5-0 out of 5 stars It really is LITTLE but POWERFUL
This was one of the best things i have ever bought for my gamecube, These speakers could be sold for more there that good. The price is sweet but not the only reason for buying this system. It only takes a few minutes to hook them up. After you are done, you are ready to go. They are very easy to hock up and give out a pumping sound for there size they are definatly loud enough. The control deck for the speakers rest easliy under your gamecube. That is where you can get(2)headphone jacks, and the volume control knob. Also you get 4 audio video selectors to avoid connecting, and reconnectiong cables. The lights on it are really cool too, if you want good speakers with a loud sound to inprove you gaming experence i suggest you buy these speakers you will be glad you did.

4-0 out of 5 stars LITTLE butPOWERFUL
These speakers are better than they are worth. You pay a fee of 50$, and that is pretty reasonable.Whereas for other systems, you pay about 100$ or more for sound systems. The price isn't the only thing that is good, but the actual speakers are.It only takes a few minutes to hook them up.After you are done, you are ready to go.They give a good sound quality for how small they are.If you like, you don't have to put your tv speakers on.That is because the intec speakers are loud enough. However, when both tv and intec speakers are on get ready for a good gaming experience. The control deck for the speakers rest easliy under your gamecube. That is where you can get(2)headphone jacks, and the volume control knob. Also you get 4 audio video selectors to avoid connecting, and reconnectiong cables. The only thing i can not figure out, is that there is no LED lights that flash to the sound of the game.I have no idea where they got that from.Otherwise these are a good purchase to boost up your gaming experience.

4-0 out of 5 stars Underrated! This game will test the best of the best!
Here's the deal, many of the reviewers say this is like playing SSX tricky on wheels! Well, with all due respect, its not! Freelstyle is far more challenging that SSX tricky as far as races go and believe me, I love SSX tricky! Plus, unlocking new tracks, bikes and riders will really test your skills. As far as the tracks themselves go, the earlier ones are short, but very tough and when u fall off your bike, there is none of that SSX tricky re-start method; here, you have to go back a few feet!! So, for the 20 dollars you will pay for this game, you will feel that you added a great new game to your collection that will challenge the most experienced gamer and greatly improve the mediocre among you! Go get it, its worth every dollar (not more than 20 though!! lol!)

5-0 out of 5 stars A new twist on FMX
I agree, in part, with someone else that wrote a review for this, saying that it was exactly like SSX Tricky. I agree that it is similar to Tricky, which is also, by the way, a really great game, but its not exactly the same. And i dont just mean the fact that it's FMX rather than snowboarding. For one, i think that its much more difficult. For another, while all the characters in Tricky are 1. all fictional, and 2. all already unlokced, you have to unlock 4 of the 8 characters in Freekstyle, and they're all real people. Their catch phrases aren't as great as say Simon's from Tricky, but that doesnt matter too much. And stats aren't increased by levels, you have to earn them by winning races. Overall, it's a really good, really fun game. If you liked tricky, and you like FMX, get this.

4-0 out of 5 stars A Kick-ur-@$$ Game
This game was ok but it hade a couple draw backs. For one the graphics can get muddy at times. herres my rating.

Graphics 4 outta 5 (For certain reasons otherwise they are great)
Music4 outta 5 (its ok but can get annoying)
Replay 5 outta 5 (play it over and over and over and over and over for all I care)

Total: 8.9 outta 10 or 4.4 outta 5

3-0 out of 5 stars Maybe it's just me...
Well... i dunno about the rest of the living, but i didn't really enjoy this one. Maybe it's because it is almost EXACTLY like SSX tricky on 2 wheels. I rented Superfly and this. I loved Superfly, but i felt i like was play a rehash of Tricky with this thing. Try both and see what you like BEFORE you bust out with the Visa.

5-0 out of 5 stars SOOOO KEWL!
THis game is absolutely GREAT!! Little kids probably would have a hard time working the controls, but older kids will think it is awesome!! The graphics are great, and it is challenging enough to keep you really interested for a long time!! One warning though-- the cheats I got from a cheat code website DO NOT WORK!! It is fun trying to get through it without cheats though!! Buy this game and have FUN!! ... Read more

1-0 out of 5 stars Wow this is craptacularly awful...
If there's one thing I loathe it's not getting bang for my buck.I have to say I feel completely ripped off having purchased this game.I'm a big fan of NBA Jam and NBA Hangtime and I thought it would be cool to have this on my GameBoy Advance SP.The first time I fired it up I thought "This is awful."I put it away in disgust.I've since tried to play (and like) the game 2 more times but I am in awe at how gawd-awful the graphics and more important the gameplay is.And like another reviewer mentioned I bought this game because of the positive reviews posted here on Amazon.com.Methinks there're people with a wicked sense of humor who enjoy the company of misery or it's one of the marketing folks from the makers of this putrid NBA Jam 2002 "port" or whatever you want to call it.I would'nt even give this crapfest 1 star but I can't post this review unless I select a rating.I give it a " -1 star".You have been warned.

3-0 out of 5 stars Not fair!
Hey, I appreciate the effort of making an NBA game but it's not enough, there has to be more than one basketball game on GBA. I think that they should make NBA Showtime or NBA Street or NBA Live on GBA. These are some of the best basketball games on different systems. On N64, I loved NBA Showtime, I'm sure that there are many other people that want to see this game on GBA. On PS2, NBA Live and NBA Street are the best basketball game on the system. If I had the chance to make video games, I would make all of these game for GBA. If you think that I am right and want more basketball games on GBA, write reviews to tell them this!

1-0 out of 5 stars Junk!!!
Didn't have in stock, yet advertized for it

1-0 out of 5 stars Arrrrggg
This is definently THE WORST BASKETBALL GAME EVER!!!!You can't tell wich playor is wich, the play is SLOPPY,you can make a shot from anywhere not to mention you can get up to 9 points at mid court!

1-0 out of 5 stars DON'T WASTE YOUR MONEY
i really like basketball i have one for every system exept gameboy and gameboy advance i thought it would be cool but if you are the kind of person who wants a realist game this is not the one for you first of all you only get to use two players on the court the people can make a basket from anywere on the court just about all the time and the people jump to the celling and instead of stealing the ball they trip you or push youover but if you do not want a realist play agaist the rule games this may be the game for you ... Amazon.com Review

NBA Street is the best arcade basketball title available. Period. Why? No refs, no clocks, and no fouls. Players will knock you over, and theypractically live for blatant goaltending throughout the game. Realistic? No, butit's always fun--even if you hate basketball.

Street has two game modes--City Circuit and Hold the Court--yet thedifferences are minimal. Both feature three-on-three games of 21, in which youmust assemble a squad composed of (initially) NBA players. Soon you'll playagainst street legends (read: bosses) that, once defeated, can be added to yourteam. Your ultimate goal is to defeat the biggest legend ever--Michael Jordan.

To survive the streets, you must learn which buttons to mash as you masterspecific stunts. This will add special points to your score and give you accessto news ways to score. Though similar to the NBA Jam games, Streetis deeper and sports a surprisingly developed finesse game.

Street does commit some fouls, however, with its over-the-top, repetitivecommentary and lack of play modes. But even if you hate arcade-style basketball, you'll find Street is different from the pack and a solid MVP contender.--Mark Brooks

This review refers to thePlayStation2 version of thegame.

Pros:

  • Good controls and gameplay
  • Pleasantly cartoonish graphics
  • Arcade approach makes it fun for those turned off by very technicalbasketball simulations
Cons:
  • Horrific commentary
  • Only 2 gameplay modes, and they're very similar
  • No 4-player support

5-0 out of 5 stars NBA Street
NBA Street is awesome. It has loads of trick moves, including dunks. The gamebreakers and busted rims are cool in every aspect. The player models and create-a-player are very realistic. It even has "Street School", which teaches you the gameplay. There are downsides, though. There are only two modes of gameplay which are kind of similar. The commentary is a tad bit annoying. Still, this is a must have for gamers.

4-0 out of 5 stars Pretty Awsome
This game is alright. You can get alot of great nba players just by winning but who said they were good at street ball? There are alot of courts to choose from but i'd recodmend the street hoops game more because there are actually real street ball players on that game like you see on tv

5-0 out of 5 stars it is awesome
Nba Street is one of the coolest games that i have ever played. It has some pretty cool characters like Yetti, Alein, and magma man. It also has Jordan, Iverson and many other real NBA players. The different places you can play and awesome different moves that you can do just hit the spot. My personal favorite is DINNER'S SERVED! But that's just me. You might like PUTIN' IT HOME orthe ALLEY-OOP. All in all, this is a fun all around good game.

4-0 out of 5 stars dunkalishis
This game is the best basket ball game ever. The cites of the game is cool. The dunking is so realistic. It is easy to beat MJ. The names of the characters is cool. You can also play as the girls in 3LW. There is a dream team member you get to chose after you beat the game things like Magma Man Alien Boy and many more. But they realy messed up on Takashie. He is the worst player. Shak can block balls better than him. There is a grip of cheat codes. The beast thing about it is that when you get real far in the game, they give you the codes. My space is running short. There is one more thing, BUY THIS GAME AND STREETS VOLUMN 2!!!

4-0 out of 5 stars Awesome!
NBA Street is awesome! I just got this game a couple days ago.
It is the coolest basketball game ever. The graphics are sweet.
And the characters are even cooler. Stretch Monroe is cool even for an Old School player. My favorite street legend is Bonafide.
BIGGS can dunk and block or should I say stuff. He is probably the strongest street legend.
BONAFIDE has mad skillz. He can handle the ball better than A.I.
He can also drain three pointers. Which comes in handy when you are playing Stretch Monroe.
DRAKE can't dunk. He goes up for the dunk but has to finger roll it instead. He is pretty embarassing for a street legend. He basically is a shooter pure shooter.
DJ's got hops. He can soar above the rim then do a 360 dunk.
He can shake even MJ.
TAKASHI is tall I mean tall he looks down at Yao Ming. Come on I mean 7'8" that's pretty unbelievable but hey it's only a video game his best skill blocking.
STRETCH is cool. In an Old School way. He isn't much of a dunker but he can drain those hook shots and he is pretty good behind the arc. They make it seem like he is impossible to beat but he is easy. I beat him with Bonafide, Takashi, and Kobe.
Graphic wise this game gets 10/10 it's so clear and perfectly Gamecube.
Sound is okay but the music is pretty annoying. I give it a 7/10
Overall this game gets 10/10. Buy it you'll be glad you did. ... Read more

4-0 out of 5 stars Who Loves Soccer?
This game has tons of action.Anyone who likes playing soccer should buy this game. All my soccer friends and I play this terrific game.

5-0 out of 5 stars Still my favorite! ...
For the record, I am reviewing the European version of FIFA 2002, for PS2 (I imagine the european and usa versions are the same quality)

written on February 12, 2003.

I received this game as a Birthday gift around Christmas, 2001.
It was frustrating to get used to the controls, and losing much of the time. But having progressed to NOW -- I LOVE this game! I have LOVED it for about 6 months. I had some initial trouble getting the database to agree with what I was asking of it (over 50 created players, over 20 created teams, editing existing team names/Player names and flushing out (or transferring) entire groups of players from existing teams, creating over 20 different cups/championships, managing team formations). It took me 4 different memory cards (for all of my tournaments, and database conflicts) ... but now things are smooth as silk!

I can sit around and play my World Cup Final Phase (including the acurate team rosters for all teams from W.C.Final Phase 2002). I created Senegal, and all of its players (+ uniforms, etc...). I updated Holland, and added missing players to other national squads.

Don't get me wrong. I am plenty angry at the database organizational problems I encountered (tell me which programmer I can yell at *hmph*). But, what the heck. It gave me something to problem-solve! And the end result is: Football Playing Bliss!

I have developed everything I want. For the record: FIFA 2003 doesn't even have a creation center and is not able to edit players, neither! FIFA 2002 is my adored game of choice for Football. (I also have "This is Football 2002", "FIFA 2003" and "Red Card 2002". I have played "Pro Evolution Soccer 2" on PS1 several times, I don't like it).

From the reviews listed here, I've noticed that many people (who DIDN'T like fifa 2002) complained that the game is too easy. My suggestion to them is : Alter the difficulty in the options menus!... That's what the options are for! Make the referee strict! Play in the hardest mode! Damn. do it!

Someone complained that the players are too small, and seem too far away. Answer: Change the camera! If you play with the ACTION camera, the players are close, and the action seems real (the faces of the players are even quite clear). Personally, I always play with the TV camera. That is my favorite (I gues it helps to have a 30 inch TV screen, as well).

That's my 2 cents worth.
I think this game rules!

I agree with almost everyone (in these reviews) that gave fifa 2002 4 or 5 stars.

5-0 out of 5 stars This game is rather
That about sums it up.This game is rather.Other FIFA games have been fun, but not as much as this one.I loved FIFA 95 for the Genesis, but this version kicks 95's patootie.I especially like the fact that you can control the keeper from anywhere on the field.

4-0 out of 5 stars Would like to review but I CAN't BUY????
Why is there no shopping cart available for this.If it is sold out it should say so.What up that? Please Help

5-0 out of 5 stars A must for true football fans!!
This is the best football game I have ever played. It is amazingly detailed: player faces, shirt sponsors, shoe colours(!?).It's got all the best teams and players from around the world. You can play seasons, tournaments (Champion's Cup, EFA Trophy and when unlocked a few others) and World Cup qualification (but alas, no actual World Cup). The controls are slightly different than 2001, but the passing system is a joy when one has mastered them.I have seen, and cannot understand people complaining about the shooting and passing, in football you never always get within the vicinity of the goal.It is a slap of reality when a player misses the goal by 10 meters because the defender is trapping you to one side.It is absolutely brilliant! If you love football, this is your game. ... 5-0 out of 5 stars tizight
This game is one of the best games I have ever played for gameboy advance. It so exciting when you get 1st place in one of the races. when I first got the game I didn't think I would like it but when I started playing I really got into the game.

4-0 out of 5 stars Fastpaced, but hasa few drawbccks.
I own this game and have raced all the tracks, but the problem i have is that, out of the five times i have beat the game, only 7 cars have opened up for racing. The game says there are 15 cars to chose from, but as you complete each race and come in first place, there are a few new cars that you have access to.My question is, how do you get the other cars to open? or are they really there? I have beat this game five times, and have gone back to each race to see ifthe other cars will be opened up, but no luck?

4-0 out of 5 stars Very Good!!!!
I bought the GBA last August when it first came out with the original GT Advance. The game was excellent except the password part. Now I tried GT Advance 2 and it was fun!!! No more annoying passwords, to save you use the Battery Save feature. Theres also a new feature that lets you listen to your co-driver as he navigates you through tough spots on a trail. This game is cool!!

5-0 out of 5 stars THIS GAME IS AWSOME.....well almost
If you are new in racing games this game will be very hard for you.
At first this game will be a bit boring because you will have to learn how to control the car but once you learn that this game will be a Perfect racer and you will love the high jumps you get when you go speeding off a hill. Another cool feature is the BATTERY SAVE, yep that's right NO MORE PASSWORDS!, but you have to remember to save the game after each race because this game has no AUTO SAVE and you will also have to remember about loading the game. Besides all of it's very small defects GT Advance 2 is a must have Racing game for your GBA

5-0 out of 5 stars awsome game

I got this controler as a present last christmas. 4-0 out of 5 stars great controller
DESPITE EVERYONE ELSES REVIEWS, I BOUGHT 2 OF THESE FOR MY KIDS, INCLUDING 2 NINTENDO CONTROLLERS. TRUTHFULLY, I CAN'T TELL THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN THE NINTENDO AND THIS ONE. FOR THE PRICE, YOU CAN'T BEAT IT. WE'VE HAD BOTH A FEW WEEKS WITH NO PROBLEMS. I THINK THEY'RE GREAT!!!!!!!!!

4-0 out of 5 stars waste of money
When I looked at this controller on the internet I had to get it. My mistake an will be your mistake if you purchase this item. This product doesn't WORK AT ALL. DON'T BUY IT AS A WARNING.

4-0 out of 5 stars waste of money
This is a horrible controller.I've already exchanged it twice and it has failed to work out of the box each time.DOn't buy!!

4-0 out of 5 stars Best gamecube controller out there(Besides wireless.)
This controller is by far the best. For people with teen sized hands the controller fits perfect. It is only a bit heavier also. The turbo button works quite well in a couple of games where rapid fire is useful. The grip makes it so you can comforatably set it in your hands. This is definately a must buy if you dont have enough for the wireless controller. It is real good for a 3rd party controller and is even better than the origional nintendo controller. This is a very good contoller if you dont have alot to spend and want a contoller that sends gaming to the limits. There is my two cents. ... Read more

5-0 out of 5 stars World War II in a box!!
** Get the most complete Battlefield 1942 Game with add-ons by choosing Battlefield 1942: World War II Anthology. If it is not available then you need to get the three games in this pack - Battlefield: 1942, Battlefield 1942 Expansion: The Road to Rome and Battlefield 1942: Secret Weapons of WWII Expansion Pack that work out a little more expensive. Battlefield 1942: Deluxe Edition has 1942 original and Road to Rome. So all you need with the Deluxe Edition is to get Secret Weapons. To be honest the steepest it works out at is. Go play the old Operation Flashpoint and pray that the spring 2006 Operation Flashpoint 2 deadline will be met with the best war multiplayer simulator ever conceived. Want to play a single player war game that matched the experience of Medal of Honour: Allied Assault? Then go play Call of Duty and get the expansion pack Call of Duty: United Offensive. Want to the play the best SWAT type tactical one on one? Then go get Half-Life 2 and play Counter-Strike. Fancy a futuristic sci-fi multiplayer with huge maps? Then get the latest Unreal Tournament. So what else is there? Well to be honest Battlefield 1942 is straight up probably one of the best multiplayer games I have played, but be warned, the simulation experience does call for infinite amounts of patients and the game is extremely buggy to install. There is very little good technical support except for what the community offers, updates can be patchy, people end up can't playing it, and it suffers from fatal spawn point easy target syndrome that has rendered many of the maps unplayable... however new maps are updated, but just don't expect the BF1942 community to be as responsive as let's say STEAM. The bottom line here is that even single player mode is not supported. The game comes pretty much as it is served so expect to spend more than a day, maybe a week, to get it to work on your machine with lots of google searches for your problem. The solutions should be found in forums troubleshooting guides. Be prepared for discs that don't appear to like firewalls, anti-virus checkers and other background processes. This is the game of games in terms of installation bugs and crashes. In short - Requires broadband INTERNET.

Single player like we said is not supported. Multiplayer is one big CAPTURE THE FLAG, but what a game of CTF! Problem right away is the lack of classes that looks restrictive but it is actually okay, with five types of soldiers to choose from - sniper, machine gun, rockets, medic, engineer... so it is closer to Team Fortress than Operation Flashpoint that allows full configuration of up to twenty classes. Having said that it does not reduce the impact of the game, but does leave the realm of simulation, deviating into more Unreal Tournament territory where there is very real possibility of just leaving your team behind and going on a frag-a-thon across the map. If you are into that sort of thing then maybe the more recent, but certainly not as good, Battlefield Vietnam, can offer you that type of solo bush mission multiplayer experience like Far Cry with lesser graphics, but if it is Pearl Harbor, Petersburg, German Forests, French Country, Operation Overlord, multiplayer style, where you can pilot lots of vehicles, and use a little team commands, then sir, Battlefield 1942 is really what you should be playing across that 1MB connection you got jacked into that modem.

So limiting by its nature of being a multiplayer only game, with a difficult install, that is quite old'ish by today's standards, still manages to provide the best World War II multiplayer entertainment you have ever seen with Operation Flashpoint beating it for realism and detail as a simulation, but this is the war game that people play online, and it still has quite a large community, meaning plenty of 60 (30/30) servers are still up and running with Battlefield 2 coming out sometime in 2005 (hopefully early) you can still live with getting this just because it offers world war II as you want to play it, on-line. I must say that even though I am an avid CS:S player, this one has stolen it for a bit. Battlefield 1942 really is worth it, after you get it running, and after you have the patients to actually play it like a solider ---- crawl for 2 minutes before sniping 3 enemy over the space of 10 minutes with guys above you on a score of 44... patients is the virtue while playing this if you want to win.... Or if you have the skill, grab a bomber and go drop some bouncers on a spawn building for mass kill. Personally I prefer to play to the sneaking sniper. You know I 0wned u. 

Pros:
- Multiplayer must-have.
- Fairly realistic simulation experience that you will play again and again.
- The only World War II simulation worth playing on-line right now.
- Good game engine. Solid playing.
- Replaces Operation Flashpoint as best on-line war simulation game.
- Really big player numbers of servers.

Cons:
- Harsh reality of enduring install problems and updates.
- Expensive.
- Needs broadband.
- Spawn points have exploit bugs.
- No voice-com.
- Not much of a team communication interface either.
- 2002 graphics... but still nice. Models need work.
- There is a bit of a learning curve.
- Not as vast as Operation Flashpoint.

5-0 out of 5 stars TOTALLY WORTH YOUR MONEY!
Blast away at elite german troops or snipe with the new semi-automatic sniper rifle. Either way, this game rocks! Best game in the world. Awesome multiplayer usage. Worth ten dollars completely so get it and play multiplayer at gamespyarcade! I will be there to play you Weston. Yes. This is your friend Bryce.

3-0 out of 5 stars Lag and Bugs too much a hindrance to keep it immersive
Too much choppy gameplay prone to lag and control issues. Icky first person gameplay compared to most any FPS. Great ideas controlling the vehicles ships and planes. Lopsided gameplay that heavily favors pilots.Communication a hindrance without real time mic chat built in and a terribly late typed messages. Sometimes almost impossible with skipping key inputs and garbled messages. Therefore any real strategy on a grand scale against the enemy is laughable. Most kids online just 'rambo' and grab a vehicle or plane and take off on their own agenda.

5-0 out of 5 stars cracking game, open play
I'll spare you all the usual blurb about this game and will simply sumarise by saying this:
- it's terrific fun.I mean it - it completely immerses you and makes you feel like you're there
- you can do whatever you want in each of the missions, including sitting back and watching your friends go in and try the attack themselves (and sometimes succeed!)
- the graphics, sound and gameplay are rivetting: you feel scared - as you should in this kind of game

I loved it, finished it and am playing it again.Thoroughly recommended...

Happy shopping
JB

5-0 out of 5 stars Battlefiled 1942 Deluxe Review
I've owned this game now for the past few weeks and feel I am now able to offer a review.I hope some of you find it useful.

Firstly, my comp specs:

Atlon 1.2Ghz
1 Gig Ram
Geforce 4ti 4600 Graphics Board
Win XP
512K Cable Connection

I run the game in 1024 x 728 resolution with all settings set to maximum and it runs smoothly and looks great. It only 'jerked' slightly when I was downloading a 250 mb file at the same time as playing!

The gameplay itself is fantastic. You can fly planes, drive jeeps, tanks even have access to battleships. At first these are hard to master but once you've practiced, and plenty of it, you should quickly become a force to reckoned with.

Most missions are objectively based so you will have to carry these out if you want to continue.Generally you and the enemy have a pool of lives each, which are depleted as you and your team mates get killed. You have to carry out the objectives prior to all your teams lives being used. The missions are historically based and quite accurate from what I hear too.The Road to Rome expansion pack adds to the longevity of the game offering addtional maps and missions and what also adds is the fact that you can play as either the Allies or Axis.

Where this game comes into its' own is in multiplayer mode over the internet. It is fair to say you do really need a hefty connection to get the best form this as there is so much going on.Theres nothing better than sitting in an anti aircraft placement shooting at fellow interneters in their planes as they fly overhead. You can also climb into a vehicle with one of your friends so that one drives and you've got an intelligent mate doing the shooting. On line you could just play it and play it and play it.Couple this with the desert combat mod, which gives you access to jets and helicopters and puts you in the gulf war it really is just superb.

So thats it really, a thoroughly enjoyable game, well executed in my opinion, and just great fun.Buy it and enjoy it! ... Read more

3-0 out of 5 stars Good, but FPW A was better
This is a very good game, but I'd recommend getting the first one for GBA instead. This one has done away with many of the features of the previous game, like tournament, league, and audience match. Now, in place of the audience match (career mode), they have a more traditional "fight your way through everyone" kind of career mode. The match types are the same (electricfied exploding cage, MMA, battle royal), but now without the tournament and league options. The roster is slightly updated, but not enough to matter (at least to me).So basically, this is a good game, but get the first one instead; it's better

4-0 out of 5 stars I love this Game
I bought this game before but I lost it but this game is still cool.

4-0 out of 5 stars A lot better than Road to Wrestle Mania for GBA.
This is without a shadow of a doubt the best wrestling game ever for GBA. This has every Organization from WWF,WCW,ECW,FMW,NJPW,AJPW,UFC,M-Pro and a lot more. It has almost every wrestler from U.S.A.'s Stone Cold Steve Austin,The Rock,Rob Van Dam,The Undertaker,Hulk Hogan,Goldberg to Japan's Great Muta,Jushin Lyger,Tiger Mask,Great Sesuke,Yuji Nagata,Hayabusa,Ultimo Dragon and a hell of a lot more. One new feature is a Biography section that is a key to help you to identify the wrestlers because they are given fake names because of copyright issues. To unlock all the hidden guys got to the EDIT menu, select EDIT Superstar

Go to the name entry

On the first line type ALL

on the line below type WRESTLERS

on the line next to it type CLEARED.
All of the hidden wrestlers should now be unlocked.

4-0 out of 5 stars Fire Pro 2 is awesome.
THis game is awesome. Unlike the first one, this has biographies of the wrestlers to help you identify them. You could beat Iron Man Road on all three difficulty settings to unlock hidden wrestlers but why bother when you could just go to the edit menu

1. select edit wrestlers

Go to Name Entry

enter the word ALL on the First line

enter WRESTLER on the line below it.

And them on the line next to that enter CLEAR.
You should have all WCW,WWF,ECW,the MMA,Ledgends and all the japanese stars unlocked.

Amazon.com Review

Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 2 doesn't look or play quite likeits other incarnations, but the amount of death-defying--or seriousinjury-defying--tricks you can pull off, and the wild level design, graphics, and responsive controls all work amazingly well for thehandheld.

With an overhead isometric view and its use of only four buttons, Hawkvets will need to readjust their attacks. Still, we were amazed by howmany tricks have been crammed into this cartridge. For the most part, the visuals are clear and detailed and the skaters are incredibly wellanimated.

Gameplay hasn't changed much. Initially, there are six levels available(more are unlocked as rewards). After picking a skater, you mustperform tricks and locate items to earn loot for buying new gear, whichwill enable you to improve your skater's stats and continue to the nextskate park. The game is sadly without some of the cooler features ofthe big consoles. For example, you cannot create parks or skaters, andmultiplay is sorely missed.

The feeling of accomplishment one gets when perfectly landing a stuntis just as satisfying on the GBA as it is on the PS One and Dreamcastversions. Even folks who don't like skateboarding games will thinkTony Hawk's Pro Skater 2 is a great (and addictive) achievementfor the handheld platform. --Mark Brooks

Pros:

  • Incredibly fluid and detailed graphics
  • Responsive controls
  • Many, many tricks
Cons:
  • Somewhat steep learning curve for all gamers, even Tony Hawk vets
  • Missing features of older versions, such as player and parkcreation
  • No multiplayer feature

5-0 out of 5 stars Tony Hawk 2
Though Tony Hawk's Pro Skater isn't new to the handheld market (it's been ported to the Game Boy Color in original and sequel forms), GBA developer Vicarious Visions has performed a stunning, overwhelmingly impressive job with a portable rendition of one of the best console games produced this decade. Though the game had to be scaled back for the system to handle, Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 2 on the Game Boy Advance is a true testament to the capabilities of the hardware, mirroring the outstanding gameplay of the original console design. Of all the titles that were produced for the Game Boy Advance's US launch, this game is the top of the heap...and it will most likely remain there for the rest of the year. Good? Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 2 is great.

Tony Hawk's Pro Skater is a fantastic game, and the Game Boy Advance version is no exception. It's one of those games where you can pop in, play a round for a few minutes before putting it away...which makes it perfect on the handheld. The Game Boy Advance version is also a technical marvel, providing the first true polygonal game on the system

5-0 out of 5 stars A Great game for all Skateboarders!
Tony Hawk hit the jackpot when he and Activision Software Company came out with Tony Hawk's Pro Skater. The sequel to the game was an even bigger hit, Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 2.The second game was different in some ways. There are more objectives to accomplish in order to get to the next level. The game has new features like new skaters and Park Editor.I played the game and beat within a couple of days.Every time I play the game I figure out something new, like hidden areas, different tricks, and how to score more points. It helped me when I was skateboarding in real life.I learned new tricks through seeing how they perform them.I would recommend this game to anyone who is a skateboarder or is thinking about skateboarding. If your just looking for a cool game, this is it.

Amazon.com Review

There was a point in time when baseball video games for the larger, morepowerful console systems made the jump from arcade action based loosely on thesport to more direct simulation. All-Star Baseball 2003 nearly makes thatleap for the Game Boy Advance--it's fun, good-looking, and you'll be surprisedat how much detail they've packed into the little cart.

If you've played any of theAll-Star Baseballgames for the consoles, you'll be familiar with the controls. The 3-Dbatting cursor, which tilts from left to right so you can pull the ball or slapit to the opposite field, is the same, though there's no hit-for-power option. The game also takes on the series' cumbersome baserunning controls. It'sdifficult to pull off a steal, but it can be done--which is better than on mosthandheld baseball games. One improvement is the tracking system for fielders, which draws a yellow dotted line between the fly ball and your outfielder. Thisis a big help, especially for such a small screen. There's also an auto-fieldingoption for those who would rather not bother.

The game gets a lot of mileage out of the GBA graphics thanks to some nice 2-Dbackdrops of all the MLB stadiums. Just don't expect Nomar Garciaparra's typicalantics in the batter's box or Jeff Nelson's sidearm delivery. You can play andsave full or half seasons--simulating any number of these games--or simply playa three-game series. The game even lets you manage your lineups for regular andinterleague play and set your pitching rotation.

The game suffers, however, from some poor timing. Like most ASB games, hittersare at a disadvantage, as the pitches come to the plate too quickly to get agood read on them. Also, throws are disproportionately faster thanbase runners--we were able to turn a double play before we even had the controlsdown, and numerous shallow outfield hits ended with our runner getting thrownout at first.

Overall, though, this is a great sports game for the GBA--a category that hasbeen poorly served for the unit in the past. --Porter B. Hall

Pros:

  • Great graphics
  • Full-season play with auto simulation
  • Team management functions, such as lineup cards and pitching rotations
Cons:
  • Cumbersome baserunning
  • Odd timing issues

2-0 out of 5 stars Not worth your money, unless you get it for $5
Graphics: The graphics are OK, except for one thing: Every player looks the same!(except for having different skin color)
The teams all have the same color, also.

Gameplay: Unless you put it on Hard (All-Star), the game is way to easy. If you tilt the batting target a certain way, you can get a hit 90% of the time. As for pitching, just pitch to a corner, and you'll get an out almost every time. Plus the baserunning is totally messed up.

Special Features: If you're getting this game for the special features in the console version, don't. There is no create-a-player, or Hall-of-Fame team. The only thing it has are trading cards, which serve no purpose.

BOTTOM LINE: Too easy, gets boring quickly, no good extras,
players and teams all look the same.

1-0 out of 5 stars Weak
I was really looking forward to playing this game, but it left me wanting more. The graphics are great, but it's extremely difficult to hit the ball, which other reviewers have pointed out as well. Sure, it's good to have a challenge, but this is just too difficult. The pitching and fielding is easy to master, but hitting--which in a video game is 95% of the fun--is just too damn hard. Save your money.

This should be picked up right now!!! I know the baserunning is a bit bad, but that's basically all of the flops. At the beginning you might think it's imossible to hit , but you just have to get used to it. And the fielding feature is a very to use.

5-0 out of 5 stars Great racing Game !
After reading all the reviews I wanted to let people know that this Racing game is great.I think most people dont like this game cause its not realistic, but I dont want games to be realistic either.I hardly like any new games, but this one is a great racing game. The graphich is ok, but the gameplay is great !! the last Grand Prix is almost impossible on the hardest levell ! You take Sunny Beach ,Green Field on the hardest level.

I recommend this if u liked the other Ridge Racer Games, Personally I loved this one and dont get the awful reviews this one has gotten, very unfair.

1-0 out of 5 stars A total waste of time
I got this on the cheap thinking that it would be a decent racing game. I was wrong. I didn't know what to expect, but cars that handle EXTREMELY unrealistically, graphics that are just average in my eyes (compared to NFS 2 Hot pursuit and GT 3) and a general unexpected hardness in gameplay made me sorry I got this game. The cars are fake, which isn't too much of an issue but you have to make the fake cars good. If you're looking for a fun racing game with realistic cars, go for Need For Speed 2: Hot Pursuit, and if you want a good driving sim, go for Gran Turismo 3. Rent this if you must, but don't spend a lot of money for it.

3-0 out of 5 stars Cool Launch Title
The ideal jaggerific racing expierience. Actualy, it's quite entertaining, and should not be overlooked, especialy by fans of the series.

2-0 out of 5 stars O......K
When i first got this it was hard. Then i played it more and more, I used the slowest car and i beet the game in about 3-4 hours. The game is to short, when you beet it all you have are the time attacks and the races were you try to beet a fake computer guys(time attack).

And how the hell do you get medls!

1-0 out of 5 stars Terrible game
I picked this up on sale... now I know why it was so cheap.Stick with the other racing games if you want to actually DRIVE a car.If, on the other hand, you want a game that doesn't even resemble racing, then by all means. The play control is absolutely terrible.I know that there is a so called style to the RR games, but this time it is really unrefined. The tracks are almost all the same, with very little variation. The announcer is perhaps even more annoying than the playcontrol, and the game takes forever to load, with many different confirmation screens to get through before actually racing.I thought the ability to design your own car down to the paint job was cool, but not enough.Oh yeah, and the girl on the box is really cute, but don't be fooled by that! ... 4-0 out of 5 stars Good for the right price, or a rental
Well, after reading the reviews on here, and the last three having horrible spelling and being the most unhelpful I've seen, I thought I'd try and shed some light on the game.

The fact is, this game was obviously made with intentions of being "eye candy" in hopes of selling lots of copies. As usual, that didn't do the company as well as say, putting more thought into the game could have done. The company that made the game, Terminal Reality, makes mostly medicore games, while this is the best of their franchises, it is still mediocre at best.

Story: I really didn't know what was going on. At first I was killing monsters and mutants, then it went on to nazis, then monsters that were possessing nazi bodies. That seemed to be the entire storyline... they didn't really put much thought into this I guess.

Graphics: Nothing amazing. They look like your typical graphics of a game from 2001/2002, but they are manageable.

Music/Sound: Good, weird sounds. Whenever you feed off a nazi or a monster, Rayne makes "mmmmm" sounds that are somewhat funny as well as distracting.

Game length: I started yesterday, and have almost beaten the game already. Estimated game play should be 5-8 hours on normal.

Controls: I don't know what people's problems are on this site with the controls. It's like they never played a video game before or something, because I got used to everything instantly. They feel almost like an FPS, though the game is played in a third person view.

It's a fun game while it lasts, and if you just want something quick to play through. Just don't pay more than $8 for it, and if anything, get the PC version instead. PC ports of games are almost always better than console ports.

1-0 out of 5 stars Ummm....
this game was fun to begin with...nothing special, no ultra realistic graphics...but i bought this game a year ago and i couldnt finish the first boss. it was impossable! Even my brother - the video game know it all - could not figure out what to do...we basically ran around loosing life over and over again for a half hour until we gave up and that was that. thats money lost that could have been spent on something better.

1-0 out of 5 stars Average but not my style
If you want to see blood, blood, and blood, this game is for you, but if you are searching a nice plot and a complete game in all aspects...

1-0 out of 5 stars THE WORST GAME EVER........
It is horibule.Do not buy it.

5-0 out of 5 stars a bloody game ive been lookin for
the graphics are good the gme i fun. before i start if you get offended by cussin cause they do say f**k and strong and i mean strong bloog and gore dont boher buying it. its definately not for kids. cause i have it and im a kid. this game is great with tons of enemies from spiders to nazis and zombies and other strange creatures that i dont even know wats called. you play as a vampire who to restore health can get it back by suckin blood.its a third person view. she haa knives onattached to her legs and hands so wen she figts she slices. people get cut in half get heads chopped offeven legs and hands. the blood is is is is how shoud i describe it ... harsh, all over the place, goriest game on list award. beside karate you can use cool guns you can even useboth hand to use to different guns at the same time. even rocket launchers and the do damge. u can make bridges collapse and stuff blow up. wen u suck blood on a person during battle you can shot still so the let turn the body around to use it as a shield or you can shoot the people while suckin blood. the game is scary and the levels look scary. you fight in grave yards, houses, flooded places, in warehouses, factories, nazi buildings, strange mutation facilities and even inside a creatures body. therers non stop fighting and tons of action. the bosses ar massive from strange to stranger. its a tough game. and has over 20 levels. its fun. ifyou like gore this is must have. ... Amazon.com Review

When Sega decided to discontinue the Dreamcast, it opted to make itsexcellent sports titles available for other consoles. And not a moment too soon.Competition is always a good thing, and Sega Sports titles, including NBA2K2, are some of the best in the business.

NBA 2K2 features all the teams, rosters, and, most importantly, rulechanges (like the now-legal zone defense) found in the real NBA. Player faceshave been mapped to realistic body types (complete with tattoos), so you canidentify a big man like Shaq and a speedster like Iverson without looking attheir numbers. The game takes full advantage of the graphics-rendering power ofadvanced consoles by including better texturing, lighting effects, and facialanimations, along with a higher polygon count, to ensure all the jukes, spins, jumps, and dunks are as realistic as possible. The audio is also good, particularly the play-by-play, which is accurate and speedy.

The controls are intuitive--even for people used to the Dreamcast--especially inthe area of on-the-fly play calling. The controls let you quickly and fluidlybox out your opponent, spin, shoot, pass, fake, and dunk.

There are also eight street-ball courts, and this addition makes for an almostentirely new game. In this respect, it is the equal of the NBA Live series fromEA Sports. But NBA 2K2 surpasses EA's titles with its excellent AI. Thisgame is challenging, satisfying, and fun in both single and multiplayer modes.--Bob Andrews

5-0 out of 5 stars one of the best
in very simple words, if you are looking for a good game to keep you and your friends hooked for ages, pick this up. 1- its 10 bucks, 2- its probably one of the best basketball games out there. solid gameplay, solid options, solid game!

4-0 out of 5 stars Very Cool Game
I got this game for Christmas and I am still learning it but, It is very enjoyable even for an old fart like me. I like being able to select All-Star teams from the past like the 1980's Eastern conference that includes my favorite players Larry Bird and Danny Ainge.

5-0 out of 5 stars A AWSOME BBALL GAME FOR GC (A 11 YEAR OLD GAMER)
This game is much better than NBA Courtside 2002 and it is more realistic. The audiance look more real because if u are at your home court and say u make a fancy dunk the audiance will get up off of their seats and cheer for u. U can play Street Ball in it and it is very fun. I guarantee u will never get bored of this game. I almost forgot u can play as bball legends from the 50s/60s, 70s east, 70s west, 80s east, 80s west and players in present time. Last fact u can also play as western and eastern all-stars... U should all know that. Buy this game and u wont want to take it back:)

5-0 out of 5 stars The Best Bball Game on GC As of Now
NBA 2k2 beats out every other bball game on the market. Though it has minor flaws, like every game, overall it's just great. Everything is done pretty well, except the street mode.

I think this is the only thing Sega has to change for 2k2. The street mode isn't that great; it's basically a regular game with less people. The courts aren't done perfectly, and in Rucker the stands are empty.

I don't really need the street mode though. The franchise, create-a-player, and just plaing gameplay buys this game for me. And if u like good gameplay, franchise, and other features u should buy this game.

This game really deserves a 4.5 but u can't put that in, so I rounded it up to 5.

5-0 out of 5 stars THE BEST NBA GAME TILL 2K3
I just got GameCube and my first game was NBA 2K2.The graphics are hot.The game is updated. The only problem is where is Chaney(NYK coach). They still have JVG. GO KINGS. ... Read more

Like Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 2, Tony Hawk 3 captures the look and feel of the big-console versions but transforms the concept into a third-person, mock 3-D game. This new incarnation keeps the original control scheme but brings in alternate career goals, new tricks (including the revert), and changing environments--they even include pedestrians--across seven global locations. Unlike the last game, however, this version allows players to link up for such multiplayer games as Trick Attack, Graffiti, HORSE, and Tag (one copy of the game per GBA unit and link cable is required). The roster of skaters features Tony Hawk, Elissa Steamer, Jamie Thomas, Rodney Mullen, Eric Koston, Chad Muska, Kareem Campbell, Steve Caballero, Andrew Reynolds, Rune Glifberg, Geoff Rowley, Bam Margera, and Bucky Lasek. ... 5-0 out of 5 stars Excellent game!
In the best skating game on the gba, Ride as 13 top skateboarders, including Tony Hawk, as you pull off tons of tricks & combos in obstacle-filled environments. There are many different tricks so this isn't an easy game to master.
You can play in career mode, where you choose a character to do a certain amount of goals to beat the player's career, such as collecting the letters "S-K-A-T-E" scattered in each course. Once you complete a player's career, then try to complete all the goals to unlock another career slightly harder then the first one. Try to beat both careers on each player to unlock another course.
You can also play in free skate, which is just practicing. You can also play the tutorial where it teaches you the basic tricks.
You can also play 2 player mode, where you and a friend will link up and compete in several different events such as who can get the highest score.
The graphics and gameplay are great, and this game is tons of fun and filled with easy and challenging goals.

4-0 out of 5 stars Trade?
this is a good game but you should borrow or rent it until you are should
but i will trade

5-0 out of 5 stars Go Tony Hawk!
Okay, I'm going to try to explain this as calmly as possible. BUY THIS GAME!!!!!!!!! The levels are fun, the goals are challenging, but not impossible,(just the way I like em'!)the controls are easy to get used to,and the replay value is insane! I have at least 20 GBA games, but this is the topper! The only problem I have is the graphics. They're Not exactly great.

Gameplay: 5/5. There are 6 main levels of gameplay. Four are just goals, two are contests. There is one goal that confused me, in the suburbia level. WARNING: SPOILERS AHEAD! It Was the find the secretTape. To do this, I thought that you had to get on top of the thin man's house. But you have to grind the house northeast of it. To do this, go into the northwest pool. Jump out of the North side, then grind the long red rail eastward. Jump constantly, or you'll lose your balance. Keep doing that. After a few seconds, you'll be grinding ona shed. Jump off it, grind the fence, and you'll have the secret tape! This next one had a much simpler Solution. Get a score of 300,000 in the LA level. To do this, simply grind the four trees near the beginning. You'll have the score in no time! Well, anyway, the gameplay is by far the best in any GBA game!

Replay Value: 5/5I've had this for almost a year, and I still play it nonstop! I'm not the least bit tired of it!

Controls: 5/5 When I first got this game, the controls were VERY difficult to get used to. It'll take some practice. But once you have it down pat, You'll agree that they are very comfortable.

Graphics: 2/5 Not much to say. They're horrible. I'll just leave it at that.

Like I said before, BUY THIS GAME! Despite the horrendus(I hope I spelled that right)graphics, you'll be in for endless hours of fun!

4-0 out of 5 stars Just like the PS version, only smaller
Over the past three years, Activision's Tony Hawk franchise has consistently proven to be one of the best action sports series on every platform it has appeared on, which currently tallies up to eight, and each sequel has been different enough and fun enough to keep bringing players back for more. Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 3 is no exception and is probably the only Game Boy Advance game to truly usurp Tony Hawk 2. Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 3 plays just how you'd expect Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 3 to play, albeit from an isometric perspective. In the single-player mode, you'll skate around different locations, completing various objectives to progress to the next level. You're given a choice of 13 real-life pro skaters, and there is also a create-a-skater option, which lets you alter the skin tone, shirt, pants, shoes, and tattoos of your skater. The objectives you'll have to complete include three different score objectives, as well as collect letters to spell the word "skate," find a hidden tape, and meet a slew of level-specific goals that range from delivering airline tickets to a family in the Airport level to grinding specific rails in the LA level, which triggers an earthquake and changes the terrain of the level. There's actually a fair amount of level interaction like this in Tony Hawk 3, though it isn't quite as deep as that found in the console versions of Tony Hawk 3. What it does offer makes the gameplay experience a bit more enjoyable. Out of the six levels in the game, two of them are competition levels, in which the objective is to score as many points as you can with as few bails as possible in the allotted time limit. The gameplay is essentially identical to that of Tony Hawk 2 for the GBA, though there have been a few noteworthy changes. The default control configuration assigns nollies and flip tricks to the left shoulder button, grinds to the A button, jumps to the B button, and grab tricks and the revert to the right shoulder button, but it can be customized to your liking. Yes, Tony Hawk 3 features the revert, a handy maneuver used to integrate vert tricks into the middle of combos. Unlike Tony Hawk 2 for the GBA, Tony Hawk 3 has four different multiplayer modes. Horse, the game in which each player attempts to match the previous player's trick, can be played with up to four players using a single GBA. The three link cable modes are trick attack, tag, and king of the hill. Trick attack is a simple score-based competition, while tag and king of the hill are essentially reversed versions of the same game, in which players either try to stay away from the skater who's "it" or take the crown away from the skater who's the "king." Multiplayer games have always been a staple of the Tony Hawk franchise, and the modes included here are just as fun and playable as in any other incarnations of Tony Hawk.
Tony Hawk 2 still stands as one of the sharpest-looking games for the GBA, and Tony Hawk 3 improves upon it. The game is viewed from an isometric perspective, giving you a wide overview of the level around you. The skaters are 3D polygonal models that are expertly animated and represent their console counterparts beautifully. And while the skater models in Tony Hawk 2 were textured with flat colors, in Tony Hawk 3, they have simple but effective textures that bring them just a bit closer to replicating the real thing. The levels also look great, though the isometric perspective can still sometimes be cumbersome. Vicarious Visions has smoothed out the formula a bit since Tony Hawk 2, so the view doesn't create quite as many frustrating moments. Vicarious Visions has also done a great job of re-creating the sounds of Tony Hawk on the Game Boy Advance. All the skate sounds, from your trucks grinding a rail to the roll of your wheels over concrete, have been sampled directly from the console versions, and all the effects sound sharp. The game features a soundtrack of digital renditions of numerous songs from the Tony Hawk 3 soundtrack, though the selections are almost entirely guitar-based songs, making the soundtrack slightly less appealing if you don't like rock. The tracks are surprisingly true to the source material, but some get a bit muddled in the translation. With the great impression that Tony Hawk 2 for the GBA made on many gamers, Vicarious Visions could have easily just thrown the Tony Hawk 3 levels into the same exact game and still have a quality title. Instead, it went the extra mile and included an improved trick system, improved graphics, multiplayer support, and a create-a-skater mode, creating an exceptional game and maintaining the Tony Hawk tradition of perpetually creating better games. Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 2 used to be the must-own action sports game for the Game Boy Advance. Meet the new titleholder.

Resident Evil: Gaiden features well-known characters Barry Burton and Leon Kennedy in a game that combines the survival-horror and first-person-shooter genres. It includes three playable characters: Barry Burton, Leon Kennedy, and the new character, Lucia. Dramatic slide-show animations provide background. The challenging gameplay includes such actions as finding keys, putting out fires, and switching on power generators. It also features all of the mind-bending puzzles that players have come to expect from the Resident Evil series. As players explore, they view their character and surroundings in 3-D isometric view. When battles take place, the action shifts to first-person mode. With strong graphics and a detailed story line, Resident Evil: Gaiden offers an unusually deep experience for the portable console.

The story begins inside the hideout of the legendary S.T.A.R.S. elite attack force as one of the original members, Barry Burton, discusses a distressing problem with a mysterious elderly woman. A new type of B.O.W. (Bio Organic Weapon) has been developed by the insidious Umbrella Corporation and is believed to be onboard the luxury cruise liner Starlight. Starlight has already begun its voyage to Europe and now rests somewhere in the middle of the Atlantic. Leon S. Kennedy, the star of Resident Evil 2, was assigned to eliminate the B.O.W. His last communication confirmed that he was aboard the Starlight, but he hasn't been heard from since. In addition, Barry can't figure out why a poem he learned as a child suddenly has returned to him: "I loathe the ocean and the secrets it holds, forever deep, dark, and cold." 2-0 out of 5 stars NnyCW for Capcom City
Probably the most unknown Resident Evil game of them all, solely for it appearing on the GBC. The game plays like a 3rd person adventure, then when in combat with a zombie or creature, switches to a first person view where you your shots to choose where to shoot them. Overall, for a Resident Evil game, it isn't the best. But for a Game Boy Color game, this is one of the best. So, if for some reason you've never played a handheld more advanced than the original Game Boy or the Game Boy Color or if you're a diehard Resident Evil fan, you'll enjoy it. Otherwise, you could probably find a better way to spend your money. NnyCW for CapCity

1-0 out of 5 stars Resident Evil Gaiden
This is the worst resident evil game. The character used was... wow... undescribeable (in a bad way.) The game is not really good, it's super boring.

2-0 out of 5 stars You sould not buy this.
Gameboy was not a good choice for a Revil game.

2-0 out of 5 stars GBC Features A Weak Resident Evil Charpter
The game features Barry Burton from Resident Evil (and he also appears in a bit of Resident Evil 2) and Leon Scott Kennedy (Resident Evil 2 and Resident Evil 4).
The story tells that Leon S. Kennedy went to a ship called Starlight and that, somehow, he got lost... So Barry has to come to that ship to find out where Leon is and to rescue him.. He discovers that the ship is full of zombies and some B.O.W.s, because the Umbrella Corp. put their dirty hands on that ship.. Barry also finds a survivor, who is named Lucia. And she'll help him to find Leon and whoever else is there...
- Graphics: I must say this was one of the few games I've played on the Game Boy Color, so I can't really compare... But, for all I've seen (not that much), the graphics are good for that plataform... They try to work with shadows and stuff... Well, they did what they could...But the character looks horrible.. Not detailed at all.. Even enemies are more detailed.
- Sound: The music isn't very good... You feel like it's the same one in the whole game.. Game Boy Color is not a powerful console for graphics nor sound... Talking about the few melodies in this game, I think they're Ok.. But can't be compared with any other Resident Evil game. You get sick of them.
- Fun: This is not a masterpiece. It's very far from it. You can beat the game once, but you're probally not going to play it again... Because it's not very scary without the soundtrack (which has always been a great point in Resident Evil games) and with bad graphics
- Educative: This is the only Teen-classified Resident Evil game... All the others are Mature-classified. The thing here has no big deal.. Some blood, violence.. You're killing zombies, anyway... You're not killing any human or any good guy.. You're killing biological weapons and zombies.. I think you parents don't have to worry about it...

After all, this game is disappointing. I only suggest you to buy it if you're a hardcore Resident Evil fan or if you're a GBC game collector. It's a great title for GBC - who has no big titles.

4-0 out of 5 stars BOO!
Horrible! I love the resident evil games, but this one sucks. When you are battling a zombie you are taken to first person shooting.I think it was a big mistake. ... Read more

Amazon.com Review

As usual High Heat Major League Baseball 2004 isn’t quite as pretty as most of the competition, but the game does have a nostalgic look that’s quite stylish--kind of like the difference between now-torn down County Stadium and the new Miller Park that replaced it in Milwaukee. A major area of improvement is in player animation. The players aren’t stiff anymore; they move like human beings. A bit of graphics sheen was applied to the stadiums too, and while not the best, High Heat is finally a good looking game. Unfortunately, audio is merely okay. The problem isn’t limited to dry and dull commentary. High Heat 2004 pretty much has the same soundtrack as High Heat 2003 and, the music often does not match action on the field.

High Heat 2040 adds some 30 new pitches to the game, and the pitcher/batter interface so crucial to this game’s success (it’s the best in the business and it feels like real baseball) is still in place and looking good. High Heat plays a solid game of baseball that just feels right.

For perhaps the first time in the series (it’s been running the bases since 1999), High Heat 2004 was first developed for the PlayStation 2 and then ported elsewhere. That doesn’t make much of a difference for most console versions but buyers of the PC version will be disappointed. The port is sloppy. There’s no mouse support and significant blurring at high resolutions (the menus don’t scale). PC users are used to accessing all the stats, info, batting orders, etc., at the touch of the mouse. I can’t imagine why this happened, because previous High Heat PC games have had mouse support. The PC version also is plagued with minor stability issues and, worst of all does not have any kind of multiplayer. High Heat games have had multiplayer since 2001, and the omission of multiplayer in 2004 is a tragedy.

High Heat 2004 for the console systems is a great game, certainly the best looking one yet in the series, but the PC version is much weaker than it should be.--Andrew S. Bub

Pros:

  • Good looks, great gameplay
  • Best pitcher/batter duel available in a baseball game
Cons:
  • Bad commentary
  • PC version inexcusably marred by bugs, no mouse, no multiplayer

4-0 out of 5 stars Do you notice, the bad reviews here are repeated?
It looks like so many people are trashing this game here. However, upon closer inspection, it looks like a couple of people repeat posting. Why did they do that? To make a perfectly good game look like garbage? 3DO did not run a franchise into the ground! While offering up very little new to the 2003 season, this program still has more defined and easier controls. Graphics that are much nicer to look at. And an interface that is streamlined. Better team picks and organization. Really cool sky effects. And, i have yet to find a game stopping glitch (as i did in 2002). So, overall, a lot of fun. Well worth the purchase.

3-0 out of 5 stars So So
I loved HH 2003. I played it for hours. I wanted new rosters, so I purchased HH 2004. Immediately, the gameplay felt awkward. I tried playing a few more games, but the entire game seemed so awkward compared to HH 2003. I guess the graphics look a little better in 2004, for example there seems to be more transparency etc... If you like HH baseball, and you don't care about the rosters, keep using HH 2003.

3-0 out of 5 stars Trying not to be harsh....butttt.....
Well here it is the Newest version of the High Heat series 2004.If I say I liked it better than the previous year I would be lying.I don't mind that the mouse isn't included...but everything has changed and it can be a maze to someone without a gamepad. The graphics are alright...but I think the movement is much more limited. In short...the 2003 edition is cheaper and much more efficient because the game setup is much less tedious.I recommend the 2004 edition if you are used to playing playstation 2 games and a gamepad is a must have! Alrighty I hope this is helpful..I am sorry to the High Heat folks but I believe the 2003 edition is much better.

1-0 out of 5 stars Absolutely terrible
I had heard nothing but great things about the High Heat series and though I read that the interface was poor, I thought it wouldn't matter since I had never played before.Well, I was wrong.I played probably 4 games and gave up.This game is absolutely terrible and if 3DO doesn't fix things for next year, they're going to be in a mess of trouble. This is just sad.

3-0 out of 5 stars Not The Best I Have Seen
When I tried High Heat Baseball 2004, it did not have very good stuff. The faces were unrealistic, commentary was bad, and the picture quality was bad. When I tried it with Windows XP, it was perfect. Faces were real, commentary was good, and picture quality was good. The bad things are that is there is no mouse support, no multiplayer mode, and if you accidentally go back to the team select screen after you set the roster or if you decide to play with the same two teams again, the rosters don't get saved. You do have more than 11 different game modes to choose from. I don't recommend this game for Windows 98 users. It's best used with Windows XP. ... Read more
