original with three other Pac-Man-themed games in a new anthology forthe Game Boy Advance.

Pac-Man Collection contains the original Pac-Man, plusPac-Attack, PacMania 3D, and the never-before-seen-out-of-the-arcadePac-Man Arrangement game. Pac-Man plays like you remember, andlike Namco Museums's picture perfect re-creation of Ms. Pac-Man,it features spot-on control, graphics, cartoon cutscenes, sound effects, and, best of all, music from the coin-op (who can forget that opening theme?). Assuch, it's easily the best of this collection.

PacMania 3D is basically a 3-D version of the original, and is just aboutas uninspired now as when it came out. Pac-Attack is a cool variation onsuch puzzlers as Tetris and Columns, and as such it's perfect forhandheld gaming. Pac-Man Arrangement is an odd little game that playsmuch like the original but adds weird power-ups that, for example, make yougigantic.

Because Pac-Man Collection is a perfectly emulated package, there isn'tmuch to gripe about, save that Ms. Pac-Man is a far, far better game thanthe original, and you'll have to shell out more money if you want that one. Butfor retro gamers on the go who also want to track down ghosts and eat powerpills, this package is sure to sate your hunger. --Andrew S. Bub

Pros:

  • Perfect graphics and sound
  • Perfect controls
  • Pac-Attack is a fun Tetris variant
Cons:
  • It's missing the best Pac game, Ms. Pac-Man
  • Pac-Man Arrangement and PacMania 3D aren't really great games

5-0 out of 5 stars Great collection!
It's a nice collection of Pac-Man, Pac-Man Arrangement, Pac-Mania, and Pac-Attack. I'm STILL trying to beat the original! Pac-Attack, 100 stages, gotten through about 30. I already beat Pac-Man Arrangement and Pac-Mania. The easiest was Pac-Man Arrangement, then Pac-Mania(could've been easiest if it wasn't for that 3rd level!!! Levels 1, 2, and 4 are easy though), then Pac-Man, then Pac-Attack.

If you don't have a GBA or DS, GameCube and Xbox has Namco Museum. Pac-Man and Pac-Man Arrangement are there. Pac-Attack is unlockable by getting 25000 points on Pac-Man. Pac-Mania, 20000 points on Ms. Pac-Man. Remember to save it!

5-0 out of 5 stars Pac Man Fever
I grew up in the 80s playing Atari and arcade games. So when I purchased my new Gameboy Advance SP, I immediately wanted to buy Pac-Man.I definitely was not disappointed. The cartridge contains 4 different games. The basic Pac-Man game is a good replica of the arcade version, replete with Blinky, Pinky, Inky, and Clyde. It can be played in full-screen or scroll version. The full-screen version is a bit small, but I find the scroll version difficult to play as you cannot see what the characters are doing on other parts of the board.

PacMania 3D and Pac-Man Arrangement are variations on the classic Pac-Man.Pac-Man Arrangement is my least favorite of the 4 games.Although the board is colorful, the floating dots add nothing.I also find it somewhat confusing, and it's difficult to control.PacMania 3D is enjoyable and includes several 3D worlds. You can make your Pac-man jump, and the ghosts have great menacing glares.

However, Pac-Attack is definitely my favorite game here - a brilliant variation on Tetris.Like Tetris, the falling blocks must be arranged. Some of the blocks contain ghosts and some contain a Pac-Man, and the goal is to arrange the ghosts so that you can eat them. It's pretty addicting.Overall, I'm really enjoying this collection. Most highly recommended.

Product Description

You're Jak, a quiet hero in the making. Jak and sidekick Daxter are playing on Misty Island a wee bit close to a pit of Dark Eco. Daxter falls in and crawls out looking like a fused otter and weasel. The two visit the village's local wise man, the Green Sage, to transform him back. But the Magical Ports from one island to the other have shut down, and the only way to reach the more knowledgeable wise men that could help him is to embark on an adventure, of course. In every region there is a strange conspiracy around the concept of Eco that adds another layer to the game. Dark Eco is deadly, or at the very least, mystical and strange. Jak and Daxter's world is filled with all kinds of the mysterious element known as Eco. Green Eco gives life, and it's contained in chests and containers all across the many environments the pair encounters. Blue Eco provides energy, speed and opens doors, and Red and Yellow Eco provide energy and the ability to cast fireballs, too. Races, a collection of minigames, enemy chases and timed events are all part of the gameplay. ... Read more

that was a good game but please go back to makeing crash games.

4-0 out of 5 stars Pretty good...
Ok, I thought this game was pretty good. But hey, I was only eight when I got it. I've seen alot of people saying it stinks. Most of these people are allowed to Ratchet and Clank. I've never played it. I'll put it in specific terms: if you aren't allowed to play alot of T games, this game rocks.
Pros: Awesome graphics
Cons: Too short

1-0 out of 5 stars Boredom beyond our deepest nightmares...
...also known as Jak & Daxter: The Precursor Legasy. This game is all about running around a silly free roaming 3D world while beating up repeative enemies you have seen 15646 billion times earlier and collecting tons of crap. I got this game a loooooong time ago. It was fun at first, but then came the titles that could exterminate this game: Ratchet & Clank, Ratchet2, Ratchet3, Jak II, Jak3, Sly Cooper, Sly2, The Urbz, Sonic Heroes... the list is long. Now lets talk about the game's features:

Pros.
Okay graphics.
Cool scenery.
Free-roaming action adventure.

Cons.
Crap voices.
Insanely boring missions.
Veeeryy repeative combat.
Only 3, count them THREE bosses!!!
Soon gets annoying and frustrating.
Sooooo easy.
Very short.
Zilch replay value.
Jak is a MUTE!
Doesnt even compare to Crash Bandicoot.
Stupid music.
Almost every mission involves some Eco boredom.
Zoomer missions are frustrating.

Now see: 3 pros and... about... 13 cons.
That means this game is just a smelly good-for-nothing excuse of an game. I dont play this game anymore, it just collects dust while I entertain myself with REAL titles. They are too many to count so I wont count them.

Graphics: 6.5
Sound: 3.0
Gameplay: 4.7
Replay Value: 1.5
Fun: 2.0
Overall: 1.0

Final Verdict:
THIS GAME SUCKS!
Avoid it, run away from it, stay away from it, whatever, just do not, I repeat: DO NOT BUY IT!!!

2-0 out of 5 stars all about jak an daxter
I praise the good lord that I only rented this game for 7 nights. To be honest it didn't 4 nights. The game is toooo easy and simple. On top of that it is tooooo short. However it was fun for the short 4 nights that I had it. Naughty dog used to the good games like Crash Team Racing and Crash 2 my favorite out of the first three. But this junk errr game or game wanabee is just the example of how good companies can screw up BIG time. The one time I about it is the hoverbike but that is about it. So go out and get a real game like Spyro the dragon:Year of the Dragon which should be cheaper and better than this junk.

1-0 out of 5 stars Boring
This.. game... STUNK!!!!!!!! Do not play. The storyline is absolutely stupid. The missions arent even fun. Just dont play it. It's just a waste of time and money. ... Read more

5-0 out of 5 stars Harry potter 3 is the best game yet!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I love this game. After I get home from shool I play this game

5-0 out of 5 stars Harry Potter And The Prisoner Of Azakaban GBA Game
Very good game, excellent quality. The game sticks to the book more than the movie does! Easiest to play when you start at the begining and work your way up to beat the game. I got the game a few days ago and already I'm on the part where you have to go back to Hogwarts when you come back from the Shrieking Shack. Some parts are tricky though and take a couple of tries to accomplish (i.g. Whomping Willow, Crabbe + Goyle, mazes, etc.).
The game is fun to play and can sometimes be addictive!!!!

4-0 out of 5 stars Why did you bloody cut out brooms?
I realy love Harry Potter.I think It's safe to say I'm obssesed. So naturally, I bought HP3 on Gamecube and on GBA.I loved them both quite alot, but I always loved QUIDDITCH.I played the game and you don't even see a broom in the Gamecube version, and you see one broom in GBA and you NEVER ride it.It's all Buckbeak. Not that it's not an absolutly wicked idea, I do love to ride Beaky, but I was realy looking forward to Quidditch 3rd year. The GBA version was definatly fun, and I advise you to buy it, but before you do, If you have a Gamecube, PS2, or XBox systom, play it on there first THEN if you like that version buy a portable version (GBA or GBA SP)of Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban.
Signed,
Haley (Harry's Girl 4 ever)

5-0 out of 5 stars Easy Pissy Tips
When you are ending and you are done defeating Malfoy. I suggest you to chose Herminone to get to Sirius. Herminone Is more easy to go through. Belive me, for I have played this game like 6 times already and Harry and Herminone are on level 52 already. It is great!

3-0 out of 5 stars A Good Game....But Way Too Short
I recently ordered this game, and it just came yesterday afternoon. I have already finished it. Need I say more? The game leaves out many important plot line, never do you fly a broom or play Quiddich, never is the Marauder's Map mentioned, and never do you get to vist Hogesmade. Starting to get my drift? I only rated this game as highly as I did because the graphics are pretty good (for a GBA), and it was pretty fun while it lasted. I am not bragging when I say it took me about 5 hours to beat. I am a gamer who explores the whole game, not just following the plot line. If you haven't read the book or seen the movie, there is no way you will understand what is happening. There are really no puzzles to solve either, everything you have to do is extremely straight forward. Another thing I didn't like about the game was that events that could have been made fun and challenging were not. Let's take the example of the dementors. In the game, they turn this into an incredibly stupid mini-game that has no point whatsoever. This is also the case with flying Buckbeak and defeating the boggart. The replay value is also next to zip because you keep your level when you restart making you too powerful for the game to have any meaning. In conclusion, if you have a lot of money to spend, by all means get the game. If you don't and you are looking for a game that will last you a long time, this is definitly not your game. ... Editorial Review

The game that launched the Nintendo 64 system stands the test of time as one of the first andbest exploratory action/adventure games. Guide the legendary plumber through an incredibly vast magicalworld with never-before-seen movement and camera-angle freedom. Mario's got the moves with graduatedspeeds of running and walking, jumps, super jumps, bounce attacks, swimming, and more. The more youplay, the more moves you'll discover.

This industry milestone game lets gamers play at their own pace, encouraging them to explore new nooksand crannies of its many levels with a Zen-like approach where the journey is as important as the goal.Other N64 games such as Zelda, Banjo-Kazooie, and Donkey Kong 64 all owemuch of their inspiration to this gem of a game. A showcase for the system's graphics and processing speedcapabilities, Super Mario 64 is a must-have for any N64 owner. --Jeff Young

This is the greatest game of all time! This game is very challenging and it has great graphics! This Game has tons of levels, secret levels, and secret passages!Plus It has a boss for almost every level! This is the 4th game I ever bought. bought it in 1999.What makes the game unique is that it takes a long time to comlpete. You have to collect 120 stars and beat Bowser 3 times!I've had this game for 6 years and it's still my fanorate!Buy this game it would be a shame not to.Especially since it has great 3-D graphics

5-0 out of 5 stars Excellent,but
Okay, the game is very addicting. The sound, graphics, gameplay is all great! But I discoverd something else funer. Super Mario 64 DS. That game is way better. This game is good but that game is something you can't keep your eyes off. Remember when you finish the game and eyerything to do and ther'es nothing left to do, well this DS game has mini games. They are very addicting and fun! You can draw on this as well. The adventure mode takes longer folks. You can play as Yoshi,Luigi,Mario Wario. In The beginning of Super Mario 64,you could just walk in. But thwe DS version is different. You have to collect a rabbit to get in. There is more room's in this castle too with more levels. Instead of collecting 120 stars. You have to collect 150. If you don't have enogh money for a DS and the game but have a N64,dust off the original and have some fun. Or go out and buy your DS and game. Get whatever. You have to play this though. If you don't think I'm right, then you will be sorry.

5-0 out of 5 stars Best Mario game in the series!
This is the best Mario game I have ever played! One of my favorite levels in the game is the flying sky level. If you like Mario and you never played this game, play IT!! ... Read more
