4-0 out of 5 stars ARCADE Edition
This game is all about fun. It takes you back to the good times you used to have at the arcade. Everything about this game screams ARCADE. The sense of speed is the best I've ever seen. The graphics and sound can't touch those of NFS Underground 2. But you'll being having too much fun to care. I fell in love with the graphics and sound of NFSU 2, but the overall gameplay was lacking a lot. The gameplay of this game is way better and way more fun. The amount of cars/bikes/trucks to choose from is insane. This is a long game so you might want to buy it. I rented it but I couldn't finish. This is a MUST-PLAY for racing game fans.

5-0 out of 5 stars Best racing game of all time
This game is, as my title reads, the best racing game of all time. The GT series, NFS series, and all other games cannot equal the fun, excitement, and speed of MC3. As the other reviewers have put, the first two were a flawed a little. Rockstar, however, made a huge improvement with the third installement of Midnight Club. I just have one negative issue with it: there's no drag races. Can't have a street racing game with out a few drag races. But, don't let this turn you away from the game. It's still the best racing game out there. Nothing adds up to the power and speed of MC3. It's worth its $50. I haven't been able to put the controller for the past few days. My g/f hates video games, but, when she played this game, she absolutely loved it. Now that really says something for this game. Overall, it's a must have for all of you racing fans out there.

4-0 out of 5 stars Good, but too easy
It's a great game and has many improvements over MCII, but some of these improvements made the game way too easy. Sure, II had its flaws, but it was able to make every race hard enough that you had to memorize the course and make no mistakes to win. I got through San Diego without getting a new car, or making any upgrades to my car, and winning the majority of the races without restarting. In II, it would sometimes take hours to beat many of the races, and hardly any races could be won on the first try. Most collisions aren't as damaging as before, or at any rate, they're much easier to avoid. That said, it still is an incredibly fun game and definetly worth buying. ... Read more

3-0 out of 5 stars BIGGEST FINAL FANTASY FAN
Let me start by saying that I'm a big, big, big Final Fantasy fan. I have played and beaten every single Final Fantasy game ever made. I say this because my review of this game is not great.

The Good:
The graphics: are great which is nothing out of this world for any final fantasy game since this series probably has the best graphics of any other.
Online: You get to interact with players form all over the world, which is a good change since you are playing with real people for a change.
Music: Also not strange that this is one of the better parts of the game.

The Bad:
Everything else.
The whole game is about leveling your character. And this takes so, so, so long its ridiculous.
The world is so big that getting form one place to another takes forever specially when you are in the beggining of the game. ITS HUGE.
There is almos no story line here so you will probably spend 100 hours doing basically the same thing which is LEVELING.
Once you manage to get to a decent level (45 and up) the game gets just a little intresting.
You also spend such a long, long time getting the hang of skills such as fishing, or gardening or woodworking or things like this to get other things that you then have to sell at the auction house and wait more to get money to spend on better tools such as fishing rods and then spend a lot more time doing the skill.
The most looked for character in the game in party play is a white mage but for this character, to get to a high enough level to start fighting in a party takes longer since they are not very powerful and they die easier because they don't have a lot of HP

Anyway, I could go on and on and on and on about the bad things about the game. I guess there are certain people who have the time to play this game A LOT and like the online thing. For me it just didn't do it and I would sadly have to say that this is the worst game in the series. Which still makes it much better than most other games. You have to hold it to a higher standard since it is a Final Fantasy game.

RECOMENDATION: If you are not used to online games, at this cost I recomend you find out what the game actually is by reading, asking friends or if you can by actually playing it. If you know how an online game is played such as everquest and you like it then this is a great game for you. If you like more of a story driven RPG like myself then don't for any possible reason buy this game, even if money is not an issue its just a waste of time.

I HAVE TO SAY THAT I DON'T HAVE A CLUE AS TO HOW YOU COULD POSSIBLY EVER FINISH THIS GAME. IN FACT I DON'T KNOW WHAT FINISHING THE GAME FOR THIS GAME IN PARTICULAR MEANS.

3-0 out of 5 stars *Getting Started
Well I am currently new at the online gaming deal & trying to get set up with this Final Fantasy X1.I have the Playstaion2 thick version & finding out that you need one accessory after another just to start. I had to buy the new Hardrive& Fantasy Game version than the Network Adapter & than found out in order to keep from rebooting you will also need a router which i went with a Linksky's but still waiting to get it to hook up.I give the game 5 stars cause I know the game will be worth it,but i give overall three stars due to the complexity of just getting started....

I called playstaion2 & they walked me through setting up the network adapter/Harddrive than got to the on screen keyboard & found out now i need to attach my computer keyboard to the USB port on the front of playstaion2. To my-luck my keyboard has a 6-pin din hook up and now it wont connect to the USb port, so now i am deciding between the keyboard adapters or just plain buying a USB keyboard cause the Adapters are as much as a keyboard.

Now i find it very frustrating to have to buy all this additional accessories & feel that Sony could of made this a little easier to get started but if you want to play, you have to pay and they know this....My only fear is that once i get my router I know i will be in for more problems getting it set up and working with my DSL/playstaion2 but I only hope I dont have to buy anymore accessories.....it would of been cheaper just to buy the new playstaion2 version & then the Final FantsyX1 PCversion which is what i should of done to begin with.To avoid all this non-sense..

All in all though I am looking forward to eventually getting started cause I am a "Final Fantasy" FAN & know it will be all worth it in the end....c-ya online soon

5-0 out of 5 stars Humanity is so dumb sometimes
1. this game is fantastic (this comes from an avid player of all FF games and video games in general). This mmoRPG is more of an RPG than any other game in the FF series. You play the ROLE of a character and have complete freedom.

2. If you didn't know there was a monthly fee, you need to READ boxes and research items beore you buy them.

3. If 13 dollars a month is too much for you get a job...Seriously people.Even with minimum wage in this country you can make 5 dollars an hour. That's 3 hours a month and this game is payed for.You people are DISGUSTINGLY lazy!!!I don't care how old you are (I started working when i was 14).This is NOTHING in comparison to the bills you people are going to have to pay when you a. start driving b. have to pay off a mortgage or even c. pay off student loans.

4. don't complain if you haven't played the game for more than 1 month.

5. I work full-time and play in a band and i STILL have time to level my character and enjoy the game thoroughly.I have a LVL 42 PLD and a LVL 38 WHM (although i only play the PLD now and am considering deleting the WHM).

Anyways...yeah this game is incredible.I suggest it to anyone who has a sense of responsibilty and who would like to delve into the world of online gaming.

5-0 out of 5 stars Good, but be warned.
Final Fantasy XI for PS2 is great, especially if you don't have a powerful enough computer to run Final Fantasy XI for Windows. However just a fair warning, and this isn't really stated clearly enough: YOU CANNOT USE THIS PRODUCT WITH THE NEW SLIM PS2!! Just in case you dont know or were wondering. It is not possible to hook up the HDD to the new PS2. So if you are interested in this game, it is well worth the money, but only get it if you have an older PS2 (SCPH-500XX or SCPH-390XX).

3-0 out of 5 stars Fun, but...expensive.
This game is very fun.You can play with other people from Japan, U.S., Mexico, China, and more places in the world. If you don't want to see people from other countries, than you can just change your options.
There are four countries. They are the republic of Bastok, the kingdom of San'doria, the federation of Windurst, and the grand duchy of Jeuno.
There is racism also. The races are humes, elvaans, tarutaru, mithra, and galkas. In some of the races, you can choose to be either male or female.
There are a ton of jobs. They are warrior, monk, white mage, black mage, red mage, thief, paladin, black knight, beastmaster, ranger, bard, summoner, samurai, ninja, and dragoon. When you first start the game, you can only choose the fist six jobs. The other jobs, you must earn by doing quests.
There are some people that need help in Vana'diel.(Oh, and Vana'diel is the name of the world in which FFXI takes place at.)The people will tell you what to do.If you complete it, you will be rewarded of given nothing at all.(Don't worry! Most quests will give rewards.I only know one that does not.)The more quests you do, the more famous you become in the country and Van'diel. You're mog will even be happy.
A mog is your so-called servant at your mog hour house.Your mog house is where you live in Vana'diel. To go to your mog house, all you do is step one foot into the residential area of a country. All countries in Vana'diel have residential areas.
In FFXI, you can choose the country you want to serve as only at the beginning of the game. You choose any country you want to live at except for Jeuno. If you are not satisfied with your country, than you can apply for citizenship for a different country. You don't have to start the game all over again. For example, let's say you choose to be a mithra from Windurst. You want be a citizen of Bastok. All you do is go to Bastok, look for the federal area, and ask a lady for a citizenship application. It is not as hard as it sounds.
You need money to survive in Vana'diel. The currency there is called gil.Gil can be obtained by completing quests, selling items, or defeating specific monsters. If some players are generous, they will give you gil. That is very rare, though.
I could go on and on explaining but, there is no reason to.After a week or two, you will get the hang of it.You probably will also start making friends but, remember some stuff.
1.Don't give away personal information such as your age, sex, address, phone number, or anything like that.
2.Watch what you say!The Fianl Fantasy XIgame board people have some people playing the game looking for any mischief. This means that some players are actually supervisors. It is okay to use mild profanity but, don't use stong profanity. If you say something unfriendly to a person and they don't show up anymore, your game might be canceled. All I am telling you is watch what you say.
3.Remember the warning "Game experience may change during online. You can't control other people. The game is rated "T" for animated blood, and violence. Some people might sing a song with bad words in it.
The fees are high for this game. You buy what are calle "content ids."Content ids are what you use to make a character. You must pay for it.It cost 12.95 a month for FFXI and 1.00 a month for each one after the first one you purchased. You can purchase up to 16 content ids for FFXI.
Not that many people talk about Tetra Master.Tetra Master is a card game that comes with FFXI.It is not that much fun.It is a magical weird way of "Yu-Gi-Oh!."You play with other players.
I don't know which FFXI pack you should buy.The pc or PS2.The PS2 one is 99.88.The pc one is more than two-thirds cheaper. The problems here is memory and money. The PS2 version is more expensive than the pc version but, there is so much more memory available in the HDD.The pc version is cheaper but, memory here is the problem.FFXI takes up over 8,000 megabytes. That could cause a problem when it comes to installing new files. In any way or so, I suggest the PS2 version.
I hope you make up your decision. The game is very fun.My character is a hume named Deene who's nationality is Bastokan.I hope to meet you in the game! ... Read more

4-0 out of 5 stars Napoleon: Total War
First the bad news: I too had problems at the beginning - slow loading times, buggy interface, curious animation, bad scrolling, freezes, crashes, etc.The very good news: I lowered the option settings, and particularly, changed the Animation Interpolation. I also updated my NVIDIA drivers, and as a result, it is as if I have a brand new game! The difference is phenomenal - the scrolling is better and easier, the animations are alive, the loading times are practically diminished. Both the campaign game and the battle modes are fun and engaging. The troops now move normally and fluidly, instead of 'gliding' strangely across the terrain. I can play this game for hours now. Those of you who bought this game and had problems, please give it another try, it is a very nice game, although not as perfect as Rome:Total War, it is a similar experience, and an enjoyable one. I am glad I was stubborn and patient with this, considering Cossacks II was a great dissapointment for me. For Napoleonic, this game is much better.Change the 'Interpolation', and try changing the settings (it won't affect the great look of the game), and upgrade any cards and drivers you have to - it is worth it. Vive l'empereur!

3-0 out of 5 stars Decent game, some faults.
As most of the reviewers here I immediately made comparisons to Rome: Total War which is an all-time favorite of mine that I still play.

Land Battles:
Beautiful graphics, simple controls and formations. All the areas you fight in are very well done. The terrain is interactive as well, where you can take units and place them in buildings, blockades, etc.. for increased defense and observation. There are basically three different types of units which fits well in the time period...Infantry, Calvary and Artillery. The major complaint I have with the Land Battles is the units need to be patched...badly. Very rarely have I had enemies rout or retreat.

A few things that need to happen to greatly improve Land Battles would be to increase the range of artillery dramatically to become an effective unit on the battlefield (as they historically were). Militia units need to be treated as militia units, one or two salvos from a Line Infantry unit should rout them..period. As it stand now militia units are more like very inexpensive and cheap fanatical infantry. That's one hell of a militia unit to be able to run across the map into a bunch of muskeeteers, see half your buddies die then take yer tree branch and face off against a professional soldier with a fixed bayonet. Militia will charge Artillery blasting the heck out of them, run right into a calvary charge and brave point blank musket fire. The best fights i've had, have been between armies of non-militia units where you really get a taste of Napoleanic warfare displayed on your screen. Bottomline here is the land battles would be dramatically improved if one musket salvo would rout a militia unit so the only way a bunch of club weilding peasants could defeat a professional army unit would be overwhelming numbers. As it is now, why did man invent the rifle in the first place, if they are just expensive useless toys. Just go down to your local pub and round up a bunch of drunk farmers and give them their +5 Clubs of Heroism.

Once a unit engages in melee combat there is no way to disengage them until they are done. I suppose there is some realism to this where you can't really shout orders to an entire unit when they are in hand-to-hand combat. This takes some tactics especially when fighting against militia as frenquently when they would charge into my Line Infantry i had to quickly order the rest of my units to stop firing on the militia because i'd hit my own men as well.

Calvary is a very powerful force. These are useful to crush militia and of course, the calvary will charge right towards them and the ubermensch superhuman peasants will fight to the last man against a thundering charge of trained professional Hussars (Can you tell i hate militia yet?).

Artillery as I mentioned above needs to be fixed. It's basically useless right now unless you want to shoot up a house to get Infantry out of, but as you approach any building they tend to come out on their own anyway. I still create them in my armies because....well, just because I like having armies with cannons *shrug*.

Navy Battles:
Personally I enjoyed these. The battles are simple, but I imagine things could get very complicated if battles consisted of like...5 ships fighting 5 ships. This will pretty much never happen tho as each country minus Britain seems to be complacent with having one ship to count for their Navy *yawn*.

Strategic Map:
This is where you conduct all your research, diplomacy, troop movements etc. No real big complaints here. Different countries will have different challenges. As mentioned by another reviewer England will rarely see Land Battles unless they choose to, so if you don't want to go to war that much and diplomat most of the game then England is a good choice. Playing a power like Prussia however is pretty difficult as they are going to be at war pretty much from the beginning and fighting..a LOT.

As mentioned by other reviewers here it is very time consuming and requires a lot of your country's resources to build advanced infrastructure and trade routes. Building Armies is NOT fast at all, takes a lot of time and a lot of resources especially since you are also using those resources tobuild your trade and advanced infrastructure. It can take at least 2-3 years to field a viable invasion force especially since you can only build Land units in capitols. There are pros and cons to this, but the endstate is you are much more careful on where, when and with who you fight. The annihilation of a big army can set you back and squash your military ambitions.

Peaceful Annexation in it's current state is pretty much FUBAR. The computer is much more apt to peacefully annex another country and I seriously have no idea how they do this so quickly. For example, I eventually peacefully annexed Portugal playing as England but in order to do this it took a ton of resources building consulates, newspaper offices, etc. I even tried Improved Relations Diplomacy option and threw 5,000 gold at them, they rejected it and my relations with them went down! This part of the game needs to be patched to decrease the ease of which the computer can peacefully annex another country and alter the bonuses and penalties of dealing with other countries.

What also needs to be fixed is the zerg of other powers offering you their surplus of government cheese for gold AND when you reject them your relations decrease. So if you are working on peacefully annexing a country you basically HAVE to take whatever they are offering unless you want to lose relation points. Of course, there is a way around this and that's to say screw diplomacy and just build your infrastructure and trade enough to build some armies and start to conquest.

If a patch is released that fixes range on Artillery, nerfs Militia and the Relations to other countries this game will be a 4-5 star game imo. As it stands now, it's a decent game to pick up if you like the Turn-Based Strategy Game with a RTS spin on it (Like Total War). On the Campaign game it takes awhile for the game to get going, but once you do it's fairly enjoyable. I'm still playing it as i love this type of gaming genre despite it's faults. Hoping for a patch soon.

1-0 out of 5 stars Big disappointment!
This could have been such a beautiful game but for some reason the developers decided to hamper it to the point of being nothing more than an exercise in frustration. The battles are really fun, and the graphics are great, but you must play for three hours of "next turn" just to build up enough resources to have a minor skirmish which lasts 5 minutes and then... you start all over again! Also, for some reason which totally escapes me, they decided to place certain restrictions on each empire.I started out as England but never had enough population to build armies. Then, I tried Russia - plenty of people but never enough food. The games kept disbanding my armies due to the "severe food shortage".The number of troops in a unit is arbitrarily set to 60 max - the number of units in a command by a captain or general is arbitrarily set to a small number - the number of armies you can have in a province is arbitrarily set to 3 max.Everywhere you look in this game you find restrictions which rob it of its potential for greatness and of your chance to have some fun - isn't having fun what these games are for?

I will never understand why the developers took such a beautiful gaming engine and decided to force the game's progress to such a snail's pace. You spend most of your time clicking through the months (one month is a turn) desparately trying to build armies to have a little fun - but it never comes!

This game could have been great, but some ridiculous decisions at project management level have killed it.They should have pre-released it to a bunch of 14 year old gamers and LISTENED to their advice. Then we might have had something approaching a fun experience. As it is, you have nothing but frustration and limitation everywhere you turn with Imperial Glory.

4-0 out of 5 stars Very attractive - but not without flaws
I had tracked this game for a very long time, basically since it was first announced and I was pleasantly surprised to find it in my local gaming store. I immediately handed over the $40 hoping it was worth that amount. After about a week of gaming I can safely review this after playing all the aspects.

Imperial Glory is really made up of three parts, which are each extensively covered in helpful tutorials. A lot of games seem to lack a helpful tutorial but luckily the designers for Imperial Glory were kind enough to add in THREE tutorials to help get you started.

--- The first part of the game is the land battle maps. The 3-D graphics are simply superb and the troops are very attractive as they march, charge and especially when firing volleys. The land battle controls are easy to use and quite simple. The interface makes sense and there is little to no clutter. My favorite part of the game is where you can actually create your own battles between any of the five playable empires (France, Russia, Austria, Prussia and Great Britain) in any of the provinces and you just duke it out with whomever your opponent is until you win. These are mainly fun but I have a few problems with the land battle aspect of them game.

- The "total victory" option means your enemy always fights to the death. That may be "glorious" in a sense, but it's pretty unrealistic and causes you many casualties. The enemy never seems to retreat and will always fight to the last man.

- The artillery range is pretty ridiculous. There is hardly a point to having artillery because the range is so small. You seem to be less than three hundred yards away when your cannons and howitzers finally come into range and the enemy always targets those expensive weapons first. The high ground for the artillery is hardly an issue because despite whatever altitude you're at, the range is still pitifully small.

- The maps are always the same in the provinces. And I mean always. It is always winter in some places, always summer in others. I personally don't have a big problem with this, but some may be peeved when they fight in July in Poland and see snow.

Despite these setbacks, the land battles are by far the most fun and attractive part of Imperial Glory.

--- The second aspect of Imperial Glory are the naval battles. They are pretty slow moving and dull in my opinion. Unlike the land battles where the map was different for all provinces, the sea battles - like in real life - look exactly the same. The naval battles are fun due to the amount of firepower you have and the potential amount of damage you can deliver. Once again, the controls are VERY easy to use and VERY understandable. You fire port or starboard broadsides and between which broadside, there is an appropriate time to reload. You can even board the enemy ship and capture it! If you are a fan of naval warfare of the Napoleonic era, you will not be dissapointed in the gameplay here.

There is one thing that gives me a hard time in the naval section. There is a certain area in which you are allowed to fight. If you leave the area then you lose the battle. The concept is crazy...imagine if it was like that at Trafalgar: if you leave this red box, then your ship is sunk and loses the battle! Sometimes it is hard to turn the ship so you sail right out of the boundaries and automatically lose.

--- And finally the third aspect of the game: the campaign map. This is the part easily compared to Rome: Total War, the part that has caused me the most stress, anger and joy in my experience with this game. The layout is much the same as Rome: Total War although besides that the two games have nothing in common. I dislike the comments that compared a Napoleonic game to a game on Ancient Rome, two very different time periods that deserve two different layouts.

In the campaign map, you must concentrate on your resources - Gold, Raw Materials, Population and Food. These are what create your buildings and units and without them, you lose.

Each resource can be gathered in different ways and I was thanful to find that there is no micromanaging resources, like in RTS-style games. Each province has a set amount of resources that it gives your 'national treasury' but that is barely enough. You need to build buildings and forge trade routes in order to increase your raw materials/food and gold respectively. Buildings and units are very costly and by losing a battle, your economy can be severely hurt due to the amount of money and resources it takes to create these armies.

Diplomacy has a number of options that range from declaring war to offering marriage. One option is the peaceful annexation and the enemy seems to take full advantage of that. In one game, Austria had peacefully annexed the Ottomans while Britain managed to annex all of the Iberian peninsula. Each country has a number of "sympathy points" which range from 0 (when you are at war) to 100 (and only then can you peacefully annex them).

Armies are created from barracks and all armies out of their barracks intake food. It is key to have enough food to feed your armies. Each army is commanded by either a Captain, Colonel, General or Marshal and can move one province at a turn. There are hardly enough men in an army to be considered real - a maximum of 60 per infantry unit and 36 per cavalry means a maximum of maybe 300 men per army. Quite a contrast compared to the half million involved in the Battle of Leipzig!

A series of complicated building rules and research punctuate the campaign map games. Each turn is one month and the game ranges from 1789-1830, which gives you plenty of turns. Each unit, building and research take turns to complete which provides for a slow pace. Indeed, I found myself watching the TV between turns due to the slowness of the changing of the turns, but your computers may be a little more updated than my four year old Pentium 4.

The campaign map may be the least user-friendly area of the game, but it could hardly be called confusing at all. The left-click/drag way to move armies easily puzzled me at first. However it only gets easier as you get on.

In conclusion, Imperial Glory is a very fun game despite some flaws it has. I am impatient and I find the long load times to be a pain in the ass (when loading a saved game it took near 4 minutes) but the wait is really worth it when you see the game. Worth $40? Nah, but most games aren't worth their opening prices. Imperial Glory is fun, pretty and addictive and I suggest it to all people who are interested in the Napoleonic era.

Pros:
-Beautiful graphics: the troops, ships, and landscapes blew me away
-Easy to use interface provides an understandable gaming experience
-Friendly tutorials help introduce the game to you easily
-In depth research, building and diplomatic systems

Cons:
-Land battles have some fishy stuff going on (i.e. artillery range is too short)
-Ridiculously slow loading times
-Naval battles have a boundary
-AI seems to be able to peacefully annex much better than the human player

5-0 out of 5 stars Wonderful Tactical Strategy.
Move over Rome Total War!Imperial Glory is a very good title. It really shines during the turn-based strategy game mode with a GORGEOUS map to play on, animated pieces, and deep strategy. It even has economic and diplomatic models that are very lifelike.

The tactical side of the game is good but flawed somewhat.Even so, I found it MUCH more enjoyable than Rome Total War.The battles are fast moving, exciting, and a real treat to watch.

The graphics and sound are superb. ... Read more

4-0 out of 5 stars Good, but VERY short
The play control is great and the story line is pretty good, but it's just WAY too short!I remember the days of the Zelda for SNES where you played all the way through the game, 8 dungeons and the final battle, only to find out there are 8 more dungeons and an entirely new world to explore! Here we have 5 dungeons and an extremely small world to explore.Sure, there are a bunch of kinstones to swap, but that's only so entertaining.Overall, I liked the game, just wanted it to go on for another 5 dungeons!

4-0 out of 5 stars Tons of Fun
I've been a nearly lifelong Zelda fan, so, although I don't buy a lot of GBA games, I bought this one the week it was released. I've played it through twice now, and enjoyed it both times. Here are a few points I consider while playing:
Point one: Graphics- While I didn't aprove of the switch to cell-shaded graphics (I find it irritatingly cartoony for a title which was previously somewhat more serious), it fit the tone and was well done.
Point two: storyline/ length- good, basic storyline- rescue the princess and save Hyrule- which fits well with the game's history. I would have liked a few more dungeons, but the sidequests somewhat made up for that.
Three: sidequests/ extras- Quite good, especially as they haven't been strong in the previous games. Kinstones and Figurines add more dimension to an otherwise (pleasantly) simple game.
Overall: Great game, can't wait for the next one.

4-0 out of 5 stars Beautiful! Miyamoto brings back more fun!
Okay, hour 1 of minish cap: It's 6:00pm and I'm still stuck on this one puzzle, the size of a piece of dust and Ezlo isn't helping me... success! I found the Jar of Gusts! I suck the spiderwebs off (You're sick if you're thinking what I think you're thinking I'm thinking you're thinking.) with the jar and get out of the extra entrances, quite frankly I'm entertained.

Drowning in puddles... teardrops and getting jumped by pieces of pollen... what's not to want or need?! Mr. Miyamoto did not fail us, the gameplay engine was solid, the graphics, good for a GBA game, sound... wonderful! I swear, playing as a super-chibbi is fun, so if you want an affordable good game... don't buy this game... buy it if you want an awesome affordable game! Go Zelda!!!

5-0 out of 5 stars Cool Game
This is fun, even when you play it again. There is a HUGE amount of kinstone fusions to do, it will take a lot of time to come up with everything. I had to make a separate game where I don't finish the four sword, since i miss a lot of fusions from the town. Also, try making your name dude or cheesy. People start saying really weird stuff.

4-0 out of 5 stars So Much Fun
I had a ball playing this game. It took a while to finish but it was worth it. Going to start all over again. ... Read more

5-0 out of 5 stars Tekken 5
I loved the game it was the best fighting game mony could ever buy if you don't have your lame.

5-0 out of 5 stars The King Of Iron Tournament 5
When Hon-Maru is destroyed, Somebody starts The King Of Iron Tournament 5. We all really like games like Tekken 5, But some play GameCube, XBox... Tekken 5 is the latest game or tournament. The characters in Tekken 5 are Nina, Anna, Baek, Xiayou, King, Marduk, Lee, Julia, Ganryu, Christie, Kzuya, Heihachi, Jin, Devil Jin, Mokujin, Wang, Kuma, Panda, Roger Junior, Bruce, Raven, Feng, Asuka, Paul, Law....

The Story Battle is the most exciting game. It tells why these characters enter the Tournament 5. After you defeat, Jinpachi mishima, Heihachi's father, you unlock one of the character's movie. You also earn Fight Money to Cosdtumize your characters.

The Arcade Battle is where the Ranking Matches and Demotion Riskes occurs. All you need to do is fight, fight.... I already became a Tekken Lord by using Nina Williams. Before you will be a Tekken Lord, you have to be promoted to 9th kyu, 8th kyu, 7th kyu, 6th kyu, 5th kyu, 4th kyu, 3rd kyu, 2nd kyu, 1st kyu, 1st dan, 2nd dan, 3rd dan, 4th dan, 5th dan, Shihan, Expert, Master, Virtuoso, Champion, Legend, Sage, Warlord, Conqueror, Deity and Tekken Lord. Very long right?. By the way, You can make your player name.

The Practice Mode is where you do your moves, I always use Nina. They have 3 choices. Defense Training, Vs. CPU, Freestyle.

The game is so perfect. Please buy it.

4-0 out of 5 stars You should buy
This in every way can be better than the other four. The fighting is better and the character custimazaion is good but not as good as virtua fighter. The characters are all better. There are some strange ones but that dosent matter it's still fun. Also the story is much better. But the boss is extremely diffucult and he is very cheap. But that hust takes a little practise to gt by. Also it adds acade history which fetures the first 3 tekkens. It is a very cool feature. And than Devi wiithin which is sorta like the privious Tekken force modes but it is its own story.

So if you are like me and a huge fan of everything Tekken this will be a great piece to your collection it is worth it.

4-0 out of 5 stars Great..!
HI THIZ GAME IS REALLY ROCKS THERE'S MANY KIND OF FIGHTING MOVES AND STYLE...BUT THIZ GAME IS TOO EASY FOR ME..EXCEPT THE 'DEVIL WITHIN' VERSION..

4-0 out of 5 stars Barnone the BEST FIGHTING GAME!!
First of all, I have to say you cannot compare Tekken 5 to Virtua Fighter evolution, Tekken 5 is far superior! VFE is so boring and easy that it took me only 3 hours to totally beat the game in normal mode. Just 'coz you can't beat the Boss in tekken 5 means you can blast it.
The Boss is tough, perhaps a cheater but that's the point! Finished the game.
Hint: YOU DO NOT HAVE TO BEAT THE DEVIL WITHIN MODE to get DEVIL JIN as a character. Just use jin a lot in medium mode and get his ranking in arcade mode to at least 1st DAN. If you breeze through the stages to get him ranked higher(perfect wins), you'll get him quicker.
Tekken 5 RULES! Virtua Fighter was ok, Dead or alive is even better than virtua fighter evolution. ... Read more

5-0 out of 5 stars one of the better games.
This game is amazingly fun and addicting. I started playing 2 or so years ago, and i'm still playing it. It will only take you a couple of weeks to reach Heavy Mode and maybe a month or 2 before you can beat MaxX UNLIMITED.
To play this game, you step on the arrows on the dance pad corresponding to the arrows scrooling up the screen. Some songs are exceptionally fast (320 BPM: MaxX UNLIMITED), others are really slow (140 BPM: So Deep). The fast ones may seem impossible to read at first, but after some time, it'll be easier to read than a picture book.
Personally, the hard songs are really easy over time. Believe it or not, i have "AAA"ed MAX 300, MaxX UNLIMITED, and The legend of MAX, and im one of the best players in Ohio.
And by the way, if you go to buy the Japanese version of MAX2 or Extreme, have fun with PARANOiA Survivor MAX (Hardest song in DDR history) ;)

4-0 out of 5 stars Much better than seditary gaming!
I love this, I still don't understand how anyone can actually do the advanced levels (seems impossible to me).The thing that I'm not sure about is if it will save info for 2 players?Overall fun and a good workout for body and mind and spirit.

1-0 out of 5 stars "Patrick Swayze Would have been proud of me"
Last Friday, my aunt Chris and uncle Chris (no joking they have the same exact name; on a side note though, for laughs I like to call uncle Chris aunt Chris, lol)came into town to go to some formal dinner of some sorts with Mom and Dad. I was supposed to go to 9 Mile with Lyle and look at guitars with him but Mom and Dad said I had to baby-sit Chris and Chris's 12 year old daughter (my cousin) Trisha.

She was kind of spoiled but that's what happens to most only children. Anywho, she brought over this new virtual reality game for the PS2 called Dance Dance Revolution 2. Whereas the point is to stand on these pads and, you guessed it dance. Lyle ended staying over to keep me company while bratty Trisha played with her High Brow toy. She ended up having two of those virtual reality pads so two people could play. When she offered, Lyle immediately stated, "NO WAY, those are strictly for girls and Asian guys", I quickly followed his lead to save face with him (he was a little irritated that we had to skip guitar browsing, so I didn't want to push it).

Around 10:30 Trisha went to bed so Lyle and I watched Black Dog (a great Patrick Swayze movie, by the way), Lyle went to bed right after the movie ended, but I told him I wanted to stay up a little bit to practice my harmonica. After about 15 minutes when I thought he would be a sleep, I kind of betrayed him and turned on Dance Dance. I played and it grew on me really quick. Before I knew it, I was dancing like my feet were on fire. After about twenty minutes I thought how fun it would be to go head on head with someone else. Since I dared not to wake up Lyle or Trisha, I had an ingenious idea.

What I did was I boxed in the second pad with the couch, loveseat, and chairs, then I tied a bog biscuit to a string and hung it from the light fixture above the pad. Then I woke up Morris (my dog) and did a quick grappling bout with him to riel him up. When I found him ready enough I put him in the furniture enclosure and showed him the dog biscuit. The match was on! We played straight for about a half-hour. I danced like there was no tomorrow while he jumped up and down trying to get the treat that was just inches from his grip. In the end I pretty much annilatted Morris, I think he only beat me like once.

In conclusion, Virtual Reality is finally starting to show some promise. It's been a long road for it. I just hope the world can show the future generations of virtual reality the tolerance and acceptance that Morris, Trisha, and I have.

Now at the Review writing section it asked me 2 questions. The first was "How much fun is this game?".Well thats easy.It is a Tuttleman approved 5 stars of fun.The second question was "How do you rate this game overall?".The problem is that I could never admit to Lyle that I actually liked this crazy contraption.Do you know how many cool points I would lose if Lyle knew I was (for one night only) a solid-gold lord of the dance with feet of fire!?ALL OF THEM.So I'm rating it 1 star over-all, just in case Lyle asks me what I rated it.That way I won't technically be lying to Lyle.Later.

5-0 out of 5 stars DDR Rocks!
This game is fun, addicting, and healthy for you! DDR Max 2 is well worth its price. Although most of the songs in it are not all that common, the music selection is still pretty good and I would recomend this game for any beginners in the world of DDR.

It teaches you the basics and also allows you to choose harder options for those of whom are already hooked to the arcade version.

5-0 out of 5 stars AWESOME

5-0 out of 5 stars Doom 3
This game is one of the best games i have ever played. It has great graphics. Envoirnments. And alot of other great things. i would recommend this game alot. But Not if you are younger than about 12 to 13 years old. This game has very high levels of blood and gore. I am 12 years old and my parents only let me buy it was because i made a big deal with them. In this game you kill zombies monsters. A lot of the monsters are very gruesome. another reason not to let young kids play this is because it is so scary! you will be walking along and a demented zombie with half his head blow off and is on fire will just apear out of no where. what really dissapointed me about this game is that you don't have any duct tape so you have to switch between your flash kight and your gun. and the fact that the levels are so dark. so you can hardly see anything but thats why its so scary. There is also some gore like you will be walking along and there might be a arm leg or pelvis on the ground. but i do have to admit the body parts do look fake. Sortof rubber like something you would get for halloween. But overall this game is very great. And if you are 12 or 13 or older this game is a must have. but if you are not the wait will pay off. GREAT GAME!!!!!!!

5-0 out of 5 stars Simply disturbing...
I'll just keep this short and simple--I've been a Doom fan since the beginning and the old versions were creepy, but as for this version...the title of my review says it all! Make sure you have a loud sound system with surround sound, turn the lights off, and get ready for your hair to stand on end!

Just one final note--many complain about the flashlight, but I think it adds an element of challenge to the game...how fast can you grab your weapon before you get pummeled?!?

4-0 out of 5 stars Wha? What? Was that a woman crying?!?
Single Player*:

Doom 3 is avant garde in the sound and lighting department. The strange sounds you hear bouncing along the piped walls seem to get more frequent the more time you take. You have no idea if they are in the distance, if they are right in front hiding in some unlit place. Hell, you hear them. A rattling corpes falls , dangling from the ceiling, it was this the rattling noise, nothing more, nothing less. Next noise and you might not be so lucky, cause the service lights of the complex just went out. Should you hold your favorite artillery in the dark or hold your flashlight to see your way through? Balance it out, perhaps, switching mindlessly between light source and twitching trigger finger.

This is Doom 3 and it's a perfect upgrade of what I'd expect the Doom 2 classic to be today. The graphics and mood are built with as much realism I've ever seen in a game. Things pop out from dark corners and lunge through opened doors, making you jump back more than once.

The controls in the game utilize the XBox R-type controller perfectly. The D-pad allows you to assign direction (^V<>) to your favorite lead/plasma/rocket/soul stocked wrist cronies. This allows for quick access. The concept of quick access is driven further with the incessant need to switch flashlight/artillery.

The single player story is told through dead people's PDAs. Pick em up (they're not using 'em anymore) and find access codes and tales of their experiences in their UAC Depts. It's an interesting way of telling a story that's been told before. I enjoyed this medium.

Online Co-Op*:

This is a great addition to the game, one that any XBliver will be very happy to have. Grab a buddy and go through the game together. I haven't solved the game in this mode, but the levels for Online Co-Op seem to be a little fewer and/or peared down from the single player game. It's a fun experience especially with a friend.

In closing, Doom 3 is a great dark masterpiece. It's very reminiscent of the old Doom games you remember from PC, seeing upgrades of your enemies and all that. You'll also remember that the enemies will come right at you, head-on, in a rather dumb sort of fashion, meaning they lack state of the art AI. That's a reason I chainsawed a star away from being a 5 star title. Don't expect flanking or running and hiding on the vermin's part. They come right at you. Many times this makes you jump back.

*The reason I structured this way is because I found the Single Player game the best experience of Doom 3. Don't cheat. Single Player meaning no spectators in the room and lights out. Stereo sound if you have it. The game is less atmospheric if you are talking to someone in the room or joking with your XBox live buddy at how fat his ex-girfriend is.

3-0 out of 5 stars It's Doom, For Better and For Worse
I make it a habit of renting games before buying them. If the game's truly worth it, I'll gladly pay the "extra" fee due to renting it first. I rented Doom3 for the Xbox, and here's my spin on it.

Pros:
- graphics are superb and very atmospheric. It's downright creepy at times.
- Excellent, atmospheric sound, and perhaps some of the best sound in any current console game.
- Good overall translation from the PC to the Xbox. Considering what the original PC specs for the game are/were, this says a *LOT*.
- FPS gameplay translates well to the console controller. Very responsive and intuitive.
- Cooperative play adds a fantastic dimension to the game. It's nice to go Demon hunting with someone else tagging along blasting bad guys as needed.
- Collector's Edition comes with Doom I and Doom II. It's worth the extra $10 for those alone, as getting those games to run on Win XP is almost impossible at times.
- A nod to id for trying to put some sort of story to it this time. A weak story, mind you, but a decent effort nonetheless. I especially like that it's the guy's first few days at the place, meaning he's none too sure of what goes where yet. The PDA feature is nice, as it eliminates the days of yore where you wandered around pulling levers for no reason.
- It's the same ol' Doom, atmosphere, zombies, demons, extremely tough boss battles, and all.

Cons:
- It's the same ol' Doom where monsters pop out of boxes in the wall...behind you...in the dark. Why can't the monsters enter the area in some manner other than a "secret" panel, say morph through the wall somehow and maintain some level of invincibility during said morphing? And the monster-behind-you-in-the-dark paradigm is a bit stale for today's games. I know it's part of the atmosphere, but it seems to be an afterthought in design to me. Maybe I'm just jaded after playing Halo/Halo2, Prince of Persia: Sands of Time, SW: Republic Commando, and others.
- Repetitive gameplay: Despite the attempt at a story, it's still go through level, monster pops out behind you, blast monster, find code or whatnot, exit level. The technology exists to do oh so much more, demonstrated by those games mentioned above.
- Equipment Usage: In the future we can travel with regularity to Mars, where we have colonies established. We have harnessed the power of plasma into weaponry, and have put supercomputers into projectile launchers. But, either due to bad supply chain management or ineptitude, we can't find any duct tape to tie a flashlight to a weapon. Nor do we have Night Vision Devices (NVDs). It's a research station where excavation takes place, and yet *no one* has mining helmets? We failed to carry forward any personal system for producing light other than the flashlight that can't be tied to anything. Missed opportunity to address this, or even add a touch of humor here. Other elements are explained in the PDAs, why not this? It seems like another afterthought to me, and more work could have been in other areas to maintain the creepiness. I understand completely the emphasis on "atmosphere" for the game, but that atmosphere could be just as easily imparted by other elements. Having to recharge a pair of NVD's for example, would lend just as much atmosphere to the game. I suppose so much horsepower went into the graphics that there was little room left to do anything else.
- Underutilized story elements: The PDA is great and all, but it's underutilized. It would be interesting if you got a certain amount of info and are then given a choice; manipulate building functions through the PDA to get out faster, albeit without as many weapons or whatnot, or go through the building popping monsters, risking much more harm, but getting better weapons at the end. Why doesn't it have a comprehensive *map* of the place on it?? It can download video and security clearances no problem, but it doesn't have a map???
- Linear gameplay: To be totally fair, this is a problem with a lot of games now, so maybe I shouldn't be too harsh. One of the endearing things about Halo2 was the ability to play as members of both sides of the conflict. I think the Doom series could benefit from some fresh thinking in that regard; letting you play as various characters who eventually meet up at the end, (or not, depending on character played), then you're given a choice as to which character to play to go after the bad guy, for example. Randomization of the levels and the like, a la Diablo and Diablo II, would breathe some modern life into the series as well...and add to that creep factor every time you played.
- (Xbox version) Paltry cheat codes: Yeah I like using them and will freely admit it. I especially like unlimited ammo cheat codes, because, well, they're fun to use *after beating the game*. If I *wanted* a real life shooting experience with limited ammo, I'd *join SOCOMM*. The PC version has an unlimited ammo code, but the Xbox version doesn't. It does however, have invincibility, the single most boring cheat code ever invented. WHY?!?!?!

So color me so-so about Doom 3. Will I buy it? Good question. Doom fanatics already have the PC and Xbox versions, love both equally much, have the board game already, several action figures around the desk, and really don't care what I have to write about it. The Collector's Edition is intriguing; knowing that I could simply insert the disk into the Xbox and play Doom and Doom II all over again without having to write some batch file on my PC to manage virtual memory or whatnot is a value added benefit. I may wait until it goes down in price, say closer to the end of the year or whatnot.

2-0 out of 5 stars A big disappointment
When i was but a lad, this kind of thing would have been a great game to play. But now as an older wiser gamer i can see through that kind of thing. By that kind of thing, i mean cheap thrills, which this game has plenty of and will use often. After playing this game for about an hour or two, you will begin to see that if you see a dark corner or hear a "SSSSSS" something is there or coming. And odds are you will shoot in the direction of the sound or darkness and almost 99.9% of the time, there is something there that you will have just killed. That's how i went through this game, and in the end i just didn't get enjoyment out of it. After finishing the final level, i really felt like i wasted my time playing it because the challenge just wasn't there. If you must play this game, do it for the graphics and rent it. Save your money. ... Read more

2-0 out of 5 stars Not good.
What the hell are you guys talking about? This expansion is terrible. Firstly in the first game you were in a never-ending maze of pitch black corridors that all looked alike. Here, you are in a never-ending maze of pitch black caves that all look alike. But caves are even more boring than metallic corridors. I mean at least the Id guys had to use some textures in the first game. But the guys who did this must have said "I know, lets make it easy on ourselves and only use 1 texture - ReddishBrown to simulate Martian sandstone." Secondly, in the first game you were constantly hit with childish horror-house tactics, eg. you walk into a room, 2 nasties appear in front of you, then the door locks behind you, the lights go out so you can't see a thing and have to fire wildly into the dark, while at the same time you hear that corny "evil" laughter - hehehehehe. Well here, you get exactly the same thing. But for me the worst thing in this expansion is the way they have filled it with platform style "obstacle courses". I hate those. They only put those in games when they've run out of ideas of what to do next. And there are a lot of them in this. You know the idea, where you've got to run before a descending wall crushes you but it is perfectly timed (even with that slow-down-time thingy) so that it takes you 8 attempts before you get it right. Annoying. That kind of thing belongs in Tomb Raider, not Doom.

4-0 out of 5 stars They learned a thing or two...
I was personally quite pleased with the first installment of Doom 3. Some low points existed, however, for me. Like the whole 'flashlight' gripe about the fact that this is the distant future and you can't even have a flashlight on your gun or helmet like they've done already so many years ago! That was just silly. And obstructive to game play as well. They addressed that here. Sort of an apology for such a ridiculous fumble. Next is the fact that while there was an assortment of 'baddies' in the first game, too many of the same-ones were thrown at you of a few sorts, while others were barely even used. This games addresses that as well. You get a nice array of new demons to kill while a few of the lesser used ones were re-introduced into this program. This program is a tad shorter than Doom 3 in my experience. But, that's O.K. with me. Too much of a good thing can go sour. You revisit a few of the locales from the first installment. But, not so many that it feels like exactly the same game. The extra weapon was nice. Familiar when compared to the weapon in Half-Life 2. But, executed very nicely. The ending was very weak. However, i personally believe that they are making room for another add-on in the near future. So, Valve did one-up the original in a lot of ways, but the fear factor is a little bit lost. As the sounds and environments feel similar to the first in an atmospheric way. So, if you've played the 'hell' out of the first, you get a 'been-there-done-that' kind of feeling when you spot another demon in the dark. But, this did have a few moments for me where i had to stop it for a short while. It can get intense.

4-0 out of 5 stars Double-barreled Savior
I liked Doom3, maybe a little too dark, but my eyes adjusted. This expansion pack wasn't much of an expansion, way too short even for $20!Living in the boondocks and all it probably took me longer to drive to the store buy it, get home and install it than it took for me to beat it, that just blows in my book.I didn't mind the fact that it was pretty much the exact same game because I really did like D3.I find it entertaining running around and mindlessly blowing $hit up.The one part that really saved D3 ROE was the fact that they made up for ID's slip - no double-barreled shotgun! What the hell, it was a great step up in Doom 2 and that crappy version they made for N64, I thought it was a guarantee that we would have been able to use it for the newest addition to the Doom family, but no.I mean come on, it's become a staple in ID's games since Doom 2, why the change?Maybe I'm flippin' out too much about a fake shotgun, but I'm sometimes like an autistic child, I'm very easily amused and upset (I'm going to hell for that one).Bottom line if you are willing to pay $20 for another 5 hours of Doom 3 go for it, otherwise the changes aren't that significant where you won't be able to live your life if you miss it.On a side note, if anyone knows where I can get a mod to use the double-barreled shotgun for D3 e-mail me or post it here. (johnkleineider@northwesternmutual.com) No complaint e-mails about my autistic crack, thanks.

2-0 out of 5 stars I call that Resurrection of Crap
So, they did manage to squezee out an expansion pack for the DOOM3. I just finished the game today and I have to say that I am utterly disappointed.
First of all, let's talk about the original doom3, with all the poor ratings from mags aside, my personaly experience is poor. There's no doubt that the graphic is surperier, however most times you wont' even get a glimps of the glory, the entire set is way too dark for a video game, at some places even with the "never dying" flashlight you still can't see your own fingers. The story line is pretty simple, no something you would expect from a newer generations of hardcore games, especially from veterian developers such as ID software. I think they focued way too much on the details on the graphics of the games instead of develop a well ploted classic, and may I remaid you that you can't see the nice graphics most of the time!!!
Second of all, the expansion pack. To start off with, I think the game really did finish last time with D3, oh crap, the bad escaped at the end. What's gonna happen? He's gonna come back and cause another Hell return. That's where the expansion pack start. Needless to say, the plot was dry and boring, (IT'S EVEN DARKER THAN THE FIRST ONE). So you go through all these elevators killing monsters mostly from the first one. with the addition of one common one that throws plasma lightbulb instead of fireball. WOW, what an improvement!!! GUNS?? usually the expansion pack come with many new and improved gears and toys to crunch your thirst for blood. The D3 ROE comes with a new "shotgun" that has double barrel and ... wait, that's it! yeh, sorry to disappoint yall, but that was it. Oh yeah... You can't just give us royal fans just one gun for the expansion pack right? Let's borrow an idea from another game HL2, the grabber, you can grab and throw back! How original! For people who hasn't played HL2 before, this might just work as ID's IDEA.
Last but certainly not least, the ending, I can't say too much about the ending, but i can tell you this much, I COULD NOT BELIEVE IT IS DONE when it's done. short and simple, no thinking or other mind twisting strategies, there's isn't even a goshdarn final clip. I mean come on, even the lamest movies have something blow up at the end. THINK ID! THINK!
Ok, i gave it 4 stars from graphics when you can see them, 0 for darkness 'cause what's the point of rating if you dont' know what you are looking at? 1 for storyline since there's really not much to it. and 0 or -1 for the ending. Man, I just can't believe i wasted time for this Resurrection of crap. (try it if you want, if you are really bored)

2-0 out of 5 stars Resurrection of Blandness
During the writing of this review I'm experiencing the same creative block that the developers obviously experienced when upper management told them to squeeze an expansion out of their rectums. Unlike them, however, I will not resort to stealing random ideas from other games (mainly the grabber, ie the equivelant ofHalf-Life 2's gravity gun) and covering the mess with lots of eye candy and dim lighting. ... 5-0 out of 5 stars Roll with a goal!!
Upon hearing about this game, my knee-jerk reaction was that it would be the most boring game in existence.I mean, seriously, how fun can it be to roll around a ball, picking up various items along the way?!Apparently more fun than anyone anticipated (judging by others' reactions and ratings)!

Other reviewers have been doing a great job describing the goal of the game; that of rolling around a sticky ball (katamari) and picking up progressively larger items.Once you get the katamari a certain size (as determined by what mission, stage, level you're on) the King of the Cosmos turns your katamari into a star or constellation.

What many of the reviewers seem to have missed is the goal of each level. The overarching theme is to make stars and constellations, in order to restore all of the stars to the sky. However, each level has specific nuances. For instance, when trying to make the constellation Taurus, the goal is to pick up the largest cow you can find.Additionally, you may want to try working on making the constellation of Gemini. In this level you need to try and pick up two (a pair) of each item.Your score is then calculated for however many pairs you have.

The game is fantastic, simple (in controls and purpose), but still challenging... with time limits to produce a certain-sized katamari.I do not own this game, and have only played it once, but I guarantee that I will be purchasing this game in the near future! It's a great game.Give it a chance!I think you'll like it!

4-0 out of 5 stars Humorous, infectuos and weird
So, you are pint sized prince who rolls katamari, a ball that everything sticks to. As things stick to katamari, ball grows and larger are the objects that you can merge with katamari. Almost all levels are time trial (I dislike time trials) and you have a size ball must reach, so you roll around and learn what levels look like in order to make katamari grow faster. All levels are medium or easy, except Poland.

Game is logical, which we haven't seen in a long time, and it is really attractive: imagine rolling 5 cm big katamari to pick up nuts and batteries in the beginning of the level and , after some time, rolling katamari big enough to pick up people, cars, buildings, and , finally, clouds and rainbows.

There should be a sequel soon, and I'd like to see levels that are different visually (Saudi Arabia looks like Russia). Some levels could have special restrictions, like it is forbidden to roll people, some levels should have interesting geometry, let's say sliding down the street or possibility to roll down the roller coaster. It would also be nice to have more levels with large katamari, and more levels in general.

The main reason game got 4 stars is camera...but, BUY! Game is weird but also really fun to play!!!

5-0 out of 5 stars ????????????? But FUN!
the developers of this game were obviously on an overdose of every drug ever created! This is the wierdest game i have ever and ever will play in my entire life! But in a good way . . . the game actualy has shadow of brilliance combined with block and and solid objects. The game however is VERY fun! which makes me wonder about drugs . . . (just kidding, drugs are bad!)all ages will find a whimsical joy in this odd, fun, and blurry brilliance. Its a bragain, u have no excuse!

5-0 out of 5 stars Fun, Fun, Fun!
This is a great game for anyone, no matter the age.
If you can use the Playstation controller, you can play this game.

Plenty of others have given good descriptions of it, so I just wanted to echo a 5 star review.

If you have kids, you will be playing right along with them, I'm sure.

5-0 out of 5 stars Tripped Out
I first played this game at a buddies house and was hooked on of all things, the tunes.Basically this game is like the others have said - the stars are gone and it's the son of the King of Cosmos' job to put them back to the sky, and re-create the constellations. So, the son goes to earth and with a ball called a Katamari, he rolles up anything from ants to skyscrapers so that a giant ball of stuff they can be elevated into the sky and turned into stars.

The thing about this game that's so addictive are the little challenges to it and finding different things that you missed the first 4 times you rolled on a level. You wind up enjoying watching others play it because you look at the details of all the objects that are around you in the game - and how impressive it is!(the amount of detail)The gameplay to this is simple and fun - one of my friends likened rolling the ball to driving the Warthog in Halo 2; not so bad of an analogy. But that's all you really need - you don't use the buttons really or anything else; just the analog sticks, which make it a game that almost anyone can play and enjoy.

Definitely recommend it.I enjoyed the game and the tunes in the game were cute if anything else.Try not to think too much of the 'plot' of the game... there really isn't one although there is a small story to carry along which is more of a gag for the tripped out herb heads. But this really is a pretty easy game that you can just pop in, take your mind off things, and play.I guess my only gripe would be that it wasn't very long at all... even though I wound up playing it for about 3 hours straight when i got it.Check it out! ... 4-0 out of 5 stars Technical problems keep it from being great
Advent Rising was announced a few years ago as the first in a trilogy that was epic in scope. It has all the workings of a great project as well. The original story began in the director's mind and he knew it would be such a grand story that he enlisted the help of notable sci-fi scribe Orson Scott Card to help work the script.Card worked on the script, getting the dialogue right and also assisted with the overall story. On top of an excellent author, they employed an orchestra and the Mormon Tabernacle Choir to perform. All of these should spell out to be a recipe for sucess. And it does, sort of.

What holds this game back from glory are the myriad of technical issues. To begin with, the game is beautiful.Graphic-wise, it reminds me of Halo 2.Halo 2 had no loading after the initial load and the graphics, while nice, suffered at times from having to be rendered quickly. The same goes for Advent Rising. In fact, while you are watching a cutscene, the game is busy loading the next sequence. What this does is put a tremendous strain on the engine. If the engine is strong, it shouldn't pose much problem. But, unfortunately, this sometimes spells disaster for Advent Rising.

The first 40 minutes of the game did not give me a great first impression.During the training sequences, the game locked up three times.I had to replay the same sequence about 4 times to get through it simply because I did something the game didn't like and it froze. The game auto-saves onces you hit certain check points and if you have to reset the game, you're starting back over from the beginning of the checkpoint.Things became much better as the game progressed and I don't remember the game freezing again.

Added to the lock ups, the game stutters when there's too many things going on at once.I don't mean when little things are happening, I mean when you have a squad of 3-4 people on your team shooting at 4-6 enemies and there's two drop ships coming in and launching missles that explode with huge flames. When that happens, the game's audio begins to "click," the frame rate drops very noticeably and things become a bit annoying. But again, this only really happens when there's a ton going on.

Unfortunately, more technical issues abound.Namely in the sound. With the beautifully orchestrated music pounding, the screams of people fleeing certain destruction, the explosions, the lazers tearing apart buildings, you'd expect to have a lot of sound.Unfortunately, in the cutscenes the sound tends to be muted. To give you an example, on my surround sound receiver (which the game supports by the way), I usually keep the sound at 10-11 for a decent, full sound that doesn't also piss off my neighbors. For this game, generally I have to have the sound on at 16-17 and it's still muted.I know the reason is probably because the game is loading the next scene and the e
