1-0 out of 5 stars DO NOT PURCHASE...HIGHLY BUGGY!!!!!
Great old games but the Smash Pack 1 Emulator crashes all the time! If you like these old games then buy an old Genesis and avoid this untested garbage-ware at all cost!!!!!!!

5-0 out of 5 stars Love #2
Sega smash pack 2 is totally radical. The games were the best on the system and new effects make this a totally cool game pack. id say, buy it now

1-0 out of 5 stars Deep technical problems
The Jewel case set has serious technical problems.I found the game crashes often and requires frequent reinstilation.Tech support says that they recieve many complaints about these problems.I really love these old games, but it is not worth the hastle.Don't bother buying the set.

4-0 out of 5 stars Not Bad.
When I recently built my first PC, I wanted to try out some games. I thought I'd buy this product because I played a demo of Midtown Madness and became interested. This product is a steal at its current price. The reason I give it a four is because it is a little outdated at this point. I think the games will run on old hardware, so there is no need to have a super fast machine to run these games.

3-0 out of 5 stars It was cool in its day (midtown game reviewed only)
I had the Chicago Edition and loved it.So I bought the London/S.F. edition (this game).

The physics of this game are not too good.It seems like no matter how two vehicles collide, there are only two or three outcomes. This makes it difficult to use strategic maneuvers in a race.I find the London setting to be boring.Chicago was a great choice for the first game, and I wish they included that original setting with the second game.San Francisco is better.

The included races are fun, but you need to have a wheel controller (no way you can beat the bots in the more advanced races by using keyboard controls). The reall amusement to this game is the cruise option, in which you can just run around the whole city evading cops and crashing into stuff. You can get much better driving games these days though. If you already have a steering wheel controller and want a new game to mess around with, this one is fun.If you are about to buy a controller and a nice racing game, try any of the Need For Speed series. You don't get to cruise around an entire city at will, but you will probably get more of a thrill out of the better physics and graphics NFS has.

5-0 out of 5 stars Two great games for the price of one
These are both great games. The best part is you can get them here for the price of one.See seperate reviews for each game.

MIDTOWN MADNESS 2
This game is fun to run over a network with friends and family. We get bored with it fast if we are playing alone. My younger kids like it much more than me (they think its great). It's a pain that they make you do some mind numbing tasks to unlock cars. I would give it a 3 my kids give it a 5 so we settled on a 4 star rating.

MOTOCROSS MADNESS 2
We run this game on our home network and I joust it out with my nephew or any one else who dare take me on. Great game with easy controls and good graphics. Runs great on both my PIII 1.06 Ghz HP laptop and 1.2 Ghz Celeron Emachines desktop. We have also played on the MSN gaming zone and been smoked by some really good players. We like it! 5 Stars!

This is a great deal at a great price!

4-0 out of 5 stars Reeeeal trippy... Pretty Fun
We came off a big video game hiatus to play this game. We're grown-ups who appreciate action gaming but aren't crazy about blood and guts violence - Rayman 3 is a great solution.Psychadelic, funny, challenging, with lots of puzzles and skill levels and just plain fun sequences to break up the monster-busting shoot 'em up.DID NOT RUN REAL WELL ON 10.2.Lots of annoying seizing up on memory at important points in the game.

Perfect for a chill evening at home. ... Read more

3-0 out of 5 stars Fun
A fun version of The star wars saga.A great side story you are involved in when you find yourself in the middle of a secret base from the Dark side of the force. All around fun game to play!

4-0 out of 5 stars The Dream Game
Ok I played it at my friends house(big star wars video game fan)and I say It doesen't suck but it could be better.I only played the Playstation version BAD GRAPHICS!!!!!!!!!!!!! But it was exceptional

5-0 out of 5 stars OK, now this is a GOOD game!
Note that I am reviewing REBEL ASSAULT, the original instead of the sequal: You start out as "Rookie One", a young pilot on his first mission against the Empire. I don't care if it's old, it's a good game. Now, even though you do not have too much control over the ships, as for scrolling, the many dimensions of the game drown that out. Also, another interesting note is Chapter 9: Stormtroopers. Now, this level is more unique than any of the others, as it's kind of a bridge between the primitive Star Wars games, and The more advanced shooters like Dark Forces. Also, If you watch the story sequences, note that the plot ties in with Star Wars: A new hope. Also, this game was made in a time that 3D was considered "Brand-new". You know it: The first thing you see in your local gaming store has this many dimensions: 3. Anyway, if you're looking for a good 3D game, but find no value with the Cash-Cow games of today, buy a classic like this. Now thanks, and enjoy the sequel too. =)

4-0 out of 5 stars Very good simulation game
Very good simulation star wars game....which started alot ofit all!!!so what it is 2d, who cares?:).Its the gameplay and great story line that matters within this game and I reccomend it for any star wars gamer!!!:)

1-0 out of 5 stars Note that I am reviewing "Rebel Assault" the original here.
I love "Star Wars" and related games! I recently bought "Rebel Assault" for the PC, and, frankly, it is an assault on my good taste as a gamer! I would rather play the original "Space Invaders". This game is horrible and should have been removed from sale years ago. The graphics are poor and lack any finesse, the controls for the ships are slow and useless, the colors are gaudy, and, combined with the lack of definition caused by the poor, smugdy graphics, really hurt your eyes. "Rebel Assault II" has to be better than this. I wish I has that instead! ... Read more

4-0 out of 5 stars This game is good!
Hi

I just started playing the game through a second time because i liked it so much.

The two previous reviewers critized the lack of AI in this game. In my opinion however, clicking all units and telling them what to do is exactly what this game is about. The situation can easily get out of your control if you fail to keep a watch on all your untis. Very stressful, but fun.

The bugs however annoyed me too, that's why i give it a 4/5. Sometimes the mission just wouldn't end and you have no clue what to do about it. Also, pathfinding of the units is sometimes a bit flawed, but this is a problem with most RTS games.

The overall experience remains positive however. I always dreamed about such a game and Emergency 2 really lives up to my expectations.

2-0 out of 5 stars Good idea - poor programming
The concept of the game is that of a sim-city type game but in which you only deal with responding to emergencies. This sounds like a good idea and probably would make a great game if executed properly. However this game does not live up to expectations. I enjoyed the very first mission, but after that it started to get tedious and frustrating as a result of mission-solving bugs. The tasks necessary to complete each mission are not clearly defined. There is a built in hint system but it does not give you enough information since this game is very focused on micro-managing every little detail of each vehicle and person. It is critical that the player know what they need to do in order to complete the mission. This is where the game falls apart- there is a lack of instructional detail both in the manual and in the in-game hint system. I also ran across several bugs where even when you follow the instructions the game does not recognize it. For example, in mission 3 you have to supply a getaway car to bank robbers in order to prevent them from killing the hostages. Well I put the getaway car in front of the bank numerous times but the hostages kept asking for the car! Given that this was only mission 3 of 25, I decided I did not want to deal with that type of frustration throughout the game and returned it. I read another review of the game that rated it 4 out of 10 due to those type of frustrating bugs as well as the complete lack of any AI. The units just sit there until you move them. I would recommend avoiding this game unless you have the patience to micromanage many units, as well as work through the bugs. The official game site offers a free demo for download if interested in trying it.

2-0 out of 5 stars A Fantastic Idea but too much to do...
In this game, you are the emergency services commander in charge of police & special response teams, fire dept., hospital, k9, psychologists etc. There are a wide range of different units available for you to deploy after the emergency call is made. You're stationed in a special emergency center with all these departments around you. The actual work is accomplished from the tactical command center by instructing the field operatives.

It is your responsibility to solve some 25 case scenarios varying from simple traffic accidents to difficult hostage situations. After each mission, you will receive a detailed report of success rate. Missions take place during different daytimes and in various weather conditions which adds a feeling of reality.

Before each mission there is a video file that plays and visually explains some details of what has happened. These videos are very well designed and rather impressive. The units are rather detailed with flashing lights.

The game idea, in itself, is good and missions are very interesting, versatile and challenging. Graphics, sound and music alike are of fine design. The scenes are very beautifully created (little bit in the same fashion as in the newest Sim City) and you can enter most of the buildings and do number of things there as you'd during a real emergency.

Unfortunately, the AI of your units is zero. In other words, you have to command each and every emergency unit on the scene what to do. They just cant think for themselves like real rescuers. A BIG MINUS. Say you have deployed 5 police units, two ambulances and five fire engines on the scene. They won't do anything unless you click each of them separately and point the actions that they should take... You don't get any sort of feedback of their progress unless you go to the right window and check their status by yourself. BIG MINUS. Checking the status of each unit can be rather disturbing in the long run.

The game designers should have given more consideration to this. The idea of commanding each unit separetely does work during the first few missions as they are not very complicated and there is plenty of time to accomplish your mission objectives.

However, as the game advances, the missions become larger and there is more to do around the city map. You might be working on three different locations at once -- and it is impossible to comamnd every unit in each location. So the units are just there.

The game is realistic as there are lot of bystanders, traffic around -- and during the real emergency the feeling is really like "WHAT THE HECK AM I SUPPOSED TO DO FOR ALL THESE PEOPLE AROUND?" If you issue a police officer to isolate a crime scene, he will isolate just a small area instead of isolating the whole scene. So you need to deploy five officers to do what one officer could do.

Also, I don't understand why the game has regular traffic cops who are unarmed, then shooter officers who have regular side-arms and then sharp-shooters for critical situations... In my opinion -- those traffic cops could carry a side-arm as you get confused which officer is armed and which is not. When the situation gets hot, your traffic cops get killed... and no, the shooter cops don't know how to conduct the traffic stops or other things---they are so stupid that they can only shoot.

ANOTHER BIG MINUS is that Once the action of the unit is accomplished, the unit just stands idle, doing nothing -- even if there were a new victim to help or new suspect to arrest.

Maps are rather enormous in size -- and once something goes wrong, the player will have to search the endless map for suspects and eventhough there are police and fire helicopters to be used -- they won't do anything unless you are pinpointing to them where to go.

For example, once the suspects is at large -- it would have been a good idea to issue the helicopter to fly around and search for the suspect independently -- but this is not possible. Instead you have to move the helicopter around. While you are working on your helicopter, your other units stand idle or continue doing what you have assigned them to do.

Since the AI of your staff is zero -- if the situation gets hot and you are not there in the right window, your officers, fire-fighters and other staff will get killed. The police officers do not draw their weapons or use them without you commanding them to do so. Not even if the suspect stands right next to them and is shooting at them. BIG MINUS.

Your fire-fighters will stand idle next to an explosion and get themselves killed unless you can issue a command to leave the scene.

After the doctor has taken care of one patient - he won't proceed to take care of the next patient unless you command him to do so. This obviously makes the game difficult to play.

To make things even more difficult -- the player is not aware of what is required of him/her until during the mission play. There are always surprise factors that will result to need of playing the same mission again.

So, the only reason why I am giving this game 2 stars instead of 4 stars that it obviously should deserve is that the computer AI is missing. In many ways, playing this game reminds me of early PC games with improved graphics and sound -- but the game play has the same problems as those games in 1990s.

However, there is something you can do to help the game to perform better. Get yourself a trainer and cheat codes from the Internet. With the cheats -- you will get more time to handle each situation, more money and thus the game becomes possible to play.

As a soon-to-be law-enforcement officer I wanted to buy this game in spite of its obvious flaws. However, before you buy this game, download the free two mission DEMO from the game developer's home page. You should definetely test the demo to make sure you enjoy this type of game.

For those interested in law-enforcement and fire people this game should be of interest in spite of its problems. Some 19 bucks is not all that bad -- but I wouldn't pay a dime more than that. ... Read more

1-0 out of 5 stars Don't Buy!!
This was posibly the worst game I have ever played.I have the original game which is fantastic so I was happy when I got Airport tycoon 2.When I tried it it; 1. crashed to the desktop after 10 minutes of play, 2. Has the worst graphics of any game i ever played and 3. the game play is horrible. When you buy land it always says "You nead to buy enough land for a runway!"THEY DON'T TELL YOU HOW BIG A RUNWAY IS!Don't buy it, buy Rollercoaster Tycoon 2 instead.

1-0 out of 5 stars This Game Sucks
I have no other words to desribe this rather than: Waste of Money. It's a confusing, graphically cheesey, and just all around boring. The first on is a tycoon classic. This one will just hopefully go away!

1-0 out of 5 stars this is the worst game
The game stinks! you have to build a road or apron around every building. I was also looking for a 3-d display of the inside. instead, their is a weird graph thingy. I don't know If it is just my game, but all roads, aprons, etc., blinks. DO NOT BUY THIS GAME!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

5-0 out of 5 stars Best Game Ever
I love all 3 of the myth series. This is by far the best. The graphics are amazing and the multiplayer is really fun. I don't know what the other reviewer is talking about. There can be some lag sometimes. But I have a G4 Mac and have never had any lag on my machine. Plus even if you get some it is still worth it just to play.
That's all i have to say. Buy it or burn it and get online to play me.

2-0 out of 5 stars A really awesome screensaver.
This review will only deal with the multiplayer aspect of the game because I'm lazy.
This game has been out for months on the PC, and the biggest turnout you can expect to see on Gamespy is around 20 people - and these 20 people will likely be first-time players who haven't realized how awful the multiplayer experience is yet.
Even though the developers have released a patch already (which, for the record, was created by the original development team for this game after they got fired), this game still has nasty bugs like the ability to crash other players by using the "buddy" feature (no, I am not making this up), abundant chat lag, and random crashes. Log on to Gamespy and you'll see rooms with the word "ranked" in the title - ignore these, because the ranking system was never implemented and never will be. If this doesn't turn you off, the game features horribly unbalanced maps like "Creep on the Borderlands Dark" which have literally zero useful units other than the invincible Trow Iron Warriors, which can only be effectively killed by other Trow Iron Warriors. The only strategy available on such maps is the "rush the middle with all your units and hope your opponent is stupid enough to use a different strategy" strategy - a far cry from Myth 2, where using multiple flanks consisting of a mix of artillery and melee was just one of the many strategies that good teams could use to win their games.
The developers of Myth 3 also removed many useful features from the previous Myth games. The ability to make strategic drawings on the overhead map is gone. Click on one of your teammates' units and they'll appear exactly the same as your own units, unlike in the previous titles where team members' units had a blue box around them to make them easily distinguishable from your own.
Even the features that the developers didn't remove, for some reason, have been made inferior to what they were in other Myth games. For example, in the previous Myth games, there was a small bar at the top of your screen which displayed which units you had selected, which was useful if your camera wasn't near those units and you were the forgetful type. This has been replaced with a huge, bulky bar which takes up a quarter of your screen unless you're playing at 1024X768 or above and consists mostly of useless "flavor text".
On to the graphics. With all the graphical options turned on, the game is very beautiful. Fully-detailed 3D units and realistic terrain complete with grass sprites make this game almost seem worth the money. Unfortunately, unless you happen to have a supercomputer, better graphics means a nearly unplayable frame rate. Even with the graphics minimalized and running at 640X480, the game will start to get laggier and laggier as more dead bodies start to pile up.This can get so bad that live units actually start to disappear to make room for the growing piles of 3D bodies. There is the option of turning off blood entirely, but why anyone would want to play a war game with no blood is beyond me.
In summary, don't buy this game if you're looking for a fun multiplayer experience. ... Read more

4-0 out of 5 stars Great Game Except....
I played this on game cube, and it rocks. 100's of upgrades for your vehicle, beautiful tracks, and amazing graphics make this game great. Not much better than cruising with a 705 hp Lancruiser riding on an 8 inch lift and 38s. As you race you gain reputation and can qualify for teams, getting special parts and trucks. Also, 14 inch lift sucks. I tried it on a tacoma and i rolled over backwards going up a steep hill.
No damage when you roll over or drive into the water took this game down a star. Also, there are 4 vehicle sounds. small suv, large suv, light truck, and heavy truck. The vehicle modeling is a little off too. you can turn tighter than you should be able to at 60 mph.

Overall, the fun of upgrading your car, the racing, and the graphics almost completely outweigh the cons. The best offroad game I've found.

5-0 out of 5 stars Evo 2
Awsome off road game. Thats all I can say.

5-0 out of 5 stars Cool
This game has good graphics.

3-0 out of 5 stars Nice graphics but...
this is a cool game if your into the whole one race and now its boring kind of thing... i personally think having "damage" in a game is one of the most important things.. it adds a BIG amount of realism along with some cool effect makin the game more enjoyable... being 2 laps down and still being able to win is kinda lame... i recommend "1nsane" to all you guys looking for a good 4x4 game.. it has great graphics and awesome damage effects and very realistic handling with th suspension and all.. but anyways.. go get 1nsane!

5-0 out of 5 stars Excellent Game For Anyone!
4X4 EVO2, much like the original with remakes of the old tracks and some new ones. The best thing about the new tracks is that there isn't such a strict driving path and the check points are much wider to give a more free roaming feel, as in any real off road racing. Evo2 also does an excellent job of making new tracks that actual require 4X4 driving skills, as in Pikes Peak you need to down shift to low 4wd just to get up the inclines if you have a new vehical, as in the first Evo how many wheels you had driving didn't really matter. One draw back is that the racing is much easier, you can just hold the gas and go, turning is exageratedly easy unlike the first where emergency braking to slide into turns was required. This makes the game more arcade style and much easier than the first. Objects can be moved, things fall, the graffics are good (the distant view makes driving easier, and the dust trails of your opponents can be seen a mile ahead and looks realistic) and the sound is grand but seems to lag. The mission gameplay is kind of lame but nice that you can earn money, free roam is fun for about 38 seconds. I did find myself wanting to stop and take pictures of the beautiful sunset and scenes, like the egyptian race and costa rica race ways only to be T-boned back into reality by the Bot racers. Speaking of Bot racers for some reason if you fall back half a lap it only takes a second to catch back up, good for the player, but the vise versa works for the Bot racers too, this kind of takes away from being an excellent driver and leaves you always with the pack slamming into each other for position. One way to cheat is when your near a check point slam your opponet around the checkpoint flags so he doesnt pass, the Bots wont turn around to get back to the check point, and if they miss one they are automatically in last place. Kind of a cheeze way to cheat, but it's all about money to upgrade your vehical. The upgrades are far better than the first Evo since it has brand names and cool stuff. There is a lot of options, fun, and realism in this game making it probably the best driving simulator yet. If you are a fist time driver, gamer or new to Evo this is the one for you. If you liked the first evo you will love this one. Does this new Evo mean that the old one is out the window? NO! The first Evo is definately more challenging in the driving aspect and besides Evo2 doesent have any Ford vehicals. Not that Ford is the best but off roading requires a Ford F-250 XLT 4X4 Jet black with over 500hp. Honestly this game is awesome, lots of tracks (The artic one is finally drivable and winable unlike the first where your tires just spun out), lots of vehicals and parts. A must buy for the hardcore offroaders or just the casual sunday driver looking to eat some mud. For reading my review and click yes to it being help full I will give you a hint: on the baja track there is a only one bridge on the whole track instead of going over it fall into the ravine and under the bridge is a chest with over $2000. You can climb out of the ravine and still catch up to win the race. ... Read more

I bought this game hoping it would be a fun racing . It's not the scerny is drap . No big deal I can deal with poor scernery if the game is fun . The bigest problem is the game is that it crashes .This is on a dell 1.7ghz 256 mem. 64mb graphic card with only minium system resoures running. You start the game with 1 car you can find other cars in the city or race other cars in the game for money or pink slips .there are rally races you can enter . If you win you win a car . you can upgrade your car but the car it will react the the same. also the cars are a bit weird acting . for example a firebird looking car corners better than a corvette or exotic. most gamers could walk through this game. The rally races are very easy And so are the street races . yhe music is cheasy but you can turn it down .Even if if the game didn't crash .Its still a 3*** game. ... Read more

4-0 out of 5 stars If you like curling...
No significant problems installing the game here (on a Windows XP system). We've enjoyed watching curling on TV for a few years, sometimes second-guessing the players, and this game is a perfect opportunity to exercise your imaginary curling skills.I picked up the game cheaply for a laugh, and I've certainly gotten my money's worth, from the hilarious "curling song" that plays over the credits to the surprisingly sophisticated and fun gameplay. If you like curling, you can't possibly go wrong getting this game.

2-0 out of 5 stars This game is very buggy
When it works, this game is quite enjoyable and realistic (the physics not the graphics). However, it is so buggy that I stop playing with it after a few days. For me, with Windows ME, the game freezes after every end.My friend who has the game says that it crashes his PC sometimes during the coin toss and game play.I do not mind poor graphics too much, but this game is not usable even after installing the patch from the website.Worst yet, I'm not getting any email response from CS/tech support. ... I purchased this game because of a positive write up in Air & Space magazine. They mentioned that the graphics were very basic but the flight models were superb. I installed the software as soon as it came in the mail and had nothing but problems.Sometimes it wouldn't even load.Other times it would load but I couldn't select the aircraft I wanted to fly.The game also locks up very often.I checked on the Encore web site for patches and tech support and have found neither. I sent an e-mail to tech support during the first week of March and still haven't received a reply (its now 3-30-04).I suggest you save your money or buy another simulator. ... Read more

1-0 out of 5 stars Disapointed an avid fan!
Being an avid fan of 4x4 Evolution (the original), I figured I would love 4x4 EVO 2.I was quite a master at the first one, finally able to beat most of the races. So I jumped into 4x4 EVO 2.What a mistake. This game is SO tough.I have already been playing for a month and I have yet to win a race, yet I do everything the same as I did in the first version that won me the races.I travel straight, keep my wheels on the ground, avoid obstacles, turn carefully as to not scrub speed, yet everytime I am racing I get passed like I am standing still no matter what I am driving. Then to make it worse, everytime I hit even the slightest obstacle with my 14" lift and 37" race tires, I come to a screeching halt while other drivers seem to bounce right off it.Then if they hit me (which they always do because they can't drive and keep a line) it sends me into boulders or trees or whatever, but if I hit them, they simply get right back onto track going even faster than before.I think this game has some serious AI issues to work out.Maybe in the next version they should have multiple levels (like beginner, amateur, ace, pro or something) and make it a little easier to win every once in a while.I used to play the original for hours at a time, but with 4x4 EVO 2, I make it through 3 races in 3rd or 4th place and I quit. Then I go back into 4x4 EVO and play and I can win again. The graphics are good, the sounds could be improved, but are fair, and I like the additions to the game play (such as missions and teams).I wish that this could be geared a little more toward the beginner as I see plentyof people could become easily frustrated and ditch the game as I have. But at least the game company made their money, right?

1-0 out of 5 stars 4x4 Evolution 2 RIP-OFF
I guess I expect for games to work correctly when I pay good money for them. This game would barely install...took 45 minutes!!! When I finally got it installed, it wouldn't play, it just kept trying to reinstall. After repeated efforts, I finally got it installed. Once it begins to play, it has many glitches...like an old LP that skips over and over. If my son has to leave the computer to go to the bathroom, the game shuts down and you have to go through reinstalling it again. I am terribly dissatisfied with this game! I wish I had my money back.

2-0 out of 5 stars a duplicate of the 1st one-----14 year old race fan
Where do I begin. This game CLAIMS to have LOTS OF UPGRADES and TRUCKS, it does, but there's only about 8 NEW UPGRADES, and they GOT RID OF FORD. I'm not a FORD fan, but FORD has some cool trucks. Also, WHERE ARE THE BIG TRUCKS?! No 2500 models (except SUV's)They had LEXUS in this game but NO HEAVY DUTY TRUCKS! There are some NEW CARRER MODES, and THEY DO HAVE JEEP, but thats the only reason I gave this game 2 stars. The CHASE CAMERA changes angles, if you go slow; it's like your LOOKING AT YOUR FEET. If you go to fast it becomes difficult to see your truck. They had a bumper view and a a blimp view also, but that's it. If you'r just going to use cheats than this can be a great game, but you can't use the MONSTER TRUCK in career till GMC likes you. It's to HARD TO WIN also. All the other racers are always 1 foot ahead of you, they have faster and heavyer cars too. However, your truck does get dirty and you do get to wash it. This is just my opinion, it really isn't too bad with cheats, but if you stink at racing, stay away from the race menu on this game. One good game is CABELLAS' 4X4 OFF-ROAD ADVENTURE. That game is easy enough you won't really need cheats, and hard enough you won't be bored any time soon. Thank's for taking the time to read this. Sep.23, 2002

4-0 out of 5 stars Trophy Hunter 3 is a killer...
I'm new to the computer gaming world, and this is one of the games I enjoy playing the most. Put it in and go. Directions are easy to follow. Bang. Your hunting. No trying to figuire out how do I do this or do that.
You can hunt anything from elk, Mnt.lions and Big horn sheep in NM to Brown Bears, Moose, caribou, and wolves in Alaska. Plus almost everything in between. You might actually get scared when a big brown bear charges you!! I Did! (almost anyway)
Now for the down side. No Deer. I got news for you Infogames. There are deer almost everywhere there are elk. Big Mulies. Another downfall is if you shoot an animal late in the game and don't get get to it before sunset, you loose the animal. You also can't shoot anything in the water. I wouldn't shoot anything swiming, but a moose standing in 6 inches of water? Those are my complaints. Anyway, this game is better than most hunting games I've played. ... Read more

1-0 out of 5 stars BAD GAMING EXPERIENCE
I bought this game in early June 2004.I ignored all the "BAD" comments about it because it looks like an awesome game with graphics or whatever. When I uploaded the game on my computer, however, things started to go downhill.I loaded the game in my BRAND NEW 2004 COMPUTER (that i just got recently from Gateway - which I have played SEVERAL different high-quality games with - so I know nothing is wrong with my computer itself) and all of a sudden I would get to a hallway or a room in the game, and it would completely shut off.The Adventure Company did absolutely nothing for me, I called them, I e-mailed them, I sent them technical support forms, over and over, and I had not received one response. Also, the game (the only 7 minutes that I played) gives me a huge headache and there are certain parts that don't really make sense.I don't know what it is - but certainly buy the first Traitor's Gate - the REAL one with the crown jewels - best came ever.Dreamcatcher did something wrong with this game. This was a total waste of money.HOWEVER do not go to the Adventure Company's site to buy games - this game was on there for 29.99, and Amazon had it for 9.99 - talk about RIP off...

1-0 out of 5 stars DON'T BUY IT!!!
I thoroughly enjoyed the first Traitors Gate and played it over and over again. I expected the same graphics, excitement, historical aspects, and fun out of Traitors Gate 2. It was not even close! I haven't even made it 1/4 of the way through and I'm ready to toss it in the trash bin. I don't even think TG 2 is made by the same people. You play in third person, there's no searching like in the first it's just finish this puzzle and on to the next, and I find myself being either bored or frustrated. If you are hoping for another Traitors Gate game, don't buy this one because it's nothing like the first. If you are looking for a historical game or one close to the original Traitors Gate, try The Messenger. I enjoyed that one.

2-0 out of 5 stars Messed up sequel to a great game.
I enjoyed the original Traitors Gate. Nearly photo-realistic graphics, great sound, challenging puzzles, and nonlinear gameplay. When I found out that a sequel was coming out, I pre-ordered it, expecting the same quality as the original. Boy, did life give me a hard whack in the face. The first thing that I noticed when I got it and started playing it is that the graphics went from photo-realistic to extremely poor. I hoped that the high points of the game would make up for that shocking low. If there were any high points, they sure didn't make up for the problems. As I played on, I noticed that some puzzles were very easy, others caused hours of fustration and thinking. The game also was linear and repetitive: complete the puzzle in the room, go through the newly opened door, avoid or defuse any traps in the hall ( if there is a hall ), repeat. Unlike the original, there was no more backtracking, no need to go back to a room you have been through and therefore, a limited way to look at each puzzle. Plus, it is to easy to die. For example, I was going down some stairs. There was a circle-like thing on the stairs, and when I stepped on it, I found out it was a grate, because spikes came out of holes that were in it, killing Raven ( the guy you play ). The sound is still pretty good, but for positives, that's about it. This game is nothing compared to the original Traitors Gate. If you haven't, buy the original Traitors Gate. If you have bought the original, imagine playing a nonlinear version with worse graphics. However, there are some high points. I'm just still looking for them. Overall, Traitors Gate 2 is a bad sequel to a great game. ... Read more

1-0 out of 5 stars Warlords III Darklords Rising
Do not buy this game if you are running windows XP.The game does not support it and crashes all the time.Fun game just can not keep it running.

5-0 out of 5 stars One of the Best
Civilization, Age of Empires, Heroes of Might and Magic. These are some of the games that have earned their place in game history. I think Warlords should be among them too.

What makes Warlords special is that it focuses mainly on strategy. There are about 100 possible units in this game, but each player only gets to have 16 varieties of these units. Because different units have different characteristics, such as speed, scouting range, strength and stack bonuses, you'll have to adopt different strategies based on what units you have available.

Unlike Heroes of Might and Magic, Warlords focuses more on battles and less on character building. To gain resources, you have to spread out quickly and take control of various forts. But if you spread out too fast, your existing forts become vulnerable. To effectively defend your forts, good placement of troops is essential.

The computer opponents start out the same way as you do. And just like you, they have to gradually consolidate their territories and build up their armies. You feel like plotting strategic moves against some other players, instead of an RPG game, where you build up your troops to go against the final boss.

Overall, this game is very simple, yet very deep. You have virtually limitless options, yet these options won't bog you down with complex logic like chess does. It satisfies my craving for pure strategy.

5-0 out of 5 stars best game ever
This is th best game ever.

4-0 out of 5 stars Great game...
Just like the original Warlords 3, but with more STUFF!Everyone loves more stuff: more tribes, more graphics, more beasts, more hero classes, more terrains, better editor, better random map generator. But the biggest is the additional of more scenarios and a couple truly great campaigns.Loads of fun to play through the campaigns, carrying your heroes from one map to the next, and upgrading your troops as you see fit.

A lot of people seem to like Warlords 2 better than 3.Well, that is debatable.I won't get into the whole thing, but I for one think 3 improves on it.Most notably the graphics are a huge improvement, and also I like the ideas of each side having its own individualized troops and being able to send your heroes on quests.

My only complaint: no in-game music!Did I get a bad copy or something? My Warlods 3:ROH had excellent medieval music, while my Warlods3:DR has no music whatsoever. Thus it is brought down to 4 stars.

Still, a great game!Recommended to all strategy/role-playing gamers who have never played Warlords before. You truly dont know what youre missing!

2-0 out of 5 stars Not the best in the series

5-0 out of 5 stars All fun, no trouble
I bought this on sale, figuring I would update myancient Mahjongg 2 CD, which I can't claim I was ever thrilled with. For under double digits in price, I think I got a great deal on Mahjongg 5.I have Windows XP home and I installed it easily, with no interference to any other programs. The vast multitude of themes, backgrounds, tilesets to choose from is amazing to me.If you can't find one to play that you like, then you must be extremely picky.Yes, a few of them were too hard on the eyes and I will never play those tilesets. But I found a nice variety of ones to play and my kids could play it also.If a 4 year old can find the matches, they anyone should be able to.This version is way better than any other mahjongg I have played. I understand the frustration people have if it messes with their computer, but why does that have to become the games fault? As for the music being all the same, I though I noticed that it changed depending on what theme you pick, but if it annoys, you can just click it off.Give this game a shot, fear not the naysayers.

4-0 out of 5 stars Good Gameplay
This game worked perfectly on my computer; once installed, I ended up really enjoying it.There are many new twists on mahjongg with interesting tile configurations. The only not so great thing about this disk is that there is only one continous song that plays over and over again. If this game had come with some different soundtrack it would have definetly recieved 5 stars from me :)

1-0 out of 5 stars A Terrible Waste of Money
This game is worthless. It may have over 350 tile sets but only about 50 look decent enough to see, and the sounds and animations are identical on every single tile on every single set. And this game has a tendency to lock up your computer or cause your mouse to malfunction when you try to minimize your game. I have one of the most up-to-date computers and it still has problems with this game. I do NOT recommend this game, nor anything by EGAMES because all of thier software is worthless. It's all just mini-versions of games you can find by OTHER publishers at the same price for full versions. Other publishers, like Hoyle for instance, give you a much better gaming experience. So dont look to Egames for Mahjongg unless you like wasting money.

1-0 out of 5 stars How Awful ! ! !
It looks compatable with just about anything, until you get it home and try it! You better have an 'Accelerated 3D card' and no other programs on your computer or your going to end up fighting this one from the start! If you can get it to load, be prepared to have plenty of problems with your other programs! Go with something that people are rating as 'good' instead of relying on the advice of store personnel who may not even know what mah-jong is! Just because it has more stuff at a bargain price, doesn't make it a bargain! It's a disaster!

4-0 out of 5 stars It's a pretty good game !
I would say this game is pretty good. It has a lot of different layouts. The only thing I didn't like is that it isn't consecutive - like when you finish one layout it doesn't go to a next one or anything like that. Most of them are pretty easy. I love puzzle games though and MahJongg ROCKS! ... Read more
