    1-0 out of 5 stars I HAD A DS
Hey I had a DS. I thought it was fun and all with the touch screen. I was thinking the the DS would be better but I was wrong. Nintendo wanted to release another handheld. I dropped the DS. Here are a couple of reasons

    Graphics Suck
Lack of INNOVATIVE GAMES (skip that lack of games)
    Repetitive games and gamplay sucks
Too much hype about the piece of junk
    It is too bulky

You have your opinion I have mine.
Be smart don't be a retart get a PSP you'll be glad you did!!

1-0 out of 5 stars Hey Nintendo freaks...
Let me make a long story short, everything sucks on the DS. I have a PSP and it is very addicting and better then are worst system EVER!!! I hope you throw away your freakin DS AND BUY THE BEST SYSTEM EVER,the Sony PSP!!!!!

(PS: Nintendo did a great job on Resident Evil 4. Its my favorite game. I can't wait for The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess.)

1-0 out of 5 stars Boo! Bad System with bad games
The DS is not really a good system. Its weak system wise and the games are not exactly good. TheySUCK!!!. The systems graphics still have 2d stroller games. Don't buy the DS. Get the PSP or if you don't have enough money, save up for Xbox 360, PS3 or Nintendo Revolution. Do Not Waste Your Money on the DS!!!!!!!!!!! Buy PSP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

5-0 out of 5 stars I Love IT!!!!!! It kicks @$$!!!!
THis thing is soooo cool.If u want to get a PSP instead, Don't.The Ds is going to have very fun games and will even have the real version of Metroid Prime:Hunters.I have a DS and am very, very impressed. So overall, i give this thing a 1,00000 stars out of 5 stars!!!!!!!I LOVE THE DUAl SCREEN.D-S! D-S! D-S! D-S! D-S! D-S!

5-0 out of 5 stars The DS deserves more
Alright people, listen up. I own both a PSP and a DS. While the PSP may be more powerful, I enjoy my DS a WHOLE lot more. My reasoning is simple: Until the PSP receives better software, the Nintendo DS remains at the top of my list. What I look for in a gaming system is not time-fillers, but instead games that I want to continuously play, usually because of the story. But in givin time...Maybe the PSP will rise. ... Read more

In a surprising number of ways, the Nintendo DS is quite unlike any video game system that's come before. First, there's the two screens, one above and one below. The idea might seem like a gimmick -- the screens are far enough apart that you won't be able to see them as one long screen -- but the format works in a complementary way. Depending on the game, the DS serves action in one screen and details, maps, stats, or alternate views in the other. Switching your eyes between screens takes a little getting used to, but quickly becomes automatic, like checking a rear-view mirror while driving. Both screens are back-lit and a little larger than that of the Game Boy Advance SP, so they'll be easy to see in most conditions.

Nintendo DS used with a stylus
Players can control games using the touch-sensitive bottom screen of the DS.
The bottom screen also functions as a PDA-style touchpad. It comes with a small stylus, as well as a stylus that attaches to your thumb. This touch screen might be both the best and worst feature of the DS. One one hand, it brings the freedom of PC-style mouse control into gaming, but using it also tends to block what's going on in that screen. For example, while playing the Metroid Prime: Hunters, you could use the left thumb pad to move, the left shoulder button to fire, and the touch screen to look and jump. As you track foes on the bottom-screen map, however, your view will be partially obscured by your own right thumb.

The good news is that Nintendo has stressed a lot of comfort options, both in the operating system and in their games. Want to play Metroid without the touch-pad? Select a different control scheme in the game's option menu, which also includes configurations for lefties. You can even customize your DS to automatically play the inserted title or to start with the main menu, choose which screen to display your GBA games, to add a nickname for wireless play, and more.

Nintendo DS used with a stylus
Up to 16 players can connect wirelessly within a 100-foot radius.
That's right, the DS is wireless-enabled. Say good-bye to that daisy-chain of network cables that was previously necessary for portable multiplayer gaming. Nintendo's proprietary wireless format has a radius rated at 30 to 100 feet depending on environmental interference with its signal. Surely, it's more than enough for friends to game from one end of the bus to the other. We experimented in a small, nearly empty parking lot and got great reception at the upper end of that rating. The DS network can handle up to 16 users, though you can expect the maximum number of players to vary from game to game.

Also, unlike all but the earliest video game systems, the DS comes with a built-in application. It's called PictoChat, and it allows people to write and draw pictures in a chat-room format. Since it's built in to the DS operating system, you'll always be able to interact with other DS users.

Nintendo DS used with a stylus
The built-in program PictoChat lets you write and draw with others.
But not all is new; Nintendo has re-invested some favorite features of older platforms into the DS. It's backward compatible to the Game Boy Advance, which means that older Game Boy and Game Boy Color games won't work in this machine but GBA games will run fine (sadly, the wireless feature doesn't extend to GBA games). Like the GBA SP, the DS is powered by a rechargeable lithium-ion battery that provides approximately 10 hours of play on a four-hour charge. Old timers might recognize the A/B/X/Y face buttons from the Super Nintendo controller, though they're not in the same positions. The standard headphone jack and wide-body comfort of the first GBA model is back, coupled this time with the SP's screen-saving clamshell design. In terms of its ability to display graphics and sound, the DS is a little better -- and a whole lot smaller -- than the Nintendo 64.

Overall, the Nintendo DS represents a rather large leap in portable gaming. With some mystery shrouding the future abilities of its internal microphone (voice recognition) and its IEEE 802.11 wireless network, the DS may have left some surprises up its sleeve. --Porter B. Hall

    Pros:

    • Great design marries innovative new features with great features of old systems and lots of customizable options
    • Wireless up to 100 feet
    • Built-in PictoChat lets you write and draw pictures with up to 15 other DS users

    Cons:

    • Sometimes hard to see and use the touch screen at the same time
    • Wireless multiplayer feature won't work with GBA games
    • Can't connect to other wireless devices...yet

4-0 out of 5 stars A Great System... but where are the games!?
I'll be honest, as I was in my review of the PSP.I don't care about the competition, and going up to my best friend saying "My system is better," that in itself is childish.Any self respecting gamer buys a system to play some games!I'm not looking for a gaming entertainment center, I'm looking to have some fun and play some games!I want everyone to know that this review is for the DS alone. You won't find anything in this review about the PSP at all.I figure if you're curious about the PSP, you'll be smart enough to find a review on it.

From a certain standpoint, this is quite a revolution in gaming. The Nintendo DS is without doubt one of the most amazing things Nintendo has ever presented to the world. The Nintendo DS is a handheld powerhouse.

To begin, this is not just another Gameboy system. This is a system capable of handling 3D graphics and smooth frame rate. It has wireless capabilities, and a touch screen.

Let's start off with the gold. What makes the DS a treasure. The DS supports 64-Bit graphics, making it possible to present games in full 3D. Not only that but the picture is clear and crisp. If you have a Nintendo 64 you'll also note that the DS presents games looking a bit more lavish (look at Super Mario 64 DS for instance).

The touch screen is a new addition to gaming, and the DS makes good use of it. Enjoying the DS's touch screen is just one of the biggest joys of it. Each DS comes with a stylus. Use the stylus to touch the screen. It makes some things more convienent than sifting through a menu.

The DS is also more than just a gaming system. You can set the date, time and even an alarm clock. The DS is also wireless up to 100 feet. Using the wireless connection you can go into chatrooms with up to fifteen other people. It also makes playing multiplayer a lot easier. No more link cable!

The sound is presented in stereo. There are now two speakers as opposed to one. Plug in some headphones and the games just sound incredible!

As for GBA games. There's a seperate slot to put them in. You can select whether you want the GBA to display on the touch screen or top screen. Regardless, GBA games look clearer than they did before. They show up much brighter on the DS than previously.

The DS also comes with a charger. As with the GBA it takes about three hours to fully charge. You can play the DS while it charges as well.

In addition to the games. If you have something you must attend to but don't want to leave the DS on, just flip it closed and the system automatically goes to sleep. It's much easier than having to press certain buttons or select "sleep" from the menu.

But with all the good comes some bad. Every system has some sort of flaw. And the DS unfortunately has a few flaws of its own.

Firat of all, the games are brutally small. They're about an ince tall and an inch wide. If you don't keep your games in some sort of game case, you'll undoubtably lose them.

Another problem is that the DS doesn't have any grand titles out.The lack of games is almost insulting. If it weren't for the ability to play GBA games, there would be almost nothing for this system out.

While the DS plays GBA games, it doesn't play normal gameboy games or gameboy color games. So just because you get a DS doesn't mean you throw your previous GB systems to the side.

The buttons are small! My fingers are pretty big and it sucks to press the "B" button and suddenly hit the "Y" button along with it. I was also disappointed to find you can't configure the "Y" and "X" buttons to act when playing a GBA game.

The touch screen is nifty, but the DS almost requires the Stylus. If you touch the touch screen with your bare hands you could damage it with the oils on your fingers. The stylus is also small and easy to lose. Luckily, the DS has a place that stores it for you. It may also prove troublesome at first to keep your eye on the touch screen and the top screen.

Lastly, wireless multiplayer doesn't work with GBA games. So if you want to play a GBA game up against a friend then you'll still need the GBA link cable to do it.

The DS is a wonder, true enough. But there are a few glaring things about it. It's worth the money, but a few small things about it may grow into big problems in the long run. It's an incredible system but the small problems keep it from being perfect.

    The good
+It can handle more power than the GBA
+You can still play GBA games
    +Surround Sound and Stereo!
+Touch screen brings more intuitive gameplay
    +Lavish presentation
+Not too complex or complicated to understand
+More than just a gaming sytem. It has a clock, calender and alarm clock set.
+Wireless connection of up to 100 Feet
+Wireless connection is easy to use
    +Chat with other DS holders
+Small and compact. It fits in your pocket just like a GBA

    But of course those cons
-You shouldn't touch the touch screen with your fingers
    -The games are SMALL
-You can't play GBC or regular Gameboy games
-The buttons are a little small
-Wireless Multiplayer doesn't work with GBA games
    -Not enough games.

A great system with forgiveable cons. If you loved your GBA you'll only be doing yourself another favor by purchasing this.

I think this game is great overall but i know uve heard alot of complaints about the ds. people who tell u to get the psp and all saying it can play mp3's and videos well guess what? buy a dang mp3 or video player the ds is made to play games it may be big but it just means it holds a lot more stuff within like the mic or the pictochat even downloading games and it can play ur old games while the psp may be small but that just means the puny thing has no memory ha u psp people actually need memory sticks overall i think the ds is a greater buy.

    A Kid's Review

I was dying to get one of these but I didn't want it anymore, because I found about PSP that has better graphics, memory, sound, features, and MUCH MUCH MORE. A PSP can play dvds, mp3s, and pictures. My friend got a DS for her birthday and it was big. A PSP is smaller and lighter. Anyway, a DS is not that fun as a PSP. By the way, PSP is a portable playstation 2. If you touch the screen on a PSP, it doesn't mess up like a DS. If you want to find out more about PSP, then go to www.EBgames.com. So take my advice, and PLEASE do not buy this. A PSP have all of the DS features AND more. If your looking for small, lightwieght, exciting portable entertainment, PSP is PERFECT for you.

3-0 out of 5 stars NDS Rocks, the rest.... not so much.
Ok, these review is about the entire bundle, not just the DS (wich deserves a 5 star score on its own). I desided to buy the hole bundle thing because (in my partuclar case) it was cheaper than buying a single Nintendo DS concole at a store, beleive it or not... I'll just put everithing that comes with the bundle on a list a tell you my opinion:

Nintendo DS: its a brand new NDS, perfect condition. comes with the DS, battery charger, instructions, metroid demo, an extra stylus pen and a strap. 10/10

Brief case: grate for keaping the investment (150 dollars is a small investment to me) BUT smells like spray paint on the inside! Hoe can some one sell somethig like that, I mean if you leave it open for a while (a long while, I mean) it goes away, but I dont thuink thats fair counting the price. 6.5/10

Head Phones: Those are very nice, thy can get rolled in a n out. They sound just fine, the question is, for how long?... head phones are, in general, a poor desing, plus my ears arent made for them, Ive never had a pair of head phones that I could really wear. 9//10

Touch screen protector: these is a total waist of money. First, you don reaaly need it (as long as you don hit, and I mean HIT the screen). Second, it fell of right awy. Third, it makes the touch screen a lot less sensitive! you have to push harder in order to use the touch screen!... 5th. I think thats enough. 1/10

Strap: Not really needed but fine, its alot longer than the one the DS brings (but that one has a purpose). Its ok thou, it is safer because you can hang it around youre neck. 8/10

car battery charger: I dont trust these, basically because its not an original nintendo product and its not really needed if you charge the DS before going on a long trip. 5/10

Game holder: cheap little plastic box, holds Game Boy advance games but not the DS games. 7/10

Spider Man 2: the game is nice, a bit difficult! but entertaining. 8/10

I belive thats it, in general its ok, I play alot but I have to keep it stored for long periods of time. One last thing, the hole thing is very heavy.5 pounds. If you can get the DS with a different game (Mario 64!) and the lather case, I think hats the very best choice, I had my reasons to buy these thou.

2-0 out of 5 stars NotAll THAT!

    • Dual ScreensTwo LCD screens offer one of the most groundbreaking game-play advances ever developed: experiencing a game from two perspectives at once. Imagine the possibilities. In a racing game, drivers might see their own vehicle's perspective on one screen and an overall track view on the other. In a role-playing game, the action could take place on the first screen while the second provides a reference for a player's tools inventory. Game play also could use both screens at once, offer
    • Touch ScreenThe lower screen will offer something never before provided by any game device: PDA-like touch capabilities. Players no longer have to rely on just buttons to move characters org effects and cel shading.
    • SoundThe 16-channel sound allows for greatly expanded use of voices and music, and a richer, more immersive game experience. A plug for headphones transmits stereo sound.
    • Battery & Power ManagementThe battery is rechargeable and the unit features a low-energy-consumption design. The DS also has Power Management functions of Sleep mode and Standby mode. In Sleep mode, players can stop and resume game play whenever they like. If the user receives a message from a friend or user nearby, DS activates itself from Standby mode.

5-0 out of 5 stars DS!? Must Have!
For all of you Sony fans you review the DS and say that it sucks and it's stupid and all of that jazz, I would just like to say: YOU KNOW NOTHING FOOOOOOOOLISH WORM MONKEYS!
Any way, moving on, let's look at this awesome device. Let's start with the touch screen. This is an awesome addition to the video game system of the future. This gives the DS a cool and interesting gameplay. Okay, next is the price. For a system with a completely new gameplay this is pretty dang cheap! Finally, the games. I have at least seven games already and they all are great. Warioware, Mr.Driller, Rayman you name it, it rocks.
Plus, Mr. Iwata is generous enough to be setting up a worldwide wi-fi system where players from around the world can connect.
So, please, all of you gamers out there, trust the best in the business. Oh, I almost forgot! I'm thirteen! So all of you guys who are reading this and saying "Oh, it's just a kid. Kids know nothing" SILENCE! DS ROCKS! END OF DISSCUSSION!

    5-0 out of 5 stars Nintendo =Videogames
Hi!!! c'mon lets face it, when you say Nintendo you inmidatley think of videogames no matter what.People say Nintendo refering to a videogame machine, and you know why???because it was Nintendo who first introduce videogames to the world. They are always having fresh ideas, they dont need to prove anything to anyone they know who they are and they know also who the king of portable gaming is. Whith the Nintendo DS they change the way we used to see videogames, whith the dual screen,microphone,touch-screen, the posibility to play GBA games, and Pictochat!!! simply look no further than Nintendo DS. Other companies like Sony or Microsoft have potencial but no one has that great games Nintendo have. Tell me if i am wrong but if you look who made and continue making the games that are considered the best of the best is Nintendo. No othet company have those solid franchises Nintendo have
period. So to end, I say to everyone that reads this review: Dont forget who the creator is

5-0 out of 5 stars Nintendo DS Is way better than psp.
I got my DS as soon as it came out.It is the best handheld system ever. When I first got it I went straight to my friends house and we played for hours. It comes with a demo for Metroid Hunters which is tons of fun in 2 player mode.If don't care if you have a different opinion because Nintendo's DS is the best!!!!!!!!!!!!!

2-0 out of 5 stars Forget the DS, buy the PSP.
I reserved my DS back in July 2004.I couldn't explain how excited I was to get the thing. But now, after the PSP has launched, I liking the PSP more and more.
The DS is extremely bulky, and using the stylus while trying to play games is rather difficult. The thumb strap is OK, but it doesn't give you the precise control the analog stick gives on the PSP.
The DS doesn't have near as many colors on the screen like the PSP (DS has 260,000 colors while the PSP has over 10,000,000)And people say the DS is more durable than the PSP.Video game systems shouldn't be abused anyway. And just because DS has 2 screens doesn't make it better than the 1 screen on the PSP.By looking at the DS hardware, there is such a waste of space on the top folding section. The PSP is so much better this way.
The Sony PSP is by FAR better than the crummy DS.The only good game for the DS right now is Mario 64 DS.The PSP has a much better selection of games, and that is due to increase in the future. The PSP can do so much more than games, which is what the 21st century needs. Not just another game machine that plays games for the younger demographic.Isn't it about time 18-year old gamers like me graduate from the Mario, Donkey Kong, and Zelda franchise?I mean those games are great for kids, don't get me wrong. The PSP does indeed have mass appeal.
So, if you're trying to decide between the 2 systems, get the PSP.The DS is a weird machine altogether. The thumb strap the thing comes with is a piece of junk. The layout with the PSP's entire system is just 100% perfect, and it looks nice to the eye.And it's even easier to hold than the clunky DS.
    Long Live the PSP!

5-0 out of 5 stars Best handheld EVER!!!
The touch screen is innovative, the two screens open up new possibilities, and you can play GBA games, and it has FREE Wi-Fi multiplayer online play, and it has a longer battery life than the PSP. Yep, Nintendo did video games first, and they did them right. ... Read more

Overall, the Nintendo DS represents a rather large leap in portable gaming. With some mystery shrouding the future abilities of its internal microphone (voice recognition) and its IEEE 802.11 wireless network, the DS may have left some surprises up its sleeve. --Porter B. Hall

5-0 out of 5 stars Very Impresed!!!
Fellow gamers i have to say this console is amazing! Right now i believe they could use some strong games, but they're coming(NFSU2, Metroid Prime). I personally like Pokemon Dash. Don't get confused by all this PSP Talk. Sure the PSP has all these cool features,BUT Ds is just plain funner. The psp runs for 4 hrs on ridge racer, while ds run 6-10! This is a must buy!

1-0 out of 5 stars ?ds?
If I were you I would wait a while before purchising this item. I have done a little research on both psp and ds and I am leaning towards psp. First off I've never liked Sony or Nintendo but I must say I was impressed at this item. I was so close to buying the ds that I had the money in my hand and I was standing at the counter. The store(EB games) had some pictures of the psp hanging around. I was impressed by its looks espessilly its huge screen. I had a talk with the clerk who had owned a ds and had played a psp import. I was amazed by its features (pictures, dvd quality movies, music, much better graphics, better games, smaller size, quicker charge time, internet acess, farther wireless playing, an international gameplay option on launch, interchangable lighting, slick disign, larger game space, possible downloadable movies). I decided to hold onto my money and wait for the psp. I suggest you do too. Maybe if your a big nintendo fan wait for that new gameboy to come out I heard it was going to be great. As for the ds I'm just not impressed.

4-0 out of 5 stars It's Not Perfect, But Pretty Damn Close!
First know that I didn't get this bundle, I bought everything seperately and don't have the carrying case.

DS Review: The DS is the first portable game system to go 3-D, with the exception of Wing Commander: Prophecy for the Game Boy Advance. This is also the first portable game system to have a touch screen except for PDA games, and it also has a microphone and two screens. This game system is a pretty good size, even though it takes a little getting used to, especially if you want to use the touch screen for an analog stick as I do.Nintendo hasn't yet released many maintenance kits on this system, things like screen protectors, but they do have stylus packs. When you get this system, also get the Pelican screen protectors, I think they are the only company yet to come out with DS screen protectors, and they are better than nothing. They worked fine for me.The system is designed well and looks good, and the stylus placement is placed well. The problem is with the thumbpad which you usually use as your thumb on an analog stick.I'm a righty, but if you are a lefty, it's hard to reach over with the pad because it is tied to the system on the left side, but you can easily just take it off.The other problem is the multiplayer. There isn't much point with the wireless if it can only go 30-100 feet.Even though you can't get tangled up, so its better in that respect, I can't play against my next door neighbor without going to his house.I wish that they made this longer, and hope someday they do.I give this system 4.7/5 stars.

Super Mario 64: This is a great starter, and probably the only game worth buying at launch. It has good graphics, and not that many bugs in it.You can use the buttons to move and do everything, and you can also use the touch screen with either hand as an analog stick with the thumb pad. This game is a lot of fun, and multiplayer is decent too.The game is HUGE, it is bigger than the original 64 version, and the card is so much smaller.Oh yeah, the cards. The game cards can be good or bad. They are the size of a small CF card, except I think it is a little smaller.Sorry, that didn't have much to do with the game.Anyway, this game is the best one out there so far, and it will suppy you with plenty of hours of fun. This is the only game I have with the exception of the Metroid Prime Hunters demo, and I never play Hunters.I play Mario at my house like a regular game system, I don't have to be traveling or really bored either. The only thing wrong with this game is that the touch screen analog stick simulator isn't perfect, but that's more of a system fault than the game, and you can just use the D-Pad if its that much of a problem.

My conclusion is that this game and system is good, and if you have enough money and can afford it, it is definetely worth the money.

I bought the ds out of hesitation thinking yet this will be cool, but at the same time noting the lack of software support. I thought the graphics were impressive, a major step above Gameboy Advance... Tho after playing through all the games available i grew bored and impatient waiting for something new. I also found that when i played the DS i would get cramps in my hand due to the poor chasis design. What did i do i traded my DS for a psp (japanese model) and i am happier than i was with the ds. Now to put some facts straight the psp does support wireless play more so than the ds since the psp can connect to a wireless network and play via the internet. The psp does have a disk drive (duh) thats where the games are inserted (i love uneducated reviews). The psp's battery life is shorter than the ds but hey i couldnt play the ds over 5 hours without getting cramps so whats the diffrence. Graphics wise the psp is far better than the ds, if you want to validate this statement look for screenshots of ridgeracer for the Ds and then for the psp compare. I owned both versions and the psps blows the ds's away graphicly and audibly. For my closing i would like to say that having a game machine that plays mp3s, videos, acts as a picture viewer is a perk not a downfall so stop claiming it as that. PSP is gonna own Nintendo just wait and watch. Oh and for the guy that stated he doesnt need another laptop why did you buy another pc? (xbox) ... Read more

1-0 out of 5 stars Boo!
So, I bought this Nintendo DS Safe Case by Intec. Unfortunately, it held only three games. So I'm thinking either A.L.S. NDS-15 Case or this one. I don't really trust this company because it is not licensed by Nintendo, but A.L.S. is. I don't think my case is going to last that long. The side of this is the same as one I has. When those little bumps get pushed in, they don't look good. Plus, this is more expensive than NDS 15! NDS 15 is like a bag. Or you might like NDS 14. There is 1% chance of getting this and 99% of getting NDS 15. And that Pro Gamer's Kit sucks!!!!!

1-0 out of 5 stars Bad choice
The handle on the case broke within 24 hours. My child was so looking forward to a place to keep everything together. It was a big disappointment. Themanufacturer should have put a bit more care into how the case was put together, after all even though it isn't a toy per say, it is housing an expensive piece of electronics.

I have the Intec box for my GCN and NDS and I must say they are the best in portable storage cases. My only beef is that the NDS case kinda looks like a purse when you have it next to your luggage box, lol. I highly recomend all Intec products execpt the battery pack. ...

3-0 out of 5 stars Its cool but the lack of games.....
I got a Nintendo DS for Christmas. I have to say that I do like it. However the amount of good games available is not as great as I would expect for a system about to face intense competition (I.E., Playstation Portable). I have played the Metroid demo to death as well as Super Mario 64 DS. I am impressed by the system. I eagerly await some decent games (the reason i wanted it is the soon to be released Final Fantasy 3 never released in the USA) and compatibility with other WI-FI devices for true wireless online play. I hope to play some great games soon.

4-0 out of 5 stars What an amazing device

To those who say the DS is too big and bulky, I'm preplexed.I can fit in my pocket with ease. It's not too heavy and doesn't drag my pocket down.I can fit it just about anywhere.

A great system with forgiveable cons. If you loved your GBA you'll only be doing yourself another favor by purchasing this.

5-0 out of 5 stars My Life with a Nintendo DS
My life with a nintendo DS would be magnificent!!!I want it really bad. Everyone in my class has expect"ME". I think that the DS is the best thing a kid wants.

4-0 out of 5 stars Great Features
If you want an unbelievably perfect graphics system, then u should wait for the psp. But if you want a system with still good graphics, amazing touch-screen features, and chatting functions, then you better get the Nintendo ds. the psp has the best graphics, but it looks very hard to control, as it is so wide and the games aren't that good. The ds has almost as good graphics, along with great games and so many extra features, including microphone, a stylus+touch screen, and even wireless multiplayer and chat functions.

4-0 out of 5 stars a fine case for NDS
The case is a lot smaller than I thought. I gave my GBASP to my cousin so I can't tell you how it would fit it the case. But my NDS fits fine. It is a little bit tight but I guess that's better than not be able to fit in there. Notice that GBA games don't fit well on the other side of the case. I guess if you push it really hard, the case can hold the games (just barely). On the other hand, NDS games fit perfectly. In addition, you can stick something else (AC adaptor, more games...) into the pocket on the side of the games.
This is not a perfect case, but it does look pretty cool and can hang on to a few items (most importantly, your NDS!)

    3-0 out of 5 stars ?
Picture?? Anyone?? A picture of the item would greatly influence my decision, so here's a marketing tip: SHOW THE PEOPLE WHAT YOU WANT THEM TO BUY, DON'T SIT THERE AND TELL THEM ABOUT IT. Intensive research has concluded that at least 85-90% of people learn visually, not verbally. So for them to picture how their DS would look in the case, they need to actually see the case for themselves, whether it be a picture (which would be how most people would prefer to see it) or driving up to a Toys R Us store just to see what it looks like. Come on, Amazon, I know you can do better than this.

5-0 out of 5 stars The Best Case for your Nintendo DS!!
This case is the best one out there. Most of the other third-party cases are tight, hold only 2 games or less, and the cases have been known to open by themselves thus letting your expensive DS drop to the ground. But with this case, you get the best protection for your DS as well as a lot of space for not only 8+ games, but also space for your acssesories such as the AC adapter and extra stylus. This case is also licsened by Nintendo unlike the other third-party cases so its guarenteed to work.

5-0 out of 5 stars Well worth the price to save your screen from harm
It's really critical to keep your DS screens protected - especially the touch screen. The clamshell design is nice - but not enough.

Pretty much any screen protector you are going to buy is going to involve a plastic film that you VERY carefully have to apply to the 2 screens. Yes, you have to clean your base screen very, very thoroughly first, so you don't trap any dirt or oil. Yes, you have to be very careful about applying the film, so that it goes on smoothly. Otherwise you have air pockets beneath the film. This is normal for ANY film you are going to apply, to any screen - whether it's a DS, a Palm Pilot, etc. So if you have problems cleaning screens or carefully applying films, this is good practice :)

Once the screen is applied, it works really well. The upper film is perfectly see-through, and doesn't have any affect at all on seeing the images. The lower film, on the touch screen, keeps the stylus from wrecking the touch screen. You still can't hammer at it - there is the pressure-sensitive pad beneath the screen that you don't want to wear out. But it will help protect that lower screen from scratches and marks.

The pack I got came with a soft cloth (like for eyeglasses) which helps keep lint off the screens - and with 2 extra stylusses. The original DS stylus is just a piece of plastic. These 2 replacements ones have a metal core and a plastic top and bottom. They claim the plastic bottom / tip is "softer" than the original, but I really find no difference at all. On the downside, the 'top' (i.e. the thing you pull at to get the stylus out of its DS sheath) isn't attached well. Of the 2 stylusses I got, one of them already had the top disattached right out of the package. Still, the other one is good and I do use it.

You definitely want to protect those DS screens from harm. If you end up scratching the films after months of use, then they did their job, protecting your real screens from that harm. Simply pull off the old screens, clean off the glue, and then put on new ones. It's far cheaper than buying a new DS, or playing with annoying scratches on your screens!

4-0 out of 5 stars A good product for the price.
I picked up these screen protectors for $4, and have had no problem with them.I cleaned my screens thoroughly before application, which may be the cause of unclear screens that other users have noted and applied them.I had some air bubbles in the top screen after application, but the protector easily peeled off, and I was able to re-apply it without a problem. These definitely require a clean screen and a steady hand, but these protectors are clear, and work well.

1-0 out of 5 stars Absolutely horrible!!!!!!!!
I got this because i had some extra money left over for buying my DS. I was putting them on and the "soft" card thing they give scratch it the moment i put the things on!! So after awhile i decided it's just attracting dirt and it not worth it so i take them off... WHAT!! It leaves a stick residue. on my screen. I took them off probably two months ago and i still haven't been able to get the stuff off.

DO NOT BUY THE ITEM. YOU ARE BETTER OFF WITH YOUR SCREEN BARE.

1-0 out of 5 stars Another Option
I haven't bought this for my DS because of all the reviews saying how it gunks up the screens.Until Nintendo comes up with an official product you can try getting a package of screen protectors for a Palm or other handheld device and cutting it to size. It's a bit of a bother, but worth it to protect your investment.

Fellowes makes a very good product that won't mess up your screens.I don't know if it will detract from the gaming experience - it hasn't bothered me while playing Urbz - but may be difficult for games that rely solely on the touchscreen feature of the DS.Happy gaming!

1-0 out of 5 stars GET THE GUNK OFF AFTER YOU REMOVE SCEENSAVER
THE SCREEN SAVERS SERVE THEIR PURPOSE BUT IF YOU TRY TO REMOVE THEM YOU HAVE A GUNKY MESS, ESPECIALLY ON THE TOP SCREEN. YOU CAN REMOVE THE ADHESIVE IN SECONDS WITH CLINIQUE "TAKE THE DAY OFF" MAKEUP REMOVER FOR LIDS, LASHES,& LIPS. YOU CAN BUY THIS AT CLINIQUE MAKEUP COUNTERS IN MACYS,OR ANY WHERE THEY SELL CLINIQUE.IT SOUNDS SILLY BUT THE MAKEUP REMOVER IS OIL BASED AND CUTS RIGHT THROUGH THE GOO!!! YOU CAN USE A SOFT CLOTH OR A Q-TIP AND USE SPARINGLY. I ALSO SUGGEST WAITING UNTIL NINTENDO MAKES A SCREEN PROTECTOR LICENSED BY THEM. ... Read more

1-0 out of 5 stars Too Big!
These are suppose to be for kids- they are really big- more for an adult ear.

2-0 out of 5 stars not worth the price
these Intec earbuds are the smae as the ones in the starter kit. the retracting thing is good. but the headphones lack any bass quality. don't buy!

    2-0 out of 5 stars Ouch! >.O
Ouch! If you have somewhat small ears, these are not good at all! They fit someone with an ear shaped like this >> OThey're too big for the inside of your ear, but if you happen to have a large inside of your ear, these should fit fine. They didn't work for me, but they might for you. Good luck and enjoy.

4-0 out of 5 stars Very nice and helpful
Well this has a cloth, a car charger, two jumbo stylii, screen protectors and 2 3-DS/3-GBA game cases. The cloth is to clean your screens, no big deal there. The car charger I have yet to use because nintendo did a good job with the battery life (ahem not sony ahem). The jumbo stylii are much easier to hold than the normal minuscule stylii, and each has a little slot in each game case. The screen protectors I am rather disappointed with however. The bottom one attracts dust and dirt, and the top one uses an adhesive that leaves marks when you remove it, contraary to the statement on the box.The 2 game cases are the only reason i bought this. They are soooooo incredibly great and helpful, because each holds 3 DS and 3 GBA games, as well as a jumbo stylus. This means you can carry around just about every game made for the DS in the two in this pack (nintendo needs to make more games).
Overall i find the best things in this are the stylii and game cases.Unless you don't plan on removing them, the screen protectors should not be used.
Also, if this kit damages your DS, the company will get you a new one free of charge. ... Read more
