1-0 out of 5 stars ...
Don't be fooled like I was. This is not the full version of TRIII.It is actually more of a demo.It only contains the 4 India levels.Once you complete them, game over.I guess the price should have been a clue, but I figured that it was priced low simply because the game is several years old. There is nothing else to clue you in to this abbreviated version if you're new to the TR series. They should at least tell you its a demo and not the full version of TRIII.

4-0 out of 5 stars I have a love-hate relationship with TombRaider Designers
I would've been totally lost without finding cheat sheets on the net. The games come with absolutely NO instructions. I enjoyed the adventures immensely, but the puzzles are just too damned difficult. It will clearly revolt half of the players. I nearly destroyed my computer in rage, but eventually moved on... At points, it's a lot of fun to play. The puzzles ruin the fun of the game... Excellent graphics. Makes you feel like you're the one going through the adventure. Reccommended for anyone who can control their temper...

5-0 out of 5 stars Great buy - TR3 Jewel Case
I stumbled upon this demo disk in Office Max and there was one copy left. I'm here to say it was a great buy, a definate better buy than the TRII demo disk was. This disk comes with three full TR3 levels along with thetraining level of Lara's House (I think that's a must-have, it's kinda funto practice dives in the pool and take the quad-bike out for a spin) PLUS aboss level. And to top it all off, they give you some of the game'sanimations which tell some of the story about the game. If you are a casualgamer as I am, you for sure will enjoy this! ... Read more

Actually I liked vol 1 better I thought 2 was very simalair to alot of other games out there.

4-0 out of 5 stars Helped Me Curb My Heart Ache
Until I found games like Alchemy and Atomica (which is the main games that come with this pack) I was forced to a life of trying to attain women I could never have. After all my failed attempts of showering them with anonymous gifts and heartfelt speeches of how much I loved them I felt that life had no meaning.Oh the heartache that would come when I would get turned down.I almost thought that life would never be worth living until I found these two extremely intelligent, strategy-based games. Now I spend my free time trying to attain a higher score, always attempting to beat my personal best scores.

Alchemy is a game where you turn floor tiles into gold by means of connecting a string of magical runes in a special way.I felt I had a better understanding of the black arts of magic that has died oh so long ago since the days of Lore. This game has inspired me to start dressing up as a wizard on a regular basis and I have even made similar looking runes as the ones shown in the game.

Atomica is a game where you must clear your area of atoms by combining similar atoms together.I feel I now have a better understanding of the science that runs our universe since I have played this game. ... Read more

5-0 out of 5 stars I love you, Lara!
This is somewhat outdated but is the best in the moderate Tomb Raider series. It is isolated from the other games in that it causes little frustration through jumping puzzles and famous spike traps.Instead, it is more of a shoot-em-up (bang on my kind of game).

PROS:Before considering the gameplay or graphics, I will make a point that Lara really is hot!Her model is lovely ...
The gameplay is where this beauty of a game shines. The engine has been updated and handles the game brilliantly.Additionally, Lara can pilot a multitude of vehicles, such as a speedboat, a snowmobile, etc...The snowmobile is even fitted with machine guns that truly rips baddies up!

The graphics was good in the game's time, but has become severely outdated since then.It is still good enough to allow me to want to play this again and again.Still, it will work on extremely low-spec machines (such as those from five or six years ago).

Til now, I have not mentioned the game's plot.It involves a simple race for an artifact, the Dagger of Xian.According to legend, it gives the holder the power of a dragon.Of course, if you know anything about Lara Croft, you will know that she wants it on display somewhere inside her home, the Croft mansion.Lara's adversaries include thugs, skilled snipers, intelligent mercenaries and these are also searching for the dagger. She will also battle ferocious beasts, monsters and finally the dragon, the guardian of the dagger.Such enemies are spread nicely through a variety of tombs and exotic locales.Lara will visit Venice, a floating island, the Himilayan mountains and finally the Dragon's Lair.

CONS:There are so few bugs or problems with the game that they are not worth a mention.

FINAL VERDICT:This is one of the finest games of all time, though it is just beaten by the recent Indiana Jones and the Emperor's Tomb.If you like games and/or girls this is the game for you.Buy now and have fun with Lara!

4-0 out of 5 stars Fun!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!1
What can I say this is a fun demo. This contains the first 3 levels from the game and comes with tomb raider 3 demo final fantasy 7 and many more. This game does not have the tutorial cutscenes and options but it has the secrets and weapons of the real game. I give this four stars because it doesn't have options cut-scenes and others but thats okay it is still fun. By the way you cannot download these three levels online, only a bit of the first.

1-0 out of 5 stars What the? Distribution Fluke?
I got this for a gift becausemy parents were tricked into thinking this was the full game, as many people are, i'm sure. Whoever distributes this has got to make clear on THE BOX that this is not the full version. The version I got came in a full sized software box and cost as much as a two year old FULL game, considering how fastgames improve. Even if I was buying amd I knew it was a demo I would notpay more than a few dollars because it has no options,(anyways, if you wanta DEMO, you can get them free off the internet, usually from thedistributors web site.) such as to change the controls, or even see whatthe controls are!

2-0 out of 5 stars Don't Do It...
I bought this on accident. I thought I was buying the TRIIgame, so I just want to make sure you don't make the same mistake. Itdoes contain 3 levels from the real TRII game, but not with all functions that the game offers.ie, video clips. If you are looking for something to cheaply show you how TRII works, then buy it. But if you are going to spend the money, you might as well just buy the real game and truly enjoy your purchase.END ... Read more

The MechWarrior 4 'Mech paks expand gameplay for the bestselling and award-winning MechWarrior 4: Vengeance, based on the popular game of mechanized combat from FASA Studios. Each pak gives players new 'Mechs, a new electronics package, a new weapon, and a multiplayer map. Cyberlore, the team behind the successful MechWarrior 4: Black Knight expansion, developed the paks in conjunction with the FASA MechWarrior 4 team.

The Clan 'Mech pak contains the following four 'Mechs:

  • Masakari: Easily identified by its squat torso, jutting head, and broad chest, this 'Mech has become notorious for its deadly accuracy (85 tons)
  • Kodiak: A large, fast-moving Assault 'Mech that carries impressive medium-range firepower (100 tons)
  • Arctic Wolf: Loaded with SRMs, this BattleMech can rapidly close with an enemy and shower it with more than 40 missiles (40 tons)
  • Cauldron-Born: Named for the unstoppable zombies of Irish myth, this 'Mech can take immense damage and remain operational (65 tons)

1-0 out of 5 stars Connectivity lost
The patch included in the pack renders the game unable to connect through a router. All multiplayer ability was lost, even behind the router. The same goes for the Inner Sphere pack.

5-0 out of 5 stars Awesome!
This is an "expansion" to the game Mechwarrior 4: Vengeance. MW4 is an awesome game. great graphics, and you can play online with other people. I like this game alot. In this pack you get 4 new mechs, some new maps, and some new other stuff. If you like the Mechwarrior Series, you'll like this.

5-0 out of 5 stars 2 new mechs and 2 forgotten mechs
For any of you who have the original Mechwarrior 2, do you remember the Warhawk?I do.This mech (the Masakari) held the back them very slow PPC.It's back, jack.I don't think it's in any other mech game, maybe MComm.

1. Arctic Wolf (4/5): Speedy little devil. The 6 CSTRK's reload fast and pack a minor punch.

2. Cauldron-Born (5/5): Not seen in the Mech lab since 1998.Rather quick for 65 tons.2 Clan LBX AC 10 are the best.

3. Kodiak (4/5): Holds 18 tons of armor for a 100 ton mech.CMRM 40, watch out, no lock on.

4. Masakari (5/5): Best varity of weapons out there.

Buy this all you crazy mech fans, BUY IT NOW!!

5-0 out of 5 stars Essential for online gaming.
The mech paks (CLAN and IS) are essential for online gaming.
If you are a MW fan, these are required!I have no problem with the spyware. It's more copy protection than spyware. My spyware software has no problem with it.

1-0 out of 5 stars Beware of Spyware
While I enjoyed the added mechs, this software and its counterpart innersphere contain the C-Dilla spyware. The Black Knight expansion pack also contains it.This is a copywrite protection program that installs on your machine and does not shut down after you exit the game.TurboTax also installs the program and the only way to remove it is to download and run the safecast uninstaller program from the intuit website.Including this program was a terrible thing for Microsoft to do, especially since it does not disclose the fact at any time. ... 5-0 out of 5 stars Great Game!!!!
great game.....its really fun to play this game with other people on Gamespy...because you can meet people from other parts of the world who love to play the same game as you do.....its a must buy...Bought it for 11 dollars tho...just don't play with the PC alone....that's boring no matter how the game creator made it....

2-0 out of 5 stars this game cheats
While this game is top of the line fun when playing other people, I'd have to recommend not playing against the computer. While playing the AI, my friends and I have noticed that the game cheats incessantly. The game allows the AI to build on your turn, but you cannot build on theirs, It almost never lands on my property, but I land on it's almost every go-around. the game allows the CPU to buy land (both for sale and on auction) even though it has NO cash and it offers outrageous trades. For example: I offered to trade the computer property for property giving us both monopolies. It countered by asking for ALL of my properties, save the one monopoly I was trying to get, like 8 in all and over $750 for the one property I wanted. It does this throughout the entire game making trading impossible and the game rendered impossible to beat if it allows no one to aquire a monopoly. The voices on the game get very annoying after a few minutes and the camera angles could use help. But in a multiplayer game it is much more fun, utilizing fully customizable gameplay options and different boards to play on... it's worth it if you have someone to play with. If not... look elsewhere

1-0 out of 5 stars Cheating Ruins the Game
All in all, there is actually very little to praise in Monopoly 3.The music is dull and after a few minutes begins to grate. The voices are annoying from the very start. The game, as noted in other reviews, cheats incessantly; making it a game not worth having.

The only reason to actually own this game is to play online with others. If you won't be doing that, and will only be playing against the computer, don't bother. The game cheats to the point of absolute frustration.

4-0 out of 5 stars Good game with minor issues
Monopoly is a classic boardgame, and most families will have played the game and probably had plenty of fun. Monopoly 3 takes this to a new level.
The game is very easy to get to grips with: with the interface you can't really go wrong. With a large choice of different boards and many different game option, the game is customisable and therefore you can tweak the setting to exactly how you like them, which I admire.
The computer do appear to cheat with the dice rolls, but often this can't be noticed . The soundtracks can be funny and add a bit of atmosphere, but are mostly repetitive after the first couple of games.
The only real complaints I have with this game is the cheating, and the camera view: When you want to trade, for example, the camera will only zoom in on the centre of the board, so you can't actually see the prices.

Overall: If you have played Monopoly before and liked it, then this is definitely worth considering, although earlier free version could probably be given just as much thought.

3-0 out of 5 stars A Great Game For Those Who Loved The Original
What board game could be more American classic than monopoly? And MONOPOLY 3 brings it to your pc! No more playing alone as 3 different players for days and days (yes...I did this as a child, before the age of technology). There are cute graphics and animations, nice sound effects and voices (albeit a bit repetitious after hours of play), options galore that allow you to play with all sorts of different rules and with the Monopoly city versions of 10 cities (where the street names are names of places in that city etc). Basically if you loved Monopoly you will find this a good replacement to whining on your friends to play with you. But it does only seem to appeal to lovers of the game. Not to mention that there are issues with the game "cheating", and doesn't allow for different levels of difficulty. I believe the patch sorts some of these issues out, and they are eliminated completely when you play over the net. That's the real fun - playing with other Monopoly fanatics ;).
Despite a lot of bad reviews on Amazon, I find myself enjoying Monopoly immensely from time to time when I get that sudden board game urge. But if you have never thought once in the past year "oh I'd like to play monopoly", I wouldn't recommend purchasing it. ... Read more

3-0 out of 5 stars Very Good Gameplay, But WAAAAY Too Short
If you've played the original Disciples II, then you definitely want this (and the other) expansion packs. The gameplay is almost exactly the same as with the original game.Outside of a few minortweaks, this expansion pack is essentially just an additional few scenarios. That, unfortunately, is exactly why I've rated this expansion pack as only three stars when I rated the original game as four stars.Looking solely at the interlinked sagas instead of the stand-alone scenarios, this expansion pack includes only three scenarios within each race's saga. And, as this is "Guardians of the Light" and not "Servants of the Dark," you can only play as the Empire and the Dwarves. That's much, much, too short for an expansion pack. The original game had seven scenarios per saga (with four playable races). The game also includes a design decision I disagree with:your hero stops getting new abilities from levelling when he reaches level 15.Depending on the scenario, he can still level. But, you don't get to choose another ability.Essentially, up to a point, all he'll get is some additional Hit Points and Damage Points. That sort of takes a lot of the fun out of the game.Especially, since the minimum starting level for your hero is 10.Heck, I imported a level 15 hero from the original game and couldn't even level him at all until the third scenario.

I'd also like to point out that even though you don't need the original Disciples II to play the expansion pack, the game only includes the Empire and Dwarven side of the original. So, if you want to replay ALL the original game (which I did), you either have to have that original game lying around, or you have to buy this expansion pack PLUS the "Servants of the Dark" expansion pack (which I've done).Because of the shortness of this exansion pack, Strategy First would be wise to not sell it, "Servants of the Dark," and "Rise of the Elves" separately. They should put all of them together and sell the combination as the expansion pack. However, if you played the original game and liked it, I still recommend this game. It's short, but good.

5-0 out of 5 stars Enjoyable for hours...
This game keeps you coming back for more. It's a very addicting game that is quite easy to learn without reading the manual. It is a turn-based strategy game that seems to have many characteristics of the Civilization series.Magic is a bit too powerful in this game, however, and can be used to weaken enemies almost to death before engaging in hand-to-hand combat.Still, the game is quite addictive and fun for those who love strategy/empire games.

5-0 out of 5 stars Epic
(Note:) This review is for the core game, Disciples II: Dark Prophecy. In fact, you can't even play the Guardians of the Light expansion until you have a character that's advanced to level 10 or higher. But since this is a stand-alone expansion, the original Disciples II is included.

Disciples II is a great game! Most everything about it conveys a sweeping epic feel to it. Awe-inspiring music and graphics/artwork run all throughout. During combat, the backgrounds change according to what type of terrain or location - if you fight on territory held by the Mountain Clans, you will be fighting on a cold wintry field; likewise, if you are fighting in lands held by the demonic Legions of the Damned your background will be a twisted, hellish place - and of course, if you attack an opponent's city your background will be, well...like a city and attacking an enemy on the water, your background will be as if on a ship.
The graphics during combat are always fun to watch - these are awesome artwork animations imported into the game, not pixellated blocky graphics. It's hard to explain, but once you see how this game looks, you'll know what I'm talking about. The music conveys a sense of both granduer and urgency - like a Conan the Barbarian-type movie with an epic score. The music really does enhance the overall feel and experience.

Bear in mind that this is a turn-based strategy game. That being said, it avoids being the click-fest, micromanagement-fest that real-time strategy games all too quickly become. Disciples plays out more like a game of chess, of sorts. You move your pieces, and then your very sharp and challenging AI opponent (single-player) or human opponent (multi-player), moves his. Each of your characters have only so many movement points per day (turn). Once you have spent all your movement points, you are effectively finished until the next turn. A good example of this is as follows: I had a darn cool Dwarf Engineer named Leif leading a strong party consisting of a Dwarf Fighter, a Dwarf Warrior, and a Dwarf Crossbowman. I moved them to some unexplored ruins and engaged in a heavy battle with some Undead Legions. I won, but all my units took moderate to heavy damage. After my turn, the computer AI opponent moved in his party of heavy-hitting Legions of the Damned and utterly annhilated my Dwarf Engineer party, that for 52 previous turns before that had been roving the map, kicking ... and accumulating lots of experience.

In your capital city, and the cities you conquer and take over, you can hire new leaders. One of them is the Thief. he is cool because he can infiltrate enemy armies/cities. By doing that, you can right click on an enemy icon or city on the map and be informed of who and what you may be going up against - the Thief makes it possible to pick and choose your own fights. He can also poison the water supply to weaken all the enemies and soften them up as you move in your fighting units to engage.

Another great thing about Disciples II is the very minimal system requirements to play. My system is a lowly P2, 400Mz, 4-yr-old relic, and this game plays just fine! The only luxury I have for my aged system is the installation of a 16Mb video card(albeit a discontinued, out-of-business Voodoo 3) upgraded from a 8Mb video card. I did play the game on both cards, and upgrading it did make a significant difference.

Such deep and rewarding gameplay available for such undemanding computer requirements - imagine that!

I have not yet attempted to play another live human being via the internet, but I imagine I soon will at least try it. I have always avoided online play because my connection was to slow with graphic-heavy games (ie Doom, Quake, Half-Life, etc...) or I just couldn't click fast enough to keep up with the brutal experienced players in RTS' (real-time strategy) such as Starcraft, Total Annihilation, and Age of Empires II. But, I sense, that Disciples II online play could be different - possibly no 56k lag because we're not chasing each other through a maze, and not getting overwhelmed and overrun in a real-time rush of enemies. I'm thinking it could be like an epic game of psuedo-chess - I take my turn, my opponent somewhere in the internet ether takes his turn,...it might work and it could be fun.

All in all, I am glad to fork over my hard-earned cash to Strategy First for creating such a simple, yet vibrant and complex gaming world for me to explore on my woefully inadequate computer for most every other game being made today. And even though I like playing the good guys, I will definitely buy the other expansion pack, Disciples II: Servants of the Dark so I can have a total and complete game and, more importantly, show my support for a game company that has delivered one ... good product! ... 4-0 out of 5 stars Awesome. Just as good as FOTR set
I bought the first set which is the Fellowship of the Ring 4 CD carz set. That was a lot of fun. You got to play the ring game in the first one which unlocks a special screen saver. This is just as much fun! Both of these are a must for any lord of the rings fan. Have a lot of stuff for you to explore through.

5-0 out of 5 stars Wow!
This is the only PC/Mac Two Towers product out there.Just got it today, get believe all of this content before the movie hit.Such a better value than the fellowhsip game.Rock on!

5-0 out of 5 stars Love theze!
I am a huge fan of the awesome Lord of the Rings movie and these are the coolest things ever out there! Totally collectable, there's one for each of the 4 main characters, Frodo, Gandalf, the hunky Aragorn + the evil Ringwraiths and contain loads of movie info, including actual movie stills, story + bio information, the movie music as well as the 4 trailers! The graphics are gorgeous but you also interact with them, using the ring to navigate your way through the cardz. However the more you use it the more it attracts the evil ringwraiths to your screen so beware!!! There are 4 tiny hidden images across all cardz too that once found unlock the gorgeous screen saver.

Gotta have them, they are fun now, but surely will also be important souvenirs one day..? ... Read more
