'Crystal clear picture'.......
I thought this thing was going to be a lousy product,works great! The picture is 'crystal clear',I guess it depends what kind of t.v. you buy. To bad 'Sony Playstation 2' didn't include this adapter in the box,which they should've,like 'Sega' and 'Nintendo'.

Good but only good with ps2 console
Ok, this device works without a doubt.I give it 4 out of 5 stars because it only works with ps1 and ps2 consoles.For the same price, other companies make adapters that work with other consoles which is beter in the long run in case you buy more consoles.AFter all, i dont think buying an official adapter to hook up to your tv by sony is needed.It is just wires underneath and as long as the hookups match, other brand names can do fine.My take is buy a 3rd party adapter for the same price that can hook up multiple consoles.

eventually everything dies,
well, i had this thing for a long time along with my ps2, worked fine, yep, we had some great times, almost magical, but then approximitly what, 2 years after i purchased the thing the little knobby thing that you plug the cable into is busted, cheapo thing, its too bad it is essential for my ps2, so im buying another. buy it if u must, but beware, the cheapy thing combusts

I bought this cable, so I could connect my console to a Motel 6 TV.The TV was not equipped with anything but the round Radio Frenquency (RF) connector, and the result was terrible.Lines ran through the picture constantly from outside interference and the picture was extremely blurry.INSTEAD, I recommend you use your money to buy a new TV that is equipped with standard video/audio phono plugs as a bare minimum.If possible, get a TV equipped with S-VHS or HDTV component connectors for the absolute best picture. ... Waste of money
this controller should get 0 stars but the lowest i could give it was 1. first of all, it only works with a few games. it weighs to much and it doesn't work with PSone (the small playstation). dont waste your money on it!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

AweSome!
I have had and used this card for over 7 years. It is awesome, never had a problem. For the consummate gamer this card is a must.With 480 save slots it means never switching cards again.

a waste of money
the major problem with this memory card is durability, after 2 months of use the card starts generating errors and certian pages of saved games become inaccessable, eventually it will function as a single memory card then later cease to function period.you' have better luck with standard memory cards.

Not worth your money
There is too many requirements to work ONE card.I saved a Gran Turimo 2 game on it, and the next day, it wasn't there. It erased it. :o(Don't waste your money this card.

Defective. Waste of money.
This was the first memory card i bought when i got my Playstation. I had about 14 hours worth of Sim City cities built and saved on this card, and a few other games, when it just stopped working. All the files were completely erased. When i pushed the buttons on it the numbers wouldn't even show up.

Simply fantastic. Worth twice the price in fact
Yes, you CAN use RF Adapters instead of a switcher, but why would you? RF = lowest possible Audio and Video quality. SVHS and RCA Audio jacks = Awesome picture and sound.

I bought this because I run my games through my home theater reciever. And between me and my roommate, We have DVD, VHS. PSX, Dreamcast, PS2, Gamecube and XBox. We had to constantly switch the plugs in the back. This solved all my problems and it also comes with little tabs labelled "XBox" "PS2" etc, so you can label the switches to what matches. Now all my game systems only use ONE input on my reciever.

Price to Performance/Features ratio, it can't be beat

Fixes sound degredation
For those of you who don't think you need a switcher, you must just have one or two systems connected to your VCR or TV.

Certainly a person can use those handy three-dollar y-connectors from any electronics store, however after your third console purchase it would have been just as cost effective to get a switch box.Especially once you daisy chain too many y-connectors and systems sound degredation occurs and you have to turn up the volume much higher than you would normally need to.

For those gamers with two stereo capable consoles, don't get something like this... it's once you get that third console that y-connectors are no longer cost-effective plus they degrade sound quality.For those gamers planning on owning more than two consoles in their future, one might as well spend a little extra money now to improve sound quality later.

Don't believe the bad reviews.
This is an excellent solution for people who have more than one game system to hook up.I have an N64, Gamecube, VCR, and DVD, and once I got everything hooked up, I couldn't understand how I lived without it.Yes, it's a switch box, but a well-made one.Yes, RF adapters will work, but who wants and even bigger cable nightmare?

I found this to be, as I said before, an excellent solution.

I don't know why someone would need this.I have a SNES, N64, Playstation and an Atari hooked up to my TV and they're fine without a switcher.I just have to make sure I only turn on one at a time otherwise the TV gets really confused ;Þ

This is a good idea but all you have to do is buy rf adapters and conect them togeter and pulg itinto the antenna jack on your tv. and plug the antenna in one of the rf adapters. Thats what I do so it should work. ... Read more

Don't buy from GamesAsylum!
They advertised the following:

- they sent a substitute from some unknown company and the product was a cheaply made and didn't work for what it was intended - when it was inserted between the Playstation 2 and the television - the audio was distorted and unbearable.Of course the postage cost and hassle involved to return the item would have netted me about $5-7 so I cut my losses and just won't buy from them again.If you hate to be cheated - don't buy from them either!

Much better than the madcatz one!
I tried to save [money] and bought the madcatz rfu adapter for my ps2. It was bad.Made dvd's sound like a video tape w/ bad tracking.This one from sony works like a charm.Clear picture, great sound.If you have an older TV without rca plugs, get this!

thank god for e-bay
sony packed an AC adapter in this RFU adapter box, but i made back 7 bucks on e-bay, so it's not so bad.word to the wize, don't buy accesories from sony, i see a lot of bad reviews on their products all the time.

low quality
my cord worked fine for the first week, maybe even 10 days!after that, it broke from being pulled, but not at any signifigant strenth!thats low quality

A very cool color, but dosn't save games all the time.
This memory card is very cool, it's got the color, but it dosn't always save what you want like I saved a Parisite Eve game and I was at the end of disk one, so when I went to load it it said there was no file, but when I went to the memory card screen it was there the logo. I'm just saying that was my second game it didn't save when I told it to save (the game was Alundra 2, I recomend it!!) so you better to always save it twice (overwright to make sure!! But other than that it's very cool.

the island blue memory card is worth the money. it has 15 blocks of memory and a cool color. i used to have one of these before i sold my playstation.

Twenty Bucks, eh?
I own many a Playstation memory card. They're ok, I guess, but they're a little on the slow side for saving and loading. Also, they are incompatible with Playstation 2 games. Even if you could save a PS2 title on one of these things, it would probably take up the whole card, and then some.

Also, these things should cost a lot less by now. They should be more like 12 bucks, not 20.

But on the plus side, these cards are highly reliable. I've never lost data on one of these things, even on the oldest cards I own (which I've had since '97). The generic brands are slightly cheaper, but they have bombed out on me from time to time.

Overall it's a good (and necessary) buy for all PSX owners.

Can't go wrong with an original.
There are tons of after market controlers and memory cards for the Sony PlayStation. I am a hard core, die hard believer that when buying memory cards or controlers for your PlayStation that sticking with the original equipment is always the best idea! You just can't go wrong with it. Great product and really cool colors now too!

Great controller, nice color
The PS1 controller by sony, in my opinion, is the best quality compared to other brands. The only thing I don't like is the L1 L2 R1 R2 buttons, it is confusing and difficult for me to quickly press one or the other during gameplay. Otherwise this controller is great.
Pros:
1) Small, lightweight, portable
2) Good quality
Cons:
1) L1 L2 R1 R2 buttons are confusing
2) Joysticks (in my opinion) are too close together
