Xbox Live is an online gaming service that lets you play multiplayer Xbox games over the Internet via your broadband connection. This Xbox Live starter kit includes a one-year subscription to Xbox Live, plus the Xbox Communicator, a device that plugs into one of your Xbox controller ports and lets you talk with other Xbox Live gamers during games.

To play games over the Xbox Live service, you'll need:

• High speed, or broadband, Internet service

They do the trick...
I bought a couple of these a week or so ago, and they've proved to be a worthwhile purchase. I've used them both on my PS2 and my XBox, and they work fine on both. Since I don't own a Game Cube I can't confirm its compatibility. The built in plug is designed to work with a PS2 and they come with adapters for the other two systems. The only reason I give them four stars and not five is that they seem fickle about how far you unwind them. If you don't unwind at least a few feet of cable then they will sporadically lose their connection to the controller. It's not a big deal, but makes them less than perfect. ... Read more
