Amazon.com Review

This special Nintendo GameCube bundle includes four complete classic Zelda games on one disc: The Legend of Zelda, Zelda II: The Adventure of Link, The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time, and The Legend of Zelda: Majora's Mask. The disc also includes a playable demo for The Legend of Zelda: The Wind Waker, a short retrospective history of the Zelda series, and gameplay footage highlights from The Legend of Zelda: The Wind Waker.

Though it looks like a toy, don't be fooled: the Nintendo GameCube is a powerful video game console that rightly deserves its place among the other next-generation game systems. In fact, its playful, appealing design and small size (the unit is a not-quite-cubed 6 inches) aren't the only features that set it apart from the others.

For starters, Nintendo has quite clearly made this a game-only machine. It doesn't try to play your CD collection, run your movies, read your e-mail, or store your MP3 files. The company has concentrated its efforts on games. All the prelaunch titles we've seen play smoothly, with bright, fast graphics and great sound. Nintendo says its engineers have removed traditional bottlenecks that have, in the past, slowed down processing. New components designed by IBM and MoSys, as well as a large-capacity secondary memory cache, keep instructions moving through the system's microprocessor (MPU) at peak levels. In English: the GameCube is optimized to push speed up while pushing costs down; hence its position at the lower end of the price spectrum.

The GameCube is the first Nintendo video game system to use a disc-based medium rather than cartridges for its games. Moving the software to disc media generally means lower development costs for the publishers, which, in turn, trickles down to the consumer not only in price, but also in availability and quality, as it's then easier to try out untested game ideas (Pikmin, anyone?). While most other systems likewise have their games stored on discs, the GameCube's 3-inch format is smaller than everyone else's, and is so designed to fit in a shirt pocket as much as to deter would-be software pirates.

Of course, the main advantage of the GameCube is that it's the home field of one of the world's premier game designers: Nintendo. While powerhouses Electronic Arts and Sega make games for all systems (including this one), you can play Nintendo games only on a Nintendo system. And Nintendo, you might recall, has been hitting them out of the park since it started with Donkey Kong. In fact, here's a roll call of characters and series you won't find on the other consoles: Mario, Legend of Zelda, Perfect Dark, Metroid, Kirby, and, of course, Pokémon. A few names that the GameCube will share with the other guys: Madden, Tony Hawk, Sonic, Batman, and Star Wars.

The system also comes with four built-in controller ports, so you can easily plug in extra controllers and let friends join in for the multiplayer games--it's even got a built-in handle so you can easily move it to a friend's house. It comes with two memory card slots for saving your progress through games, and there's the capacity for future expansion into the world of online gaming.

In short, the GameCube isn't an all-in-one entertainment system, and neither is it the most powerful of the modern video game consoles. But for video game enthusiasts who want to stick with their favorite characters, its value cannot be beat. --Porter B. Hall

5-0 out of 5 stars Great system.
Ok, where can I start? Oh...yes...THIS SYSTEM ROCKS. Sure, Sony lures you in with the extra crappy parts such as a DVD player that barely works, but this system is BUILT TO PLAY GAMES AND PLAY GAMES ONLY. Also, the graphics are great, and the controller fits like a glove. There are so many cool exclusives too, like:

The Legend of Zelda: The Wind Waker, Star Wars: Rogue Squadron II, Star Wars: Rogue Squadron III, VIewtiful Joe, Mario Kart: Double Dash!!, Mario Party 4, Mario Party 5, Pikmin, Animal Crossing, Metroid Prime, Super Monkey Ball, Super Monkey Ball 2, Super Smash Bros. Melee, The Legend of Zelda: Four Swords Adventures, Final Fantasy: Crystal Chronicles, F-Zero GX, The Legend of Zelda: Collector's Edition, Tales of Symphonia, 1080 Avalanche, Custom Robo.

And games that are coming out:

Metroid Prime II: Echoes, The Legend of Zelda(working title), Pikmin II, and Viewtiful Joe II.

There are 4 controller ports...unlike the PS2...(C'mon, the SEGA DREAMCAST HAS FOUR; WHY DO YOU, PS2, HAVE TO HAVE 2??)

There is a good wireless controller for the GC..the Wavebird...the ones for the other major systems SUCK.

GC is NOT filled with kiddie games...Metal Gear Solid? Metroid Prime? Resident Evil? C'MON!

GC has cool features you can buy to tie it in with the Game Boy Advance...the Gameboy Player, and GBA-NGC cables. It is a good idea, though, it costs so much to play games like Final Fantasy: Crystal Chronicles and Zelda-Four Swords Adventures 4-Player...Nintendo got greedy then.

The Gamecube is also very small and portable. The XBox is massive!

I just wish Nintendo supports online play...

So, there you have it. GameCube rocks. Have $99? GET ONE! You'll be happy you did.

5-0 out of 5 stars My favorite system
Just a word of advice...Don't listen to the Marketplace sellers trying to rip you off by selling GameCubes for up to almost $300...they only cost $99 new. Also, you can get the Zelda classis 4-in-1 disc on Nintendo's online store and a lot less than the 3rd party sellers are asking. Many of the systems come with it at no extra cost.

5-0 out of 5 stars My favorite system...hands down.
PS2 may have a better range of games, but it's technology is already outdated compared to Gamecube and has very limited memory. In fact, multi-platform games are often scaled down to work on the PS2. 3 main problems people have with GC are:

1. No CD/DVD compatibility: Nintendo wanted to make a system for GAMES...I have my own CD and DVD player, why would I want that on my game system? The small size of Nintendo's discs allow it to be so small in size and mobile and proves a challenge for illegal copy making.

2. No Online Capabilities: NOT TRUE...anymore that is. You can now buy an internet adapter and more and more games are coming out that support online play.

3. Nintendo is a "kiddie" system: Nintendo aims to please all of it's gamers young and old...not just one group, and there are an increasing number of mature games on GC. Nintendo is doing it's best to get rid of the "kiddie" title.

**Just a word of advice...Don't listen to the Marketplace sellers trying to rip you off by selling GameCubes for up to almost $300...they only cost $99, and that's brand new. Also, you can get the Zelda classis 4-in-1 disc on Nintendo's online store and a lot less than the 3rd party sellers are asking. If you get a gamecube that includes the game...which many do, you don't have to pay for it at all.

4-0 out of 5 stars Some people like PS2...but I have a DVD player!
A gamecube is hard to describe...cheap...mario...Shigeru Miyamoto(I know that's hard to say). The only two gamecube disadvantages are: no dvd player and lacks in online play. The gamecube has much more pros than cons, though. Like you can only get the "Miyamoto" games like mario, zelda, donkey kong, etc. So I say buy, buy, buy(not the song!).

5-0 out of 5 stars Followup to "Corey Duskin's" review...
I myself traded my old Nintendo made card for my little sister's Nyko Black 4mb memory card (can anyone say...RIP...OFF?). This worked great. I don't see how it got corrupted. I even tested it after reading his review. It will not corrupt unless you save the game and while saving you pull it out or while its loading you pull it out (this is the same with ALL memory cards). This one DOES seem a slight bit more fragile, though. Just DON'T TOUCH THE MEMORY CARD when loading or saving and you will be fine! Don't let anything bump it or move it! Also, if you do bump it, only the data for the game your playing will corrupt, not everything. I would reccomend purchasing this memory card(you can hold about x10 the normal one could)
P.S.-my new e-mail is powerslave6041@yahoo.com

3-0 out of 5 stars Good, but not without Problems
This Memory Card hold a LOT.The standard Nintendo-made card holds 0.6 Megabytes, but this holds 4 entire Megabytes, thanks to compression. So the card can hold a ton, but it could become corrupted very easily.I don't know how stable it is, but I would for sure use it, but back the really important stuff up to a Memory Card 59, or Nintendo's upcoming Memory Card 251, just to be safe.

1-0 out of 5 stars EVIL!
last year I got a gamecube for christmas and I wanted to play games with my dad so the next day I went out and got this HUNK OF BLOODY NO GOOD WASTE OF MONEY PEICE OF CRAP!! The only reason I got it was because it was 10$ less and it looked cool... and comfortable-fww- I brought it home and tryed it out. It was awful! If you play games with it for much more than half an hour it kills you thumb. And it's no good if you want to play late at night without waking up your parents cause the buttons make a lot more noise than the normal controlers. (Hit a dime on some hollow metal and it's about as loud) It's mis-shaped and it just wont feel right on your hand. It almost seems like it sticks to your hand too.
I stongly erge you not to buy this controller, don't make my mistake and say, 'this looks nice and... oh look! it's 10 bucks cheaper than the nintendo ones too!'

4-0 out of 5 stars Why you dont want to buy this
why do you want to buy this piece of junk i mean when i bought it i was happy and all when i was playing lord of the rings the return of the king when all of the sudden i pressed the a button and boom it got stuck there for a good minute then was back to where it was god.

4-0 out of 5 stars Not A Very Good Controller
When I first bought the controller, I thought it looked cool and would be great because of the grips. But after about 5 months, the A and B buttons are both stuck in the controller. THIS CONTROLLER WILL NOT LAST.

1-0 out of 5 stars This is a controller,I thought is was a bookend!
This controller is not worth buying. People say they break after 2 weeks, one day, etc.Mine broke when I got it,I got Mario Kart:Double Dash(and a Gamecube)for Christmas.I thought,"Gee,I should get another controller. So I went to Walmart(on December 26 one of the busiest days of the year.)Saw that controller, brought it home and well...the A,B,X,and Y buttons only works.Have you ever been to Walmart return center the day before Christmas??They have lines os coke bottles lined up to show you where to go.

2-0 out of 5 stars Cubicon Stinks!
I bought a Gamecube a few weeks ago. It came with a free game and a starter pack. Of course the Cubicon controller was in the starter pack. At first, the Cubicon was all I used, but then I actually tried the Nintendo brand controller that came in the Gamecube box. I am glad I tried it! Because when I tried the Nintendo brand one, I was amazed! It felt so much better than the Cubicon! One reason why I hate the Cubicon is because the B button is down too low and when you reach for it the C stick gets in the way! The reason I gave it 2 stars was because it has a rubber grip on it (I like grips). But now I don't even touch the thing! It is a waste of money!!!!! DONT BUY IT! ... Read more

1-0 out of 5 stars Not Worth it
12 hours may seem like a long time but keep in mind according to Nintendo you can get up to 100 hours on a single pair of regular AAs.And no you won't be able to recharge this thing an unlimited number of times, I've purchased a number of battery packs for the gameboy and gameboy advance systems, after 20-25 charges you'll be lucky if you can get an hour out of them and will need a new pack. You also have to charge this thing for about 12 hours each time it's been drained (24 before the first use).

3-0 out of 5 stars NOT just a cd case
basically, it holds 8 mini discs and like 6 regular cds. you just have to figure out how to use the clear plastic mini disc holders in the front. don't know why they made it for big cds though.

2-0 out of 5 stars A CD case and nothing more
After acquiring my GameCube and a number of games, I was looking for an easy way to store them. This case sounded like a great idea, until I relized that it really is just a CD case and is not specifically designed for the minidiscs.Better to use an old CD case and save yourself the money, or go with a case that really is designed to hold these games. The games certainly cost enough, putting them into the wrong case just isn't worth it.

1-0 out of 5 stars NOT for GameCube Minidiscs
This is a CD case plain and simple. It's not made for MiniDVDs, and the discs just slide around inside it and will probably get scratchedafter a while. I'm surprised Nintendo even let them make this.If you want a real MINIDVD case for your Gamecube games, go with Pelican brand. It's tiny, MiniDVD sized, has a soft foam case and holds 12 discs back to back.Hopefully Amazon will offer it soon.

5-0 out of 5 stars Sounds Great
This is a great place to keep your games especially if you are traveling or going to a fellow gamecube owner's house. Who would want to carry around 10 cases? Not me. I recently purchased a mobile monitor (Jet Black) and I will be taking it on many car trips. I do not want to take the risk of breaking my games or cases on the ride. So I will bring this case and not have to take my cases. I know many of you are wondering how many games will this hold. I am too. I do not think nintendo will sell a product that holds fewer than ten games. So if you have or are planning to purchase a gamecube this is a MUST HAVE!

5-0 out of 5 stars This looks good...
but like somebody else said, and i said on the message board, i would liketo know just HOW MANY minidiscs it can hold!Porter, editorial review? ... Read more

5-0 out of 5 stars wow....this is awsome
I stared at this thing for like 30 minates when I bought it thinking....(how in the world am I going to be able to play a gamecube game on this tiny T.V. Even bigger 5 inch srceens don't look that good when playing games on them) Then, the second I turned it on my eyes bugged out of head! dispite size, the techogly put into this thing makes it clearer than a nomal T.V! I believe it's called a FVF srceen? all I know is that from the second I turned on this device, I know I have seen the future of portable gaming. oh there is one small bad thing though, even thought it looks as sharp as playing on a T.V, some of the already small text can be hard to read. other than that, I usally play on this now in my room because I enjoy playing on it much more. p.s.(don't listen to reviews done by people that don't own this product)

5-0 out of 5 stars Great Item
This is one of the most valuable investments you can make. If you don't have a tv in your car or room. You can play and have just as much fun as a regular tv. When you recieve the item the screen looks small but when you get playing it is just as big as usual. With ajustable sound and color you can play just the way you like it.

5-0 out of 5 stars get it and read this !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
you must buy this item!!! it is great use in the car because it isn't big and easy to move around. look at it this way have youi ever played a gameboy. It's joust like that but the screen is an inch or two bigger and better color. if you nave an adapter its an easy way to play in the car. also just get a case to but your gamecube in get out the controller put the screen in and you're playing in the car. you have a 2.6 inch in on the controller for $40 instead of paying 100-150 dollars for a 5.4 inch. this is a great item and not to much money.

5-0 out of 5 stars Hip Gear
A hip gear product indeed. A product the gives electronics a big technelogical leap! This product is a great way to enhance your Nintendo Gamecube. I rated it five stars because of it's sleek look and style with a great grip controller. I can promise u that this product will be everlasting fun in your house and escpecially on the go. When u think parents are talking about boring stuff then take out this advanced product and give it a good and go and start playing. Traveling will be a new experience with this cool and new hip gear system. You will love it. For me, i don't see any flaws with this console. Give it a try u will be glad u did.

4-0 out of 5 stars Buy this
This is a must have for all serious gamecube gamers. I mean, the low price would be pretty good for just the screen itself, but with a controller, too! (okay, so thr controller might not be of the greatest quality, but that's the only reason i gave it 4 stars instead of 5). And if you are complaning about the splitscreen capabilities, then don't use multiplayer with this product! It's as simple as that! besides, this is mainly for portable use, and you usually don't have many people with you when your on the road or in the office.
It's got speakers, a color screen, and darn good graphics and picture quality, making it one of the best buys out of all gamecube accesories. ... Read more

4-0 out of 5 stars GameCube Carrier
I received this case as a gift about a year ago, and have been using it ever since. At first I thought it was perfect, with enough space for everything I wanted to carry with me.In the main pocket, you can fit around 5 instruction manuals (probably more if you tried), two controllers, the GCN console, and the AC adapter and S-video cables (Hint: pack the console in first, and the cables can rest on top). The game disc slots in the front are enough to hold 6 games comfortably, and if you stacked them label-to-label you could fit up to 12.I also carry my wavebird controller and three memory cards in the pocket on the back. However, if I wanted to carry another controller to bring my total to four, I would be out of luck.I would like to point out though that I have yet to see a case with enough space for four controllers. The only reason this gets a four and not a five is that all of the padding is pretty thin, so it offers very little protection.

4-0 out of 5 stars Good medium sized case
When I was shopping for a gamecube case I was looking for something that could hold my entire system. This entailed at the very least a gamecube, 4 controllers, power brick, component cables, a couple games and a couple memory cards. After a little trial and error and an extra clip on bag for the power brick I found that I could fit all this into this case. Note that I did require and extra bag for the power connection as this case is definately not designed for this much hardware.

On the positive side the slots on the front inner surface of the case for games are very handy. Padding is acceptable throughout although you better not drop it. It can comfortably hold a system with two controllers although you can pack more if you try hard. The overall look compliments the gamecube nicely.

On the negative this bag cannot hold a complete 4 controller system without some extra containers.

1-0 out of 5 stars This thing is to small
When you have something as small as a Game Cube, you would think you need a small case... Wrong! I have a large case about three times the size of this one and it's still hard to fit the Game Cube, all the cords, the screen, and not to mention the controlers and the games! It's worth the extra cash to get a larger case if it means your stuff wont get droped and you have to buy a new one.

2-0 out of 5 stars Need more room
I bought this case for my son.I was hoping that the portable monitor would fit, but it doesn't.The monitor truly makes Gamecube a portable system, but without protection for the monitor, it will not be traveling far.

3-0 out of 5 stars Works as advertised.
Nice looking carrier but still a little too small.Just a couple of inches larger on each dimension and it would have been nicer for carrying things. As it is you really have to pack it tight to get two controllers plus the AC adaptor in it. ... Read more

5-0 out of 5 stars If you want an opinion...
This is a good travel bag. It's compact, and fits your Cube, all the wires and connections (inc. Adapters), one controller, and a game box.No, it's not big enough to carry every Cube item you have, because if it was, it wouldn't be compact.Eh?

Although it's a little expensive, it's still a good bag, that's durable, and all you'll need (especially as a beginner Cubist).

1-0 out of 5 stars dont buy this, your cube wont fit
i bought this thinking that when i traveled to my freinds houses i could bring my ney cube. wrong i had to bring a plastic bag with my ac cable games and my third controler. the sides couldent even hold the wires let alone controlers. i had to put the controlers in the game slot and carry the games separate.

bottom line dont buy this try another

1-0 out of 5 stars If you want to go anywhere with your cube dont buy this case
The pockets especially the sidepockets on this case are pretty much useless. They are too narrow for the controllers and way too narrow for the ac adapter. The AV cables fit though.I keep the controllers in the back pocket. The AC adapter is to big to fit anywhere. When I did take my system to a friends house I kept my games and adapter in another bag.Shop around for another size case if you plan on taking your cube anywhere.

4-0 out of 5 stars (...)
I may not be a professional reviewer, (...), but this thing rocks! It WILL hold a component of the Gamecube on each side. I usually put the a/v cable in one side, my mini-cd holder in the other one. It will only hold one controller in the pockets, yes. (...). you put one in the back pocket, and you put one up top at the bottom of the harness and tighten it, so while you're walking around with the strap around your shoulder, it ALSO holds a controller on the bottom part. Overall, GCN carrier four stars. Although, for serious gamers like me, You probably WILL need a bigger one. I have tried the huge ones and they're VERY, VERY useful

1-0 out of 5 stars Just Plain Bad Design.
For $20.00 you would be better off buying a duffle bag.
This thing is deceptive and the design sucks.
This is what this little gem does.
1. Holds one gamecube.
2. Holds 2 game packs, barely.
3. Holds 1 control and the ac adapter and cables.
This is why it (....).
There are two pockets on the sides of this carrier
that can't hold any of the components for the cube.
Not only are they worthless the material is really
stiff and the pockets are really narrow. They could
have taken the time to make those pockets big enough to hold
a controller (or the ac)on each side and then you could at least have
two controllers in the carrier. It is nice to protect the
gamecube but for $20.00 I think it could be a lot better.
If you have more than one controller you are going to need
a bigger carrier. I know they make other ones but have not tried them, it looks like they are all made by the same company,
so they can't be that much better. ... Read more

2-0 out of 5 stars Not Really Worth The Money
I bought this for my son for Christmas and when he hooked it up to his gamecube, one speaker didn't work at all and the other one the sound was so low you had to put your ear next to the speaker to hear it and that was with the sound turned all the way up!
I returned it right away for refund.

5-0 out of 5 stars AH! Too much sound!
Don't underestimate these little speakers. They can really fill a room with sound, hence the price. The volume control has no remote, but thats okay, considering how good a deal this is. The LED lights, which light up to the sounds going through it, are a nice touch, giving it the "high-end" feel. Though they really only react to bass, not treble. There is no equalizer, so you're going to have to live with that. But, in a loud game like, say, Extreme G, you won't care. This is a great budget sound system, if you ask me. The cool part is, also, that you can connect 3 other A/V devices to it. I have my PS2, N64, and satellite television reciever in stereo now! A great deal.

1-0 out of 5 stars Just avoid Intec...
I bought some intec products before...they all suck.
Intec is one of the worst third party video game accessary company out there. A lot worse than Madcatz, Pelican, etc.
Avoid this company. Never buy their products unless you want to waste your money.
When you want a speaker, go after a decent brand, such as logitech. Their Z340 is 20 bucks and Z640 is arount 50 if you search the net careful enough. Those speaks will be at least 100 times better than this one.
I guess all the other reviewers who gave this high scores must all came from Intec. Be careful, people.

4-0 out of 5 stars help
oh my gosh this is the best thing u can get worth every penny!!!!!!

4-0 out of 5 stars Good Sound Quality
For two speakers they produce a nice sound. Intec always finds a way to make decent products and these speakers are no exception. If you own a Gamecube you won't be sorry with this system. They are cost effective and they produce sound like higher end speakers. They also make speakers for other gaming platforms. PS2 AND XBOX. ... Read more

Amazon.com Review

This special Nintendo GameCube bundle includes the 3-D adventure game Super Mario Sunshine. In Super Mario Sunshine, players chase a vandal who has been spreading graffiti around an island paradise and framing Mario for the misdeeds. The bundle also includes a Memory Card 59 so you can save your progress through the game.

--Porter B. Hall

4-0 out of 5 stars Mario Sunshine Nintendo GameCube Bundle Review
Absolutely fabulous system. It has great graphics and the game included was very fun.If you can get this system, do so right away.Or if Mario isn't your thing then they have a great Zelda bundle also.Overall great system.

4-0 out of 5 stars Cool system
[This review is ONLY for the Gamecube console. For my review of Super Mario Sunshine, check out the item's respective page.]

In late 2001, Nintendo released its latest console - The Gamecube (or GCN.) The new console would be doing battle with the other two big consoles - The Playstation 2, and the XBOX. To this day the battles for sales continue. Read on for pros and cons on this system.

PROS:
-Nintendo's first 128-bit system
-More affordable than other next-gen consoles
-Small size makes it easy to transport
-Features the most comfortable controller ever made for any system
-Large variety of games (this ISN'T just a kid's system)
-Can be connected to Game Boy Advance with some games
-Many games are available on this system only
-More powerful than the PS2
-Nintendo is the most trusted name in gaming
-With an LCD screen (sold separately,) you can make the system portable
-A reliable wireless controller is available

CONS:
-It uses discs, not cartridges. Discs can't save data, so you need a memory card. Likewise, it doesn't have a hard drive like the XBOX.
-No DVD or CDplayer. These are features considered standard on most modern consoles.
-Variety of games pales in comparison to the PS2
-Not quite as powerful a system as the XBOX
-Only includes one controller, and NO game
-Not enough "anthology" games (collections of games from past Nintendo systems)

Overall this is an excellent systems, but you may want to look the shortcomings over before you make the purchase. Still, Nintendo is the most trusted name in video gaming, and this console, in many ways, shows you why.

5-0 out of 5 stars I Love This Cmobination Pack
I just got mine in the mail today that I ordered on Thursday from Amazon. I love this combination pack. Mario Sunshine is really a neat game. I also have the Nintendo 64. And I like the game cube better because it is smaller and more compact. The game is a great game. I am glad that they put in a good game instead of one of those stuped cheap ones. I have always been into the the electronic toys. And i have a Sega Genesis, A Sega Game Core System, A Nintendo 64, a Game-Boy Advance, and now a Nintendo Game Cube. I personally prefer the Nintendo Products any day of the week.

5-0 out of 5 stars GameCube
I am relatively new to console gaming.I've been using my Mac for most gaming.I recently came across some extra money and decided to get a console. The decision to get a GameCube was pretty simple.Nintendo has been in the console business longer than the other two. They have the past performance.I don't rely on Micro$oft for anything.I'm certainly not going to spend my spare time on one of their products.

As far as the cube itself, I couldn't be happier. The graphics are great, the system is easy to use.For the amount of gaming I do (three to five hours a week) it's perfect.I like that's it's built for four players.I would definatly recommend it to anyone. ... Read more

5-0 out of 5 stars A 5 star product!
I bought this product because my stock Gamecube controllers would just barely reach the couch, meaning I was always uncomfortable. Now here is where this gets tricky. I have a friend who has wavebird controllers, and those are pretty cool. (In case you live in a cave: they are wireless). However, playing Final Fantasy: Crystal Chronicles with friends requires a Gameboy Advanced hook up which would not work with a wavebird.

I'd recommend this over wavebird for the following reasons, it's 10ft long (so it will reach wherever you are), It can hook up to GBA (which is good for FF and other games that use it), It doesn't require batteries, and it costs 1/3 as much.

If you're stretching to play a game, or can't reach at all, this is your item. (If this review was helpful to you, please say so and click "yes" below). :) Thanks. ... Read more

4-0 out of 5 stars They do the trick...
I bought a couple of these a week or so ago, and they've proved to be a worthwhile purchase. I've used them both on my PS2 and my XBox, and they work fine on both. Since I don't own a Game Cube I can't confirm its compatibility. The built in plug is designed to work with a PS2 and they come with adapters for the other two systems. The only reason I give them four stars and not five is that they seem fickle about how far you unwind them. If you don't unwind at least a few feet of cable then they will sporadically lose their connection to the controller. It's not a big deal, but makes them less than perfect. ... Read more

5-0 out of 5 stars Nintendo, I LOVE YOU
Well i got the gamecube in summer 2003. i got a free Legend of Zelda: The Windwaker+ a free The Legend of Zelda:The Ocarina of Time and bought Super Monkey Ball 2. The gamecube has been a very good friend. nothing went wrong. And this system is just for GAMES(i wish i could underline games). The controller isvery comfortable. And you can't compare gamecube with ps2 or xbox.A gamecube is in a different category. It is a gaming device ONLY.PS2 and XBox are multimedia devices. THe gamecube is a lower price because, well, uuhhhh, just read the editorial review. And besides Gameboy Advance,N64,and Dreamcast where else can you play with 3D Sonic the Hedgehog* ,Mario,Link,Samus,
Luigi,Pokemon,Kirby, and DK. Besides the cube has the best games including the best multiplayer game known to mankind( Hey somewhere in the world supersmart apes could be making video games lol)Super Smash Bros. Melee. This has a whole buncha adventure games that involve puzzles-great for the mind(i think) parents.Overall the gamecube is great for sonic lovers, nintendo fans, and adventure fans.

5-0 out of 5 stars Yo, u rock!
Hello! I luuuuv video games, and play them 24/7. This dude, has been Z coolest! Yah, man! DUDE! (u also suck buuuutt...)

5-0 out of 5 stars yes, Yes, YES
What do you get when you collide a small price, the best system in the world, the best multiplayer game for that system, the best Star Wars game and the truest to the Rebellion trilligy and the sweet jet black color instead of Indigo into one packige?
The best deal you can get.Anyone here love the N64?You're crazy.Super Nintendo was the best.Graphics were fine, they had great RPGs with squarsoft, but then squaresoft left them when the N64 came out.Now the GC has the gameplay of the PS2, the RPGs of the Sega Dreamcast and the wonderful adventure and multiplayer games into one. This is a must-buy.

4-0 out of 5 stars Gamecube is a great system
I have a Gamecube, and I can safely say it's an excellent buy.It has great graphics, four controller ports, online capability, plus it's cheaper than the other systems since it doesn't come with a DVD.If you have a DVD already, then buying a Gamecube means you don't have to pay ... extra ...for something you don't want. The biggest objections to Nintendo systems are usually "it's a kiddy system, or it doesn't have any RPGs", but Zelda is an excellent RPG and the James Bond games for N64 and now GC are anything but "kiddy".All around, the GC is a balanced system with games for all ages. The onely reason I rate it as a 4 is because it's game library is just getting going.

5-0 out of 5 stars The Best Nintendo...EVER!
This nintendo is the best in a long line of different systems. I really like playing Pikmin, Luigi's Mansion, and Super Smash Bros.:Melee. The Xbox and the PS2 are good but for nintendo lovers, (like me), the GC is the way to go! Other games I would recomend are Wave Race, Rouge Leader, and Tony Hawk Pro Skater 3. Their all fun fun FUN! In my opinion theres no better game system any where.

4-0 out of 5 stars The best pack ever!!!
It includes two of the best games for the Nintendo GameCube. It even has a memory card and a controller so that you can play and save your games. It only has one controller however, and I think that it should have had two. If you don't have a Nintendo Gamecube yet, then you should buy this. ... Read more
