Good
For the most part, this is a pretty good headset. The sound is perfectly clear and it works fine, but a couple problems set it back from other headsets.

1: Mine snapped in about a month when I was adjusting the size. I taped it together and can still use it fine, but they should have made it stronger.

2: I wear glasses when playing video games, and once the headset pressed against my ear which pressed against my glasses which pressed against my head and caused a rash and bumps which bled. That is not happening anymore, but was an annoyance when it happened.

3: The pad for your ear is nice, and is soft and comfortable, but after about 45 min. of non-stop usage it starts to annoy your ear by making it sore, and it can hurt your ear with a dull aching pain.

Overall, this is a good buy if you want to go cheap. The sound is perfect and it works great, but the weakness and physical pain it can inflict drags down the overall rating. Buy this if you don't want to spend alot, it's a pretty good buy. But don't expect a flawless headset. ... Read more

Malfunctions
When I first bought this controller I really loved how dry it kept my hands. Somtimes the slimy feeling of a controller really distracts me whe I'm playing. It is diiferent from the 1st party controller, in that the thumbsticks are raised more, the ABXY buttons are angled inward, and the the black and white buttons are shifted more to the top. Also, your hands fit on the controller angled a little more inward and if you have big fingers they can get cramped in between the fan and the handles. It looks cool and It's unique design makes it easy to recognize at LAN parties. After 3 weeks one of the tumbsticks began to stick, so in Halo I would spin around randomly. Ocasionally it would trow grenades as I was walking forward. When I pulled the tringer, somtimes it wouldn't shoot, it would fire at an extreme rate, or I would sporatically use my melee attack. My controller was probably just defective. I would return it if I knew where the reciept was.

Best Controller I Have
This thing is the best idea for a controller since the whole wireless concept.I only own one of these but boy is it worht it.I am a gamer that often gets sweaty palms.You have to understand that whenever my friend wanted a turn with the game they would want to plug in a new controller so they wouldn't have to touch my dripping controller.When I saw this Airflow I had to have it.It functions perfectly, I've been using it for about a year now, and is even more ergonomically designed the standard and maybe even the controller s, and keeps my hands dry and cooled off, very comforting when your fingers are tired I sometimes pause and just let my hands fell the air.

My only possible complaint is the little spinning noise that it makes that sounds kind of like those portable fans, but after about 10 seconds it just becomes white noise and I hardly notice it.It also gives you the option to turn it off as a regular controller, and is still my favorite, a good buy for the sweaty hand gamers(...)

halo is the game that sets the bar for all first person shooters
its long its challenging on all levels of difficulty (even easy when you get to a certain point).so if you love kicking alien ass as a half robot half machinethen this is the game for you my friend this is the game for you

Cheap controller - in price and quality
If you're looking for a 3rd and 4th controller for parties, then this is for you.I got a pair for under $20 each.The layout and size is very much like the Microsoft S controller.Unfortunately, the buttons feel mushy, soft, and cheap.The quality is also inconsistent.For example, the left thumstick on my controller have a "click" when you push down on it (as it should), but the right one doesn't.Some of the triggers scratch against the frame, and they don't have the same tension.The left trigger feels solid, but the right trigger feels too soft.I wouldn't use this as a first or second controller, but at its price, it's great as a controller for parties.

The best alternative to the Controller S
If you want a controller that is similar to the Xbox Controller S but a sawbuck cheaper, give this controller a try.Build quality is not quite as good as the Microsoft controller, but it's not bad at all.The controller feels very solid.The Phoenix has features that make it a little more comfortable than the Controller S, such as a little bit of rubber on the grips to prevent slipping, and a slightly slimmer design.I also like the placement of the face buttons slightly better than the Controller S's configuration.The black and white buttons are also more easily accessible.

I have read older reviews that complained about the Phoenix's D-pad, but those problems seem to have been resolved.Although stiffer and less responsive than Microsoft's controller, the D-pad functionality is still very good.The face buttons feel good too, although they are slightly "clicky".Very responsive though.The triggers feel a little looser and are a little bit too narrow and sharp, but again, response is very good.The analog stick is comparable to the standard Microsoft controller as well.

If you need a couple of extra controllers for your Xbox, and you want to save a little money, I highly recommend the Gamester Phoenix pad.Your friends won't cry foul for your trying to foist an inferior controller on them.They (and you) may possibly prefer it.

For 20 bucks, it's a good buy. It's also a great design!
I've used a few of the big X-Box controllers and found them all lacking. If you like the smaller s Controller design, and want a back-up, this is the one. The pads make for better grip and the dual shock is really well-tuned. Gamester put a lot of work into this and it shows.

A good second controller for the Xbox
If you need a second controller for the Xbox (the system comes with only one, the Controller S) and don't want to spend $25-$35 for another Controller S, then this is a more than adequate substitute. Great Case!
I've loved this case ever since I bought it! It's solidly fabricated, good quality, and the zipper and carrying components are not made of the usual dinky stuff. I've filled the case all the way with games and have no problems whatsoever opening and closing it. I also love the slots for the game documentation - most CD cases cram in as many CDs as possible without leaving space for the info & paper that comes with it. I don't know what it's made of, but it's not the usual cheap vinyl & plastic - it's worth the price. I'm about to order 2 more myself. You won't be disappointed!

blue controller
this was my first controller i got on my gamecube i got it along with my gamecube system a game and a carrying thing forit this here is really cool controoler i prefer this over then that ugly orange one that one sucks but this one is really cool.

Better than the MadCatz Controllers
This is way better than the MadCatz series. MadCatz just try to make the controller look good but it is mostly about how the controller feels and the Nintendo origanal controller is the right thing. It is shaped perfectly and does not get stuck MadCatz. This is a great controller!!!

Nintendo GameCube Controller Review
This is the best little controller I have ever played with and that includes other systems.It is comfortable and doesnt cramp your hands and it is good looking because it matches my system.

Awkward, One of the Only Weaknesses of the Gamecube System
This controller is simply awkward and counterintuitive in its use.Yes, it is ergonomic in terms of how it sits in the hand, but the use of the buttons and their placement is awkward.It takes a long time to get used to the X, Y and, especially, the Z button.Sure, one can get used to it over time, but that can be said of anything.The bottom line is that this controller is less intuitive than either the PS2 controller or the X-Box controller.Gamecube is a fine system, but the controller dept could use some adjustment, in my opinion. ... Caution, mircorsoft doesn't support....
I recently had an issue with my xbox when games would not load.While talking with technical support, I mentioned I purchased this lense cleaner and tried it and the problem seemed to get worse.

A good cable to come with the Xbox
This cable comes with your Xbox when you buy it.Its a good all-around cable.But you can make the graphics much more crisp and clear with a Monster Cable(if you don't mind spending a good amount of money for a cable).Anyway, this cable is a good cable to come with the Xbox.

Its not too bad
In my opinion the cord itself is not that bad, but is definitely overpriced. If your going to buy an av cable, treat yourself for an extra (price) and get a top of the line Monster Cable.

Worst Cable Ever!
This is the cable that comes with every new X-Box. Whoever designed this cable should be beaten with a large bag of Swedish Fish. I guess they failed to realize that some people would like to connect the Video (yellow) cable to their Television and the Audio (Red and White) to their stereo/surround receiver. Too bad the 3 plugs are fused together leaving about 2 inches to spare between each one. With all the time spent designing this console, you would think SOMEONE would realize it's not a good idea to force the plugs together.

I would seriously give this cable a Zero star if it would let me. Now I am forced into buying the (...) advanced A/V pack just so I can hook up the console properly. ... Read more

not as good as version 3
it's simple.. if you have an xbox, get xbox live. it makes every game twice as fun and has some other nice features. you can download updates not only for some of your games, but for your xbox, too.

but the question here isnt whether or not to get xbox live, its what exactly should you buy? from using all 3 (the starter kit, version 2 and version 3) and the prices i've seen on amazon, i would reccommend either buying the starter kit or version 3.

version 2 is only a little better than the starter kit, in my opinion.. but not $10 better. if you have the money, you want to go for version 3, but if you dont have the $10 for version 3 instead of 2, you might as well save another $10 and get the starter kit. so what the heck did i just say? i said buy version 3!

Living Life one Live at a Time
Live is a great service that really does hsow that online console gaming can be a viable future.This version comes with Mech Assault, easily one of their most popular online games, and Tetris, which isn't really anything new, but it's a good standby.

There can be lag on the headset, and how lobbies and the details about how the service is used can greatly vary from product to product, as each developer has done thins differently.

At it's best!!
Xbox Live is no where compareable to Sony's Playstation 2 online capabilities. Any game provides hours upon hours of extra gameplay after the single player mode, which I haven't even played since getting Xbox Live.And how can you beat content downloads such as extra levels, updated rosters, new vehicles, and new maps?Not to mention the awesome friends list so you ALWAYS have someone to play and talk ... to via the communicator.High speed internet access is reqiured to play, which means no lag, I have yet to experience it and my cable modem is on the other side of the house.Playstation 2, haha, lag city.And who cares about playing Madden 2004 online, Xbox Live will have XSN sports network in a few weeks providing any sport you can think of online, with tournament and playoff options inluding leauges you can create and invite your friends.I think enough has been said, trade in or sell that ... Playstation 2 and do us all a favor and get Xbox and Xbox live.You'll thank me and be glad you did.Peace out, time to play online with Xbox Live.

The headset has a lag, for example......

If you say something to another person, you can here it in the head set, it also has a small delay.

In some games the frame rate is degraded, and performance speed slows down. Almost like having 56k.

Overall: Yes it is worht the money, but if you have to pay more than 50 dollars to buy a router, or something else to hook it up than no, it is not worth buying.
