4-0 out of 5 stars Cute
It's not the best game ever, yet it's not the worst, and it's extremely cute. I love designing your cat's color, and the room they play in. Most of the time it is fun, but after a while, a few hours perhaps, you might get bored. I believe it is a great game otherwise, packed with love! Turn your GB on, and voila! A cat lover's dream come true!

5-0 out of 5 stars catz
this game is sooo cool, you have 3 cats to start with. but u earn pps (pet points)and get 2 or 3 more breeds.

5-0 out of 5 stars is it cute?
i don't have catz, but i'm getting it soon!!! It sounds really fun. Fortunately, i'm not the person to like fighting action-packed GB games. i love animals more than anything, and i can probably make my dream cat with this!!!!The only bummer is there are only 3 different cats to choose from. I can't wait to get this, though, and i'm going to write a review when i have it, (in a few days), and share my thoughts when i have the actual game!!!!!

5-0 out of 5 stars Catz
An amazing game! There is also Dogz wich is for Gameboy color, too, but its not as good as Catz *hehe* Catz is the best game ever created, and so is Dogz! There are also Catz and Dogz for Computer! Install both and what are you left with? PETZ!!! There are 5 series so far on the Petz games!

5-0 out of 5 stars Love It!!!!!
This game is awesome! I like playing with my cat and making it love me. I play it every day There is only one bad part, you can only adopt three kinds of cats. ... Read more

Editorial Review

Vegas Games offers many of the most popular casinogames--craps, video poker, slots, blackjack, keno, baccarat, and the moneywheel--but that doesn't necessarily mean that it makes any of thesegames are fun to play.

A more appropriate title for this game might simply be Games, since we associate Vegas with excitement and fanfare (both of which arelacking in this title). It's nearly impossible to tell if you've won atany of the games contained within this bargain pack. Unfortunately,Vegas Games offers no feedback on your victory. No messages. Noflashing lights. Nada. The game doesn't even have sound effects, whichwould have been infinitely preferable to the grating music that plays asyou gamble.

Stats are tracked so you can tell how much you've won or lost at thevarious games, but all records of your victories and defeats are wipedout when the Game Boy is turned off. Video poker is about the only gamethat is fun to play in this collection, but sadly that isn't enough tocarry the game as a whole. --T. Byrl Baker

2-0 out of 5 stars Disappointing
This cartridge has a good selection of games but I was disappointed overall. The box says there are sound effects, but actually there are none, only some annoying music (which you can turn off). When you saveyour game, it only seems to remember your balance, not your name or thefact that you have turned off the music.Maybe I'm doing something wrong, but the instruction manual offered no help.I found the blackjack game tobe difficult to follow since the game doesn't tell you whether you won orlost the hand, it only tells you when you bust or tie the dealer. You haveto actually watch your money balance to see the result.I also found thecontrols to be confusing and I have found a couple bugs as well.Iwouldn't recommend this to a friend.

4-0 out of 5 stars Great game for big kids!
Very well implemented games -- slots, roulette, craps, and more. The video poker is as addictive as the real thing. The only minor drawbacks are a few programming bugs (some slots do not seem to score properly, and video pokersometimes misses scoring full houses). Some sound FX would have been nice, instead of the strange music soundtrack (which can be turned off, thankfully). In summary, great entertainment, especially for adults! ... Read more

5-0 out of 5 stars Cool Star Wars game!
The original NES game Star Wars: The Empire Strikes back is an excellent title in the classic 8-bit Nintendo library. The graphics and sound were very good for that time and the game handled well. In all it was a great game! This Gameboy version is an exact port of that title! This is a very hard to find title for a reason, it satisfied Star Wars fans. If you enjoy a GOOD SW game and have any Gameboy system or a Gameboy player for the Game Cube, you'll not be disappointed in playing this game. You'll get to play as Luke Skywalker and ride Taun-tauns, fly Snowspeeders and X-wings, fight Darth Vader with a lightsaber, and if I remember correctly also fight Boba Fett. If you like playing classic Star Wars you might also find it worth your while getting a SNES and playing the trilogy of games on that system.

2-0 out of 5 stars The movie is better
THe game is awful.bad graphics, can't save your game.Don't waste your money!!Buy something for PS2!!

5-0 out of 5 stars This Is Great
This is The Oldest video game I have, and it's my favorite! Grab This Game Now!

4-0 out of 5 stars THE EMPIRE STRIKES BACK ---NES REVIEW
When I still had my Nintendo, this was one of the best games I had. The graphics--for the time--were excellent. Playing as Luke, you could ride your Tauntaun, fly in a snowspeeder or X-Wing, fight with Darth Vader, and so forth. Unlike the SNES version, there aren't that many enemies, but the few they do have can be challenging. The large Wampas take a LONG time to kill off. Just about every action scene--involving Luke--from the movie can be re-enacted in the game. My favorite part was when I had to fight the AT-AT walkers. You start off with your snowspeeder and five or so harpoons. Typically what happens is that one uses the harpoons on the first few ATAT's, then they have to take on the rest with just their lasers--again, very LONG and tedious. Usually you'll get shot down at some point, which is where the most interesting part comes in--you can fight the ATAT's on FOOT! You blast through the stormtroopers and jump into the background. It then shows you going up the rope connected to the ATAT's belly, where you toss your grenade and blow them up. There are opportunities to jump into other snowspeeders, as well. There is no on-screen time limit, but if the ATAT's get to a certain point, they blow up the generator--like in the movie. If nothing else, play this game just to fight the ATAT's--it's a classic video game moment. This is also probably the first NES game to use realistic voice. After receiving a power-up, Yoda will say "Use the Force." You won't believe your ears. Some of the parts in this game are downright scary--I remember JUMPING one time when a motionless spider crashed down on me. The only reason why I hesitate from giving this game 5 stars is because there is no save or password option. It must be beaten in one sitting. You can overcome that obstacle by playing it on emulator, however. Of all the Star Wars games on the NES and SNES, this one is by far the best.

5-0 out of 5 stars I think the kid that said tarzan is bad was forced to say it
My brother Has tarzan: Return to the Jungle and its sooooo cool!!! we are at the last level where you have to rescue dino eggs is cool. But I keep getting squished by the T-Rex. This one must Rock!!!

4-0 out of 5 stars good, but very challenging
I am sure that the programers worked hard to make this game a good one,but it is just too hard. The graphix are good, but I,for the three years I have had this game,I have not beat it,my brother, who is a very experienced gamer, has not beat it either. I am sure that there are many others who agree with this review. I hope this helped you!

5-0 out of 5 stars good but difficult
I like the Tarzan game because it gives quite a challenge and has good graphics. I think this game has the best graphics I've seen for GameBoy. Sometimes the difficulty exasperates me though because I just can't get past Sabor and when I'm game over I have to go back four levels to get to the Sabor level again. The game should have a password for each level so the player wouldn't have to play and beat so many levels again and again. But it is still a lot of fun and a game that I enjoy playing and I recommend it to other gamers.

1-0 out of 5 stars Tarzan, the worst game in the history of Gameboy
This game is so incredibly bad. You can't even save your game, you have to enter in a password (of which you might forget). There are no bonus games, except for the "Paint N' Print" and "Hide and seek". The bosses are too hard to beat, and you have to beat four stages before you get a password to the next level. Don't listen to other people who tell you that Tarzan is a good game, but most importantly don't waste your money on this game, it is an awful way to throw away $30. I reccommend the new release KIRBY TILT N'TUMBLE or any mario/wario game. I am definetly returning this game.

1-0 out of 5 stars terrible
I purchased this game used.It seemed cool, as the Nintendo64 version was good. When I started to play it, it was entaertaining... for a while, until the repetitive gameplay started to kick in.The annoying parts were the jumps and unfair opposing damage.I played it for ten minutes and then my game froze. It wasn't my Game Boy Color, it was probably just that it was used. That made me kind of mad, as I had [aid an unreasonable price for the game.I played on, hoping it wouldn't freeze again.I got to level two, the haunted mansion level, but I couldnt complete it!There was absolutly no way to jump up onto the ledge to go further into the level.I immidiatly returned the game with no regrets.

5-0 out of 5 stars One of the best games I played!
I got this game for christmas and I really like it. The game has
many different enemies and items. The game also has excellent graphics and control. The media dimension( the place where you choose the level you want to complete)is really big and interesting. The only problem with this game is that the levels
have a lack of variety, but I still give this game 5 stars. If
you are a exploring and puzzle freak this is the game for you.

3-0 out of 5 stars Almost a bad game, Almost a good game
I thought that this game had no plot whatsoever. But it is pretty challenging. The graphics are pretty good and Gex is a neat geco, but I think that the plot is one of the most important parts of the game. The enemies aren't too hard too kill but the codes to get to more levels are too complex and hard to record. The point of codes is so that someone who gets to a level can go back, but someone who hasn't been there can't--in this game you can't no matter what because the codes are very difficult to get right. Also, the whole point of the game is to get all of the TV screens, how stupid is that? But there are plenty of levels, and it is pretty hard, the graphics are pretty good, thats why I gave it a triple-star, but I thought that it had the one of the worst plots that I've seen in a game, but you might like it.

2-0 out of 5 stars Not fun
This game is not fun at all.Trying to jump and/or move from level to level is so frustrating that I put the game away and refuse to play it!Graphically, it is cute, but because controlling Gex is extremelydifficult, I cannot recommend this game.Maybe it is better onPlayStation.

4-0 out of 5 stars Okay
I got this game at Toys R Us and its pretty good. The only porblem is that it's hard to get from level to level. ... Read more

5-0 out of 5 stars Even grownups can play and win sometimes
It was a very good idea to borrow the hanna barbera characters to a racing videogame. Each competitor has its own "personality". The game is somewhat easy to play, and is a hit with the younger. It is darn fun to bomb, fire or freeze the car running ahead. Older teens will possibly enjoy more realistic racing games, but for those 6 to 12 years old I can't think of a better racing game.

5-0 out of 5 stars Let the races begin!
This is a game that will appeal to kids, racing fans and to the twentysomethings (like me) that grew up with the show. Keep in mind though, it's a straightforward racing game. There's no finding hidden items or shortcuts. You just hit the gas as soon as the light turns green and try to blow up anyone who's in your way.The action is fast and you have to pick up items to "cheat" your way though the race. If you remember the show you know they all did it, even the good guys! You get to use speed boosts, rockets and shields as well as other items PLUS have to avoid oil slicks and the like. It gets pretty intense. The graphics are sharp and crisp setting a new standard for the GBC.I was really impressed. The sound however gets a bit too repetive and I think they really needed to include Mutley's trademarked laugh. It's the ONE real flaw I see with this game. Most of the characters from the show are present and even if you don't remember them all they're each fun to play. Pick up this game if you want non-stop straight forward racing at it's finest!

4-0 out of 5 stars Wacky Races-Mario Kart on the GO!
If you've ever played Mario Kart for the N64 or Super Nintendo, you've played Wacky Races.Although there are no battle stages in Wacky Races, there still are plenty of power-ups and different abilities for each car. This game is great for all you Mario Kart fans, because you can just pack up this game and go on the road with it.Unlike many Game Boy Color racing games, this is from a 1st person perspective, not an overhead one like in Star Wars Episode 1 Racer for Game Boy Color. The power-ups include ice rockets, fire rockets, lightning bolts, speed boosters, etc.The tracks are varied with jumps and set in different places across the US like Alaska and Hawaii! The only downside is that there's no battery-packed save, and it's a pain having to remember the password.I just wrote it on the back of the game pack, but I still have to type it in every time. This game is still worth the [money], and you'll be glad you bought it!!!

3-0 out of 5 stars About Wacky Races.
Wacky Races gets a bit boring after a while.2racers are missing, they are Professer Pat Pending and a farmer with his pet bear in a tractor like car. There should be some shortcuts and more traps, but overall the game is okay.

5-0 out of 5 stars Let the Races begin!
This is a game that will appeal to kids and to the twentysomethings (like me) that grew up with the show. It's a straightforward racing game.Morelike Beetle Adventure Racing (for the N64) than Diddy Kong racing.Theaction is fast and you have to pick up items to "cheat" your waythough the race.If you remember the show you know they all did it, eventhe good guys! You get to use speed boosts, rockets and shields as well asother items PLUS have to avoid oil slicks and the like. The graphics arereally geourous on the GBC.The sound however get's a bit too repetive andI think they really needed to include Mutley trademarked laugh. It's theONE real flaw I see with this game. Most of the characters from the showare present and even if you don't remember them all they're each fun toplay.Pick up this game if you want non-stop straight forward racing atit's finest! ... 3-0 out of 5 stars Hard and Good Game
I have played this game since it came out. But I can't get past the level/stage of 10-3. Has anyone out there beat that level? If so e-mail me the password for whatever stage is next and hurry. I'm frusterated. E-mail me at geoffg88@onwisconsin.com. Thanks.

Rated: T for Teen for violence.

4-0 out of 5 stars Like Any Other Fun Puzzle Game
This game is a really good game.I bet that any of you would have many hours of fun playing this game and trying to figure out it's puzzles. It is like any other game that has puzzles in it.The graphics(like the first kid said; and I agree with him) are kind of shoddy[not great], but it is still very fun. It's kind of easy at first, but it gets harder.I'm still in the middle of the game, because it gets so hard. You get to play as Rick O'Connell, Evelyn Carnahan, her brother Jonathan, and maybe Ardeth Bay.And yes, Imhotep goes through his 4 stages, and gets harder each time.If you've seen the movie "The Mummy", you'll know what level(s) come next.I'm going to give you an insiders tip:there are over 46 levels, and they each go by chapters(I don't exactly know why, but that's how it is).So start writing those codes!I highly recomend this game for others. But they gave it a teen rating;there is doubtfully any blood and all that other stuff.Don't listen to the rating!!

4-0 out of 5 stars Excellent fun, shoddy graphics
This game is very fun to play, withenemies and puzzles apenty. The characters from the movie are all here, along with some levels set in settings from the movie.(Note to parents- I personally think the ESRB went a little overboard while rating this game. They put a Teen rating on it, while there is a minimal amount of violence in it, and the enemies, once dead dissappear in a haze of blurriness, so it is not very graphic at all.)The only draw back of this game is that the graphics are very plain. The people are comprised of individual squares, but don't let this scare you away from a unique portable video gaming experience. ... Spidey is back on the Game Boy in Activision's sequel, featuring the dastardliest team of Spider foes imaginable. The fiendishDoctor Octopus orders his Sinister Six (Sandman, Mysterio, Kraven theHunter, the Vulture, and Scorpion) supervillain team to kidnap PeterParker in an effort to lure Spidey to his rescue (Parker is, of course,Spider-Man, but they don't know that). Instead they find and snatch hisvenerable Aunt May, and soon Spider-Man is hot on their trail.

Like the previousSpider-Man GameBoy title, Spider-Man 2: The Sinister Six takes place on atwo-dimensional series of battlefields. Spidey can wall-crawl, stick toceilings, punch, kick, and jump, and shoot webs. He can also web-swingfrom platform to platform. They've given him a few new moves that lethim do leaping attacks, and a power-up that makes him invulnerable. Theaction begins on the docks and moves to other locations, such as awarehouse and office building. A supervillain boss defends each stage;figuring out how to defeat his cronies will keep you on your toes.

The gameplay is simple, but Spidey has a nice array of powers that keepthe combat and movement interesting. The game features 18 levels andcountless thugs to beat up. Cool comic-book-style cutscenes bookendeach level nicely.

Fans of the webhead will be delighted to face off against so many ofthe wall crawler's cooler rogues gallery in a single game. Plus, thecolorful yet minimalist graphics don't disappoint, as Spidey is drawnlarger this time around and moves quite easily. But the game's bestselling point is the creativity found in the simple yetfun-to-swing-around-in level design. --Andrew S. Bub

Pros:

  • Faithful to the hero and the comics
  • A good variety of boss villains
  • Excellent level design

5-0 out of 5 stars SPIDER-MAN RULES!!!!!
I really loved the other spider-man games and I bet this one is just as good!!!

3-0 out of 5 stars It's good
Crawl, punch, and swing your way to the top in the newest superhero
rumble Spiderman2: The Sinister Six for GBC. As Spidey, you are called upon to save a kidnapped auntie M (aunt May for those of you who aren't familiar) from the many-tentacled clucthes of Doc Ock. All of Spidey's powers are yours to use, including the ability to cling to walls, super strength, speed, and web-slinging and more. Spiderman 2 contains game play similar to its PS1 cousin, with suberb graphics and sound rounding out and impressive title.

5-0 out of 5 stars A RARE CLASSIC
this is without a doubt on of the best spider-man games i have played. for some odd reason it only saw limited release in the us. not all stores i checked had it. infact of the 6 states i checked (michigan, new york, calafornia, florida, maine, and ohio) no state had this game in a full supply. i was suprised to see it here for sale. even major game softwere sites don't offer it. some i e-mailed said it never existed. the gameplay is great, but only if you like classic side scroller's. the sound is ok, and the graphics aren't as eye straining as i thought they would be. it is the the second best spider-man title ever made for any game boy system. over shaddowed only by mysterio's menace for GBA. and sence gameboy advance (gba) is not as common to peoiple as game boy color i highkly recomend this game. this title unlike the first installment of the activision spider-man series is exclusive to the gbc (game boy color) and is one of the best titles made for the system. sence it is somewhat rare i would pick up a copy here at amazon.com while they last. and no they didn't pay me to say that. :) seeya lated.

5-0 out of 5 stars Spidey's back!
Spider-Man returns in this awesome adventure which puts the GBC system to the max! Aunt May has been kidnapped by the Sinister Six thinking she was Peter which we all know is Spidey. Spider-Man is hot on the trail but it's up to you to stop them! Good luck!

5-0 out of 5 stars Spider-Man 2: The Sinister Six Review
This game is great. The graphics are great as well. You get plenty of villains to face (Mysterio, Sandman, Vulture, Kraven The Hunter, Scorpian, and Dr. Octopus). 5-0 out of 5 stars A classic side-scrolling adventure
When Nintendo first released the NES worldwide, they needed to hire a good deal of third-party companies to produce games for the new system. One of the best-known corporations that decided to do this was Capcom. The company made a name for itself with popular series like Street Fighter and Mega Man, but one of the more interesting things is that the Disney corporation had Capcom do all of their early games! This was a smart move. One of the earliest Capcom/Disney collaborations to appear on the NES was Duck Tales. The game was so excellent that in 1993, Disney had Capcom do a sequel! And now the sequel is available on Game Boy! How does this game measure up? Read on to find out.

PROS:
-If you're a fan of classic side-scrolling exploration games, you're gonna love this one.
-This is a classic example of "easy to learn but hard to master." Games like this are usually the best games out there, and this is no exception.
-Three skill levels make the game appropriate for all game players.
-Though you only play as one character, you will encounter a number of characters on your journey who only add to the appeal of the storyline.
-Capcom's NES games were renowned for their high resolution graphics which had very minimal glitching. This game demonstrates that beautifully.
-The game adds in just enough new elements to keep things fresh.
-There are TWO endings!

CONS:
-The only thing I don't like about this game is that it's a pretty short game. Also, it's identical to the NES game. Otherwise I don't see any problems with it.

OVERALL:
Do you own a Game Boy? THEN YOU MUST BUY THIS GAME! I don't care if you're a Disney fan or not (I know I'm not), this is everything a side-scrolling adventure game should be. Back in the day, Capcom was the king of making good video games, and this was one of their finest. Don't pass it by! ... Read more

4-0 out of 5 stars Awful
I got this game two years ago when i was eight and i stilll didnt beat the first level. it is very hard and u always just want to turn this off. i would not recommed any one to buy this

2-0 out of 5 stars Dont Buy It For Younger Kids
Just because its rugrats does not mean its for kids! The rugrat chain of games are exactly the same thing, getting to one point to another but in the rugrat games you cant touch anyone, you have to switch levers in order to get to another piont, collect stuff along the way,and you have a time limit! If this sounds fun your WRONG!As you can tell little kids can not cordinate jumping are automaticaly know you have to touch levers or stay away from bad guys.I have to admit the mini games are fun,but there so short and easy!Dont get this game

3-0 out of 5 stars Frustrating and Difficult
This game was really hard. I beat the first level, but then I lost my password. When I tried to beat it again, I couldn't. I only enjoyed playing the mini games. I recommend this game for expierienced game players.

4-0 out of 5 stars Very good kids game
I bought this game for a 5 year old boy and he has enjoyed it very much.I recommend this game for children 5 and older.

3-0 out of 5 stars Kind ofPointless
Rugrats in Paris: The Game is sort of fun, but it gets old fast. Plus, it's hard in a way where you don't want to play anymore because it's really frustrating. Another downfall is the sound effects. They are really irritating, because all you hear CONSTANTLY is Tommy's laugh or Chuckie's gurgle sound, or whatever sound your character makes. It's not that fun, unless you're really bored or you're four. ... Read more

5-0 out of 5 stars Highly addictive...
If you like puzzle games, then this game is for you. The object is to fill "gears" with four marbles of the same color. Once filled they will "explode". After all the gears have had marbles explode once you advance to the next level. The password feature is great also, because you can start where you left off. The levels get increasingly difficult, but it's not overly frustrating. The controls are easy once you know them. There are "traffic light" levels where you have to have the marbles explode in the order of colors displayed on the traffic light. There are also color blockers, transporters, directional arrows, etc. There is also a time limit to complete each level as well as a time limit to get a marble into play. If you can find this game, it's an absolute must have for any puzzle gamer.

5-0 out of 5 stars Wonderful!
This is such a great game.I'm a 22 year old female who is addicted to puzzle games for Gameboy.I got this one and cannot stop playing it!It has a password feature so you don't have to keep going through levels that you've already completed.I highly suggest it if you like puzzle games!!

5-0 out of 5 stars Too much fun!
This is a great game for puzzle lovers.I got hooked, got mymom/sister/brother/nine year old son hooked. The premise is very simple, just one or two controls to remember when playing, but the combinationsstart out fun and then get better.I would highly recommend this game toanyone who likes shanghai, tetris, or logic/puzzles.

4-0 out of 5 stars Pretty cool!
Logical seems simple at first, but gets more challenging as it goes on. May not keep the attention of non-puzzle fans, but if you like puzzles, you just might like Logical.

5-0 out of 5 stars Great game, but not sure what category it falls under.
Logical is an addictive little puzzle or strategy game that keeps you coming back for more. The idea is to place four marbles or balls of the same color in each wheel. When all the wheels have been filled you move tothe next level. There are 99 or 100 levels in all.The only complaint Ihave is that the levels are not numbered, so you don't know what level youare on.Each level has a password, so you don't have to play each levelover. There are transporters, one way roads, color changers, lanes whichonly one color can go through.Right now I'm stuck on the first levelwhere the ball has a time limit.Keep getting better with this level, butstill have not been able to complete it.If you like different kinds ofgames, then this a good one. ... Amazon.com Review

That plucky little supermodel Barbie, who balances her social calendarwith occupations such as deep-sea diving and private investigation, adds anotherline to her résumé with Barbie: Pet Rescue for the Game BoyColor (it also works with the Game Boy Advance). The game's cute, simpleadventuring is just right for young ones to while away hours in the backseat oncar trips.

The plot is simple enough. Barbie and her little friend Stacie must searchthrough Green Arbor Park for various cute and mostly furry animals to rescue. Each successive rescue presents a more challenging puzzle, and a special prizeawaits those gamers who manage to rescue all 14 animals (we won't spoil thingsand reveal it here).

This game isn't just about helping Barbie and Stacie do their jobs, however. These animals need to be fed and played with, too. Some of them must be nursedback to health. And little gamers will likely delight in doing all this becauseBarbie's charges include bunnies, kittens, puppies, and more cute critters. Eventhough the graphics are typically sparse--notably simpler than the old CD-ROMversion--Barbie: Pet Rescue's combination of Pokémon-stylenurturing and the wholesome pinkness of Barbie herself makes it a great, ifoverly simple, game for ages 5 and slightly up. --Andrew S. Bub

Pros:

  • Cute, furry animals
  • A cool reward at the end
  • Teaches responsibility in the care and petting portion
Cons:
  • Sparse graphics
  • Older kids will gag at the cuteness

5-0 out of 5 stars My opinion of Pet Rescue...Comming from a 12-year-old
How much fun is this toy? I give it five stars because it is awsome and soo much fun!
How would you rate this toy's educational value? I give it four stars because it teaches children to be kind to animals.
How durable is this toy?I give it five stars for durability because it is absolutly durable!
And last but now least i give it five stars overall because it is A TOTALLY AWSOME GAME!!!

4-0 out of 5 stars Fun When You First Get It
I have this game for pc, not gb. This game is fun for two days.Once you finish it, it's soooooooooooooo boring! When you know how to "rescue" the animals, all you do is the same thing over and over and over and over and over again. And barbie is sooooooooooooo slow! It takes her an hour to walk one step. The point is,this game is just so darn stupid!!!!! There are way better barbie games out there,so,don't waste your ca$h by buying this game!!!!

3-0 out of 5 stars How much?????
There is no listed price. Why would I purchase it if I don't know how much it is???????

5-0 out of 5 stars Great for younger kids
This is a wonderful game for YOUNGER children. It was not intended for adults or eleven year olds!

1-0 out of 5 stars this game is AWFUL
This game is a nightmare. My husband, who is super at all sorts of video and computer games, can't even get it to work well.To rescue the pets, Barbie needs your help to make them not scared, make them come to her, etc. However you try to help, though, generally does not work easily. You will have better luck just randomly clicking until she does what she is supposed to do.Very irritating and disappointing. ... 2-0 out of 5 stars This game stinks
OK. Here are the pros and cons:
Pros: This is cool because you can blow up a robot. You can pick up an item that will make you scream and blow up buildings.
Cons: Just about everything else.

5-0 out of 5 stars the real monster mash!
as soon as I got this game I started playing. It's awsome! all you do is destroy buildings! my favorite character is lizzie. It's really fun to kick people and make them fly it's also fun to eat them! I really like the levels where you are flying you can get lots of points and when you die and start to shrink just press start! I highly reccomend this game!!!

3-0 out of 5 stars Cosmo
I think this game is fun at first, but gets extremly boring. There is no challange to the game. The worst part is, you can't save. People don't have the time or the patience to play forever in order to beat the game. Thelevels are all the same too. It also sucks that in order to kick, you haveto press both buttons, and sometimes end up doing something you don't wantto do. The kick is used a lot more then the punch adn jump. It should be amain button. Over all, it is an okay game. Not the best I ever played.Rampage 2 Universal tour is better.

2-0 out of 5 stars no effort
Nintendo have put absolutly no effort into this game, they've just taken an old classic and thrown it in a gameboy cartridge. The worst problem is that there is no save, there are 100 levels and you can't even save! So you've got to sit down and play for 5 hours in order to finish the game. Atfirst the game is really fun with all the old moves and characters but itso ... repetetive it's not funny. With the exeption of a few buildings allthe levels are pretty much the same for 100 levels. What a shame this couldhave been really good. ( for all those who complained about there not beinga 2-player option, here is a code so that you can with the use of a linkcable:- at the options menu hold select and press the control pad UP, DOWN,LEFT, RIGHT, DOWN, UP. )

5-0 out of 5 stars This clasic is unstopable!
This game has tons of levels so you will keep on playing. You don't have to spend your money on super easy games. The fun just keeps on going on and on and on. Instead of paying $400 a year just on gameboy games just because they are all so easy just pay one small amount on this game. ... Read more

5-0 out of 5 stars Snoopy Magic Gameboy Review
This game starts out simple and becomes more complex and you make it through various stages. If you like Snoopy and Woodstock, this is one of the few, perhaps only, Gameboy games that feature them. Snoopy saves various Woodstocks and he has to maneuver through various obstacle courses (blocks, arrows, etc.) without being hit by one or more balls. There's a lot more and there are about 100 different screens. If you lose all of your lives, you can continue to play at whatever level you were at anyway by choosing 'Continue' (don't have to go back to the easy level), but your points do go back to zero. The only Gameboy my 5 year old likes so far! Good old-fashioned Gameboy fun. Kind of like Packman on steroids, but with Snoopy in charge. Great music, different on each screen. Worked fine on our new Gameboy Advance even though an older Gameboy game. Just plug it in upside-down in the back. ... Read more

Amazon.com Review

We never fancied that a company could mess up a game like Galaga, but it's happened. While Q-Bert and Frogger 2 had to be consideredsuccessful remakes, Galaga is anything but, and will leave playerssearching for the black-and-white Galaga redux version that came out forGame Boy years ago.

On the positive side, this Galaga is in color--it adds four backgroundsin place of the once starry black night. The game also offers up bigger shipsand enemies, but this ends up changing the game by allowing fewer foes onscreenat once. The result is an easy 24 levels, in which enemies fly in the same basicpatterns. Once players get ahold of these flight formations, all challenge fliesout the door--as does any interest that one might have had in playing thegame.

Even hard-core retrogamers should stay away from this one. It's not the same asthe original, and it won't test players' finger dexterity. Luckily, there arebetter versions of Galaga floating around for those who are willing toseek them out. --Robb Guido

  • Bears a slight resemblance to the original

1-0 out of 5 stars Yuck!!
I am very disappointed in this game!I totally *love* Galaga, so when I saw this game in the stores, I immediately snatched it up.Big mistake! While the background graphics are kind of cool, they really are very distracting and make seeing the "aliens" difficult.Perhaps that was the idea...the game is sooooo easy that they had to make something in it difficult!

How easy is this game?I sat down for the first time with it yesterday, and made it to the second to the last screen of the game in my first play.Bummer.Seriously, save your money, don't get this game!!

2-0 out of 5 stars Skip this and wait for the Playstation/PC version
I've had the original Namco Galaga/Galaxian Game Boy cartridge for quite a while, and it's one of my favorite games on this platform.I was curious about the new Galaga and picked it up... thankfully, I didn't spend *too* much money on it.The new Game Boy Galaga is a staggering disappointment. There is almost no challenge to it, with more time having been spent on the scrolling background graphics than on actual game play. The original Galaga cartridge demands a lot of the player. This new edition only demands that you stay awake (hey, sometimes it's hard!).The Playstation/PC version will certainly be much better than this, so save your money and wait for that one. ... 5-0 out of 5 stars The BEST Game Boy game!!
I LOVE THIS GAME!!!!! This is the best game! I havn't beat it yet, but I will soon! Let's hope I can!!!

4-0 out of 5 stars great game but almost a copy
this is a very good game.if you like donkey kong country 2.the diffrencesstart on the first boss.this boss is diffrent the krow will come from the right.you wait for the egg to stop bouncing jump over him and hit him with the egg. same at ghost krow.klaver is a sword in lava.this boss is pretty much the same.but you jump over crocidale heads instead of hooks.and you shoot him with a cannon.klubba is not in this game atsept at the toll. you do not get to fight him as a boss.kackel is not in this game eithter they replace him with a themepark level called crazy roller coaster. for king zing bee is much more calleging when you try to hit himmore bees appaer.ok the of the game captin k rool.ok this guy is pretty weak for hte boss of the game.you could beat him on your first try this game is very fun so if you buy this,
goodluck.

5-0 out of 5 stars Donkey kong land 2 is [Great]!
I played the Super Nintendo version of this game a few years ago and only one part disapointed me.In the part where the kritter with the club you need to find 10 kremeling coins to get the golden barrel behind him and beat one of the hard worlds.Anyway I realy enjoy this game. It has a ton of good levels and a challenging roll....

5-0 out of 5 stars One of the best platformers ever.
Here a summery of the game: The bad news- is a conversion of a SNES game to the 8-bit Game Boy, so it's not quite as good as the original. The Good News- a pretty good version considering the GB of one of the best games of all time... now fits in your pocket.

Graphics- isn't the SNES original, but is very good at pushing the GB's capabilities. 10/10

Sound-VERY good at pushing the wimpy GB speakers. 10/10

Gameplay- Rock SOLID! I love this game! Some of 2D platformers best (and since I like 2D to 3D platformers, that's saying even more) Got to try it if you haven't. 10/10

Value-Plenty of levels, and challenging, but you'll keep coming back. Just watch. :-) 10/10

Overall: This one is on my list of top ten games (at least!) of all time, and unless Nintendo releases ports of the Counrty series on the GBA (I'll keep my fingers cross), this is the next best thing. It lost a few things in the conversion, but none of its polish. If your even interested enough to read this far, you'll probably love this game (almost as much as me ;-)).

5-0 out of 5 stars Cooooooooooool
This is a very cool game. I think it is better than Donkey kong land 3. In dk2 there is 40 levels and collect 40 DC coins. You get to be Diddy and his girlfriend Dixie kong. The cool part is that Dixie Kong can fly with her hair spinning. This is a very cool game and it is just like the one in the nintando system. ... Read more

Editorial Review

Anyone who survived the first wave of twitch video games of the'80s will remember Yars' Revenge. It was one of the best and mostpopular games available for the legendary Atari 2600 console, and many asore thumb can be attributed to hours in front of the TV battling theevil Qotile Armada. Now a new generation of gamers can see what all thefuss was about with Yars' Revenge for the Game Boy.

The premiseand gameplay have not changed. You pilot a ship that looks like ahousefly, blasting your way through the barrier that shields the Qotilemothership so you can destroy it and progress to the next level. Homingmissiles and the Qotile itself hinder your progress and keep you on themove at all times. As the game progresses, the shields become moredifficult to penetrate and the obstacles harder to dodge.

That's it.Yars' Revenge is reflex gaming at its most basic level. Thegraphics stink and the sound effects are laughable, but this isn't thetype of game that relies on cutting edge technology to deliver greatgameplay. If you prefer more steak than sizzle, Yars' Revengeshould deliver hours of old-school fun. --T. Byrl Baker

  • A gaming classic
  • Furiously paced gameplay

  • Gets repetitive

5-0 out of 5 stars Just as I remembered it!
This one's a classic, folks. I don't remember 'Yar's Revenge' being one of the "bigger name" games on Atari. It wasn't a 'Pac Man' or a 'Space Invaders', but it was definately a fun game. I loved it back then and I love it now. The Game Boy port of the title is excellent. The game is just as I remembered it. The only noticable difference is that the playing field is larger than the Game Boy's screen, meaning it will have to scroll in order to get to the other side. This is a minor footnote, however, and is an obstacle that will quickly be overcome. If you loved this game in the 80's and own a game boy, grab it up!

4-0 out of 5 stars Fun!
I remember this game from my young teens....it still hasn't changed and is just as much fun as still addicting. The graphics are ok, but for those of us old timers from the Atari 2600 generation, this will feel like putting on a pair of old shoes! Its challenging on a small screen and takes some getting used too.I reccommend this to the 30 something crowd!

4-0 out of 5 stars Great conversion of an old Atari game
This is a great conversion of the original Atari 2600 game from 1983.The graphics are better but the same addictive game play is there. And the price is good too for a new GameBoy Color cart.A password system lets youpick up a game where you left off previously rather than starting fromscratch.

4-0 out of 5 stars YES!
