The official 8MB PS2 memory card is good if you have only a couple of games.otherwise you need to buy more than one.It is said that it runs 200 times faster, which isn't entirely accurate (usually about 185 times, but 200 is supposed to be the max).I bought this thing used for $17 dollars.That's expensive.If you have an oldr model of Playstation, it would be better to shell out $100 for Final Fantasy 11/hard drive bundle.The hard drive is 40 gigs, which is 5,120 times larger than this memory card.If you have a slim ps2, you can't use the hard drive.In that case, buy the 2 pack memory cards from Sony. It runs from $32 to $40, so get that package.Overall, a fast, reliable card, but Sony needs to produce larger cards.

MEMORY cards are quite dear and hold 8 blocks of Memory,games like The Sims ect. take up alot of Memory space so saving other games are more difficult to save,i do Prefer The GameCube memory cards b-cs they have more space so ide often have to delete memory from Magic Gate 8MB(8 Memory Blocks) to save my newer games.The PS2 is backWards Compatible with its predcessor`s games,PS ONE wich is very useful but PS2 is a different console and PS2`s Memory Card`s can`t save any PS ONE game(and PS1 Mem. DEF. WORTH THE $$$
First off, i did not buy the Sony brand cable.I bought a Madcatz brand one for $14.99 from Gamestop (thats all they had).I bought this cable because i recently bought a new tv that supports component video.It is NOT an HDTV so i didn't expect it to make a huge difference, but boy was i surprised!Games/movies were sharper and the colors were richer.Def. a noticable difference.I can only imagine the quality you would get if you had an HDTV.

Produces a Great Picture.
Prior to buying these component cables, I had been playing my PS2 with composite cable, connected through my VCR.The result of this: soft, muddy, and dull graphics.After purchasing Final Fantasy XI for my console, I heard quite a few times how the PC version is far superior visually.I had enough of my inferior video and audio experiences, so I purchased a new televsion, and these cables.The result: CRISP, CLEAN, VIBRANT images.The first time I turned on FFXI with these cables, the difference visually was as clear as day.The various imagery in the game, from trees, rocks, the sky, the terrain, and the characters pop out and are very well defined.They all seem to have the depth that I was missing all this time.The text present in the game has also become much clearer.I am proud to say that I can now enjoy this game at the same level visually as PC gamers enjoy theirs.My PS2 has gotten a major face lift.

I just bought the component AV cable from a 3rd party company and already has the S/video cables (3rd party too) . I've read that AV component it's much better than S video, and tha's why I bought it. But is not!.AV component seems to be a little better than standard AV cables (RCA). S video gives an extraordinary brilliance to images. Video Component looks opaque, maybe Monster cables works better. In summary:

problems?
i've read alot of purchasers saying the gameshark 2 for the ps2 is a bad investment.if you asked me 2 years ago i would have agreed.through owning one original gameshark and all the version up grades (3 so far) i've found that it depends on both the version of your gameshark and your ps2.the first ps2 i bought died a year after i got it, i still don't know what happened but it wasn't the gameshark, it was hardware.the second one has last a year and is running great even with a gameshark plugged in all the time.be smart, read as much as possible on every purchase, and ask the people who own them and you can get the right information to figure out if this is an investment you're willing to make.point 1:the first two gameshark 2 versions were crap.the stalled out all the time, erased your memory card, and never played any code except the ones from the factory.version 3 was the first one with the keyboard and had absolutely no problems.point 2: the people that say the codes don't work now are using version 4 codes on a version 3 gameshark, more than likely.if you want something to stay away from i can give it, the non-sony memory codes are worthless, they will erase your memory when taken from their ports.there, i've given alot of ideas on what to do to keep your bum covered, have a great day.

It has helped alot but I have gotten 4 errors before.
sllowage, drain, unbalenceness, and stalling.
BUT, when I was toggling with the system I put the speed & proformance (quality) to high and changed the version to 9.0.
and I haven't had a problem since.If you don't know how to do this I suggest you don't buy a gameshark 2.

Game Shark is no good!
After finding that the game shark really doesn't work as advertised. After reading instructions, no cheat codes seemed to work, and the performance of my PS2 went way down. I tried to return and could not get my money back and now am going to only shop where companies offer satisfaction guarantees.

I feel ripped off!

I got the gameshark for my PS2... my PS2 was working fine until I stuck this thing in here.Go to websites to get cheats... almost as good.I don't care what anyone says.This thing is NOT good for your systems.I spoke to a professional and he said the reason my PS2 stopped working was probably becuase of the Gameshark.... there could be no other reason... beside the fact that it is a poorly manufactured system (which I seem to disagree with).

Take a risk and this is still good to have.If you're lucky, it might not wreck your system.Look into it before buying it.

Anyway... to review it:

It has all of the cheats known to man.It is really cool, but remember the risk.

Carrying Crap More Like It!!
When first setting eyes on this case I was happier then a gay school boy until realizing its worthelss. Without any thoughts I bought it thinking it would be ideal for trips and long gaming ours on the road...Instead I ended the buy with turmoil. When I went to Chicago for a trip to a gaming convention I brought my Playstation 2 in the case. "Yes I can use it" I thought when unpackaging it. When I lifted the handle it instantly broke like some cheap chinese plastic. I was pissed but I still had hope. Thinking that the broken handle might have been a defect in my product I simply took the bag along. When pulling it out into my hotel I realized that it was lighter then it ever was. With a PS2 2 controllers and 3 games I thought It would be heavier. I then examined the bag closer...Hmmm it seems as if a hole on one of the side pockets had emerged. Thus I lost three of my favorite games. The hole was obviously due to cheap cloth issues that were used to make the bag. Again was angered but still stayed an optimist. Taking the bag to the convention to set up my deck (Kiosk-like booth) I sat the bag down and pulled on the zipper ever so slightly. What do you know its jammed. So I pulled a bit harder. Eventually it opened but was dissassembled from the other zipper string. "Oh Hell!!" I screamed and took my PS2 out of the bag and all the accessories and threw the bag in the trash. While coming home I put all my gear in a plastic back (Which ironically enough did not rip tear etc.). When coming back home I was dissapointed in my new carrying case inhope of a refund the dic*holes at Best Buy declined. So don't put yourself through this. If a plastic bag is more durable then the item that you are planning to buy, go for the plastic bag. This item is a piece of shi* and unless you want to spend $20 or $40 as I did then go for it. Just remember you could buy a new game and carry your PS2 in a plastic bag for only 10 cents.

PS2 Carrying Case
I bought this case about 7 months ago and I fell in love with it.When traveling back and forth to Detroit, MI, this bag made carrying around my PS2 a breeze.Instead of tucking it away in my luggage where it might get damaged, I could keep it safe right next to me.I noticed that most reviewers said that they could only fit 4 games inside of the PS2 case.Well, I manage to fit about 8-10 if I pack my PS2 in the case just right.It's all a matter of packing.This case is also very padded and comes with a secure strap to clip it down to the main compartment.

Overall, this is the best carrying case I have ever bought.I definitely give this best a 5-star rating.

Best PS2 Case
I first looked at this case at Electronics Boutique for $30 and decided not to buy it.I'm glad I did because I found it at Walmart a week later on sale for $15.

It's a little tight, but that's good because it won't slide around in there.It's supposed to hold 4 controllers, but I can only fit 2 in there because I have the network adaptor.But that's fine because I only have 2 controllers.It would be nice if it could hold a few more games (it only holds 4), but for $15, I'd still buy it.

Does not work with S video connection
The Game Sound System only works if your TV has RCA connections. I own a Pioneer Plasma Display (ADX1459) with S video inputs and RCA audio inputs. I use this Display for my computer (the few games I play on my pc), TV, DVD player. The system did not work on this Display, but when I connect it to my kids 13 inch TV with RCA inputs for video and audio it works just fine. If you connect using S video connections don't bother getting this cause it will not work.

I read all the reviews above and decided to take advantage of the thanksgiving sale to buy this sound system. I've already seen really small speakers with fantastic sound and hoped this would be close to that. Well, it's not. They're not bad or anything, they're just like having 2 more speakers. It's kind of pointless, might as well invest in real surround sound. These other reviewers must have [junky] TV's to think that the sound is actually improved with this system. If you just want more speakers you can get this, but it doesn't simulate surround sound like it advertises at all.

i was at first reluctant to buy this game, specially since it has so many bad reviews, but it works excellent for me, the sound quality is priceless, to set it up is quite easy and just takes a minute or two.
a previous reviewer said that the speakers are too close to the ps2 and generate a whole load of heat, well you can just slide the ps2 infront and then they won't be side to side.
the sound quality is unbelievable, the sharpness can leave you breathless.
i think its a good buy.

although this has double the capcitiy of a normal memory card why not get the one from Sony. No software requried to load and it works much faster too.

Don't Buy It!!!
If it were possible to give 0 Stars, I would. This memory card is THE biggest piece of garbage ever! You have to pop the cd EVERYtime you want to use it. And sometimes it takes you 10 minutes of restarting your PS2 for it to FINALLY read the freakin' thing. The price and the storage capacity may sound tempting, but its not. Don't buy it! You'll spend many frustrating minutes restarting your PS2 to get it to work. Plus, if you scratch it bad enough to where its not readable. Well, there goes all your saved stuff, because you can't even access the memory without it. DON'T BUY IT!!!

Pleasantly surprised
I was hesitant to spend $40 on this especially w/ the mixed reviews.I have a projection TV that is just too dark with my PS2 and DVD player.I bought a Monster Cable S-video cable and it helped but not much.I was worried it would fade out or distort the picture and I didn't want to go back to composite cables.The color is still rich and bright with no noticeable distortion.I would recommend this for anybody with a projection TV with a picture that is too dark but as for a tube or LCD TV you're better off with a set of quality cables.It's hard to find this product but I found mine on ebay and paid half the MSRP.Any questions you can e-mail me at jlnann68@hotmail.com

does the vge enhancer work
this enhancer does not do anything your tv cant. All that it does is let you adjust the contrast and brightness from a little machine. It makes the picture brighter, sometimes making it harder to view. when it says to use it when the picture is dark all it does is make the screen completey hazy. Your tv is the same thing as the vge enhancer. it does nothing. Do not buy it. it is the thing that microsoft and nintendo and sony worked to stop. it ruins the whole picture. I have opened up the vge enhancer and found nothing that would enhance a game. Ive found the components to make a tv brighter.

I was hoping that the view good reviews would be promising but this thing is CRUD!It doesn't even do whats advertised!Lightening color.I tried many times and enhanced mode, the suposed lighter color is normal!Un enhanced, the supposed normal is dim!

Don not even waste your money
I am lucky I didn't purchase this thing. A friend of mine bought it and I went over to check it out. I seen no difference than if you adjusted the contrast and such on your on your tv. If you want better picture quality..upgrade to S-video cables or buy a HDTV. Word of note..if buy a HDTV..make sure youget one that can atleast display 720p..480p is a good enhancment..but more and more games..espicially on the XBOX,have the 720p option..talk about outstanding clarity and greatly improved graphics.

VGE Video Game Enchancer
I can't believe how some people are knocking this product. I've been playing games for 18 yrs. I love the Dreamcast and Xbox. My TV. is less than a yr. old. I use it with the Xbox and my games are more visible and I can see improvement in the graphics. The Xbox is a Great system and I can still see improvement with this product. Efficient Thinking
I think that the SharkHub is second only to the Dual Shock Controller.My PS2 is the central feature of my entertainment center, and now thanks to the invention of the SharkHub it is also the central USBHub of my entertainment center.I just love the damn thing and can't figure out how the hell I managed without it.They've got some real smart, hard thinking individuals working over there at PS-Headquaters.I can't wait to see what accessories they'll be coming out with for the PS3.

So I suggest that if you have the $39.99 and you love what your PS2 does for your entertainment center, then your next PS2 investment should be the SharkHub.

Works great, Looks cool
I love this hub (as far as hubs go) It is the only way I could get my external drive to work correctly (powered hub).
It saved me the cost of a external power supply and the hassle of lugging around that extra stuff. Plus it looks cool with all those lights. It also has a removable stand.

Excellent product, excellent price.
I bought my first Mad Catz product - this memory card - about three years ago.Since then I've added to my collection of MC products everything from PS1 & PS2 controllers to multitaps to steering wheels.Mad Catz products are less expensive than Sony's, and every bit as good quality.I've *never* had an MC product go bad on me - including the many items I've bought used on auction sites.I don't doubt a bit that the reviews written by users who say that their Mad Catz items were "broken within a week" were sorely abused - probably thrown across the room every time they lost a game.Take care of your stuff, and it will last. Mad Catz makes great products, give 'em a try and you'll see the same.

Mad Catz Bad News
Me And My Friends Decided To Save Some Money And Buy Mad Catz Products (Controlers And This Memory Card) The Controllers Were Dead Within The Week Every Thing From the Top Left and Right Bottons Not Working To the Analog sticks and the rumble feature. And The Memory card last quite a bit longer but also gave out on me i have had it for about 2 years now and had no problems with it it never left slot 1 on my console and just the other day it crashed on me the card was not abused in any way was no were near full so now Im waiting foir my next check to get an Offical Sony Card And Wish The I Could Recover the 53 hours I put in to Kingdom Hearts And the 30 hours i put in to Soulcaliber 2 And the 40 hours in to GTA Vice City So You can buy this card save a cople of bucks but when it goes out on you and you lose hours worth of gameplay how much are you really saveing?

Very Good Choice
Hi This racing wheel is very good, it also works very good, you can use this wheel on almost every gane for Playstation 2 and in playstation one also as you see in most reviews the ratings are the highest or the lowest its not their fault that it doesn't work well it is just that maybe when toysrus was loaf=ding it from the truck it might have bump into somethimg, and not work properly. Also if you want to feel how you real drive this is the weel for you, and this wheel is unique because you can only find it in Toysrus for now. Great Steering Wheel!
My cousin has it, and I love it! I'm saving up to buy one right now. I didn't use it a lot, but he says he's encountered minor problems, and rarely at that.
