5-0 out of 5 stars Great!
I love it!It is so cool! The other bozos, however, don't.They miss bombs and 2 weapons. The bombs were cheezy.Kill everything on screen with one button. The 2 weapons was cheating.Put a spreader on one side and switch before you die and tell me that isn't cheating.I don't see bombs or 2 weapons on Shattered Soldier (also great). Then again, Shattered Soldier gives you 3 weapons, which charge. And you can't lose them.I'll save the rest for a SS review.
There are supposedly new levels, but I can't tell.I never played the original.
They say this game is luck.Luck is nothing.
TELL ME I'M LUCKY WHEN I GET TO FRICKEN' LEVEL 4 WITHOUT DYING ONCE!(I'm good, not great)
Passwords suck.I prefer to play straight through in one sit.
I hope they port Contra.And Castlevania 2...

4-0 out of 5 stars It's cool, but not also
The GBA is nothing but a repository for bad ports of SNES titles that weren't all that good in the first place.
According to some people, anyway. Such close-minded folk will simply have to miss out on this lovely Contra remix, a combination of two of the 16-bit era's best shooters.
The Alien Wars (SNES) and Hard Corps (Genesis) with some extra stuff thrown in for good measure. (The only major omissions: The SNES game's overhead levels are gone, and you can't carry multiple weapons at once.) If you've never played them before, consider this game a handy pocket reference to an age that unfortunately passed long ago. As you'd expect from Konami's 16-bit years, The Alien Wars EX features stupendously well-animated characters and a boopy-yet-catchy soundtrack. The control's spot-on, too, which is helpful 'cuz the smaller screen size means you have a much tinier margin of error during most boss battles. Of course, this being Contra, the game's mind-numbingly challenging a fact that limited continues and an annoying 18-letter password system don't change much. Despite (or perhaps because of) this, this is one hot 'n spicy GBA remake that's actually worth the money for a change.

2-0 out of 5 stars Not How I Remember It...
I was so elated to find out Konami was releasing a new version of the SNES classic Contra 3 for the Gameboy Advance. To my disappointment, I didn't find myself having as much fun with this version as I did several years ago on my old 16 bit machine. My biggest gripe is that the game walks the fine line between excessively challenging and unenjoyably frustrating. What were the developers thinking? You can no longer toggle between weapons; rather whatever you pick up is what you shoot with. This wouldn't be a major issue if certain weapons weren't useless in certain situations. There are also no more bombs so you better pray you have quick reflexes to get you out of those super tight spots.Aside from the difficulty issue, the only other major flaw is the archaic password/save feature which is totally inconvinient for a portable game.Everything else is actually O.K.The game looks just like the old SNES version and has aged quite gracefully making for a really nice looking portable game.Controls are tight and alleviate some of the stress from the frantic learning curve. If your looking for an insanely hard shooting game (and I mean INSANELY HARD) for those long car rides, by all means Contra Advance is a perfect choice. For those looking for a game that is a little more enjoyable and rewards skill rather than luck, you should go somewhere else; and for the old Contra fans, pick it up used for some old thrills, then pull out your SNES and really put some time into the old game.

4-0 out of 5 stars 16 Bit Memory lane...
Contra Advance is a great title that is really much better than I anticipated it would be.At first glance, it seems like the SNES Contra III: Alien Wars, with levels from Hard Corps thrown in for good measure.Well, it is that, but I'm surprised at how well this conversion stacks up in today's age of 3D games. While this version has the SNES' overhead Mode 7 levels replaced with levels from the Genesis' Hard Corps game, it also has the restrictions of the GBA's smaller screen.Makes it a little tougher than the SNES version, as well as replacing the original's feature to have 2 different weapons with the ability to stay in one place and shoot in 8 directions or move and lock your line of fire in one.Better in some ways, but some will miss the 2 weapons feature. Also, music is of course not as good as the SNES version, but what GBA game has super music?

Graphics are identical to the original 16 bit titles, sound effects sound the same, but boss patterns have changed some. Also, because of screen size, there are some rather cheap deaths once in awhile.Surprisingly, this doesn't detract from the game at all.Plays as well as any Contra did.For a portable title, this game is excellent and it's goodness outshines any flaws.

5-0 out of 5 stars ROCKZ!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
THIS GAME IS SWEET!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!You can walk on foot shooting aliens,or robots or whatever,or you can get into jeeps or tanks and blow bad guys up.Though the sound is kinda bad the graphics are good for GBA and the gamplay...thegamplay is AWESOME!Also you can play with the GBA link cable in co-op with you friends ... Amazon.com Review

Dodge ball, the schoolyard sport in which kids bean each other withrubber balls thrown at welt-raising velocity, really is the sport of bullies.Thankfully, Super Dodge Ball Advance presents an experience in which thewelts aren't included, while lots of fun and laughs are.

The game features two teams of squat, cartoonish, big-headed kids. Some are onthe playing field and some reside in the back zone ready to scoot up a lob andnail an opponent in the back or from the side. The animations, particularly whena kid gets squashed, are amusing, and, after all, are also the point of thegame. Amass points and win the match, then move on to the next horde ofbig-headed kids.

There are several kinds of throws you can make to surprise your opponents, including a cool corkscrew throw and a straight-up overhanded bean ball. As youknock teams out (no pun intended), you advance toward the world competition(shades of South Park here), where you represent your favorite nation. You can also link up with an opponent for a little head-to-head action, which isthe best way to dish out some virtual pain onto local bullies who lack your madvideo gaming skills. --Andrew S. Bub

Pros:

  • It's virtual dodge ball! What's not to like?
  • It's one of the first sports games for the GBA
  • The graphics are perfect and the action is fast
Cons:
  • The sound is a little grating

4-0 out of 5 stars Awesome Game
Super Dodge Ball Advanced is a great game.In my opinion, its got lots of replay value.Sure, you can beat it in a half hour or less, but its a sports game, so you can keep playing. The graphics are average, but how good graphics do you need to play a dodge ball game anyway. The music is alright, but a little repetitive. The game can be either really hard or really easy and anything in between with the five difficulty settings and other settings too such as, how tough it is to throw a super throw. You can link up, but I never have so I couldn't tell you how fun that is.To sum it up here is a list of pros and cons.
PROS-
1. Good replay value
2. Multiple diffuclty settings
3. Average graphics
4. Appropriate for all ages, but then again, what isn't
5. Its dodgeball
6. Game Link compatible
7. You can name characters and teams even not your own
CONS-
1. Repetative music
2. Unlike the NES game, there isn't a bean ball mode(mode that pits you individually against your teammates on a field)
3. Also unlike the classic, there aren't any River City Ransom Graphics, instead people don't even have noses. If you never played River City Ransom, the old dodgeball game or World Cup just forget that con
4. There is no team creator, which really, really sucks. That also ruins the whole point of versus mode too because you both have the same premade teams with just possible name differences.
5. Too short of a game, needs more teams or something.

3-0 out of 5 stars Fun but shallow
This game is a blast but I must say its extremly shawdow.Fans of the old dodge ball game from an older nintendo system will probly love this game, I did but then I unlocked everything in a hour or so, sure there is more matches to play but its just a bunch of the same, I wore this game out in a day or two which is a shame because its a great game...just not enough substance.Get it if you pay $$$ or less definatly, think about it strongly otherwise.

3-0 out of 5 stars Fun at first, gets old
This Game has a lot of the same characteristics of the original for the Super NES, which will make older gamers happy. But the game play doesn't change enough for my taste.Even the indroduction of new, more powerful teams didn't peak my excitement. In my view, it's worth renting, but because a good gamer could beat it in a half hour, it's not worth buying.

5-0 out of 5 stars Dont You Remember This?
Wow a handheld version of the 80's nintendo sports game Super Dodge Ball i picked this game up and had a lot of fun very similar to the original NES platform version. As far as this being set in the near future this concept isnt anything new it was a sleeper game on NES and one of my favorites. Pick this game up for a good game for any age and if your not a sports fan, well why not get this one i mean hey who didnt have fun playing dodgeball at school? *cough*billgates*cough* ... 4-0 out of 5 stars This game sucks!!!
This game is way to hard! You dont get to fight at all.But there is this one part were this man will give you one of those things when you ask someone to shake your hand and they get shocked by the hand buzzer thats in your hand.Nobody shakes your hand when you ask them to on the game!!!It only works once on this man named Khan yhat wants to shake your hand before shooting you with his gun(He doesnt know you have a hand buzzer).Doent by this game!!!It really sucks!!!...

4-0 out of 5 stars Great adventure game. Great GBA game.Good Fun
Broken Sword is a standard "adventure" game (eg. myst) delivered to the GBA and they've done a fine job of it (with a few small exceptions).

As adventure games go this one is pretty straight forward and doesn't require a mensa membership to make significant progress. The bulk of the tasks in the game are not too hard to figure out, yet there are a few stumpers in there as well.

Gameplay is clear. You can move the main character around the current screen and either interact with other characters, manipulate objects, or go to other screens.

The GBA rendering is nice. There are some dialog scenes which are easy to speed through if you wish although you occasionaly get critical information via dialog. There is one scene in which having the sound turned up might provide some value.Towards the end of the adventure, gameplay is not just puzzles but also reacting quickly to events.

Some dislikes:
- The game is good in that you are stuck in an area until to you solve that local puzzle. There is a bug in the game in which you can go to Spain before Syria which will cause you to get stuck in a scene without enough artifacts to get yourself out.
- You can keep multiple games running but you have to go through some gyrations to copy games between the 3 memory areas.

This is a good game to play and will definitely keep you entertained. It is easy enough to keep you engaged but hard enough to make you work for it.

3-0 out of 5 stars i hate to rain on every1's parade but....
I didn't like this game as much as I thought I would. It was intresting enough but i beat it quickly with only a few problems(the thugs outside the hotel...and the hotel itself). Anyway it wasn't the worst i've played (if you've ever played mr.nuts you know what i mean). The graphics were great! I wasn't expecting that much on the graphic side. Anyways if you like games where you're fighting constantly then you won't like this game. Its nicely put together yet it wasn't as much fun as i thought. It requires a lot of thought; more than i wanted to put into it.

overall:
Graphics: 10/10
Gameplay: 7/10(no bugs:-) w/ little problems)
Fun:4/10
Storyline:9/10

in my opinion it was fair.

5-0 out of 5 stars Marvolous, Magnificent, Superb!- and thats just for starters
This is one of the best games I've ever played, surely the best GBA game ever. You are "George Stobbard", an American vacationing in Paris when you wittnes a bomb go off in a cafe. The plot really picks up when you discover that ring of assasins are tied into this, and a whole bunch of other neat stuff like scrolls and ancient goblets come into the picture. It's like Indiana Jones meets Dick Tracy.

The background is gorgeous, all hand drawn, the commentary is funny and witty, (press "B" on objects, some comments can be really hilarious like on the seats in the church in Paris)The plot can be surprisingly tense, and suspenseful, esspecially when you discover you can die, so save often.

If you liked this game, I'd definately suggest the book "Saving the Queen" by William F. Buckley, its just as good, but our hero is with the CIA and deals with some good old fashioned "Cold War" stuff, instead of Knights of the round table.Even if you don't read much or dissagree with WFB's politics, PLEASE READ!!! You don't know what your missing.

5-0 out of 5 stars You should DEFINANTLY buy this
this game is my favorite one out of all the ones I own (15) it has a great sense of mystery adventure and a bit of humor.worth the price buy this item!!! ... Read more

1-0 out of 5 stars Wow this is craptacularly awful...
If there's one thing I loathe it's not getting bang for my buck.I have to say I feel completely ripped off having purchased this game.I'm a big fan of NBA Jam and NBA Hangtime and I thought it would be cool to have this on my GameBoy Advance SP.The first time I fired it up I thought "This is awful."I put it away in disgust.I've since tried to play (and like) the game 2 more times but I am in awe at how gawd-awful the graphics and more important the gameplay is.And like another reviewer mentioned I bought this game because of the positive reviews posted here on Amazon.com.Methinks there're people with a wicked sense of humor who enjoy the company of misery or it's one of the marketing folks from the makers of this putrid NBA Jam 2002 "port" or whatever you want to call it.I would'nt even give this crapfest 1 star but I can't post this review unless I select a rating.I give it a " -1 star".You have been warned.

3-0 out of 5 stars Not fair!
Hey, I appreciate the effort of making an NBA game but it's not enough, there has to be more than one basketball game on GBA. I think that they should make NBA Showtime or NBA Street or NBA Live on GBA. These are some of the best basketball games on different systems. On N64, I loved NBA Showtime, I'm sure that there are many other people that want to see this game on GBA. On PS2, NBA Live and NBA Street are the best basketball game on the system. If I had the chance to make video games, I would make all of these game for GBA. If you think that I am right and want more basketball games on GBA, write reviews to tell them this!

1-0 out of 5 stars Junk!!!
Didn't have in stock, yet advertized for it

1-0 out of 5 stars Arrrrggg
This is definently THE WORST BASKETBALL GAME EVER!!!!You can't tell wich playor is wich, the play is SLOPPY,you can make a shot from anywhere not to mention you can get up to 9 points at mid court!

1-0 out of 5 stars DON'T WASTE YOUR MONEY
i really like basketball i have one for every system exept gameboy and gameboy advance i thought it would be cool but if you are the kind of person who wants a realist game this is not the one for you first of all you only get to use two players on the court the people can make a basket from anywere on the court just about all the time and the people jump to the celling and instead of stealing the ball they trip you or push youover but if you do not want a realist play agaist the rule games this may be the game for you ... 5-0 out of 5 stars tizight
This game is one of the best games I have ever played for gameboy advance. It so exciting when you get 1st place in one of the races. when I first got the game I didn't think I would like it but when I started playing I really got into the game.

4-0 out of 5 stars Fastpaced, but hasa few drawbccks.
I own this game and have raced all the tracks, but the problem i have is that, out of the five times i have beat the game, only 7 cars have opened up for racing. The game says there are 15 cars to chose from, but as you complete each race and come in first place, there are a few new cars that you have access to.My question is, how do you get the other cars to open? or are they really there? I have beat this game five times, and have gone back to each race to see ifthe other cars will be opened up, but no luck?

4-0 out of 5 stars Very Good!!!!
I bought the GBA last August when it first came out with the original GT Advance. The game was excellent except the password part. Now I tried GT Advance 2 and it was fun!!! No more annoying passwords, to save you use the Battery Save feature. Theres also a new feature that lets you listen to your co-driver as he navigates you through tough spots on a trail. This game is cool!!

5-0 out of 5 stars THIS GAME IS AWSOME.....well almost
If you are new in racing games this game will be very hard for you.
At first this game will be a bit boring because you will have to learn how to control the car but once you learn that this game will be a Perfect racer and you will love the high jumps you get when you go speeding off a hill. Another cool feature is the BATTERY SAVE, yep that's right NO MORE PASSWORDS!, but you have to remember to save the game after each race because this game has no AUTO SAVE and you will also have to remember about loading the game. Besides all of it's very small defects GT Advance 2 is a must have Racing game for your GBA

5-0 out of 5 stars awsome game

3-0 out of 5 stars Good, but FPW A was better
This is a very good game, but I'd recommend getting the first one for GBA instead. This one has done away with many of the features of the previous game, like tournament, league, and audience match. Now, in place of the audience match (career mode), they have a more traditional "fight your way through everyone" kind of career mode. The match types are the same (electricfied exploding cage, MMA, battle royal), but now without the tournament and league options. The roster is slightly updated, but not enough to matter (at least to me).So basically, this is a good game, but get the first one instead; it's better

4-0 out of 5 stars I love this Game
I bought this game before but I lost it but this game is still cool.

4-0 out of 5 stars A lot better than Road to Wrestle Mania for GBA.
This is without a shadow of a doubt the best wrestling game ever for GBA. This has every Organization from WWF,WCW,ECW,FMW,NJPW,AJPW,UFC,M-Pro and a lot more. It has almost every wrestler from U.S.A.'s Stone Cold Steve Austin,The Rock,Rob Van Dam,The Undertaker,Hulk Hogan,Goldberg to Japan's Great Muta,Jushin Lyger,Tiger Mask,Great Sesuke,Yuji Nagata,Hayabusa,Ultimo Dragon and a hell of a lot more. One new feature is a Biography section that is a key to help you to identify the wrestlers because they are given fake names because of copyright issues. To unlock all the hidden guys got to the EDIT menu, select EDIT Superstar

Go to the name entry

On the first line type ALL

on the line below type WRESTLERS

on the line next to it type CLEARED.
All of the hidden wrestlers should now be unlocked.

THis game is awesome. Unlike the first one, this has biographies of the wrestlers to help you identify them. You could beat Iron Man Road on all three difficulty settings to unlock hidden wrestlers but why bother when you could just go to the edit menu

Amazon.com Review

Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 2 doesn't look or play quite likeits other incarnations, but the amount of death-defying--or seriousinjury-defying--tricks you can pull off, and the wild level design, graphics, and responsive controls all work amazingly well for thehandheld.

With an overhead isometric view and its use of only four buttons, Hawkvets will need to readjust their attacks. Still, we were amazed by howmany tricks have been crammed into this cartridge. For the most part, the visuals are clear and detailed and the skaters are incredibly wellanimated.

Gameplay hasn't changed much. Initially, there are six levels available(more are unlocked as rewards). After picking a skater, you mustperform tricks and locate items to earn loot for buying new gear, whichwill enable you to improve your skater's stats and continue to the nextskate park. The game is sadly without some of the cooler features ofthe big consoles. For example, you cannot create parks or skaters, andmultiplay is sorely missed.

The feeling of accomplishment one gets when perfectly landing a stuntis just as satisfying on the GBA as it is on the PS One and Dreamcastversions. Even folks who don't like skateboarding games will thinkTony Hawk's Pro Skater 2 is a great (and addictive) achievementfor the handheld platform. --Mark Brooks

Pros:

  • Incredibly fluid and detailed graphics
  • Responsive controls
  • Many, many tricks
Cons:
  • Somewhat steep learning curve for all gamers, even Tony Hawk vets
  • Missing features of older versions, such as player and parkcreation
  • No multiplayer feature

5-0 out of 5 stars Tony Hawk 2
Though Tony Hawk's Pro Skater isn't new to the handheld market (it's been ported to the Game Boy Color in original and sequel forms), GBA developer Vicarious Visions has performed a stunning, overwhelmingly impressive job with a portable rendition of one of the best console games produced this decade. Though the game had to be scaled back for the system to handle, Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 2 on the Game Boy Advance is a true testament to the capabilities of the hardware, mirroring the outstanding gameplay of the original console design. Of all the titles that were produced for the Game Boy Advance's US launch, this game is the top of the heap...and it will most likely remain there for the rest of the year. Good? Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 2 is great.

Tony Hawk's Pro Skater is a fantastic game, and the Game Boy Advance version is no exception. It's one of those games where you can pop in, play a round for a few minutes before putting it away...which makes it perfect on the handheld. The Game Boy Advance version is also a technical marvel, providing the first true polygonal game on the system

5-0 out of 5 stars A Great game for all Skateboarders!
Tony Hawk hit the jackpot when he and Activision Software Company came out with Tony Hawk's Pro Skater. The sequel to the game was an even bigger hit, Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 2.The second game was different in some ways. There are more objectives to accomplish in order to get to the next level. The game has new features like new skaters and Park Editor.I played the game and beat within a couple of days.Every time I play the game I figure out something new, like hidden areas, different tricks, and how to score more points. It helped me when I was skateboarding in real life.I learned new tricks through seeing how they perform them.I would recommend this game to anyone who is a skateboarder or is thinking about skateboarding. If your just looking for a cool game, this is it.

Amazon.com Review

There was a point in time when baseball video games for the larger, morepowerful console systems made the jump from arcade action based loosely on thesport to more direct simulation. All-Star Baseball 2003 nearly makes thatleap for the Game Boy Advance--it's fun, good-looking, and you'll be surprisedat how much detail they've packed into the little cart.

If you've played any of theAll-Star Baseballgames for the consoles, you'll be familiar with the controls. The 3-Dbatting cursor, which tilts from left to right so you can pull the ball or slapit to the opposite field, is the same, though there's no hit-for-power option. The game also takes on the series' cumbersome baserunning controls. It'sdifficult to pull off a steal, but it can be done--which is better than on mosthandheld baseball games. One improvement is the tracking system for fielders, which draws a yellow dotted line between the fly ball and your outfielder. Thisis a big help, especially for such a small screen. There's also an auto-fieldingoption for those who would rather not bother.

The game gets a lot of mileage out of the GBA graphics thanks to some nice 2-Dbackdrops of all the MLB stadiums. Just don't expect Nomar Garciaparra's typicalantics in the batter's box or Jeff Nelson's sidearm delivery. You can play andsave full or half seasons--simulating any number of these games--or simply playa three-game series. The game even lets you manage your lineups for regular andinterleague play and set your pitching rotation.

The game suffers, however, from some poor timing. Like most ASB games, hittersare at a disadvantage, as the pitches come to the plate too quickly to get agood read on them. Also, throws are disproportionately faster thanbase runners--we were able to turn a double play before we even had the controlsdown, and numerous shallow outfield hits ended with our runner getting thrownout at first.

Overall, though, this is a great sports game for the GBA--a category that hasbeen poorly served for the unit in the past. --Porter B. Hall

Pros:

  • Great graphics
  • Full-season play with auto simulation
  • Team management functions, such as lineup cards and pitching rotations
Cons:
  • Cumbersome baserunning
  • Odd timing issues

2-0 out of 5 stars Not worth your money, unless you get it for $5
Graphics: The graphics are OK, except for one thing: Every player looks the same!(except for having different skin color)
The teams all have the same color, also.

Gameplay: Unless you put it on Hard (All-Star), the game is way to easy. If you tilt the batting target a certain way, you can get a hit 90% of the time. As for pitching, just pitch to a corner, and you'll get an out almost every time. Plus the baserunning is totally messed up.

Special Features: If you're getting this game for the special features in the console version, don't. There is no create-a-player, or Hall-of-Fame team. The only thing it has are trading cards, which serve no purpose.

BOTTOM LINE: Too easy, gets boring quickly, no good extras,
players and teams all look the same.

1-0 out of 5 stars Weak
I was really looking forward to playing this game, but it left me wanting more. The graphics are great, but it's extremely difficult to hit the ball, which other reviewers have pointed out as well. Sure, it's good to have a challenge, but this is just too difficult. The pitching and fielding is easy to master, but hitting--which in a video game is 95% of the fun--is just too damn hard. Save your money.

This should be picked up right now!!! I know the baserunning is a bit bad, but that's basically all of the flops. At the beginning you might think it's imossible to hit , but you just have to get used to it. And the fielding feature is a very to use.

Like Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 2, Tony Hawk 3 captures the look and feel of the big-console versions but transforms the concept into a third-person, mock 3-D game. This new incarnation keeps the original control scheme but brings in alternate career goals, new tricks (including the revert), and changing environments--they even include pedestrians--across seven global locations. Unlike the last game, however, this version allows players to link up for such multiplayer games as Trick Attack, Graffiti, HORSE, and Tag (one copy of the game per GBA unit and link cable is required). The roster of skaters features Tony Hawk, Elissa Steamer, Jamie Thomas, Rodney Mullen, Eric Koston, Chad Muska, Kareem Campbell, Steve Caballero, Andrew Reynolds, Rune Glifberg, Geoff Rowley, Bam Margera, and Bucky Lasek. ... 5-0 out of 5 stars Excellent game!
In the best skating game on the gba, Ride as 13 top skateboarders, including Tony Hawk, as you pull off tons of tricks & combos in obstacle-filled environments. There are many different tricks so this isn't an easy game to master.
You can play in career mode, where you choose a character to do a certain amount of goals to beat the player's career, such as collecting the letters "S-K-A-T-E" scattered in each course. Once you complete a player's career, then try to complete all the goals to unlock another career slightly harder then the first one. Try to beat both careers on each player to unlock another course.
You can also play in free skate, which is just practicing. You can also play the tutorial where it teaches you the basic tricks.
You can also play 2 player mode, where you and a friend will link up and compete in several different events such as who can get the highest score.
The graphics and gameplay are great, and this game is tons of fun and filled with easy and challenging goals.

4-0 out of 5 stars Trade?

5-0 out of 5 stars Go Tony Hawk!
Okay, I'm going to try to explain this as calmly as possible. BUY THIS GAME!!!!!!!!! The levels are fun, the goals are challenging, but not impossible,(just the way I like em'!)the controls are easy to get used to,and the replay value is insane! I have at least 20 GBA games, but this is the topper! The only problem I have is the graphics. They're Not exactly great.

Gameplay: 5/5. There are 6 main levels of gameplay. Four are just goals, two are contests. There is one goal that confused me, in the suburbia level. WARNING: SPOILERS AHEAD! It Was the find the secretTape. To do this, I thought that you had to get on top of the thin man's house. But you have to grind the house northeast of it. To do this, go into the northwest pool. Jump out of the North side, then grind the long red rail eastward. Jump constantly, or you'll lose your balance. Keep doing that. After a few seconds, you'll be grinding ona shed. Jump off it, grind the fence, and you'll have the secret tape! This next one had a much simpler Solution. Get a score of 300,000 in the LA level. To do this, simply grind the four trees near the beginning. You'll have the score in no time! Well, anyway, the gameplay is by far the best in any GBA game!

Replay Value: 5/5I've had this for almost a year, and I still play it nonstop! I'm not the least bit tired of it!

Controls: 5/5 When I first got this game, the controls were VERY difficult to get used to. It'll take some practice. But once you have it down pat, You'll agree that they are very comfortable.

Graphics: 2/5 Not much to say. They're horrible. I'll just leave it at that.

Like I said before, BUY THIS GAME! Despite the horrendus(I hope I spelled that right)graphics, you'll be in for endless hours of fun!

4-0 out of 5 stars Just like the PS version, only smaller
Over the past three years, Activision's Tony Hawk franchise has consistently proven to be one of the best action sports series on every platform it has appeared on, which currently tallies up to eight, and each sequel has been different enough and fun enough to keep bringing players back for more. Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 3 is no exception and is probably the only Game Boy Advance game to truly usurp Tony Hawk 2. Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 3 plays just how you'd expect Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 3 to play, albeit from an isometric perspective. In the single-player mode, you'll skate around different locations, completing various objectives to progress to the next level. You're given a choice of 13 real-life pro skaters, and there is also a create-a-skater option, which lets you alter the skin tone, shirt, pants, shoes, and tattoos of your skater. The objectives you'll have to complete include three different score objectives, as well as collect letters to spell the word "skate," find a hidden tape, and meet a slew of level-specific goals that range from delivering airline tickets to a family in the Airport level to grinding specific rails in the LA level, which triggers an earthquake and changes the terrain of the level. There's actually a fair amount of level interaction like this in Tony Hawk 3, though it isn't quite as deep as that found in the console versions of Tony Hawk 3. What it does offer makes the gameplay experience a bit more enjoyable. Out of the six levels in the game, two of them are competition levels, in which the objective is to score as many points as you can with as few bails as possible in the allotted time limit. The gameplay is essentially identical to that of Tony Hawk 2 for the GBA, though there have been a few noteworthy changes. The default control configuration assigns nollies and flip tricks to the left shoulder button, grinds to the A button, jumps to the B button, and grab tricks and the revert to the right shoulder button, but it can be customized to your liking. Yes, Tony Hawk 3 features the revert, a handy maneuver used to integrate vert tricks into the middle of combos. Unlike Tony Hawk 2 for the GBA, Tony Hawk 3 has four different multiplayer modes. Horse, the game in which each player attempts to match the previous player's trick, can be played with up to four players using a single GBA. The three link cable modes are trick attack, tag, and king of the hill. Trick attack is a simple score-based competition, while tag and king of the hill are essentially reversed versions of the same game, in which players either try to stay away from the skater who's "it" or take the crown away from the skater who's the "king." Multiplayer games have always been a staple of the Tony Hawk franchise, and the modes included here are just as fun and playable as in any other incarnations of Tony Hawk.
Tony Hawk 2 still stands as one of the sharpest-looking games for the GBA, and Tony Hawk 3 improves upon it. The game is viewed from an isometric perspective, giving you a wide overview of the level around you. The skaters are 3D polygonal models that are expertly animated and represent their console counterparts beautifully. And while the skater models in Tony Hawk 2 were textured with flat colors, in Tony Hawk 3, they have simple but effective textures that bring them just a bit closer to replicating the real thing. The levels also look great, though the isometric perspective can still sometimes be cumbersome. Vicarious Visions has smoothed out the formula a bit since Tony Hawk 2, so the view doesn't create quite as many frustrating moments. Vicarious Visions has also done a great job of re-creating the sounds of Tony Hawk on the Game Boy Advance. All the skate sounds, from your trucks grinding a rail to the roll of your wheels over concrete, have been sampled directly from the console versions, and all the effects sound sharp. The game features a soundtrack of digital renditions of numerous songs from the Tony Hawk 3 soundtrack, though the selections are almost entirely guitar-based songs, making the soundtrack slightly less appealing if you don't like rock. The tracks are surprisingly true to the source material, but some get a bit muddled in the translation. With the great impression that Tony Hawk 2 for the GBA made on many gamers, Vicarious Visions could have easily just thrown the Tony Hawk 3 levels into the same exact game and still have a quality title. Instead, it went the extra mile and included an improved trick system, improved graphics, multiplayer support, and a create-a-skater mode, creating an exceptional game and maintaining the Tony Hawk tradition of perpetually creating better games. Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 2 used to be the must-own action sports game for the Game Boy Advance. Meet the new titleholder.

4-0 out of 5 stars Not bad for a GBA game
May I start off by saying that this is a very good rendetion of the classic Sega Genesis games of yester-year. The graphics and sound are alike and the same, which is not a bad thing. All in all this is a very fun game to play but only for the casual gamer on the go. I don't recomend this game to hardcore gamers who enjoy depth to their game but to the casual on the go gamer. The new version of Madden comes this year with over 150 plays to choose from and many different features taken from the older games. For instance, you can create your own player and instead of using a point system to build his stats, you must take your newly created player and train him in around five different tests to find out his skill level. Do good and ur traded to that team, do bad and well, lets just say you should start over and try again. Madden 2003 is a very good portable tried and true game of football for the casual on the go gamer and for someone who just wants to waist an hour or two on the plane. Overall I rate this game a four out of five stars mainly because it is and "rerelease" of the Sega Genesis madden of yester-year. Buy this game for the fun factor not the depth of it.

2-0 out of 5 stars this is a poor excuse for a madden game
I hate this game and if your a madden freak you might get it for
colletion but not for fun.it:boring,no fun at all.but all in all
the best thing is the create-a-player thats it.If you know madden
,this madden game looks like madden 1996 on SNES.i am going to tell you the pro's and con's for you can understand.
PRO'S:Create-a-player is great but not that all great
Got all teams even all madden
but i got to give them credict..they try to give them a cool inzone dane
its got link play action..2p action
CON'S:game play sucks like hell...thats right i said hell
i told you about the grahics it look like 1996 madden
gets boring real quick i..mean quick

well thats all about this stupid game.Im telling the truth i got
this game by mistake..i well speak the truth.

2-0 out of 5 stars Waste of Money..
I was really looking forward to play this game, but I am really disappointed now. First, I personally do not like Madden-style up and down field mode. Nonetheless, I'm glad I only paid $ for this game.
PS I would really want to see Tecmo bring back Tecmo Super Bowl (SNES Version) to Gameboy Advance. Tecmo Super Bowl is the best football game ever!

2-0 out of 5 stars Decent Football Game But Is a Real Disapointment.
I have bought every single Madden game dating back to Madden 2001 for the N64. Now I know it isn't fair to compare GBA games to high-powered systems like the Xbox. So I won't. I bought this game thinking I was going to get a pretty good football game for my GBA. Well, after experiencing what this game has to offer, I may never buy another Madden game for the GBA. The sound is crisp but only plays one song, Andrew W.K. Party Hard. The controls are decent, the graphics are a real letdown compared to what EA did with the NHL 2002 for the GBA, and the replayability is only there if you wish to play as another team, because the schedule is the same when you start a new season. The playoff mode will provide some replayability, but like the season mode, after a while, you just won't want to play it again. The real big problem I have about this game is that you cannot run worth beans and most passing plays are decent. I found a passing play that worked for me 96% of the time, and everytime it was completed, my receiver would run in the length of the field for a touchdown. So the A.I. is a REAL drawback to this game. Plus you can rack up the score real easily in this game. It would be nice if the schedule could change after each season. NHL 2002 is a much bigger game, as far as to develop, than Madden was. You would think that they would be able to easily squeeze in a chip that would change the schedules!

Overall: Madden 2003 for the GBA is the best footbal game out there for the GBA system. But the system's graphics, A.I., and consistant schedule make the game a bad experience compared to what EA has done with the NHL franchise for the GBA. Hopefully they can have better graphics, better A.I., better running, passing and defense abilities, more modes of play, and a chip that can change the schedule after you play a season. Oh yeah, did I mention that the creat-a-player was the worst?

5-0 out of 5 stars Madden 2003 is Great
Since I don't play sport games on other systems I thought since I love football(Go Houston Texans) I purchased Madden 2003 for GBA. I had a blast playing. There ARE TONS OF PLAYS Its about 85% real. You can either playexhibition game or season or playoffs. This is my first Madden game let alone football gaame. When you do exhibition game you can choose where to play and the wheater (snow, fair, rain, windy) I hope you liked this review. ... Read more

1-0 out of 5 stars Don't waste your money!!!
This game in no way compares to the PC versions. It stinks!!! The game is disorienting to play. The cars are difficult to control. The view is only from above and the graphics are very bad. My son says it is the worst game he has ever played. He says he would rather play his little sister's Elmo's World Game than this. This comment comming from a diehard Nascar Heat for our PC enthusiast.

2-0 out of 5 stars Not like racing?more like slot cars
I must agree with ramair350's review.I was expecting it to be a handheld version of what I play on my laptop (Nascar 2002) or Playstation 2 (Nascar Thunder), sitting behind the wheel or just above and behind, getting a real sensation of racing a stock car and being a part of the race. This GameBoy Advance version is like an animated version of my old HO scale slot car racing and very disorienting to try and control the car. What a waste of money!

2-0 out of 5 stars Decided to sell it after about 2 races
I just didn't like the game.I bought it on impulse, without realizing that the perspective wasn't 3D (I was expecting the "drivers perspective" view). And I didn't even enjoy playing it from the isometric/"above" view (which I loved the old Nintendo RC Pro/Am racing, by the way).

This might be the game for some people, but not for me.Check out the screen shots before purchasing!

5-0 out of 5 stars NASCAR At Its Best!
Nascar Heat 2002 is the most complex racing game on Game Boy Advance. The game contains 12 race tracks including Daytona 500, Pepsi 400, Phoenix International Raceway, etc. with exceptional graphics, beautiful course details, and realistic life-like features such as day, night, rain, snow, etc. You can choose the weather and other features in Option mode, along with sound effects, number of laps, and music volume. Here are some of the other modes you can choose from:

Arcade: This is a full season mode for beginners that can build their racing skills to the maximum. Plus you can focus on certain courses that give you trouble as well as mastering turns and other obstacles.

Time Trial: This is where you are alone on the track to race for the best time possible with any of the 24 different drivers in this game. Drivers include Jeff Gordon, Tony Stewart, Dale Jarrett, and other top Winston Cup racers.

Career: This mode is where you can race on all 12 tracks and earn Winston Cup points based on your performance. Lots of points will earn you a top spot on the leaderboard but several poor performances will lead to you get booted of the circuit.

Beat the Heat: This mode offers 16 race challenges that are designed by top NASCAR drivers. Challenges include completing a race in a certain amount of time, pasting a certain amount of drivers in a lap, and making sharp turns without getting a scratch on your car.

Single Race: This mode is perfect if you don't have the time to race the whole circuit. Pick any of the 12 courses with as many laps as you desire.

Multiplayer: This games multiplayer mode is one of the best for any game. Race with as many as 4 people using only one game pack to play Single Race, or with multiple packs you can compete against your friends in either Career Mode or Beat the Heat. ... Read more

1-0 out of 5 stars Uncrazy Taxi
Crazy Taxi without buildings or anything else of intrest.
Bad steering too.

2-0 out of 5 stars Don't expect too much
If you are a big fan of Smugglers Run for the PS2 and I am, don't expect the GBA version to be even close. The idea of the game is the same, but the graphics are choppy and weak. Colliding with other cars and items such as trees and rocks ruin the experience by making you lose total control or making you come to a complete stop. I was especially disappointed with how easy this game was to complete, there really was no challenge at all. There is no option to complete against other drivers, and the whole Smugglers Run feel is just not there. I would suggest somehow renting or borrowing this game before you buy to make sure it is what you want.

2-0 out of 5 stars Step away from the vehicle, and this game
You may remember the original Smuggler's Run as one of the PS2's early launch titles that was by no means excellent, but was a lot of fun nonetheless.Since it had a loyal following, and with the recent wave of GBA ports, a GBA conversion was inevitable. This GBA version of Smuggler's Run does not invoke the same type of fun the PS2 version did which was expected, but the overall game feels unpolished due to the tedious missions, poor collision detection, and pop up galore. The graphics are pretty good for the most part, but the pop up trees, rocks, and hills nearly ruin the experience. The lack of options in the game (there's not even a multiplayer mode) really hurts the game as well. All in all, Smuggler's Run pales in every aspect to any other port of the game, but it is a less than half decent game that you might get a bit (and a small one at that) of fun out of.

5-0 out of 5 stars awesome game
this game is awesome fast moving and good just like it is for PS2

1-0 out of 5 stars poor track record
Judging from Destination's port of "Midnight Club Street Racing," this will probably be another bad game.In fact Midnight Club for the GBA is one of the worst games I've ever played, while the PS2 version was fine.I can only imagine Destination is going to insult another fine PS2 title and rob us of precious dough. ... 5-0 out of 5 stars My Opinion on Baseball Advance
If you are looking for a good baseball game on the Game Boy Advance, this is the only one. You just can't make a better game than this. The graphics are incredible: the batters, pitchers, and fielders look like real MLB players. Though the game is very easy at some points in the game, it is very hard in late game situations. The game was made in 2001, and it is still better than games they make today. It is probably the best 10 or 20 dollars you can spend. The game is incredibly addicting, me and my friend played 80 games in a few days. The game features wall scaling grabs, bang-bang plays, and all 30 major league teams. It has four modes, Rookie, Veteran, All-Star, and Legend. Rookie is very easy, Veteran is a step up but is still not a challenge, All-Star is a little tougher, and Legend is almost impossible. Don't fall for the dumb-ass phony crap they sell in stores. If you are going to buy a video game, there is no question that you shouldn't buy this one. Get out that credit card and buy the game.

5-0 out of 5 stars The REAL Deal!!
This Is an Awesome Game! Its A Must Have For Baseball Gamers. This Game Is So Simple Yet So Real! It Has Very Very Few Flaws. Very Entertaining. GREAT GAME!!

5-0 out of 5 stars Great game
This is a really fun game.I can't recommend it highly enough. It has levels for everyone.Besides 4 skill levels, it has pick and choose features like automatic fielding and automatic running. You can make the game as easy or hard as you want. The screen is well lit, and you can see without eye strain in average lighting.Although I have yet to see a magnifier that worked worth a hoot, you don't need one on this game. The graphics are clean, clear, and fairly large all things considered. If you buy only one Baseball for the GBA, make it this one, you'll like it.

4-0 out of 5 stars Solid ballgame
Baseball advance is a good baseball game for the GBA. The charactersare large and detailed. In addition, the batting and pitching aspects of the game are easy to use. However, the rosters are outdated and there is only 4 ballparks to play in. The cartridge saves all the stats for your roster and allows you to view updated top stat rankings in the league. It could have used an option to simulate the games you didn't want to play. Instead, you have to play every game in the season.

5-0 out of 5 stars hottest game on the market!!
I can't say enough about Baseball Advanced! I love the graphics and sound. I am a Cleavland Indians fan and I like that you can play with Jim Thome and my favorite player Kenny Lofton. I like the levels rookie,veteran,all-star and legend. The only bad thing is there are only 4 parks to play at. I love the game and still play it after a year! ... Read more

5-0 out of 5 stars GBA Case
This case is really nice for a GBA,and it holds a ton of games. But I got a cobalt GBA SP (awsome!) for Xmas and i didnt have another case.I havent got another case yet,so this carries a GBA,a GBA SP,instruction books,earphones,6 GBA games and 2 GBC games. So all in all,it can hold alot of stuff.

3-0 out of 5 stars This is an ok case.
This is not the best gameboy advanced case, but it is ok. The string does break off very quickely and it does not hold that many games and it is ver big and bulky.

3-0 out of 5 stars Not the best case

5-0 out of 5 stars Case
Really good, can hold around 10 games, even more with GBA SP. Can strap to belt or pack, or fling the longer clip rope over sholder.
Top area unzips and front sticks together and is slightly smaller.
The best case I have had.

4-0 out of 5 stars Good For Gamboy Advance but NOT Gameboy Advance SP
This is a very good small carrying case for the Gameboy Advance. The case is divided into two compartments. The front pocket, for the actual Gameboy Advance and the back compartment, for your games or accessories. The front pocket is a tight fit with a soft padded lining. The easily scratched Gameboy Advance screen is well protected and the tight fit means no extra travel against the fabric. The back compartment is roomy enough for several games and even a Worm Light. I have my Gameboy Advance games in protective containers and easily fit six games in the back pocket, with some room to spare. My Worm Light sits on top of the games and the pocket zips shut without any problems. As far as needing extra storage for things like cables, well, I've found that there's a way around this and I'll mention it below. Cases are for carrying and this case comes with a hand strap and a longer lanyard-type strap. Both are removable and functionable (though be warned, getting them on is somewhat difficult). On the back of the case are two velcro straps, for securing your case to a belt. What I've done is used these straps to secure my cables to the outside of the case. This leaves the cables exposed but they're still with my unit and portable. All in all, this is a very good case. Please note however, with the new Gameboy Advance SP - the new style will NOT fit in this case. The new square design is too different from the original Gameboy Advance. Please be aware. ... 5-0 out of 5 stars The Best Game Boy Case Around
This GBA Case is the best case I've seen for GBA or any other Game Boy system.I use mine to carry my Game Boy Advance when I travel and when I'm at home just to protect my GBA and to keep everything in one place.I keep my Game Boy Advance, 8 games in Nyko sleeve protectors, a worm light and earbud headphones (that came with the original Game Boy) in the case. That is about all it can hold.It might be able to hold slightly more, but I don't want to cram stuff in it.I love this case because I can keep things nice and organized in it.Another important feature of it is that it protects the fragile GBA screen from scratches and dust.Grab one of these to keep your Game Boy Advance in!

5-0 out of 5 stars it rocks!
This case is the best carring case nintendo ever made for any kind of a gameboy. In mine I can hold my GBA, 9 games in nyko protective cases, wormlight advance,my gameboy camera and my link cable. As you can tell it holds a lot for looking as small as it is. I would recommend this to everyone!

5-0 out of 5 stars Great for holding GBA, games and accesories
This is a wonderful case for both the GBA and GBC systems. This is how much I could get to fit for each:

GBA:
-GBA system
-9 GBA games
-UFO light for GBA
-link cable

GBC:
-GBC system
-4 GBC games
-Worm light for GBC
-link cable

So, the GBA case works great for both systems (GBA and GBC).

5-0 out of 5 stars Good Case
This case is great for everything that i can think of holding!!!!! it holds my gba, my link cable, 8 games, my ear phones, and wormlight. Its a great case!!!!

1-0 out of 5 stars too small
when i first bought my gba i figured it would be a good idea to buy a case to hold all my stuff so i bought this one. At first it was great. Of course i only had two games and the gba. then i bought more stuff and now i can barely fit anything in so i have to buy a bigger case to hold all my stuff. ye its convinient to have a separate compartment for the gba but the other part is just way too small and there isn't nearly enough space to hold all my stuff. if u only want to be able to hold about four games this would be a great case for u but ...there just isn't enough room for all my stuff. i don't recomend at all!!!! ... 3-0 out of 5 stars The smart solution for the transport and protection!!
Simple and cool product. The right solution that protects my Gameboy Advance of falls and scratches. It comes in many colours depending of yours. Product comes perfectly sealed from factory.

1-0 out of 5 stars You need more space!
When I first got my GBA It was OK. I didn't have many games so it worked out. But know that I have several games its packed and i can't fit any thing else into it.If you put it in the wrong way it scratches your screenIf you have tons of games this isn't for you.

4-0 out of 5 stars Great portable case!
The case will keep your Game Boy Advance safe, protect its screen, and store games and other equipment. It is a good size, and you can carry it anywhere. It is great for trips and traveling, and helps you keep your games and other items for your Game Boy Advance safe and helps you not to lose it with the rest of your packed items.
Pros:
1) Portable---w/strap
2) Can protect items
3) Organizes games
4) Helps keep games from getting lost (since they are tiny)
Cons:
1) A little too small for some
2) Cannot store battery packs

5-0 out of 5 stars Great Case
It is small, and fits a good amount of things in it. I am going on a summer trip, and I wanted to find a good case to hold my GBA so I won't lose my games or my gameboy. My little brothers friend got this case (in a different color) and it was great looking and he loved it. The case fits the GBA and protects the screen from getting scratched or broken. The case also protects 8 of my GBA games, and stores them so they won't get lost. However, if you have a lot of items, such as multiple GBAs or GBs, or bulky items, such as the recharging battery pack (20 or 15 hr.), I suggest you store it elsewhere.

5-0 out of 5 stars Awesome case
This case is perfect for me. It holds my GBA, light, and my games, and it is extremely small. I can put it in my backpack so I can play it on the bus to school. The size is very conveneint because you can carry it pretty much everywhere. If you are looking for a compact case, this is the one for you. ... Read more
