1-0 out of 5 stars What's Up With This Doc?
This is (bottom line) the WORST basket ball game ever made. You can't have any playoffs or trade teams or anything that most basket ball games have to offer, basically because there's only 2 teams. 2! What is that? You can only play 2 on 2 or 3 on 3 which makes the replay value go down the drain. All you can do after a while is Bugs and Daffy vs. 2 of those demented aliens or whatever combination you happen to come up with. The teams are so unevenly matched, the Monstars are slow, have bad shooting, and are the [worst] ball players I've ever seen and suddenly Porky Pig is able to do a 360 degree slam dunk. In the movie, the Monstars dominated the game 99% of the time, but since this is aimed towards kids, the good side is the best. The animation is very subpar (2D on PSX?), the music is very badly done and it's over all just a boring, quickly thrown together game. I despise that spotlight hogging rabbit, Bugs almost as much as I do this game. Bugs and Space Jam for PSX down, Daffy Duck forever!

5-0 out of 5 stars If you wanna Jam, This is the game for you!
I've got this game and it rules, it's very similar to NBA JAM on the super nintendo. You know how it is, the monstars steal talent from the NBA players and vs the looney tunes in a basketball game.

You can play as either team, the monstars (which are not very good, and they can't do special dunks) or the tune squad (which are a lot better, and they do real cool dunks). In between each period you can play mini games, some are good and some are bad, but they're good to have for a little more fun and they can make you faster, stronger or better at rebounds which is even better. Besides that you can play the single player game there is another option called intergalactic tournament, where 2 players can vs each other. This is probably the best feature of the game, which is great fun. It is 2-dimensional but i think it is better like that. There is one last thing, you can do some real cool dunks with the toon squad.

Overall i give it 9 out of 10!

P.S the reason i gave it 9 and not 10 is because there should be more things to do, but it's still great!

4-0 out of 5 stars THIS GAME IS THE BOMB!!!
I highly recommend this game for anyone who likes to have fun. This is one of the best games I have ever played. The graphics are awsome and the price was very reasonable.I am so glad I bought this game.

P.S. You definitely won't regret buying this game. ... Read more

Editorial Review

Superb graphics and fast action characterize 989 Studios' daredevil motocross game Jet Moto 3. Designed for one or two players, this game expands on the original two Jet Moto games with improved visuals and controls.

After choosing from a selection of characters (each with varying strengths), you can traverse four different courses using a futuristic all-terrain cycle. The well-designed tracks will challenge even veterans of the earlier Jet Moto titles. You will feel the cycle slipping on the ice of the Khumbu Icefall and develop a lump in your stomach as you jump over Devil's Canyon. On the down side, close-up views are difficult to manage, as the field of vision can easily be lost. This is especially a problem in the two-player, split-screen view.

While some gamers may grow tired of this game fairly quickly, there is enough meat here to keep racing fans interested until the courses are mastered. Learning the subtleties of each course can prepare hard-core racers for the game's more advanced seasonal competitions and racing circuits. --Sal Barcia

Pros:

  • Superb graphics
  • Design improved over previous Jet Moto titles
Cons:
  • Close-up views are difficult to manage
  • Non-racing fans may grow bored quickly

5-0 out of 5 stars this game shows me what speed is toward my hands
this game is gooood its twice better than jet moto 1 or 2, (well im not sure of that because i forgot how jet moto 2 is.) alot as how ive seen in this webiste mentions that jet moto 2 is quite best than jet moto 1 and 3, but if you are someone that wants to have new jet motors, good features, outstanting, creative racetracks, than this is the game for you.
what was funny is that i taught this game was going to be a normal race game like any other.. like if i would start in a normal lowering speed as how you normally do when you speed up with a car. but, when i accelerate on this game.. you start speedin up already and goin out there crazy! this game is real wild. myself,i enjoy the game because it feels good going in a good high speed, even when your starting off from the beginning. in a few minutes when i played the game, i got used to the controlling. i find it easy but what is really fun is the way you can ride on something so fast while making a challenge with many other different racers on the game.
the game is interesting while hearing the great good quality music the game gives from each level. that is something that makes me like games.. thing is, the music expresses each level of the game. my favorite are from the khambu race track (the racetrack with the iceroads). as a matter of fact, i like all the songs. they are all great. makes me wanna turn my surround speakers and pump it up.
as how ive said, the game is good, its really good. this is a great experience to speed... especially on my own hands. if you try this game, make sure you get jet moto 2.

2-0 out of 5 stars Stick with JM 1&2
Go back NOW!JM3 is a marketing ploy. The first two Motos are great; the physics of the bikes are realistic. The third one, however, goes off of the deep end.Control of the bikes is jerky and the graphics aren't fluid.I bought JM3 because I had so much fun with the other two...... big mistake! This one should have been the first... a lot of kinks still needing to be worked out.The worst game in my collection.

4-0 out of 5 stars If it's action you want, you'll find it here
I guess I don't know where to begin. This game is really good. It's got its share of flaws but it's still fun. The good sides first. The gameplay has a really fast, fluent style and the grapples work much better than they did in the previous game. The novice courses aren't too hard, but they get harder. Catacombs seems like a pure nightmare at first. Then, the professional courses get even harder. The Machu Picchu course is out of control and almost every part of the terrain is extremely narrow. I won't tell you what happens after you beat Professional mode. Another fun thing is the stunt courses you get when beating certain levels of the game like the deformed Circus Park you get for beating Semi-pro mode. The graphics aren't the greatest in the world, but they do. But the thing is, if you don't have a memory card, you'll get pretty sick of the game because you need to save your progress on a memory card, or you'll be playing Novice courses the whole time which isn't much fun. Also, some of the courses are extremely hard to figure out like they don't have a set path. Courses like Shipwreck Cove, Volcano Island, and Machu Picchu can be very hard to understand at first because the levels are too open. Besides that, it's a blast. Buy it but get a memory card too.

1-0 out of 5 stars This one has run out of gas...
Jet Moto 3 unfortunately comes up short in comparison to the first two games. The control is kinda iffy, the graphics aren't really that great, and the two player mode is unbearable.Do yourself a favor and go afterthe first two instead, they're much better constructed than this one.

3-0 out of 5 stars One more thought on JM3
My first post "Jet Moto 1 and 2 were great, but JM3 fell a little short"(or at least I remember calling it something like that) says it all.Well, it actually says *most* of it.I just thought I should add something very key:this game can be very frustrating. It's hard tomaster- especially if you're used to the first 2 Jet Motos.Once you learnit, this game can be very amusing; although the crash detection will mostlikely always be annoying.

I also noticed that, just like with the first2 JMs, two player mode really is awful. No matter which way the screen issplit, you practically have tunnel vision and is can be very dizzying(andimpossible).Well, just a thought. ... Read more

Pedal power meets polygons in this no-holds-barred cyclingexperience. Not just another racing game, this title successfullycaptures the essence and devil-may-care style of competition mountainbike racing.

The menu screens feature clanging guitars and jolting graphics that putyou in the mood for adrenaline-rushing action. Once you hit the slope, you'll immediately encounter high-speed rough-and-tumble racingfeaturing huge jumps and varied terrain. From riverbeds to steep cityroads, No Fear Downhill Mountain Bike Racing is filled withchallenging race environments. While the graphics aren't as crisp asthey could be, the speed is certainly here, and when players switch toa behind-the-handlebars viewpoint they'll know what it's like to treadthe thin line between fear and control.

Six riders are available, each flaunting personality and differentstrengths. Upgrades such as lighter frames or better tires are awardedafter beating three separate opponents on each track.

A strength meter decreases after holding the pedal button down for longperiods of time. Players will learn to let the bike coast on downhillsegments, supplying the riders with bursts of strength for pedaling onflat or uphill segments. This strategy, mixed with the visceral thrillof racing, makes No Fear Downhill Mountain Bike Racing anexhilarating experience. --Jeff Young

Pros:

  • Cool riders, each sporting the latest outfits and bikes
  • Precise control
  • Variety of levels keeps the gameplay fresh

Cons:

  • Blurry graphics can make distinguishing terrain changes difficult

5-0 out of 5 stars A game that makes you a better biker... HOW CAN THIS BE?!?
This game is allot of fun. As a Dual Slalom rider/BMX cruiser rider as well as a PSX enthusiast i can say that this game is really chanllenging. Infact I have never cleared all of the courses to make it to the 3rd and final elite mode for the trails and courses... this is extreemly technical and will make you a better downhill 'thinker' if that makes sense... one downside to this game is that the trick function is next to impossible to master... as far as i know there is no game guide or cheatcodes available for this game making it even more of a challenge...

5-0 out of 5 stars Not a bad game:
The only thing I didn't like about this game was the graphics. The controls are easy. The competition is hard which makes it fun. Youn will like it.

5-0 out of 5 stars Endlessly Adicted
I purchased this game....When it arrived i opened it up right away and started playing. Its awsome everythings very realistic, the wreaks, the sound, the graphics, the gameplay. If you are into extreme sports this is the buy for you, and it has great replay value, so you'll never get tired of it! This is a Great Buy!

4-0 out of 5 stars Hey! This game doesn't stink!
A surprisingly good game. My wife even likes it! As a cyclist i was surprised by the high level of realism in the game.A player can actually exert subtle physical control over the bike- such as standing whilehammering the pedals, sitting back for improved braking and increased"endurance"- and have the expected result. All in all a goodgame.

5-0 out of 5 stars very very fun!

The Madden series is by far the most popular NFL console-gamefranchise in North America. It is the game of choice among many active andformer NFL players, and has been a mainstay on most gaming platforms for close toa decade. And this year's version for the PlayStation, Madden NFL 2001,is amazing--it's even better than the incredible Nintendo 64 version of the samename.

In terms of playability, EA Sports has added some nice new features. Players arerewarded with collectable in-game Madden Cards by performing certain tasks, which can be used to unlock secret game codes, players, stadiums, and legendaryNFL teams. Also, you can trade those cards with friends using the PlayStationmemory card. Enhancing the replayability of Madden NFL 2001 is a newtwo-minute drill feature that allows up to 10 players to compete for the highestscore.

The game does have a couple of trouble areas. The CPU play isn't all thatsynched with the gameplay, resulting in some very strange calls and plays. JohnMadden's commentary is stocked with only a few phrases, which are used adnauseam. While not perfect, the sound effects and crowd noises are stillpreferable to the whiny blips of the N64 version. --Todd Mowatt

Pros:

  • Collectable Madden Cards can be used to unlock secret game codes, players, stadiums, and teams
  • New two-minute drill feature
Cons:
  • CPU sometimes makes very strange calls and plays
  • Repetitive Madden phrases

4-0 out of 5 stars Mad About Madden!
Madden NFL 2001 is an excellent football game.If you like football, and you like playing it as a video game, you'll love the best game in the league. The gameplay is better than its competitor, 989 Sports, and I feel I can get into the game more.No cheerleader pictures, like on NFL GameDay, so you can stick to football. The different modes (Practice, 2-Minute Drill, etc) and Madden Cards (reward system for completing various tasks) help make this game a powerhouse. You won't be disappointed with Madden.

4-0 out of 5 stars Touchdown !
This game is the bomb! It has great plays, great graphics, and my favorite team (miami dolphins) is one of the best. The bad thing about this game is every once and a while it freezes. Than after a minute it comes back. But overall, this is a cool game.

5-0 out of 5 stars one of the best games ive played
the game is great.the graphics arent that good but the good gameplay makes up for it.my favorite features are create a play, create a team and,Franchise mode.a hint in frachise mode is in the pre season chose the super bowl champs, runner up in the supper bowl, and chose the 3 divsion champs from the afc,or nfc so your rookie players gain experinceeven if the lose.any way this is a great game

2-0 out of 5 stars MAJOR GLITCH RUINS BEST FOOTBALL GAME EVER PLAYED
FIRST OFF , I WOULD LIKE TO SAY THAT 90% OF THIS GAME IS EXCELLENT... NOW FOR THE OTHER 10%; THIS GAME HAS A VERY!!!! ANNOYING HABIT OF FREEZING UP WHILE PLAYING. I DONT MEAN "HERE AND THERE"; IT'S RATHER CONSISTANT..... LIKE EVERY 4TH QTR YOU'RE IN THE LEAD AND WHEN YOUR CPU OPPONENT SNAPS THE BALL THE QB HANGS ON TO THE BALL (WITHOUT SNAPPING) AND YOUR PLAYERS GO AFTER THE STATIONARY QB TO NO AVAIL... AT THIS POINT YOU CAN DO NOTHING TO "JAR" THE CPU TO CONTINUE... GAME OVER. YOU MUST QUIT IF YOU WANT TO PLAY ANYMORE(WHICH YOU WONT AFTER THIS HAPPENS 6 OR 7 TIMES ESPECIALLY IF YOURE PLAYING SEASON ). THE REAL EXCELLENCE OF THIS GAME WEARS OFF (UNFORTUNATELY) BECAUSE OF THESE "FREEZES"IN SHORT ,I WOULD REALLY LOVE THIS GAME IF IT DIDNT SCREW UP ALL THE TIME .... REALLY!!!!!!TOTAL BUMMER. ... As retro gaming continues to increase in popularity, many classic arcade games are getting a modern-day facelift. The latest 2-D coin-op classic to enter the 3-D era is Atari's Centipede, which now allows you to wander through a wide-ranging environment filled with cantankerous centipedes, sneaky spiders, and other deadly enemies.

Gameplay varies considerably from the original game. While your goal is to still to shoot and survive, there are now six worlds and 30 levels to conquer. Retro gaming purists may scoff at the colorful new environments, which have replaced the generic black background of the original game. However, the 3-D game design now allows for dangerous enemies to creep up from any angle (which they often do). Fortunately, the controls have also been updated to allow you to strategically jump over approaching enemies. --Brett Atwood

Pros:

  • Impressive 3-D update to classic arcade favorite
  • Multiplayer support (up to 4 players)
Cons:
  • Controls may confuse some players

1-0 out of 5 stars The Greatest Disappointment of all Time
The old classic arcade game Centipede; truly one of the greatest games in video game history. When I heard of the Playstation title coming, I immediatley had to buy a copy of it. As soon as I got my hands on it, for a very low price, it was the first thing I did when I got home, only to play the greatest disappointment I have ever seen.

As my eyes met the screen, I viewed the most boring ... color-textures I have ever seen in a video game. A dorky little 7 year old, with way too large glasses and freaky haircut, who was the chosen one to rid the world of the centipedes. Not much of a storyline; it was more amusing to play Centipede without a story in the arcade. And like I said, the graphics were terrible. All was blocky, untextured and really showed proof that it was carelessly animated by a group of amateurs.

Getting past the horrible graphics and boring storyline, lets move on to the term they call 'sound' in the game. It has to be a cold day in hell when squeaky, toneless, flarvorless bits of crunchy tunes and smushed talking has to be looked at as sound. Besides the crunched up sound, the boring gameplay consists of rescuing tiny pipsqueaks and 'protecting' their houses from the jumping spiders (which also look and sound incredibly [weak]). Parts of the game also consist of driving around aimlessly, so do yourself and your money a favor...don't waste a penny on this game.

5-0 out of 5 stars oldtime fun
excitement, adventure and skills.Anticipation of what is going to happen next. The graphics are extrodinary. Fast pace.

2-0 out of 5 stars Only the classic version is worth playing, all else bad!
Highly disappointing! The two player mode is not simultaneous, so you have to take turns playing, and the two player mode only works in the classic version, not in the newer looking "3-D" version that is only aone player game! What a rip-off!

The only saving grace is that this hasa decent version of the classic Centipede arcade version from the early1980's. This is still very primitive video game fun, if you liked playingit back then.

If you buy this, understand that only the classic versionwill be any fun. The new version is very sluggish and low-tech looking fora 3-D game.

3-0 out of 5 stars Centipede gets a 32-bit facelift
There is no doubt that the original Centipede is one of the most insanely addictive arcade games ever designed. The Playstation release of Centipede includes the classic game plus a newly updated 3D version. The new versionof the game is interesting, allowing you to move anywhere on the playfieldas you blast away at centipedes and mushrooms. Although I love the classicgame, the new version just didn't hold my interest for very long. Havingsaid that, because of the simple objectives involved, I do think this gamemight be enjoyed by younger and more casual game players. Incidentally, theclassic version of Centipede in this package plays brilliantly with theDual Shock controller. All in all, a good but not great effort.

5-0 out of 5 stars quick draw
challenging, fast paced game remake of the origional.Suprising, twists and turns of the bugs that you battle. The only drawback is that you can't save progress after every sub level. ... Read more

4-0 out of 5 stars A great game!
My 4-year-old brother, mom, and I all love to play this game. My brother likes it because it's pretty simple and you get to destroy (drill through) stuff. I like it because it's a challenge, but not too challenging, and very fun to do and see. My mom likes it because it's cute, basicly.

We also named some of the different kinds of blocks you see in the game- for instance, melted jellybean, ice cream (or whipped cream), sick (or icky), and ice cube.

If you like this game, you'll also love Spin Jam. We bought these two games at the same time, having rented them many times before. I was so happy to find them on the internet!

4-0 out of 5 stars Drill me another, please!
Wow, who could have thought that something as simple and cute as this game is sooooo addictive. You must drill down, trying to escape falling blocks as they fall 'Tetris' style whilst trying to keep your oxygen levels up at the same time. The graphics are great for this simple game, the background music enhances the fun. Does get harder the deeper you dig. RECOMMENDED FOR ALL AGES!

1-0 out of 5 stars Mr. Driller has no positive aspect whatsoever
I'll put it simple, it's the worst game on the face of the earth. It's also a waste of money.

3-0 out of 5 stars Yeah, it's addictive....
...but lacks something that other great puzzle games have:In most addictive puzzle games, you keep finding new ways to improve your game (i.e., "Oh!I didn't know you could slide a piece in sideways!").Once you play for an hour or so, you probably will have figured out all the tricks. It's fun, alright, but not where-did-the-time-go fun.

The game goes like this:You start out at the top of an endless supply of multi-colored bricks--kinda like standing at the top of a filled Tetris screen.Your objective is to drill down as far as possible without getting crushed by the falling bricks above you.Your drill destroys one brick at a time (either below, to the right, to the left, or above you).If there are unsupported bricks above the one you destroyed, those will fall.Bricks of the same color, in goups of four or more, will evaporate, and unsupported bricks above those will fall. This is what can result in some satisfying, or fatal, chain reactions. All of this is complicated by the fact that you have to keep finding air capsules to breath as you descend....if you run out of air, you are dead.

A critical shortcoming is the lack of a two-player option.A competitive version would have added to the value of this game.Perhaps they are saving that for the sequel. For great puzzle gameplay with a higher addiction level, I recommend Geom Cube and the Bust-A-Move puzzle games (both of which have great 2-player options). If you already have these, then Mr. Driller isn't a bad choice at all.

5-0 out of 5 stars Easy to learn - addictive gameplay
A very simple game with very easy controls yet addictive. There are several different gameplays (timed, arcade, survival) and each with theirown goals. You basically attempt to take Mr. Driller down as many levelsas you can in the meantime avoiding falling blocks and picking up aircapsuls. There isn't a whole lot of strategy involved although as you movealong you learn how the blocks react to your actions.Except for the Timedmode - its not about speed but strategy - of course I spent most of my timejust moving as quickly as I could and laughing at the consequences.

Non-violent, fun game for kid's and adults alike. ... Read more

3-0 out of 5 stars My 6 year old and I love this game
Well, it's got all the flaws the other reviewers mention.
BUT, it's been very fun for my 5 year old and I to play...it's really nonviolent, as when Croc stomps the Dantinis their eyes still blink like they don't understand what happened. It's also got a lot of little puzzles, so it's not this frenetic crazy action game. And the music is nice too.

So despite all the flaws, we really like this game a lot and have looked for a Croc 3 to show up. It's cute and charming and that's what I want with a small child.

1-0 out of 5 stars OMG I have never played a worse game in my LIFE!!!
i CAN'T UNDERSTAND AT ALL WHY 1 PERSOM WOULD ENJOY THIS GAME.

The basic dialouge in this gams is nothing. The creaters decided rather than taking some effort in finding voice actors. They have words flash on the bottom of the screen. HOW DO CHILDREN WHO HAVE DIFFICULTY READING AT A SPEED OF 4 WORDS PER SECOND PLAY THIS?? Croc's movement is extremely unforgiving to a slightly short or off balance jump. The camera is so screwed you will probably smash your playstation in two.

Overall description: WTF!?

4-0 out of 5 stars Recomended for 9 - 12year olds
Don't buy this for very young ones because it will be too hard for them. When Croc runs it's very sencitive so when you tap left Croc will do a full turn. You will die because health is limited but you will get used to this if you're truely talented at games. My first game was Crash Bandicoot 1(back in 97/98)and on my first go I could control the character with ease and I beat my friends at games when they had a Playstation for 2 years. My point is if you've a son/daughter and they've got a simular story and they're talented at games then get this after Croc 1 and I know adults will enjoy this as well.

I don't think Croc 3 wasn't released because Croc 2 was rubbish.

If you like this checkout Crash Bandicoot 1/2/3.
Tenchu 1(this isn't for kids).

1-0 out of 5 stars CROC 2 FAN WARNING
Straight up, this is a sub-standard 3-D environment game, lacking originality and fun, looking to catch the little kids with its high cute factor. If you want an action game, this isn't the place to look. This game is my worst PlayStation game EVER!

3-0 out of 5 stars Not So Good, But Not So Bad.

out. It's kind of a 50-50 sort of game. ... Read more

Amazon.com Review

A rudimentary 2-D fighting game loosely based on several of theGundam Japanese animated series and movies, Gundam Battle Assault isn't the game that fans would have hoped for, and is definitely notfor casual gamers who don't know what the heck a Gundam is. The game'sone-on-one combat is between giant robots known as "mobile suits." They can fly up intothe air--the screen scrolls vertically to follow the action, providing a littleextra headroom in the cramped 2-D arenas--but there's really nothing about thegameplay here that you haven't seen before and played ad nauseam.

Originally released in Japan in 1998, Gundam Battle Assault definitelyreeks a bit upon its stateside arrival two years later. While the graphics andsound are certainly colorful and mostly faithful to the animated shows, they areunremarkable at best, and, compared to more recent games in the fighting genre, this title is about as bare bones as they come in terms of features, options, and extras. Only two modes of play are available: the requisite two-playerversus mode, and a one-player story mode that follows a poorly scripted plotsure to confound Gundam saga newbies and irritate veteran fans with itsillogical absurdity. --Joe Hon

Pros:

  • Features characters and mobile suits from the various Gundam cartoons
Cons:
  • Uninspired gameplay
  • Unremarkable graphics and sound
  • Minimal game features, options, and extras
  • Story mode's poorly scripted plot will either confound or irritate fans

3-0 out of 5 stars Not the best; not the worst.
This game has the Mobile Suits of the gundam series, but it just isn't up to my standards. The graphics, concerning gundams, are good. All the gundams and other mobile suits look good.If I hadn't bought this game already I would just get the second one because it is much better. The second one has many of the same characters, but it has a better story mode.I think this gundam game is just for the gundam collectors.I would compare it to DBZ Ultimate Battle 22: the best quality is the detailed drawings of the characters.

4-0 out of 5 stars Nonsense and a half
The plot will make any Gundam fan seethe, Hiiro Yui is a slimeball, and I get very angry when he takes the controls of the Zeta. The plot is utter nonsense, as it seems that since the story takes place in A.C 19X, that there was some large dimensional shift, dumping characters from Universal Century 0079 to 0093 on said Slimeball's doorstep. As it's been said in every review, Hiiro is of course, not an original character to this game. The dialogue is absolutely atrocious, as respected characters surrender to "The Perfect Soldier".It seems it was written by a person who had never seen any of the Gundam series, and had no idea of who these characters are.Sometimes I feel so guilty about people like Char or Hamarn losing to Hiiro that I just lose on purpose. No, I really mean it.I especially like Camille's ending speech. That's Camille Vidan, The Strongest Newtype Ever.Well, play it for yourself and find out.
Well, how does it play?
It's an average fighter game. The number of moves are highly lacking, and not especially original. The screen's are a bit on the small side, for a mobile suit battle. The suits can fly around, but not for very long, which is, well, silly. The beam saber attack takes way too long to charge up, and it's weak.Again, that's silly. It would be nice to be able to set a match length, as the fights are one match bouts.
On the other hand, the animation is quite well done. The movements of the mobile suits are true to the show. You know how the beam saber is stored in the Qubeley? It's the same in the game.
Contrary to a previous review, this game has a lot of replay potential. There are some fun characters to unlock.
And another thing. The Mobile Armors are tiny. They are very tiny in this game.I mean, they're big, I suppose, but not at all to scale. They are tiny.
This game has fun to it, but it sure put me off Bandai's localization work for a while.

1-0 out of 5 stars A fairly bad try
I was excited when I saw this game, and for about 10 minutes was really pleased. But as I got further into to it, I found the game slow and boring. What really angered me is that you can only be Heero in story mode. There are other important pilots in the Gundam series like say - oh I don't know - Amaro Ray?Ever heard of him game?Apparently the first New Type wasn't good enough to be featured in the story version of this game.Another problem was that the playing fields are way to small, but I give major props for getting the scale of the characters in relation to one another correct and the overall variety of characters to choose from. The only other good point about this game is the graphics are quite nice. But it's lack of replay value (something important in all fighting games) and paucity of any real challenge is quite a let down from an anime series that should not be too hard from which to make a great game.Though I hear the sequel to this game is much better, I don't see how it could be any worse.

4-0 out of 5 stars Gyan M.S. 15
I bought this game about 6 months ago, but it was recently that I got into the game. Great detaled 2D game play and a Great group of Mobile suits Like Hy-gogg, Sazabi, and the Z Gundams. And if I missed your Favorite Mobile Suit i'm sorry. There isn't a very good story to the game, the game play is slightly unusual, and theres not that much strategy when it comes down to the mobil suit itself not till you figure out there weakness then theres strategy. But then if you are wondering wy I gave this game 4 stars (it's really 4 1/2 Stars)? It just comes down to just plain kicking each others [rears]. So thats My Review you be shure to read other reviews from me and other Critics.

5-0 out of 5 stars Gundam fanatic!
If you like Gundam 0079, 0080, 0083, and Gundam Wing
you will "LOVE" this game. My favorite mobile suie is
Sazabi and if you want all the characters you have to
get the Game Shark so you can get characters like Hydra
and Psycho. I only got this game a few days ago and I
can't stop playing. So if your a big Gundam fan like me
I definitely think you should buy it. ... Read more

3-0 out of 5 stars Room for improvement
This series has the best batter-pitcher interface, and graphics, but that's about all.The defense and base-running are terrible! It's pretty easy to use a conservative swing and go the other way, but the way the ball reacts after being hit is not good. These guys should team up with High Heat Baseball and make a game together.High Heat has a similar interface for the pitcher and batter, but playing against the computer is no fun.I've been playing baseball games since the original RBI, which is still the best American released baseball game ever.I've owned and played at least 25 different bsaeball games.I own a Japanese game called World Stadium 4, which is by far the best I've played. The graphics are cartoon like, but the gameplay is awesome. If the American makers want to improve their games rather than just adding new rosters, the should check out the World Stadium series which I think evolved from RBI baseball.

4-0 out of 5 stars Pretty good game, but still kinda sucks.
The best part is that you can "earn" legends such as Babe Ruth, Gehrig, Aaron, Mays, Satchel Paige, Cy Young, etc. Other than that, there isn't anything special. HEY ELECTRONIC ARTS, HOW ABOUT SOME "ALL TIME" TEAMS?

4-0 out of 5 stars Better Than Playstation 2 Triple Play
I bought Triple Play Baseball for the PS2 and it was so bad that I sold it and bought Triple Play 2001 for PS.It's better in just about every way (except for stadium graphics).

5-0 out of 5 stars Greatest game ever!
This is one of the best sports games available. It is up to date with all the players, has great graphics, and is really fun.The announcers know everything that happens. You get cool rewards like fast players, strong arm, invisibility , and a lot more.Plus you get to play with all the legendary players like Babe Ruth, Hank Aaron, and lots more.Overall this game is really good.

5-0 out of 5 stars Triple Play 2001
EA SPORTS has created a wonderful game here. The wonderful graphics and smooth gamplay truly make it a great buy. From the minute you put the vibrant disc into your Playstation Console you know you are going to be hooked. The game starts out with a cool movie which the graphics will blow your mind. Then after the movie, you will be taken to the Triple Play 2001 main menu. This were you pick what type of game you would like to play. You can play a Single Game, Season, Playoffs, Big League Challenge, or Home Run Legends. Each of them equally fun.You will see when you enter a game mode that the game is pretty tough, but you'll get used to it.You will also find out that there are controls for basically everything you would want to do during a regular baseball game. You can choose between all types of choices, including stadium choices, camera angles and many more. This game is most definitely well worth buying, and I hope you have just as much fun playing it as I do. ... 1-0 out of 5 stars bass???? or marlin??????
What the heck is this game about, you fish for bass in a lake and then you fish for marlin to, But to catch a marlin you catch it on a piece of bread................ nOW YOU TELL ME, DO YOU WANT TO BUY THIS GAME?????????????????

4-0 out of 5 stars Good Fishing
I haven't played This game.. but have played then separately... I Loved Blue Marlin, it was a blast from the start..and Balck bass is harder,,but if you are a fisherman and apply the right techniques... well u WILL be rewarded!!

1-0 out of 5 stars Not to Happy
This game has been a joke from the start. For starters it came out about a year late and I bought it as soon as it came out and have yet to catch a bass in the free fishing mode or tournament mode.I do like the marlinfishing part of the game but I think that is because I can't catch any fishin the bass fishing part of the game. This was a very disapointing purchaseon my part because I enjoyed their other games very much.

5-0 out of 5 stars Realistic Fishing Game - The best fishing game yet
The new Black Bass game is great! The lakes are realistic and the detail is incredible. Just like real fishing.Finding the fish, casting and reeling is just like being on the water. This game is a keeper!

1-0 out of 5 stars You Couldn't Trade This Game For ASack Of Manure!
Please, absolutely do not get this game.It is nearly impossible to catch a fish and/or land a fish. The folks at HotB have thrown a major dud out there on the market with this game.I would rate this as less than 1 star but the rating system doesn't go that low...

You will definatelyhave more luck today if you would actually go fishing because, at leastthat way, you at least have a chance at catching a fish. ... Read more

Ready to go fishin'? Championship Bass from EA Sports isa great catch--even for non-anglers. This game is loaded with lures andfishing options like water temperature, time of day, time of year, watercolor and even how smart the fish are, but it's the fish fights that aretruly remarkable.

Depending on the size of your catch, battles with bass can last 20minutes or more as you raise and lower the rod, let the reel spool free, and tighten it in to bring home your catch. We recommend using anoptional fishing-rod controller for even more realism.

With four sweeping lakes to tackle, players have plenty of locations tosearch for the big one. Tournament and career modes pit gamers againstcomputer fishermen as they try to catch the heaviest five bass within aset time limit. Bluegills and catfish also fill the lakes, but it's thebig bass that players will be after. --Robb Guido

Pros:

  • Go anywhere--lakes are full of bass
  • Great fish fights
  • Lures galore
Cons:
  • Landing a bass can be painful, especially if you're using the wronglure
  • No two-player mode

4-0 out of 5 stars Thanks to this game I am now a world class bass fisherman!
(This text refers to the PC version of this game)
Okay... you got me.... I exagerated about being a world class bass fisherman, but isn't that what it's all about anyway? Great pc game. Fun, challenging, addictive, and strangly educational for the bass ignorant (like me). The bigger they are the harder they are to land.Good graphics too.Better than the playstation version for a couple of reasons: 1) There are many more lakes to choose from and they are modeled after actual lakes in the U.S.2) The behavior of the fish seems to be more realistic (possibly due to more memory?).
You'll enjoy it.

Amazon.com Review

Ubi Soft's Rayman character is the Rodney Dangerfield of action-platformcharacters. While smart, funny, and very hip, the poor little guy just can't getany respect from most gamers. It's hard to see why, as the little guy hasstarred in some of the finest platformers (both 2-D and 3-D) gaming has seen insome time.

Basically a direct port of the incredible Nintendo 64, PC, and Dreamcastversions, the PlayStation's RayMan 2: The Great Escape has a lot goingfor it. Great gameplay, amazing visuals, and outstanding sound all combine tomake this platform title kick butt. As the Rayman 2: The Great Escapestory goes, evil mechanical pirates, led by Razorbeard, have enslaved theinhabitants of Rayman's world. You must help Rayman collect four magical masksto wake up a god who will make those pirates walk the plank.

Rayman 2: The Great Escape is a lot of fun, and as you make your waythrough the adventure, you must pick up fragments of energy called "lums." Alongthe way, you will also be required to free cute characters that have been put incages and enslaved by the evil pirates.

There is plenty of eye candy in Rayman 2: The Great Escape, the upbeatmusic is a joy to listen to, and the voice work is one of the best parts of thegame. The control scheme is very intuitive, which is essential for anyplatformer. It's very easy to pick up, but even the best gamer will still lovemastering the environments.

Rayman 2: The Great Escape is one of the best platform games ever madefor the PlayStation. The game is challenging and addictive, and will appeal togamers of all skill levels. --Todd Mowatt

4-0 out of 5 stars the music reminds me of something
If you can remember the music in the last levels and the last boss, go on cd or music and search Bizzy Bone... on the album Heaven'z movie click on the samples "the roof is on fire" and "social studies"and the musics sounds like it.
I prefer the 2D version(when you walk sideways)called Rayman 1.

4-0 out of 5 stars Rayman 2 ~ The Great Escape
A pleasant platform experience from the best of your dreams...

Plot:

Pirate robots have invaded Rayman's rain forest world, and destroyed its core. It is your job to gather the fragments of that core and restore it. All of the villains and most of the locales are pirate-themed.

Graphics:

This game was released on both the N64 & PSX. The N64 version supported the expansion pack, so the graphics looked much smoother and better quality than on PSX. The severely polygonal, retrograde graphics in the PSX version are terribly disappointing.

Otherwise, the graphics are something you might make up in one of your fondest dreams, and there is extreme attention to detail, in lighting and shadowing, like little fire flies flitting about and what-have-you. The water even looks nice and ripply, like you can see every ripple.

Machines are depicted in all of their smoke-spewing, oil-dripping horror, every grate made to look like a set of prison bars...of course, it is all supposed to be from a rain forest inhabitant's perspective.

Sound:

Dreamy and foreboding environments are backed with appropriate music. Most of the music is ambient, battle themes are reasonably upbeat, and they squeeze some chillin' jazz in there, too.

Voiceovers are done in whatever selection you make, English, French, or German. The French voice-overs are the best, and as a matter of fact, they are backed by English subtitles on the N64 version, by default.

Again, the sound quality is MUCH better on the N64 version than on the PSX version.

Gameplay:

Pretty simple, you have your walk, run, jump, hover jump...you attack by shooting or throwing spheres of light, Dragon Ball Z style...and you can lock onto enemy targets. The 3D aspects of the game add little to it, however, as the three dimensions are only useful in dodging attacks left and right, otherwise, the levels are linear and could easily have been done as a 2D side scroller without sacrificing any graphical prettiness.

Also, the level designs between the N64 and PSX versions differ...the N64 version has better level designs. For example, in the N64 version, the residence of the Water Deity is in The Temple of Ice and Water; however, in the PSX version, you find the Water Deity at Whale Bay...Whale !@#$ Bay! (How LAME is that?!)

Overall:

A nice platformer, especially if you can still get your hands on the N64 version. All of this game's qualities are best on the N64.

5-0 out of 5 stars RAYMAN 2- A SURE FIRE A+ FOR UBISOFT
Ok so Rayman is captured and taken to a Robo Pirate prison ground where you escape only to find you are on a quest to get 800 lums and free the slaves which are in Razorbeard's-Rayman's most hated enemy- ship.Along the way you encounter dangerous obstacles and gain cool abilities such as charge up your energy fists or flying with your ears.Though a little dark and frustrating at times, I nonetheless rate this game 5 stars!

5-0 out of 5 stars Rock it with Rayman!
I tried this game at a friends house, and it is great!I sometimes have trouble with ajustining the cameraangle to focus right, though. This game has the samegreat 3-d graphics as any Croc or Spyro games.Rayman2is probably harder than either of these games, however,it is just as exciting and chalanging as either one, ifnot more so. Definatly reccomended!

3-0 out of 5 stars Big Disappointment!
I thought Rayman 2 would be a great game, but I was wrong.I beat it in 2 days with little trouble!I would save my money and get the Playstation 2 version instead. It has a lot more levels and better graphics! The N64 version of Rayman 2 has more levels and is a lot more fun! ... Read more

Editorial Review

It's obvious that the developers of Need for Speed: PorscheUnleashed put a lot of research into their creation. There's enoughinformation about the legendary series of Porsche automobiles to satisfyany car aficionado, and this game contains tons of models--from late1940s cars to recent 2000 models--from this marquee brand.

Despite concerns that the presence of a single car brand would result ina lack of variety among racing options, Need for Speed: PorscheUnleashed does offer an impressive amount of diversity. Not allPorches are created alike, and the old 356 handles much differently thana newer 911.Thus, there is much potential in this all-Porscheoffering.

Unfortunately, while this game has received strong critical acclaim inits PC incarnation, the PlayStation conversion contains some problems. For example, the track graphics are a bit muddy, and the cars appearfuzzier in this game. Worse still, the physics model for driving is wayoff. Surprisingly, older titles in the Need for Speed series lookand play better than this. Unless you are a Porsche nut, steer clear ofthis one. --T. Byrl Baker

  • Great collection of Porche facts and memorabilia
  • Models tons of Porches, from 1948 models to modern supercars

  • Bland graphics, especially on the tracks
  • Edges of the tracks are ill defined

This game is THE BEST game thats came out in at least 4 years. The cars are great and you might need some imagineation (witch I dought I spelt right).

pros

great car graficks

weak spots
not the greatest chase mode

3-0 out of 5 stars "I should have known"
I should have known, when looking on the internet, getting information on porsche unleashed, and finding nothing really spectacular on this title, that it was going to be a let down!first of all the game plays, pretty good, and the amount of cars are not that bad either it was just the fact that the visuals dont stack up against any of the other titles(like NFS High Stakes)I found this purchase to be fun for a little while, but in the end "Porsche Unleashed"was just another game in my stack, that I show really no interest in!

4-0 out of 5 stars Let the Road Come to You!
I enjoy this Playstation game a lot. The skill level is fairly difficult unless you have the wheel to handle the turns. I recommend this for the Porsche nut that wants to drive a Porsche even though they can't afford it.

5-0 out of 5 stars good clean battling fun
My favorite fighting game. I like the way you can pound your opponents to a pulp, or how there are two plateaus of fighting human or beast. It has great graphics and has a great story mode. It's a fighting game must have.

5-0 out of 5 stars Really Fun Game
This was a really fun game because it hasa less powerful human mode and a more powerful, beast mode, which also puts more power in to your attacks, and you have more attacks overall. I also liked Bloody Roar 2 because ofthe amount of attacks each player has.And it has different modes, likevs, where you can fight a friend, and things like story mode, survival, andarcade.

5-0 out of 5 stars Good Game
This is a fun game because there are two styles of play within the actual game. When you are fightingthere are two levels that your fighter can fight at, first there is human mode which is like any other ordinaryfighting game. However, there is also "Beast Mode" which allowsthe player to fight at a more intense level.

4-0 out of 5 stars Keep Ambitious!
Power Shovel is one of those titles that sticks its head out of the ocean of video games for two seconds, then dives back down, never to be seen again. It's not one you see every day; how often do you find a game where you do nothing but control construction vehicles, complete with Japanese voice clips? It really does get annoying to hear the "foreman" yell over and over in Japanese, but you do have a CD player, right? Use it. The modes are quite varied for an arcade game, but they were probably added in for this version. Tear down a house, pour curry on rice ("Great Benefits!" says the instruction manual), and dump four tons of sand onto a pickup truck for no apparent reason. Admittedly, the menus are hard to navigate, not because they have labels like "Drive a rig. Take it easy" or something like that, but because they're poorly set up. It's hard to tell what mode is where and how to set up versus mode. But in the end, if all you want is to drive a Caterpillar in the comfort of your own bunker, and don't mind about a gallon of poor grammar and Japanese voice-overs mixed in, this is your game.

5-0 out of 5 stars Matt's Review
This is my review by Matthew Gillotti. Olathe,Ks. This game is very fun. However the only thing is, is that all the launguage is spoken in japanese. The graphics are very very good. Also it is fun, they have where you can drive all of these 3 machines. You can dig, load, and crush. I hope they really reall consider making another one. This is great for all ages even from children to grown ups. If you would like to speak w/ me in person about this game then write to Jaman89@juno.com

4-0 out of 5 stars pretty fun game
its fun but there isnt enough levels so it gets repeditive after awhile, but ove all its a fun game.

4-0 out of 5 stars power shovel
My kids have fun with it. My son is almost 4 so the only part that he's got a handle on is making the curry. He loves to play it though. The only thing I think could be better is the fact that the little host guy only speaks Japanese. I have not been able to figure out how to change it or if you can even change it to English.
Maybe I got a different version I don't know. I got it in the Military exchange so I would expect that it was the only version.

5-0 out of 5 stars fun game
This is a challenging game in which you use the power shovel to accomplish a variety of things.First, there is an arcade mode where you have a limited amount of time to load a truck with sand. Then there is a license mode where you do a variety of things with the power shovel like precision driving, loading a truck with sand, and digging a deep hole.

There is also a "part-timer" mode where you do some wacky things with the power shovel like scooping soup, moving turtles from one swimming pool to another, and demolishing a car.

Each of the 3 game types has a limited number of continues, and allows you to progress in the game without just letting you play through until you finish.I think the mix of that is about right.

I have probably spent more time with this game than I have with any other this year.I originally bought this game for my 4 and 6 year old kids because they really like construction type toys and games.Controlling the shovel is way to difficult for children that age.Every single button on the controller is used for something. But I have had a blast with it. ... 3-0 out of 5 stars Ok.
Neat game. The punching and movements are slow, but overall is a fun game.

4-0 out of 5 stars Worth the price
It may not be the best computer game ever written. There are some with more realism and better graphics, but what the heck it isn't all that expensive. My son and I are having a good time beating each other up.

There is one very cute thing in the program. EA put in a boxing stadium in Redwood Shores California where they are based. The funny thing is that there is no bxing arena in Redwood Shore!! It is just where EA is based. I thought that was a nice touch.

Go ahead and get it, just don't expect it to be an earth shattering experience.

2-0 out of 5 stars what?????????
I cant believe it ko kings 2k was so much better. I think the thing that did it for me was the lack of realism, I mean whe they punch the arms look like their about to fly out of their sockets. Also they dont even look like their boxing the boxers have no facial expression at all.
One thing that is cool is the Career mode thats the only reason this game even got two stars the thing is when u play the career mode its just a little to easy to beat, even the last fight i beat my first try. All i have to say is the game was very dissapointing and didnt show the potential of EA sports, sorry guys I just cant give this anymore than 2 stars.Adios! ... Read more

Editorial Review

While it really isn't surprising that the Romance of theThree Kingdoms series has survived long enough to produce sixtitles, it is absolutely amazing that this line of games is availableon the Playstation. Anyone who thinks consoles are for kids hasn'tencountered the complex gameplay, convoluted menu-driven interface, orhistorical flair of Romance of the Three Kingdoms VI: Awakening ofthe Dragon.

Your job is a big one: unite China under your rule. To accomplish thistask, you must sway your enemies through use of diplomacy, subterfuge, and force, all the while keeping your homelands protected and yourpeople fed. No one man could do all this, so you must delegateauthority to a variety of historical officers with varying degrees ofability. Some are suited for leading troops in battle, and some arebetter at spying. It's up to you to pick the best man for the job.

The game's biggest problem is its interface, which consists of dozensof nested menus, packed with commands that are not very well describedin the thin manual. This is not a title you load up for a quick gamingfix, but one that--if it's your cup of tea--you start playing on Fridaynight and continue through Monday (after calling in sick).Unfortunately, few gamers will have the patience or resolve to overcomethe more frustrating aspects of RotTK VI. --T. Pros:

  • Incredibly deep gameplay for a console game
  • Historical content is interesting
Cons:
  • Convoluted interface with too many menus
  • Perhaps too complex for most people's tastes

4-0 out of 5 stars Unbelievable gameplay
Being a huge fan of the real time strategy games, I found this game to be especially unique. If you want a good grasp of Chinese history without taking the time to read the long novel, this is the game for you.Not only can you impress your peers with knowledge, but also have hours upon hours of stimulating gameplay. With the capacity to create characters from scratch, this game has endless bounds.Having all games associated with the Three Kingdoms, even the PS2 version, I found this one to be the most enjoyable. It's so packed with information it will keep you awake at nights thinking if one of your providences is governed by the right man.I love this game, but if you do not have patience-forget it.

5-0 out of 5 stars Romance of the Three Kingdoms VI
It is the best historical Strategy games i have every played. For anyone who likes this game and likes RPGs you should try:
Destiney of an emperor for the NES.

5-0 out of 5 stars Better than IV!
Good game and holds many aspects that makes it, in my opinion, better than IV.I like the new styled duels much better.I also like the event sequences.

The only draw back is that battles can last only 1 month and attacking cities is kind of a bore due to lack of strategies the gamer can employ.

All in all, a must own, especially if new to the Romance of the Three Kingdoms saga.

4-0 out of 5 stars Addictive tactics game
With it's complex system of commands and basic visuals this is a game which many people may be deterred from giving it a chance.Once played however your opinion of it is likely to change.Played as it is to the backdrop of chinese history your goal is to unite all of China. The system is surprisingly well thought out with a lot of depth and variety. It is also fun to create your own heroes and see how they fare against those of history.Once I began playing this I couldn't stop.It really is addictive fun but it is not a game for people with short attention spans who just crave flashy graphics and action. It is very tactical both in terms of politics and battles.Give it a try but remember to guard your supplies in battle.

4-0 out of 5 stars Searching for flavor
I love Koei games.Liberty or Death, Nobunaga's Ambition, PTO, Uncharted Waters, Genghis Khan, you name it, if it has their name, it's gotta be good. But this installment of Rot3K lacks that really compelling flavor that makes these games so addictive.

The war portion, which is the lion's share of this game, is fine.In fact, it's better than ever. But that also betrays the game's biggest fault: besides the war, there's not a lot to do.You can make general improvements to 3 categories of your city (farming, commerce, safety) but that's about the extent of interaction with your city. The rest of your options are mostly recruiting generals (hint: get as many as you can early on, as they are difficult to obtain later) amassing troops (no training though) and giving ranks to your generals. There are some limited diplomacy measures that hardly ever work, and get very tiresome (like much of this game,) and that doesn't help.

So you are left to merely amass more troops than your neighbor, and enough generals to lead them.Other than that, it gets pretty... well... boring. The cut scenes are nice, the history is very rich and deep, and some minor troop enhancements make the battles a little more weighty. But we've arrived again at the problem of battle being the only redeeming quality of the game.

Yes, you can have very short conversations with your generals (that are mostly pointless), you can install traps around your castles (at least it gives you something to do), and receive visitors that bear gifts and gold. But there's still something missing.Just like Kessen on PS2, this game lacks a real focus on the city-building portion, which leaves you with a great war simulator, but the vast stretches in between might very well leave you snoozing.(Kessen solved this problem by simply eliminating that pesky "city management" phase, and relying more heavily on an automatically advancing storyline.)

I simply cannot give any Koei game less than 4 stars, and regardless of any negative reviews, I still would have bought this. But I can't say I was entirely satisfied, especially when one's expectations have grown over the years, only to be met with more "same old, same old." ... Read more

5-0 out of 5 stars BEST GAME IN YEARS!!!!
i have over 22 games at my house for my playstation1. the best game i have ever played was the grinch. there are only 4 levels to be honest and it took me less than a week to get there. but heres the catch:
by the time i got to level 4 i was only 30% of the way done. there are sooooooo many tasks on each level and you need to get to other levels first and then go back. many parts of the game are confusing but with some walk thru cheats (aol key word: the grinch playstation game cheats) you will get the hang of it within a short amount of time. my mom plays it, i play it (im 13) and my 10 year old sister plays it too. we play together to figure things out.
on the package it says 1 or 2 players... it lied:)
i give the game 10 stars so does the rest of my family:)
the graphics are amazing

enjoy gamin:)

5-0 out of 5 stars The Grinch is very fun.
This game is so fun it is so green, so cool, and so Christmas! There are 4 levels, each with 6 missions. The first world has 500 presents, second and third 750, and final 1,000. I used to play it all the time with my dad on Sega Dreamcast. I love to play it, and that`s why I am getting this for Christmas!

1-0 out of 5 stars The Grinch That Ruined Christmas
With Christmas upon us,and gift-giving near,Here's a sure way to ruin holiday cheer:Buy The Grinch, slip it under the tree,Wrap it up nice, then snicker with glee. For nothing will dampen a child's joy Like receiving an utterly worthless toy.Konami's new game may have good intentions,But nothing disguises its poor animations. With graphics unpolished and gliches aplenty,Pop-up and seaming and mistakes elementary,Levels so barren, backgrounds so bland,Horribly ugly-it's just out of hand!Yet The Grinch is more than a loathsome eyesore,For the gameplay is an annoyingly awful chore. The sluggish control is no Yuletide treat,The simplest task is a thumb-numbing feat.Moments so cheap it isn't fair,Collision-detection that's beyond repair. The voice-acting's soild, the music is charming,But still the game is simply alarming.Avoid The Grinch-it's without hope, Or foist it on a child if you're a true misanthrope.

4-0 out of 5 stars Christmas Lover
I love this game 'cause im just one of those people who sing jingle bells in the middle of the summer cause i love the christmas spirit. when i saw this i thought, hmmmm, ITS MINE but there are a few downs like its really hard to do something but while you are doing it it is fun! Its not that good when it comes to following the story line but other than that you can be the grinch, max, and.... well the grinch and max. I give it 5 stars because its just a christmas..ie kind of game!

1-0 out of 5 stars Not a good game
This game does not deserve a great rating. The gameplay isn't very good. I mean, the music stinks and the game itself is just not what someone would hope for. ... Read more

4-0 out of 5 stars This is such a cool game!!!!!!!!!!!!
I'm a teen and I love this game!!!!!!!!!!!!!! it is challenging and the mini games are fun. I hate to admit it but i loved picking out the twins outfits at the start of the game.

4-0 out of 5 stars This is a high school fun game... (updated vers.)
This is the updated version of my previous review to this product (as a 12-year-old gamer; well, now I'm a 13-year-old gamer and an adult in Amazon's eyes)

STORY: NOW IN HIGH SCHOOL, MARY-KATE AND ASHLEY HAVE A LOT MORE TO DO. AND SOMEONE WANTS TO ASK THEM TO A DANCE (BEACH BASH)! THEY WOULD SAY YES BUT THIS HORRIBLE JEALOUS GIRL HAS TORN UP THE NOTE SO THEY CAN'T READ IT! IF YOU DO HIGH SCHOOL-RELATED ACTIVITIES, COURTNEY WILL GIVE YOU PIECES OF THE NOTE.
Games:
1. Freshman Hall:
a) Cheerleading gainst Courtney. Gets harder and harder until you have to memorise the moves!
b) Physics field trip to fun golf course!
2. Sophomore Hall:
a) Marine Biology- a special beach clea-up project with animals to put in the sea and newspapers and bottles to recycle. Lots of levels.
b) Journalism- extra credit! Take pictures for the yearbook. Very, very fun.
c) History- golf course. Well-designed.
3. Junior and Senior hall:
a) Arcade- the second level is extremely difficult to complete!
b) Journalism- harder than the sophomore version.
c) Dance squad tryouts- this is exactly like the cheerleading level in Freshman hall.

This is at to begin with but the first two halls are completed very quickly. Arcade- I cannot get past this.

Extras: Find out which crushes you can get. Play the games (apart from Journalism- but that's the best!) against the computer or a friend.

Not Mary-Kate and Ashely's best but a very good effort.

3-0 out of 5 stars This is a high school fun game starring the brilliant twins!

5-0 out of 5 stars An older MK + Ashley fan
I am an older Mary-kate and Ashley fan and am not afraid to admit that I still like their movies, shows and video games. Though these games may be a little easy to beat I still enjoyed Crush course very much. After i beat it I played it again and again.I never get bored of it and i will continue to enjoy the Olsen twins and their products.

2-0 out of 5 stars ITS OK
This game was fun the first hour I got it,after that it was soooo
BORING!!!!! They play this music that is irritating. The colors are dark. All you do is go around a game board. Whenyou land on
some thing its says warp or some thing like that and there is so many I have a hard time knowing what each thing meant. It is a
good game too play when you are trying to fall asleep. ... Read more

1-0 out of 5 stars Don't be fooled by the "Kasparov" name
I naively bought this based on the "Kasparov" title. There are only a couple of workable boards you can use (the more colorful ones have pieces that are undecipherable).I'm not sure about the strength, but I have to put the game on the highest "champion" level just to keep it from making stupid mistakes. At that point, it's still not overwhelmingly strong in play. And the game takes forever to think each move; if it's not using brute force to work out its moves, it might as well.More informational than a real chess game, it's not strong enough for devoted players and not user-friendly enough for anyone else.Don't buy it!

1-0 out of 5 stars Not Much
Chessmaster 3000 had a lot more options and variety than this game. There is not much to say about it. You can play several levels of chess. Unless you are a Grand Master, the chess microchip should be able to give you a hard time. As far as variety of options, views, chess sets, etc., this game has very few. I paid [$] for it and I felt it was about comparable to a late 1980s PC Chess game. This seems to have been a game that was put together quickly to make some money, and Kasparov did not care about the product.

1-0 out of 5 stars Could have been great . . .
I'll keep this real short. The pieces are nice, the engine is expert strength or just short (1600-1700).BUT there is no way to play BLACK ?!?This makes it useless as a chess game for those who care about chess, and it's already useless for those who don't.You don't see this inability to play black show up in any review or anything, and this is very important to know!I think most people reviewing this game know nothing about chess.(you can control blacks pieces, but only from the white side of the board.) ...
