Simply put, the game has too much activity for younger children...heck who am I kidding, even I had a hard time trying to figure out who I was, where I was, and what I was doing. If your looking for something enjoyable for your youngster, try the Rugrats Royal Ransom game. That's much better for little hands! Bottom line:D-
The characters are badly drawn, have no voices or sound clips or anything from the shows!I want my money back.Too bad, no refunds. I suggest, if you are still wanting this game, to go rent it first, then decide not to buy it. ... Read more

This is a tetris type puzzle game is fun and simple.it is the type of game you play for hours and lose track of time. I would reccomend this game to people of all ages. if your looking for a great puzzle game you've found it!
The very core of this addictively fascinating game is this "Chain Combo" system where you have to think carefully before you place your falling pieces. You see, the thing with tetris is that you don't really have to think about how you would build your blocks and eliminate them, just keep on stack them and eliminate them whenever you have the right piece (unless you are after big scoring). However, PuyoPop forces you to think before you lay that slowly falling piece if you are going after chain combo, while being able to see what color pieces will be coming next.Of course, this game can be played as tetris, where you just stack them in group of four and eliminate them. However, the real fun comes when and only you play to build this chain combo, and trust me, you will have to think hard (ok, at least for me). I bought GBA Link to play with my friend, and trust me, and trust me, there's nothing like this (and man, I can't believe I'm 28..feel like I'm in jr. high again..) The story mode wasn't that convincing, not at all, but it's better than nothing..yet I believe that this kind of corny story line might be perfect for kids, who know how to appreciate them (in fact, this corny story line might be just perfect for this kind of game..). I can just picture two people, dad and daughter, friends, brothers, sisters, and even lovers.. the possibility is endless...Don't miss this what could be the best multi-player game of all time and experience what the fuss is all about. Ok, I better go and practice to take him down with chain-combo attack!! ... Read more

Anyhow, the game is definitly loaded with features (most of which are already explained by other reviews) but the one thing I wanted to emphasize is that this game actually helped better my game play tremendously!
For those who are saavy about chess programs, yes, I admit that Fritz is the second-strongest program ... Shredder 8 (also a Chessbase product) is definitely stronger than Fritz, but if you aren't Gary Kasparov, who knows the difference?Besides, in my view Shredder suffers from several defects ... its principal variation (PV) in analysis can be complete rubbish (ie: hanging a queen for no compensation), although it's first move of the PV is always first-rate.Also, Shredder's playing style is "dryer" and more technical (e.g. boring) than Fritz. If you want a tip-top program that plays like a boring machine, grinding out wins, then get Shredder. If you want a program that will come at you like a doberman, then get Junior, Hiarcs or Chess Tiger. But if you want the best of both of these worlds, then get Fritz! Hey, let's face it ... unless you are a Grandmaster, any of the top programs I named, on their top level, will tear you to tiny little pieces every time, especially when you're playing blitz. However, Fritz has many modes (like Friend, Sparring and "personalities") that can lead it to playing like you! There are dozens of ways to change or "dummy down" Fritz's play, and you can have fun with all of them. You can also use Fritz's GUI to play the many FREE winboard or UCI engines freely available on the Internet (I have about 3 dozen, but many more are available). So, it's like having a whole chess club at your disposal, and you can even have the various engines and personalities play each other in matches or tournaments, or help you play against Fritz.(I don't know about you, but I need help against the silicon beasts.) One observation ... which program does Gary Kasparov (and other top players like Anand, Kramnik, Leko, etc) use and analyze with?Fritz.Did Chessmaster get a match with Gary Kasparov or Vladimir Kramnik?Nope ... only Fritz and Junior did.If Kasparov says Fritz analyzes the best, that's good enough for me! Fritz's database is also very useful and it's GUI and many features are top-notch.Also, if you are a serious chess player and want to get the top chess database program, Chessbase, then Fritz will fit in seamlessly. How can you go wrong, especially at this discounted price?(Don't hold your breath looking for a discount at Chessbase...ha, ha.) So the bottom line?Fritz is #1.Get it from Amazon!I did, and don't regret it a bit. ... Read more

Amazon.com Review The game features two teams of squat, cartoonish, big-headed kids. Some are onthe playing field and some reside in the back zone ready to scoot up a lob andnail an opponent in the back or from the side. The animations, particularly whena kid gets squashed, are amusing, and, after all, are also the point of thegame. Amass points and win the match, then move on to the next horde ofbig-headed kids. There are several kinds of throws you can make to surprise your opponents, including a cool corkscrew throw and a straight-up overhanded bean ball. As youknock teams out (no pun intended), you advance toward the world competition(shades of South Park here), where you represent your favorite nation. You can also link up with an opponent for a little head-to-head action, which isthe best way to dish out some virtual pain onto local bullies who lack your madvideo gaming skills. --Andrew S. This is the second Tony Hawk game on the Xbox. The Xbox version of Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 3 has better graphics than the PS2 and the Gamecube. I played all three versions, but the Xbox's graphics was better, but the graphics was slightly better. The Xbox version has less slowdown than the PS2 and the Gamecube. It also has extra stuff, too. It has an Exclusive Xbox level and a secret character. Gameplay- There are nearly two dozen characters in the game. There are a lot of modes for you to play in. This game is a lot of fun. You could play two player or just one. The career mode is the heart of the game. You play in each level and you try to complete goals that must be completed to open new levels. The money thing in Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 2 is gone, but they replaced it with the five stat points. In each level, there's a new deck design. There are also three competition levels. If you played Tony Hawk 2X, the controls are about the same. The grinds and verts are the same, too. There's a meter for manuals and grinds. This game is all about the grinds and manuals I think because you need them for those Sick Scores. The Sick Scores are 500,000 points. They added a new thing to this game which is the revert. By pressing the trigger just before landing from a vert trick or an invert, you can continue the trick line. That is also useful. The levels are a lot of fun in the game. The environments are realistic. Story- This game is about skateboarding and this can be played by anyone. If you like or dislike skateboarding, this game still can be fun. There are five multiplayer modes. Trick Attack is fairly simple. You just do tricks to see who can achieve the highest score. Horse is when you take turns trying to do tricks. The first person does a trick, and the second person has to beat the score. If the person doesn't beat the score he gets a letter. Graffiti is when you trick everywhere. You can grind and do tricks on ramps and they will be your color. If your opponent does a trick on the ramp that you just did on, and he has a higher score than you, it's his ramp now. Slap! This is just like tag. You try to knock them over. King of the Hill is a race to find the crowns and become the king of the hill. Audio/Video- The Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 3 soundtrack is awesome. The tunes are good in the game. If you get sick of the tunes of Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 3, you can always customize your own soundtrack. I customized my soundtrack and it was cool. Tony Hawk was skating to Britney Spears. It was quite funny. The sound effects are nice. The sounds of grinds are pretty good. Pedestrians will talk as you pass by. The graphics of this game are totally awesome! This game maintains 60fps throughout most levels. There are just a few slowdowns and most of them are in the start of the levels. The Xbox version was actual smoother than the PS2 and the Gamecube. The slowdowns are greatly improved. The levels are big with great detail. The Xbox version has slightly better blood smears. Each of the characters in this game are fully animated. The environments are filled with pedestrians and cars. There is also traffic and can run you over. Birds fly, cops chasing the robbers, and some other things. Replayability- Once you beat the game, it's worth playing it over and over again with a new character or your own created character. This game will last you until Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 4 comes out. In this game, you will never get bored, or unless you absolutely suck at this game. You could play multiplayer which is cool, too. Buy or Rent- If you are a hardcore fan of the Tony Hawk Pro Skater series, then I suggest you to purchase this game. If you aren't into this game, and want to try it out, I suggest you to RENT. If you think that Tony Hawk Pro Skater 2X [stunk], I suggest you to rent it to see how awesome the version is.

Amazon.com Review Nobody actually dies in this game, which is good. So, instead of the life meter commonto most adventure games, Classic Creep Capers has a courage meter, which letsyou know how much more fright Shag and Scoob can stand without bolting out of thelevel and having to start anew. Each time something scares them--which happens prettyfrequently--they lose some of their courage, and the game pauses to feature a shakeanimation. The gameplay is very straightforward--sometimes inanely so. What you're asked to do ismove Shaggy through each level, picking up clues and various other items that can beused to trap the villainous level bosses. You can't proceed from one level to the next untilyou've picked up everything. While unraveling these mysteries, players use the A button for practically everything. The player presses it to search for things, pick up items, and to talk to people. The onlyother button used is the R button, which opens up the game's menu screen. It's just amatter of tapping the A button to activate a particular item and use it or give it to the gangto help solve the mystery. It's all very simple, which turns out to be one of the game'sstrengths. Although the idea of unmasking fake ghosts will no doubt appeal to theSaturday-morning nostalgia of older gamers, this game is aimed squarely at the younger set in bothits content and gameplay. --Todd Mowatt Pros: Reviews (19)

But the game is really GREAT, EXCITING, ADVENTUROUS, CHALLENGING, and really I can go on and on.This is just my son's and my own personal opingion of this PS Game.Keep up the excellent work. Sincerely, Angela Hudnall & Markus Hudnall,
This time around, the plot is based more around the Tarzan books but uses the Disney movie characters for the playing, like it's brother on PS1. Gameplay is simple and you follow an "invisible" track that always either guides you along or behind, never able to explore the jungle past your "King of the Apes Boundry Fence." Also, with a unique twist, you can river surf, bungee jump, water ski, vine surf and do various tricks on all of them. I don't like how in today's world, all of those sports just have to have tricks to go along with them. Why not just do these sports and enjoy the ride? Still, it was rather enjoyable to do moves such as reverse sking and hand-sliding. There are also two modes of gameplay: Story Mode, which is like your typical platformer, and Terk's Challenges, (Terk is a character from the Disney movie Tarzan, for those of you who don't know.) In Terk's Mode, you do Time Attacks, Trick Score Challenges, and Terk's Super Challenge which combines the two, on every level. Most of it was pretty easy, but sometimes the Super Challenges were pretty tough to do. Anyway, this game is a true Disney Interactive game, with simple gameplay, various perks and still aims for younger Disney Movie fans and "Just-Starting-Out" video game players. Still, somtimes it's just fun to untame the beast within, and play for old-time's sake as the King of the Apes, Tarzan.

Amazon.com Review The game gives players instructions as they progress through the levels. Whenyou come to something new, Donald's nephews explain what's going on. While nothaving to read an instruction book is nice, the game explains so many simpleconcepts from the beginning that this feature hinders more than it helps. Forinstance, gift boxes contain power-ups. Power-ups are good. You should getthem. The game's graphics quality varies greatly throughout. For example, some of thebuildings show great detail while, in another area, it can be difficult to tellwhether you're facing a cliff or a thorny plant. Also, while Donald is superblyanimated, the game's many textures look grainy compared to those of other PS2titles. The sound, on the other hand, is spot on. The sound effects are also pleasantlycartoon-like, but the voices are annoying, especially Donald's. Experienced gamers will blow through this one, assuming they want to, andyounger gamers will find the game sufficiently challenging and fun. But gamersyoung and old will agree: There's nothing to like about Donald's new voice.--Todd Mowatt Pros: Reviews (11)
The game is very linear - you are forced to walk along a path. I can over-look this because of the cute graphics. However, some of the levels are very long and it's very tough to get through them without getting killed dozens of times. Argh!!!
This is the story: Daisy has been kidnapped by Merlock and you (Donald, of course) have to save her. Donald's friend Gyro has invented a machine that can teleport Donald to Merlock's castle so that you can save Daisy, but first you have to collect parts to make it more powerful. So you get sent through different parts of the world to collect cogs & such, and beating various bosses along the away. Huey, Louie and Dewey hang around to give Donald tips and teach him "Special Moves". Though it appears to be a kids' game, it's actually pretty challenging & at times frustrating, so I wouldn't recommend it for younger gamers. Like I said, if you like the Crash series, then you'll probably like this game. Overall it has PS2-worthy graphics & speed, decent plot depth and good gameplay. It's definitely worth trying out, but rent it before you buy it. ... Read more

My son recently purchased The Sims Collection. I was with him when he placed the order so that I could handle the CC info. This game clearly states in the ad that it will work with Windows 98/me/XP. NOT TRUE. We received the game and upon installation,The Sims and Theme Park lock up his system (he has XP). I went on line and found that others have had the same problem. I emailed Amazon to see if they will accept a return although their policy on software indicates they will not. This is nonsense. Not everyone is a "techie" or a full time "gamer", You rely on the information provided by the COMPANY YOU ARE BUYING FROM. Beware of one sided deals. With Amazon, they will suck you in with low proces..but then,...You buy it, you own it. If it doesn't work, tell your kids to deal with it and buy them another from someone that can accurately describe the products they sell and know the difference between 98/ME and XP. Ben Holstein
As for the Sims online, I never got into that, even though I'm a huge sims fan.The reason being that you pay the money for the game and get, at the time of realease, a free two months to play online. But, after this time you have to pay like $10 a month to use it, since you have to play online and you have to pay to do so. I have Sim Themepark and played it for a couple of months, it was actually quite fun, the graphics could have been better, but all in all it was decent, but once you play all the way through and buy everything it loses its luster and gets old pretty fast. I haven't played this version of SimCity, but have played other versions.I always got a kick out of playing it but once again it gets old pretty fast.A lot of the time after you've played it for a while, I at least, started making disasters happen just for some excitement.Again, I haven't played this version and the newest version (not this one) looks really great, with better graphics and all, even expansions to the game. Overall, I'd say that if you know that you really want SimCity or Sim Theme Park and you are inserested in seeing what the sims is and not wanting to really expand it that much and you don't want to just wait for the Sims 2 release then by all means get this.Don't buy it for Sims Online unless you are willing to pay the money every month for the ability to play it. Overall I think for $40 this ain't that bad, the games are on the old side now but are generally still fun, excluding Sims Online (though I've heard that's all in what you make of it, but you still have to pay to play). Since you can get the updated versions of these game now for like this price my final word is that if you are getting this because you like one of the games then forego getting this and get the better newer version of that game. But if you want to try them out then go ahead. I hope this helps someone decide on whether to buy this bundle. ^_^ ***UPDATED 04-17-2004:Well I've come back and looked at this again recently and see that they've lowered the price. For $20 I guess that makes it a little better. It's seems bargain basement compared to the $40 it was at.I still say that if you are just getting this for one of the games then get the updated versions, but if you just want to try these all out then go for it.$20 is hard to pass up for 4 games.Though you still have to remember you have to pay $10 a month to play sims online.*** ... Amazon.com Review The game was developed by Jellyvision, famous for its irreverent You Don't Know Jack series of trivia games. Although the designers didn't have much to work with considering how Spartan the set of Who Wants To Be a Millionaire is, they did a masterful job of simulating both the mechanics and the drama of the television show, wrapping everything up in a slick interface that is immediately recognizable. It seems impossible that players could feel any tension playing Who Wants To Be a Millionaire: 2nd Edition when no real money is at stake, but the game's perfect pacing did a nice job of at least making us think we were playing for cash. That's because it doesn't deliver an immediate response when a question is answered. Just as in the game show, if you answer a question quickly host Regis Philbin will confirm or reject your answer quickly. As the game progresses and the questions get tougher there is more of a pause between your answer and the confirmation. Regis will make some comments, sometimes offering you the chance to change your mind by asking the now grating "Is that your final answer?" as the show's music and a drum roll build tension in the background. The delays were surprisingly unnerving, making us constantly second-guess our answers. Should a question prove too tough you can always fall back on your three lifelines. The designers polled 50 random people to provide data for the "Ask the Audience" lifeline, and The Reege's friends dispense audio advice for the "Phone a Friend" option. Of course, the 50/50 lifeline is also available. All these elements coalesce to form a surprisingly fun trivia game, and one of the few available that is more fun to play solo than with a group of friends (although playing cooperatively with a few buddies can be fun). Games rarely take more than 20 minutes, so it's perfect for a quick trivia fix--we just wish it came with more questions. Guess we'll have to wait for the flood of sequels that is sure to follow. --T. Byrl Baker Pros: Reviews (51)
Silly questions - WAY to hard to answer... stupid game. And Regis Philbin is the most annoying man alive!
