Editorial Review Nintendo's own Super Mario Bros. Deluxe is among the first ofthese conversions, and it certainly remains one of the best. Actually, calling this game a conversion really doesn't do it justice. Thisversion actually contains more levels than the original game, includingthe entire Japanese version and a slew of extras (such as a two-playermode). The controls in this game are easy to grasp--even for novice gamers. All Mario can do is jump (and shoot fireballs with the right power- ups), but it is amazing to see how much gameplay can be squeezed fromthese simple actions when the controls work in direct harmony with aplayer's thoughts. The only element of this game that could have beenbetter is that the Game Boy Color's screen isn't quite large enough toshow the entire layout of the original game screen, so players mayoccasionally need to press up and down on the control pad to see someoffscreen action. While this can be distracting, it ultimately hasminimal impact on gameplay. If you are looking for the quintessentialside-scrolling platform game, you can't do much better than SuperMario Bros. Deluxe. --T. Byrl Baker Pros: Reviews (159)

Amazon.com Review It must be stated that these games, while they have been improved, areessentially the same as they were earlier, with these exceptions: names ofpeople and places have been altered--which will disappoint only those who haveplayed the originals--and the graphics are more detailed than before. The differences between the two titles play almost like a history lesson inRPGs. In the first game, players travel as a single character who's set torescue a princess and slay a dragon. In the second game, players manage a partyof four heroes, each of whom has his or her own unique talents in magic orweaponry (or both). The game pits them against multiple enemies at a time, asopposed to a single foe. Also, the addition of a save-anytime feature eliminatesneedless retread. Overall, Dragon Warrior I & II is a great value, and perfect foranyone who's interested in taking a trip, whether it be cross-country or downmemory lane. --Robb Guido Pros: Reviews (33)
PROS: CONS: OVERALL:
DRAGON WARRIOR I: Even though this game was short, it was difficult for me. As i've said, i've never played Dragon Warrior before, so it was new to me. You are the descendant of the dead and legendary hero, Loto (formerly known as Erdrick back on the the original Dragon Warrior for the NES). You as one person, set out on a quest to rescue Lady Lora, daughter of King Lars XVI of Alefgard and defeat the evil Dracolord. In this game, there are several towns were there are inns, weapons and armory shops. You will of course need to equip some weapons ad armory to become more powerful. During the course of the game, you will also get the chance of equiping more powerful equipment. You are also supposed to find two things in this game, the rainstaff and the sunstone. Once you obtain the Loto Seal, go to a shrine south of the town of Rimulbar, talk to the elderly man and he will give you a rainbow drop. You then use the rainbow drop to form a bridge to get to Dracolord's castle. You must be above level 20 to defeat Dracolord's two forms, one as a human like creature, and the other as a monster. It was easy for me. This game alone, i give it 5 stars and above. DRAGON WARRIOR II:Can't say much about this game becuase i'm in the middle of it. This game is way harder than its predecessor. In this game, you the Prince of Lorasia must find the Princess of Moonbrook and the Prince of Cannock and defeat Hargon. The storyline in this game takes place 100 years after Dragon Warrior I. You get to make up a name for you the Prince of Lorasia, but the computer makes up the names for the Prince of Cannock and the Princess of Moonbrook. I can't rate this game as of yet, so you all will have to wait until i beat it. Then i will give you more info on Dragon Warrior II. Now let me bring to your attention the other Dragon Warrior games. I hear Dragon Warrior III for the GBC is the best of the entire legend of Loto series. I hope to get it for my birthday. I have never played with Dragon Warrior IV on the NES, so i don't know anything about it. What's stupid is the idea of Enix not thinking of releasing Dragon Warrior V and Dragon Warrior VI in the United States. I think Enix should release both of them for either the GBA,GCN, and the Playstation 2. That's crazy. Also they should re-release Dragon Warrior IV for the advance. I could tell from these reviews that sales for the previous Dragon Warrior games were successful SO I HOPE ENIX RE-RELEASES DRAGON WARRIOR IV FOR THE GBA. Also, Enix should re-release Dragon Warrior VII for the GCN. Right now, the GCN doesn't have that many good games and not that many RPG's, so the GCN does need a Dragon Warrior game. One final thing. I hear SquareEnix (Square, the company that makes Final Fantasy and Enix have now merged into SquareEnix) i going to release Dragon Warrior VIII for the Playstation 2 sometime in 2004. I HOPE THEY ALSO RELEASE IT FOR THE GCN.Thank you for your attention and so long.
"Dragon Warrior I" is the story about a lone warrior whom must save a kidnapped Princess from a gang of monsters. "Dragon Warrior II" on the other hand tells about a group of heros and their quest to stop a different kind of foe.(I'm not too sure about this one quite yet.) The first is probably the most TOUGHEST of all, while the rest in the series is a bit easier. "Dragon Warrior III" is the best remake of them all yet! But even the old Nes version of "Dragon Warrior IV" is pretty good. "Dragon Warrior: Monsters" is a bit kiddy' like, but still a nice addition. Kinda' reminds me of Pokemon only better!! Here's a small rating for each one: DRAGON WARRIOR I ****(4-stars. Fun gameplay and the option to go anywhere you choose is a good challenge.) DRAGON WARRIOR II *****(5-stars. Better than the original since you get four characters altogether to help. Not too familiar with the story yet). DRAGON WARRIOR III *****(5-stars. A very, VERY cool opening sequence for this one. Especially at the battle against the Dragon. The option to choose characters is awesome! Better than I and II!! DRAGON WARRIOR IV ***(3-stars. Fair gameplay but the movement is VERY poor. It's a cool change that you play as different people in different stories. Battle system can use some improvement though.) DRAGON WARRIOR V ***(3-stars. It's alright, but the graphics went a bit downhill here. Much different than the others in the series but good.). DRAGON WARRIOR VI ****(4-stars. Improved graphics and a worthy sequel. The characters are much, MUCH better than those from part 5.). DRAGON WARRIOR VII (N/A I haven't played this one yet.) OVERALL: An excellent series altogether!!!

Amazon.com Product Description The story begins inside the hideout of the legendary S.T.A.R.S. elite attack force as one of the original members, Barry Burton, discusses a distressing problem with a mysterious elderly woman. A new type of B.O.W. (Bio Organic Weapon) has been developed by the insidious Umbrella Corporation and is believed to be onboard the luxury cruise liner Starlight. Starlight has already begun its voyage to Europe and now rests somewhere in the middle of the Atlantic. Leon S. Kennedy, the star of Resident Evil 2, was assigned to eliminate the B.O.W. His last communication confirmed that he was aboard the Starlight, but he hasn't been heard from since. In addition, Barry can't figure out why a poem he learned as a child suddenly has returned to him: "I loathe the ocean and the secrets it holds, forever deep, dark, and cold." Have the horrors of Raccoon City returned? Reviews (15)
After all, this game is disappointing. I only suggest you to buy it if you're a hardcore Resident Evil fan or if you're a GBC game collector. It's a great title for GBC - who has no big titles.

Amazon.com Review Based on the Cartoon Network series, this title spotlights Blossom, thepink-clad leader of the Powerpuff Girls. The dilemma facing the girls at the start ofthe game is that Mojo Jojo has kidnapped the girls' mentor, Professor Utonium.Blossom must battle Bratty Little Princess, Roach Coach, and eventually MojoJojo himself (hence the game's name) to save the brave professor. The idea behind the game is to run or fly around the professor's home and lab, collecting all the goodies that the various robbers dropped in their hastyransacking of the place. The items consist of treasure, special graphic cards ofBlossom & Co., and health power-ups. Some simple puzzle solving is required to finish this game, but that reallytakes second fiddle to honing one's exploration skills and reaction timing. Evenwithout reading the manual--and who does nowadays?--most will quickly figure outwhere they're going and what they've got to do. If this series has a singular hook, it is that all three of the girls' games canbe linked though the GBC's vastly underutilized infrared port. Whatever iscollected in one cartridge can be sent over to another. In this way, players whowork together can more quickly gather all the cool collectibles in the game andget further ahead in less time. It's too bad the makers didn't spend a littlemore time putting a game together that was stylish to look at and engaging toplay. --Todd Mowatt Pros: Reviews (15)
Gameplay stinks, too. The characters' attacks are monotonous, and the game consists entirely of exploring flat, side-scrolling locations and beating up bad guys. You're also supposed to pick up items along the way, but those are mostly pointless. I'm a diehard Powerpuff fan, but I can't recommend this game. It's too bad -- the Powerpuff Girls are among the few GBC games that would have strong appeal to young girls, and the designers disrespect them with this crummy game.

Editorial Review All of the gameplay elements found in the original Pac-Man arepresent here. Eat the dots. Avoid the ghosts. Grab a power pellet.Gobble those ghosts! Still, Ms. Pac-Man added many new twiststo the Pac-Man series--and they are all faithfully re-createdhere. There are multiple mazes to conquer and several new fruit prizesto consume. As always, you can use warp tunnels to quickly pass fromone side of the maze to the other, and view cut-scenes once certainlevels are bypassed. The controls are extremely responsive, lettingyou ditch those pesky ghosts with ease. As if Ms. Pac-Man wasn't enough, Namco also threw in a copy ofSuper Pac-Man, which adds even more features to the gameplay. Both versions can be played from either a zoomed-out perspective thatdisplays the entire maze, or a zoomed-in view that has much bettergraphics but displays only about a quarter of the maze at a time. Thisis a good translation of a revered classic that is likely to spendmuch time in your Game Boy Color. --T. Byrl Baker Pros: Reviews (15)
THE GOOD: THE BAD: OVERALL:
Along with the Ms. Pacman game I have just described, there is also Super Pacman, a great added bonus! Super Pacman comes with Ms. Pacman, but it is a completely different game that involves using keys to unlock Pac Dots. Sadly, it is also very repetitive and the high scores still don't save! But overall, Ms. Pacman for Gameboy Color is an awsome game that can add hours of entertainment to a boring car ride, and it definitly deserves to be bought!
