5-0 out of 5 stars super mario 64 ds
its preety cool but its really hard its okay though i kinda like it its and its fun.

1-0 out of 5 stars The Worst Game I've Ever Wasted Time On
I don't understand how Vivendi Universal could turn out such swill for a piece of hardware such as the DS that offers so much.

The DS has wireless capabilities, a microphone for things like voice and sound recognition, a normal screen and a touch screen. So, what do we get out of a Robot's DS game? A nearly exact port of the GBA version of the game. This wouldn't be so bad if the GBA version also wasn't such a mediocre version, but it is. Here's the run down on the DS version:

Graphics: poor. might have been ok for SNES, but doesn't cut in on a brand new platform.

Sound: Equally poor. Repetetive and anooying.

Gameplay: Boring at best, frustrating at worst. The game is slow, story thin, enemies few and far between, and the physics engine is horrid. You'll spend more time walking from one place to another, doing nothing, than you will doing anything else.

Positive aspects: The only halfway decent thing to note is the robot transport system, when you control a ball speeding through the robot city. Control is poor, the feature is repetitive, but it is the only thing to even hint at what the game could actually have been like.

I know the lack of DS games may be frustrating, but don't get this just to have another game. Wait a few more weeks and there will be some good ones coming.

3-0 out of 5 stars Graphically Okay, But not as fun!
Robots is pretty much a port of the GBA game but with a few added features to utilize the touchpad. The graphics are pretty decent on the DS, but the gameplay and replay value could use a little help. I suggest you rent the game or try it out before you buy. It's great for the kids, but for the average adult, you may want to look elsewhere. Try WarioWare Touched! It's a game with great replay value!

5-0 out of 5 stars This game looks cool. I really want to play it.
This game should be good. I want to buy it. I don't have it yet but I am going to save up for it... ... Read more

3-0 out of 5 stars its ok...
some people are being too harsh. it is a bit of a rip off, but come on! "shame on nintendo for allowing this to be released" thats kind of mean. but this is game is a lot of fun if you know other people with a ds but alone, its not that great. but its cool to trade hats and clothes with other people and try to make your guy/girl as cool as possible. i kind of like it personally, although is really only fun for about 5 minutes.

1-0 out of 5 stars Do not buy!
It is a shame Nintendo made this game. I thought it would be a game where you could play tons of really fun mini games. I was WRONG! There are 2 singe player mini games and 2 multi-player mini games. They aren't even fun to play at all. With those mini games you get coins to buy clothes stuff for your character, which is really stupid. I would suggest that you buy this game if you like limited games that aren't fun and if you like to dress up things things, only to look at them while you play the boring mini games. So save yourself the money and buy some good game like Super Mario 64 DS or something like that!

1-0 out of 5 stars Positive Reviews must be from developers
I am amazed that there are a few positive reviews here. Please disregard these reviews as they must be from folks with a stake in this game.Basically, this "game" is making you pay for what you already get.It is a shame Nintendo deceived its fans by even allowing it to be released. So much for their past seal of quality.

2-0 out of 5 stars Why buy fancy Pictochat?
This game is just a fancy version of Pictochat. The whole "person" thing is boring, and you don't need it for a simple chatting software. I think THQ was trying almost to make a mini wireless sims, where you could talk to other people and trade items, but believe me, NO ONE WILL BE ON!!! I preordered this game before the DS came out, and the game looked fun. back then I also thought the DS could connect to a Wireless Hotspot and go online, but, i was wrong. Another Downside to this game is that there are the totally crappy games, especially "solo chat". the stupidest one is "hot potato" where you and a friend type "pass" when you get the vurtual potato. fun. But really, stick to Pictochat, this is a waste of your money.

5-0 out of 5 stars Creative and a whole lotta fun!
GREAT game! Very creative and different, and most of all just a lot of fun. It is not a dating game, though you do go on a blind date in one of the levels. You have to achieve different goals by having conversations with different people. (By the way, you can play either a girl or a guy in the game.) It's pretty cool watching people's reactions depending on what you say. I would definetly recommend this game. I have been enjoying it very much and have never played anything like it before. It has become one of my favorites so far in my collection of DS games.

1-0 out of 5 stars Nintendo's Wallet is the only thing to get lucky.
This is not a funky, hip, cute game. It is BORING.

Do NOT buy this game. I had a bad feeling about this game and avoided it like the plague until boredom and a lack of DS games led me to read the fabulous reviews here on Amazon. I reluctantly bought the game, and have been amazingly disappointed.

It is a frustrating conversation game, nothing more. What do I mean by a conversation game? Well, the top screen has the person you are talking to. The bottom screen prints what they say, and then you pick what you want to say back. That is IT. This game is a complete waste of the DS format. No touching involved, no timing, no dexterity... you can even select everything with the control pad and `A' button with no trouble at all. This game format is so incredibly poor that it could have been released on the Game Boy Color, and the only compromise would have been in how pretty the picture the person you are talking to is. I did not say GBA. I'm talking Game Boy Color. (Yes, this game is that far beneath the DS format.)

Why is this game frustrating? If you don't pick an exact sequence of responses within the conversations, or at least very close to an exact formula, the game is over and you have to start at the beginning of the `scene' again. When you complete THAT conversation, guess what? You get a new conversation to guess your way through and restart five times.

Worst of all, the conversation is NOT snappy, unique, or humorous. I played this game for about two hours, hoping it would evolve into something other than a seemingly endless string of mind-numbingly dull conversation patterns. It did not.

I don't know what I regret more - the money I spent on this game, or the hours lost playing it.

But I'm sure people will vote my review not helpful because they are fans of this game. Whatever.

5-0 out of 5 stars The best game I never played.
Honestly, I never played the game. I simply never got the chance, as the game was hi-jacked by my girlfriend. Who simply ADORED Sprung! She played it over and over again. She laughed out loud. She blushed. Her toes curled.

My curiosity was piqued. I just had to know what the fuss was about. I just had to know why my Nintendo DS was being bogarted. After a few minutes of looking over her shoulder - I understood.

The game isn't your typical videogame, by any means. Instead, it is a "digital comic" - a popular game genre in Japan. (To date and to my knowledge, the only other digital comic game to have made it to U.S. shores was Snatcher for the Sega CD.) This game is essentially a "choose your own adventure" book, but with the added benefit of lush and modern graphics and catchy music.

The humor borders on adult and is well suited for a teen audience. Basically, it adheres to modern television standards. Ultimately, parents will have to decide if their child should play this game.

As it stands, the game is fantastic for young girls and guys alike. However, some of the more insecure guys may feel uncomfortable playing a game that doesn't involve mutilations and prostitute killing.

3-0 out of 5 stars Not the best ever, but good for a laugh.
It's not the greatest game you'll ever play but it is rather amusing, and is something nice to pick up every once in a while when you're not looking for anything hardcore.

The game plays almost like a choose your own adventure book. Missions are given like : get these two on a date or make sure this person gets out of the club. Ultimately trying to hook up with your 'crush'.You control the way the story plays out, and there are alternite paths to go by. Interaction with people is purley on a multiple choice level, but it doesn't limit your interaction with characters.

You can also play the game as a girl or a boy, and unlock items you recieve from friends to help you with your goals and duel screen posters of major events.

5-0 out of 5 stars Great Game!!!
Well, this at first was a game that I thought I wouldn't like. But it's actually quite fun!! I highly recommend it! And you can really learn some good dating tips from this ;) the whole game is like your living the life of this girl or boy, and you have to get the conversations right, or else gameover! But, you get unlimited tries at each scene, so don' fret if you mess up! It's somewhat like SIMS, but a more detailed talking, etc. and you don't live their entire lives. Anyways, very good game, good expresions, very fun overall! Enjoy! ... Read more

5-0 out of 5 stars PSP stupid
PSP games are boring okay psp have good graphics if you know nintendo has a lot of experience on portable consoles, the psp is a tentative product but nintendo will win again i am not impress by psp has movies but the portables consoles are mading for entretaiment not for see stupid movies by the way Hollywood are madding mediocres movies(not star wars movies).

2-0 out of 5 stars Spider-loser 2
Oh gees, another DS game with no touch-screen. A big disappointment. Spider-man 2 blows. The lack of fighting and touchy "web slinging" moves kind of draws you out of the game. An with no map it's hard to see where you are going without flying into fire or a thug. Don't waste your time... better yet, avoid the DS. Only 16 games. Only 5 use the touchscreen. You can kiss nintendo goodbye now that the PSP is on the market with 26 games.

2-0 out of 5 stars I expected more...
I'm a gamer. that's all there is to it. I saw this game at target and then wasted 39 bucks on it. this game is cruddy. it's gameplay is rather slow, and 2-D. Really i expected more. the ds is capaple of so much, with the added help of the touch screen. you start out with 3 special abilitys, and it's imposible to get more, exept with cheats. Then i saw the PSP version, and i was stunned. All i want is to save you people from wasting 30 bucks. Might i reccomend Rayman DS.

3-0 out of 5 stars This gameis really hard
When I got this game for easter i was really happy because I thought it was just like the ps2 one but I was wrong ... It is sooo much harder to beat the bad guys and to recsuce all the people frome the burning building I still never beat the first level because I cant find the secret unlockThis game wasnt all that funbecause it was just so hard

3-0 out of 5 stars N/A
The game is quite a game actually u can use different moves accessed by the touch screen. For some reason this game is a little pricier and it isnt quite one of ds's best games. i wouldnt recommend spending money on this game until uve tried the other games first but if ur an expert gamer and just wanna test this game out give out 40 bucks and give it a test try. ... 5-0 out of 5 stars A unique, addictive puzzle game
I first played Mr. Driller in the arcade. It's a fun puzzle game where you dig through colored blocks as you try to go further and further down. As you dig, the blocks above you become unstable, and can fall and crush you. You also need to periodically pick up air capsules so you don't suffocate. It was a great game, and my friends and I would take turns playing.

The Nintendo DS version is the same basic game. You control your character on the lower screen while the top screen allows you to see further above you. This would have been useful in the older versions, as blocks used to fall seemingly randomly from up above.

The levels are deeper in the DS version. In the arcade and on the PlayStation version, you could only choose between 2500 m and 5000 m, but every time you dig was 10 m, so it is more like a 250 m and 500 m level in the DS version. If you finish a level, you can unlock more characters that have special abilities, like being faster, able to climb higher, or even able to be hit by a block once.

The game seems be a little harder than the older versions. There are new blocks which can shatter without notice and cause avalanches, and there are boulders which will not "stick" tend to fall. For some reason, it seems like the air capsules are a little harder to get and air runs out more quickly in this version of the game.

Unfortunately, I haven't played any of the other versions, so I cannot comment on the differences from those versions. I also haven't been able to play multiplayer mode against my friends yet, since none of them have a Nintendo DS.

Overall, this is a great puzzle game. It's easy to learn, fun to play, and very addictive. I highly recommend it.

4-0 out of 5 stars Driller drills into Nintendo DS
Mr.Driller is a pain in the [...] to get uesd to, but after about 20 dies you'll get the hang of it. I've inly played this game long enough to unlock one person:Puchi. He's cool. It wasn't that easy tp get him though. The higher meters there are on a level the more faster your air bars runs out, which makes this game really hard. I only really bought it because the game I wanted took to long to get here. I also got it because it's a multiplayer game. I like multiplayer games the best. The only games I have for Nintendo DS are multiplayer games.Metroid, Football, and Mr.Driller are all multiplayer games.

4-0 out of 5 stars Great puzzler game
Driller is a great time waster game. If may seem annoying at first, but it becomes addictive after a few tries at the game. It's a tough game that takes a little to get used to. But once you get the hang of the game, it could have some good replay value. Great if you love puzzle games. For action, look elsewhere.

3-0 out of 5 stars Namco sends over a neutered driller
Fans of Mr. Driller in North America should be used to getting shafted by now.Drill Spirits is the first driller game to come this way since the Dreamcast and Gameboy Color games, and a good one it is too.Pressure mode gives you an actual boss to fight, and Mission Driller is classic Mr. Driller.

But for some reason, we are getting only about 60% of the game (though we pay 100% of the price)The concurrent Japanese version contains an additional mode, called Doristone Mode that gives a totally new angle to the gameplay, it is slower moving and more puzzle like, very unique and fun to play.Mission Driller adds a 2000M Moon level with modified graphics and special power ups.The game supports single card multiplayer (in America every player needs a card), and there are apparently more unlocable characters in the game (though I've yet to find them).

Anyway, all that stuff is absent from the American version; the import would run around $40-$50 dollars; so if you can't afford that, and don't mind getting the ripoff version of the game, this cart is the way to go.

The game itself is excellent, fast paced and fun. It's just too bad it's not all here. And the reason for the short shrift we're getting is just inscrutable. So um, bite me Namco.

4-0 out of 5 stars An adorably evil little game.
I'd never played a Mr. Driller game until now, but I'm glad I picked this one up. It's a fun, cute, and challenging puzzle game which I enjoyed.
The voiceovers and between-level cut-scenes were a little too cute and Disney-esque, but good for a brief laugh. Play control was flawless; I died only due to my own lack of foresight as opposed to difficulty controlling the character.
The game is a quick play-through, but the extra modes and motivation of seeing how the cut-scenes vary from character to character add replay value, and five-against-one multiplayer is a fantastic experience. Small children will be lured in (and older kids will be turned off) by the cute graphics and bright colors, but within is a deep, engrossing, and suberbly challenging puzzle game. One of the best DS games so far. Sequel, please! ... Read more
