1-0 out of 5 stars BOOOOOOO
This is the worst product ever. It lags like hell. Also, my computer and xbox r in different rooms so i had to buy wireless equipment ($150) to play it.

5-0 out of 5 stars BEST ONLINE EXPERIANCE EVER
best online experiance EVER. sony sucks cause no good games, but live is good for many reasons. VOICE chat. dont waste time typing like in lame sony games. BETTER games, and more games. HIGH SPEED internet, less lag. so what, u buy the first year with the box, then u pay 50$ a year after it, its much worth it. u have a friends list and can invite all ur buddies to play games. And with over 1 million subscribers, thers many friends available.

4-0 out of 5 stars $50 for another year
Since it doesn't say how much an aditional year cost, I'll say it here: you gotta pay $50 for an aditional year. Unlike Sony, Microsoft does charge every year, but most magazines say that Microsoft's online gaming is better than Sony's. The quantity of games and quality of Microsoft is better than Sony's.

5-0 out of 5 stars Well Done Xbox Dudes
I was never much of an online gamer.I had played a couple of them, but I would much rather get my friends together and play them face to face. It's much more enjoyable because you actually KNOW the person and because of the whole bragging thing. When I played online PC games, I felt unconnected to everyone else, even when playing team games like CTF.You can chat to dudes on your team via the keyboard, but you can't do that on the fly.If your playing a FPS online and are facing say three opposing team memebers, you can't type in a request for backup without getting shot.XBOX LIVE solves this problem with the headset. It is very rare to see someone online without one.You can easily strategize with your team mates and call for backup quickly if needed.Being able to talk to your team makes you feel more like a team.
The friend feature on XBOX LIVE is awesome. You can tell where your buds are at all times, even if they are on a different game. And it's easy to send a friend request.Just click the players bar and scroll down to the person's name you want to send a request to.Or you can type the person's gamertag in at the XBOX LIVE dashboard. Also, say you're playing Rainbow Six 3 and your team is really getting pounded. You can invite your friend to play with you, even if he's not playing the same game as.This ensures that you can contact and invite your friends at anytime you want.
XBOX LIVE also temendously extends the life of your games.I had stopped playing Return to Castle Wofinstien a year and a half ago, but then I got XBOX LIVE.I was on that game for hours and hours of extra gaming time. There's always good competition, you rarely will be the uber killer. On the flip side, you can learn from the better players if your a newb and start wailing on other gamers in no time.
Overall, XBOX LIVE is a purchase that (I think) pays for itself.I have gotten fewer new games because I'm always getting new experiences out of my old ones.It is a very good investment for anyone looking to further there gaming skills or just looking for a helluva good time.

4-0 out of 5 stars It just GLOWS
although i don't own this yet (don't hurt me) i hav played a cuple of games at my friend's house and it was AWESOME! if u dont hav this yet like me GET IT!It is da BOMB! ... Read more

5-0 out of 5 stars Gamester Pro Racer Wheel X Box
I just purchased another one to keep as a backup in case my old one quits. I've had the old one3 yrs now and it still works flawlessly, I just wanted to have another new one in stock. This controller takes a little getting used to and it works as well as a separate wheel and pedal set which I also have (Thrustmaster Nascar wheel and pedal set).

2-0 out of 5 stars Its okay for the price
There are clearly better wheels available if you want to spend the money, but for the price, this one is okay.

It is a little difficult to get used to, but once you do it drives okay. It has better sensitivty then a normal analog thumb-stick, but not as much as a higher-end wheel.

As soon as you hold it you can tell it doesn't have the construction quality of other controllers. One faulty bit of design, the springs that re-center the wheel depend on small plastic knobs (with a screw through the middle) inside the controller. If you turn the wheel too hard you can break the plastic knobs and lose the spring back to center.

1-0 out of 5 stars Really lousycontroller
Don't buy this controller! I bought this to try to see
if it is as good as the company that made it claim it to be.
The innovative design and concept will attract you but
at the end of the day you want a controller that let you
drive your car properly.
I realise this is a very bad controller, first of all using the
microsoft normal controller is much better than this so
called "pro racer" controller. The degree you can turn the
steering wheel is so small, such that by just turning a bit
you car will turn wide and skid.
You will not be able to make fine driving adjustments,
which is what you need if you want to enjoy a driving game.
Well, I have really wasted by money buying this and feel
like throwing it away. "sign", but I did not know at first.
And I have no opportunity to try it out at the shop.

2-0 out of 5 stars NOT WORTH THE $$
I bought one of these wheels and although it does have acceptional steering-responsive-sensitivity, less than an hour after getting it home and for whatever reason the back and the start buttons began sticking. As soon as you start a game with it plugged in it just flips back and fourth between screens!!
I decided to make sure that there was nothing physically stuck inside of the contoller and removed the back of it. NOTHING! It just sticks and refuses to function properly!

1-0 out of 5 stars Great item, I bought two, both quit working within a month
Got the Xbox for Christmas along with the two racing controllers, however both racing controllers started malfunctioning withing 20 days. Am sending them back but who knows how long until I get them back and how long they will last.
And no I am not a hard core gamer. ... Read more

5-0 out of 5 stars BEST FOR ANY FPS
I originally purchased this for the PS2 for playing Max Payne and Hitman and I loved it so much when I got a Xbox I immediately bought this controller as well. It can be difficult to remember which buttons are X and which are B but (especially having two different versions of the controller) it's never hard to remember which button throws grenades and which punches. It does have a fairly high learning curve and no one else ever seems to want to use it but that can be a plus sometimes. On another note this controller is almost worthless playing anything else besides First Person Shooters. In short this controller is a godsend for getting the upper hand in Halo or any FPS.

5-0 out of 5 stars A Must For Halo
My biggest complaint about the controls on Halo is that I couldn't slap someone without taking my thumb off of the joystick (which is bad because someone can you get in the the second or two that it takes to push the button and come back to the joystick). I could switch controller profiles so that the slap is on one of the triggers but then I couldn't throw a grenade without taking my thumb off of the joystick. It was kind of frustrating to me.

Finally my wife bought me this controller for a Valentine's gift (now that is a romantic wife, I wouldn't trade her for anything).

What I did not like: Let's start with this part. I did not like that it took me almost a week of playing Halo (an hour a night) to get back to the same level of skill that I was with the original controller. I've been using this controller for seven months and even now I still don't know which button corresponds to the x, y, a, or b button. I also do not like that I if try playing Halo with a normal controller, [...]. I don't remember the buttons very well and am no where near as good with the normal controller as I am with the FPS controller (but that's not the controller's fault). I'm sure that if I played on both for awhile, I could switch between the two without a problem.

What I liked: I love this controller. It is the best thing to happen to me and Halo. Once I got past the learning curve (1 week), I increased the already large scoring divide between me and my lan party buddies (usually around 7 points) to 10 points. I no longer have to lose control of where I'm looking or running to throw a punch or throw a grenade. Even though I don't know which button on this controller is the B button, I instinctively know which button is the slap or which will switch weapons. The buttons are in an excellent spot. I at first thought that I would bump the buttons in intense moments but that's not the case. You have to be deliberate with your button mashing for you to throw that punch. The feel of thing is great and actually adds to the experience (if you haven't noticed, it kind of looks like a gun) Another great things about this controller is that because it has a kind of high learning curve, no wants to borrow this controller. They may ask to use it but I tell them about how hard it is to use at first and they leave my prized controller where it belongs, with me. This thing is awesome. ... Read more

4-0 out of 5 stars Works well as an advanced AV kit with some free cables.
It seems that it doesn't work so well as a High def pack and that you should just by the microsoft version. However, I do not have an HD TV and just wanted the S-Video and Digital Optical Audio for Dolby Surround Sound. For this purpose it works great and includes some free cables. 1x S-Video, 1x Standard AV cable, and 1x High Def cable. It does not include an Digital Optical cable but they are easy to find, and it includes more cables than the Microsoft one did.
So I would recommend this if you need the dolby sound and better picture, but not if you are looking for HDTV.

4-0 out of 5 stars Not as bad as reviews say considering new price...
I tested it for the S-Video and Optical part and it worked like a champ.I don't know about the high def part. The main reason I bought it was to get the component cables to use with my DVD player.Hard to find a set under $10 these days.Plus it came with a S-Video and Red, white, yellow RCA cable to boot. :)So 3 sets of cables for under $10.

1-0 out of 5 stars High Definition DOES NOT WORK!
This product is bogus. It does not enable High Definition use with your XBOX.

1-0 out of 5 stars Do not buy this product!
This product totally doesn't work.I can't get my TV into HD at all no matter what the configuration in the XBox settings.I thought this was the Microsoft version but it's just a piece of crap from Intec.

1-0 out of 5 stars Don't buy this one!
This HD AV pack for the xBox is NOT the Microsoft version.I bought this pack and can not get my HD TV to properly display any game... my TV is fully capable of all resolutions up to 1080i.I have spent many hours setting up and verifying that my xbox and my TV are connected right.I posted on the xbox forums and everyone there told me to return this product and buy the MS created HD AV pack... ... 1-0 out of 5 stars Trigger Trouble
The packaging claimed the Pelican Tomahawk was good for all games "land & sea".I tried it on HALO 2.The trigger fire button is programmed to make you jump.So I tried the advertised built in programming function. This function, fully described in the included, skimpy, manual, is supposed to allow you to change the function of a button to another function that one of the other buttons has.A very inconvenient button had the fire function and I wanted it on the trigger. The programming function did not work.I could not switch the fire to the trigger.I contacted Pelican by web and they did respond to me in less than two days (pretty good). But, all they said was

"The flight stick was not made to be used with halo 2. Only with flying games only. We apologize for any inconvenience this might have caused."

That does not explain why the programming feature does not work.Nor does it exlpain why the device is touted to work for all games.

In serching the web I have seen posts with the same programming problem I have.

The joystick itself has an adequate , though not great, feel.It is akward to hold and use because the base is light and small. You have to hold it down on a flat surface to used it or hold it with one hand.It is not as solid as I'd like but is servicable. However, if it won't let you fire from the trigger, it is of little value. ... 3-0 out of 5 stars Good Concept - Poor Quality
Good:
1)The layout, and the feel of the controller
2)Being able to Jump and Melee without removing your right thumb off the stick

Bad:
1)Buttons stick a lot - not reliable for when you need it.
2)The Analog sticks have a little dead zone that makes aiming difficult.
3)Aiming sensitivity is inconsistent in different directions - it's difficult to aiming quickly and accurately
4)Aiming sensitivity is really bad - it's difficult to move the aiming-sight slowly to aim accurately... there's very little variation or consistency in aiming speed to how far you press the stick.

Conclusions:
1)The bad outweigh the good for overall FPS play.
2)Good only if you plan to do nothing but melee or jump - in a shooting battle - you would lose miserably.

4-0 out of 5 stars Good, but Weak
I saw this in the store and refused to pass it up, it works perfectly, and the ability to remap the buttons is better than i've ever seen. It can take some getting used to, but the advantages outweigh the learning curve. On Halo/2 I am able to melee without taking my thumb off of the right thumbstick, I even seem to be able to follow up sword lunges faster. However, the controller is a bit weaker than most, I have ripped off the pad on the right thumbstick, slightly bent the 'cup' area of the right thumbstick and broken the right trigger, it still works but every now and then if I apply too much pressure the trigger pops out of its place and might not fire, sometimes it will continue firing until I can pop it back in. Overall, it is a great controller for the FPS addict, I usually use a normal controller for games like Baulders Gate or Morrowind.

3-0 out of 5 stars Decent, had potential
The buttons underneath the controller stick. The sticking buttons I can deal with. The easy workaround for the buttons (which don't have a good spring to them), is to just hit them in their sweet spot. That takes some conditioning, but it's doable. The problem with the control that bothered me the most was the right thumbstick's deadzone. There was about 2mm radius in which the right thumbstick did not respond. This flaw makes it hard to perform fast pinpoint accuracy with a sniper rifle or pistol.I finally ceded and went back to the first party controller because of the flaw. But if you don't need the accuracy, the layout and idea of the controller is great and it will increase your speed in jumping, switching weapons, melee attacks and using the action button. All the buttons are remappable and takes only a few minutes to do so.

5-0 out of 5 stars FPS controller: does a Master Chief Body good!
I've always played shooters for the PC, the control setup just felt more natural than "dual sticking" on a console.Aiming was more precise and every function was at my fingertips. Everything was fine until I saw this controller at a store.I put off buying it thinking it was some cheap plastic. But after seeing lots of FPS exclusives for XBOX and reading pretty decent reviews for the FPS controller, I went and bought an XBOX, this controller, and of course Halo (finally!).

Playing Halo with the FPS Master Controller feels unbelievably natural (thanks to the triggers, even better than PC).It's like gripping two pistols but with the precision of a keyboard and mouse. Also, those who are masters with the XBOX controller-S, will notice an increase in skill performance: my friends can now jump, turn-aim, snipe-kill, melee attack and reload all without lifting a thumb (aches and pains be gone!). Works well with other FPS games too, but Halo feels the most intuitive mainly because the controls are combat-perfect to begin with.Program which button-placement feels best for you and rock on!

All in all, the FPS Master Controller is a worthy purchase (also a deadly ally in a heated Halo session) and is highly recommended. Don't listen to the other guy and his 10-hour lifespan controller (what the hell did he do to it?!). I've had mine for 4 whole months and even bought a 6 dollar 2 yr. warranty, it isn't braking any time soon.I can't wait enough to try this out with Halo 2 come this fall.I love my FPS controller!

1-0 out of 5 stars Beware: It has a good feel, but it is JUNK
I was excited to get this controller for Halo. It didn't take that long to get used to, and it did feel very comfortable for slayer matches in Halo. However, after about one week I noticed that the buttons on the bottom would sometimes get "stuck", meaning I had to press them very firmly in order to change weapons or jump. This did get in the way of gameplay at some points. After one more week of use, probably less than 10 hours total playing time with this controller, the right trigger broke while playing Halo. The plastic snapped and the whole controller stopped working. Very disappointing. I returned it the next day and no longer recommend this cheaply made controller. ... Read more

5-0 out of 5 stars XBOX SYSTEM LINK CABLE
This cable is used ONLY for a hookup between 2 xboxes. This means that if you want to play Halo 4 vs 4 with 2 tvs, a regular ethernet cable will not work.Only the Xbox System Link cable will work between two xboxes directly connected. However, if you hook up four xboxes, you have to use regular RJ-45 ethernet cable with a hub. That is why this cable is necessary.

5-0 out of 5 stars Some of youmight need this...
This cable is absolutely necessary for anyone who bought the "xbox halo edition".Normal crossover cables do not work on this verson of the xbox and unfortunately microsoft found a way to screw you over, but hey, I guess they're being smart..

3-0 out of 5 stars Not as bad as everyone says
First off, yes the Spirit controller is big and there is no need for the extra B+W buttons. But these other problems are not related to the controller's design.Random spinning or lack of button use is due to low batteries. The batteries that come with the controller only lasted me about 2-3 days after I purchased two of the controllers. At that time I had the same problems everyone else is complaining about. But after popping in good ol' coppertopped Duracells, my controllers work seemingly forever between battery replacement, and I don't have spinning/button problems.I have also never had signal problems, even from my bedroom to the front door.I have hosted many 4-8 person Halo 2 matches at my place, and everybody always wants the wireless controllers. The people complaining about joystick sensitivity probably just need to turn down the "look sensitivity" in their profiles.I bought these because I was at Wal Mart and they were the same price as the corded controllers, and I don't regret it.But the logitec controllers are WAY better.

1-0 out of 5 stars wireless controller for xbox
I was let down by this product.it was great that its wireless, but it would activate by itself , if you left the controller alone, it would make the character on screen look up all the time. this was very annoying. I had thrown the box away after x-mas. so I can't return it. Ihappily threw it away in thetrash.

1-0 out of 5 stars Another sad attempt at wireless controllers
I owned this controller for about 2 hours before it broke. The first thing I noticed out of the box was that the batteries went where there should be rumble packs - there aren't any rumble packs!? Rumble is completely necessary in many games and this controller never said anything on the box about not having it. The controller is made from thing, cheap plastic that broke from a 2 ft drop off the couch when my ferret knocked it over. The extra white/black buttons are completely unnecessary and difficult to reach and often get stuck. The connection is terrible. I had merely my leg between the controller and receptor on the console and my guy on screen would just start spinning in circles for no reason. My right trigger button was messed up from the start - without the slightest touch whatsoever, I would start shooting randomly. Ergonomics are fine, but when the controller doesn't work properly, I could care less about ergonomics and more about finding a new controller to replace the worthless piece of junk I just bought. I just bought the Pelican Edge wireless and it is much better for $10 more. Get that instead of wasting your money on this.

2-0 out of 5 stars HIT & MISS...very aggravating
'PELICAN SPIRIT WIRELESS CONTROLLER'
Well, to sum it up, I'm very disappointed. At first, all feels great. The controller looks good, feels good and the buttons are placed comfortably on the pad. Sadly, that's where the good stopped and the aggravation began.
The FIRST problem was the analog sticks weren't at all accurate. I'm a huge first person shooter fan and accuracy is very important. I felt like I was missing a leg in a ass-kicking contest! When trying to aim and fire, I was all over the place. It was nearly impossible to take out any of the enemies because the analog was non-existant. In 'sniper' mode I couldn't get an accurate shot because the stick wouldn't allow me to "barely" or "slowly" move. It was "fast" moving, all the time. That's no good. Then at other times I found myself spinning in circles, but not pushing any buttons at all. It was insane.
The SECOND problem was when I pushed one of the buttons(A,B,X,Y). I'd be at a critical moment, I'd push a button and it would NOT respond and other times I was at a critical moment and it would respond. Very frustrating. I began to worry so much about the controller, instead of focusing on the game and task at hand, that I wanted to set the controller down and stomp on it! Nothing's worth that kind of misery!
*SIDE NOTE* The L2 and the R2 buttons(extra shoulder buttons) seemed okay, but I never found them necessary and not at all worth the frustration this controller brings with it.
The THIRD problem was there are NO vibration motors. Which was NOT mentioned on the box. What a bummer! The vibration brings a since of attention and jolt to the moment of action.
I actually had 2 of these controllers and the problems were very simular in both. One was a little better in one area, but then worse in another. Unreliable became my conclusion. I hate to say these things, but for the money, these things should work and work good.
IN FINAL I just can NOT recommend this controller.
There are two good things about this experience...(1)Thankfully I can return them & get my money back and (2)warn you. ... Read more
