Game Boy Color
I don't see all the hype in this portable gaming device. The games graphics are so terrible (So is Game Boy Advance). The only good Nintendo graphics is the brand new Nintendo DS which has Nintendo 64 graphics which isn't too shabby. But I really hate the Pocket and Color because it's a waste of money. Why would you get something in black and white with terrible graphics and then get one with only some colors (It's not that good) and plus the addition of bad graphics...now that's what I call a bad deal.

this isnt bad i have it and it works great i think this is better then alot of older systems like game boy or super nt but still its a good system.

Ok..... but not as good as ngpc.
I got this system last year and it worked fine until a month ago. then the sound blew out. Also the graphics on many games suck. Still it's a hardysystem and I would recommend buying it if you like a classic look in color, but if you want something with good graphics, nice small comfortable size, and a motherload of great games, buy an NGCP(neogeo pocket color).

Great system!
This system is my favorite. Although I already have a nintendo ds I still use the game boy color systems. It dosen't really matter which system you get just as long as YOU like it. Sometimes if you try and keep up with the trends it can get really expensive example: nintendo ds=$150 games for the nintendo ds=$40-$50 and game boy color new=$30 used=$10 games=$10-20. Choose wisely!

Buy a gameboy color
The game boy color is one of the best gameboys made. I never waste my time sitting playing gameboy in the house. I have gamecube and PS2. I play my gameboy color on long subway rides and in waiting rooms. Buy a gameboy color!

[...] i said I would like to get another one. Well I got it. It is Kiwi Green and it works great. I still Rate this iten 5 stars because it is one of my favorites ( I got an SP so that is my new favorite but I still love my blue and green Gameboy Colors).

Bad graphics

We have a Gameboy for each member of our family
I remember the good ol days when my husband and I shared a game boy (not color or advance) we thought it was the best in the world. Enter 3 boys and each wants the bigger toy. I am very pleased with This game boy color (Atomic Purple) Looks cool for the pre-teen set and for the younger crowd it could not get better. We actually Bought this for our oldest son for Christmas a few years ago only the game boy and bought each Accessory item seperate. I know I paid a lot more than it is listed here after all was said and done plus we went to at least 6 stores to find all the different gizmos and gadgets that they offer here in one nice neat package (do yourself a favor Buy Now! It is not worth the shopping grief...)The Game Boy has now been passed to the youngest boy in our family. He is only 4 Big Brother saw an chance to get the Pokemon Special Edition and decided his little brother needed a game boy. I think it is a life saver on long drives and when I want to shop and they are bored :)If I could just get them to stop fighting over one game...oh well nothing is perfect. I highly recommend, trust me the ultimate test is that it has survived years with 2 of my boys with out a scratch...no break downs virtually plays by itself. It cannot be destroyed!

WHERE IS IT?
I ordered this item on dec 10th, shipping tells me it was shipped on dec 13. Today is the 20th and still there is no tracking number next to item. And has not been delivered to my home. However, items that I ordered that were shipped on the 18th have been delivered to my home. WHERE IS IT???

Not cheap, but FUN!

Great Portable Console!
I have this Pokemon Limited Edition Game Boy Color. It works great! This console has a huge variety of games like Mario, Donkey Kong, Zelda, and more! It's like a portable NES! Has good graphics and good sound (for it's time). I HIGHLY recommend you get Pokemon Red or Blue along with it. It'll entertain you for hours!

Pokemon Yellow Bundle rocks
This is my most favorite Game Boy Colar in the world and it matches my most number 1 favorite game in the world and that is Pokemon Yellow. They should have made a Bundle pack Game Boy Colar for Pokemon Red and Blue also because I think they are also the best number 1 games but I like Pokemon Yellow better.

Way Too Overrated
Gameboy Color is minor improvement from it's 1996 cousion the gameboy pocket.The system may be in color but as the other reviewers said the colors are some what faded and are pale-like.
The batteries last longer than the Gameboy pocket's which is a good thing they last about 10 hours.There are exclsive games for that cannot be played on the black and white gameboys so there's another plus.
The screen isn't as dark as people seem to say I myself don't have any problem seeing it but thats probley because I'm only 12 also the gameboy advance (original) is wayyy darker than this.
Sorry if this review wasn't that helpful but in the end I'd get ether a gameboy pocket or a Gameboy advance Sp.

The best thing for a long car trip
I have 2 boys both under the age of 10, they are full of energy and are always fighting or teasing or hitting (or biting....you get the point) car rides were horrible for my husband and I. We hated going on long trips because one of us always got stuck breaking the fight up until I decided we needed something to distract them, entertain them without distracting the driver and maybe educate them well 2 out of 3 is not bad. I cannot believe how quiet the two of them are now. Hardly anymore fighting (except who gets what game) they play quietly and almost always keeps them busy until we get to our destination. I was afraid to get them for a few reasons mainly because they have an x-box, a playstation, a computer and this tiny little box that cost so much is going to be fun? they LOVE it! the viewing area is not too little. The games have advanced since pac man days (I am aging myself) and The best part about amazon is buying them for more than half off when you buy a used model. I am pleased that I could buy the game controller at market place and find at least 3 games without even coming close to the price of a new one.
I think this is great fun, I recommend it for any parent that wants to get some alone time, or need to have the children out from under....I also recommend buying from a Market Place seller they have some good prices just check out their reviews and make sure they are honest and prompt.

The Gameboy Color is the King of the hand held systems.
If you want a extremely good handheld system buy this. It has good graphics and pretty decent sound as well. I got a gameboy pocket at a yard sale but there was no game for it so I begged my friend to give me his yellow version. Eventually he did but I got tired of constantly having to fix the contrast so I got a Gameboy Color I was amazed that this little system was as fun as it was. After I beat yellow version I got a game called Warlocked but it stinked so I sold it and bought Tarzan that game was okay and after a while I traded my gold version for Looney Tunes which was a fun game. On my birthday I got POKe'MON Crystal version which I love. I also got The Legend of Zelda Oracle of Seasons and Spiderman 2. I highly recomend Oracle of Seasons. Right now I have Cyrstal, Zelda, Spiderman 2, Red Version, and Yellow Version. I want a GBA but I don't know why they replaced the awesome GBC. I hope the GB, SGB, GBP, GBC, and the GBA live on forever. I love my Gameboy and I think I'm gonna go play it now but first I must say buy this system.

GBCool!!!!!!!
This console has occupied many of my car rides and never gets boring, even though I got it last year. I like the variety of colors and the good graphics. It has the biggest video game library I have ever seen. I currently have 25 games and they are still making new ones that I want. Game Boy Color ROCKS! You should get it.

A Cool Gameboy Color

Good, not for low battery power
I have a Game Boy Color and bought this a few months ago. It's great when my batteries are new. But when batteries are almost out of energy, don't use this. I put it in the middle of a game. Batteries not so good. The power indicator light was alot dimmer. I take it out, it's back to normal. Other than a glare also, it's great since the Game Boy doesn't have a backlit screen like the Sega Game Gear. Highly recommended.

Best light out there
Don't be fooled by the cobra light and bone light, or other cheap lights. this is the one that should be bought. it stays in the gameboy like it's suppose to. It's also cheap, is bright, lightweight and small, so it's good for any game boy. It works on the game boy pocket, color, and advance, so there is no need to buy more lights. even better, there is a huge selection of colors for it. buy it the light has weak points, like that very annoying glare it gives off. it's also kind of stiff when you flex it. but it's a very good buy, it's also good if you want life for your gba, intead of buying an SP, you coukld one of these instead.(Forget about the SP's stupid clamshell design! If you don't care about scratching the screen)

This looks like a good idea for playing int he dark. for the next revewer i have a question: does this work on game boy advance

In the way.
I bought a worm light for my gameboy color and though it is extremely helpfull for use in the dark it can also be in the way a little bit. For example it has a tendancy to shine alot of light on 1 area and not another. Also mine, on numerous occations, got loose and fell out of my gameboy, wich as you know in the dark can be incredibly annoying and can cause you to lose the game. Also a small amount of times it got in my way so that i could not see the screen.

I'm not sure how this light is supposed to help.
I bought this light in hopes that it would make my gameboy color easier to play in dim light.No such luck.I really don't understand how this light is supposed to do anything.It just adds a nice glare to the screen.The only way a light would work is if the system had a back light, or if there was an accessory to do this (highly unlikely).I would just save your money and stand near a very bright light when playing your gameboy. ... This Is a Great Game Boy!
I have had this system for at least 5 years and is is still running like NEW! I have dropped is tons of tines on the floor(not to mention the pavement)And not even a rattle from inside.I suggest several games (some of my favorites)Daffy Duck Fowl Play,Super Marieo Bros. How good is the GameBoy Color System?
Well, I bought my GameBoy System a few months before the GameBoy Advance was released :( (bummer, i should have waited)

The GameBoy Color system is great for long road trips or just plain at-home fun. Here are my Pros and Cons about it:

Pros: Portable, and has a wide variety of games, inlcuding previous GameBoy (original) games. It features ok sound and SNES-like graphics. Gameplay is in color unlike the original [GameBoy]. Battery life is about 10 hours.

Cons: Screen is hard to see without a light directly behind you while playing (u should get a wormlight). Interface (GameBoy Logo) is quite annoying after a while.

Overall, if you're interested in hand-held portable fun, then you should buy it. I have a TEAL-colored GBC (GameBoy Color).

Great handheld system, great price
I got my Game Boy Color for Chrsitmas last eyar along with several games. This is by afr the best handheld system availible price-wise. The system is...cheaper than teh new Game BOy Advance if you buy it used and the games are ...cheaper as well. The graphics may not be top notch, but don't let that fool you. There many great games including the traditional Nintendo games like Donkey Kong Country and Mario games, sports games liek Madden, All-Star Baseball and Ronaldo Soccer. There is a huge library of games with hudnreds availible. ...This is way better than the bulky Game Boy and much lighter and smaller. THe only problem with it is the buttons are to close and too small which causes a problem for people with big hands like me.

A durable easy-to-use muti-purpose bag and cute too

Don't let the Pokemon on the cover make you not want to buy this item. Besides that it's great. SO COOL!!!!
I don't actually have one but I am borrowing one from my friend. It is really cool because you can take pictures in all kinds of ways you can take a picture of yourself and three games will have that face.The games aren't as good as regular gameboy games are but are really cool. You can frame pictures, make them silly, draw on them, write a short comment on it and stuff. This is really cool and would be good to buy. You can take pictures in a weird way like making really tall and thin. I once made a picture that It was scene of the crime type thing and it really looked cool.

Saving Money
Digital cameras cost hundreds of dollars not this one ... I mean it might not have the best graphics and its not in color, but take my word for it you'll spend hours creatingextreamly funny pictures you can evean print them out with the printer but thats another story if you always wanted a digital camera I strongly sugest this one............

this pack is not exceptable
This pack was not at all what I wanted.Although it has a battery pack there is hardly any space for games and the fanny pack itself is pretty ugly.My kids felt embarressed to walk around with it, as they are very into fashion and the fanny pack was not at all fashionable.As a warning:If you have 12+ year old kids do not get this for them, they'll hate you.

Seems cool!!
I have a friend whose parents bought it for Christmas and they are the kind of parents that buy stuff on the internet only if they are really good. Also, even if it is sort of bad quality, it is cheap and IS a DIGITAL Camera and you can edit. Seems cool to bye and I want too.

COOL
I think this camera is really good and the pics arent blurry if you wait to get focus with it. I also bought the printer wich made a really good match. The pics if you print they are stickers. With the camera you can play 3 mini games and add objects to your pictures change the color scale add hot spots to the pics and made REAL ANIMATIONS this issomething noone mentions and i think its the coolest thing it has. You have to take some pictures of the same thing in different possitions and then you can make an animation. its not a really useful thing but its really entertaining. I bought it in yellow cuz my gameboy pocket was yellow but now i got a Teal gameboy color but still looks good. The only bad thing i could find in here is that pics loose the colors of print in the stickers with time but thats about the printer not the camera. I bought it when was alot more expensive and i still not regret is a really good add on to your game boy. Every game boy owner should own it.

This is Fantastic
I gave it 4 stars because it dosen't come with a printer. But I bought it seperatly. Alot of people complain about the pictures being blury and not clear, well what do you expect?! It's a gameboy or god sake, it was made for playing, not for taking pics! It's an 8-bit system so you can't expect from it to be marvelous! Good even though its not in color
This is probley my favirote of all the gameboy systems it survived falling out of my pocket onto contrete very,very hard with only 2 tiny little scrapes (But my favirote and first poekmon red version broke 4 good).It my not have color but its a good type of black and white u can c it very clearly plus it has a contrast ajuster no new gameboy's got that.I don't use mine as much but I don't want 2 damage it I need it in good shape.Its 100% more portable than the 1st gameboy u can fit it in any pocket!!!Get this before they're all gone 4 good

To heck with games- it's a neat little computer.
Frankly, I hate computer games, and I really hate these little hand held computers that kids seem to be glued to everywhere you go these days. Few things depress me more than seeing a kid sitting indoors (or outdoors, for that mattter) on a beautiful day, eyes fixed on one of these horrid little devices.

So why on earth, then, did I buy one?

Because once you get rid of those awful games, you've got a neat little computer there- and it's cheap, too. It's a digital camera, a programmable controller, and generally just a great platform for hacking. There are hundreds of web sites out there with information on hardware and software hacking these little beasts, and they can be had new and used dirt cheap.

So throw out those games, and replace them with a soldering iron and logic probe. And have fun.

Don't think i will ever order from this person again.
The service was fast but i didnt get the game tetris with my delivery. My main purpose for buying this game was the game tetris, so in all i was not pleased with what i got but i was pleased with the fast service.

This is a cool puzzle game!!!
This game is very cool! You have to fit the pieces together to make lines.I like part B because you have to destroy 25 lines and that is easy.But I can't beat part A.But it is still a really really CCCOOLL GAME!!!

Though I have a Sega Game Gear too, this is just an upgraded version of the original GB. But some favorites are GBC only. If not GBC only, if using original or pocket, the games will play B&W. Buy accessories for an even better experience! If willing to pay more get GBA. GBA SP is more expensive than GBA. If so, GBA is recommended.

I have had all the gameboy game consoles except sp and let me tell you, theyre not as great as everyone says.the games are horrible , like the graphics, and the sound is ridiculous. If youre smart youd do what I did and buy a Sega Gamegear, theyre awesome!!!

I think the gameboy is color is good!!! ithas improved alot since gameboy. The only thing that is wrong with it is the game prices!!!! WOW $30 each. now a days u get playtation games cheaper then that!!!!!!! actually an old playstation 2 games for that much! But the game boy color is worth the price!! it comes with hours of enjoyment for the kids, even for adults!!!!

This is so great, I just love how much fun my kids have with it.I have even played it a few times and it is wonderful.It is a ton of fun for the whole family.

If you want to have fun on the go, you have to get Game Boy color!! I had the old gray one before this and this is a MAJOR improvement. The colors add alot of life to the games and its backwards compatible, so you can play all the old games. The size is really convienient and the dandelion color is the best.
