4-0 out of 5 stars Motocross
This is a pretty fun game. There are many riders to choose from along with bikes. You can choose different race tracks and do short races, championships, and freestyle. The freestyle takes a little while to figure out how to do the moves. I would recommend this game if your a motocross fan.

5-0 out of 5 stars Get it!!!!!
This is the best motocross game ever to hit GBC! It features 125cc or 250cc racing, with 15 riders to choose from in each catagory. For freestyle it has 8 tricks that u can see clearly what it is, and features about 12 freestyle riders. You can choose out of 10 pro tracks, and then tune up your bike for the weather conditions in each track, which will change. Or u can compete in the THQ race, which is inside an arena, with lights turned on, and it will measure your jumps for pro or the THQ races, but you have to be in Amature or Pro to get your jump measured. And you can change the diffuculty and the # of laps (3-9 laps). It shows it from the back with 3D graphics! I reccomend this game to everyone, motocross or not fan, it will your hours the funnest you'll ever have with you GBC! So get it before it runs out! ... Read more

5-0 out of 5 stars My favorite pinball
It seems silly for a grownup, but of all the pinball games I've had for my gameboy, this is the best. When the old one I had died, I bought a replacement! It's both 1 and 2, there are lots of level and speed setting combos, and lots of minigames. I play it every week!

5-0 out of 5 stars Really good!
This is a really addicting Pinball game! It is really fun and challenging. you have to spell the names of either Ariel or Melody (depending on which table you play) to open up secrets and mini-games. this game is extremely addictiong and is good for a long car trip!

5-0 out of 5 stars Pinball Addiction
We are a family of pinball addicts and absolutely love this game.It is a constant battle to see who can outdo whom in the high score range. The graphics are good as is the music.Good color and the mini-screen turns aren't as easy as they look but they're still alot of fun! This is great for all ages!!

4-0 out of 5 stars Excellent
I bought this game for our son (2 years), and actually it's a bit advanced for him. However, the music and animation is entertaining enough, and the game play rudimentary enough that he still manages to entertain himself quite well with the game even if he can't really play it.The more interesting detail is that my wife and I have found ourselves to be pinball junkies. It's very addictive. The game play requires skill and stategy as you proceed to hit various targets on the board in order to unlock bonus games, and other prizes.Throw in the rumble pack, and the fact that you essentially can't ever exhaust game play on a pinball game and you got all you need to have a highly entertaining game that you'll be playing for a long time.

5-0 out of 5 stars fun game!
great graphics, pretty easy for 4-5 year olds to control when on the easy setting and the vibrations from the extra piece makes the game more fun! plus you can play as either ariel or melody! ... Read more

5-0 out of 5 stars A great game
This game is fun for a 7 year old like me.My 3 year old sister has made it to level 4.Each M & M has special powers that come in handy on different worlds. You can switch which M&M you are using to advance. One world has water and only one M&M can survive. It is lots of fun.

4-0 out of 5 stars My 6-year-old loves it
This is a good introductory game for younger GameBoy-ers.My six-year-old plays it nearly every day.He doesn't really care how the graphics look; he's more interested in making it through each level to the next one.As he gets better at playing he advances to more levels and really feels as though he has accomplished something.Best of all, the violence level is very minimal.

4-0 out of 5 stars fun for 11 year old
My 8 year old daughter thought this was too hard to bother... my 11 year old, however, can't stop playing it.... it's replaced Pokemon...

3-0 out of 5 stars Another generic platform game
Am I the only one sick of these character 2 dimensional platform games? Just because Majesco (the publisher of the game, who has published other mediocore games such as Ultimate Paintball) slaped a M&M's liscesne on this game doesn't mean that the game is great. This game is as plain as you can get with get from point A to point B gameplay with average graphics. It's tedious and boring as well. If you want a good platform game get Mario Brothers Deluxe or the excellent Rayaman game.

5-0 out of 5 stars Probably the best Tetris sequel
Tetris became an instant classic when it was packaged with the Game Boy in 1989. But the most interesting thing about the game becoming so successful is the fact that it spawned so many sequels - each of which was unique in its own way. One of these sequels was Tetris Plus, in which the objective of the game was to save a professor from being smashed by a spiked ceiling, rather than scoring lines like in traditional Tetris games. How does this change of pace work out for the series? Read on and see.

PROS:
-The graphics here are VERY good for a classic Game Boy game.
-The game has Super Game Boy color enhancements, which will make it that much more fun if you choose to play it using that accessory.
-In addition to the new "rescue the professor" mode which is the main attraction of the game, there is the classic Tetris mode you should know and love.
-Like in most Tetris titles, there's a two-player Game Link mode (WELL worth checking out if both you and a friend own the game.)

CONS:
-The music, while very good, isn't nearly as catchy as the classical Russian music featured in the original Game Boy game.

OVERALL:
Overall this is a fine addition to the Tetris library. If you're a fan of puzzle games, then Tetris Plus is well worth checking out. Sure, it never got the recognition and popularity that the original did, but it's still excellent. Don't pass it by if you're a Game Boy owner.

5-0 out of 5 stars Best Tetris
I am not a game player normally, but I love this. This is the game that had me buying a game boy.

With the different levels and the puzzle, it is the perfect game for an airplane ride.

I've played every version of Tetris I can find and this is the best, short of the original PC version.

5-0 out of 5 stars Huge Tetris Fan

Amazon.com Review

The slogan on the box says, "Powerpuff Girls are saving the world beforebedtime." Bad Mojo Jojo's repetitive gameplay, however, will put somegamers to sleep well before that time.

Based on the Cartoon Network series, this title spotlights Blossom, thepink-clad leader of the Powerpuff Girls. The dilemma facing the girls at the start ofthe game is that Mojo Jojo has kidnapped the girls' mentor, Professor Utonium.Blossom must battle Bratty Little Princess, Roach Coach, and eventually MojoJojo himself (hence the game's name) to save the brave professor.

The idea behind the game is to run or fly around the professor's home and lab, collecting all the goodies that the various robbers dropped in their hastyransacking of the place. The items consist of treasure, special graphic cards ofBlossom & Co., and health power-ups.

Some simple puzzle solving is required to finish this game, but that reallytakes second fiddle to honing one's exploration skills and reaction timing. Evenwithout reading the manual--and who does nowadays?--most will quickly figure outwhere they're going and what they've got to do.

If this series has a singular hook, it is that all three of the girls' games canbe linked though the GBC's vastly underutilized infrared port. Whatever iscollected in one cartridge can be sent over to another. In this way, players whowork together can more quickly gather all the cool collectibles in the game andget further ahead in less time. It's too bad the makers didn't spend a littlemore time putting a game together that was stylish to look at and engaging toplay. --Todd Mowatt

Pros:

  • Some cool tech and marketing features
Cons:
  • Repetitive gameplay
  • Small, simple character design poorly conveys the cartoon's unique aesthetic

5-0 out of 5 stars Buttercup is my hero!!!
I like buttercup because everyday she has to beat up the scum into a living pulp! And i like the show when she doesn't take a bath because i don't like taking baths either! Buttercup and me are so alike that she must like eating fish eyeballs like me! Those taste like chalk but they are so good for you!! Hear that buttercup!!!...Oh wait! I forgot! This is the 1st awesomest game of the powerpuff girls and all three are really good!!! Buttercup should be the president of the whole world...

1-0 out of 5 stars Bad Mojo Jojo, Indeed
I got this game for Christmas 2000 and was quickly disappointed. I don't demand great graphics from a GBC game, but this one's graphics aren't even marginally good. What's the point of playing a Powerpuff Girls game when the characters are barely even recognizable?

Gameplay stinks, too. The characters' attacks are monotonous, and the game consists entirely of exploring flat, side-scrolling locations and beating up bad guys. You're also supposed to pick up items along the way, but those are mostly pointless.

I'm a diehard Powerpuff fan, but I can't recommend this game. It's too bad -- the Powerpuff Girls are among the few GBC games that would have strong appeal to young girls, and the designers disrespect them with this crummy game.

3-0 out of 5 stars Not all that fun
This Powerpuff Girls game is not like the episodes. All you do is go around collecting girly stuff and the same thing. And you get lost in the Bonsai Garden level. And the people and the villains are so easy to beat all it takes is ten hits out of all the villians and 2 hits out the same ones you fight in every level. When i first heard of this game I thought it was going to be fun.But no this game is not very fun.And all three of the games on Gameboy color are all the same and the same levels in each one just different orders.I think this game is not very fun

4-0 out of 5 stars this game is interesting, but not everything you expect
This game is neat (especially for me, because i'm a blossom fan) for die-hard fans, although the graphics could be worked on, the ability to change into other powerpuff girls, rowdyruff boys, and the mayor is neat (personally I like to fly around as the mayor), but if you like games with terribly great graphics then don't get it :)

5-0 out of 5 stars AWESOME!!!!!
This game is extremely AWESOME!!!The graphics are amazing and the music is wonderful!!!Oh, And the trading cards and cheats you can use like the mayor, and the plot are neat to!!!Blossom is my favorite, because she has ice breath, and kicks BADGUY BUTT :0** P.S. 3-0 out of 5 stars Fun for a little while
I love racing games but am a little disappointed with this one. It was fun for the first 10 minutes but soon got both boring and aggervating after that. Maybe I just ..., but it's easier to simply pass the other bikers than to try to hit them. Trying to hit them always slows me down. The graphics are pretty good, and overall it really is a fun game, but you're go so fast that it's hard not to crash into things a lot, and then when you're running back to your bike, sometimes people run you over and you find yourself cussing at little video game men. So if you're a person (like me) who gets ticked enough to just about smash the Gameboy against the wall, then this isn't the game for you. Also, it's not really that big of a deal, but it ... how you have to enter a password to get to where you last finished, because the game doesn't save that sort of thing for you. But overall, this is an okay game.

5-0 out of 5 stars kicken game!!
This is the best game ever invented for gameboy.its fun, exiting and there are many different aspects to it like fighting racing and crashing and dont forget getting pulled over by the cops thats the worst!! its cool because in the bike shop there are tons of different bikes to buy if you have enough money.you earn money by winning or placing highly in races. There are also many tracks to choose from like alaska, arizona, and hawaii just to name a few.this is an awsome game you wont be disapointed!!

5-0 out of 5 stars rampaging racing
wow!!! road rash for gameboy is incredible. much better than the genesis version. nintendo did a great job getting all that on to a small screen. the scenery, the fighting, the driving is great. i can't forget the crashing, even if it's yourself. pick this up, you won't find a better racing combat game for gameboy yet. i can't forget the cop chases either. that's cool also.

4-0 out of 5 stars Rule The Road Day Or Night !
Are you tired of getting cut off in traffic? Did someone just steal your parking spot at the mega-mall? Stuck behind someone going 35 mph with their blinker on for 5 miles? Well here is your salvation brother! Plug in Road Rash and Get some "get back!"

Road Rash for the Game Boy has alot of the feel and excitement of the Genesis originial that made it such a hit. The gameplay is fast and exciting. The link feature expands the fun and gives you a chance to show everyone at the office "who's da man". This game has a great replay value and just might save both your sanity and your insurance rates.

If I had to find fault with this game I would have to assign it the same faults as the originial and say that some aspects are just hard for no reason. I highly recommend this game for anyone, both kids and adults. ... Read more

2-0 out of 5 stars Marble (not-so-fun)ness
The game I've played is not for color, rather the older version.
But, it cant be much different.
Basicaly, you roll a marble around in a "maze" - well, its not a maze, more you move it around obstacles. The fun part of the game is where you roll you marble in front of a "wave" that carries you, but if you dont get off of it, the marble falls and you have to start again (from where it fell)
Overall, I felt the game was okay for a hour or less, but it gets boring after a while. There are more worthwile things to spend your money on.

4-0 out of 5 stars Perfect recreation of a Nintendo game
This is an original "race" to the finish, because you play as a marble and go down a 3D course full of traps, hazards like puddles of acid, vacuums, enemy marbles, slinkies that eat your marble and several challenges. This is not a game for children or anyone who can get frustrated easily, because first of all the controls are not where you press down and your marble goes down, when you press down your marble goes diagonally down and left! Secondly, if you fall far enough, your marble will break and crumble, but fear not, because you have unlimited "marbles," however you are limited by time. Once your time runs out, that's it! There are only five courses in the game. This game is a perfect recreation of the original Nintendo game. There is a two player linked mode, so two players can race each other down the course.

1-0 out of 5 stars Difficult to play
For me, the bottom line is: this game is difficult to play on a gameboy. The original arcade game used a trackball and it was a very fun and exciting game. This does not translate well to how a gameboy is played. It is difficult to move the marble around 360 degrees.I do not recommend this game.

2-0 out of 5 stars not like the original
The original marble madness is really good. it was ported to the gameboy and had great phisics and was exactly like the amiga and arcade versions, there was only one porblem, it was in black and white. Well my friends thisnew game was supposed to fix all that. Unfortunatly it failed. Hear me outand I'll tell you why. Instead of modifying the old engine of marblemadness they oppted to make an entirly new one, Big mistake, although thislooks exactly like the first one its very different in gameplay. First ofall the phisics are all wrong, hills present little problem to get over andif you are going through a lot of twisty doo dads(for lake of a bettername) you will fall off instead of skiming off the sides like in theoriginal. Another problem is that it slows down in some areas, Slows down? why? Its not over the limits of what a gbc(gameboy color) can do, all I canattribute this to is the game company rushing it, and therefore forgetingto fix some major bugs and slowdown issues. Also, unlike the original, themuliplayer was pulled out of this version at the last second, so no playinghead to head with your friend:( All in All this was a rushed game thatshould have had at least two more monthes of programing and bug fixingbefore it was released. On the plus side it has one more level than the oldversion, and its in color. P.S. I recomend the original gb version, it maynot be in color, but at least you can play it with a friend, and it hasgreat phisics.

2-0 out of 5 stars Too frustrating for younger children
I bought this as a gift for a 5-year old, who is quite accomplished through many levels at several other Game Boy games (Donkey Kong, Pac Man, etc.)He was far more frustrated with this than any other game. The GameBoy game direction control is not adequate.Ideally, a slower marble speedas a training or beginner level may help (although I recognize the gamegives unlimited lives within the alotted time and real marbles have onespeed on a given slope). It is a difficult game best suited for older, accomplished gamers. ... Editorial Review

The Game Boy seems to have a billion games involving a herorunning from left to right and jumping over platforms, but BionicCommando rises above the clutter with its interesting take on theside-scrolling action genre.

You assume the role of a commando with a super-extendable bionic arm.Your task is to free your ally Commando Joe, who is trapped in an enemyprison. With the bionic arm, players swing from place to place, stun bad guys, and even grapple walls and ceilings. As the gameprogresses, you'll earn new weapons and armor. Unlike mostside-scrolling action games, your commando (playable as a male or female)cannot jump from platform to platform. This twist brings a refreshingbit of strategy to the generally fast-paced action.

Commando boasts some of the best graphics the Game Boy Color hasever seen. All of the characters are smoothly animated and, consideringthe tiny size of the screen, the levels are very detailed. Whetheryou're a fan of the original 1980s Bionic Commando gamesfrom the arcade and the original Nintendo Entertainment System, or wantto experience one of the best titles on the Game Boy Color, this is aportable gaming classic. --Mark Brooks

Pros:

  • A refreshing take on the crowded side-scrolling action game genre

4-0 out of 5 stars Fun game.
When I bought this game I just bought it for the looks. But it turned out to be exeptionally good game. The graphics 8/10, Sound 9/10, Gameplay 10/10, Fun 9/10.So its great.

3-0 out of 5 stars Grappling can never replace jumping . . .
I never played the original Bionic Commando, so I cannot acurately compare it to this remake. What I'm told, though, is that the female commando is new.
This is essentially a mission-based side-scroller that also stems to occasional bloody sniper-modes and some omni-scrolling. The play-control is done rather well, except that you cannot jump. Instead, you have to use your grappling arm to get from one platform to another, which can make for unnecessary dificulty. There is also a lot of maze work in some levels, forcing you to run in circles before actually getting from point A to point B and so forth.
As for the commandos themselves, the "Johnny Knocksville" male commando and the "X-Woman Psylocke" female differ only in looks. The choice is probably based on your preference for gender. I usually play as the female even though I'm male, but maybe that's just me.
The storyline is simple: a former bionic commando loses his temper and decides he wants to destroy the government that created him. At least that's what I remember. You are a new commando sent to stop the evil cyborg at all costs.
As you progress, you will collect new weapons and items. Most of the items are merely requirements to complete your mission while the new weapons simply make you more powerful. You may also collect other enhancements such as a pair of steel boots to knock your enemies out while swinging.

4-0 out of 5 stars Have been an avid gamer since the days of the Atari 2600.
I bought this game for only one reason, because I love the original NES version soo much. The original NES version was a perfect side scroller action game that you can play over and over without getting tired of it.I was a little disapointed with the Gameboy Color version but after a while, it begins to grow on you. It may not be as good as the NES version but this game is still worth buying.

4-0 out of 5 stars Bionic Commando left me hanging.
Not as in left me hanging not knowing what to do in the game, it merely freezes everytime I try to enter a level after fighting an enemy truck. Talk about a pain!I've read somewhere else people complain about Bionc Commando freezing up on their GameBoys, yet I see no one talking about it here.It happend on my GBC, and now it happens on my GBA. I still can'tget into to level 6 for crying out loud. this is a big problem, that can only be fixed, I found out, by sending your GBC or GBA and the game into Nintendo, where they will fix it for free and whatever. I say, that's good, but right now I'm in the middle of LEgend of Zelda: Oracle of Seasons, I don't feel like interuppting my gameplay at the moment. It's really a shame, because I love this game!! The graphics are amazing, how they crammed such life-like human motions into a GB is beyond me. And I wish people would stop complaining about the "irritating music". Where have they been? I love the music! It's also very detailed. You can tell if eletric guitars and drums are playing along with a rock organ at one point. And cymbals and stuff. It's really very entertaining. The BOSSes are hard, but you just WANT to beat them, so you keep doing itand suddenly its like "Oh, now I know what to do!"And you get rid of 'em.I'd love to say "Buy IT!" but not if it means it'll freeze up your system. Hey, if you really like, go ahead and get it, maybe it won't give you a problem, but if it does, Nintendo will fix it.

5-0 out of 5 stars If you liked the NES version of Bionic Commando...
If you liked the NES version of Bionic Commando, this Gameboy Color version makes the NES version look archaic!! New levels, two characters to choose from (the strong male, and the agile female), beautiful graphics, smooth scrolling, and detailed character animations truely make this cartridge stand out. With the traditional side scrolling levels, and top-down battles when intercepting enemy trucks, and a new 3rd type of combat in sniper mode that is optional for powerups during a mission, the game will definately keep you entertained.3 save slots are available on this cartridge. Also, if you are mid-mission, and you need to quit back to the map to change equipment or save, holding Select, A, and B all at the same time will exit the mission and bring you out. ... 1-0 out of 5 stars Worst game for the gameboy color EVER!!!
Its graphics were absolutely terrible, and so was the story line.If I could i would have given it negative points on the scale.

5-0 out of 5 stars Great game
Azure dreams is a amazing game. It has alot of fun things for you to do like catching ,battiling, and making friends with monsters.Ut has alot of levels for you to explorer.I my self love the game even tho i got it a few days ago i loved it,and i bring it every where my house, restuaraunt, my friends house,in the car, around town, and even in the bathroom. If you were to get this game you would boe a great person!

4-0 out of 5 stars Don't Expect Any Help From the Instruction Booklet.
I learned how to play this game by trial and error, and it's an okay role-playing game.I'm familiar with the PC version and Nintendo got the gist of this large-scope game crammed into the Game Boy pretty well. There are lots of things the instruction booklet doesn't tell you, like how to move creatures into your army once you've recruited them into your garrison.I was highly annoyed when I accidentally discovered how to do it.Other than that, and the rather clumsy menus, this is a pretty good (but long) game. One of the better hand-held RPGs that I've tried.

3-0 out of 5 stars Game Boy Handles This Laborious Game Well.
When I say laborious, I really mean it.The graphics are good and the menus are easy to access and see, but that does not make up for the irritating premise of the game itself. The fact that you can only take five objects into the tower and you always start back at level 1 is annoying, but you can power up if you hang in there long enough.Unfortunately, you can never make it all the way up without losing your monsters and getting hit by some super-strong baddie and you end up having to warp back to town.Being able to make changes to the town, such as expanding the hero's house, is neat.Too bad you don't make enough money selling the items you pick up in the tower to do much renovating! It would be nice if Game Shark would hack some cheat codes but they don't seem to feel the need to do that for the Game Boy version of Azure Dreams.

4-0 out of 5 stars Kind of cute,
I have enjoyed this game, but well, it's much easier than the Playstation version. The graphics are fairly good, the game play is smooth and I enjoy playing it. ... Read more

1-0 out of 5 stars Boo!!
I am not impressed woth this game. Poor graphics, poor gameplay, and not very fun. No one will really enjoy this title, as it is just not very fun. It is fustrating, and there is not enough replay value. Maybe this will work on the Game Boy Advance, but it sure doesn't fly here. ... Read more

5-0 out of 5 stars a great word game
Wordtris is similiar to Tetris in that you have to build words or you lose your turns, The letters, similiar to Scrabble letters, fall down and you have to rush around to line them up.

This game is great fun and I recommend it highly to all word lovers. ... Read more

Amazon.com Review

Barbie Magic Genie Adventure sticks to straight side-scrollingaction and an extremely simple control scheme to attract girl gamers. Thecombination works somewhat, because of good graphics and a decent amount oflevel objectives, which will keep players busy.

Barbie Magic Genie Adventure sends Barbie on her carpet through castlesand forests, as she looks for crystals, harps, and other items that arenecessary to fulfill the quests that Barbie encounters through the game. Fromtime to time, Barbie even will get to play games, which are hopelesslysimplistic, but add variety nonetheless.

The controls in this one are about as easy as it gets. The directional pad movesBarbie, while pressing the "A" button allows Barbie to talk to other characters. No other actions are needed from her, because a flying Barbie has no need tojump and no need for a weapon. We appreciate the nonviolent game, but a few moreBarbie skills would have been nice.

The graphics are colorful and animate smoothly, and the levels were large enoughto confound even us big players, at times. And, while this doesn't make for agreat title by any means, it's enough to please ardent Barbie fans. --RobbGuido

Pros:

  • Lots of objectives
  • Large levels and colorful graphics
Cons:
  • Simplistic gameplay

5-0 out of 5 stars Barbie Magic Genie Adventure - gameboy
My 7 yr. old daughter loves this game. She plays it on those long (and short) car trips.

5-0 out of 5 stars This 7 year old loves it!
I like it a lot!It is the best game Ihave ever played!I like it a lot!

4-0 out of 5 stars Fly your magic carpet as Barbie Genie
I am a 30 year old mom and I got this game boy game as one of my 5 year old's first game boy game. My daughter loves this game and enjoys playing all the little mini games in the activity mode. For me, I find I AM THE ONE stealing moments to play this game, but mostly in the mission/adventure mode. It is very addictive, challenging (but not so challenging that my five year old couldn't do) and the graphics and sound are excellent. There are many lands to explore, (cloud city, marketplace, crystal caverns, magic forest, dragon playground & atlantis), lots of mazes, hidden areas and fun little activities that never bore. Trying to train the little pegasus is a lot of fun. If I was my daughter's age, this is the game I would have chosen as my first game boy color game, but I am partial to Arabian themes anyway. The only annoyance is saving the game, it requires a lengthy coded password. Worth every penny.

5-0 out of 5 stars Genies and Mazes are Fun!
I am seven years old and I like the game because you go into all different places like up in the sky and in the sea. There are big mazes to go through to find genie bottles. There is one genie bottle in every maze. You might need a little bit of help from your big brother to get through a maze.

5-0 out of 5 stars Four-year old loves it!
I bought this game for my 4-and-one-half year old daughter. She adores it!We use the Game Boy when we travel for extended periods of time. It kept her well-entertained. She particularly likes the matching games, and the game where the Pegasus jumps from cloud to cloud. There are lots of different activities and it's a lovely alternative to the shoot-em-up adventure games. ... Read more

4-0 out of 5 stars Unless your an extreme fan of FF
I got this game a long time ago after I bought number 3. Not to knock anyone who likes it but this is by far the 2nd worst game I have ever played. The game so insanely hard that it wasn't fun anymore. I used game shark for max stats and unlimited of the best weapons, and I still found myself dying over and over. But the story is pretty good. You have to travel through a bunch of different worlds looking for the main characters dad. You get to collect different magi, magic stones. That help you get around to different worlds. In every world their is a beanstalk thing that goes up and they all me in this big area going to the next. Progressing through the game is only hard b/c the enemies are hard, but going in the right direction is great b/c people in towns will always tell you. But unless you are a fan, don't buy this.

3-0 out of 5 stars Problematic yet strangely attractive, nostalgic
The storyline to Final Fantasy Legend II (Second installment of the SaGa series in Japan, billed as Final Fantasy in the U.S. to boost sales) is interesting, but the characters in the game are impersonal and the game's bland, linear nature will leave modern games yearning for the depth, control, and immersion that today's RPGs give. Also, the game is incredibly easy until the very end, when it becomes frustratingly difficult. You'll have the ability to customize your part in the beginning, my suggestion is 2 mutants and 2 humans, but after that your wiggle room for customization is very small.

Do I recommend this game? For regular (non-advance) Game Boy owners, it is a must have - the FFL series is the pinnacle of old-time portable RPG titles. However, there are much better games out there today; it might be worth saving your money. If you have this game lying around and haven't played it though, it might provide quite a few hours of enjoyment.

5-0 out of 5 stars Final Adict
In this game you will face tough battles meet many strange people, and get friends to join you!
Basically, It's Awesome!

5-0 out of 5 stars this game got me through ninth grade english
magi, seventy-seven pieces scattered throughout various worlds. when brought together they form a statue of the goddess Isis, individually they represent power to their holder.many mortals seek the magi to gain enough power to become a self proclaimed god.you have control over four warriors and sometimes a guest, who are on a quest to gather magi and prevent evil persons from obtaining that power.you have a choice of who you want in your party, a human male/female, mutant male/female(magic users), different monsters who change througout the game, and a robot who increases/decreases HP and stats depending on what he is equipped with.if these don't sound like the ingredients of a fun filled adventure then don't get this game.it is one I will always remember, heck I still have it and play every couple of years.

5-0 out of 5 stars Childhood brought back on gameboy
I recently found this game deep in my room playing this old school rpg remembered me of all the final fanasty games I had as a past I recomend if you want to ever look back on a kickass game you once played this is a must it basically starts as you go on a adventure and when you leave your school the teacher ask you to bring a few friends along so you choose your team and your teacher comes along but then the mission get's a bit strange I can't tell you much more but BUY THIS GAME!!!!!!! ...
