Amazon.com Review The new version expands on the first Game Boy version, providing abigger world in which to tend your farm. There are also more tasks to doin a given day, such as planting this and milking that, and all of itmust be done at a frantic pace if everything is to be completed. Thepace of the game is what really makes it addicting, but players can alsotake the day off and play minigames, which are fun as well. The one thing this game lacks is the dating and marriage aspect of theconsole games. This was one of the cutest features of the series, butthere still seems to be enough to warrant a play-through. --RobbGuido Pros: Reviews (37)
The game starts off with the mayor of a small town being told that a historic farm will be turned into an amusement park. The mayor takes it upon himself to hire someone to fix up the farm, and make enough profit to save it. That's where you come in. You grow fruits and veggies (every season you get new ones), raise animals once you have enough feed/money, and you can fish and gather berries. Every so often new garden tools, extenions to your farm, or plants are available. But, you only have three years to raise enough money to save the farm. Harvest Moon 2 is really, really fun, but there's a tick (it might just be in my game though, but I'm not sure) - you can't ever buy chickens. They're cheap, and a major source of money, but every time I go to buy them, the shop owner says I don't have enough feed. (I have the max. capacity of food stored in the silo.) Overall grade - A

Amazon.com Review The plot is simple enough. Barbie and her little friend Stacie must searchthrough Green Arbor Park for various cute and mostly furry animals to rescue. Each successive rescue presents a more challenging puzzle, and a special prizeawaits those gamers who manage to rescue all 14 animals (we won't spoil thingsand reveal it here). This game isn't just about helping Barbie and Stacie do their jobs, however. These animals need to be fed and played with, too. Some of them must be nursedback to health. And little gamers will likely delight in doing all this becauseBarbie's charges include bunnies, kittens, puppies, and more cute critters. Eventhough the graphics are typically sparse--notably simpler than the old CD-ROMversion--Barbie: Pet Rescue's combination of Pokémon-stylenurturing and the wholesome pinkness of Barbie herself makes it a great, ifoverly simple, game for ages 5 and slightly up. --Andrew S. Amazon.com Review Based on the Cartoon Network series, this title spotlights Blossom, thepink-clad leader of the Powerpuff Girls. The dilemma facing the girls at the start ofthe game is that Mojo Jojo has kidnapped the girls' mentor, Professor Utonium.Blossom must battle Bratty Little Princess, Roach Coach, and eventually MojoJojo himself (hence the game's name) to save the brave professor. The idea behind the game is to run or fly around the professor's home and lab, collecting all the goodies that the various robbers dropped in their hastyransacking of the place. The items consist of treasure, special graphic cards ofBlossom & Co., and health power-ups. Some simple puzzle solving is required to finish this game, but that reallytakes second fiddle to honing one's exploration skills and reaction timing. Evenwithout reading the manual--and who does nowadays?--most will quickly figure outwhere they're going and what they've got to do. If this series has a singular hook, it is that all three of the girls' games canbe linked though the GBC's vastly underutilized infrared port. Whatever iscollected in one cartridge can be sent over to another. In this way, players whowork together can more quickly gather all the cool collectibles in the game andget further ahead in less time. It's too bad the makers didn't spend a littlemore time putting a game together that was stylish to look at and engaging toplay. --Todd Mowatt Pros: Reviews (15)
Gameplay stinks, too. The characters' attacks are monotonous, and the game consists entirely of exploring flat, side-scrolling locations and beating up bad guys. You're also supposed to pick up items along the way, but those are mostly pointless. I'm a diehard Powerpuff fan, but I can't recommend this game. It's too bad -- the Powerpuff Girls are among the few GBC games that would have strong appeal to young girls, and the designers disrespect them with this crummy game.

The music, i'm told, is bad on this gameboy game, but how bad could it be? After the other Micro Machines gameboy games, it couldn't be bad. I could imagine it being worse then the Micro Machines Twin Turbo music, but not enough to make it bad. (That is unless they try to make it like the other MMV3 and failed horribly, in which case it would make it seem like they didn't put a lot of work into it at all.) The graphics are good, but they could've been better if they hadn't just tried to copy the origional MMV3. And it IS 3D. It's just that some objects are too small to be shown 3D, but you can tell by the taller objects that there meant to be. But at least the different colours on the cars are positioned well, and that each character has its own colours. The biggest problem is the multiple players, for this game dosent support the game link, and 2 people have to play on the same gameboy via split controller. (The 2 on 1.) And if you really want to play using 2 gameboys you may as well both get Micro Machines 2 and play on that instead. One thing, shown in the pictures is that the pictures are quite pale. But I think that isn't the game's fault. And even if it is, you can use gameboy magnifyers and worm lights to solve it. Another thing is that sometimesyou can't see the track because of the colour of the table, but remember that gameboys are meant to be held close to your face, and in so you can see the seperate pixels. If there isn't a track in the screen then you just have to use your guiding skills and your brain. Experience on that track will barely help you get back. Like its older brothers, it isn't splitscreen. Thats one thing that sets it apart from other racing games. And some people find it annoying that when youre ahead you can't see more of the track, but I think that was done on purpose so people woudn't go ahead all the time. It just adds more of a challenge, because people like challenges, right? But all in all, even with its problems, its still a great game, especially as a gameboy collector game. I give it...5 stars! I'm thinking of buying it soon. But, of course, if I am going to buy it, i'm defently going to buy it from Amazon.com.

The computer version had great graphics, gameplay, and moderate sound. The game boy color version has poor gameplay, moderate sound, and moderate if not poor graphics. The players are a bunch of little square like images with little bumps for helmets. The controls are ok, but still this game could have had so much more depth. EA Sports spent too much time on plays and not enough time on everything else. The phisics in this game are strange, and you cant always tell where the ball is going. The player and teams don't matter much, as you can score and do pretty much everything with any player. The sound is moderate, but it is not played during the game. The opening screen and other places where the sound is played are also designed well, unlike the actual game. The tune can be a little catchy, and the sound effects arent bad. Still, the sound doesnt add up to much. The game is not very well built at all. It is very boring to play a whole season, because you cant really save in the middle of a game. The games, even when set to 5 minute quarters, lastover an hour. The gameplay is exactly the same each time, with you being either blown out or winning by over 50. It can be really boring to play a 16 game season plus playoffs when each game is the same. The game play is so boring, i couldnt get past the first game. The password part is also horrible. Why should you have to type up a 15 letter password to enter your game when other games yet you go in for free? It takes forever to write it down, remeber where you put it, and enter it in. I dont see why they cant let you save in the middle in the game. If they did that i would love the game.
game play is very nice... How ever... menu & minute select is very worst... "5" "10" "15"...-_- I want free select minute and... season save is password...-_- no good I want auto Save... and Please Gaming play save... oh my love~ MADDEN NFL2001 very good... ... Read more

Technically, the game is good too.Clear talking voices from the various Rescue Heroes is pretty neat. As a parent, I appreciate the fact that this is an action game, yet contains no violence. It is about helping people and animals.
For the benefit of those looking at this game as a possible one for their kids, let me expand on what this games offers...it is ideal for ages 4 and up. No reading required. My son is having a fantastic time playing along with the rescue missions. He's just new to gameboy. It is easy enough for him understand, but challenging and engaging enough to keep him interested and focused. I work in a store that sells gameboy games. It's too bad more people either don't know about this game or are not able to get a copy easily at this time. It's worth putting yourself on the waiting list for. There is no other game on Gameboy like this game. It's perfect for those kids who love action, but whose parents don't want them exposed to the violence of other kiddy favorites. Also worthy of note...there are rescuers of both gender in this game. ... Read more
