5-0 out of 5 stars AWESOME game! Futurama continues to rock on!
I absolutely LOVE this game! I've replayed it from beginning to end about 3 times now, and it' so much fun. This game has very high replayable value - you'll want to play it over and over again. The game isn't too easy or too hard - it's the perfect game to not get sick of playing.

The creators stayed true to the show's humor and characters as they wrote a clever script for the game and included a half hour of little movies and cut scenes to watch in between levels. I was so excited to see that Billy West (Fry), John DiMaggio (Bender), and Katey Sagal (Leela) provided thier voices for the game. I love how the characters talk as they're going through ther levels. Fry says funny lines like "Fry Day - get it?" and "Come and get some!" Some of Bender's lines are "You gotta feel sorry for that guy!" and "Look out mechanical liver!" Leela has some cute lines too such as "A full-day supply of vitamin hi-yah!" and "It's not polite to keep a lady waiting." Dr. Zoidberg (Billy West) also makes a cameo in the game - my 4th favorite character! Professor Farnsworth (Billy West) is also in the game, as well as Hermes and Scruffy but they don't have any speaking lines.

I absolutely love the detail of all the levels. The game starts out inside Planet Express and as Fry you can roam through the ship's hangar, conference room, lounge, etc. Roaming PE gives you a really good idea of how the inside of the building is set up. It wasn't really until after I played the game that I paid attention to the backgrounds more in the show as I watched them. The colors in this game are vibrant and gorgeous and I LOVE how the game is like playing a live animation cel - the characters move smoothly through the game and it looks just like them!

If you're a fan of "Futurama" you won't be disappointed. You must buy this game - it's awesome! ***** 5 Stars all the way! :)

5-0 out of 5 stars It's Futurama The Game Man!!!!
Wow, this is a great gaame for ps2 based on the hit series
by Matt Groening. The game has all the voice actors in the game, and an original story to boot. There's over thrity minutes of
cinematics, the action is top notch and the laughs are over the top.

Futurama the game reunites the casts from this hit series, Billy West, Katey Sagal , John Di Maggio as Fry, Leela and Bender as they try to stop their evil mom who has bought out Planet Express and plans to rule the universe. She enslaves humanity and makes the earth into a moving killer robot reminiscent of Unicron from Transformers!! The graphics are really awesome, you also play through each characters collecting different items and foiling moms plan. All I can say is get the game if your a Futurama fan, you wont regret it.

3-0 out of 5 stars A Must Have for Futurama Fans Who are also Gamers
I was very hesitant to check out this game when I had heard it come out... And I am a DIE HARD Futurama fan. It's almost a sort of rite of passage that in order to become a TRUE Futurama fan, you need to play this game (not necessarily finish it, but play a good deal of it)...

The storyline seems like it was a rejected episode idea- but apparently an idea good enough to make into a video game.
The gameplay is a LOT of fun- rather simple moves in such vast, demanding environments. The characters each have their particular gameplay so that once a level/character gets rather tedious to play, you either end up doing something completely different with the character (i.e. with Fry, instead of running around shooting at people, you hop into a chicken walker and rely on blasting all these robots to bits) end up finishing in time to play a new character with his/her own different moves/motives.
And moreover, It stinks to have to collect items besides "health items" along the way (i.e. Bender collects those jewels from the episode, "A Cyclops Built For Two"), but it's worth it to get the special stuff in the end.
Oh! And the environments contain little gags and quirks from the show, much to the delight of this veteran Futurama fan.

I doubt that anyone who wasn't a Futurama fan would truly enjoy this game, but it's an upbeat, light-hearted game. It's easy to get the hang of, but still takes a long time to play, even if you're a rather skilled gamer (let's just say it's not so easy to stay alive from time to time...). I wholeheartedly recommend this game for all Futurama fans and maybe to the gamers who also enjoy the Simpsons and sci-fi [spoofs].

5-0 out of 5 stars Great
I see a lot of bad reviews for this game right now but I think that Futurama fans should go and get this game. Especially now that it's only 20 dollars. I beat the game in like a year because I stopped playing at one point then played again. Don't listen to the bad reviews this game is great. Some levels are really hard but you can always use cheat codes. You play as fry, leela, bender, and dr.zoidberg. I also have to say that the game is like crash bandicoot so if you like those kind of games then you most likly will like this game. The cutscenes are also very funny. The problem with the game is that you have to collect all the nibblers in a level to unlock stuff and to unlock cutscenes which sucks because it's sometimes hard to find them all and I would like to unlock the scenes after I win the level not after I win the level and collect all the nibblers. Also the camera is also very bad because it doesn't always follow you which may cause you to die. Anyways if you like Futurama go get this game!

5-0 out of 5 stars If you like "Futurama&am p;quot;. ...
Dear shoppers at target.com, If like or even love Matt Groening's creation of the TV show, Futurama, then you will love this product. I ordered this product about May 12, 2004, and I got it May 15, 2004. Just to let you know, if you get frustrated real, and I mean real easy, consider rethinking. This game is fun, but it gets real hard. The music in the back round gets annoying if you are mad at the level. And DON'T EVEN TRY TO USE CHEAT CODES!!! You have to hold down the L1 and L2( for playstaion 2 only) until the screen flashes, and it takes a long time for it to kick in. I haven't tried because I've sat thier for a long time just holding and waiting for the screen to flash. Over all, this game is very fun and the things the characters say is pretty funny. Play as Fry, Bender, Leela, And Dr. Zoidberg as you save Planet Express from the evil Mom and her kill bots. See, Pro. F. sold the company to Mom's company, and that gave Mom power over 50% of Earth. If you like Futurama.........BUY THIS PRODUCT!!! ... Read more

3-0 out of 5 stars pretty good
I just played it and it's pretty good. the colores are great and it's a pretty cute game although I hear the old one is better. I haven't played it so I don't know much to say but it's pretty good. It's what comes to you. You might find it better than the classic for SNES.

1-0 out of 5 stars NOT nearly as good as the SNES one!
I must say it is not nearly as good as the snes one, because all the extra features they add to the game do not enhance the game at all, they actually made the game worse. This game is mainly testing the gamer's aiming ability, of course there are alittle thinking such as how to make alot of bubbles fall at once. With this in mind, why did they make the colors so crazy bright and whats with all the fireworks and bubbles poping graphics? A game like this, you would want to make the game environment color soft as well as minimal distractions, so gamers can actually focus and see whats on the screen! Basically, I keep asking "How can I set the colors not so bright, so I can or want to focus on the screen?", "Can I disable the popping graphics as well as the fireworks,etc...? They annoy me and I can't see the bubbles!", "Why are all the character's graphic and storyline graphics so nasty? These are areas that actually should have all the cool graphics, because they do not distract the gameplay of the game! A baby could have drawn those pictures!". Well I returned this game...

4-0 out of 5 stars Perfect price, fun game!
This is a nice, colorful update on the original classic puzzler.Although I admit that it wouldn't really be worth it when the game was new and more expensive, it's definately good now that its way cheaper.Gotta check out the new one, also, I haven't played it yet, but if it's an improvement on this already fun game, it'll be great!

1-0 out of 5 stars this game is great if its cheaper
this game is like any other bust a move games and i believe that this item should me only 20 bucks. if this cost any more then that i recommend u shouldnt buy it. all the moves tricks colors are all the same to me. i personally give this a 5 STAR rating but looking at the price... well... u know...

4-0 out of 5 stars SUPER BUST A MOVE 2
Althought the title might not reflect it, this indeed is the second version of this popular game for PS2. The basics are still here, with some neat changes and additions. But to continue the classic Bust-a-move fun this would be a great game to get! ... Read more

5-0 out of 5 stars Great game!
This is a great game! It has a great storyline, and excellent graphics! I'm not really sure how many players there can be, but that doesn't matter because my brother and I always save each of our games on separate files. I know that's not the same thing as playing at the same time, but I would rather play alone than have a split screen. I hope this review was helpful!

2-0 out of 5 stars Only one player at a time!
This game does not support multi-player as suggested in the product description.Very disappointing as we have three children who would like to play the game together. The graphics are good and the story line is good, but if your sole intent is to purchase for more than one player, you will be very disappointed.Tech Support for Konami for PS2 is non-existent, so don't try to look for answers there. It's too bad we can't get our money back.Don't waste your money on this product. ... 3-0 out of 5 stars PS2 is still great!! but this could have been better !!
I kinda!!!!!! liked it at first then more than 2 stages into this game,i started to get fed up of the repeatitive meaningless gore , bad camera angles and horrible gameplay if you like it you don't know what a good game is!!!!!!!!!!! then try ninjagaiden (xbox )then tell me whats wrong with this boring trite excuse for a ninja adventure or did i dog the story line???????????????????? its pitetic but!!!!!! what do i know i live in a third world country , Trinidad!!!!!!! some how we know hog wash when we see it, have a good time playing a bad game!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

3-0 out of 5 stars Too sour not enough sweet
Play at your own risk! This is a game that will make you want to snap your disc in half, make a controller sized hole in your tv, yell and scream and curse at inanimate objects OR become highly addicted IF you have nerves of steel! This is the HARDEST game Ive EVER played! The idea of stringing moves together to get a "tate" or better yet killing hordes of enemies quickly with cutscenes right out of an old school anime this is the game to sink your teeth into. However when people say this game is HARD dont take that advice lightly!
If a stylish but SUPER hard game is something your looking for this is the game for you! Its not a "bad" game but the difficulty is a tad too much most of the time ultimately making it a game that is an aquired taste that seems to leave more of a bitter taste in most gamer's mouths than the sweet taste that is supposed to be there.

3-0 out of 5 stars Sega What happened to Yuzo Koshiro ?
Revenge of Shinobi and Shinobi 3 are Masterpieces. This game is far from that. Difficulty is not based on skill but rather on how long will u play before u smash the controller over your head. I played this game until the last boss with the strategy guide. I could not beat the last boss, this is actually only the second time I have not been able to finish a game in my life.

Yuzo Koshiro synonymies with Streets Of Rage and Shinobi, made some of the best 16-bit Music. Why did Sega abandon this guy?

It's worth checking out if u are a fan of the original Shinobi, but this is not Joe Musashi.

What happened to killing enemy with shrunken, in this game your shrukens are good for nothing. Also blocking has seemed to have disappeared. That's what really frustrated me about this game there were little things that could have been tweaked.

Overall it's still a good action game but not up to par with the rest of the series.

3-0 out of 5 stars The hardest freakin' game ever created
I've never played the original Shinobi games, but I heard they were cool. Then I bought a magazine that came with a demo disc featuring the highly anticipated rebirth of the Shinobi game. After getting home, I put the disc in and began the demo level (I think it was the second level in the final version), anyway, the first thing I noticed was his scarf, which is like a big wisp of blood running from his face and following him everywhere.Which was pretty cool, then I started fighting.

Now the game isn't bad.But it's certainly not stellar. And one of it's downfalls is the fighting. Not so much the button configuration or anything, but the delay of action after you do something. For example, if you swing to slice somebody in half, and you know there is an enemy ready to strike from behind, after you attack the first guy, there is a bit of a pause and you get hit. There is no avoiding this, even when you scoot across the screen like in all the magazine ads.Somehow, enemies always seem to hit you if they want.I just wish it were that easy for the player.

While not incredibly long, the game certainly isn't short. And the extras it provides are a real challenge to unlock.Mainly the ones that require you to first beat the game.Which, in itself, is one of the most difficult tasks no gamer should have to suffer. My friend and I would stay up all night trying to beat some of the later levels, and still not win.In the beginning though, it is fairly easy.Until you get to the platforming levels that is.

This game's camera acts like an alcoholic behind the wheel Jaguar. If it's not directly on you, it's nowhere. You might be on your 100th attempt at a frickin' hole you're supposed to jump from panel to panel to get across, and you'll be doing fine, until an ungrateful bastard of an enemy pops up and canstantly attacks you until you kill him.But wait, he has friends, so you have to kill all of them too.And of course they are flying, so you find yourself over a bottomless pit, cutting up enemies when all of a sudden you trigger this "tate" cutscene, which is supposed to make you look like a badass as all of your enemies fall to pieces at the same time in the background, but guess what, you can't see those aforementioned foes because the camera is directly on top of you.So all you see is your character sliding his sword back in it's sheath, making some "badass" remark under his breath, and the blackness of the pit you find yourself hovering over.So as soon as you regain control, you must frantically try to find somewhere to land, which you will find only happens ten percent of the time.Which, in turn, will give you the urge to slice up your television and everything else in your room. And that's just the first couple platforming levels, you haven't even begun to feel pain yet kids.

The later levels are vast and sprawling, in the most linear terms possible. They are quite large, and you'll actually see alot of them in great detail as you find yourself searching for enemies to kill before your soul-sucking sword kills you.Enemies are few and far between, and the ones you do find, will either kick your ass, or find some friends to help kick your ass.Sure, you could try and use some skill and dash all over the area, slicing and dicing, but you WILL get hit.And as far as skill goes, there is none involved in this game. The only way you can beat this monster of a title is to get pissed off, yell at it, then hope for some incredible luck.Which, by the way, only works about half the time.

On the graphics side, they're decent.Nothing special, kind of bland (the environments especially). The only thing that really sticks out is that cool looking scarf, which is more distracting that the monsters, but in a good way, I suppose.Well, you can probably find the game for around 15 to 20 dollars, so it's not too bad a deal.I recommend it to anyone looking for a challenge, but be careful, you might break it before you beat it.

Oh yeah, that difficulty I was talking about, that didn't even skim the surface of the insanely hard bosses, which thankfully, don't come until atleast halfway through the game.Well, that's all I have to say.Buy it if you are massochistic, pass it if you like your sanity.

Graphics-3 (the scarf gets a 4)
Sound-3
Control-3
Overall-3.5

5-0 out of 5 stars In short...
I think all the features of this game have been covered so....

If you're an older gamer (20+) who enjoyed the Genesis Shinobi titles and didn't mind the difficulty - this game IS FOR YOU.

I've updated this review to clarify a couple of things:

1.) Yes, the game is very difficult. But those reviews that say that it's difficult and the fighting system is bad are innacurate. There absolutely IS a strategy to fighting groups of enemies. You charge your sword on the smaller ones, then kill the large one in one slash! If you understand and use this system the way it was intended, you can even kill some stage bosses with as little as 2 hits!

2.) Platforming - to me it was the most difficult part of the game, but it's not impossible. All Shinobi games I can remember had verydifficult jumps. The only really bad part - is no checkpoints. You restart the whole level. However if you die during a boss fight, you won't have to repeat it.

The point is, it seems everyone either loves it or hates it, there's no middle. I can see how it may be frustrating, but I don't think why people would think it's boring. But I think everyone should give it a chance. It's cheap now, and it just may become your favorite game... it did for me.

This game is worth way more then it's current price (08/02/04) ... Read more

5-0 out of 5 stars Not Fooling You
Just to let everybody know, I'm almost positive that that item is sold with an official Konami beat pad. I saw the same thing at Best Buy, same box & everything, so the odds are it's the official Konami beat pad.

5-0 out of 5 stars D.D.R. Max -- 2
This game is extremely fun but the pad's aren't durable at all. Really, at all.

5-0 out of 5 stars More Info
I need to know what DDR games have to two dance mats and which ones dont....i love the game because i played it at my friends house but which is which!?!?!?

5-0 out of 5 stars Great game, but watch out
If you buy this make SURE you're buying it from an honest seller who's including a real Konami dance mat. I see there's lots of listings here on Amazon, but if you look they're not selling this official bundle. It's the same game, but a third party dance mat (and I'd guess likely a cheap one). You can get that for a lot less than what many of them are asking... I have a Konami Dance Mat and a cheap third party. The Konami mat is just so much better I couldn't even describe it. It's way more resposive and a lot less slippy.

As for the game itself, it's the best, most addictive game you've ever play (but DDRMAX 1 had better songs...)

5-0 out of 5 stars You're A Dance Animal!
Having purchased the DDRMax2 box half a year ago, I can safely say that this is the best purchase I've made since I got my PS2.In just over 6 months of playing DDR I've lost weight, gained stamina, and my gameplay has advanced leaps and bounds. Most of the praise that I'd offer has already been mentioned in previous reviews, I'll address the concerns they offered:

-Yes, the pad is flimsy, and will DEFINATELY slip and/or bunch up as you start playing faster and harder songs.I solved this problem by mounting my pad to a plywood board with duct tape and saran wrap.6 months of play later and the arrows are all INCREDIBLY responsive, almost as if I'd just taken the pad out of the box.As far as the 'ricepaper' pads are concerned, official Konami pads are as good as you can get. However, if you want a softpad with thicker padding, check out LevelSix.com's 2.1s or 3.1s, which are equivalent in quality but superior in price to RedOctane pads.

-Reviewer 'A gamer's opinion is thoroughly misguided, and I fail to see why he gave zero out of five stars. While most of the music is J-Pop inspired, what would you expect from a game that comes from Japan? Most seasoned DDR players are actually concerned with the importation of American music into DDR, as they would rather have classics like Butterfly and Cowgirl than, for example, Busy Child or Days Go By.Furthermore, one can find DDR emulators for the computer that allow you to create your own songpacks and play with DDR pads.

As far as my own review of Max2, I'd put it at maybe about par with Max.I'm not a fan of the disco/house songs that seem to be more present in Max2 than in Max, but I'm a particular fan of Break Down, Heaven, Dream a Dream, and Tsubasa, along with the ever-difficult Maxx Unlimited.

In the end, I thoroughly recommend this to anyone who's even remotely interested.Even if you don't think you'll like the music, you'll soon find yourself woefully addicted and singing along even when you aren't playing. You will see arrows in your sleep, and you will thank yourself for making this purchase. ... 1-0 out of 5 stars what a let down
i was hoping for a classics compilation.when i didnt see zaxxon, super zaxxon or pengo,i was already dissapointed.i bought the game anyways.will someone please tell sega to put the above mentioned games in a future disc.

5-0 out of 5 stars Sega is Improving!
After a slow wave of boring games from Sega, they are finally making games like they used to!This compilation is the best $20 you'll ever spend on a game with excellent replay value. The games are basically left intact as their original counterparts (same music, gameplay, etc.), but are enhanced with dazzling color graphics and techno-like remixes of the music and sounds and some extra or modified backgrounds/levels(unlike some game remakes where the sounds are bland or the graphics or gameplay has completely changed to the point where you don't think you are still playing the game of the same name).Looks like the same group of individuals who made Sega games in the past has revived to make this one.Although I am pretty disappointed that the same Ferrari is no longer used in OutRun (probably for licensing reasons no doubt).

The challenge level is just right also (not too easy or hard). Some games offer unlimited continues, while others don't.

I think these games will only appeal to those of the older days (late 80s to early 90s players)-- especially those who grew up with the Sega Genesis. If you are into newer, more serious games like Halo 2 or other strategic type, multi-button pressing, 360 degree spinning, 1st person perspective type games, this collection might not be your cup of tea (you might call this collection "gay" because it's not a serious, life-like simulator game).

All in all, a great collection of 10 games. Now if only Sega could bring back their other games like Zaxxon in enhanced graphics-- yeah, that would be the ultimate collection! ... Read more

2-0 out of 5 stars Its okay.
I have been completely frustrated by this game.First off, its not a game for young children. The content is completely appropriate for all ages, but it can be difficult to navigate and play. The game has the feel of a product that was rushed into production without ample playtesting. My game (ps2) has locked up at least 3 times while playing it.In addition, Bill will occasionally get stuck halfway in a wall and must be 'creatively' manuveured to escape (i.e. repetitively activate and dismount the scooter)

The currency is also feathers. Not a problem, but the collection of them seems to be.You get points for how well you perform a mission. You then use the feathers to purchase items. However, you cannot repeat a mission once completed so unless you want to score about 1000 times at soccer or water polo (yawn!), there is no way to accumulate a large number of feathers if you don't do well on the missions the first time (and you don't know the scale of success until you are done with the mission).

Finally, there is a completely lack of online (or any other for that matter) support for this product. It seems to be a game that was released, failed, and is now being cleared out. While its okay for a bit, the entire idea of timed missions gets boring and repetitive after a while especially since the majority of times I fail a mission its because of gameplay issues (usually a bad screen angle).

5-0 out of 5 stars great game
this game has perfect graphics and the misions are great and easy.this is a perfect game/gift for everyone. ... Read more

4-0 out of 5 stars Classic Intellivision gameplay on a new console!
Many of the reviewers have given this bad reviews because it lacks some of the more popular titles, such as the AD&D games (Treasure of Tarmin, Cloudy Mountain), and the TRON titles (3 were released for the original Intellivision). The fact is that the Intellivision group does NOT own the copyrights to these games anymore, thus, the reason they are missing. Overall, a huge collection of Intellivision games on one disc; most of the games are playable on the Playstation 2 controller (and there are some "workarounds", such as using the right analog stick or pressing the "select" button to bring up the original Intellivision keypad). Some games are still frustrating because of the original versions dependence on the original Intellivision controller, such as Major League Baseball, but overall I would recommend this collection, both for its faithful adaption of the original games ported to a current generation game console, and for the sheer number of games present. It is also nice to play some demo and playable versions of never-released games. There are plenty of younger kid friendly games on this disc, too, such as Frog Bog, Word Fun, Math Fun, Pinball, etc. Some elusive game titles are now playable for the first time for me, and I am an original Intellivision owner that still has over 50+ games, the Intellivoice, etc. Also note: the reason that there are not any Imagic third party titles is because Activision owns the Imagic game library (Activision bought the rights when Imagic folded in the mid-1980s). If you want a few of these titles, I would recommend the PS2 Activision Classics game.

1-0 out of 5 stars Intellivision does not live!
Being a kid in the heyday of Intellivision and its Intellivoice add on I was revved up to get all my favorite "old school" Intellivision games on one disk....taht was until I tried to play it...almost all of the games do not work with the playstation controller...do they really expect you to pause the game try to figure out the keypad with a corresponding move then un pause and try to do whatever move you wanted to do in the first place...Do not buy this game...Also they should have put the Tron games on it anyway....the only game worth playing on this disk is Astrosmash and thats a no brainer...just move and shoot....The should have let it die instead of ruin its legacy

5-0 out of 5 stars Thanks for the memories
A wonderful collection of retro games from a era gone by.The graphics are classics and selection expansive. An adjustment is required to get use to the new style of controls, hope someone comes out with the classic disc/keypad controller!Although some colors and sounds aren't exactly authentic, the bonus material make up for it.A very high value collection for those who experienced the original.

2-0 out of 5 stars Loved Intellivision but....
I was an Intellivision junkie until I was about 12 years old. I can't even begin to remember all of the titles I once owned. Needless to say, I was excited to see that 60 games have been grouped together for use on the PS2. Unfortunately, the transition for INTV to PS2 was far from smooth.

Cons-
1) The controls are horrible. Most of my favorite games (Tower of Doom, Utopia, and etc...) are unplayable. Who in the world did the QC on this product? Wasn't it pretty obvious that in order to "play" any of the games you must first be able to control the characters?

2) It was next to impossible for me to even get the game to play. "Blue Disc" or not- this is completely unacceptable. Once again, a decent QC department would never have allowed this product to be shipped.

3) A minor complaint is that some of the better games are missing. However, compared to problems 1 & 2 - this is pretty minor stuff.

Pros-
1) It is nice having the games in one collection. Not because the games are playable, but more because it is like watching an old familar movie.

3-0 out of 5 stars Great Nostalgia! Horrible controls!
Ah, waking up on Christmas day in 1982 and opening Intellivision was one of the best Christmases of my youth!I remember laughing at my friends who had Atari with their stick graphics as we would wait for George Plimpton to appear on the TV to vindicate those of us who sought a better system than the standard 2600.

Alas, nothing becomes obsolete faster than video games, and unfortunately, it is totally apparent in this compilation.Specifically the sports games which separated Intellivision from the pack at the time now appear as dated as an 8-Track tape. However, it is nice to play the games that remind you of better times in childhood.

"Astrosmash", the space shoot 'em up, is still a challenging blast to play."Bowling" still is as tough as I remember, "Skiing" holds up the test of time fairly well, stripped down, solid and timeless."Star Strike" looks great (especially in the commericals), but has lame game play. The list goes on (over 60 in all), most are barely playable by todays standards, that aside, there is some great nostalgia here.

Negatives? Some of the best games for Intellivision are not present.Mainly because they were put out by 3rd party manufacturers (Imagic, Activision, etc.) Too bad because "Atlantis" and "Demon Attack" (both from Imagic) were very good looking and fun games.

Lastly, the game controllers on the original Intellivision drew ire even from the most devout of Intellivision fans, and were downright despised by the 2600 faithful. The mapping of the controls to the Playstation2, to put it mildly, borders on utter failure. The effort is there (e.g. graphic represenations of the Intellivision 'overlays'), but the execution is just poor.Better controls, would make this compilation 4 stars.Nostaligia alone makes it a worthwhile purchase. And for 20 bucks, you really can't go wrong! ... 3-0 out of 5 stars Eh.
First i want to say, the gun they give you for this game when you buy it is a piece of junk. I don't want to be too harsh, but honestly, the thing blows. I bought another ' controller ' for this game to play 2 player. ( I got a laser gun.. it kinda hurts when it shines in your eyes.. ) This game is worth a buy for someone a fan of shooting, obviously. I enjoy the shooting mini-games they threw in this game.. even though there were only 2 or 3 of them. There is one that is a retro kinda game where you shoot little plates. That game can then be upgraded though to a newer 3D game where you shoot plates. Another one is just shooting a target. I am really good at it, if i do say so myself. But the thing about this game though, it's like playing an arcade game at home. And it really is some good fun. ( with two people. )

5-0 out of 5 stars just like the arcade
this game is just like the arcade version. it would be better if u could play online though. it is a good game. u can get hooked on it for weeks.

5-0 out of 5 stars Probably the greatest video game I've ever played
Time Crisis II RULZ!!!!!! I remember playing this classic in the arcade with my friend years ago. Then, today when I was at a Slackers with 55 bucks in my pocket saw this for about 50 bucks and thought, "What the Hell. I'll buy this." Well, it was a great purchase as I played it for about 3 hours. This game is just a great classic. I'm so glad that the geniuses at Namco made this gun controller to go along with the game as it makes gameplay more exciting and easier. Buy this and you won't be dissappointed.

5-0 out of 5 stars A Good Buy
okay, now time crisis is known for being an extremely fun light-gun shooting game, and it provides maximum enjoyment, maximun replay value, and even bonus games. most of the bonus games are arcade games, such as "agent training", and in my opinion, all of the bonus games are pretty lame, but the crisis missions are very fun and sort of challenging, (if your pretty experienced, then you can go through about 20 of the missions the first time without screwing up)as the missions start getting really hard on the fifth day (they are divided into days) also, time crisis 2 portrays nice challenges to get extra stuff to do in the arcade mode, such as: 1)if you beat arcade mode twice, then you unlock the option of unlimited ammo; 2)if you beat arcade mode without continuing, then you unlock the option of mirror mode, where the screen is flipped around and left is right and right is left (it doesnt sound like its much, but when you do it its a whole new experience). now onto the review....

STORY 4.5/10

As Time Crisis is known for great gameplay, it is also known for crappy storylines. The story is pretty much linear: rescue the kidnapped girl and stop diaz from launching a nuclear sattelite. As the story is not that great, the voice acting is not that great either. This game is not about story, though, so do not worry about it too much, as you will grow used to the cheesy storyline and acting

SOUND AND MUSIC 8.5/10

GREAT music during gameplay. it makes me actually pause the game and listen to it. They even remixed the original Time Crisis music so it sounds a little...rock-ish. The only problem I have with the music is during the cutscenes, the music makes me want to rip my own head off, along with the person who made that music, as it is that annoying.

On a very positive note, the sound effects are astounding. The gunshots sound very real, the grunting of the men when they fall to their death makes it seem you actually are in the middle of a crisis battle, producing some fun there.

GAMEPLAY 9.5/10

The gameplay in this game is extremely fun and addicting, allowing you to play one or two players at the same time. Namco has also added a quite original and fun way to play the game: double gun mode. This mode lets you play with two guns at once (apparantly), and if your thinking, reloading is not that hard. but beware, your accuracy percentage is sure to go down quite a bit. The only thing I think they should have added on are shields for the enemy. Just one shot will kill the enemy, making it a little too easy there. In order to get a real nice challenge, I put the game mode on Very Hard. But do not worry, the game is still very fun

GRAPHICS 9/10

Extremely good graphics, as water looks like water, lasers look like lasers and so on. nothing more to say

REPLAY VALUE 10/10

This game is a very fun game, and you have different experiences each time you play different modes such as regular 1p, two-player, double gun, and mirror mode. I recommend that you get this game and play with a guncon 2, not a guncon 1

5-0 out of 5 stars Awesome!
Time Crisis 2 is my first shooting game I got for my PS2 and so far its one of the best.....Haven't heard of or played the game until I saw it at the arcades and decided to get the game. I took the risk as a used game at a gaming store saving me about $23. The game AND the gun work great as a pre-owned game....So far its fun cuz you get to blow up a few stuff(ex.: a gas truck behind two cars and an enemy group). I recommend this game for shooting game fans. ... Read more

4-0 out of 5 stars Sweat Game!!!!!!!!!!
This game is realy fun.You get to cause car wreaks, you get to blow up your car too.The only thing that's bad is your timeline.40 seconds to get halfway across L.A.Overall this game is great!!!!!!!!!

1-0 out of 5 stars Don't even waste your time
This is an abysmal game. The graphics are an insult to the PS2's capabilities and probably even to those of the original PS. It's terribly boring, and you'll get sick of its repetitive play before you even get to winning the other stages and cars (you start out with, oh, maybe one or two). The cars are slow and lumber through the racing stages, which have no actual tracks. The controls are terrible, and sound is mediocre. Liking the movie is no reason to buy this game.

Forget what you've heard. You are not going to pull off the ultimate heist. Your adrenaline will not rush. This is no high octane racer. If you're looking for good racing games on either the PS or PS2, I'd recommend any of the Grand Turismo series, or my personal favorite, Ridge Racer 4 (PS; 5 is for PS2).

2-0 out of 5 stars It needs a lot of work.
Eidos interactive didn't put enough effort into this game. This is one of the most boring games I have ever played! When you run into things you only see a small amount of sparks and you dont see any dents. this is just a really unrealistic game. I could find better graphics in a PS1 game. Don't even think about buying this game, if you do you're wasting your time.

Graphics 2/10 - Don't even ask me.

Gameplay 2/10 - Okay, but not great.

Replay value 2/10 - It needs more options.

Missions 1/10 - Not fun.

Multiplayer 4/10 - It's okay, but won't hold your intrest.

Story line 3/10 - Follows the movie.

Bonus features 2/10 - Not worth seeing.

Free roam 3/10 - The worlds are tiny and there are only 2.

Controls 6/10 - Easy enough for anyone to understand.

Music 3/10 - Nothing that makes you say wow.

My final rating out of 100 = 28 / 100.

1-0 out of 5 stars Boring Game
I don't think I'm overstating my case when I say the only difference between this game and the PS1 game of the same name is the graphics. The original PS1 game had horrible graphics, but at least you could blame that for the horrible gaming experience. This game has nice graphics, but the game play is dull and annoying. You either have to race around too fast and miss the ending point, or you have to drive really really slow following someone who you cannot lose no matter what for four or five minutes at a time until your brain turns off. So, STAY AWAY, this game is a waste your life..

3-0 out of 5 stars Just OK
This game has a pretty cool concept, however, in the story board mode, it isn't much fun.Timer goes way to fast, and you must replay the scene several times to get it right (hope it's not just me).The rest of the game is OK, and even in story board mode it is, I'm afraid to say, a bit addictive. ... 5-0 out of 5 stars So much fun for the whole family!
This game is tons of fun!My husband, children (ages 6 and 7) and I have had hours and hours of enjoyment from this game.I definetely recommend that your children be able to read fluently to thoroughly enjoy the game. This game is also great for informal parties, as an ice breaker.

5-0 out of 5 stars Lots of fun, better than owning a karaoke machine!
This game was a lot of fun. The microphone headset works great. The only downside is I wish it had more songs... but I guess that is what sequals are for. Overall a good product, fun to play with friends or family... or even by yourself.

4-0 out of 5 stars Lots of fun, especially with a lot of people
It's a pretty fun game.It doesn't have a whole lot of songs, maybe around 30-40, but the ones that it does have are fun to sing and are songs that generally a lot of people know, or would be willing to learn. There are also several different modes to play in, so you can play the game over and over and never get tired of it.Perhaps one of the best features is that up to 8 people can play without any extra expansion packs or controllers; all you need is one controller and the USB headset and you just pass it around for everyone to play.

I agree with everyone else, though, when they say the headset is very flimsy.I originally was going to get a separate headset but bought the package deal.Bad idea. You practically have to eat the thing to sing, and it IS small and will get caught in long hair.Plus, you don't get the fun karaoke experience. My advice: buy the game separately, then get the handheld mic.As soon as I get some more money I'm gonna get the handheld mic myself, it picks your voice up better.

Overall, a good buy!And lots of fun, especially if you have a lot of outgoing, un-self-conscious people.

5-0 out of 5 stars Buy the one without the headset!
I'm still giving this game 5 stars, but do yourself a big favor and do NOT buy this version.Amazon also sells the same game without the headset.Use your savings to purchase the PS2 Handheld Mic!Your scores will be so much better because the game will be able to pick up your voice.

The included headset is child sized, and in order to get it to work, one needs to hold the mic to ones mouth and it still cuts out.Do yourself a favor and buy the this game without the included mic!And also pick up Karaoke Revolution 2 at the same time while you are at it so you'll have 70 songs to choose from!

4-0 out of 5 stars GET ON THE STAGE AND SING!!!!!!!!
OK lets get on with this review!

Storyline NA/10
This is no storyline to this game, all u do is SING!!!!!

Gameplay 10/10
This game is extremely fun u will spend hours playing this game!!! This game has some really good features such as video's of how the game was made, andpeople singing the songs.

Graphics 9/10
The graphics r ok, for what it is.The singer characters r fairly well done, but can be improved. The setting is also ok, but the crowd could be better done.

Sound/Music 10/10
YEAH of chores this gets a 10/10, the music for this game is ok with such songs as Wind Beneath my wings, like a virgin, believe, One week, smooth criminal, and Kiss me.This game has the best songs from the 80's and 90's

Replay Value 10/10
U can never finish this game, there's always something new to do with it.

Overall 9/10

1-0 out of 5 stars You're looking at this?
You probably don't know this game. Nintendo 64 games are better! They're making the current console systems look bad! Why did a waste 40 bucks?!?! Mouth animation doesn't go with them talking. Story isn't very good. Levels are short and easy. Almost the only thing you do is jump and run. It's also boring. Non-humorous like the show. The Ultimate Challenge(the last stage) is the easiest part of the game! And graphics: TERRIBLE! Don't come near this game.

5-0 out of 5 stars This Game Rocks My Head!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
It was a excellent game . I think kids all over the world would love this game like it's heaven!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I saw this game at some's house.crap is what it was.You have to wait to wish for cruddy stuff (not to mentio the graphics).I'd avoid this game. This should be called Superly retarded poopheads.I'm not a good writer, but you get my point. If you want to pay something fun, play ratchet and clank, jak and daxter, prince of persia, grand theft auto, metal slug, mechassualt, or halo.Just don't buy fairly odd parents.

2-0 out of 5 stars Good for about $8
At the time, it was $40.00 on Pre-Order. We pre-ordered. I got it. I looked at the graphics and talking animation. Bad. The developers didn't work very hard. It's totally easy. Graphics and the noises, everything fairly bad. No 2003 graphics. Rather 1998 graphics. Not so bad, but not really recommended. ... Read more

1-0 out of 5 stars What the hell?
SVG Distribution made a bold attempt to invent a simple yet addicting puzzle game to bewitch and enthrall the likes of us who would sit and play Tetris or Dr. Mario for hours on end.Instead, they just made Mojo.Boasting frustrating controls, mediocre soundtrack, and ultra-repetitve gameplay, Mojo pushes the envelope of how crappy a game can be.Plus, you get the Mojo level editor, so you can make your own unholy soul-crushing levels, just like the other 200+ the game already makes you suffer through. You'd be better off buying $10 worth of golf balls, and flinging them through the windows of SGV Distribution's office building.

3-0 out of 5 stars Nice Brain Candy
I bought this as a gift for someone in my home. I am not a gamer but the controls are too loose for the game to be really fun, I realize that is part of the game but still, to make it enjoyable. Maybe if you are a fanatic it is better but for the average "hey you wanna play a game person" it is frustrating to try and control the Mojo Ball. But then again for ten bucks what the heck .

3-0 out of 5 stars Shoddy but Entertaining.
Listen, the faults with this game are obvious. The scoring reflects relatively little on the competency of the player, and the "game" elements are poorly integrated if not downright pointless. Sure, you can't actually //go into// the mansion you buy or fly that private jet, and, yes, you're going to score better if you just hum or go "ba ba ba" in time with the music. But why do that when you can suspend disbelief a little bit and have some fun with it?

For a karaoke game, I feel the selection comes up with a pretty adequate cross-section of mainstream hip-hop (though missy elliott is curiously overrepresented--not that the fact draws any complaints from myself). When it comes down to it, this is a product for karaoke fans. not for die-hard game fans (who will, i'm certain tire of it within the first two plays) or even die-hard hip-hops fans (who will probably find the scoring to be inadequate and likely infuriating). But for people who like to have a good time looking dumb in front of their friends as they stumble through popular songs (or look even dumber trying to come up with their own rhymes to some corny canned beats) it's great.

so sure. know what you're getting into, but it doesn't cost that much (Assuming you already have the mic/headset), and if you're into karaoke, you'll get some good times out of it.

1-0 out of 5 stars This Game Broke My Heart and Wallet
The idea of rapping along with famous people appealed to me since I first heard of this game. Now that I've bought it I'm feeling buyer's remorse to the max. I like rap as much as the next guy, but after 2 and a half hours I have seen everything this game has to offer. The microphone can't actually understand the words you're saying, and you can actually get higher scores by mumbling than by actually learning the song. THIS DEFEATS THE ENTIRE PURPOSE OF THE GAME. The game also advertises that you can buy cars, a mansion, a helicopter and a yacht. These have no bearing on the gameplay, but are merely tiny still pictures that appear behind your character on the character select screen. There are 40 songs and here's the list:
Get Busy, Ante Up (Remix), Get By, Baby Got Back, Beware of the Boyz, Dude, Ma I Don't Love Her, The Jump Off, Posse On Broadway, Hey Mama, Tipsy, Get Ur Freak On, Rappers Delight, Wit Dre Day, Pass That Dutch, Humpty Dance, California Love Remix, Beautiful, The Next Episode, Work It, Gin and Juice, What Da Hook Gon Be, Through the Wire, X Gon Give It To Ya, Ruff Ryder Anthem, Still Ballin', Naggin, Dear Mama, Pump It Up, Push It,Express Yourself, Game Over, Nothing But A G Thang, Rubber Band Man, Crank It Up, Fix Up, Hypnotize, Jesus Walks, Whoa and Don't Believe the Hype (appropriate, because this game stinks!) Don't bother learning any of them since you can mumble your way through and still get a "Blazin'" rating. Save your money and just sing along with your CDs. I wasted (...)so you don't have to... ... 4-0 out of 5 stars Memory Lane
If you're a gay man in his mid-forties (like me) then this game is like falling down memory lane, and getting hit by the dance club bus.

I've spend nearly all of a holiday weekend and I've only hit three of the clubs. So many samples give you so many choices.I've heard all kinds of riffs from all kinds of music I've listened to over the years. It was incredibly nostalgic, AND fun!

The tutorial is hardly worth looking at.But the booklet is pretty good, if sometimes a bit jargony.

But once you get going, the sounds you can make.Incredible.

For the bucks, first class.

4-0 out of 5 stars Get your groove on!
Ejay Clubworld is a sick game for the music makers like me. In this game there are different clubs you can go to and each one contains different music genres. They include: Ambient, Acid/Electro, Hip-Hop, Reggae, Drum & Base, House, Trance, and Techno. My personal favorite is Electro because I've made some pretty sweet songs on that one. But all the clubs are good so this game suits any music fan.

An only downside is that you can't make music videos for your songs like you can in other music games. You can only use the video already on there. But anyway, it's still a great music-makin' experience.

B+

3-0 out of 5 stars Its OK
tHE IS FUN FOR PEOPLE WHO LOVE MAKING MUSIC. (LIKE i DO) BUT EVEN THEN THE GAME GETS BORING KINDA FAST. IF I WAS YOU I WOULD RENT THE game first. (something I should have first).

The good side is you can use differnt kinds of music sound etc.

The bad side is its kinda hard at first and the contrelling is hard.

Thanks for reading.

My thirteen year-old daughter enjoyed this game tremendously.
There was music played loudly, but at least I didn't have to worry about where she was. ... Read more

5-0 out of 5 stars Wow!
Actually, I stopped my here on my way to buy some more dance games. We picked the game and a dance pad up yesterday, and my husband and I have just spent three hours laughing at each others attempts at keeping time. My two year old daughter loves it, since the more we dance, the more Jungle Book songs she gets to hear, and soon, she'll be able to try the easy level for herself - the easiest level is deinately fine for small children, and us adults only made it up to about the third level. Fun for the whole family, and a great laugh. Hopefully now I can find some more fun dance games for athletically challenged!

4-0 out of 5 stars Fun with Controller
I bought this game for my 4 year old son last summer. We play it with the controller (it can be played both with controller or with dance mat).I enjoy this game as much as he does.He doesn't have a problem getting me to play PS2 with Jungle Book. This is one of the few games I really enjoy.

5-0 out of 5 stars Great for family fun!
I got the game to play with my 5-year old daughter and then realized I needed dance pads. So I got a pair and the whole family just had a blast for the last three hours playing this game! The team mode allows more skillful players to make up for the sort-comings of less-skilled players, so it is a great collaborative game to play with your kids.

There are five levels and we, the parents, could only keep up on the third level. My 5-year old could just do the easy level, so there is a lot of potential for future play.

This is a great game for kids, or for families that like to play together!

4-0 out of 5 stars dance marathon!
I got this game not knowing what it was about. When I found out, I went out and got 2 dance mats. There is an option that lets you dance vs another player, which is a lot of fun. the most fun is watching others try to coordinate to the lead given by the game... I highly recomend it.

1-0 out of 5 stars Don't Waste Your Money- Rent It First
We bought this for our 8 year old son. He likes role playing games and Disney. We thought this would be a good combination. There is really no storyline. The only objective is to "dance" to the right combination of buttons. My son no challange in this. He finished the game in less than 1 hour and was very disappointed.

If you have kids, or even for yourself, get KINGDOM HEARTS. This game will become a classic. Both my kids loved it. After they finished KINGDOM HEARTS they were sad that it ended and they started it all over again.

So NO TO JUNGLE BOOK and YES TO KINGDOM HEARTS ... Read more
