Amazon.com Review Assuming the role of sexy UNITY operative Cate Archer, you must complete 15enormous and distinct missions to keep the world safe from H.A.R.M., anefariousorganization rife with colorful arch-villains. In true Hollywood style, thegameis laced with cutscenes that set the stage for your missions and advance theplot by showing H.A.R.M. higher-ups boasting about their evil plans. Thedialogue in both the cutscenes and the in-game action sequences is witty andgenuinely funny, and the voice acting is excellent. We found ourselves hidingindark corners just so we could eavesdrop on the bad guys. The comic antics end abruptly when enemies catch wind of your presence.Whetherthey stumble across a body you carelessly left in your wake, hear you creepingabout, respond to a tripped alarm, or simply see you, these foes are allbusiness. They will stalk you, duck behind cover, and call for reinforcements. All the action is straight from a spy movie: shoot a guy on a balcony, andhe'lltumble over the rail and fall to the ground. Fire a gun underwater, and you'llsee the spiral trail of the bullet. Most missions can be approached in a variety of ways, and althoughfull-frontalassaults are possible, stealthy progression is usually better for your health.Being a superspy, you'll have plenty of gadgets to help you along the way, froma lock-pick barrette to a robotic poodle capable of turning even the mostferocious attack dog into man's best friend. Players who like to send a moredirect message will enjoy playing with the game's full assortment of firearms, including Bond-worthy silencer pistols and briefcase rocket launchers. The quality of AI and inventiveness of the single-player missions arefortunatebecause the multiplayer component doesn't compare to Unreal Tournament or Counter-Strike. Regardless,No One Lives Forever should be on the short list of any fan offirst-person shooters looking for an unbeatable solo experience. --T. ByrlBaker Pros: Reviews (59)

This is the second Tony Hawk game on the Xbox. The Xbox version of Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 3 has better graphics than the PS2 and the Gamecube. I played all three versions, but the Xbox's graphics was better, but the graphics was slightly better. The Xbox version has less slowdown than the PS2 and the Gamecube. It also has extra stuff, too. It has an Exclusive Xbox level and a secret character. Gameplay- There are nearly two dozen characters in the game. There are a lot of modes for you to play in. This game is a lot of fun. You could play two player or just one. The career mode is the heart of the game. You play in each level and you try to complete goals that must be completed to open new levels. The money thing in Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 2 is gone, but they replaced it with the five stat points. In each level, there's a new deck design. There are also three competition levels. If you played Tony Hawk 2X, the controls are about the same. The grinds and verts are the same, too. There's a meter for manuals and grinds. This game is all about the grinds and manuals I think because you need them for those Sick Scores. The Sick Scores are 500,000 points. They added a new thing to this game which is the revert. By pressing the trigger just before landing from a vert trick or an invert, you can continue the trick line. That is also useful. The levels are a lot of fun in the game. The environments are realistic. Story- This game is about skateboarding and this can be played by anyone. If you like or dislike skateboarding, this game still can be fun. There are five multiplayer modes. Trick Attack is fairly simple. You just do tricks to see who can achieve the highest score. Horse is when you take turns trying to do tricks. The first person does a trick, and the second person has to beat the score. If the person doesn't beat the score he gets a letter. Graffiti is when you trick everywhere. You can grind and do tricks on ramps and they will be your color. If your opponent does a trick on the ramp that you just did on, and he has a higher score than you, it's his ramp now. Slap! This is just like tag. You try to knock them over. King of the Hill is a race to find the crowns and become the king of the hill. Audio/Video- The Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 3 soundtrack is awesome. The tunes are good in the game. If you get sick of the tunes of Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 3, you can always customize your own soundtrack. I customized my soundtrack and it was cool. Tony Hawk was skating to Britney Spears. It was quite funny. The sound effects are nice. The sounds of grinds are pretty good. Pedestrians will talk as you pass by. The graphics of this game are totally awesome! This game maintains 60fps throughout most levels. There are just a few slowdowns and most of them are in the start of the levels. The Xbox version was actual smoother than the PS2 and the Gamecube. The slowdowns are greatly improved. The levels are big with great detail. The Xbox version has slightly better blood smears. Each of the characters in this game are fully animated. The environments are filled with pedestrians and cars. There is also traffic and can run you over. Birds fly, cops chasing the robbers, and some other things. Replayability- Once you beat the game, it's worth playing it over and over again with a new character or your own created character. This game will last you until Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 4 comes out. In this game, you will never get bored, or unless you absolutely suck at this game. You could play multiplayer which is cool, too. Buy or Rent- If you are a hardcore fan of the Tony Hawk Pro Skater series, then I suggest you to purchase this game. If you aren't into this game, and want to try it out, I suggest you to RENT. If you think that Tony Hawk Pro Skater 2X [stunk], I suggest you to rent it to see how awesome the version is.

The other day I played NBA Live 2004 for the first time. I could not believe the realism. Everything is extremely realistic. You feel like your actually in a basketball game. The commentary can't get any better. The gameplay is outstanding, too. The smooth graphics and player animations. You can use EVERY classic uniform from every team in a game.

Amazon.com Review Also surprisingly absent this time around is the ability to throw body punches. While some boxers have this punch in their repertoires as a body combination, the best you can do with others is slug away at your opponent's head with amultitude of hooks, jabs, straight punches, low blows, or illegal backhands. Andslug away you must if you expect to hold your own against stiffer competition,as finesse options are limited. Where Knockout Kings 2002 truly shines is in its graphics, thanks to thecombination of boxers' well-sculpted physiques and EA Sports's face-mappingtechnology. The eye-catching detail of the various arenas and rings furtherenhances the realism, right down to the excitable fans in the seats and theblood flying from fighters' mouths. Satisfying smacks of gloves to the face andthuds of bodies hitting the deck can also be heard in abundance. --LarryWhite Pros: Reviews (46)
Some of its problems is that Muhammad Ali is too strong and too fast. I was able to beat him, but it took a while to figure out his style. In fact, so much attention and skill is given to Ali that one would think the game should be called Muhammad Ali boxing rather than KK 2002. Another problem is that it's hard to throw body blows. I accidently discovered how to throw body blows when I pressed a bunch of buttons. Until that point, I didn't know I was able to use body punches. It was disappointing to see only a few popular boxers in this game. It would have been cool to see Dempsey, Marciano, Liston, Tyson, etc. ... Read more

save your money for a gamecube instead...
PROS: CONS: If you've got a Game Boy Advance, make sure you buy one of these, as it is somewhat of a necessity.
using game link cables, you can have up to four players play at the same time.it takes one cable to connect two people, two to connect three people, and three to connect four people. i have one problem with it though: why is it grey and PURPLE?most video gamers are guys, and most guys i know are not crazy about the color purple.oh well. This is probably the best game link on the market currently.get one if you plan to play with other people on your GBA.

This version of THPS2 is terrible. Oh, yeah, it's tons of fun when you haven't played the Playstation version, but when you have, you realize just how pitifull this is. On PS, it's rated T, because they don't blurt out words like "hell" on songs. On Nintedno, It's rated E, so the whole family can enjoy censored versions of songs by Powerman 5000, Papa Roach & Rage Aganist the Machine. And another thing music wise: THEY DON'T EVEN PLAY THE WHOLE SONG! They cut out one of the choruses and the verses (this is an example), and just let it go from there. And the track doesn't go to the next track when it's done; it just plays over and over and over, to where you have to change it yourself every 3 listens. And it's not just the music. There's too much to say, so just play the PS version, PLEASE! ... Read more

Amazon.com Product Description Reviews (15)
Fighting with sarge and his crew is fun but with an army behind you it's allot better. This time instead of being just sarge going around winning a war by yourself you get to build an army that helps you win the war. The basic gist of the game is to lead an attack and slowly take a house from tan forces, you start at the front of the lawn. It's a unique idea like all army men games. One of the biggest draw backs to the game were two things, you only get one camera angle and your guys attack everything and anything they see wether you want them to or not.Everythings seems to go to gether smoothly other than that though. Overall I recommend the game, it's fun.
However, the game is too simple for dedicated RTS fans. If you like a hardcore RTS, you are much better off with Warcraft 3 or Commandos 2. Most of the game is too simple, and can end up feeling like RTS for beginners. Which is not a very good thing because ther is not enough depth to the combat. And that hurts the replay value. But for those of us who relate our Army Men experience to playing Sarge's Heroes 2 or Air Attack, things are the opposite. It gets a little to complicated. If you just want to go through the level and blast things, this is not the best option. There is too much resource management, and menues get too hard to navigate. When I just wanted to movve all my troops forward and use all there ammo on a legion of TAN, I could not do that. On the other side of things, there are quite a few fans of the original Army Men game on PC. If you liked that, you will probably like Army Men RTS, too. Things are not as deep or as involving as games like Starcraft, so you will be familar with this game. Overall, if you think this is an action game, it will come off as too complicated. But if you are looking for an involving RTS, it is too simple. IF you are in the middle, well then, you have a good buy. However, the package itself is dragged down by bland graphics and poor camera angles. ... Read more

Amazon.com Review NBA 2K2 features all the teams, rosters, and, most importantly, rulechanges (like the now-legal zone defense) found in the real NBA. Player faceshave been mapped to realistic body types (complete with tattoos), so you canidentify a big man like Shaq or a speedster like Iverson without looking attheir numbers. The game takes full advantage of the graphics-rendering power ofadvanced consoles by including better texturing, lighting effects, facialanimations, and a higher polygon count to make sure all the jukes, spins, jumps, and dunks are as realistic as possible. The audio is also good, particularly theplay-by-play, which is accurate and speedy. The controls are intuitive--even for people used to the Dreamcast--especially inthe area of on-the-fly play calling. You can now use the right analog stickinstead of the digital pad, so you don't have to take your thumb off the maincontrols (left analog stick) to call a new play or change formations. Othercontrols let you quickly and fluidly box out your opponent, spin, shoot, pass, fake, and dunk. There are also eight street-ball courts, and this addition makes for almost anentirely new game. In this respect, it is the equal of the EA Sports NBA Liveseries. But NBA 2K2 surpasses EA's title with its excellent AI. This gameis challenging, satisfying, and fun in both single and multiplayer modes.--Bob Andrews Pros: (This review refers to the PlayStation2 version of this game.) Reviews (30)

Amazon.com Product Description (This text refers to the Dreamcast version of this game.) Reviews (7)
Now the good stuff - I like that this game is easy to learn yet hard to master. I speak with some authority, having spend most of my freshman year of college playing friends over the network. On the playstation, it keeps all of its good qualities, and just has the few caveats described above. The game combines cartoon physics with cartoon violence (think of a weapon that launches exploding cows and worms that do martial arts moves). Realistically, most games for a younger audience tend to need a little violence to sell, and this is perhaps the nicest way to give that necessary allure - mostly in that someone does not have exploding cows at their disposal. There are several factors in using the "weapons" in the game which make a player think creatively about physics - throwing a grenade against the wind, deciding how much force to launch a, ahem, cow with, etc. Overall the game provides countless hours of fun and humorous gameplay. Enjoy!
I honestly see a number of comparisons between Worms and golf. The player thinks through which club/weapon would be best to use given the cirumstances and conditions. What type of shot should be made? What angle is necessary to pull the shot off?Which direction is the wind blowing? However, in addition the Worms player must think about defense.Should I burrow in here?If I transport there, will that leave me open to be killed during the next round? This is a true thinking game, but it's so much fun to play. No, you won't get killer graphics and fast paced action, but you will get a good challange and an awesome game to play against friends. Now, onto this particular Worms game.World Party is very, very similar to Worms Armageddon. In fact, they are about the same game.If you don't have a Worms game, this is as good as any of the three to get. However, if you already have Armageddon, this game isn't going to offer much that's new.

Amazon.com Product Description The new impact player option allows the gamer to edit the route or assignment of any play in the team's playbook. There's an all-new running game AI, and more than 1,500 brand-new catches, sticks, and hits, including some animations that were motion-captured using professional stuntmen swinging from rigging wires. Real player stats, abilities, attributes, and attitudes add detailed realism to the game. The enhanced Create-a-Player mode allows the user to not only select the player's height, weight, and position, but also the uniform, face, head size and type, size of pads, facemask, and more. The game features enormous 3-D player models, with bulging muscles and real-player faces. The over-the-top gameplay features players leaping, soaring, and diving for passes; stiff-arming, bulldozing, and railroading would-be defenders; and passing with precision. Intuitive, fast-action, extreme-style controls allow for quick-response gameplay. The game is equipped with the original NFL Blitz point-'n'-pass system and icon passing. Dynamic camera angles capture all of the deep crossing routes and monster sticks by linebackers. Reviews (14)

As adventure games go this one is pretty straight forward and doesn't require a mensa membership to make significant progress. The bulk of the tasks in the game are not too hard to figure out, yet there are a few stumpers in there as well. Gameplay is clear. You can move the main character around the current screen and either interact with other characters, manipulate objects, or go to other screens. The GBA rendering is nice. There are some dialog scenes which are easy to speed through if you wish although you occasionaly get critical information via dialog. There is one scene in which having the sound turned up might provide some value.Towards the end of the adventure, gameplay is not just puzzles but also reacting quickly to events. Some dislikes: This is a good game to play and will definitely keep you entertained. It is easy enough to keep you engaged but hard enough to make you work for it.
overall:
The background is gorgeous, all hand drawn, the commentary is funny and witty, (press "B" on objects, some comments can be really hilarious like on the seats in the church in Paris)The plot can be surprisingly tense, and suspenseful, esspecially when you discover you can die, so save often. If you liked this game, I'd definately suggest the book "Saving the Queen" by William F. Buckley, its just as good, but our hero is with the CIA and deals with some good old fashioned "Cold War" stuff, instead of Knights of the round table.Even if you don't read much or dissagree with WFB's politics, PLEASE READ!!! You don't know what your missing.

Amazon.com Review In Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 2, players were introduced to the manual--amove that greatly revolutionized the series' gameplay. This installmentintroduces the revert, and while it isn't as significant an addition as themanual, it does add another layer to the already deep trick system. The gamefeatures solid graphics, but a level of detail was sacrificed in order to makethe game's levels so large. There are a few frame skips and polygon clips, butthese occasions are rare and do not overshadow the stellar gameplay. Career mode is as deep as ever, with eight objective-filled levels. In thissingle-player mode, players traverse their way through some brilliantly designedcourses to achieve high scores, find the letters to the word "skate," findhidden videotapes, and interact with level-specific objects. Two players canparticipate in the five multiplayer minigames, which include king of the hill, horse, and trick attack. Up to four players can join Internet or LAN gamesthrough the use of the PS2 Network Adapter or numerous USB devices. SupportedUSB Ethernet adapters include LinkSys EtherFast USB100TX, D-Link DSB-650TX, SMCEZNET-USB 2102, and SOHOware NUB100. Supported USB modems include Zoom FaxModem2985L, Pocket NetSurfer NMT00700, MultiTech MT5634ZBA, and ActiontecUSB56012-01CW. USB keyboards are also supported, enabling players to type trash online. We tested Internet play using the LinkSys and a DSL modem; the action was verysmooth with no noticeable lag. On its own, this is a top-shelf title, butconsidering its Internet capabilities, there's no reason for fans of sports, action, and platform games not to own Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 3. This gamewill satisfy them all. --Raymond M. Padilla Pros: Reviews (234)

Amazon.com Product Description The game's music and overall presentation are similar to the UFC telecasts. Whether players are using a custom-made brawler or a real-life UFC athlete in the eight-player or 16-player tournament, arcade, training, or versus modes, the realistic moves make for a compelling and immersive experience. The shader technology of the Xbox allows clear definition of every bead of sweat--as well as the blood and bruising that occur throughout each fight--adding to the game's intense realism. Reviews (25)
The level of gore doesn't do a lot, just add some blood drops on the matt on its max level, but that's it. The fights can be very very fast, specially if you and your opponent don't know exactly what moves are doing, and that will happen because you won't know wich combination of buttons to press in each situation you'll encounter. You will probably end up pressing a couple of combinations for every match and that's it, or maybe connect the other control and play against your self to try to figure out what does what and how each character respond to what you have found. I really recommend that you find yourself a guide or something if you're planning to buy this title. Or rent it beforehand. All that said, it's a fun game. ... Read more
