The official 8MB PS2 memory card is good if you have only a couple of games.otherwise you need to buy more than one.It is said that it runs 200 times faster, which isn't entirely accurate (usually about 185 times, but 200 is supposed to be the max).I bought this thing used for $17 dollars.That's expensive.If you have an oldr model of Playstation, it would be better to shell out $100 for Final Fantasy 11/hard drive bundle.The hard drive is 40 gigs, which is 5,120 times larger than this memory card.If you have a slim ps2, you can't use the hard drive.In that case, buy the 2 pack memory cards from Sony. It runs from $32 to $40, so get that package.Overall, a fast, reliable card, but Sony needs to produce larger cards.

DEF. WORTH THE $$$
First off, i did not buy the Sony brand cable.I bought a Madcatz brand one for $14.99 from Gamestop (thats all they had).I bought this cable because i recently bought a new tv that supports component video.It is NOT an HDTV so i didn't expect it to make a huge difference, but boy was i surprised!Games/movies were sharper and the colors were richer.Def. a noticable difference.I can only imagine the quality you would get if you had an HDTV.

Produces a Great Picture.
Prior to buying these component cables, I had been playing my PS2 with composite cable, connected through my VCR.The result of this: soft, muddy, and dull graphics.After purchasing Final Fantasy XI for my console, I heard quite a few times how the PC version is far superior visually.I had enough of my inferior video and audio experiences, so I purchased a new televsion, and these cables.The result: CRISP, CLEAN, VIBRANT images.The first time I turned on FFXI with these cables, the difference visually was as clear as day.The various imagery in the game, from trees, rocks, the sky, the terrain, and the characters pop out and are very well defined.They all seem to have the depth that I was missing all this time.The text present in the game has also become much clearer.I am proud to say that I can now enjoy this game at the same level visually as PC gamers enjoy theirs.My PS2 has gotten a major face lift.

I just bought the component AV cable from a 3rd party company and already has the S/video cables (3rd party too) . I've read that AV component it's much better than S video, and tha's why I bought it. But is not!.AV component seems to be a little better than standard AV cables (RCA). S video gives an extraordinary brilliance to images. Video Component looks opaque, maybe Monster cables works better. In summary:

Compact, but functional
I was looking for a way to save space on my desktop. Numeric keypads are a waste of space unless you're using a cash register but they occupy valuable space. I'd been looking for a low cost space saving keyboard but they seemed to be expensive. But then I saw this on sale. It wasn't marketed as working with PCs but I risked it anyway. It works perfectly with both MacOS X and Windows XP.



It certainly saves space. It's actually more compact than laptop keyboards. I'm used to using the Fn key to get features like 'Home' and 'PgUp' but the number and function keys are half height which makes them slightly tricky to use. But this may affect touch typists more than hunt-and-peck types like me.



Overall a great space saver for PCs but slightly cramped layout. I've not tried it on a PS2. I've no idea why it is marketed as a PS2 keyboard!

Absolutley Retarted
This Keyboard is the apitimy of accesories. The overall use of this item is at an all time low. The board is made of cheap plastic and the keys are not safe to pressure. Their easy breaking habits make this keboard a death trap for small children. A waste of time to make a keyboard for a playstation 2 instaed of a computer. The small number of games one is able to play with a PS2 is very limited and the number of good games is even more scarce. The chances of you using this keyboard frequently would be close to 1 in 99999999999 trillion. I am serious the moment you open the box you wont even use this product. That is how retarted it really is!!

Works great with Windows XP
Bought this keyboard to use at local LAN parties. It's incredibly small, but still fully comfortable for typing. The placement of some of the keys is a little different, but I've had no problems getting used to them after about a week of normal use. I have no real complaints, although I wish that Logitech had given a small amount of space between the row of function keys and the number keys. Both rows are smaller buttons and the space would have made the keys a bit easier to hit when gaming.

Overall still a fantastic product.

It's small enough to fit in your lap as you send messages to your friends with the control in your hand. It works great with online titles such as socom2 and resident evil outbreak. Great Product

I recently got this LCD screen, and I couldn't be happier. It makes out of town trips more enjoyable, and the quality is superb. DO NOT get other brands, but get only the genuine Sony screen. In addition, don't close the screen while the console is on, or it will overheat. Also, be sure to keep the image on the screen moving, or it will freeze.

I had this for almost a year now and it rocks! I have a GameCube, PS2, N64, NES, SNES, GBC, GBA, GBA SP, and a PSone of course. Out of all I just said, I like the PSone the best. Why? Well, it has some of the best games and the PSone is cheap and with the LCD screen (a screen that has liquid clear display) more enjoyable because it can go in the car and plane and my room! In addition, the games for the PSone range from $5 to $30. If you do not want to use the screen, plug the PSone to you are home TV and play away when the small LCD screen still attached to the PSone. In addition, if you have the right camcorder, you can play what is on it right threw the PSone LCD screen with one cheap cord. You can also use headphones on the LCD screen to hear what you are playing on them. In addition, if you forgot you are CD player and brought you are music CD's, why not play em' on the PSone... you CAN!

A purchase superior to all others
This screen is the PERFECT addition to anyone's psone system, and is well worth every bit of their dollar. I caution you strongly, DON'T BUY ANY OTHER SCREEN UNTIL YOU HAVE SEEN THIS ONE. This sony version is completely flawless and it is a very rare condition that any pixels do not work on the screen. This version of the screen is lightweight, thin, and reliable. I have owned this product for half-a-year now and have not had ANY problems with it and I am very satisfied with my purchase. If your purchase the AV multi-out connector you can connect things to your screen such as, a camcorder or any other device that has a multi-out port. This cable can be purchased for under $3. If you purchase this screen, and want it just for portable uses, I would highly reccomend purchasing a battery to accompany this item for only about $30.

LCD Backlight Problem
I bought this brand new LCD screen from a local Target store tonight. As soon as I came home, I found that the LCD screen is black, although dim graphics can be perceived when held at an angle. I am quite sure it is the problem with the LCD backlight. I wonder if such problem is a common defect, since it is already mentioned here.

Disappointed
My daughter got the PS1 with LCD screen combo for Christmas a year ago, and when we opened it and hooked it up, the screen did not work properly. The screen was black, but if you held it at an angle, you could tell there were graphics present. Yes, we adjusted the contrast and nothing helped. We took it back and they had no more in stock, so we went to Sears. We got their last one and I asked to hook it up and try it out before we left--just in case. Sure enough, it did the same thing, so we left empty handed. Finally, we found a combo unit at Target and it worked--for about 7 months. A few months ago, it started going on the fritz and if we unplugged the cable and fiddled with it, it would work again. It finally quit working alltogether. It was great while it worked, but now I'm leery as to how long another one will work. Is a 90 day warranty sufficient for an item so pricey? I don't think so. Too Expensive to be that cheaply made!
I bought one a while ago for $40, two months later it broke somehow.Then I got another one for $30... That one broke too!.This headset is about as durable as a Lays Potato Chip...I'm serious!.... i purchased this headset a month ago, despite being told that it breaks easily and the uslesness of it in online games. even though i was extremely carfull not to cause any trama on the headset, to broke any way. the earphone doesn't work and the microphone is weak.

Note: I don't own a PS2, I bought this for a cheap USB headset for my computer.

This headset is really bad. The build quality is a joke; I was afraid I was going to break it taking it out if the packaging (incidentally, the packaging is quite solid). The plastic is cheap and flimsy.

Besides the low quality build, this thing is tiny, clearly designed for a little kid to wear. I adjusted it as big as it would go, and while I got it on my head, the fit was light years from satisfactory. Even for people with smaller heads, it only adjusts on one side, so if you adjust the size the headset becomes lopsided.

The sound quality is also very poor. While it noticeably cancels some noise, the remaining signal is scratchy, and generally low quality (though not as bad is the build quality).

Is this the only USB headset that works on PS2?
I realize that there are exactly 2 headsets that seemed to be endorsed, but I stuck an Apple USB keyboard in the same USB slots for these headsets and that works fine. Has anyone tried another kind of USB headset, other than the two offered here, using one of the two USB ports in the front of your PS2? That would be good to know for sure. Because there are other quality USB headsets out there. I would be willing to bet that if SONY's PS2 website doesn't specifically endorse any headset, under the heading of "hardware" then, other headsets are up for grabs. Great Mat For Beginners But Get It On eBay!
This mat is great for beginners.It won't last too long for advance users but this mat is a great way for a beginners to learn how to play.Some people recommend duct tapping plywood on the bottom of the mat some it responds better, but if you get a mat anywhere, I STRONGLY RECOMMEND getting one on eBay.Usually, they are brand new and factory sealed.They usually come in a sets of two (one for you and a friend) and sell for about $8.50 like this one (either in XBox or PS2) and $15.95 for shipping (The Buy It Now price on eBay is usually $8.50 but you can still bid on it to save a couple of bucks).Shipping for these mats on amazon.com are $4.49 for 3-5 day shipping and $8.98 for two day shipping so you still come out ahead on eBay.I got a mat that retails for $130 (its sort of like the mat that sells for $99 here; its more expensive because it has extra padding and it will last longer) for $20 and $25 dollar shipping.For hardcore fans who really got some moves and play the DDR games a lot, eBay has the metal dance mats with the bar (looks exactly like the one in the arcades) for about $150 (not including shipping).Otherwise, this is an awesome mat but if you want to save money and get one for when a friend comes over, get one on eBay (if you get one on eBay, search ddr or search ddr extreme).

This was the first kind of DDR mat i've ever bought for my DDR game when I got it about 8 months ago. These pads are durable, but better made for beginners. When I play heavy mode songs, I slide clear cut across the carpet, and I dont even push very hard. I reccomend actually buying an official Konami pad, because these stick to the floor better and stay in place. Of course, when I always play against someone, I end up against a wall and my pad rides into it, while my friend is in place the whole time. >>; Do not buy this if your a good DDR player. This is for beginners only.

I really only had a few problems with mine. Ive had them for 8 months and it hasnt ripped or anything. So sometimes the sensors get out of position.. but they do go back. My two pads are fine. Although I usually have to drag my pad back to the other side of the room after I play one heavy song. X_X;

A Little Tip
If you're really interested in DDR, I wouldn't recommend BUYING a pad, let alone a soft one, even a redoctane. You can BUILD a double pad, just like the arcades, for less than 1/5 of the price of ONE metal pad from any company. [...] I built one in 3 days, and it works like a charm, no problems, and it works just like the arcade!

Carrying Crap More Like It!!
When first setting eyes on this case I was happier then a gay school boy until realizing its worthelss. Without any thoughts I bought it thinking it would be ideal for trips and long gaming ours on the road...Instead I ended the buy with turmoil. When I went to Chicago for a trip to a gaming convention I brought my Playstation 2 in the case. "Yes I can use it" I thought when unpackaging it. When I lifted the handle it instantly broke like some cheap chinese plastic. I was pissed but I still had hope. Thinking that the broken handle might have been a defect in my product I simply took the bag along. When pulling it out into my hotel I realized that it was lighter then it ever was. With a PS2 2 controllers and 3 games I thought It would be heavier. I then examined the bag closer...Hmmm it seems as if a hole on one of the side pockets had emerged. Thus I lost three of my favorite games. The hole was obviously due to cheap cloth issues that were used to make the bag. Again was angered but still stayed an optimist. Taking the bag to the convention to set up my deck (Kiosk-like booth) I sat the bag down and pulled on the zipper ever so slightly. What do you know its jammed. So I pulled a bit harder. Eventually it opened but was dissassembled from the other zipper string. "Oh Hell!!" I screamed and took my PS2 out of the bag and all the accessories and threw the bag in the trash. While coming home I put all my gear in a plastic back (Which ironically enough did not rip tear etc.). When coming back home I was dissapointed in my new carrying case inhope of a refund the dic*holes at Best Buy declined. So don't put yourself through this. If a plastic bag is more durable then the item that you are planning to buy, go for the plastic bag. This item is a piece of shi* and unless you want to spend $20 or $40 as I did then go for it. Just remember you could buy a new game and carry your PS2 in a plastic bag for only 10 cents.

PS2 Carrying Case
I bought this case about 7 months ago and I fell in love with it.When traveling back and forth to Detroit, MI, this bag made carrying around my PS2 a breeze.Instead of tucking it away in my luggage where it might get damaged, I could keep it safe right next to me.I noticed that most reviewers said that they could only fit 4 games inside of the PS2 case.Well, I manage to fit about 8-10 if I pack my PS2 in the case just right.It's all a matter of packing.This case is also very padded and comes with a secure strap to clip it down to the main compartment.

Overall, this is the best carrying case I have ever bought.I definitely give this best a 5-star rating.

Best PS2 Case
I first looked at this case at Electronics Boutique for $30 and decided not to buy it.I'm glad I did because I found it at Walmart a week later on sale for $15.

It's a little tight, but that's good because it won't slide around in there.It's supposed to hold 4 controllers, but I can only fit 2 in there because I have the network adaptor.But that's fine because I only have 2 controllers.It would be nice if it could hold a few more games (it only holds 4), but for $15, I'd still buy it.

Good Picture but watchout! Doesn't work with all games!
S-video is better than RCA but remember that no matter what kind of S-video cable you use, they will not work with light gun games. Keep that in mind if you like games such as Time Crisis 2. If you are already using S-video and want a light gun game, a different hookup is required.

I bought this cable the same time I bought my playstation2. It is a very good cable and works good. But it is over priced. The Monster s-video 300 is about the same price and delivers better picture then the sony. The sony s-video cable you are paying more for the name then any thing else. Stand in awe of its...vertical-ness . . .
Many reviewers are right on the money with their sense of bafflement at the existence of this shiny blue and black contraption. I bought it when I had to stick my working PS2, (my first one rolled over and died), when space in my office was at a premium and since I am rather klutzy at times, anything that kept it safe(r) could only be a good thing. Except for making a vertical Playstation 2 harder to tip over, it does nothing. It looks good, it's standy-ness cannot be denied. I can't wait for the Playstation 3 wall mount adapter or the ceiling mobile adapter or maybe an attractive PS3 hat ensemble. Sony is obviously preceding with the concept of `if you make it, they'll buy it.", which leads me to the horizontal stand... a beveled piece of blue and black plastic which sits under your PS2, now that makes no sense- who would buy such a thing!?! Oh... right...

The Greatest Product Ever!!
Are you kidding me this vertical stand is awesome. I bought it right when it came out and I love it. The verticalness of the PS2 when on the stand just makes your forget about what your playing. Its gorgeous. I cannot describe the usefulness of this product. I can stick it into a really narrow area between a wall and a bookcase, AWESOME!! This Vertical Stand has to be the greatest of accesories out their....HAHA kidding. I hate this product. Its useless in all aspects. As if you needed to use it between a narrow space and it looks just as nice as a regular standing PS2 if not worse. However spends, I mean wastes their money on this product is a dumba*s fag*ot. Enjoy!

How cheap can you get??
Came online tonight to pick up a vertical stand for the PS2 my Hubby got me for Xmas. But, come on!!!! $15.00 plus shipping and handling, not to mention any taxes? At the cost of this machine, Sony is really scraping the bottom of the capitalist barrel not including a round plastic disc with a slot or two in in it with the System. Shame, shame, I know your name!!! I'll just stand the thing between a few books or something. For $15.00 I'll be getting another game. And I will not be jumping to buy anything more from Sony, either. Feel like I am being ripped off, as in the old days when "upgrades" and new systems meant kissing all your old games goodbye!

Tell Me... IS THIS A JOKE!!!
First of all, why the HELL is this thing $15 dollars PLUS tax. I have PlayStation2, and I don't generally like it. I thought Microsoft was trying to steal your money, but now this PIECE OF GARBAGE comes along and it is a JOKE. Why is Amazon selling this for $15 dollars. i got mine with my PlayStation2 and now they are selling it just to keep space. This is a total joke.

..........Now that I have cooled down, this can be space saving. If it was free, well, it would be a good buy. PlayStation2 is not THAT big, and if you don't have enough space 1)Your poor and can only put everything in one room or 2)You have those TV's which have a million plugs. That is why it gets at least two stars, because nothing is THAT bad, (well...some games and equipment have gone over the edge).

So, instead of wasting $15 dollars, go out and save up for some games. The blue color is not impressive, and it doesn't cool down and it doesn't scratch your discs. Actually, it only does one thing, wastes your money.

ok, fine the stand works well, and its no mechanical wonder either, and the reason i say this is because, for 7 bucks, i mean cant this piece be included with the system? i cant believe how cheap sony got, they didnt even give people this measly piece of plastic with the system...that is the only reason i give it 3 stars, i dont want to give sony more than a medium rating on a product they make just because they tried to make a quick buck from it instead of giving people a free stand with the actual purchase of their system...! ... nice tv controller
i love this tv controller because i can watch tv and play games at the same time!! that is so coooolll. but it is a little heavier than a nomal controller.

Think once think twice
Well its good on long car rides - no TV needed. Its bad because it is heavy and works for 2 minutes then dies because it sucks battery juice faster than I suck on my beer.

okay heres how im gonna sort this. im gonna list all the pros and cons pros:good for long travels. dont need to put games in cons:sound is bad. good if you have headphones. screen is too small. screen weighs down controller. overall this is pretty good.

I bought it. Set it up right. Started playing. Shut it off. Came back about an hour later turned it on. All I had was sound and no video. I am an avid ps2 gamer. I purchased this from a local store because of its apparent convenience. Was I ever wrong. The device has a battery indicator on it with 4 bars. When the batteries go down to 3 bars, I have a very sporadic connection to my ps2 (my ps2 is only 10ft away). After a while of playing Everquest Online, this became very annoying and inconvenient. After a month, I ditched this and bought a cable extender. Another expensive lesson.:(

This adapter was orignily designd for psone But DON'T BE CONFUSED it DOSE work for PS2. How do i know? i did an experiment with my household adapters(they have the same plug) and the psone power cord DOSE FIT THE PS2! I am puting this on my wish list!!!

Does It Work For The PS2
OK, let me get this straight. YES, it does work for the PS2 becuase the PS1 and PS2 have the same outlet type and same electricy quantity. So, if you have a LCD screen or tv in your car, this is a must.

ps2 ps1 compatible
ummm... if you want to know if this is compatible with ps2, check the back of both the consoles. if the power in thingy is labled the same on both, then probabaly yes. I think it's compatible with ps2, though, because i once plugged my ps2 into the ps1 power cable, and the ps1 in to the ps2 power cable, and they both worked. but do that thing with the power input. i havent tried it yet. (:
