MKT is all of the charactors from MK 1,2 and 3 with 3's story. If you like the old school games, you'll love this one.

Pros:
*Features over 30 charactors.
*Has many fun codes and cheats.

Cons:
*Very outdated graphics(that's a given).

This game was almost perfect.
I did not own this game for Playstation, I owned it for PC. But they are exactly the same.

After an upgrade past windows 95, this game never would work on my PC again. But I have thought about getting the Playstaion for this game (or a rom, shhhh)

This game combined mortal kombat's 1, 2, 3 and another version, I forget the name into the one game. And that was a great move. Finally all the charactors where playable in the one game, even hidden charactors where findable like a cool charactor named Chameleon who was a ninja, but kept changing, he'd morph into scorpion, sub zero, reptile, rain ect...

All the charactors where there. But not all the backgrounds where, a few where missing. What made this game the best was turning on one button fatality isntead of memorising thousand step codes that wouldnt always work. You's just go to the options menu and hold Up, and the block buttons or something and it would let you access a secret option menu where you could select the cool cheats. One button fatalitys was the best, you could press one button when it said finish to do the finisher 1, 2, freind shipm animality ect.. this is still my favorite MK game. I have rated it here because the N64 version sucked and was not a trilogy, it was MK3 with a few extra charactors.

Mortal Kombat Trilogy has everything a Mortal Kombat fan could ever ask for!All of the characters from MK I, II, III, and UMK III, all the fatalities, all the stages, an enhanced CD soundtrack (the music for the Rooftop/Pit III is the best tune!)I used to play this a lot with my one friend who lives in New York and he is the only other person who can beat me at Mortal Kombat.I'm undefeated against anyone else who challenges me.My favorite characters are Scorpion (GET OVER HERE!), Sub-Zero, Raiden, Kintaro, and Shao Kahn.The MK movie was good but it's sequel, Anniahlation sucked donkey balls.That was random, but oh well. This is a must-buy PS1 or PS2 game that is hard to find right now and a purchase that you won't regret.I still want MK: DA or MK:DE, but I will never ever sell this game!It didn't even cross my mind when I got a PS2 and sold my PS1.Don't listen to anything anyone says about this game not working on PS2 because it's not true.If you experience any problems it is because you need to turn off the Texture Smoothing and Disc Speed options that are unnecessary for this game which has great graphics on its own and fantastic music that runs at a normal speed.Buy this game! :)

MK wraps up the 2D era pretty well
Mortal Kombat Trilogy was a great game. It, obviously compiles all of the first three MK games in one package and it's made even better with the one button fatalities, animalities, babalities, brutalities, and the friendships. I heard also, that you can also, for the first time play as my favorite charactar, Shao Kahn. The only problem, I feel I must warn you is that the game is as hard as Hell. This is pretty much the only problem with the 2D Mortal Kombat games. So, if you're in for a challange and you are a Mortal Kombat fan like I am, you might want to pick this up. ... Read more

best, most real fishing game invented
This game is by far the best most acurate fishing game ever made. It even comes with it's own controller that is used just like a real rod. To cast you must swing you arm to get the lure into the water. The same goes for setting the hook when you get a bite. You must jerk your arm back to set it or the fish will get away.

The best part about this game is that you cannot see the fish in the water. When you are fishing you must look for locations that would produce fish, also you must use your fish findertoo. It's very real, seasons change in real life and they do in the game as well. In real life you must change locations when seasons change so in the game much is the same.

The level of game play can also change. You can fish in free fish mode. This mode lets you enjoy fishing at your own pace, so you can bulid your skills for the Tournament mode. This mode lets you compete with other anglers for the 1st place spot in the championship. You must learn how to fish under all differnt conditions rain, cold weather, windy, and warm.

This game was made for the fisherman by fisherman. Something you do not see when it comes to outdoor games. Usually games are very unreal, leading to disapointing purchase. Not with this game you will begin happy and end happy!!!!

The game also has many kinds of fish not just bass. There is Trout,Blue Gill,Carp,Snakehead,Largemouth Bass,Smallmouth Bass,Spotted Bass,Florida Bass, and others. pick up a copy you will be impressed. But I'm not liable for sore fingers due to extended game play because it will be hard to put down!!!!!! Enjoy, and good fishing!

Best fishing game ever, when are we getting BassLanding 2

I've played about every fishing game possible and this one is the best ever. It definitely is the most addictive game ever. My biggest bass so far is over 14 pounds. I do recomend this game to anyone. I have only two problems with it, I would have liked it if there were more lakes and more tournaments. Exelent

Good game made BETTER with the fishing controller
The game is good on it's own, but it's a MUST HAVE for the controller! While this game is not as easy as some fishing games (digital fish finder, and not an underwater view.) the robust tutorial mode will have you out on the lake and catching lunkers in no time. It will help you pick lures and land lunker sized bass in other games as well(Great for picking up the Bass fishing basicsbasics!) In addition, it provides great real-world bass fishing tips, tricks, and training (when to use certain lures, ways to cast, ways to do lure action). There are a variety of lakes to choose from, and a couple of different kinds of fish to catch. The tournaments are very challenging, and completeing them all gives you a special reward.

The fishing controller is what makes this a sweet deal. It's compatible with almost every fishing game out there, and adds to the realism of the game. Sometimes with some games the casting is a little sketchy (I thought I put more oomph in it than that???), but all in all it's a nice piece of hardware that makes a good game better.

A Must Have!
I bought this game for my 12 year old. He landed a bass the first time he played. This has gotten the whole family playing! At first it is a little overwhelming especially if you try to jump right in without reading the instructions. When you finally do take the time it turns out to be a really fun game. Hours of sadistic fun
I love this game to death. I want to be buried with it. It's flawed, but my love is unconditional.

Deception 3 takes the basic structure of the second installment, Kagero, and adds oodles more options and ways to torment your enemies (the heroine [?] isn't as scantily clad, though). You create traps by adding "emblems" such as lightning, cold, and chaos to core components like falling rocks and arrow slits. Furthermore, each trap can be upgraded by boosting its range or damage or by shortening the length of time it takes to charge up, and also by adding magic rings to add effects such as summoning (foes are drawn to the trap's location, making it ever so much easier to butcher them). There are several different buildings in which you run amok, each boasting its own assortment of rooms, some of which have built-in traps of their own such as electrified walls and pillars that can be knocked over to crush the unwary. Your adversaries include typical fantasy RPG types like thieves, knights, and witches, but Deception 3 is far more dark and grim than a standard game of Dungeons & Dragons. The death cries of your foes conjure up images of voice actors in a recording studio, frothing at the mouth with their eyes ready to pop out of their heads, and the non-linear storyline (with multiple endings, I might add) nicely illustrates that a human being can be a far more sinister, bloodthirsty monster than some lame dragon or werewolf.

The graphics during actual gameplay do a nice job contributing to the morbid atmosphere, but, admittedly, are a little dated by more modern standards. However, the images for the between-chapter menu screens are still mighty cool. Similarly, the music is lacking in variety, but what is there has a superb gothic feel and really enhances the mood of the game. Controls are simple and tight, and the challenge level is, for the most part, fairly low, but not so low that you'll be able to breeze through the game with your eyes closed (especially when you're up against a HellKnight...not only are they bad news with a capital B, they truly do look menacing enough to make you think twice about staying in their vicinity).

Few games give you such a great sense of "completeness." Deception 3 is undoubtedly the best game in the series. Its main story mode sustains its deliciously dark tone from start to finish, and the trap license mode, where you must accomplish tasks such as killing an enemy with a specific trap or racking up a certain number of points within a certain amount of time, adds to the replay value signifiantly. It's a real feast for the senses if your tastes lean towards the dark side.

Good game that will keep you hooked
I wasn't sure about this game at first since you can only use the D pad.It turned out to be a lot of fun and really kept me intrested.it has 4 diff. endings and even though it is kind of a sad story, it takes a lot of thought and skill.I really liked it.

it's time to get bad

Great game, but sluggish story.
As far as game play Deception 3 is exceptional with more traps, more places to place them, more interactive environments, and a new "jump to the side move".The graphics even look better, but the story istedious; now in Japan they get voice actors and a pretty cool movie, but weget subtitles, which diminishes the story greatly.The game is great, butthe load time is horrific, and a slow story with subtitles that can't beturned off only makes it worse.

The Tecmo people have put a very interesting twist into there latest game, Deception 3, by allowing you to be the "bad guy". This game is very, VERY bad
Packed with ugly graphics, boring and slow gameplay, Toy Story 2 is an game that really sucks. The movie was boring, but this is worse. Disney/Pixar and Activision made an terrible diaster in every level, combining ugliness, boredom, stupidy and gameplay so bad that it is more boring then Spice World, which is an historical Lame-Game. Don' t buy it, Don' t try it, AVOID IT!!!!!!!!

"I am Buzz LIghtyear, I come in peace"
GREAT FUN !!!I bought this for my four-year old and he can't stop playing it.I have to force him to put down the controller at bedtime.He loves being able to shoot buzz's laser weapon.He started off needed help, he didn't really understand the concept of the game.Which is perfectly natural, since he's never played on the playstation before.But after some coaching from his daddy and myself, he's become quite a player.He's jumping around and climbing ropes and all sorts of obstacles.He knows where everything is and knows how to get there on his own.He LOVES it!I've tried playing, although I'm not much of a game player, and I love it too!!Great game, highly recommend.

Fun!
This game is very fun. The playable charachter is Buzz Lightyear. The game is like the movie. Ther are mini bosses too, for example: the electronic robot, and the Zurg kite. To unlock levels or bosses, you have to have the givin amount of Pizza Planet tokens. You get them by comleting tasks or looking around each level very carefully. Here is a tip for beating bosses: Press R1 and hold down the shoot butten, you will see that your laser meter is extending, when it is fully charged, and let go. This will take more of the enimies life away. In most levels you will find Ham. Walk up to him. He will ask you to bring a certain amount of coins to him. If you do he will give you a Pizza Planet token. In some levels Mr. Potatohead will be standing around somewhere. He will ask you to find one of his missing body parts. Bring it to him and he will give you a Pizza Planet token.

Monster Rancher 2 is the sequel to one of the strangestand most innovative games ever produced. It is a virtual pet simulatorin many ways, but transcends that description by virtue of its variedgameplay elements and combat-oriented theme. The game begins with thecreation of a monster, which is accomplished by inserting any CD (evenan audio CD) into the PlayStation. A unique monster is generated fromthe data that is imbedded on each CD. Once you have your uniqueCD-generated beast, it's time to go to the ranch for training. With eachtraining session, you will raise your monster stamina and strengthstatistics, which gives each particular monster a better chance forsuccess in the game's exciting combat mode.

Sending an undisciplined monster into the arena is a recipe for failure,so much of our playing time involved training our creations and watchingthem develop into lethal, confident juggernauts. I enjoy this game alot because of the emazing variety of monsters and the use of your outher C.D's to get more monsters. I enjoyed training my creatures and scolding or praseing my monster after training.

Monster Rancher 2
Well, if you've ever played animal games, you might like this one. You have a goal to acheive by breeding many monsters to put them in combat for many different reasons. Just make sure you don't run out of money- you'll lose the game! When you figure out that you can unlock monsters with all the CDs in your home, you'll go outside, going door by door asking everybody and anybody to borrow CDs. But be warned. Monsters can and will die due to harsh treatment, so be careful.

I gave this one star because the seller sent us a scratched and damaged game and it wouldn't work, so, I couldn't even play it! One look at the cd and it would be evident that the product that was received was in poor shape and I would never buy anything from them again and would not encourage others to either--since they send sub-standard products to hard-working consumers who aren't being paid to examine their products, just receive them in terrible condition.

Easy Addiction
This game is dangerous! It's impossible to stop playing. Monster Rancher 2 was the first Monster Rancher game that I had ever played, and I was in awe! The idea of removing the disc so often (and have the game still work) was foreign to me, but I loved it. Although spinning all of those discs can get frustrating sometimes, you quickly get the hang of it. (I've spent up to 6 hours at a time removing the game, putting in a CD, etc!) The result of your hard work is quite rewarding. Some of the great features of this game: 408 total different monsters; Combining monsters; Monster playtime (have snowball fights!); Long gameplay; FUN! This is by far my favorite Monster Rancher game!

Monster Rancher 2 is a fun game, but it's different from Monster Rancher 3 and Monster Rancher Advance, but almost the same as Monster Rancher 1. The thing is you can't unlick a monster and keep it in your book(in Monster Rancher 3 it's an encyclopedia.) It is the hardest of the three... Very good game...but
It can get very "stupid" at times, but, there is a lot of fun in the game and many funny parts in it as well. Females might get "offended" by some of the dateing parts in the game, but please remember its only a game ok, even if the game is a bit "pigish". Very good cartoon graphics.

Started good,BUT...
This game started out very interesting, but as it wore on, i got bored and just stopped playing.I was interested in the idea of a dating sim incorporated into an RPG, but honestly, it got old.It was funny at first, but eventually i just wanted to get on with the story, and of course the fighting, which was pretty lacking.Overall, it didnt keep my interest, and it left me asking myself, "What the heck was THAT supposed to be?"

A videogame for the playas.... =P
The ONLY weak link in this game is the battle system. As a Japanese RPG, it is a very tight package. Plot, storyline, character development, character interaction graphics (dated, but the FMV rivals Square) and the voice acting (perfectly cheesy) is all first rate. The gameplay is excellent and the dating sim more fun than I possibly imagined, and quite possibly this is the funniest game I ever played. I wish the genre was more popular in America.

As I said the battle system is the only weak link. It takes place in 2D, similar to a 2D fighter. The monsters are on the left, your 3 characters on the right.Only your front character can actually fight. The two in the back can only cast support spells, but this battle design makes the battles pretty easy. I don't think I died one time. Nonetheless the rest of the game makes up for this shortcoming. Come on Atlus! Where's the sequel?!?

Sodina and Meis Triumph!!
This is the first dating sim/ RPG I played, and I loved it! The characters were kawaii (cute) and memorable. The midi's were enchanting and the graphics were good for a ps game. The voice acting was fine and the items you receive in the game are cool. what more can i say but own this under-rated game!

I'm At A Loss
I am totally at a loss for this game.On one hand it has so many original idea's in terms of both plot and gameplay (And has the closest thing to a sim dating game we'll probably ever see), but the way you actually play it leaves me at a loss for words.It's not that the battle system makes no sense, or is bad even, it's the leveling up that confuses me.You don't get stronger when you level up.Your defense gets weaker when you level up.You get more health but you seem to loose more health at the same token too.I'm am at a loss that the creaters of this game could make so many good idea's and make them so poor because they can't figure out commen sense when it comes to leveling up.

If you want an RPG that's original get this...just don't exspect to get anywhere with it. ... Read more

Best game i've ever played
This game is the best game I have ever played.Its so fun that I have clocked it About 3 Times.It startes of with u {George Stobart}trying to find your girlfriend {Nico} that some guy had poisond with a dart.You get caught up in this legend About 3 stones And how u have to find them to Save the world Against an evel spirit.U have to solve clues,Travel all over the world,save people, stair death in the face, and u even Make a few frinds along the way aswell as a few enemys.You can play as both nico and george at different times of the game.I totally recomend this game .Beleive me u wont be disapointted

Quite enjoyable
It makes a great sequel. Lots of fans of Broken Sword say it's not nearly as good as its predeccesor but I think it's equally good. Though the graphics are a little groggy on the playstation version they still are quite nice. The game is undoubtedly an adventure and strategy type game. There is absoulutely no action or fighting. That does not automatically mean it has no suspense. To fight you have to look at your suroundings and choose what to use on your opponet. George(main character) takes it over from there. Simple?yes. It has simple 2-D graphics and point and click control. After all it was originally a PC game. Plus it is a bit old. In fact I was only 6 when it first came out in 1997. I would type more but i'm getting bored. If you want to check it out you should just try buying it from here because it's most likely no where else. You most likely won't be able to rent it from anywhere. You should definetly check it out. It can be quite hard and frustrating at times so you should check out www... for walkthroughs and hints. It also has a great forum with a lot of great people from all over the world. The game itself was actually made in Europe somewhere. Sorry I couldn't give you anymore information. Brilliant, great follow up
Broken Sword two follows George Stobbart and Nico as they continue their adventures. In this sequel the storyline remains equally intricate. Stobbart is your average jack-of-all-trades and he has that knack of using everyday objects to do extraordinary things. You also get the oppurtunity to control Nico, something you don't get in Broken Sword 1.

There are quite a few puzzles which are difficult to solve and require some lateral thinking. There is also an added danger factor. But the game is thoroughly enjoyable and I'd reccomend it to anyone.

A great follow up
This game is an excellent sequel to the first Broken Sword (aka Circle of Blood). The 2D graphics are the same, which is great.If you can find this game for the PC, then grab it!

Very decent adventure
I like this game a lot - the story about old mayan religion is very interesting and deep. You take on the role as George Stobbard who has to find his girlfriend who seemingly was kidnapped by a mayan indian. As the story unfolds you'll be tangled up in everything from drug smuggling to ghosts to the possible end of the world.

The puzzles are usually well though out, though some of them seem a little obscure. What really stands out is the voice acting and music - both very well done. The humour is also great and the graphics is classy.

The only real problem is that the story, while good, sometimes drags on a little too long and it's easy to lose interest if you're not focused. With that said though; the game is very good and there are parts of the story that are truely creepy. ... Read more

This ones a little better.
In 1991, arcades were, to put it mildly, suffering. Most games in that era were shooters, or bland walk-to-the-right-and-hit-buttons-fast beat 'em ups. Capcom released a quiet sequel to one of its games and consequently changed the way we play. The game, of course, was Street Fighter II. SF2 and its various sequels spawned an arcade revolution, the effects of which are still felt to this very day. Capcom's previous Street Fighter collection contained some of the later Street Fighter titles. This second pack contains the original Street Fighter 2, and its two upgrades, SF2: Champion Edition, and SF2 Turbo: Hyper Fighting. The games have translated onto the PlayStation very well, which, given that the arcade version's engine was programmed in 1991, isn't too surprising. The games all look, sound, and play like their arcade counterparts. There is also a small museum-type section that contains info and art from the games. The gameplay holds up nicely after all these years. While it may seem a bit plain and a little sluggish compared to some of the games we've seen since, these games are still the chess of the fighting game world. Everything else is merely checkers. I was immediately reminded of the time (and, ouch, the money) I spent in arcades with these three games. The weeks of practice it took for me to become a respectable player. The thirty or so times that I just never went back to school after lunch, because I was stuck at a pizza place with a few friends, glued to Champion Edition. Graphically, the game does look dated, even though Capcom has been using roughly the same character graphics for several years now. The soundtrack is still really good. These classic tunes can be remixed forever, but the originals still sound the best. The PlayStation also makes a smooth transition from the normal to the hyped-up "near-death" music with nearly no load time. However, the game does have a significant, though not overbearing load between fights. Forget the other Street Fighter Collection. This is the volume that is actually worth owning. Those of you who spent hundreds of dollars on these three games when they first came out owe it to yourselves to have a copy of this around, even if only for posterity's sake. You never know when you'll want to see how well those skills hold up against an old friend. Those of you that haven't played these games really should at least rent this collection. Consider it a history lesson.

First Love
This game started it all. It maybe limited to graphics from back in the day, but you gotta admit that if you love fighting games, this one got you hooked. I remember playing this in the arcade for hours then comeing home and playing this on my SNES for hours as well. Simply put, one of the best fighting games of all time, a timeless classic in my honest opinion!!!

DULL!
this collection is so boring all it contains is street fighter the world warrior, street fighter champion edition and street fighter turbo hyper fighting. those street fighters are outdated they were release far back in 1991 and 1992.and the gameplay is soooo slow the only one you might play is turbo hyper fighting. because the other two gameplay is very slow. this collection is dull, if i were you i would take the previous collection which contains super street fighter, super street fighter turbo and alpha 2 gold those games are much better and much faster. that is the better collection this volume2 collection [is no good].

awesome in every respect
3 arcade perfect conversions in 1 CD. The original fighter that started the whole fighting genre. Great fighting action with incredibly intelligent A.I. High replay value. Almost impossible to find this game. Just plain fun!

super nintendos street fighter2s are harder and cheaper
I always like the street fighter games best on super because thay are harder. than collection2 are fun but not hard and you are crazy if you are going to spend a lot money on this one.people sell it for to much money. Better than the 3rd edition PC Game!
Well,OK,first off,I have both WWTBAM 3rd edition for PC,and Playstation,but if I had to chose which one I would rather play,definetly Playstation! It moves faster a different commentary by Regis than the 3rd editon PC,and he auctually sounds awake! Unlike the 3rd PC version they slapped together overnight to throw on the shelves by Monday,this may not have the question downloads for the net,but I don't feel I'm missing out by playing this on PS,the question set downloads aren't all that great...Another great thing about it on the Playstation is they restored the sound effects the 3rd edition for PC were lacking,and the PS version moves much faster and quicker stops between questions,which I think they could easily do without completely. The only thing I disliked is that they never changed the graphics...hopefully it they will beef up the graphics when the 4th edition comes out.

I like this game a lot but I feel it is a little high priced & isn't a game (6) yr olds can play unless you have a Highly intelligent child! Also a handful of the same ? pop up somewhat frequently!

Not Bad!
A new third edition for playstation. The game is not bad. It is a lot of fun to play. Every time you play it, you never want to stop until you win the million. But there are a few bad things about this game. It still is a little slow like the second edition for playstation, some of the phone a friends don't give you an answer because they don't know it, most of the questions are really tough, it only gives you 30 seconds to answer, you can't download new questions like the computer version, and there are only 100 more questions than the second edition. But overall the game is fun. Too bad I couldn't give it 5 stars because of those bad things. But still I encourage everyone to buy it. The music and the effects makes it seem so real. Very Addictive once you get started
I actually missed this game when it first came out and actually bought it about a month ago.This game makes a pretty poor first impression.The first few battles are coma inducing boring because you can't really do much.Also the storyline is sort of iffy at the beginning since they try to jam a whole bunch of stuff in your head at once, and you'll probably get confused.However once things get going this game is really fun.The game has been compared to FFT a lot, but the actual battle engine is more like Front Mission 3.It even has the same mini-cut scene when you attack.They characters taunt each others during the cut-scenes which can be really funny, but it is hard to see both the taunt and the attack sometimes.You gain new abilities by upgrading your stats, and equipping gems to your ATAC (Giant Mec) The stronger the skill the more AP (Action Points) it costs, and the more FP (Fatigue points) you use.When your FP reaches 100 your character is frozen for one turn, and can't dodge which can be rough.Overall battles aren't overly complicated, but they are very amusing and can get pretty intense toward the end.You'll start to get obsessed with getting certain characters to get their ultimate attacks.Most of the ATAC's look the same, but their are enough unique ones to keep it interesting.This game has three seperate storylines for you to go through.The storyline you get is based on certain requirements that you fufil in the game.All three are of medium length so it's a pretty long game if you add them all togather.It also has good replay value since their is 5 different endings, you will have to go through the game again to get them all (although one you may not want to get).The storyline is interesting, its not ground-breaking, but its pretty good, and can be funny at times.Its fun to see different characters become allies and enemies depending on your choices.Overall I think this game is very fun and should be in any Strategy/RPG fans collection.

One of the Best games ever
This game is one of the best fantasy games I've ever played!It's graphics arnt anything to brag about but it has a great story!If you like games with multiple endings and a great story buy this game!!

Has its flaws, but all in all, a great game.
Being a fan of Working Designs, I must admit that I was a bit biased when I first played this game. But all personal preferences aside, this game is one that no RPG/Strategy fan should miss! Think Final Fantasy Tactics meets Front Mission 3 meets Brigandine. I personnally did not like Brigandine, but I must state a resemblance in the battle scenes. The standard game consists of sprite-based mechs, called ATACs, moving about a 3-D polygonal field. Once you enter a battle, the veiw switches to a fully polygonal, 3-D action scene. The different attacks are interesting to watch, but there is an option to turn them off, in case they get repetitive. Beleive me, they WILL get repetitive, until you learn new attacks. The battle system is quite smart, using stats like agility, mech ability, weapon, and relative position to determine damage and percent of success. The music gets repetitive, but the intro and title screen songs are CD quality, and fairly catchy. The story scenes between battles use text-based conversations, and, although they're helpful to the story, they tend to be quite boring and will have you tapping the controller, waiting to get to the next battle. If you do take the time to read the conversations, you will find a compelling story about a young boy and his friends trying to bring peace to the world. Common story, but it has enough plot twists and player-based decisions to stand out from the crowd. There are five different endings, almost 60 missions, and 32 different ATACs to see. You'll have to play through the game many times to see all the missions, ATACs, and endings. The game itself is very similar to Final Fantasy Tactics. If you liked FFT, I'm sure you'll like Vanguard.

Very, Very Addictive!
When I first got this game i thought it wasn't going to that good, only getting around three stars from. It is a very fun game if you can get past some of the characters,(a little fat boy who drives a mech thing), and the annoying music. But, you will find yourself humming the tunes! The battle system is similair to Final Fantsy Tatics and Vandal Hearts, but you are in knight looking mechs. This game is also very addictive, you will be in your room for DAYS! Simulated City - Just Like the Computer Version!
Rated "E" for "Everyone" - you are the governor, you add zones for industry, commercial & residential; manage the city's budget; add parks & recreation; do landscaping, etc. Try to get people to move in and make your city grow.Disasters (such as fires, flooding & crashes) can be turned "on" or "off" - I recommend keeping the disasters option turned "off" because the disasters seem to occur overly frequently otherwise (this feature could be improved.)There are also various city scenarios to choose from in which certain pre-programmed situations or disasters occur and you have a certain amount of time to reach a given goal (population number, budget, etc.) - to test your skills.Very fun & entertaining; sucks away a lot of time, which can be either good or bad! I've also actually learned some stuff about cities and budgeting from this game.For example, if you take out too many bonds at a time, it's extremely difficult to get your city's population to grow fast enough to pay the interest, let alone make any profit.(Very similar to charging on credit cards...)At first I thought it would be nice to have a city with only parks and recreational and residential areas.However, I quickly learned that industry and commercial areas are needed near any residential areas in order to provide jobs and shops for potential residents before any people will move in.The options and controls take a little getting used to at the beginning, but once you've figured those out, SimCity 2000 becomes highly addictive!

Warcraft 2
This game shows true stragey and action as well as satisfying graphics this game is rare now but it is one of the best games that i've borrowed at one time i am now trying to buy this game.

Simple, repetitive, but very addicting!!
I've owned just about every game console made and go through many games. But, for some reason, this technologically archaic game is my favorite of all time. I'd give it 5 stars, but the graphics and loading times are very substandard. Playing without any cheats makes this game extremely challenging and will eat up many, many hours. But using some cheats can be fun and also make this a total destruction of the enemy type of game (and still can take hours). Many scenarios, good intensity as you progress, and need for strategy to succeed earns this game 4 stars. Graphics and slow processing keeps the fifth star out. Great game!!

This game isn't that good with Warcraft 3 out.
It has bad graphics but great gameplay. If you want Warcraft 2 just get the third version unless you have a bad computer or something.

Total war
This game isn't exactly your graphic dream its more like a nightmare, but the gameplay i think is addicting. I have played many games like this on computer, playstation, and on the 64. So far the pc has done the best job with these games, but the game systems I feel arent doing enough with strategy games. PS2 in my sense has not realesed a decent one yet. Age of the Empires 2 was set to realese Q3 of 2000. Its not Q3 of 2002 and this game is still not out. Stratagy games such as this sell very well, and game systems are stupid not to develope more like this. Warcraft II features hours of gameplay and non-stop at that (if your willing to make the commitment) one level may take several hours. This game gives a challange gamers don't see very often these days and although you may get frustrated it's for your own good. On my list of games to have Warcraft II for psx is close to the top, and thats why i give this game 5 stars.

It's A Good Game,But It Could Have Been Better
Okay,Star Wars Rebel Assault 2 is a really good game,but if LucasArts and Factor 5 spent more time on it,I would've given it five stars.

You play the role of Rookie 1,and you're sent to inspect the Dreighton Triangle,because many ships have dissapeared there.But then a swarm of Tie Fighters come in and shoot you down.

You land on a planet,then you look for a YT-1300 Transport,while blasting StormTroopers all around(there are ground combat missions,too).
Then later in the game,you're sent to capture one of the Empire's Phantom Fighters.And guess what?There's even a first person shooter level too!
This isn't a game for younger kids,because it can get incredibly hard on different levels.

Pros:
Good graphics,on ground combat missions and various levels.

Plenty of action.

Three dificulty levels(easy,medium,and hard).

Ground Combat Missions!

Cons:
The game doesn't support the analog stick controllers.

Awful graphics on most of the levels.

You can't truely control the ships.They mostly control themselves while you blast the heck out of everything.

Having two disks is inconveinient.You have to put disk one in your PlayStation for the game to start,then put disk two in to acsess the later levels,if you've goten to them.

Sometimes controling where the crosshairs go is hard using the little arrow buttons.
There need to be more ground combat missions(come on,there's only three of them!)!

Overall,this is a good game,but it could have been WAY better.

Rebel Assault II
This is one of the best games I've ever played! Its graphics are realistic and dynamic!! You can't stop playing once you start-you'll be hooked!

Great for people that find modern games too hard
I don't know about the rest of you, but today's games are generally WAY to hard for me to get through even the first couple of levels.I found this to be just right for me.It has breathtaking graphics and a quick pace, yet is intrinsically easy to figure out what you're supposed to do.This game has been around for the PSX since the early days and seems to be better than most of the Star Wars games that have come out since.

Good For Begining Players
This game was a very fast, easy, boring game. It wasn't fun because most of the game was clips from the Star Wars movies. The only reason I gave it two stars was because it would show some excitment to young begining players.

Action Packed Blasters
This game is one of the best games I have ever played. I have played a lot of games like this and this is the best. The first level starts of easy but as you go on it gets harder. It will keep you on your toes throught the rest of the game. It has a varity of levels. From in space to blaters fights on the ground. It will also make you test your piloting skills. So if your good at flying through tight spaces you'll like the game. I promise. After every level there is a scene from the movie that will help you on the next level so you will be prepared. If your a fan of command & conquer, or rts games in general, pick this up... The game is years old, and I still have a blast setting up the link cables and having hours of skirmishes with friends.

A game for those who don't play games.
Command and Conquer Red Alert Retaliation is the only game I can play every second of every year and never get tired of playing it. I ordered this game from amazon because I knew I could depend on it being here in one peice and this game is impossible to find, yet Amazon has everything.
When I purchased it, I had a special reason, I was off work for a week and all my roomates worked until 6:00, so I had all day in my house with no cable, car or phone, or even internet, so I knew this game would keep me company and happy. I have never been so exited about a game and I would never write a review on anything that didn't deserve it. Educational and so much fun, this war game is the top out of all games ever written. If you want something so many people have played but got caught up in the new scene of video games, than you need to come back to the good stuff.
Command and Conquer Red Alert Retaliation

good game but better for computer
when i first got this game i was so excited and ran to my playstation and started to play it. the game had excellent music and a VERY WIDE selection of levels and arens. this game has almost no diffrence bettween red alert command and conquer. the only real diffrence is the new units. even that is not much. they have a tesla tank, M.A.D tank and a shock tropper, i will start with the tesla tank. the tesla tank is a nice wepoon to have but it is not that good for attacks. they are really a defense wepon for attacking men. the M.A.D tank is a tank that sends shock waves out to destroy building but not men. it does this by self destructing. it is a good wepon to send in and let is blow up a lot of junk and then send all you men in. now here is the shock tropper. he is a nice attacking unit. it costs $800 dollars and is worth the price. they can not be ran over so that is real helpful. they can easily take out a building with out many casulties. this game is over all pretty good but the graphics are pretty nice but not as good as computer. the computer version has couple of diffrend levels and has a pretty nice plot.(the computer game of command and conquer red alert retaliaton is is the expansion pack for command and conquer red alert: command and conquer aftermath) if you dont have very fast computer then you should get this for playstaion. ... Games are all about living vicariously, either in a wonderland or anadventure land. Of course, one could never actually play out the role of adeadly, stealthy ninja in real life, but Tenchu 2 supplies an excellentsimulation.

Players assume the role of one of three assassins in over 29 levels. Theseninjas can run, bounce around, and roll every which way. They're armed with alethal array of items, from a simple grappling hook to poisonous rice balls,left for unsuspecting foes to munch on.

Tenchu 2 is completely 3-D, and like most 3-D games, players will befighting the camera at times, especially when combating enemies in closequarters. On the other hand, it's possible to take out any foe with a singlestrike--if that foe never sees his assassin coming. OH MY GAWD!
This game is bad.I loved the first Tenchu game, and the PS2 version rocks.The entertainment factor here can best be described as standing on a packed bus on an 95 degree day, with no air-conditioning....someone crapped thier pants...you don't know who, the bus stinks, you just missed your stop, and the next stop is not for another 20 minutes....yeah it's that much fun!The game play is rough, the landscapes are not interesting, and it lacks all of the fine tuned quality of the first game.You are constantly fighting the camera angles.

This game has taken some heat from professional reviewers for not being up to the caliber of the original Syberia. In some ways, I agree with those reviews. As a stand-alone game, I don't think Syberia 2 measures up to the first game. HOWEVER, this is a continuation. Playing Syberia 2 without having played Syberia is akin to opening up a 1000 page novel and starting at page 500, and then wondering why you don't care much about the characters. Yes, Syberia 2 picks up exactly where Syberia left off, and for fans of the first game, this is great. It means there's no contrived rehash of events or reintroduction of characters. The story just moves along. In fact, I'd like to see Syberia 1 and 2 bundled as a single, huge game, since that's really what they form.

Strikers 1945
Tnis is the ultimate shooting game. there are so many enemies such as aircraft carriers that break in half and one half becomes a crab with cannons and guns all over it, zepplins that can spray bullets like a hose sprays water (literally in that same pattern), giant tanks that will shoot you out of the sky, submarines that sink and come back up as a scorpion with a giant cannon fora tail and guns all over it, buildings that open up and have three AA cannons inside them, not to menchion the trains with armor and usually pull giant tanks. But along with this the plane YOU choose has things as good if not better than those such as one plane can launch a giant nuclear missile 10x bigger than you at the enemy that will destroy anything underneath it, another will call in two stealth bombers ( even though they are a little early for their time) that will bomb the crap out of any enemy, another plane will call in a plane glowing white that looks just like a concor and i haven't figured out what it does. Another plane will call in a giant bomber almost as big as the screen that can shoot in every direction, and another p,ane can call in an army of planes that will destroy everything!So if you like shooters then get this game ASAP

This game was kool in the arcade, I always stuck in a few tokens. Getting it home was cool too. Its fast paced and the levels are too short, unlike raiden which is well paced and longer. It seems to have a better smart bomb than the aracde did and the graphics are generally kool for a shooter. Its a great shooter if you are a fan, its way better than philsoma, what a let down that was, not as good as r-type or raiden, but offers 2 player shooter action unlike r-types, you can play it with your girlfriend (always a plus) so buy it if you are a shooter fan, otherwise go wow yourself with some over produced rpg.

I recently bought PSOne with LCD screen, and play this game vertically just like arcade (ok, only available in import version).And I just can't help myself from being awed at this old game, where graphic looks so much better than certain newer games out there.Of course, you might say the newer games have better graphics(yes indeed, games like Silpheed), but look at them objective.They have this 'uneasy' feel to it, just using computer to make up all the enemies, special effects, and all that.However, Strikers 1945 boasts much more realistic, looks like hand-drawn graphic, believable explosion.

Of course, I wouldn't say this is the best shooters out there right now, however, when this particular genre is disappearing,

Yes, this game does have its own flaws, such as kind-of unlimited continues (but you won't be able to beat it in one sitting, like some other shooters out there with real-time unlimited continues..so unwise..what's the point of beating the game in one sitting?? THINK!!), certain enemy attacks are nearly impossible to dodge (ok, may be it's just me who just can't seem to dodge them when other people are having no time doing that), however, its merits are way greater than its flaws. You wanna talk strictly about shooter games with having Radiant Silvergun as the standard for experience?You wanna talk about Shienryu/Galatic Attack as best typical vertical shooters as the standard for fun factor? You wanna talk about Silpheed as the standard for graphic? You wanna talk about Ray Storm as the standard for music and best ending? You wanna talk about Bangaioh as the standard for creativity? Then 5 Stars doesn't make sense for Strikers 1945.May be 3 1/2 or 4? However, this is good enough, to receive 5 Stars at this time, where shooter is dying genre.I fully enjoyed it and play time to time again and again.I try not to use those special attack as I play more and more, and that itself is awarding enough.

Whether you like shooter or not, with this priceline and the fact you are here to own near perfect arcade shooter, it's priceless, at least, it's priceless for me.Please Enjoy It!!!

Quality gameplay, but is weaked by it's short length
The Playstation version of Strikers 1945 is a near-perfect port of the arcade game.Basically, it's an old style overhead-view shooting game with a theme loosely based on World War 2. There are several different aircraft to choose from, each with their own attack style and bomb shots...but the levels are just way too short. It only takes about 20 minutes to beat from start to finish, and the whole game just has a "rushed" feel to it. The enemy design could use some work in a few places also (giant humanoid mechs do not belong in a WW2 setting). Despite it's short-comings, Strikers 1945 is still worth a look if you like the old shooting games like Twin Eagle and Raiden. As with all games of this type though, play it in 2-player co-op mode with a friend if you want to get the most out of it. ... Read more

It's a keeper
I'm really into the Saiyuki anime that is running in Japan. In looking for Saiyuki on amazon I found this game. I'm happy to have obtain it since there isn't any talk at all about it. I love the game, it gives me about 40 hours of game play and a good store line. Granted, you need patience to play the game due to the turn based system.

Very good story...
Another solid tactical rpg, based on a great story and well designed. Its too bad this was one of the last playstation titles released and has been overlooked for the most part. The only complaint i have was there was little in terms of side quests, and the game was fairly easy. I did not lose a single character in battle, the dojo's for practicing and leveling up was interesting but I found that a little tedious. The missions where better to do anyways cause you could earn gold and why fight for free? Anyways its not final fantasy tactics, tactics ogre, or vandal hearts 1/2 but if you've beat all those too, then this is solid game to enjoy.

Tactical RPG with giant monsters!
Saiyuki was what I'd expected it to be: it was good, but not great. Saiyuki is a tactical turn-based RPG, basically a dumbed down version of Final Fantasy Tactics. I bought it based on that, as well as some decent reviews.

The combat is fun, which is good, because tactical RPG's are all about the combat. It is also a little innovative, mainly in the fact that members of your party can transform into Weres, giant monsters with more hit points and a variety of special attacks. They turned out to be less useful and important than I'd imagined, because only one person at a time can be one, and you have a very restrictive number of Were points to work with, especially early on.

The battles are also smaller than is most preferable. The maps aren't very big, first of all, and you can only control 6 people at a time (most things don't match Shining Force's 12 people). One annoying combat point is that Saiyuki is king of palette swapping; in general, rather than introducing new monsters, it just changes the color and level of the old ones, which isn't very cool. Also, the attack animations for spells are repetitive, and way too long, and are poor quality anyway, but they can be turned off. The entire game, actually, is graphically plain, though that isn't too important in any sort of RPG, and there are some nice touches, like the character portraits.

The plot is actually very good, especially for a tactical RPG. It is linear, but very interesting. It is based on a Chinese myth, the same one which spawned Dragon Ball Z (although it is similar in Goku's name only). It is cool, without having a fancy presentation. Saiyuki also has a very good cast of characters, including the main enemies.

Saiyuki took about 30 hours to finish, but it is easy to play in small amounts, like one or two battles, so length shouldn't be a deterrent. I recommend Saiyuki, but not particularly highly. You should play it if you like tactical RPG's, but there are some better ones to play, like the Shining Force series, Front Mission, or Final Fantasy Tactics, especially as an introduction to the genre. Still, it is fun.

Pretty good game..!
I thought this game was pretty good. It's your basic tactics style game. Your path is pretty much dictated to you (you can't go roaming around on a world map) and battles invole a little more strategy than just selecting "attack" or "use spell".

The game has nice characters, the story line is cool, and the BGM is nice.

Just Plain Fun!
This game hasn't sold very well. That's a great shame, because it's loads of fun.

Mechanically, it's quite similar to Final Fantasy Tactics; you travel from point to point, learning parts of the story as you go, and then engaging in tactical battles that become more complex and more dangerous as time goes on. Since FFTactics was a good tactics game, this means that Saiyuki, too, is a quite enjoyable tactical game.

Where Saiyuki shines, though, is in the story and characters. There have been many different adaptations of the Monkey King and Journey West -- a game called "Wu Kung" for the PC, the anime Dragonball, and so on -- but this one has its own charm. The wandering monk, Sanzo, gathers together a group of guardians to oppose certain dark forces and to retrieve a collection of ancient wisdom from distant India. Each character is given several expressions to accompany and emphasize their dialogue, and their designs are well-executed to reflect their character; the self-serving, mischievious Monkey King Son Goku, the innocent and earnest monk Sanzo, the haughty Daughter of the Dragon, and so on. The characters do not just focus exclusively on the plotline, but often banter amongst each other, giving us insights into what they are like and how they get along during their travels. There's nothing tremendously deep or literary about these characters, but for a video game they're amazingly well executed. When I'm playing, I'm looking forward to each interaction and wondering what I'm going to learn about the characters. The battles are good, but the story's better.

Great to play old-fashioned card games for Senior Citizens
My dad and his wife are retired, and they LOVE to play the games on this Playstation CD. This game has probably gotten more use than the television. It has a variety of old-time games, (pre-video age), card games, checkers, chess, backgammon, etc., that are made easier to quickly setup and play over and over again, which they do VERY often, literally everyday! My dad is 68 years old, and he sits for hours, everyday, playing the solotaire card game called Klondike.

This PS disc is so addictive that my dad bought a second Playstation and TV, sitting side-by-side, so that two people can play their own games while still be hanging out with another couch potato. So my dad and his wife each bought a copy of this FAMILY GAME PACK, and they spend many hours everyday, playing. It's better than having them just watch TV, at least they have to think about the card games and interact, and there is a feeling of suspense and tension that is felt while playing each hand of the card games, so the "excitement" is constant.

I enjoy playing the Hearts card game, and the Spades card game. These two are played with/against 3 other computer players. Each computer player has a name, and adifferent skill level (it seems) with different card games. "Molly" and "Toni" are quite skilled and ruthless Hearts players, but if they play the Spades card game then Molly gets sloppy with her bidding. Hearts is fun because it shuffles the card quickly, and the computer players are pretty good, quite a challenge. Spades is almost as fun, but I see that the computer program has some predictable styles of play (they usually refuse to toss an Ace on an opponents King, I don't know why). This different style of playing is equally irritating as it is interesting. Maybe the computer knows something about Spades that I never considered?

Compared to most video games full of fast action excitement, this game offers a large variety of Playstation versions of NON-video gaming.

If there are retired folks in your life, you probably know that they love to play calm, old-fashioned games, and this Playstation disc makesit easy for them to play solotaire card games WAY too much. You will find that you are trying to get your senior family members to stop playing with the Playstation so much!

I have only one son age 9 who need to be kept occupied.Being a single working mother with homework to check and dinner to cook. It's more rewarding for me to buy a games that he can play with the computer as a playmate he thinks his real start when he's able to beat the computer, plus it has a varity of many games .
