3-0 out of 5 stars Phlawed... yet Phantastic! Erm... sorry... -_-;;;
Phantasy Star Online was like no RPG I had played up until the wondrous day I got it off of my uncle when he got the second copy of this game. For one thing most RPG's are... I'm sorry fot the few who aren't, really crappy carbon copies of Final Fantasy, which I actually like.

When it was ported from the Dreamcast (R.I.P.) it had lots of extra stuff (Little sunburst effects during "Rafoie" and color changing for getting frozen.) and some added missions, such as "Central Dome Fire Swirl" which takes place to the heroic sounding "Honou no Angel" song, the japanese Burning Rangers theme (Props to those of you who know what the hell I'm talking about.)

The game is odd, you create a character to play, which is refreshing, since I don't like a lot of characters... but many the skins are basically recolors, thus hurting the score... now to all the Phans (PSO fans) out there, I know this urks many of you as well, and this did kill the score.

This was... I believe to be the first online RPG, which was unconventional because many people played FF and stuff, but this was the Pioneer of online gaming! Erm... capitalized Pioneer... ship reference... nevermind, but a majority of the old skins sucked, which is why I use FOmars, RAmars and HUcaseals (All GC and Xbox exclusive) but truly, this was good.

Sound ranged from calm, natural sounding stuff to insane techno, it suits the game, and saved the score, but there was one thing I did not like, and it has nothing to do with sound, but gameoplay... your character has no personality... that's all for now!

5-0 out of 5 stars PSO is the Best!
PSO, or Phantasy Star Online, is one of the best series ever produced by Sega. This game is so huge it would take 500+ hours to fully experience this game. Plus, you do not have to play online; you can play offline. But, I would reccomend getting Phantasy Star Online Blue Burst which comes out in Spring '05 for computer. It includes Episode 1, 2, and, soon to come, 4(Episode 3 was an entirely different game, even though it is in the series). PSO IS THE BEST!!!

5-0 out of 5 stars Great game
If you like to play games for 200+ hours, then this is the game for you. There is millions of different items, weapons, and other stuff to find. If you follow the missions you'll discover a delightful story and characters. Enjoy!

Yes!After 3 years of them postponing this game it is out in a month and a half! After Microsoft bought out RareWare it was their top priority and now it is out!Sorry PS2 owners, but unfortionately for you, there will be no Live and Reloaded for you, because it is produced by MICROSOFT.However, you CAN play it if you want... well you can play the Nintendo 64 version.AHAHAHAHA!The demo kicks ass, but i hate the people who are calling it a WWII game, just because the demo level is the Saving Private Ryan level.Get a life and play the original before you make any assumptions.Awesome game and it will be mine, oh yes, it will be mine!!!!

5-0 out of 5 stars Is it on PS2?
I hope it's on PS2 as well. I loved BFD one and this looks even better. It just goes to show you a simple CD can create so much hope.Who couldn't like this game? I'll tell you the parents who think these M games are wrong. Those ignorant jerks can cram-it! There the ones causing all the problems in the world not paying attention to the real issues, like terrorism. Anyway BFD F***IN RULES!!!!!!!!!!!!

4-0 out of 5 stars For Mac users - this Edition is Not the Version for the Mac
Amazon made a mistake and put down that this version is for the Macintosh OS X operating system in addition to Windows. That is not the case.Activision does not release games on the MAC platform. They work with other, third party companies to do so.Aspyr is the company that makes Call of Duty on the Mac.Search for games by Aspyr and you'll find it there.

Just an FYI so Mac users don't buy the wrong game.

5-0 out of 5 stars Absolutly Awsome!
This game is so much fun, and one of the mosty addictive games I have ever played, next to Final Fantasy X.At first it takes a while to understand how everything works, but it is worth it.I seriously could play this game for like 20 hours at a time, taking not pee breaks or for food.Buy it!!!

5-0 out of 5 stars more addictive than... anything
I can play this game for hours on end.If I beat every map, I can just download more that other fans have made using the fantastic map editor.A great day includes playing this game with a few friends while drinking a Sobe and listening to Queens of the Stoneage.

5-0 out of 5 stars I love it
I first played it at my friends house, me and my friend couldn't find the disc for civilisation 2 so we decided to play heroes 3, i thout it was real mad, now I want it.

5-0 out of 5 stars One of the best computer games I've ever played
My short list of best computer games I've ever played:
Sims
Heroes III
Roller Coaster Tycoon

I am a 19 year old female who doesn't usually enjoy fighting games, but i do like fantasy. My only complaint for this game is that you need someone's IP address (or vice versa) to do multiplayer, and I've never quite been able to connect and play with someone over the internet. (I always get a message saying it can't connect) Maybe I'm just missing something obvious. But, I have enjoyed countless hours of fun with this game. its a great game to play with a friend or two, or three :) . this is a WONDERFUL strategy game, and has various difficulty levels (great for someone like me who doesnt want to deal with expert level, but doesnt always want it to be too easy). This game is well worth any money I paid for it. I have been playing this game for about four years now, and I still love it. Buy it!! :)

5-0 out of 5 stars Heroes Of Might And Magic--and Beyond
Heroes III Complete is the best Heroes of Might and Magic game yet. This one has not only the original "Heroes III" (The Restoration of Erathia), but also includes both expansion packs (Armageddon's Blade and the Shadow of Death).

If you're new to the Heroes of Might and Magic series, then here's a quick overview. You start out with only one hero and only one town in a standard scenario. You can also hire more heroes once you've built a tavern. You can build different buildings in your town, but only one per day.Different buildings allow you to do different things, such as improve the fortification of your town, increase your weekly income in gold, learn different spells, and aquire troops for your army.Once you've built up a good army, you can go out and conquer land and other towns!

I like this even better than the Heroes IV game because it comes with a map editor and campaign editor. In the map editor, you can create your own world to play on, customizing everything down to the last little Gnoll Marauder. You can even customize the victory and loss conditions. The campaign editor allows you to string many maps together--custom and pre-made--into one campaign. This is a really good game. ... 5-0 out of 5 stars Incredibly Fun!!!
If you're still doubtful about buying this game due to negative reviews, read no more and Just Buy It. First of all Winning Eleven 8 can't possibly be compared with any Fifa edition. This game is exciting, fun, and most certainly realistic. Once you get control of a player, you can imagine it is you dribbling the ball and taking spectacular shots at goal at any angle you desire and however fast you want it to go. A great feature is that each player is given distinct and original skills. Pavel Nedved is unstoppable or if you like putting a bit of crazy speed, give the ball to Ronaldinho and even bust a "gambeta" here and there. I can continue writing all night long but then again you need time to pay for this game. One last thing, there is a bad aspect to it, it turns to be time consuming once your fully into it.

2-0 out of 5 stars The lack of licensing ruins it as always.
Like any other game in the sries winning eleven eight puts a strong emphasis on gameplay, and being a big fan of the sport i appreaciate that fact. But once again the lack of licensing brings the games presentation down along with visuals that cant compare to the fifa series. I have been buying both fifa and winning eleven 8 games side by side for a long time, and every year i enjoy fifa more. While i can understand why this game is said to be better then fifa and is pereffered by gamers it still doesnt work for a statistical buff like me who finds licensing to be an important part of ne soccer game.

5-0 out of 5 stars Best game ever
This is the best soccer game ever; you cannot imagine how real and how exiting until you play it. If you love soccer, you will love this game. It gives you the latest updated information about the teams and the players. I strongly recommend this game.

5-0 out of 5 stars The best computer game ever written!!!
(TRUTH IN REVIEWING)I have been involved with computers and games since 1978.I wrote two pioneering games for the Apple II and the Mac, and then gave up on computer games around 1983.

Since then, I have really enjoyed Shogun and Roller Coaster Tycoon -- but briefly. This is the first game I have seen in YEARS which really has the power -- which really makes people want to play it!

Perhaps most important is the basic choice -- soccer (football for the rest of the non-Yank world!:-))Football is a really fun game which almost everyone enjoys!(I would never have bought a video game for basketball, just for an example, nor for American football...)

But the next most important thing is the excellence of the software implementation. And here, I must confess, my jaw drops.I have never seen anything in the software world done so well, or so thoroughly.

This game is so GOOD and so much FUN that it entirely justifies the price of the hardware (PS2) to run it on,just as Visicalc in the old days (at $150) justified the purchase of an entire Apple II system to run it on.

It is that good!

Highest possible recommendation, and sore fingers!!!!

5-0 out of 5 stars Winning Eleven 8
I like most people I know struggled through the flaws in past FIFA series.I read reviews and kept hearing the name Winning Eleven and so I decided to go for it and bought Winning Eleven 7.The game was great but Winning Eleven 8 is even better.
-Improved gameplay
-Deeper Master League
-More Licensed Club Teams and Real Player Names

I own FIFA 2005 and Winning Eleven 8 is much better (except for the online gameplay).
The question is, should I buy Winning Eleven 8 or FIFA 2005?
The games are very different and one game might suit one person more than another but here are reasons to buy one or the other...

FIFA 2005
-Online Play: This feature is great.Playing the computer can become rather boring after a while but being able to play anyone anywhere in the world at you ability is amazing.I played online for a while but became sick of other players using certain tricks or flaws in the game to win like scoring off every kickoff.
-Career Mode: This mode is very deep with every officially licensed league. The benefits is you can switch leagues and teams throughout your career (unlike WE8) but the computer is so predictable and easy to play against that I didn't have the patience to complete the first season.
-Graphics: The graphics are amazing with players, jerseys, and stadiums appearing like it was television.

Winning Eleven 8
-Gameplay: The gameplay is amazing, it has improved from WE7 and the computer AI is much more difficult.A new 6 star difficulty is available to unlock and I don't see this game becoming too easy for anybody. The crowd's participation makes you sweat pushing for an equaliser or holding a one goal lead.Playing with two people is much better than FIFA 2005 with quicker game play and no cheap goals. You'll play for hours with a friend who is at the same skill as you.
-Graphics: Personally I think the graphics are almost as good as FIFA.The difference doesn't bother me except for the uniforms which are kind of plain on the unlicensed teams. The jerseys for unlicensed teams are the same colors but don't have logos or sponsors on them.
-Master League: It is even more advanced and has more features than WE7.Although their isn't license leagues and cups, it does replicate real soccer.Yes, Manchester United is in the game as for the top 100 or so European clubs including licensed Italian, Spanish, and Dutch leagues. Each league has a cup and there is a WEFA Championship (Champion's League) and WEFA Master's Cup (UEFA Cup). With all new Master League edit mode, you can change which teams are in what leagues and create a "Power League" which is very entertaining. All in all this feature is worth buying the game itself.

If you love European Football and know a little bit about the teams and their players, than Winning Eleven 8 is for you.If you like arcade style soccer, buy FIFA 2005.True soccer fans will love this game and the more people that buy it, the more licensed leagues will ensue in future versions of Winning Eleven, so buy it today! ... 3-0 out of 5 stars *Boring*
I played this game before, and do not buy it, it's just plain BORING. All it is? Fighting. That's ALL!!!! Believe me, this is not the best game you'll ever see.

2-0 out of 5 stars Not a good choice for younger kids
My 4 yr old is crazy about The Incredibles and counted the days until his Incredibles game arrived in the mail. It was very disappointing. It is a lot of punching and being shot at and that's about it. Since The Incredibles appeal to a very large and young audience (and I know older folks too). I really thought the game would be more appropriate for younger children. It's not. My son loves Zelda, Urbz, and Mario Kart but unfortunatelythis was a waste of money and a big disappointment for a great little guy.

5-0 out of 5 stars Awsome!!!!

1-0 out of 5 stars This game SUCKS!

5-0 out of 5 stars Luv it,Luv it,Luv it!!!!!!!!
I am a big fan of the movie and for me this game was great.I loved the whole thing.I wish there was another incredibles video game.Even though it was challenging in some parts once you get the hang of it it's great.Level 8 is especially hard because you get killed very easily.Even though you have to keep a list of passwords I loved the game and it was based a lot on the movie. For someone who loves the movie this is a great game!! ... 5-0 out of 5 stars THE BEST STAR WARS COMBAT GAME EVER!!!
I LOVE THIS GAME TOO MUCH!!! BUT WHICH IS BETTER=OUTCAST OR ACADEMY!!!!!

4-0 out of 5 stars Mac users can be Jedi!
Jedi Knight II: Jedi Outcast is one of the first games I bought for my Mac.Gameplay is challenging and fun!The single player storyline is entertaining and pulls you into the game and keeps you there. After a slow start with no Force Powers or light saber, you really will begin to feel like a Jedi Knight.Kyle Katarn's character is one of the best characters I've seen in any game, and could easily be a film character in a Star Wars movie. Some of the most memorable levels for me are fighting as a Jedi alongside Jedi Master Luke Skywalker against a half dozen or so Reborn Dark Jedi, fighting criminals in Nar Shadaa where you really must make use of your arsenal of cool weapons, and the two key battles against Tavion and Desann.I have other, newer games, but Jedi Knight II: Jedi Outcast is the game I keep coming back to play.

The multiplayer matches are fairly standard Quake 3 Arena fare, with one exception, the one-on-one Lightsaber Duel. You may think you're a Jedi Knight after dispatching hundereds of storm troopers and Dark Jedi in the single player game, but the real creative battles happen in Lightsaber Duels against real people online.Just please remember to fight with honor and bow before combat.

Jedi Outcast has reasonable system requirements will play well on any modern G4 or G5 Mac.

4-0 out of 5 stars Jedi Academy
As other people have said, the plot for one-player mode is very...Well, almsot pathetic. It left me confused, it didn't explain alot. But the game is still enjoyable, the graphics are OK.

In Multi-Player, you can fight other players. You can choose what you want you charecter to look like and change it as much as you want and pick your light saber. My only complaint about Multi-player mode is everyone there is rude. Well, almost everyone. There are certain clubs and "cults" where they go around calling non-members of their club/cult "Lamers".

Overall, it's a pretty good game.

4-0 out of 5 stars Lightsabers, now that's different!
I am by no means a hardcore gamer, but for any fan of shooters, this is a great one, and it gives you a chance to get away from just shooting a bunch of goons (in this case, stormtroopers).Instead you can run around with a lightsaber and hack everything up ( I did this rather gleefully). For a game as old as this one is, it looks good, I'm not sure how it compares to a game using an unmodified Quake III engine but it looks almost as good as Star Trek: Elite Force 2, which is undoubtedly the best Quake game out there.

5-0 out of 5 stars Still the best Star Wars game out there
To date, I've played almost all of the Star Wars games released- starting way, way back at the black & white DOS game where your primary (and only) goal is to center your crosshairs on a weaving TIE fighter and blow it up with a push of the fire button. I'm a former flight sim fanatic (not so much now, due to the sad state of the genre), a current RPG fanatic, and I absolutely detest FPS games. This is largely due to the fact I get splattered whenever I join a deathmatch, but is also because these games generally lack even a remote semblance of a storyline and characterization.

Having said that, and keeping in mind that I've also played the excellent X-Wing, TIE Fighter, X vs. TIE, X-Wing Alliance, Knights of the Old Republic, &c (I could go on for quite a while with this) one must add extra weight to the fact that I really like Jedi Outcast. And yes, I am aware that it's a shooter. So the big question, of course, is why?

First and foremost, this FPS actually has a plot and characters. Not only that, but it has GOOD plot and characters- so much so that they have actually been inducted into Star Wars canon.* This is an honor no other Star Wars game has yet been able to claim. In fact, the storyline is so good that you will hardly notice that you're not really seeing any new kinds of enemies (stormtroopers and other Imperial slime are still the general fare).

The sound and look is superbly done. Voice acting is top notch, and instead of having full motion video cutscenes with horrible dubbing (as in the first Jedi Knight) they've used the game engine to fill in the blanks. And yes, it actually looks quite good- even compared to current games. Great attention to detail is a key factor in the presentation- when you walk into a cantina, you'll hear the familiar music from the Mos Eisley Cantina in Episode IV. The locations are varied and magnificent, with some taken from the movies (e.g. Cloud City on Bespin) and others from the expanded universe (e.g. Nar Shaddaa).

Now, though I'm a lousy FPS player, I still know enough to say that the weapons are very cool. There's the standard rocket launcher, sniper rifle, close-range grease gun, and default pistol. All have very unique looks and effects, and strengths and weaknesses. Most have an alternate fire mode, which can add interesting functionality (e.g. laser tripwires on mines).

And then, of course, we have the lightsaber and the Force. I cannot overstate how cool these are, and it's impossible to really describe it here. All I can say is that you've really got to play it, and that if you get good with both, two things will happen: you won't use your guns anymore, and you'll really feel like a Jedi master.

The level design is excellent, with puzzles that make you feel smart when you figure them out, but also don't take a total genius to solve. As with the other Jedi Knight, there are secret areas that hold extra power-ups that can seriously aid in your cause. There's also many interesting objectives that require unique interaction with the environment. For example, you'll at one point have the chance to commandeer an AT-ST and run amok through the jungles of Yavin 4, blowing up stormtroopers as you go. How cool is that?

Though I don't use multiplayer mode often (yes, I like this game, but I still get wasted in deathmatches) I have seen enough of it to say that it's comparable to any other FPS out there. There's no vehicles in multiplay, but who needs those when you have the Force? You can challenge others to one-on-one saber duels, play Star Wars-imbued variants of familiar games like capture the flag, and snipe honorlessly at passing Jedi from a balcony.

Given its long, excellent campaign and flawless presentation, Jedi Outcast comes with the highest recommendation. Even if you're not a Star Wars fan, its compelling story and great arsenal of weaponswill appeal to the FPS fanatic. Jedi Outcast is also one heck of a deal now, and still looks great despite its age. Go, and may the Force be with you!

5-0 out of 5 stars Two GTA games in one great package
I have owned this game since the day it came out and I still play it on a regular basis. The games are blast to play over and over as well as just messing around seeing what crazy mayhem you can create next. GTA III is probably my favorite of the two but GTA Vice City is great too. Another great thing about the Xbox versions is that they have improved graphics and effects that the PS2 versions did not. The load times are also much improved as well. The only problem that I can find is that sometimes there is a bit of slowdown in certain parts and you can see that the games would look much better if designed from the ground up for the Xbox. Anyways this is a great collection worth getting if you have never played or owned these incredible games before. If you already own both on the PS2, it probably isn't worth buying again but the faster load times and improved graphics are a nice bonus.

4-0 out of 5 stars The best of the best!
Grand Theft Auto has always been a hit on PS2 which includes GTA 1, 2, 3 and Vice City. Now Rockstar has decided that the hit series will make it onto Xbox. YES! This package comes with Grand Theft Auto 3 and Grand Theft Auto Vice City and they are both games that cannot be missed!

Graphics: The graphics in GTA are superb. And whats better is that they are Xbox enhanced making the graphics even better then the ones in the PS2 version. The chracter models are pretty good, not the best, but still very good. The only thing in terms of graphics that might need a little bit of work on before GTA San Andreas comes out for Xbox is the actual background animation. But other then that, the graphics are great!

Gameplay: The gameplay is probobly the best aspect of the entire game! The controls are fairly easy to get used to and there is so much that you can actually do! From random shootings, to cop chases/fights, to even playing basketball! Did i mention.....Uhh, maybe thats not suitable for a review! To wrap the gameplay feature up, it is definetely one of the best out of all the Xbox games and adds to the reasons why you should definetely pick this one up from the shelves!

Audio: The soundtrack in GTA is also great. With songs wih rock/rage rock theme to them, this feature will have you sitting down listening to the music rather then actually playing the game!

The only problem with this game is that there is no online support which i thought was a real bummer!

As a result, this game is DEFINETELY not geared towards kids, however if you are over eighteen and you do not have this game yet, two words, GET IT!

5-0 out of 5 stars This Game Rocks!!
I am a GTA fanatic. I first got into GTA III when my brother bought it for his PS2. I have an XBox, so you just imagine my dismay when it wasn't out on it. Then, the Double Pack became available with both GTA III and Vice City. There is a God.

Both of these games are great. They both can use your original soundtracks if you've downloaded them on your XBox. So, that is a major plus, but the soundtracks on them aren't bad, either.

I favor Vice City over GTA III, but they are equally as fun. Yes, this game is very gory and violent, but that's the beauty of it. You can do things that you can't get away with in real life. No, this game is not for children. I don't know what the big deal is about them. They ARE rated Mature for a reason. Parents are stupid for buying the game for their 10-year-olds. The GTA series tends to draw a lot of unwanted attention, but that just adds to the popularity of the game.

In June, XBoc will receive the "watered-down" version of San Andreas, which will suck because I have played the PS2 version and it is really strong. But, don't let the bad press discourage you from buying this Double Pack. These games are truly works of art.

4-0 out of 5 stars Vice City is good
But I prefer Grand Theft Auto III... Why? Well, the setting
on GA3 to me is just more interesting. It doesn't have some
of the weapons and stuff. And there is no mall to go into.
However, I miss the subways and some of the missions were
alittle more enjoyable. It's really tough because other
than these things it's basically the same game. The GTA3
was more fun to me.

5-0 out of 5 stars Your girlfriend will mad at you
Most church going people of all faiths believe in a burning hell. Most people of other faiths believe that if you don't except the Lord Jesus and be baptized, you end up in a burning eternal hell's fire. Is this true? Most Primitive Baptist believe so. That the non elect people, end up in this lake of fire. Which they call hell. Is this true? I feel that both are wrong. What does the bible teach about this subject of hell and a burning fire? I am going to try and stay with what most of the Primitive Baptist believe on this subject. I feel that they are wrong in what they teach about the hells in the bible. I hope to show you by the word of God. What the bible teaches about this word hell.

Most of the Primitive Baptist preachers and brethren, won't take time to study this word hell, to see what the true teaching is all about. These hells have been laid to the non elect by the Primitive Baptist, for many years and have look down on other Primitive Baptist, that see these hells as a timely judgment to the people in the true church.

Grand Theft Auto III is my favorite of the two games in this Double Pack.I guess i favor III because it reminds me of cities here on the east coast of USA.Don't get me wrong...Vice City is a fine bit of code as well.I just like my crime spree's to centered around the grimey, brick-laden, urine-filled alleys of the east coast. Its more realistic to me.

5-0 out of 5 stars NBA Street V3
Soar above the rim and leave your mark as NBA Street V3 hits the pavement: 3-on-3, over-the-top, and larger than life. V3 builds on the game-proven, platinum-selling gameplay of the Street series with new tricks and high-flying dunks. All new Trick Stick and interactive Gamebreaker control elevates the game to new heights with unmistakable style and attitude. Featuring today's biggest NBA stars, a collection of the league's all-time greats, and a Hall of Fame cast of past Street characters, V3 is non-stop, fast-paced, action-packed, in-your-face fun. It's as simple as that. NBA Street V3 is packed with highly-detailed authentic street courts, deep player customization options, new Court Creator, and sick online play. Put your rep on the line in the ultimate proving ground: the street courts of NBA Street V3.

The best of the series by far, I would be surprised if there's a better arcade sports game released in 2005. From bouncing the ball off your opponent's noggin to draining a game-winning three, there is just so much opportunity to talk smack, to compete, and best of all, humiliate your friends by dunking on their heads, that I think this is a must-buy for gamers looking for a fun basketball game without having to worry about the differences between a Triangle and a Box formation. Throw in six controllers and go at it in a real three-on-three for even more laughs, more slams, and best of all, more smack.

EA doesn't need an exclusive license to be king of the NBA street court. Midway, you may be second-fiddle for the rest of eternity as NBA Street V3 is the best street game of this generation. The only weak point is the sound, but beyond that, every aspect of V3 crackles with energy and imagination. I am a little bummed that EA still hasn't done anything interesting with jump shots (give us a dozen different trick shots, please), making it all about the dunks. The new GameBreaker is a sick and sweet idea and after putting a few dozen games under my belt, I began coming up with my own custom GameBreaker dunks. The inclusion of the Beastie Boys is inspired, the ability to customize your own court and shoes well-executed, and every GameBreaker dunk a furious thunder of street attitude. It's great, go buy it.

5-0 out of 5 stars Best Basketball Game Out
NBA Street V3 has everything this year. The new Street Challenge is awesome, since you are able to build your own court. The dunk contest is unreal, because you are able to jump over anything. The gameplay is better to, but Bobbito needs a few more lines.May I suggest some ideas for the next version.

1-Use And 1 players against the NBA or against the NBA Street characters.

2-Use some of the old players from NBA Street, combine them together, and make a little challenge out of it, sort of like a new game mode.

OH YEAH, FOR THE DUDE THAT SAID TAKASHI IS NEW, HE IS OLD, REMEMBER, HE WAS ON THE FIRST NBA STREET, PLAYING ON THE ROOF.

5-0 out of 5 stars Best Streetball game made so far!
Don't listen to anyone who gives this game bad reviews. It is awesome. Nothing about this game is bad, except for the fact Bobbito Garcia should change some of his lines. The Street Challenge or "Be a Legend" as in Vol.2 has been upgraded to the fullest. Vol.2's Be a Legend is about a 3.5/10 compared to V3. You can customize your character so much more,fine-tuning to every aspect of the face, even watches, and jewelery, to custom shoes. It has it all. Following that, you create your home court just the way you like it, you can even pick from about 35 cities. A new thing is that when you up ur stats, its out of 99, so it takes a while to boost your skills. You can still trade players to get better players after you beat a team and there are also new street legends. Stretch is back with oldies Bonafide, Dime, and Biggie Littles. Two new players to the game as Tacasie or something (he's chienese) and Phat. And for the people that think NBA Challenge is gone, its not, its just called NBAtreet League and thats also in Street Challenge. Besides the sweet Street Challenge there is a new dunk contest. Its pretty unreal, but loads of fun. You can use props and jump over them (Benches, Ladders, Trash bins, etc.), you can throw the ball up to yourself from a lot of crazy ways and angles, and when your in the air, you'll pull off the sickest dunks you've ever seen. The Gamebreaker must be one of the best parts of the game. Yes, the GB 2 is gone but this is alot better. You jump in the air and pull off the same dunks you would in a contest only you have teammates, so then you can throw the ball to them in mid-flight. You can even do a 3 man dunk show above the rim. You can get a best score of +4 and -1 to your opponents score. The lowest is +2 and -1. The better tricks you do, the better the score. Everything is new and better in this game, even the graphics which are brought to a new level with V3. So go out and buy the best streetball game you'll ever own (until maybe a Vol. 4 comes out) ... 4-0 out of 5 stars A great game - but way too short
I love Yoshi! I remember playing Yoshi's Story quite a bit. The Yoshi Touch and Go is a great little game for quick playing - but it really is too short.

There are two basic modes. In the first mode, Baby Mario is floating downwards through the sky. He floats down in the top screen - and you see what is beneath him in the lower screen. You use the stylus to build a cloud stairway in essence for him to float down - aiming him at the coins, keeping him away from the enemies. You can draw cloud-circles around enemies to turn them into coins. It's a fairly short fall - only a few minutes - but it's fun to balance the enemy-circling and the slide-creating.

Once Mario is on the ground, he's in on essence a "runaway Yoshi" - a Yoshi that plows right, no matter what is in his way. If there's a ditch, he'll simply jump in! Yoshi isn't very bright :) Your job as the Fairy Guardian is to draw cloud bridges, cloud stairs, cloud ramps, etc. to make sure that Yoshi's path is safe. Again, you draw circles around the enemies, and now you also can point at items in the sky to shoot them down with eggs.

The game is a great deal of fun, and nicely non-violent for kids. You can replay the levels to work on your point count and try to get the highest score. But the problem is that this is literally all there is to the game. I'd love to have FAR more levels ... to have secret levels ... to have worlds you move between. Surely, for the price of the game, they could have given us far more to do! I feel like I'm playing the demo version of a real game, but that really is all there is TO the game.

So while I am thrilled with what I got, I really think they should have given us more. Once they got this cool engine designed, how hard could it have been to crank out 10 or 20 different worlds for us to go through, with different colors, themes, etc?

5-0 out of 5 stars The best 2D sidescroller for the DS you could get
Yoshi Touch&Go is a great game. The game uses none of the buttons, just the touch screen. You draw clouds to safely guide baby mario and yoshi away from the monsters. There are four modes.Score attack: try to get the highest score; marathon: go as far as you can without dying; challenge (this is locked): you have 100 seconds, go as far as you can; Time attack: (take a guess what this is) beat the level in the lowest time. This is a terrific and family-friendly game.Just because it's a side scroller doesn't mean that it's not good.

P.S. Please excuse any spelling/grammar errors that you find. Thanks :)

3-0 out of 5 stars A Great Game for on the Go
Truthfully, Yoshi Touch and Go is a game that shows potential, but there are a few things that keep it from being great. It's a unique game, I'll say that much; and it definitely came out on the right system; however, I can't help but admit that this is just another game to show off the Nintendo DS's power. There's gameplay, but no story.

First and foremost, Yoshi Touch and Go was first designed as a tech demo for the Nintendo DS.It's now been spanned into a larger game. For those of you who remember Yoshi's Island, on the SNES (or GBA) this is quite a nostalgic moment for you.

Graphically, Touch and Go doesn't really look much better than Yoshi's Island. Some of it actually looks worse. It's rather colorful, but the characters don't look as crisp as they did in Yoshi's Island. Ideally enough, for the DS this is lacking in the graphics department.

The gameplay is a high point for this game, though.Never have I seen a DS game that requires you to use the touch screen the way this does.In fact, all your actions come from the touch screen. If you can't get across a gap, you'll have to use the stylus to make a bridge cloud.Sometimes you'll have to make a bridge to bypass enemies. If you screw up when making a bridge you can just as easily blow into the MIC of your DS and it vanishes.

There's more to using the touch screen.Tapping on Yoshi makes him jump, and sometimes tapping on enemies will make him throw an egg at them.

As with Yoshi's Island, you're goal is to protect Baby Mario. There are challenges to this, and sometimes it makes the gameplay rather frustrating. You'll have to draw clouds and jump on them to reach him, since most of the gameplay takes place on the touch screen, and sometimes that's easier said than done. You'll have to draw clouds based on where you THINK Mario is going to be.Looks can be deceiving, and a lot of the gameplay, I found, came from trying to memorize where he was going to be in the stages.

The game is rather short, and since there's no storyline, the only thing you can do is play for the love of getting a high score.I don't know about you, but those days of getting the high score and gloating to your friends are over.Where are the secrets?Sadly, this game is devoid of any.

Multiplayer is also availible, but to be truthful, that's not a very large thing in this game. It's nice to play against friends and make them squeal (and it only takes one game pack to do it), but it just becomes boring after a while, and it isn't nearly as impressive as the one player game.

Yoshi Touch and Go is by far one of the better DS titles.I just wish there was more to it.More secrets, more levels and most of all, I wish it had some sort of storyline to it.It's just another game to show what the DS can do, and while that's fine and dandy, DS owners have been waiting for a decent title since it's launch in November!

Not a bad game.If you're looking to see what the DS can really do, pick this up.Otherwise, you might as well wait a little longer for a more decent title.

4-0 out of 5 stars All it needs is a story... More levels would be nice, too.
Yoshi touch & go is a fun, addicting game, with 4 modes that span from going as far as possible without getting killed to scoring the highest amount of points in a short period. I recently bought this game (yesterday) and was pleased, but a little borred by the slow and sometimes annoying gameplay.

Don't get me wrong, this is a great game, but the sky area is hard and difficult to get the hang of.

the game starts with baby mario falling from the sky, attached to 3 balloons, and you need to draw cloud tracks to guide him safely to the ground, and at the same time score as many points as possible. you need to keep him away from enemys, and the easiest way to do that is to simply draw clouds that block baby mario from the mennaces. but to get points, one must draw a circle around the enemy to turn it into a coin trapped inside a red bubble, then slide that bubble to baby mario to get some points. drawing cloud tracks that work is quite hard, in my opinion, but you can get the hang of it... after a while. if an enemy hits baby mario, baby mario looses one of his 3 balloons. dont loose all 3, or you fall.

At the bottom, yoshi catches you. your yoshi's color will depend on how many points you got coming down. the more points, the better yoshi. the better yoshi, the more eggs it can hold and the faster it can run.

The 2nd part of your journey is on yoshi, where you (slowly) trot through a land, while scoring points. to do this, you must either tap the screen to through an egg at an enemy, (you tap it where the enemy is, the game doesnt do that for you), or draw a bubble around an enemy and drag it to yoshi. continue this until you reach the goal, die, or your time runs out.

The game has 4 modes, including single-card download play for you and a friend.

The problem is that this game has almost NO story, and there isn't multiple levels. just 1 level for each mode to play, and get a high score of whatever your trying to get good.

This game is my favorite game for the DS, because it is amazingly fun when you get good and in to it, but the few mistakes that nintendo made gives this game 4 stars. ... Read more

5-0 out of 5 stars Wonderful!
As someone who doesn't feel comfortable enough working out around other people, this program is *perfect* for me. I love how I'm able to customize practically everything so it's tailored just for me. I'm down 13 pounds so far and I'm actually enjoying my daily workout routine, something I haven't been able to say in a long time.

If I could change anything, it would be this:

-Less downtime, Maya sometimes takes a good 5 - 15 seconds to 'find the beat' to get back into routine if I had to pause the program.
-The ability to increase/decrease the difficulty of a single exercise. When Maya asks how I did at the end of a section - where half the exercises were too hard and half were too easy - what do I say? I would like the ability to give a thumbs down to a specific exercise, basically saying dump that but keep everything else.

Over all, this is the best PS2 purchase I've made in a long time.

5-0 out of 5 stars Varied exercises - with some sloppy programming
This is a useful and fun way to exercise, but it does have some problems (asking you to use equipment you don't own, bad load times). I use it three times a week and would buy it again.

Pros:
- Measures your flexibility, upper body strength, lower body strength, core strength, and aerobic capacity to match the workout level to your body.
- You can adjust the workout level for each category (flexibility, upper body strength, lower body strength, etc)
- You see exercises being done so it helps with your form
- Tutorials on each move
- The workout has breaks, but they aren't too long or too short, usually.
- You open up new areas and music by sticking to the exercise program.
- Exercises chosen based on what equipment you have (step, dumbells, ball, or heart monitor)
- There's a Yoga section for Yoga fun. It gives you about 15 minutes of Yoga at a time.
- It has numerous meal plans based on how many calories you want to eat a day.
- The variety of exercises is good, but not great.
- Most of the exercises will work for woman and men, even though they are geared toward woman

Cons:
- The music is boring, and I doubt you will recognize any of it.
- Sometimes she has you use a piece of equipment she knows you don't own! Example, she tells me to use a ball of free weights to exercise my biceps, even though I don't own a ball and she knows it!
- The load times are disgustingly bad. If it changes songs during an exercise, then the game will come to a stop for several seconds. Then the woman will do one rep at an incredible speed you can't reproduce, then she will slow down to the regular speed.
- The exercises are clearly geared toward women. She sometimes has me do bicep curls without weights for about a minute. I would get more exercise drinking a pint of beer. I'm not even sure many women would get anything out of this exercise.
- Some of the stuff the woman says doesn't make sense. Example, "Get in your body." I wonder where she thought I was.
- Sometimes there isn't enough variety to the exercise. It seems like she only has two or three exercises for each muscle group at a given intensity level. If you don't progress to the next level, you will see that exercise again. And again. And again. Realistically, you can expect to see some of the same exercises in every workout for at least a month.

5-0 out of 5 stars ...One order of crow, please...
I first saw this "game" in the console section of a store around the time I began considering that I needed to work out more. At the time, I actually laughed at it. I just couldn't believe that something like exercising to a game console was going to be any better than a video: What a waste of technology. I mean, exercise routines are all the same, right? Dull. Boring. Repetitive. Gimmicky. Painful in all the wrong ways. So, this had to be the same, right? What was this thing going to do that I couldn't get anywhere else?-besides a pixilated workout character who may not be all she's cracked up to be?

Well, after spending about another week passing up the usual exercise tapes and swallowing my pride to purchase this, I have had my question answered; and have been eating my words daily for the past two weeks.

Y!F is really almost addictive: The level of personalization and interaction in the game is really great for someone who is tired of being spoken at by a pre-recorded person on video. The workouts are very fun (and pretty painful, if you're not used to doing them--but in a good way!) and versatile. The extras (earning new music and backdrops; using extra equipment; meal plans; personal fitness tracking; fitness goal setting/customization; scheduling; etc.) really help you to get along to whatever fitness goals you may have, as well. Most of the exercises are easily adjusted for higher or lower impact depending on our ability...and of course, if you already do great on floor exercises, try it with the equipment and increase the difficulty and exercise time. You simply can't loose.

Maya, the personal trainer character is also very encouraging yet down to earth, which is great for someone like me, who usually equates exercise with annoying bouncy, bubbly video queens in pink spandex and legwarmers yelling at me to "Feel the BURN! Woooot!". In comparison to those types, Maya is much more realistic. The animation for her is pretty good during the workout sessions. If you pause, she will stretch, and walk around while waiting- she is never really still. Nor robotic, just like an actual person.

I like the fact that every day I log in to work out, I'm greeted and acknowledged. (and when I skip days that I've scheduled, that I'm acknowledged in having done that, too: commitment is good.) I have the option of choosing what kind of workout I would like to do, and then have the workout adjusted for me depending on my mood (which can be all over the place, and effecting most of what I do, especially things like working out) and how easy/difficult the workouts actually are once we get started. You can also adjust the time that you spend working out, which is good for those days when you don't have but 15 minutes, or when you think you could go for 1 hour or more.

Personally, my favorite part of this 'game' is the Meditation Garden. In this feature, you get about 15-20 minutes or so of yoga, also dynamically performed, like the rest of the workouts. The yoga is very useful for muscle aches from the regular workouts, and helps me to ease my pre-existing body pain. I would suggest that if you get this product, to use this feature at least once every other day. It's very enjoyable all on it own.

--and after two weeks of faithful application, I have been noticing marked improvements. I'm glad I got this instead of opting for another bland workout tape, or simply walking in the park once a week. It wouldn't have worked out for me at all. I've been down that road and back, many times in the past.

Y!F Has really helped me to enjoy exercising. I'm not perfect about it, but at least I feel like it's something I can do and enjoy for the challenge; and not something I'm doing in order to torture myself for the eventual, far off benefits. There are benefits, now, even this short into my long term goal of loosing weight.

I highly suggest this to folks who need to get out and move more, and/or to folks who are tired of the same old boring notion of exercise tapes. If you haven't seen the light, yet, you probably will begin to after giving this a try. Don't knock it till you've tried it.

5 stars, hands down.

4-0 out of 5 stars Totally worth your time & money.
Okay, so I'm a bachelor with no kids who could stand to be in better shape, so I figure what the hell, let's try this thing out.Quite honestly, this is one of the best things I've bought in a long time, and for about $35, it's a really good deal.

In about two weeks, I've noticed some big improvements.I look better, I feel better, and I have more energy than I've had in a long time. What's really cool is the fact that I actually look forward to exercising with Maya.

The creators took great care to make Maya fun & accessible to as many people as possible, and I think they did a good job. She's pretty without looking too perfect, she's intelligent without sounding like a know it all, and she even has a bit of a sense of humor. The writers and voice-actress did a very good job of giving her personality.I find myself awaiting to tell her how I'm feeling, or what I want to work on for the day, and when she tells me how good I'm doing, I actually feel pretty proud of myself.Yes, I know it's just the computer program crunching the data I'm feeding into it, that she's not "real", but the illusion of working out with someone who is a pleasant trainer is really effective. It's basically gotten to the point to where I say I'm going to work out with Maya, instead of saying I'm going to put in the Yourself Fitness game.

All in all, I really needed something like this to help me out.I wasn't really disciplined enough to workout consistently by myself, nor did I know all the styles and methods to use to workout all the various muscles in my body properly.I really feel like I'm finally becoming the physically fit man I've always wanted to be, and for only about thirty bucks!I'm happy I bought this.

5-0 out of 5 stars Yourself Fitness is a fantastic program for health!
From the minute I met Maya, my new personal trainer I was hooked. Maya is a virtual fitness "person" who will help you meet your fitness goals.

The program begins with Maya greeting you and giving you a fitness assessment. Here you will input your height, weight and activity level and you will do a series of exercises; crunches, sit-ups, push-ups, and jumping jacks. Then you check your heart rate and input the information. Based on your level of fitness Maya will recommend an exercise program for you. She will tell you what you need to do and how many days a week you need to do it, to help you achieve your goals.

Maya will give you a selection of spaces to exercise in and ask what equipment you have. If you own a stepper, stability ball, weights and heart rate monitor, she will incorporate these into the workout. I would highly recommend adding all the equipment - especially the weights and heart rate monitor as these can really help you achieve your fitness goals.

After selecting your space (different virtual rooms with a different feel to each one) Maya begins your personalized program. During the workout she will ask you how you are feeling or you can at any time increase or decrease the intensity of the workout. At the bottom of the screen a scroll tells you what is coming up next in the workout ie squats, sidesteps, a stepper etc. You can also change the music selection - over 70 songs are available including hip hop, latin and 80's. The bottom also counts down the time of your workout - a fabulous feature.

Over time as you exercise, you will "unlock" treats from Maya like new workout spaces. Because she has so many "moves" your execise time with Maya will vary from one day to the next and keep your interest.

Maya also will hold you accountable. If you miss a day she will ask (nicely) where you were. As you exercise she will encourage you. Maya's voice is a beautiful, easy to listen to voice and you can lower or raise the volume of her voice and/or the music.
Maya herself is a buff looking brunette, it would have been nice if one could personalize their trainer's looks, and I will bet that's not to far down the road!

Maya also has a peaceful room where she will lead you in a nice yoga interlude. As you progress through the program Maya will help you adjust your goals and set new ones.

She will also set meal plans for you if desired.

I have to admit Maya has amazed me, besides kicking my booty in our exercise sessions. And the price point of $35 is so reasonable. Others love it too and there is an online community at www.yourselffitness.com devoted to discussions on this program.

Highly recommended!

UPDATE: I had a question about the program and was very pleased with the Yourself!Fitness representative Caroline's fast response and helpfulness. Double delight - a great program with super customer service!

4-0 out of 5 stars Good fun strategy action, just too demanding.....
Disgaea is a good strategy game. The graphics are outdated, but they are still very decent. The soundtrack is good, and the gameplay is fun. The best things about the game are the voice acting and storyline which are both excellent, and the game takes pride in poking fun at the traditional genre with its own twist of humor. The only problem with the game is the immense amount of commitment required. This isn't the kind of game you can beat quickly. It requires massive amounts of leveling up which equals hours upon hours upon hours. To add to the misery, the level up system is designed so that only the character who strikes the finishing blow recieves the exp., while everyone else who helped is left out. It all equals massive frusturation. If you have no problem spending alot of time leveling up then go ahead and play this. But if you are like me, and aren't too keen upon it, just skip over disgaea and try something easier like final fantasy tactics advance or fire emblem.

4-0 out of 5 stars disgaea: hour of darkness
The first thing I'd like to say is that Disgaea: Hour of Darkness for the Playstation 2 is not for everyone. It's a single player strategy role-playing game (SRPG), a genre that many people find boring. The gameplay in Disgaea focuses on turn-based tactical decision making, and for this reason, the game can be slow-paced, difficult, and time consuming.I, myself, regretted purchasing the game at first, but after a couple of hours, the game grew on me and I learned to love it.

When I bought this game and started playing, the most apparent feature I noticed was its style.Disgaea, unlike many new games out now, uses bitmaps instead of 3D character models, which gives it the appearance of being graphically outdated. This, however, is not a bad thing.Although the graphics of the game are not technically superior, Disgaea is still beautiful. The characters and artwork are top quality, the colors are vibrant, and the use of bitmaps complements the Anime style of the game. Also, Disgaea is separated into chapters or "episodes" much like an Anime series; at the end of each chapter, there is preview for the next episode.Because of its similarities in artwork and structure with Anime, avid Anime fans will love this game.

Additionally, the Anime theme permeates into the story.Disgaea puts you in the shoes of a demon prince Laharl who is on a quest to conquer the Netherworld. With a girl demon who has on occasion tried to murder him, and a naïve angel dubbed "love freak" by his side, the story can be humorous and quirky.Parodies of the Power Rangers make their appearance in this game and perhaps one of the funniest scenes I can recall involves a "horse wiener." Since there is rarely a moment of boredom, Disgaea is a game that is equally enjoyable to watch or play.

In addition to being very stylish, Disgaea is fun to play. The gameplay involves controlling a bunch of units on a map, moving them onto squares, and taking turns attacking the enemy. This may sound boring and it sometimes is; however, the meat of the game is not in the actual combat, but is in the customizability of the characters and equipment.Disgaea gives you the ability to create characters from what seems to be an endless list of possibilities such as a ninja, a samurai, an archer, and a thief. You give them names, monitor their growth, and develop them into sword or staff or gun users. It's up to YOU.New classes of characters are unlocked as you progress through the game, and naturally, to get the better classes, you need to play a lot. This makes the game addictively time-consuming, but fun at the same time. With the maximum level for each character set at 9999, Disgaea offers a lot of replay value, and you never feel like you're finished.Even after beating the game, the "new game +" option allows you to restartwith all your equipment and levels, so you can replay Disgaea in hopes of unlocking the secret map containing the level 4000 boss.Furthermore, unlike many games where items are static and fixed, every item in Disgaea is customizable.Items have "residents" living in them that give the items certain attributes. These residents in the items can be captured and transferred to another item making it stronger. There is game feature called "Item World" where you actually go inside an item. All items are composed of floors, each floor leading to the next with enemies inhabiting them.As you go deeper into the item, conquering more floors and enemies, your item gets stronger as well.

In the end, Disgaea: Hour of Darkness is a very fun game that is unique in its style and customizability. It is definitely a hidden gem only overlooked because of its rough appearance.I think that Anime and RPG fans will definitely love this game. For the other people who are new to SRPGs but who are interested in the genre, I think that this is a good game to start with.

4-0 out of 5 stars What a cool strategy RPG, dood!
Disgaea is one of the PS2's leading cult hits for a good reason: It has some of the most impressive strategy RPG gameplay I've seen on the console. It's not quite as good as Final Fantasy: Tactics, but it definitely comes close.

The game definitely deserves props for it's originality: Especially the lack of RPG cliches in it. There's almost no hint of FF-inspiration anywhere. The characters aren't some save the world quest, they're on a take over the world quest. There's no "universal conclusion" to the story, there are 8 different ones. Playing dirty, stealing, bribing, etc. is encouraged, and there is TON o
