The arcade version of Gauntlet Legends is a cultfavorite--a four-way hack-slash-and-burn-everything-in-sight bingethrough a fantasy world full of monsters. It's almost like Lord ofthe Rings without the bothersome plot.

A lot of people were probably awfully excited when Midway decided tobring Gauntlet to the PlayStation, and for the most part theirgame is intact. The world of Gauntlet is colorful, littered withtreasure chests that can be unlocked with keys gained from slayingbeasts. The four main characters are back--Valkyrie, warrior, wizard,and archer--with the promise of hidden characters as well.

Unfortunately, the PlayStation version of this game lacks a four-playermode, which will certainly disappoint fans of the coin-op, but two-playermode can be fun. The real weakness of Gauntlet Legends isits one-player mode, which becomes old rather quickly, so players shouldhave someone ready to join in. --Robb Guido

Awesome
This game is a lot of fun.

Old time meets new tech n64 style rocks
I recently found out that Gauntlet was out for the n64. I played it when it first hit the scene and had some great memories playing it 4 person mode at the arcade. We fed a lot of quarters into that machine back then. I got the game for my kids this summer and it rocks. The family has enjoyed it and the effects are fantastic and the secret characters are an excellent bonus. Its still the same game of hack and slash, just as before only with better tech and graphics. If you only play one game this summer get out more. Just kidding. Overall and excellent game. try it out you just might like it.

Bad arcade port, but fun anway.
Gauntlet Legends on the PSX has gotten some poor reviews, but I think it was actually quite a good game.When will people understand that arcade games converted to consoles will ALWAYS lose something in the translation?It never fails.This has been true with just about every title that has ever been brought home from the arcade, from the old Street Fighter 2 all the way up to the Tekken series, so it should be no surprise here.

Also, I think that taking away the decreasing life was a GOOD thing, and that alone made the rating for the PSX version worth at least 3 stars.That was nothing but a cheap ploy to make you spend way more quarters than any reasonably skilled player should have to.There are far better and more realistic ways to create a challenge than to have characters lose life for no earthly reason.That's just lame, and it's something I've always hated about the Gauntlet series.With that feature finally removed, the game is now actually an adventure, not the "rat in a maze" type of thing it used to be.

The music on this game is also very good, particularly the main theme that plays during the menu screens and the music on Warrior's Mountain.The boss music is cool too, even with the modernized tracks slipped in there.Some music, though, was just annoying, such as the first of the Town stages with the Zombies.

There were a few disappointments, though.I don't think there was enough challenge, especially in the boss battles.I was also disappointed that the Spider Queen boss was missing completely.The only thing that made the stages more challenging is that they became increasingly more maze-like (not good in my opinion--makes things extremely repetitive and unnecessarily tedious) and that the enemies simply moved a little faster and took more hits to kill.

Also, the graphics were rather poor when compared to the arcade.It's impossible for any console to completely match an arcade version, especially not in the graphics or animation department, but I think the PSX could have done much better than this.The FMVs were fine, but outside of that, all of the heroes are very blocky and pixelated, especially on the character selection screen.Once you get into the game though, the graphics become less of annoyance because you're not really paying them too much attention.

The absence of the 4-player mode was a weakness as well, but two is also fun.I don't think the PSX version had enough challenge even for one player though, let alone four.

Overall, those expecting a perfect arcade-to-console port should look elsewhere, but this game was still fun, and good enough to stand on its own merits.

Sweet!!!
I think this game is like, so sweet and you need to buy it! This is a fun game and it's really addicting. If you don't buy this, then you is crazy!!!

Patience would have paid off
Very, very disappointing.The main problem with this game is the fact that while the arcade version was a challenging, sweaty-palm action game, this has virtually no challenge at all.In fact, I beat the game in two weeks with all four characters at level 99 as the secret characters.This was put out six months after the game broke into arcades, and apparently more time should have been given it.Midway should have learned something from the previous editions of gauntlet on the nintendo, which actually kept some of the thrill of the arcade versions.Recommended only to diehard fans or inexperienced players. ... Nabbed Downs award hands down!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Hello everybody its me fruggert back again to tell you about a tizite game called power rangers time force!!! I thought the graphics were awsome better than ps2!I knew that tihis game would get the downs award ,i invented the downs award.It is a game awards show that chooses the best games.The games are chosen by a panel of experts like my teddy bear and Mr.Bunny.It is on tv every October the 45th so watch!!I am 23 and i thought that the last level was a bit intense so i dont reccommend this game for anyone under 18.Power rangers at thier best!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Boring
Didn't like that you can't fight the bad guys with two rangers like you could in Light speed. My kids thought it wa boring!!

I changed my mind, I just had to get used to this game, I do recommend buying it if you are a fan of power rangers and it's worth the [item price].

Power Rangers Time Force
I have just 1 word for this game... BORING! I am so disappointed with Sony! We have Power Rangers Light Speed which is so awesome and much better and action packed than this boring time force game. Wake up sony! We want a better power rangers game next time and we miss light speed. BRING BACK THE LIGHT SPEED GANG. Send the time force gang back in time! Almost forgot to add, you can't play 2 players with this boring game, you can only play 2 megazords fighting each other and not the bad guys, totally stupid!

very very bad game
bought this for my 5 yr old (huge PR fan)& it is awful. THQ must have put absolutely no effort in getting this game out. the gameplay is inane. my son is constantly baffled by why you must "jump" off areas because the game will not let the character simply walk off an object with no apparent obstacle. in other scenes, you also must "jump" to a farther smaller looking box in order to "jump" back to a higher bigger looking box, making absolutely no sense to even a child!! Therefore, i constantly have to play this inane game for him!!! I was sooooo disappointed because my son and his friends really enjoyed the previous Lightspeed Rescue game for PSX, but unlike that game, this one has no cooperative multiplay, which I prefer. The 2 player game is a competitive multiplay...(and was also awful)
The graphics are terrible, just absolutely terrible. And the FMV hurt my eyes, it was so blurry i was afraid it would ruin my kids' eyes if they saw it too much....

How is it that a game of this pure enertainment quality has not been improved on by the folks at Sony is beyond me. It is the perfect game that appeals to both young and old, the experianced gamer and the novice, the individual and the group. How can you not enjoy yourself as you wander around reaking havoc on your friends pigs. Give us more Sony,forget Grand Trisimo 4,5,6 don't care about So-com. Hook me up with Hogs of War 2, and let the squealing begin.

Cute and funny
I love this game because it is cute and funny,and fun to play ,It is so good that it keeps your interest. I see revenge went the enemy pigs kills some of my men. I also like the terain that they fight on, and upgrade of weapons that they use.The pigs are cute.I hope that you make a Hogs of war 2,3 and4. Thank you for making this game.

This definetly sounds like and an absurd concept now doesn't it, we take a WW2 scenario, and throw in 6 pig nations.These nations represent Japan, Britain, USA, Germany, Russia, and Italy.Each nation has is basically the same but are greatly steroptyped.Thus the humor comes in.

The gameplay is wonderful in itself, mostly because like any good stradegy game it progressivly gets more and more difficult.In the end you fight the hidden Pink team which holds the swill.Int hat fight you must also face off against all the five other nations eliete Hero.that is no easy task.this game also features a pretty fun multiplayer option as well.

In the end this is worth looking into.

good for a headache
I bought this game after trying it in the stores first.I liked it in the stores, but when I bought it, I was completely disappointed.I beat the game quickly, in one night, and it gave me a head ache.It is also a little frustrating because some stuff just happens.If you are buying it to play with the whole family, then I guess I could recomend it, but for anyone who plays games a lot, I suggest looking around for a better game.

A Great Game!
This game is great! The graphics aren't the greatest but they still are good because you can see where you are going. You can unlock mystery cars when you either go in secrets, or win one of the 3 challenging cups. The cups get harder and harder as you go. After winning all 3 cups, I still haven't got all the mystery cars. I am missing 1. Not to brag.It is a
challenging game to get some of the mystery cars. If you get all of them, please let me know. Just Kidding! If you want to, you can. I don't mind. Speaking of the cars, they are great. Some have different strenghs. Like some can be fast and [are bad at] stunts or some can be good at both. When you unlock a mystery car, on a specific track. That means that this car is the car that is best at that track. REMINDER! Don't give up on finding the mystery cars. If you are racing and see one, after you finsh the race, you can practice that track and keep trying to get it. It might take a while but it is worth it. In conclusion, this game is great! Did I mention it is great? Oh yeah, it is great!

A Great game
This game is great for the whole family.It's easy enough for my 5 yr old, but challenging enough for Mom and Dad.We love racing against each other.A must have for Hot Wheel fans.

The more you play the more you get
My 5 yr old son and I have had so much fun with this game over the past year.In the beginning it seems like just a racing game but as you start finding shortcuts and hidden cars, playing the cup races, and unlocking new tracks it gets better and better!We haven't won the twinmill cup yet though.:-(

Let's face facts here. Pokémon games will neverappear on the PlayStation since Nintendo has those rights locked up forthe next millennium. Still, if you are looking for a game that lets youcatch monsters, train them, and guide them through numerous battles, youcan still find that challenge on the PlayStation in Jade Cocoon.That is, if you can live without those pesky Pokémoncreatures.

Jade Cocoon allows you to seek and collect millions of differentmonster combinations. You catch the beasts in the course of your questto save your hometown. Once caught, the monsters help you build strengthand power through combat as you prepare for the final showdown.

Jade Cocoon is a graphical tour de force from beginning to end.The animation of the characters and monsters are smooth, and the specialeffects for spells and other attacks are stunning. The audio is equallyimpressive.

While the multimedia effects may have held our attention, it was thegameplay that kept us coming back for another round of play. Success incombat relies on the strategic development of monsters, coupled with immediate tactical decisions during each battle. We spent hours testingpossible monster combinations, thanks to a well-implemented previewwindow that lets players preview a monster merger before committing tothe change. There's little guidance in the manual on effectivecombinations, but with a little common sense and a lot of mad-scientistexperimentation, you will ultimately prevail. JADE COCOON COMPLETELY AND TOTALLY ROCKS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
By far, JC is the best Playstation game I have ever played. It is my personal favorite game. I am completely in love with the Eternal Corridor. After you have beaten the game, it is accessable to you. It features all new minions that aren't featured in the original game. The storyline is OK, but where this game really shines is the graphics. This game is quite possibly the most detailed playstation game out there graphicwise. The only thing that can match it is probably the Spyro series. As you may know, the greatest feature in gameplay is the ability to merge minions into your own creations. I have one minion with the frame of a bird minion, but the skin of a turtle. It has a lot of the status ailment special attacks. Jade Cocoon is the best playstation game I have ever experienced.

Thinking Man's Pokemon
This is one of the very few RPG's I've played more than three times. (The other notable mention is Final Fantasy VI.) If you take Pokemon, strip out 90% of the childish nonsense, give it beautiful music, dreamlike landscapes, a plot, character development, and interresting monsters that can take on a multitude of forms, you get Jade Coccoon.

Jade Coccoon has a dreamlike fairy-tale quality that I enjoy. There is character development and an actual plot. The sound track is beautiful; I wish I could find it. The character Po tells some good stories (the first about Alcana is the best), which is a nice diversion. My favorite element of the game is that there is no clear "good guy" and "bad guy", there is conflict on both sides. It also touches on some theological questions in an interresting way. The graphics are also quite good for a PlayStation game, and actually add to the mood and setting rather than just act as flashy eye-candy.

My only problem with this game is that it seems slightly rushed in development. There are elements in the story that seem as if they will be developed, and they just "go away". There is also a slight bug: If you save a game while carrying firefly coccoons and turn off the PlayStation, when you re-start, the special abilities and spells of the creatures in the firefly coccoons will be erased. (However, sometimes this works to your advantage for breeding.) Purified coccoons left with Mahbu are safe. The game has also crashed three times on my PS2 (twice when Levant is summoning the first Minion of a fight), but for 50+ hours of play, that isn't bad.

Don't confuse this with pokemon
Yes you do fight with monsters and yes you are a kid. But this game has a rich storyline with many character relationships. Different from pokemon you can fight yourself. Although the graphics are bit out dated they still look awsome and the anime videos are fantastic. The music works well with the game and the voices of the characters are well placed for those who dont want to read. Overall its a great game and well worth the money.

this game is really cool because unlike pokemon you can merge the monsters together and if you do it in different order you will get different monsters. so if you want to get a playstation game get jade cocoon

Give it a look in.....
Don't get me wrong, this is a good game, but I would recomend renting it before you buy it. The game gives it its all, and it really tries hard to be original, but it has its drawbacks.
It IS over too quick. The monsters are sometimes very creative, butt after a while, you begin to realise that the "150 base minions" are just the same, with four different elements (water, wind, earth and fire). The story line is original, but you can see the end coming a million miles away.
You will probably complete it in under twenty hours, but it would take you a long time to catch all 150 minions! If you are looking for something new, give it a try: it is an original game. ... Read more

Mortal Kombat has never disappointed me!!
I am quite surprised how many people thought this game wasn't any good.Mortal Kombat 4 is a more than worthy sequel.First off, the story, like all the other Mortal Kombat games, movies and TV shows, is incredible.If you saw many of the characters ending form Ultimate Mortal Kombat, then you'll have an idea what I am talking about.All their stories have a great lead up to MK4.In the fourth installation, Noob Saibot's master Shinnok takes his gamble at Earth Realm.However, we also learn about the truth behind Sub-Zero and Scorpion's hate for each other and the sorcerer who put them up to it!!!

This game introduces some really cool characters (like Quan Chi) and also some old characters return (like Johnny Cage).The fighting game has the usual classical engine, except now it is 3D.You can, for example, side shift to avoid Scorpion's spear!!Weapons were also introduced and everyone has got some ill weapons, especially Fujin!!You can also throw objects lying around at your opponent.The combo system is pretty good, nothing near as good to the fifth installation of Mortal Kombat though.The endings, until the previous Mortal Kombat's, are full videos and EXTREMELY AWESOME!!There's a lot of game replay here by beating the game with different fighters.You learn a lot about the tournament's secrets and who's got beef with whom.

This game is worth getting for ANY fan of a great fighting game.Too many people are extremely critical of the Mortal Kombat franchise and WAY too kind to others (Soul Caliber, Tekken - need I say more about these crappy fighting games).Mortal Kombat kreators really go out of their way for the fans to make their games unique and loads of fun, so don't pass up on Mortal Kombat 4!!!!!!!!!!

Great Game
MK finally comes into the 3D realm in this game. I only wish there were more characters, and I miss the animalities, babalities, brutalities, and friendships. But overall, it's good.

Worst MK game ever!!!!!
The only reason I gave this game two stars is because I am an Mortal Kombat Fan but this game sucks!!!It was way to easy you know I loved mortal kombat trilogy because it was hard as h*ll and when I beat it I was so happy and said to my self I can't wait till the next game!!!Yet this is just bad you don't even have to learn the peoples moves any more.You just have to take out your weapon and hack'em to death it just sucks. Strider first slashed his way into American homes in the '80s,with his self-titled release for the classic NES. After a subsequentappearance on the Genesis, Strider Hiryu disappeared from gameconsoles--until now. Strider is back in a truly old-school action gamethat will please fans of 2-D classics.

Upon first play, Strider 2 may seem like a mindless slashorama,with enemies coming at players from all sides. But there's more toStrider than brainless brutality. Hiryu can also jump, doublejump, kick off of walls, slide, and cling to almost everything, whichmakes it possible to avoid most foes, with practice.

For better or worse, Capcom makes it easy for players to blow throughthis game by way of unlimited continues that let Strider start from thevery point where he died. Luckily, players are graded at the end ofeach level, giving at least some incentive to perform well. --RobbGuido

I Really Need and Want this game ! =)
I don't actually have this game.I just gave it five stars because it looks cool and I have an action figure of Strider. So to all of you that have strider 2..... and you hardly play it anymore, please put on amazon.com. I'd really appreciate it because I've looked everywhere and couldn't find it. It's about time Strider came back and I'm glad to see Capcom put some effort into this one. The control is dead-on and the graphics are great. If you wanna be cheap and use as many continues as you can, you'll beat it in half an hour. If you limit your continues, however, you'll find that this game is much harder to master. Buy it.

The most fun game I've played in a long time
I never played the original Strider, but I loved this game.Okay, so I could beat in under an hour, but I kept coming back for more.It is one of those games that you will return to after you beat it over and over again.It is almost too easy however, so it can be beaten in at least an hour.That is what keeps this game from getting five stars.Be warned that if you like spectacular graphics, you will be very dissapointed.However, this game proves that games with okay graphics can sometimes be the most fun.

Strider 1 is on Strider 2 Disc ?
Just wanna say that the game is High speed. Lightning fast attacks and awesome 2-D/3-D graphics(Like Kirby 64) make this a pretty entertaininggame. However, I feel that capcom wasn't really paying attention to detailwhen it released the game on the wrong disc. Strider 1 is on the strider 2disc and vice-versa. Thats about the only beef I got with this game. Goodgame!

The original Strider for Genesis was what made me buy that system, and this game has all the magic of that one! Plastic icon Barbie stars in this playful game, which enablesgamers to ride horseback on five different nature trails filled withvarious obstacles. Each trail is peppered with lightweight challenges(such as jumping over an occasional log or stream). There are also afew surprises that you will encounter on the various trails, includingsome mini-arcade games that are triggered by certain events. As youmove through each trail, the game takes an unusual first-personperspective that shows your view from atop the horse. Game environmentsinclude a snowy mountain path, a grassy meadow, and a warm beach. Thepre-rendered animation is fairly smooth and colorful, but controllingthe moves of your horse can be a bit awkward. This game is designed tobe compatible with Sony's dual shock controllers, which allow playersto feel each bump and rumble.

As you might expect from any licensed Barbie game, this title isdesigned to appeal to young girls. While there isplenty of pleasant eye candy for beginning gamers, this game clearlyencourages players to engage in low-stress fun that requires littlehand-eye coordination. Fun...If You Haven't Had Better
I bought this game 4 years ago (in grade three) as an alternative to an older favorite of mine, Barbie Riding Club (which I had outgrown) in the hopes that it would allow more freedom like riding off of the trail, stopping wherever you may please and competing in a more realistic fashion. Once I turned ten, I realized what a mistake it was.

Mattel obviously has no idea what girls who have the ability of playing video games want in them. We are forced to ride chunky, ugly horses with unrealistic animations (horses stretch their necks outwards when jumping rather than flinging them upwards. This makes the obstacle course very hard) in environments that look painted-on and thrown together. Barbie is constantly stopping your ride to make you watch squirrels hop across branches, and there are only two gates to choose from (canter and gallop) I wouldn't have such a problem with this if canter wasn't so slow; it slows down the surrounding area so it's just like riding in slow-mo. The firefly game was very difficult for me when I was young and it took me near forever to figure out that you just open the lid near the firefly and it flies in.

All in all, this game is one of the dusty ones in my collection. I would suggest Mary-Kate and Ashley's Winner's Circle for older girls, and Barbie Horse Adventures: Wild Horse Rescue for younger ones.

I bought this game and the playstation with my own money. It's a good game, but once you win it, it's horrible! the only hard part is the firefly game. Even my pro cousin can't beat it. I traded it in for the Emperors New Groove game and was GLAD it was gone. Loading was horrible, too. I'd rather have a real horse or fall off my friends horse. Get marykateandashley's winners circle instead.

I Love it!
It is fun, but not too hard.I like the graphics, and the music is addictive too.It is really colorful and the little frogs are cute.It was an enjoyable game, because it wasn't frustratingly hard.

Frogger 2 is mostly just looks
I have to admit this game is pretty fun, but I liked Frogger 1 better.Most of the levels are just super graphics, which is really cool to look at, but in all, aren't as fun as Frogger1.
If you love Frogger 1, you'll like Frogger 2 but will get bored of it quickly...

Great Game!!!
This game is colorful and fun. The only thing I didn't like was that it was too short. But that's okay. You can find secret characters in some levels lke Swampy, and Tad. Overall, this is a great game.

THISis the frogger you should be playing
This is one game for the ps1 that really took me by surprise, and I'm happy to have stumbled across it. While browsing at the local video store one day, I found that all the games I wanted to rent were nowhere to be found. Suddenly I was left with two options... leave without anything and replay one of the many games I already have, or take a chance on renting something I normally wouldn't have left home for. Well as you can tell by my writing of this review, I chose the latter (and it paid off).Before I go any further, I want to let you know that I had earlier rented Frogger-The Great Quest (The newest in the series for the Playstation 2), and was greatly disappointed by what I had wasted my money on (at least it too was just a rental).The good news is that this game made me forget all about the poor gaming experience I had with "The Great Quest."In Swampy's Revenge the graphics were colorful, and well done.The game controls were simple, and I had little doubt that even those of you who were new to gaming would have any trouble picking up this game for the first time and enjoying it. In addition, I didn't find this title to be overly difficult, although there were some instances where my timing was initially off with some of the jumps I encountered. Nonetheless, a couple of tries later I was moving full steam ahead again with no problem. The game layout was equally well done, and there was no question about where to go next. Tally this all up and you have the makings of one outstanding game.The only shortfall I noticed was that it ended much too soon, and that veteran game players won't necessarily find the gameplay very challenging. The casual or younger gameplayer will absolutely adore this one though, so I have to recommend this game highly. Add it to your collection immediately.

Fairly Easy but fun game
This game was a bit easy to beat. I beat it in about 3 and a half hours. I am glad I didn't buy the game. I just rented it. This game can be pretty chalenging at some parts. I don't know about a game where the last level is easier than the first 3 levels. Other than that this game was good. There is a good abount of multiplayer games and Time trials to keep you playing the game. Unlike the previous game I played which was Gamecubes Luigi's Mansion, there is plenty of stuff to do in this game even after you beat it. It is also a very straighforward game in which you always know what to do next. Its just that you have you time your jumps perfectly. These are the types of games that I like cause you don't need to check a player's guide just to beat the game. This is why I gave the game 4 stars. The best playstation game ever!
The best 3D playstation videogame yet. This is my favorite game from the whole disney/playstation game set ever!!!! this game has just the right amount of everything for kids or adults. it has tons of levels, some very challenging, some easier. so many different environments and allows for lots of exploration. some really fun mini-games. my 5 year old plays this well, and hasn't lost interest in it one bit since we've owned it. i was also challenged by many of the levels and played it like a fanatic until i finally beat it. easy enough for kids to play, but also entertaining for adults. a great game!

102 dalmations
my three year old granddaughter loves this game.it's about the only one of the true 'juvenile' games that she comes back to play on a regular basis. although her uncle has helped her to finish it, it is nothing for her to start a new game, as she just loves certain scenarios. i'm not a fan of disney games, but this one is a winner. she loves it, it doesn't shelf sit and that's what counts!

Maybe too scary for some?
After seeing this in a list of good games for littler kids, and reading some of the other reviews, I decided to get this for my 3-year old son, who has only played some of his dad's car racing games up till now.My son was very excited to receive it, and insisted on playing it immediately.After a couple of minutes, he had mastered the gist of the game and the controls seemed logical.Basically, the object of the main game (there are several mini-games included as well) is to rescue your fellow puppy siblings that have been trapped in crates.You have to destroy attacking robotic toys by barking at them, and you have to roll into the crates to smash them and rescue the puppies.A little rough, but all seemed well, and I left the room for a couple of minutes, only to rush back in when I heard my son yelling tearfully that I had to turn the game off.Apparently, Cruella De Ville's sidekick appears in the game and chases after you with a net.You can't always see him as you run madly away, but sometimes you just see his feet in the foreground as he chases after you, or you round a corner and he starts lurching towards you, swinging the net.The graphics were even a little creepy to me--like one of those slow motion bad dreams where you run from some THING. I have no idea how to get rid of him, because my son was so scared by this that I was not allowed to try--I had to not only turn off the game, but I had to take the disc out of the Playstation, too.When he was finally ready to give the game another try the next day, he would only play the mini-games (there's a mini-golf game and there's a memory-type game where the dog has to dig into piles of dirt to find matching objects).There are actually several other mini-games, but they were not accessible, and I suspect you have to get to certain levels in the main game before you are permitted access (a reward system, I guess).While I think older kids (5 or 6) might get a kick out of the game, the "bad guy" may be too scary for some of the more inexperienced 3 and 4 year olds who have not always encountered these concepts before.On the other hand, my husband loves the game, so families with slightly older kids could probably play this together. ... Too easy to play...too easy to get annoyed with.
I found this game fun for about five minutes. Then the little helper guy just got annoying. There's no challenge to a game when you are told what to do constantly. After I built three theme parks, I tried to build a fourth, but you have to delete one so only three are open. I decided the game was too frustrating and gave up.

Wonderful
I played this on my friend's playstation, and It is awesome! I loved it. I feel that it is better then the PC version of this game because in the PC version, you can't actually walk around the park like you can in the playstation version.

Another great thing about this game is that it is different. You don't go around killing people in a blood bath. My mom is always complaining about those type of games. Anyway, this is a must have for any gamer out there!

If you want to get a fishing game
First point: if you don't want to get a fishing game, don't spend your money on a fishing game. If you find the whole idea of fishing repulsive, and buy a fishing game anyway, that's your own fault.
Now, the game: Gameplay basically goes thusly: you look a looped video of a lake or river, listening to pretty nature sounds, you pick out a rod and a lure or fly, you cast. When the lure sinks, or a fish grabs it, you switch to an underwater view to "play" the fish. The manual tells you exactly how to do this, which is good, because I think it might impossible to figure it out on your own. When the fish gets close, you switch back to pretty-nature-scene view to land it. Repeat.
I like this game for two reasons: one, i am female, and not one to play video games much. All of my male friends are better than me at most games. But I was the first one to figure out how to catch a trout.
Second: The game is really relaxing. Some may consider "relaxing" a synonym for "repetitive" or "boring" but that is entirely up to you. I got into this fishing zone, until they pried the controller out of my hands to play Tekken Tag anyway. But i thought it was pretty good stress relief, anyway.

OH WHAT A BAD GAME!
This game is horrible! All you do is sit there and throw out your line and reel it in. Throw out an reel it. Throw it out and reel it in.... you cant reel in a fish either because the always start shaking and get away. I have been stuck at the yamemme trout level forever and not caught a single fish there yet! This game makes the real sport of fishing look horrible. REAL fishermen like me prefer games that you can actually move around in a boat and try to find the fish. This game is horrible. Just do me a favor and don't buy it. Also, don't get action bass either. It is better than this game anyways, at least you can see your lure move under water..... But however if you have to get one of the two, get Action Bass.

This is a really really cool game! I just got it recently and spend alot of time playing it. The people who don't like this game don't even play it for 5 mins and assume the entire thing is boring.In one of the levels, you catch a 10 foot marlin. This is a really good game.But don't just listen to me, rent it and try it for yourself.

Mediocre game with plenty to do...
I'd give this game a so-so rating of 3 stars. There's plenty of challenge levels, well over 100 different items to get (lures, poles, rigs), and an variety of environments offering a veritable ocean/lake/river full of different fish to catch (Bass, carp, trout, ocean fish, and PREHISTORIC fish!). You even have 3 different aquariums to keep your trophy winning catches in (2 Freshwater:lake and running/river, 1 Saltwater). You can also set the difficulty by turning on/off depth and drag settings. The graphics are nicer than most other fishing games.

HOWEVER...The game play can be very dull and routine at times. Certain hotspots on the screen always generate a nibble, taking some of the challenge/fun out of it. The hardest part of the game is hooking the fish before it steals your bait. Certain fish will have you smashing the controller in frustration. Each aquarium can only hold 5 fish at a time, which then have to be TEDIOUSLY fed and looked after (I've come back to find all fish dead because I forgot to feed them before going on a fishing trip).

One nagging question, you are able to knock on the aquarium tanks, yet the instructions advise against it. Why bother to add this feature at all then?

All in all a good game if you want to fish for more than bass or bluegill, but not a MUST HAVE (like EA Sports Championship Bass). ... Read more

Great for Parent & Child Together
I sat down with my two daughters ages 5 and 3 and played this game WITH them.We had a great time with it.They loved the adventure and I helped them to understand how to look for Ken and follow the clues.Now that they have been through the game they can play it alone.Especially my 5 year old.All of the clues change for the next game.I give it a thumbs up!

Fine for an older child
My daughter is 9 and she has enjoyed all the "Detective Barbie" games in the past.We own the first 2 games for the PC and purchased this one for our Playstation.Both my daughter and my son (6 - almost 7) love solving the mysteries.I think Mattel should just "up" the age on this game.It is way too hard for a 5 year old.I agree with the other reviews on this point.In my opnion, most barbie games are good for 7 & up.(Secret Agent, Super Sports etc.)

This game is too complicated for me, let alone my 5-year-old
Do I have to give it a star at all?This is by far the worst game my daughter owns. It's so difficult to play that my daughter needs my help constantly. And I find it extremely slow, and frustrating. Trust me, this game will aggravate both you AND your child.Save your money, folks.

Walt Disney World Quest: Magical Racing Tour
This game is based on real Walt Disney World rides such as Big Thunder Mountain Railroad and Blizzard Beach. This game is okay but it is for the younger kids or it will be too easy. I win every time I play. This game is somewhat enjoying, but it gets old quickly.

Do * NOT* mistake this for a kids game! This is a game that is fun for everyone. Magical Racing is easily the BEST cart racer I have played on the Playstation. I haven't had so much fun with a racing game in quite sometime. The tracks are well thought out and fans of Disneyland will love racing their favorite rides.The controls are really tight. This is one game where your time will be spent actually racing rather than peeling yourself from the walls surrounding the track. Some of the turns are extremely sharp so be sure to make your vehicle "hop" so you can make the turn while in the air. Once you have that figured out the rest is smooth sailing. If all games where put together this well you'd never think twice about parting with your money!

This game is Amazing! I've never seen a better 1! This game hasrealistic looks of the rides (I know that because I have been there 14 times). There is one glitch I have found. When u r racing in Haunted Masion if you drive along the fence u can get stuck behind it! Any way, It's really cool though. I reccomend it 2 anybody who has been 2 Disney World and who hasn't. This game is good 4 people who like 2 race and have liked other games like:

A let down for the hardcore.
I tracked down this game after searching for years.Let me tell you, I love Time Crisis.I love the whole serires, have them all, love them all, but I didn't have this one yet.So I finally got it, put it in my PSone and played away.First, the game wasn't made by Namco (makers of the Time Crisis series) they just published it).The game consists of horrible animation with horrible graphics."Stiff" is the best way to describe everything.You can tell Namco didn't have much to do with this because it is a Time Crisis game IN NAME ONLY.The flow and look of the game is horrid.The game is also buggy.There will be times when you will shoot a guy, hear him die, and apparently his ghost will shoot you out of vengeance.But on the plus side, the sound is good.That's really all I have to say good for this game.

If you have a hard time finding this game it's no surprise.The game is just bad through and through.The graphics are sub-par for this generation of Playstation game, the game has bugs, and the developers really didn't know what they were doing.This has the Time Crisis name but not the feel and one tenth of the fun.A big disappointment.

Question
Can I use a GUNCON2 with this game?
I expect this game would be good but I've only played Time Crisis games on PS2 with a GUNCON2. Definately get Time Crisis 2 & 3 for PS2. They are the best games that you can use a GUNCON2 with. They're short(like all GUNCON2 games)but fun. Time Crisis 2 & 3 also have a bunch of extra modes to make them last longer.

Suggestion to the designers of this game: make a long GUNCON2 game!

time crisis project oh yeah!
this is da bomb. better than time crisis 1. it's 50 times better with a guncon. if you want one get a namco guncon. the naki guncon is as accurate as a drunk monkey with an itchy trigger finger. a must buy for time crisis lovers.

Time Crisis: Project Titan
This is a shooter game, where you go through the levels, and do nothing but shoot. This can become boring after a while. I wouldn't recommend this game for people who get bored easily. This game can also be frustrating, because if you have a GUNCON like me, you have to stop the game and realign the sight every 15 seconds. Graphics could be better...but, we are talking Playstation. Overall, the perfect game for a rainy day.

If you buy this game, I would recommend a GUNCON.(The "gun" thing you can find in arcades.) For me, this makes the game more interesting, but, suit yourself.

Wheel of Fortune 2 is a great game! The graphics are incredible, and you really feel like you're in the game! There are 4 versions. You can play solo, tournament, against 2 computer players, or with a 2nd human player. I really enjoyed this game! I absolutely love it! I strongly recommend you purchase it! A wonderful game from beginning to end!

So-So
Any new version Of Wheel Of Fortune is a vast improvement over the old PC and NES versions... As for this version--->If you can find the First Hasbro version get it... For A 2nd edition WOF is ok to play, but the graphics are kinda lame.The new themed backgrounds are cool, it doesnt help the game play, which is slow.I just wished they would have stuck with the nice layout of the First PSX version and improved it, this seems like a new attempt at this game.Definatly get this if you have gone thru every puzzle in the first version, or if you want to get it before it is gone.If this is your first WOF, find the original edition... One of the best ever

This and War Craft II (both for PS1) are the only games I still play after 7 years.None others compare.That includes PS2 games such as GTA III-V.Nothing beats a simplified strategy game.The key to enjoying PG is to play the campaign and get your core troops up in levels and equipment.If you haven't done this, the game will not show it's true appeal.

If You love strategy, this is the game!
Simply unsurpassed by later versions more dedicated to tactic levels, PG let you mastered the great strategy in WWII commanding not only batallions but entire groups of armies through some of the toughest and most famous clashes, equipped with the most sophisticated and letal weaponry available.

Core Unit Maximization
The proper ratio of 5-star units, followed by a pre-planned campaign path, seems a science. If one is not going for total victory, by Moscow '43 a mix of 8 FW109A's, 8 JU 87d's, 8 Tiger I's, 7 pioneer infantry, 4 High Level Bombers, 3 8.8 AT guns (for later transferal to Jagdpanther form), and 6 SIG II's (or is it SIG 38T's by then?) is a ratio that seems formidable. Creating the most powerful mix of core units is a form of entertainment unto itself. The key is purchasing fighters during Warsaw and Norway onward, along with tactical bombers, until one eventually winds up with 8 Fw109D's(or jets), 8 FW10916's (converted Stukas), 4 Hell177A High Level Bombers, 5 Tiger I's, 3 Tiger II's, 2 Panther D's, 2 Jagdpanthers, 1 Jagdtiger, 5 SIG 38(t), and 8 Pioneer Infantry. Such a 5-star force can do historically impossible things, but a 16-plane enforced air superiority is vital. As for claims of historical innaccuracy, the Sea Lion strategy accurately reflects OKW's captured war-plan, and the general strategies are still used today. 1) establish air superiority 2)bypass heavily populated areas, encircling an enemy with tank divisions followed by infantry 3) tacticaly bomb an enemy after establish air superiority to support ground troops 4)keep all forces mobile, at least in transport from site to site, to maintain a secure line of logistics. -credentials: B.A. History, Towson, & U.S. Navy vet

I realize this game is old...
But haven't ya'll heard of an uldn' but a goodn'?

The Panzer General Series is truly an incredible step forward in turn based strategy.Not as simple as such games as Heroes of Might and Magic 3 but much more simple than The Battle of Kursk.In this middle nitche, players get to feel like they are running an army but they don't get saddled with the 3 to 1 logistic system.

And, as quaint as Panzer General may seem, it is a very deep game.Even Panzer General 2 avoided have the polethera of units and tactics as are in 1.You will be able to use navies, strategic bombers and just about anything else one might expect to see on the WWII battlefield.Play is challenging and rarely stale.Getting the coveted Decisive Victory is never too easy but it remains attainable and rewarding.The prestige system is also useful, giving players points for taking cities, eradicating units and so on.But...Most importantly, your army carries over from level to level, meanng that the game can be played several times with different units and the outcome will be different(there are also branches based on the speed of victory).Trust me, this game is timeless and endless.

A VERY WORTHY TITLE
This is a fun game,and realistic too,also this game improves from Driver 1 instead of the same cop cars in the same cities you get different ones(I.E. Chicago has white-and-blue cop cars that go fast and have good endurance.And Havana has big black-and-white cop cars that r big with one siren and u can easily lose the cops in this city.) And the cities have different cars and styles.GRAPHICS:3/5:The graphics have actually dropped from the Driver 1,b-cos the cars look more blocky but you still get the realistic car effects.SOUND:5/5:The sound ain`t ennoying to me the background music is kind of cool but i am so used to being in Chicago that the music always go`s in to my head when thinking/playing Driver 2,the music in Havana sounds more like action the damaging effects also sound realistic.THE STORY:5/5:(The story isn`t any thing like Driver 1 but the story seems to have also continue into Driver 3)The story is about the criminals cocky bookkeeper cuts a deal with his greatest rival but Soloman Caine and his hired Hitman,Jericho go`s in the pub they are in,called The Red Driver in an attempt to kill Lenny but misses him and he escapes but they then kill the Brazzilian Gangster,which is tooken into a Forensic lab to investigate.and then Tanner(The Charictor u play) then has to meet his partner Tobias Jones so they can follow a Witness,who seen the deal that went on but when they catch him instead of treating him mannerly they take him hostage until he spits out imfo and the story begins.GAMEPLAY:4/5: The gameplay is very fun,you get to exit your car and steal another or walk around and sit down or you can stay in your car and make a mini movie by first getting the law on your tail and go do some stunts like skids,Donuts and go up ramps(Especially the lift bridge in Chicago) and then when you wreck yourself, replay it, and see your actions in Cinematic view and then use the fabulus "Film Director"(A Feature that was in troduced in the first Driver,but i forgot to mention it in my other review) to make your own movies(I am talking about the cool Take A Ride mode).the only down falls are is that there are many glitches such as ppl walk thru buildings and once the police set Tanner up i seen a police car so i decided to follow it,driving like the other,good guys so i could attempt to steal it but when he turned the corner and i followed him there was auto-matic 77% felony and a road block of police cars!.CYA Lata

Pretty Damn Good Game
"Driver 2" is one of the best Playstation (1) games I've ever played. From time to time, I wanna flip back from the PS2 to the original, and this is usually the game of choice when I do. There's a really clever yet easy to follow storyline, which grips you in from the momment you start, and puts you in the mindframe that you can't put down the controller until you've done what you're attempting. Graphically, it's not the greatest thing ever created, but from a gameplay point of view it's pretty stunning.

Here's the plot - A US crimelord's money man cuts a deal with his greatest rival, a Brazilian gangster, meaning that violence is sure to ignite both American continents. That's where you come in. You're Tanner. The Driver. You have to drive your way through cities, taking part in a helluva lot of in car and out of car action to get your jobs done. There's really no way to describe how addictive this game is, you just have to play it. 4.5 stars.

Very Good game
I love driver 2 my 14 year old friend bought it last year and he let me borrrow it I played it more then him I never beat the game but almost did using cheats My favorite part was taking different cars I liked the limos in Vegas best the cars look cool the places look realisticand the damage is realistic I like playing take a ride it's fun using all the different kinds of cars. like I said FUN FUN FUN buy it on EBAY AMAZON or EBGAMES.com

A cool game, except for crumpy graphics
Yes, Driver 2 is known as cool game and a bad graphic made game. I like the cities and all but, missions are too hard and images are like stupid. I would recommend Driver 1 and Driv3r because they are better at playing. The foot missions are kinda cool, but Atari/Infogrames, increase graphics when releasing Driv3r.

Awesome Game!
Driver 2 is a great game. It has good sound,, good control, and it's a lot of fun. I haven't played the first one so I don't know how much worse or better the second version is from the first version. The only problemm is that iit's graphics are a little off, but otherwise, it's a great game.
