5-0 out of 5 stars This Box Rocks
For months I've had to carry my XBOX, controllers, Controller Converters, Electrical & A/V Wires, LAN cables, and games in my green sports bag (which I recieved as a gift from my father's gift of cologne!).... It held all my items, but it did not PROTECT THEM.
With this suit case, I am now able to not only protect my XBOX, and accessories, but put everything I actually use all in one place. Plus it saves me space in my car's trunk since I practically live out of my car (I'm currently a college student).

You have to be nuts to not appreciate the extra accessories (the CD Disc Case, Programable controller and DVD Lens Cleaner). You don't have to use all these items, since they're easily sellable on your own accord.

Great buy and save!

3-0 out of 5 stars Not worth the money
This item, while neat in its own feature-esque way, is not worth the (...) one would put into owning it.It's only really useful when you take your Xbox places, and the case only holds 6 discs. The cleaning kit is absolutely worthless, but the controller is useful... if you don't already have 4. ... 1-0 out of 5 stars Ok For A While
I couldn't wait to get playing. I played for a couple hours and it was "good". But after that, the down arrow wouldn't work. You would hit it and it didn't do anything. I got three words for you Don't Buy One. My cousins have Konami brand ones and they work great.

4-0 out of 5 stars Great Mat But Get One On eBay!
This mat is great for beginners. It won't last too long for advance users but this mat is a great way for a beginners to learn how to play. Some people recommend duct tapping plywood on the bottom of the mat some it responds better, but if you get a mat anywhere, I STRONGLY RECOMMEND getting one on eBay.Usually, they are brand new and factory sealed. They usually come in a sets of two (one for you and a friend) and sell for about $8.50 like this one (either in XBox or PS2) and $15.95 for shipping (The Buy It Now price on eBay is usually $8.50 but you can still bid on it to save a couple of bucks).Shipping for these mats on amazon.com are $4.49 for 3-5 day shipping and $8.98 for two day shipping so you still come out ahead on eBay.I got a mat that retails for $130 (its sort of like the mat that sells for $99 here; its more expensive because it has extra padding and it will last longer) for $20 and $25 dollar shipping. For hardcore fans who really got some moves and play the DDR games a lot, eBay has the metal dance mats with the bar (looks exactly like the one in the arcades) for about $150 (not including shipping).Otherwise, this is an awesome mat but if you want to save money and get one for when a friend comes over, get one on eBay (if you get one on eBay, search ddr or search ddr extreme).

1-0 out of 5 stars 3 faulty pads in a row
Within a couple weeks the down arrow started failing.Amazon quickly replaced the pad with the same results. Then we had to return the 3rd pad for the same reason.Something is seriously wrong.

1-0 out of 5 stars Response for J. Baer
Hey J. Baer, sorry this response is so late, but I noticed you were asking about agood dance pad for the X-box. I wholeheartedly recommend the RedOctane.com Ignition Pad (Dual Platform Edition). The cord is split at the end so that it will work with either PSX/PS2 or X-Box. Its quite a bit more expensive ($109.95) than the pad listed on this page, but it is well worth your money. I'm an officer for a DDR club at a university and we've bought these pads for our club with money from dues. Most hardcore members (including myself) own Ignition pads themselves because they are the favorite softpad among the DDR community. We also have 2 Cobalt Flux pads, which are incredible, but not very practical for your purposes ($300 each).
Check out the RedOctane website and see what you think. They are definitely worth your money. We have been having problems with one of our pads lately, but thats because they get so much usage by all our club members. If it is just for your home and you take good care of it I'm confident you will be very satisfied.

1-0 out of 5 stars Yea, I got burned, too.
I picked up this pad and, just like everyone else, the back arrow stopped working after a while. By all means, avoid this one. ... Read more

5-0 out of 5 stars Best Controller Ever
This is a beautiful controller for several reasons. I have big hands and this conforms to my hands perfectly, my hands fit to it naturally. Another thing I like is the ruggedness of the thing, it has heft and weight to it, a solid, quality feel, with quality rubbery like plastic, so it feels good to hold. It is not cheap feeling plastic like some other controllers.

I would especially recomend this for you if you have big hands like me.You won't feel as cramped as you do on the stock controller supplied with the box, also if you like things that feel solid and sturdy then this controller will be right for you.

2-0 out of 5 stars wore out in less than a year
As noted by another reviewer, the rubber joystick pads wore out and were unreplaceable. After improvising with rubber bands, the controller itself then became unusable, drifting and not moving where the right joystick was pointed.

This product was great for about six months, but I cannot recommend it due to it's short life.

1-0 out of 5 stars Logitech is missing the boat
Run do not walk away from the Logitech counter. When the rubber pads wore off my game pad I was willing to pay for replacement parts. Their 800 number sales line was delighted to tell me to call their toll call help line and sit on hold for 20 minutes.According to Logitech these parts are not available for replacement regardless of wether or not you wish to pay for them. This is a terrible example of customer service. Logitech has enough brand recognition apparently that it does not need new customers. I personally will never buy another Logitech product. Companies who refuse to support their products will not get my business.

5-0 out of 5 stars One of the best controllers for Xbox
Logitech almost always makes great hardware, at least that is my personal opinion. Almost all of my computer peripherals (mouse, keyboard, speakers, gamepad) are from Logitech and their wireless has never disappointed me before. Again they come through in spades with a wireless controller that does not disappoint. There is no lag between pressing a button and an action happening on screen. I was also able to go from one end of my house to another, which is a good distance, and the response time was the same. Now, I know that may not be the biggest deal, but it does tell me that I will be able to sit in front of my T.V. just a few feet back and not experience any problems. Another great thing about Logitech is their warrenty, which often times does not get covered in reviews like this. I have had one piece of equipment go bad in the 7+ years I have used their hardware, and when I got to someone on the phone they were a pleasure to deal with and the return policy was great. I think that is important when deciding to purchase anything, especially when it costs a few dollars more than some of the competition. Overall, I could not be happier with the controller, or with Logitech for that matter.

3-0 out of 5 stars Great at first, doesn't last long
I was very happy with the controller for the first 3 months I had it, then the left thumb pad wore down and is falling off. Then the left joystick also began to stick, and would not return to the home position. When playing halo, I can't stand still, when I let go of the joystick, it makes me slowly drift left, often falling off cliffs to my death.I would not buy this model again. ... 5-0 out of 5 stars Works Perfectly
After trying two different brands of PS2 wireless controllers that DIDN'T work, we bought a Logitech for $10 more.It works perfectly, fits well in the hand and gets the job done.Life is too short to spend your time returning defective junk to the game store.Fork over the additional 10 bucks and get quality gear!

1-0 out of 5 stars Buyer Beware!
I've always seen Logitech as a very good company that makes high quality products, until the cordless PS2 controller came along.Besides the fact the controller is VERY heavy, the left analog stick hangs, and I have gotten minimal play with it.Why?Because it also has a terrible "sleep mode" (AKA: there's no way to turn the thing off and save battery life). With no vibration on, I would say I may have gotten 25 hours of game play with new batteries (and that is rounding up).I called tech support, and they are no help.(I didn't really expect a lot since they can't make a defective product work.)Logitech should refund everyone who bought this controller.Perhaps this will help someone out there who thinks Logitech's game console products are as good as their computer products.I would not recommend this product.Buyer Beware!

Also beware that Logitech makes a wireless controller for the XBOX as well. After the horrible experience with this PS2 controller, I bought the Intec XBOX Pro Mini 2 Wireless Controller. It is excellent.Intec also supplies a controller for PS2.I have not tried it, but if I buy another wireless controller for the PS2, I'm going to Intec.

5-0 out of 5 stars The BEST Ps2 controller period.
I always liked the quality of Logitechs products and wanted the convenience of a wireless when playing my games in bed so I didn't hesitate to purchase this.Very good quality, feels good in the hands with just the right amount of weight to it. Sturdy and well made.some guys here complained about broken analog sticks but I think the problems were due to them just being a bit abusive with their stuff. These are very well made.I have an updated model slightly different from the picture.Logitech must have responded to the complaints of hands slipping off the analog sticks. The new controller has black rubberized sticks that are not concave. The only complaint I have is the placing of the select and start button so close to the analog sticks.Requires a little bit of dexterity in the fingers!Other than that this is a superb wireless.A

4-0 out of 5 stars Great , but Some lost signals or broken buttons
When I first gotthis, I loved it. I've had it for about a year. So, I was playing a racing game, and I was holding the X to go and then suddenly, I slowed down. After that it still didn't work so good. It even happened in other games. I even tried changing the batteries. This is still a great controller because it only does it sometimes.

3-0 out of 5 stars Not strong enough....
Mine has broken twice, left analog stick broken (always forces the movement down). Can't recommend without an insurance policy, the product is just too weak.

Update: Another one of these broke on me. The left analog stick gets "stuck" in the down position and there is a fine white dust eveident arount the base of the analog stick. I'd say stay away from this one, which is too bad because it is quite responsive and has good battery life. One other thing, the controller will quit responding if too close to a ringing 2.4 GHZ cordless phone. ... Read more

3-0 out of 5 stars Take Caution
Take caution when buying this controller.Mine (yes, its green) has been replaced by either me or my parents 3 times, and needs to be replaced again. The X button on every one of the 4 green controllers I have had, has always been bad, and it stops working well after a few days. Then, my controllers stop working permanently after about a year.My brothers still works fine after 3 years (he got the blue one). Please take caution on the controller you get.

5-0 out of 5 stars Controller
well, it's an avarage dualshock controller that I'm gonna buy because My amazon gift card won't work to buy the yellow Japenesse one. If you have a PS2 this is the same conrolller that comes with it, but in green.

5-0 out of 5 stars Great replacement for 2 black controllers
I have 2 black controllers for PS2 and I can never tell which one was in the 1st controller port and the 2nd port. It was a struggle following all those mixed wires cause most of the time all my wires for all my systems gang up into 1 big headache ball. It was pissing me off. Now I got this green controller and a video game center to stop pissing me off.

5-0 out of 5 stars I LOVE DDR!!!!!
I love DDR. I am still dancing away all night long. Its so fun. so many songs, online support, what more could u want

Pros:
-Lots of different songs
-online support
-not good....but cool graphics
-highly addicting

Cons:
-Too addicting....sometimes

4-0 out of 5 stars This game rocks!
This is my favorite video game by far.
Its fun and a workout at the same time. It even keeps teack of how many calories you burn. If you have xbox live then you can battle people from all around. Thanks Konami for this great video game! What are u waiting for go out and buy it!

4-0 out of 5 stars Amazing
this game is amazing! i have never had so much fun playing a video game until i played this game. it's outstanding. i absolutly love it

4-0 out of 5 stars Great Addition to the DDR series, but not the best
I have played DDR: Konamix, DDRMAX, DDRMAX2, and now DDR ULTRAMIX. All of these were lots of fun to play and had plenty of replay value, but this one doesn't hit the spot just right. However, considering it's price, the game is well worth the buy for the xbox.

The graphics are very smooth with no slowdown. The backround dancers are cell-shaded, and they look very smooth as well. The menus are all very colorful and very responsive.

The sound quality is great, everything makes great noise. The only problem I found here is the announcer's voice being a bit too loud at times, and this could not be adjusted, but could be turned off.

The song list is a great deal smaller then it's predecessors, (this one: 50 songs, DDRMAX2: 72) and it combines a bunch of fun songs. However, it would have been nice to see some other 10 footers besides MAX 300.

So what gives this game the slightly below perfect score? The fact that it feels like a watered down version of DDRMAX2. It does not include non-stop mode, the challenges feel rushed, and the step edit mode is very hard to follow. It could have been fixed, but they decided not to.

The fact that you can buy more songs for a reasonable price is nice, but the problem is, some people don't have xbox live. There are currently 3 song packs available, all very nice, with something for everyone. DDR ULTRAMIX is definately worth it's budget price.

5-0 out of 5 stars Too Much Fun!!! and a good workout to boot!
OK lets start by saying this game is not just for teenagers. I am just out of law school and LOVE IT! I love to do the workout mode where the game counts your calories for you. I set it for an hour and always end up going over. Who can say that for the stairmonster? The best part is you have a smile on your face the entire time and stress is just erased. This game is reason enough to go out and buy an xbox! The added bonus of being live enabled is great. (If you don't know, Xbox live is a subscription service that lets you go online and download additional features for games, like new songs, and play against people from all over)

A couple of bits of advice...

*Read the little book that comes with the game... I know, who wants to read instruction but it is helpful as the interface is not exactly intuitive at first glance.

*Don't get discouraged...
a)use the training mode to slow things down, choose the light setting for easier step patterns, this game has a ton of features to help you, take advantage of them.
b)the game only counts off if you miss a step not if you add some so, have fun, be creative, try to position yourself for the next step, and don't go back to center everytime.

Remember! It is a game, not an exam and you don't have to compete with anyone if you don't want to...just get up there and shake your groove thing.

I am planing to buy three extra pads to use at my next party...I am sure it will be a big hit, I am a little worried that no one will want to go home though.

Also, I don't have children but...I can imagine that this would make a great alternative to all the wack monsters with swords, shoot things, and beat things up games that are so popular (don't get me wrong I love those games too) with the added bonus of getting the little ones off the sofa and moving around.

All and all I could not be more pleased...an Xbox must have... ... Read more

I love the new Gray Dual Shock 2 Controller its see though and a lot easier to handel than the controller that came with my Playstation2.

5-0 out of 5 stars Best thing ever to happen!
First of all the PS2 controller is the best controller because it is not to big (X Box Controller) and it is not to small (GameCube Controller). It also is not to complicated, I mean, my 4 year old brother can even use it right. Plus now that they have made it see-through with color, it is even better than before. ... Read more

4-0 out of 5 stars Great Product!
Bought this for my 6 year old gaming/tv freak, very sturdy construction with no worries of tipping the 27 inch tv. Currently we have a DVD/VCR combo on the second shelf and a GameCube on the bottom. The only problem we have had is the spacing slats that hold the DVD's in place don't hold them tightly enough and they sometimes fall off of the stand. Easy to put together and even easier to keep clean.

5-0 out of 5 stars way way better than the first 2!
this video game center is way better than the first 2 video centers from step2, this one fits all my ps2 and gamecube games perfectly and neat, the other two are more old fashioned and don't fit ps2, gamcube, and dvds like this one does.this game center is real strong the other 2 are'nt. my 27 inch tv fits good and looks nice on the game center. and the other bad thing bout the other two video game centers is you can only fit 19 inch or smaller tvs on them and if your a real gamer you would want a bigger tv cause your games look alot better. ... 5-0 out of 5 stars Cool looking gun, but trigger demands muscle
OVERALL
The Innovation Technologies XBox Light Gun is a great purchase. It fulfills all the requirements of a gun accessory and looks great.Compact and full xbox controller functionality, this is a hard product not to consider for your shooting games. It's got the style and the handling down nicely. You won't regret buying this light gun over the Mad Catz.

PRESENTATION
The sleek black design with stylishly placed green buttons make the Xbox Light Gun from Innovation Technologies an attractive purchase. The layout is as cleverly sorted as a gamer could wish for.The joypad is very easy to work with -- it's situated right behind the hammer. It's actually better than the poorly constructed joypad on the Pelican Silent Scope Rifle. The other buttons are a little soft when pressed, it may feel a bit sticky at times -- but you (probably) won't be pressing those buttons at all other than the trigger and directional pad. Also, most (or two) of the shooting games out now use the B button to cycle backwards in menu screens. So to be more precise, the main buttons you'll be using are B, Trigger (which is the A button), and the Start button. They're all situated on the left side of the barrel which the is the most convenient place.Note that there's an EXTRA B button below the handle which is what is mainly advertised about the gun.The right side of the light gun has the X and Y buttons, which you'll never use.

HANDLING
It's not as romantic or glorious as one may think to constantly slam the B button below the handle. In fact, it get's very awkward and tiresome the xth time you do it.Realistically, anyone shooting/reloading piles of 9mm clips (at a rate of 1 clip per 3 seconds) would be fatigued, but shouldn't this be minimized with a light gun?

Well, it has...If you're willing. The B button on the left side of the barrel is extra wide to hold your left thumb (assuming you are holding the gun with your right hand and using your left hand to support the barrel - your thumb comfortably rests upon the B button). This way of firing and reloading shows less bravado, but it's the quickest and most painless way to operate the light gun.Don't be fooled, it sounds great to reload like you've just released an empty clip and about to slam a fresh one in...But it gets old real fast. You'll have to hold the gun with one hand and keep your left hand under the handle (where the B button is) the whole time you play.Which is how a real pistol would be held, but if you don't frequently use a firearm like this (i.e. actual training and experience) then well...You'll eventually opt for the less flashy way of handling the thing -- and it really is more efficient in terms of speed and stamina on your arm.But rest assured!Regardless of whichever way you operate the gun, once you grow comfortable with your style of handling -- it'll be second nature.

Overall, the gun is extremely light and seems hollow even.I wouldn't be putting it at the bottom of your games and other accessories as it might break.I recommend wrapping the cord up as you play, because you don't want excess wire getting in your way as it is quite long. Also, the trigger (for new light guns, not used) is a bit stiff and requires some "breaking in".When I first got it, the trigger demanded more pressing force from my index finger than most other light guns. After the first few levels, my hand and arm were tired.Thankfully, using the light gun constantly loosens the trigger. It's now at a perfect firmness without being too rigid to induce fatigue in your fingers. Also, if you're not used to firing light guns for a good fifteen minutes or so, you'll get used to it.

4-0 out of 5 stars Great light gun for the price
This light gun is a good bargain. Also, it looks pretty cool too.The gun is mostly black, with the buttons, trigger, and trimming in the XBOX green colors. The gun works great for House of the Dead, and Starsky and Hutch (haven't tried it for Silent Scope Yet).I'm not sure if this works on a rear-projection TV or a High Definition TV, but most CRT screens that aren't HD, will probably do great with this gun.

Positives

? Light weight
? overall appearance of the gun is good.
? Reload button is on the butt of the handle, so reloading makes you feel like you're putting a clip in the gun.
? Gun features a D=pad on the back(where the hammer would be), select, start, X, Y, A, & B buttons.
? Gun features 3 different modes, including auto reload.
? Gun has a the standard break-away cord, like your standard issued XBOX controller.Benefits of this:When your buddy walks in front of the TV and trips up on your cord, the cable will detatch and NOT yank your console to the ground and/or yank the gun out of your hand, smashing it on the floor.
? The cable is also a good length, and since it is a breakaway cord, it is probably compatible with the controller extension cables... However, I'm not sure how effective this gun will be, sitting across the room.

NEGATIVES

? Might be too light.I'm afraid to drop it, because it feels like it is very fragile.
? Force Feedback is a little weak, and doesn't add much to the experience, but it is there, which is better than nothing at all.
Overall, a good gun for the price. If you know where to look, you can get one brand new for a good price.:)I got mine for $12.95 + shipping.Happy Hunting!

5-0 out of 5 stars A great light gun for XBOX!
I really wanted a light gun game for XBOX.I searched and looked at a ton of light guns including the mad catz. Most people said that they were unresponsive and didn't work. Then I saw this gun...it looked cool and sounded like it was good, so I got it.I'm glad I got this gun!It works perfectly on XBOX, with B button on the bottom and side, a control pad on the back, and Start, back, X, and Y on it.It responds well and is durable. The only problem that I have had, and it has only happend once, is that if you play for a very long period of time, the trigger will just stop working, you'll press it and it doesn't register with the game.Like I said, this only has happened once, and I was playing for a long time.If you want an XBOX light gungame (right now only House of the Dead 3, and I'm pretty sure Virtua Cop 3 soon)and you need a gun to go with it, then I would reccomend this one! ... 5-0 out of 5 stars A gamer's must
I used the non-electronic Game-dr. for a year and had to buy the electronic one. If your a gamer and want to resurface your old scatched cds I highly recommend it. Most of the pople who gave this bad reviews probably resurfaced it too much or didnt buy a new resurfacing disk. All my games and Cds that didnt work work excellent now.

5-0 out of 5 stars The Real Deal
I did a lot of research on this product before deciding to purchase it, but with all the negative reviews posted i was real hesitant.I finally decided to throw caution to the wind and buy it.I needed something to repair my X-Box games that were deeply scratched and would not even boot up.After getting the game doctor i choose a game that i did not cared about loseing.I followed the directions to the letter and put my game in the system and turned it on, and just like magic it booted flawlessly!!I would recomend this product to any one with the same delema.

1-0 out of 5 stars Lame Doctor This Sucks
I agree with all the other bad reviews. Spent the money on the doctor and it made 2 discs worse. Followed instructions to the letter. I'm gonna sue for malpractice!!

1-0 out of 5 stars BOO.
this thing sucks.I BROUGHT it and it ieft marks.I tryed again.DO notbuy this.they waste yourgood money.hear me this .they sould sue the creator of this for spending your money.

1-0 out of 5 stars it works occasionally
i bought this to repair a game i got for free that was scratched up to hell (didn't go through the top though).i used it on both discs (it was Red Alert: Retaliation for the psx) and then it worked pretty good, the only thing is that i still don't get music.i then went on repairing my brothers pc games, after the second one the strip that grinds down the protective layer was ruined and started scratching the disc. The free replacement wheel had its strip fallen off due to using crappy glue.Don't buy this, it'll eat up way to much money and can destroy your game CD! ... 1-0 out of 5 stars biggest regret
I heard of the xbox way before it came out, my friend suggested that i should wait for a xbox instead of a ps2 because it was american made. So i waited and when i had enough money i brought a xbox, which cost 300 at that time.I was hoping for great game seclection.A few month later, there were tons and tons of alsome game on the ps2 and not the xbox, even so more for gamecube, so i thought to myself how can this be? If anyone is thinking about buying an xbox, here only one reason to really buy it, is if u like sport games and u have xbox live. Other than that buy a ps2 like i am going today. the good thing bout xbox is it really durable and doesn't break, and in all my 3 years experience it had ever got a disk error on the drive, sure their the bad disk thing, but all u have to do is clean it with alchohol and it work fine.I never really brought anygame for the xbox because most of them suck, one for example is full spectrum warrior(i am a huge military first person shooter fan out there!)and went i rented it i was so dissapointed because it was so boring and repeative.EVen gamecube had better game than xbox, as some of my friend knows i am a huge wrestle fan and when both raw came out on the xbox i was so dissapointed in it replay value and overall, even gamecube wrestling title was second to none.

i am very dissapointed with the quality of all xbox games, and yes even halo 2 suck! Im not saying that u shouldn't get a xbox, but if u do make sure u have a ps2 and gamecube first.
I think the only game that is good right now is espn nfl 2k5 with is totally the best so far.Who know maybe xbox will get better, but one thing is for sure, japanese console are always far superior.

so this is my biggest regret in buying a console, heck i rather have a ps1 game than xbox, that how bad it is.Throught experience i have witness that american games aren't good and still need ALOT of improvement! (alot)

Okay let me ask u guys a few thing, remember when their were game commerical like hot wheels and stuff on tv, they were both for ps2 and gc but not for xbox, those were the time that i thought to myself why did i buy an xbox

I hope this review help you, i know that xbox is newer but it is far less better in anyway beside the system itself

here is my breakdown of the xbox:
    system can not break
xbox controller in my opinion is better than ps2
xbox live is the same as ps2 live, i rather have ps2 online cuz i love socom
xbox has 4 port and ps2 only has 2, but i want 2 cuz most ps2 game are single player mission and that what i can only afford
    online
well if u get ps2 u can use a dial up instead of dsl or broadband for xbox!
ps2 is a whole lot better games and a whole lot more stuff to add on
here a plus for the xbox, u don't really need a memory card!
and u can play game on it for more than 12 hours and it wouldn't get hot
now if u buy a ps2 u get the smackdown series and gta series, not to mention kingdom heart, and metal gear solid and a whole bunch of top game on ps2 and ps1!

final comment: the bottom line is buy a ps2, u won't regret it, i garantee it, and second buy a gc after u brought a ps2, and only buy a xbox if u have broadband and your parent or if your a guardian that have money for xbox live, becuz it the best.
that it, and this review is from a 16 years old who have experience with the xbox for 3 years now

i hope this help all of u reading this and enjoy your break!

last but not least, the xbox is the worst console of any generation, that right even dreamcast is better.

now do u all know why, because it the first console that is american made, so there always go with japanese console

    a true gamer

5-0 out of 5 stars X-box is a great system
First off, I have all three systems - PS2, Gamecube, and X-box. PS2 is a great system with plenty of games, online capability, and nice graphics. Gamecube is good if you have kids. The majority of the games are very simplistic and the graphics aren't that great. I have a few games on that system that I like, such as Animal Crossing. The X-box is the system that my husband and I use the most. I had to post a review after reading another review on here that made me laugh:

"Sure, sure the thing may never need a memory card, sure it has the best processing system and graphics except for the PC, but it lacks Gameplay and variety. There are not any good games being made for Xbox."

Obviously, this person hasn't been out much! X-box has everything that he claims it doesn't. Great gameplay, variety, and great games. My husband and I have different taste in games and we both have ones that we love on x-box.

It's true that a lot of the games are available for the PC too, but I would much rather have it on X-box for many reasons. 1. I have a huge tv hooked up to the X-box, it's much nicer than playing on a little computer screen! 2. I can invite friends over and play multiplayer games. 3. As great as computers are, games are getting so much more demanding on systems(such as graphics cards and memory) that not all games will work on all systems! I am guaranteed that the game will work on the X-box.

All in all, I would have to say that the X-box is my favorite system due to the fact that it has a huge variety of games and the graphics are great.

5-0 out of 5 stars The truth about the x box
I bought myself an x box a little while ago an must say I am very chuffed with it. It does everything i wanted it to do and tons more besides. A load of people seem to only notice its size and weight, but let me tell you now: IT REALLY DOESN'T MATTER. Put it this way, it's as fast as a pc (at the time), but a lot smaller. Besides who really cares about the weight anyway, I mean its not like you should take it for walks is it? Just plug it in and leave it where it is.
The graphics are simply put the BEST around, the DVD player actually works (unlike the ps2, believe me i got one of them aswell) and the sound is awesome. The controller is perfectly fine, if you dont like it get an s-controller. Simple.
The fact that you can rip cd's is a huge bonus. You can create playlists on it and believe me, it stores a lot of music. It is basically great for houseparties aswell as games. The games are good and getting better all the time as more and more are released. Finally, while the ps2 is also a great machine it has one huge problem that the x box doesn't have: it's short life span. The ps2 will only last for about 2-4 years. Firstly it stops playing ps1 and the blue/purple discs, then a short time later it packs up alltogether. Not very good, is it sony?!
oh, and my x box has NEVER crashed.
if you are young: buy a gamecube.
if you are a a bit more mature and want the best system: buy the X-BOX
just don't buy a PS2, at least wait for PS3.

4-0 out of 5 stars Excellent System, but not without its flaws.
The Xbox is an excellent system for any gamer. The graphics are amazing, the sounds is killer and {most} of the games are excellent. Unfortunately, just like the PS2 and Gamecube, the Xbox is not without its faults.
    Good:

    Amazingly detailed graphics
    Capable of incredible sound effects
Can play CDs and DVDs (not without a remote though)
    4 Controller Ports
    Good variety of Games
Well Supported by 3rd party developers
Some excellent exclusive games (Halo, Project Gotham 2, Halo 2)
150 dollar price point is 30 dollars less than PS2 (but still 50 dollars more than Gamecube)
    Best Online Service (Xbox Live!)

    The Bad

System weighs a lot-don't expecting anything you can bring on vacation
System is ugly-basically a big, clunky box
Lack of RPGS (save Knights of the Old Republic)
Lack of quirky (strange Japanese/Anime/just plain weird) games such as Mister Mosquito and Animal Crossing.
Lack of "kiddie" games- Xbox is geared toward the 15+ crowd
EA Sports games are not online compatible (the PS2 versions are though)

Overall the Xbox is an excellent system choice for gamers who love action/shooter/online games. The Xbox excels in these areas;in fact it blows the competition out of the water. But, due to the lack of games in certain genres, I have to knock the score down a star. That being said, if you are looking for a graphics powerhouse that is home to the best online games (Mech Assault, Rainbow Six, Splinter Cell Pandora's Tommorow) and the best action games (Halo, Halo 2, Brute Force, Deus Ex 2), then you should purchase an Xbox as soon as possible.

4-0 out of 5 stars Great Graphics, but some problems
The Xbox is a great system. It pumps out top notch graphics and has some killer exclusives. Unfortunately, it is not perfect, just like the other 2 next gen systems out.
    Pros:

Amazing Graphics (The Xbox's graphics are much better than either Gamecubes' or Ps2's)
Built in 8 GB Hard Drive
    Best online service (Xbox Live)
Halo, Halo 2, Project Gotham Racing 2- some of the best games ever
    The Controller S is comfortable
    Good third party support

    Cons:

The system is massive and weighs around 10-12 pounds
Have to buy a remote for 30 dollars to play DVDs
Basically No Rpgs for the system (Except the excellent Star Wars: Knights of the old republic)
Not many niche games (quirky games a la Pa Rappaa or Mr Mosquito for PS2 are absent on the Xbox)

Overall, the XBox is a graphics and sound powerhouse that has a very bright future. Unfortuantely, its lack of RPGs and niche games force me to knock down the score a star. Still an excellent choice for any gamer ... Read more

the s controller is a auesome buy i have three and my big controller is horrible i let my dad use it and i always win but when he uses the s controller he wins .so if u want to buy a controller the s controller is the very one to buy and if u only have two or one buy two or three.

4-0 out of 5 stars Sleek
Although I don't own my own Xbox - I always play someone else's because I already own a PS2, I never-the-less feel obligated to add my thoughts on the matter. The new Xbox controller S is one sleek piece of equipment - FAR superior to that original monstrousity of a controller those idiots at Microsoft initially came up with (it was that super ugly, gigantic, and clunky original controller that turned me off from buying the Xbox when it came out). The new controller S is visually appealing to the eyes. Although the PS2 controller is still slightly more attractive, the controller S is an extremely close second. The controller s is smaller and handier than the original, has easier to use controls, and is VERY comfortable to grip. Just compare the different controllers of Xbox, PS2,and Gamecube by holding them in your hands, and fiddling around with the controls. You will see that the Xbox controller S has the nicest fit of them all on the palms of your hands (the Gamecube is the least comfortable). Ironically the controller S was originally designed for the Xbox release in Japan because the original controller was deemed too big for Japanese players. I really think those folks at Microsoft should plan things a little better before jumping in to the game....

3-0 out of 5 stars Not comfortable after playing Galaga for a while...
I didn't mind this controller at all in the beginning. But after playing Galaga for a while, the thumb gets quite tiring since we have to press the A button quickly for the entire game.I play the same game on GC, it's easier and I get higher scores.I wish there's even a smaller version of the Xbox controller that's designed with women and kids in mind.My conclusion -- do NOT play Galaga type games on Xbox, play it on GC or PS2 :)

1-0 out of 5 stars This is the best thing ever!!!
Man this item is fantastic. I love wasting $80 on pointless furniture. Getting a great cheap plastic looking set that holds all my games and systems.... Man I must be in heaven. Not only that but it breaks easily, does this thing have no limit? So I bought this great video center around a year ago.... And what happens it breaks. I had it for a couple of weeks and does it look like dog crap. It looks like you're in a baby kids room. Similar to those play centers in day cares or McDonalds. Man that is lame.... I just love having children decor in my house, and it has to be $80. If I were you.... I would just let my systems, TV, and CDs sit in some tubberware. Believe me it would be 50X safer!!

5-0 out of 5 stars THE BEST!!
i bought this video center for my son for christmas as well a ps2 to store and at first i did not think that it would fit in the drawer part but it did but the ps2 games do not fit on the top left and right slots because of the length of the games however they do fit on the sides where you would put the vhs tapes and that is where my son has added his games so you would have to be a little creative with it. i had seen a review where a lady had bought this item for her son and she was very disappointed once she could not place the games in the slots and stated not to purchase. everyone out there! do not listen to that its a must have and it does help with organizing your room area! and the price at the time during the holiday season i could not resist for $71.99 plus free shipping! WOW!

4-0 out of 5 stars good buy
We thought this was very handy storage. It holds all our video equiptment just right.

5-0 out of 5 stars Idea
This looks like a great organizer, but with you people that have a x-box ps2 game cube and a dvd player you can buy cd cases that music cds come in and place the ps2 xbox and game cube games in those along with the dvds. It would be a bit of money depending on how many games and dvds you have though...

2-0 out of 5 stars If you have a PS2, or a DVD player, DON'Tbuy this!
I was very excited when the box first arrived at our doorstep. My eight year old son and I managed to get the unit put together, after a little tugging to get some of the screws to go into place. We carried it up to his room, and put the T.V. and V.C.R. into place. My excitement turned to bitter dissapointment, however, when I tried to fit my son's PS2 games into the shelves desighned to hold CD's or VCR tapes. The PS2, and DVD cases are too big to fit into these slots. I had just not realized that they would not work with this model. The whole reason I ordered this unit was too try to organize some of the mess in his room, so this will not work for me. I will probably try to return it, and order the newer model. ... Read more

4-0 out of 5 stars Behold- an orange controller.
While it doesn't look like it, the GameCube's controller is very comfortable. Forget that it looks like a robot threw up all over the thing. Holding it doesn't require any adjusting, and finding all the buttons is a sinch. Unless you have huge lumberjack hands, playing games with this shouldn't be a problem. But, there is something that keeps the controller from getting 5 stars. While it is comfortable, there's still the matter of each button. And that's where things are a little bumpy. I'm surprised people haven't mentioned it yet.

First are the main 4 buttons: A, B, X and Y. While I these buttons don't bug me as much as the ones I'm about to get into, Nintendo could've tried a little harder. Why is the B button 1/3 the size of the A button? When I played Smash Bros. Melee for the first time, I was a little irritated that they did this, but adjusted in no time. Having all the special attacks performed with the smallest of the buttons seemed weird. While it is the biggest of the 4, the A button is easily accessable, and there are no problems there. X and Y are the same size, but their placement seems a little off, especially when compared to other system controllers out there, even some of Nintendo's previous efforts. Next, the 3 shoulder buttons L, R and Z, are a bit iffy. L and R are massive, and can be clicked in to serve alternate functions in some games. While it's nice to see that they're basically translations of the Xbox and ps2's analog sticks that can be clicked in, pressing in huge puffy buttons feels akward from time to time. And that Z button surprised me. I didn't know it was there the first time I played a GC game back in 2001. But now that I finally have the system, I got used to it. The C-stick is a welcome addition to any controller, mostly serving as a camera adjustment button for some of Nintendo's first party games. The main analog stick is equally nice, though it's in more of an octagon shape holster as opposed to the other current generation console ones, which are a complete 360˚. The Start button is just too small for my tastes. It's too high, and microscopic compared to everything else, even the B button. But what takes the cake is the useless d-pad. What happened? It's just barely the same size as a GameBoy's d-pad. The Xbox, Dreamcast, and even the old 64 had normal sized ones. But here, it's a joke. Don't even think about playing the one whole 2D fighter the system has with this thing. And if you're going to be playing some GameBoy games with the GameBoy Adapter, make sure to import the SNES-looking controller, with a real d-pad. It's nowhere near as small or stiff (as dirty as that sounds) as the one here.

Also, the Spice/orange color is pretty cool. As far as I know, this is the first real orange controller, excluding the transparent 64 consoles late in that system's life. Unless a lime green one comes out (doubtful at this point in the generation wars), this will probably be the most zany of colors. It's pretty slick.

While I mostly just griped and complained about the controller, it's still pretty good. I'm partial to the Xbox's of the 3 main systems out, mostly due to the better trigger buttons and flawless d-pad. If anything, the GC's controller beats the ps2's in the d-pad category...but just barely. At least the GC's is connected. The ps2's is seperated by direction, which is a dumb move, and makes fighting games a chore. Finally, be sure to get this first party version, and not some sorry-ass Mad Catz one. The price for first party accessories is always right, and the quality is first class.

5-0 out of 5 stars Best Controller
I do have four controllers. This is the one I use the most.I have a WaveBird wireless, two indigo controllers, and a third party controller.I like the unique orange color. The only reason why I do not use the wireless more (especially for single player games), is because the orange one rumbles.I like my controllers to vibrate in my hands.DO NOT by a third-party controller. The original, Nintendo made, first party controllers are the best. The Gamecube has the best controller of the BIg 3.PS2's controller is too confusing. The XBOX: What's up with the black & white buttons?

5-0 out of 5 stars five stars cuz its ORANGE 8-)
ok who doesn't love the real GC controller? i cant stand the bigger and smaller versions, theyre so uncomfortable, the origonal ones are smooth and sized perfectly, unlike those xbox controlers, which are preety bulky. of course its a controller so that immediatley earns it 4 stars, cuz its essential. i give it the fifth cuz its ORANGE I LOOOOOOOVVVEE ORANGE 8-)

5-0 out of 5 stars An excellent controller in a fun color
The official Nintendo Gamecube controller is the best console controller on the market, for ANY system. In my opinion, it's also the best controller that there ever has been, for any system, and I've been playing video games for a long time.

This controller is shaped so that when you pick it up, it feels like it was molded for your hands. It is extremely comfortable to hold, and your hands won't hurt after playing games for a few hours. Not only is it the highest-quality controller out there for the Gamecube, but you will also never need to buy a Microcon or a Pro Mini controller, because it is an excellent controller for hands of any size. For example, I can't use standard XBox controllers because they're so HUGE that I can't even comfortably reach all the buttons.I even had to buy a Microcon for my Ps2, because I couldn't reach the shoulder buttons on the standard Ps2 controller. Not so with the Gamecube--the shape and the layout of the buttons is GREAT and anyone should be able to comfortably reach and use all of them.

Finally, I really love this bright orange color.Indigo and jet (black) get kind of boring after a while, and it's nice that they offer something else.Out of my four controllers, the orange one is my favorite. :)

Don't buy third-party controllers just because they're cheaper! This is the best controller out there! ... Read more

2-0 out of 5 stars Poor implimentation
I was incredibly eager for this headset to come out after my Logitech headset worked so poorly. I purchased this one and had about a minute to play with it before catching a plane ride for a week's vacation. When I got home, I again tried it out and found that I was not terribly pleased. While the sound was clear, it wasn't nearly loud enough. I had to ask folks to repeat things. My end of the conversation was only slightly distorted however. The other problem is the fact that the darned thing wouldn't stay in my ear. I have earbuds with the same exact earcup, but because of the weight of the earpiece (which isn't much, but enough) it kept slowly slipping off of my ear. A bit annoying if you're playing a game.

Then came the problem with the battery. I found that after a time, the headset wouldn't hold a charge for more than a half-hour. I don't know about other gamers, but I binge on games. When I get a chance to play, it is for several hours... or days.

I called customer support (GS won't take it back after a week) and was told that they only offer to replace the product or give you alternate products from their line. I wasn't happy, but what can you do? I'm probably going to ebay this turkey. I wouldn't recommend this item because of the ill-fit, the loudness (or lack thereof), and the poor warranty. I'll probably give up and wait for Xbox2 to worry about wireless again. A shame, too, since I spent a pretty penny on a logitech wireless controller. It's wireless, sure, and it is clear, but is extremely lacking in other areas.

3-0 out of 5 stars Nyko Wireless Headset Review
I was rather impressed by the idea of going full wireless with my Logitech Wireless Controller and Nyko Wireless headset for Xbox Live. WARNING: I could not use it unless I already had an Xbox live communicator. It will not connect unless it is plugged into the com part of the xbox communicator. Which means I had to spend an additional 30$ for a communicator. If you can get a cheap communicator then its definetely worth it. ... Read more
