4-0 out of 5 stars Great Product!
Bought this for my 6 year old gaming/tv freak, very sturdy construction with no worries of tipping the 27 inch tv. Currently we have a DVD/VCR combo on the second shelf and a GameCube on the bottom. The only problem we have had is the spacing slats that hold the DVD's in place don't hold them tightly enough and they sometimes fall off of the stand. Easy to put together and even easier to keep clean.

5-0 out of 5 stars way way better than the first 2!
this video game center is way better than the first 2 video centers from step2, this one fits all my ps2 and gamecube games perfectly and neat, the other two are more old fashioned and don't fit ps2, gamcube, and dvds like this one does.this game center is real strong the other 2 are'nt. my 27 inch tv fits good and looks nice on the game center. and the other bad thing bout the other two video game centers is you can only fit 19 inch or smaller tvs on them and if your a real gamer you would want a bigger tv cause your games look alot better. ... 1-0 out of 5 stars Don't buy this!! It pixelates the screen!!!
Using this screen protector seems to dim the screen and pixelates it turning the awesome graphics of the PSP into garbage. Save yourself 10 bucks and don't buy this thing.

1-0 out of 5 stars DO NOT BUY THIS!!!
Wow, an absolute waste of $10!I for one did not have lint problems, but you certainly have to be careful when applying it if you don't want any lint to get caught under the screen guard.
My biggest problem is what someone else said about how the guard distorts the LCD.I think it has an anti-glare coating, but it makes everything on the LCD look blurry and you get a "rainbow" effect which produces colors on the screen that aren't there.
Sure it prevents scratches, but I think having one or two scratches on a clear LCD is better than having zero scratches on what is now a blurry piece of junk.I hope this thing isn't too hard to remove...

5-0 out of 5 stars Works Great!
This screen protector works great!People complain that you need to keep it free of dust. This is true. You need to clean the screen really good. All you need to do is use the provided cleaning cloth and maybe even get a can of compressed air to blow off any remaining dust.Than follow the directions on the box EXACTALLY as it tells you.I had no problems with it at all.If you are a teenager and are having trouble just ask your parents for help.Once applied you could not ask for anything better. It will save your PSP from any scratches and keep the screen free from fingerprints. The screen quality does not change with the exception of maybe being a little darker. It is really not noticeable though. It greatly reduces glare and that is a major bonus. All in all a great purchace.I highly recommend buying one.I hope you all enjoy it's added protection as much as I do.

1-0 out of 5 stars Absolutely horrible
As everyone mentioned, this thing attracts lint like crazy, Before putting it on, make sure you use the cleaning cloth and have one of those compressed air cans handy. Trust me, you'll need it if you want to make sure you don't trap a spec of dust underneath the screen protector.

The image quality is what makes this thing absolutely worthless. Ridge Racer looks like crap with this thing on. Same thing with Spiderman and other movies. Everything is dimmer and the "pixelated twinkle" effect make your PSP look awful. Even if you get this free as a gift, go in and exchange it for something else.

1-0 out of 5 stars Beware linty homes. I know it works. I saw it work.
I just got so frustrated with this POS I just twisted the films into thin string and threw them away (no way I can get my money back now) because I just could not get rid of the damned lint!!! This thing attracts lint like you wouldn't believe!! BOTH FILMS!!! I'm ordering somemore because I'm a glutton for punishment. Next time I'm applying the film outside under a plastic tarp! I just have to give it 1 star because this stuff is impossible if you live in a linty home and if you shed skin and invisible body hair (which includes all humans).

If other products are like this, then these things suck and there's no way for them to get better since they rely on static electricity. GDI!!!

I just couldn't believe it. What an instant waste of $10 I could have spent on food or something. ... Read more

83. GameCube Broadband Adapter

Amazon.com Product Description

The GameCube Broadband Adapter allows for high-speed connection through a DSL or cable modem and is purely designed for online gaming--it doesn't support regular Internet access or Web browsing. The adapter is easily installed, simply snapping into serial port 1 on the underside of the console. The Broadband Adapter can also theoretically be used for linking two or more GameCube systems together, allowing for network gaming without the need for online access.

To use the Broadband Adapter you'll need a 10 megabit (10Base-T) or 100 megabit (100Base-TX) network cable, a broadband connection device such as a cable modem or DSL adapter with an available Ethernet port, and a valid account with a Broadband Internet Service Provider. Please be aware that some service providers, eg. AOL, do not allow outside software to access their services without the use of a special login tool. Please contact your service provider if you're not sure whether or not they allow this. ... Read more

1-0 out of 5 stars Don't waste your money...
Listen fanboys, there are... what... 5 games that support the BBA adaptor... only one of which is internet based? Don't waste your money... the only reason you'd want to buy this is to upload homebrew with the Fantasy Star exploit... but even then... this adaptor is only 10mbit so it would take a large amount of time to upload any sort large applications... play on PS2 online or Xbox Connect...

5-0 out of 5 stars Broadband ROCKS!! MK: DD DOES WORK EVERYONE
The BBA is incredible!!! I don't have PSO but I've used Mario Kart with Warp Pipe (http://www.warppipe.com) and it rocks the house!! I just snap in the adapter, use a crossover cable to connect it to my wireless computer, then go!! I admit PS2 Network Adapter is easier to set up, simply connect it to a router and go, but Warp Pipe and the BBA have the skills to math that!! Okay, so it can't surf the internet, but it's a pure GAMES CONSOLE (which is also why it's faster than the PS2 by 100MHz) You MUST buy this if you have a gamecube!!

5-0 out of 5 stars Some of You are Crazy
The Broadband Adapter for the Nintendo Gamecube is what we've all been waiting for. XBox and PS2 are both way ahead of Gamecube in the technology race, so this adapter that adds an ethernet port to the side of your 'Cube is a must-have. The adapter fits nicely into Seriel Port 1 on your Gamecube console. Now, regarding my title...

I've seen quite a few reviews stating that this adapter does not work with Mario Kart: Double Dash!! and that it said so in the instuction pamphlet. Mark my words: this is a complete lie! Right on the back of the Mario Kart box is the logo stating that it's Broadband Compatible. I don't know why those reviewers chose to say that nonsense. Using Warp Pipe (www.warppipe.com), this game works almost flawlessly with the adapter.

Some other games that you can use online and with Warp Pipe are:
1080: Avalanche
Kirby: Air Ride
Phantasy Star Online: Episodes I&II
Phantasy Star Online: Episode III

If you have a home network and a computer, this is an excellent upgrade for your Gamecube. Trust me.

1-0 out of 5 stars Wait, Nintendo doesn't have online play? or does it?
Corny title. But I will keep this short and sweet, I will buy the GCBA a.s.a I get any LAN possable games. Oh, and the 1 star is only b/c I haven't reviewed it yet. But as many peeps know Warppipe is software used to connect LAN games only with your IP and router. I can even say this, If you use a wireless router (like me), you can't play it like that. You need to use the main router in your house. Oh, and those who say that WP is crap, this is only the bata version and not the offical version, ok. Oh yeah, there is another online game comming out. You can look it up on walmart or here.

5-0 out of 5 stars It can be used with other games!
Go to http://www.warppipe.com/ . With Warp Pipe, you can use this very broadband adapter to play Kirby Air Ride, Mario Kart: Double Dash!, and 1080°: Avalanche with people all around the world! ... Read more

5-0 out of 5 stars travel tested - luv it
well, I have my case for over a year now and it's still working
I travel a lot, expecially by plane and I think everybody knows what that means...
I'm used to have my GBA in my hand luggage and so it needed some kind of protecion.
This mini case is perfect!
I can carry 2 games with it (3 if you leave one IN the GBA) and until now it never opend by itself.
My GBA got no damages after all the checking it got at every airport I've been.
Also, because of all the stress at airports nowadays, it's quite normal (for me *gg*) to accidentally drop my purse. Even so neither the GBA nor the case itself got ANY damage.

I really recommend it

5-0 out of 5 stars Bling for your SP!
I was recently gifted with an ultra-cool Pearl Pink Game Boy SP from Japan to fulfill my girlish desires for gaming fun and sparkle at the same time. I love it...and what better to put my Girlie Girl SP in but this cool metal case?
It is a perfect square, and has room for storing a game or two underneath the Game Boy. Even better, it comes with a strap, so you can give Paris Hilton a run for her money with your *hot* new purse. Now you will never be without your favorite boredom killer with this convenient and safe way to bring your SP with you. If you just need to store your SP, you can choose any old nylon or vinyl case, but if you want to carry your SP with style and flare, you must get this!

(Oh, and for boys, it's all cool and metal and stuff and you'll be really manly and cool if you get it!) ;)

5-0 out of 5 stars The safest thing for a GBA SP
This toy is the safest thing for a GBA SP because if you dropped it from about six feet and opened the case, it wuold be in the same condition as it was when you put it in. Perfect for travle or keeping it safe in your room in storage.

5-0 out of 5 stars Not really that large, perfect for GBA.
Intec made an awesome case here. The SP fits in snugly with the ability to put about 3 more games inside. The hard shell protects the GBA from all the abuse you can hand out, without compromising the contents inside. It is a bit bigger then the smallest GBA case out there, but it still fits in the palm of your hand. I keep my GBA in my school backpack for my time between college classes. I have some heavy books, and this has protected it, and gotten through it not too badly. Definitely pick it up!

5-0 out of 5 stars great for travel....
I bought this for my Gameboy Advance SP and it works really well for those who would like to use it for astorage place or for someone (like me) who travels alot. It has protected mine many times, but may not be good for carring around the neck. This is not safe to use in this manner. It's cute and I love mine. I've heard people say some bad things about it, but if you're going to use it for a protective purpose or travel this is perfect for you and great investment for your money. Fits perfectly in suitcase and totebags and I've found it fits great in childrens backpacks and some Lady purses. Highly reccomend this. I also have the Gamers case that looks like this one, but only bigger. ... Read more

5-0 out of 5 stars Essential
For any Gamecube gamer this memory card is essential. I do not understand why Nintendo waited so long to create a bigger memory card than the 59, which is all but useless now.

A must buy for any serious gamer.

4-0 out of 5 stars Yes!
If you have another, sell it and buy this (Unless, of course, you have the 1019). I have the 59, and it fills up way too fast. Third-party companies DO NOT completely understand how memory is stored, so it will get corrupted. Buy this.

3-0 out of 5 stars stupid
I have away better memory card the mad cats wich holds 102 blocks
of memory.

2-0 out of 5 stars Only251 blocks BOOOO!!!!!!
Why Get this one when you can get one from Mad Catz that has 1019 blocks

5-0 out of 5 stars You Cannot Go Wrong with Quality or Price
Sometimes going the 3rd party route for game accessories is an okay deal. However, when choosing a memory card that'll save the data you worked hard for, the Memory Card should be chosen well.

Comparison to 3rd Party:
Many times, 3rd party brand memory cards promise much space. For the price, they hold a large amount of game files.Sadly, many times people lose their data.Either they are corrupted, it refuses to recognize the card or it keeps asking to reformat the card. The errors are more consistant, and so far I have never once had a problem with losing my data on the official Gamecube Memory Card by Nintendo.Buy 3rd Party Memory Cards at your own risk.

Comparing less memory versus 251 slots:
If you are on a tight budget, (as many gamers are) buying the official Nintendo Memory Card of 59 slots may seem the best way to go.Sure you get 59 slots, and you feel as if it'll last long enough, but it never seems to.Sure the 59 slot memory card is roughly $5.00 less, but you are getting significanly less space. The 251 memory card has 4x the space of the 59 space one.
Let's do the Math:
251 slots for around: $20
59 slots for around: $15

Buying the 59 slot Memory Card 4 Times Gives you This:
236 Slots for around $60
----
Overall, buy the official Nintendo Memory Card with 251 slots and you will not only get quality but save money in the long run. ... Read more

5-0 out of 5 stars Cool looking gun, but trigger demands muscle
OVERALL
The Innovation Technologies XBox Light Gun is a great purchase. It fulfills all the requirements of a gun accessory and looks great.Compact and full xbox controller functionality, this is a hard product not to consider for your shooting games. It's got the style and the handling down nicely. You won't regret buying this light gun over the Mad Catz.

PRESENTATION
The sleek black design with stylishly placed green buttons make the Xbox Light Gun from Innovation Technologies an attractive purchase. The layout is as cleverly sorted as a gamer could wish for.The joypad is very easy to work with -- it's situated right behind the hammer. It's actually better than the poorly constructed joypad on the Pelican Silent Scope Rifle. The other buttons are a little soft when pressed, it may feel a bit sticky at times -- but you (probably) won't be pressing those buttons at all other than the trigger and directional pad. Also, most (or two) of the shooting games out now use the B button to cycle backwards in menu screens. So to be more precise, the main buttons you'll be using are B, Trigger (which is the A button), and the Start button. They're all situated on the left side of the barrel which the is the most convenient place.Note that there's an EXTRA B button below the handle which is what is mainly advertised about the gun.The right side of the light gun has the X and Y buttons, which you'll never use.

HANDLING
It's not as romantic or glorious as one may think to constantly slam the B button below the handle. In fact, it get's very awkward and tiresome the xth time you do it.Realistically, anyone shooting/reloading piles of 9mm clips (at a rate of 1 clip per 3 seconds) would be fatigued, but shouldn't this be minimized with a light gun?

Well, it has...If you're willing. The B button on the left side of the barrel is extra wide to hold your left thumb (assuming you are holding the gun with your right hand and using your left hand to support the barrel - your thumb comfortably rests upon the B button). This way of firing and reloading shows less bravado, but it's the quickest and most painless way to operate the light gun.Don't be fooled, it sounds great to reload like you've just released an empty clip and about to slam a fresh one in...But it gets old real fast. You'll have to hold the gun with one hand and keep your left hand under the handle (where the B button is) the whole time you play.Which is how a real pistol would be held, but if you don't frequently use a firearm like this (i.e. actual training and experience) then well...You'll eventually opt for the less flashy way of handling the thing -- and it really is more efficient in terms of speed and stamina on your arm.But rest assured!Regardless of whichever way you operate the gun, once you grow comfortable with your style of handling -- it'll be second nature.

Overall, the gun is extremely light and seems hollow even.I wouldn't be putting it at the bottom of your games and other accessories as it might break.I recommend wrapping the cord up as you play, because you don't want excess wire getting in your way as it is quite long. Also, the trigger (for new light guns, not used) is a bit stiff and requires some "breaking in".When I first got it, the trigger demanded more pressing force from my index finger than most other light guns. After the first few levels, my hand and arm were tired.Thankfully, using the light gun constantly loosens the trigger. It's now at a perfect firmness without being too rigid to induce fatigue in your fingers. Also, if you're not used to firing light guns for a good fifteen minutes or so, you'll get used to it.

4-0 out of 5 stars Great light gun for the price
This light gun is a good bargain. Also, it looks pretty cool too.The gun is mostly black, with the buttons, trigger, and trimming in the XBOX green colors. The gun works great for House of the Dead, and Starsky and Hutch (haven't tried it for Silent Scope Yet).I'm not sure if this works on a rear-projection TV or a High Definition TV, but most CRT screens that aren't HD, will probably do great with this gun.

Positives

? Light weight
? overall appearance of the gun is good.
? Reload button is on the butt of the handle, so reloading makes you feel like you're putting a clip in the gun.
? Gun features a D=pad on the back(where the hammer would be), select, start, X, Y, A, & B buttons.
? Gun features 3 different modes, including auto reload.
? Gun has a the standard break-away cord, like your standard issued XBOX controller.Benefits of this:When your buddy walks in front of the TV and trips up on your cord, the cable will detatch and NOT yank your console to the ground and/or yank the gun out of your hand, smashing it on the floor.
? The cable is also a good length, and since it is a breakaway cord, it is probably compatible with the controller extension cables... However, I'm not sure how effective this gun will be, sitting across the room.

NEGATIVES

? Might be too light.I'm afraid to drop it, because it feels like it is very fragile.
? Force Feedback is a little weak, and doesn't add much to the experience, but it is there, which is better than nothing at all.
Overall, a good gun for the price. If you know where to look, you can get one brand new for a good price.:)I got mine for $12.95 + shipping.Happy Hunting!

5-0 out of 5 stars A great light gun for XBOX!
I really wanted a light gun game for XBOX.I searched and looked at a ton of light guns including the mad catz. Most people said that they were unresponsive and didn't work. Then I saw this gun...it looked cool and sounded like it was good, so I got it.I'm glad I got this gun!It works perfectly on XBOX, with B button on the bottom and side, a control pad on the back, and Start, back, X, and Y on it.It responds well and is durable. The only problem that I have had, and it has only happend once, is that if you play for a very long period of time, the trigger will just stop working, you'll press it and it doesn't register with the game.Like I said, this only has happened once, and I was playing for a long time.If you want an XBOX light gungame (right now only House of the Dead 3, and I'm pretty sure Virtua Cop 3 soon)and you need a gun to go with it, then I would reccomend this one! ... 5-0 out of 5 stars A gamer's must
I used the non-electronic Game-dr. for a year and had to buy the electronic one. If your a gamer and want to resurface your old scatched cds I highly recommend it. Most of the pople who gave this bad reviews probably resurfaced it too much or didnt buy a new resurfacing disk. All my games and Cds that didnt work work excellent now.

5-0 out of 5 stars The Real Deal
I did a lot of research on this product before deciding to purchase it, but with all the negative reviews posted i was real hesitant.I finally decided to throw caution to the wind and buy it.I needed something to repair my X-Box games that were deeply scratched and would not even boot up.After getting the game doctor i choose a game that i did not cared about loseing.I followed the directions to the letter and put my game in the system and turned it on, and just like magic it booted flawlessly!!I would recomend this product to any one with the same delema.

1-0 out of 5 stars Lame Doctor This Sucks
I agree with all the other bad reviews. Spent the money on the doctor and it made 2 discs worse. Followed instructions to the letter. I'm gonna sue for malpractice!!

1-0 out of 5 stars BOO.
this thing sucks.I BROUGHT it and it ieft marks.I tryed again.DO notbuy this.they waste yourgood money.hear me this .they sould sue the creator of this for spending your money.

1-0 out of 5 stars it works occasionally
i bought this to repair a game i got for free that was scratched up to hell (didn't go through the top though).i used it on both discs (it was Red Alert: Retaliation for the psx) and then it worked pretty good, the only thing is that i still don't get music.i then went on repairing my brothers pc games, after the second one the strip that grinds down the protective layer was ruined and started scratching the disc. The free replacement wheel had its strip fallen off due to using crappy glue.Don't buy this, it'll eat up way to much money and can destroy your game CD! ... If you are like me, you are a tech junkie who wants premium options at a great value.Recently, prices on the Zodiac 2 have made a nosedive and thus became, pricewise, a much better option than the Palmone Tungsten line.

But price is not the only thing that led me to purchase a Zodiac. Here were my criteria: I knew I wanted a palm, because the medical community is still heavily palm-based.Plus, palms are very fast and tend to have a long battery life.I was unsatisfied with the options I had before me in the PalmOne line. The T3 looked good, but its availability was low. The T5 was ok, but clearly not good enough for the price (for which I would have expected built-in wi-fi, maybe a keyboard, maybe the cool slider from the T3 - and altogether, more options than simply 256megs internal memory).

Then I heard about the Zod - motorola processor, great battery life, analog joystick, several options to customize, strong multimedia capabilities and nice soundcard, 2 SD slots, built-in bluetooth, 128 megs internal RAM --> altogether it looked like a great option.

And I am very happy with my Zodiac 2.It is a great little machine which allows me to play emulated games when I'm not busy studying. It has a really nice interface, and it's way cooler-looking than the palm-based PDAs I see around the hospital. The landscape format is fine, and in no way inconvenient, as I supposed it might be. In fact, I think I prefer using landscape to portrait.

As far as tech support goes - I haven't had to contact it, and anytime I have any problems I go to tapland.com, as well as other websites which have a large community of zodiac users. I'm looking forward to Tapwave releasing a new zodiac in the future, though I know that this one will last me a good long time.

5-0 out of 5 stars Brand new to the PDA world, but catching up fast!
The Tapwave Zodiac 2 is extremely user-friendly.I have no background in computers and gadgets but I wanted something that was simple and unintimidating.I did the research and found the Zodiac had the memory I would require to download some of the reference books I would need for school. It has tons of other applications that have made me a handheld fan.It is a rugged little device and the ample screen saves your eyes from straining.I'm looking forward to the publication of the user's guide so I can explore all it'spossibilities.

2-0 out of 5 stars Look elsewhere...
I've owned a Tapwave Zodiac 2 for over a year now, and I'm having it replaced via RMA for the 2nd time.Which means I'll be on my 3rd unit.

My first one wouldn't sync with the PalmDesktop. My second one developed a screen calibration problem just as the warranty ran out... thus the reason for the return.

The idea for the Zodiac is a good one, but poorly implemented with low quality (IMO) parts. At any time you can look up Zodiac 'fan' sites and search the forums to see the complaints. One I visit regularly had a poll asking if the Zodiac you owned was still fuctioning.25% answered no.That's a LOT of Zods not working. And many, many people have had theirs replaced at least once.

Tapwave has also not held with their promise for a multitude of game titles. And many applications must be 'optimized' for the Zod's special Palm version.Plenty of applications just 'lock' it up.

Among the most common issues are analog thumbstick calibrationand screen calibration problems. It's picky about what memory cards it will use, producing bad results with those not on it's user friendly list.

Prices for the Z2 are dropping all over the net.I suspect that Tapwave isn't doing as well as they had hoped. And what happens if they go out of business.. There's no one to honor your warranty.

Also, their customer service it outsourced to India, which irks me on a whole other level.

My final suggestion would be to steer clear of the Zodiac and go for a PalmOne unit.

5-0 out of 5 stars Best PDA/PPC for the gaming needs!
Well.. I am a fan of Windows mobile 2003 and so, as well as knowing the large selection of games and programs for it.

This is my first palm device. I bought it for one reason.. the layout! I mean this is PERFECT for gaming on emulators and so, since you can get LJZ and play SNES, Sega, GB, NES for starters. The volume and stereo sound on this thing is quite loud too. All though not perfect on battery life, it can last you a full day if your not too heavy on it.

Palm desktop for the pc is very easy to install and use. However its much better when you install Filez to your Zod and browse it through there and use a SD card to install to, works faster.

This device isnt the fastest, only 200 mhz, but its enough to do what you want.

With the bluetooth, I hook it up to my T-Mobile 3650 Nokia and get online with it.

Also recently tapwave.com just added support for the 256+wifi SD cards! So you can use wifi on your zodiac too now! Which is very fast and good now with this beta driver.

For those who are looking at the PSP from sony.. dont know what to tell you.. just know that this thing is worth it for what I do, which is internet, vnc, emulators, divx, mp3, sms, and email.

But still, very worth getting and very good to have since it works for all you need.. and Im happy cause online banking works with it! Heh..

4-0 out of 5 stars Awesome PDA - but lacking "console-quality" games.
When a PDA has an awesome screen, a sleek, high-tech look, lots of internal memory, a great OS interface and the ability to run thousands of Palm games and applications, it makes me feel VERY stingy to deduct even one star from its rating. But I have no choice, because of the maddening lack of titles that come anywhere close to taking full advantage of this very impressive device and fulfilling Tapwave's promise of "console-quality 3D gaming". Palm apps are great, but even the best are not what I'd consider to be "console-quality", even by the standards of consoles that are now several years old. While a few of the current Zodiac-specific titles may arguably approach this level, there are very few of them on the market - and the snail pace of Zodiac-specific releases in 04 doesn't give me much optimism that very many more will hit the market this year.

Don't misunderstand me - If you're a gamer and are looking for a Palm-OS PDA, there is none better for you.But if you're considering this device as an alternative to the PSP or Nintendo DS, or even the GBA, you may be disappointed.I bought this as a PDA, expecting that I'd be able to pick up at least five or six good console-quality games for it.I feel like I got and incredible PDA at a bargain price - but without the games I'd hoped for.For me, it is a relatively minor disappointment with a truly unique and wonderful little device.

1-0 out of 5 stars biggest regret
I heard of the xbox way before it came out, my friend suggested that i should wait for a xbox instead of a ps2 because it was american made. So i waited and when i had enough money i brought a xbox, which cost 300 at that time.I was hoping for great game seclection.A few month later, there were tons and tons of alsome game on the ps2 and not the xbox, even so more for gamecube, so i thought to myself how can this be? If anyone is thinking about buying an xbox, here only one reason to really buy it, is if u like sport games and u have xbox live. Other than that buy a ps2 like i am going today. the good thing bout xbox is it really durable and doesn't break, and in all my 3 years experience it had ever got a disk error on the drive, sure their the bad disk thing, but all u have to do is clean it with alchohol and it work fine.I never really brought anygame for the xbox because most of them suck, one for example is full spectrum warrior(i am a huge military first person shooter fan out there!)and went i rented it i was so dissapointed because it was so boring and repeative.EVen gamecube had better game than xbox, as some of my friend knows i am a huge wrestle fan and when both raw came out on the xbox i was so dissapointed in it replay value and overall, even gamecube wrestling title was second to none.

i am very dissapointed with the quality of all xbox games, and yes even halo 2 suck! Im not saying that u shouldn't get a xbox, but if u do make sure u have a ps2 and gamecube first.
I think the only game that is good right now is espn nfl 2k5 with is totally the best so far.Who know maybe xbox will get better, but one thing is for sure, japanese console are always far superior.

so this is my biggest regret in buying a console, heck i rather have a ps1 game than xbox, that how bad it is.Throught experience i have witness that american games aren't good and still need ALOT of improvement! (alot)

Okay let me ask u guys a few thing, remember when their were game commerical like hot wheels and stuff on tv, they were both for ps2 and gc but not for xbox, those were the time that i thought to myself why did i buy an xbox

I hope this review help you, i know that xbox is newer but it is far less better in anyway beside the system itself

here is my breakdown of the xbox:
    system can not break
xbox controller in my opinion is better than ps2
xbox live is the same as ps2 live, i rather have ps2 online cuz i love socom
xbox has 4 port and ps2 only has 2, but i want 2 cuz most ps2 game are single player mission and that what i can only afford
    online
well if u get ps2 u can use a dial up instead of dsl or broadband for xbox!
ps2 is a whole lot better games and a whole lot more stuff to add on
here a plus for the xbox, u don't really need a memory card!
and u can play game on it for more than 12 hours and it wouldn't get hot
now if u buy a ps2 u get the smackdown series and gta series, not to mention kingdom heart, and metal gear solid and a whole bunch of top game on ps2 and ps1!

final comment: the bottom line is buy a ps2, u won't regret it, i garantee it, and second buy a gc after u brought a ps2, and only buy a xbox if u have broadband and your parent or if your a guardian that have money for xbox live, becuz it the best.
that it, and this review is from a 16 years old who have experience with the xbox for 3 years now

i hope this help all of u reading this and enjoy your break!

last but not least, the xbox is the worst console of any generation, that right even dreamcast is better.

now do u all know why, because it the first console that is american made, so there always go with japanese console

5-0 out of 5 stars X-box is a great system
First off, I have all three systems - PS2, Gamecube, and X-box. PS2 is a great system with plenty of games, online capability, and nice graphics. Gamecube is good if you have kids. The majority of the games are very simplistic and the graphics aren't that great. I have a few games on that system that I like, such as Animal Crossing. The X-box is the system that my husband and I use the most. I had to post a review after reading another review on here that made me laugh:

"Sure, sure the thing may never need a memory card, sure it has the best processing system and graphics except for the PC, but it lacks Gameplay and variety. There are not any good games being made for Xbox."

Obviously, this person hasn't been out much! X-box has everything that he claims it doesn't. Great gameplay, variety, and great games. My husband and I have different taste in games and we both have ones that we love on x-box.

It's true that a lot of the games are available for the PC too, but I would much rather have it on X-box for many reasons. 1. I have a huge tv hooked up to the X-box, it's much nicer than playing on a little computer screen! 2. I can invite friends over and play multiplayer games. 3. As great as computers are, games are getting so much more demanding on systems(such as graphics cards and memory) that not all games will work on all systems! I am guaranteed that the game will work on the X-box.

All in all, I would have to say that the X-box is my favorite system due to the fact that it has a huge variety of games and the graphics are great.

5-0 out of 5 stars The truth about the x box
I bought myself an x box a little while ago an must say I am very chuffed with it. It does everything i wanted it to do and tons more besides. A load of people seem to only notice its size and weight, but let me tell you now: IT REALLY DOESN'T MATTER. Put it this way, it's as fast as a pc (at the time), but a lot smaller. Besides who really cares about the weight anyway, I mean its not like you should take it for walks is it? Just plug it in and leave it where it is.
The graphics are simply put the BEST around, the DVD player actually works (unlike the ps2, believe me i got one of them aswell) and the sound is awesome. The controller is perfectly fine, if you dont like it get an s-controller. Simple.
The fact that you can rip cd's is a huge bonus. You can create playlists on it and believe me, it stores a lot of music. It is basically great for houseparties aswell as games. The games are good and getting better all the time as more and more are released. Finally, while the ps2 is also a great machine it has one huge problem that the x box doesn't have: it's short life span. The ps2 will only last for about 2-4 years. Firstly it stops playing ps1 and the blue/purple discs, then a short time later it packs up alltogether. Not very good, is it sony?!
oh, and my x box has NEVER crashed.
if you are young: buy a gamecube.
if you are a a bit more mature and want the best system: buy the X-BOX
just don't buy a PS2, at least wait for PS3.

4-0 out of 5 stars Excellent System, but not without its flaws.
The Xbox is an excellent system for any gamer. The graphics are amazing, the sounds is killer and {most} of the games are excellent. Unfortunately, just like the PS2 and Gamecube, the Xbox is not without its faults.
    Good:

    Amazingly detailed graphics
    Capable of incredible sound effects
Can play CDs and DVDs (not without a remote though)
    4 Controller Ports
    Good variety of Games
Well Supported by 3rd party developers
Some excellent exclusive games (Halo, Project Gotham 2, Halo 2)
150 dollar price point is 30 dollars less than PS2 (but still 50 dollars more than Gamecube)
    Best Online Service (Xbox Live!)

    The Bad

System weighs a lot-don't expecting anything you can bring on vacation
System is ugly-basically a big, clunky box
Lack of RPGS (save Knights of the Old Republic)
Lack of quirky (strange Japanese/Anime/just plain weird) games such as Mister Mosquito and Animal Crossing.
Lack of "kiddie" games- Xbox is geared toward the 15+ crowd
EA Sports games are not online compatible (the PS2 versions are though)

Overall the Xbox is an excellent system choice for gamers who love action/shooter/online games. The Xbox excels in these areas;in fact it blows the competition out of the water. But, due to the lack of games in certain genres, I have to knock the score down a star. That being said, if you are looking for a graphics powerhouse that is home to the best online games (Mech Assault, Rainbow Six, Splinter Cell Pandora's Tommorow) and the best action games (Halo, Halo 2, Brute Force, Deus Ex 2), then you should purchase an Xbox as soon as possible.

4-0 out of 5 stars Great Graphics, but some problems
The Xbox is a great system. It pumps out top notch graphics and has some killer exclusives. Unfortunately, it is not perfect, just like the other 2 next gen systems out.
    Pros:

Amazing Graphics (The Xbox's graphics are much better than either Gamecubes' or Ps2's)
Built in 8 GB Hard Drive
    Best online service (Xbox Live)
Halo, Halo 2, Project Gotham Racing 2- some of the best games ever
    The Controller S is comfortable
    Good third party support

    Cons:

The system is massive and weighs around 10-12 pounds
Have to buy a remote for 30 dollars to play DVDs
Basically No Rpgs for the system (Except the excellent Star Wars: Knights of the old republic)
Not many niche games (quirky games a la Pa Rappaa or Mr Mosquito for PS2 are absent on the Xbox)

Overall, the XBox is a graphics and sound powerhouse that has a very bright future. Unfortuantely, its lack of RPGs and niche games force me to knock down the score a star. Still an excellent choice for any gamer ... Read more

5-0 out of 5 stars the s controller
the s controller is a auesome buy i have three and my big controller is horrible i let my dad use it and i always win but when he uses the s controller he wins .so if u want to buy a controller the s controller is the very one to buy and if u only have two or one buy two or three.

4-0 out of 5 stars Sleek
Although I don't own my own Xbox - I always play someone else's because I already own a PS2, I never-the-less feel obligated to add my thoughts on the matter. The new Xbox controller S is one sleek piece of equipment - FAR superior to that original monstrousity of a controller those idiots at Microsoft initially came up with (it was that super ugly, gigantic, and clunky original controller that turned me off from buying the Xbox when it came out). The new controller S is visually appealing to the eyes. Although the PS2 controller is still slightly more attractive, the controller S is an extremely close second. The controller s is smaller and handier than the original, has easier to use controls, and is VERY comfortable to grip. Just compare the different controllers of Xbox, PS2,and Gamecube by holding them in your hands, and fiddling around with the controls. You will see that the Xbox controller S has the nicest fit of them all on the palms of your hands (the Gamecube is the least comfortable). Ironically the controller S was originally designed for the Xbox release in Japan because the original controller was deemed too big for Japanese players. I really think those folks at Microsoft should plan things a little better before jumping in to the game....

3-0 out of 5 stars Not comfortable after playing Galaga for a while...
I didn't mind this controller at all in the beginning. But after playing Galaga for a while, the thumb gets quite tiring since we have to press the A button quickly for the entire game.I play the same game on GC, it's easier and I get higher scores.I wish there's even a smaller version of the Xbox controller that's designed with women and kids in mind.My conclusion -- do NOT play Galaga type games on Xbox, play it on GC or PS2 :)

    3-0 out of 5 stars 50/50
when i got my xbox i got 2 controllers as well and yesterday when i got my first multiplayer xbox game one of the controllers broke down.i dont know if it was infected or if it broke because of all the times i got pissed off at losing mlb slugfest and threw the controller really hard on the ground but if your gonna get this: dont throw the controoler and dont mix up the wires like the [idiot] that iam and since i live in the middle of nowhere (la paz, bolivia) and even if you do live in any other city in the world buy a back up controller. and if its my xobx i guess all throw my xbox to the ground as well.

Read more

1-0 out of 5 stars Very very Disappointing
On Xmas, my 2 brothers and I all got: Namco II: Ms Pac-Man with 5 TV Games
Since we didnt all want the same one, my mom exchanged the other two. I got this game. It is a stinker. All games are very boring, take no skill, sound is terrible. I love old games. I play original Nintendo all the time. If you want to get a good plug and play game, Go with the Namco II. I am selling this one because it is very boring. My stars above are not exaggerated. I played it for less than 5 minutes (enough time to test all games) and then didnt play it again. The Namco II has much funner games.

5-0 out of 5 stars Young Again
I remember playing these games when I was younger...now MY kids are playing them instead of the Playstation and Xbox...they don't have the graphics like the new-age games do...but still it is fun. It's entertainment!

4-0 out of 5 stars this sucks!
all the games are not good, cheap, and boring. don't get this prouduct.

5-0 out of 5 stars Woah, the other reviewers are nuts!
Dont be fooled by those guys makin that noise... This thing rocks!Holy COW!If you grew up in the 80's - eating cereal on the living room floor with ur legs in a sleeping bag watching superfriends and peewee's playhouse, or maybe spiderman and his amazing friends, or perhaps the arcade block with q-bert and donkey kong... Then this is for you!Relive those days with these awesome games!!I played pitfall for three hours yesterday... I have always wondered since I was lil one whether u can beat that game or not and I gave it my all yesterday... After three hours I was still rackin up points with no end in sight... but there is no frustration, just the desire to go play it some more!Get thsi product, and also shrek 2 and spiderman 2 for xbox or ps2 and you will have everything you need!It seems only activision, take-two, and majestic have been doign anythign right in the video game industry lately!

    PAYCE!!

4-0 out of 5 stars Decent games, and reasonably comfortable
After playin', enjoyin', and just plain geekin' out to the other TV Games systems-- well, except for that SpongeBob SquarePants dealie; I gotta maintain SOME semblance of dignity, after all-- I decided to give the ActiVision version a go. And after trying its ten offerings out, I found the whole thing a mixed bag. A few of the games were pretty fun and challenging, while others were a bit repetitive and/or nigh impossible to beat no matter how hard I tried.

While the headlining title, "Pitfall!", was kinda frustrating at first-- especially when I was tryin' to get across the gator-infested ponds-- I eventually got the hang of the controls and timing for the most part. Well, except for leaping over the coiled cobras and giant scorpions just right so's I didn't kill myself. The only other problem I had with this title was that the frames that I was running and leaping through appeared to be in a loop-- I managed to survive the first half-dozen frames, and the next half-dozen looked exactly like the ones I just completed! Unfortunately, I never really played this title much when I was but a wee `Norch, so I have no idea whether or not this was how the original "Pitfall!" was set up. If anyone can give me the 411 on this bit o' weirdness, head on over to my About Me area and drop me an e-mail, willya? Thanks...

While the ActiVision console includes four sports games (Grand Prix, Tennis, Boxing, and Ice Hockey), the only one I really enjoyed playing was Ice Hockey. The Tennis game is so hard for me to score against the computer, I usually get blanked in several straight sets-- which isn't the kinda "love" I'm lookin' for, if ya catch my drift. On the upside, the computer and I can get that ball ricocheting back and forth for up to two minutes on end before the inevitable happens. The Grand Prix game pits me against a bunch of other cars on a straight-line track, with the object of setting the best time whilst trying to avoid potholes and bumping into other cars, both of which can slow me down. Only problem is, this system doesn't save any of the scores and times, so I don't have any records to beat. The boxing game is pretty good if you can keep pushing the button at a maddening pace to try and keep up with your opponent's number of landed hits. I played this particular game for a minute before quitting from fatigue on my fire-button thumb.

Probably the simplest game is "Freeway", a low-budget "Frogger" wanna-be. The object of the game is to get as many chickens across a ten-lane highway as you can in 2 minutes and 16 seconds (why in two minutes and 16 seconds, you ask? Hey, beats me-- I didn't come up with the freakin' game). Like "Frogger", there's quite a bit of traffic one has to dodge to get to the other side. Unlike "Frogger", however, the chicken can only move up and down, not side to side. Also unlike "Frogger", when a chicken is struck by a car, it's not squished flat, but is pushed back one lane (on one setting), or right back to the side of the highway where it started (more difficult setting). Needless to say, this one gets kinda monotonous after a while, especially with the traffic patterns being so predictable.

"Atlantis" is a fairly fun "Missile Command" ape, although you've got to get used to which directional controls activate the three gun batteries you're using to fire on the enemy ships. Speakin' of enemy ships, one of `em looks kinda like the Enterprise from "Star Trek" and a couple others look a little like X-Wing Fighters and Imperial Star Destroyers from the classic "Star Wars" flicks. I usually get utterly trashed by the enemy in this game, but I manage to have some fun before my inevitable demise...

My fave adventure game in this system, though, is "River Raid". With a supersonic jet, the player flies over a river, destroying enemy ships, choppers, bridges and fighter jets whilst trying not to hit the refueling markers the player needs to keep his gas tank full. The player can move the plane left and right, and use the forward/back control to speed up or slow down. While I've gotten a bit more used to the left-and-right dealie, I'm still tryin' to get the hang of the speed-up/slow-down angle. Well, actually, I just need to work on the slow-down angle; it's the speed-up thing I do TOO much work on! It's true what they taught ya in Driver's Ed., kids: speed kills! In the time I've been playin' this bad-boy, I've probably crashed the equivalent of the entire U.S. Air Force twice over! But I'm not gonna let that deter me from my mission, oh no...

But even though I found only half of the games here really fun, I hafta say that the ActiVision control joystick is the most comfortable to use out of all the TV Games systems that have come out so far. Unlike either the Atari or Namco renditions, the corners of the ActiVision stick's base are nice and rounded, which won't dig into and cause too much discomfort to my control-holding hand. The ActiVision joystick's smooth response is also a big improvement over Atari's offering, which ya really hafta lean into to get the subject to move where you want it to go. As for the extra Fire button on the top of the joystick: I didn't like it quite as much as I did the sideline Fire button. Were the stick a little longer and the Fire button more off to the side of the control than right on top, however...

    `Late ... Read more
