5-0 out of 5 stars Pokemon Emerald
Pokemon Emerald is pretty fun, but when you beat the game, there's not much more to do. It has some strategy involved, so that makes it kind of educational, but not really. I also never see a Game Boy Advance game break, so that makes it durable. So overall, it's a great game. The free tin is good, too.

5-0 out of 5 stars Awesome!, even with the knowledge of Ruby and Sapphire!
Hi, I am really excited about this game it just brings the Hoenn region to life and installs new tactics for creating as better gameplay experience. I plasyed this at one of the game stores and have not yet bought it yet, but that game has moved to the top of my list for games to buy!

Sincerely, Terrence mcgee

5-0 out of 5 stars This game..is awesome! Much better than Ruby and Sapphire!
This game is much more funner and challenging. After you defeat the elite four, you can go to the Battle Frontier. The Battle Frontier is absolutley awesome! Over all, I will give this game a 9.3 outta 10! Thank you nintendo for making this game so much better! For those who don't have the game, you will love it! It's much more advanced than boring old Ruby or Sapphire. IT'S much more FUNNER! And it's only a measily little price of 35 bucks. That's a pretty good deal! So get the game today! It's AWESOME!!!!

4-0 out of 5 stars Very Few Flaws
This game, overall, was very good. I believe that even those who have Ruby or Sapphire would like this game. One reason is the new Battle Frontier. this leaves you a major challenge once the core of the game has been completed. There are also many plot changes that make this game, overall, a good buy. ... 5-0 out of 5 stars Creeper/ Reaffirms my love for video games
Before I got this game I was racing RallisportS 2 and Project Gotham 2.So I rented this game having heard it was great and I popped it in and I wanted to go get my 7$ back from the video store. But I was stuck with it so I figured I'd see what it is all about.

All of sudden when I started winning a couple races and getting a little acclamated to great vast world this games offers, I was hooked.Hooked real hard.3 days later I played for abot 18 hours straight.

A few things I love about this game

1. Stunningly beautiful. While driving I just reaffirm to myself how beautiful this game is visually
2. Realistic Car Damage. If you ram into another car to try to knock it off the road so you can pass it, you end up messing your car up so bad that you'll get passed and lose.
3.If you screw up on a turn, you're going to wreck.None of this pull the E-brake junk on this game, you're going into a wall or spinning off into a feild.

Just some things I was thinking about. If you haven't tried this game, do so immediately, and make sure you play it for about 2 hours. That's when I couldn't put it down. It's kind of intimidating at first, but that passes very quickly.

5-0 out of 5 stars This game rocks !!!
Forza motorsport is the best racing game i have ever played. It blows away GT4 by far. The damage is very realistic unlike another certain racing game (lol).and the cars are just as cool. I definetly recomend this game for all you XBOX users. It will not disapoint. In conclusion if you have an XBOX get this one it rules.

5-0 out of 5 stars Awesome Racing Game
I recently got myself an XBox and was advised to rent and try before I buy. Blockbuster was out of Halo2 so I got this one home to try it out (I am a big fan of racing).

Before I say anything further I'd have to mention that this is my very first game on XBox so I cannot compare it to any other games.

Was I glad I rented it? Yes, Will I buy it? Yes.

It's a little pricey at $40+ when compared to other games but then again it has a great game in it.

As for the game itself it has a whole bunch of race tracks and customizable cars (categorized into Classes from R to D) with time trials, free runs and ofcourse the race arcades themselves.

I'd suggest spending $7 and renting it before paying $40+ for your own copy. ... Read more

5-0 out of 5 stars the coolest game ever
This game is the coolest game. It deels with sweet rides and awesome tracks . Buy this game you will never regret it!

2-0 out of 5 stars Controls are god-aweful.TOO TWITCHY!!!!!Way too sensitive.
This game is really disappointing. Why?Because the controls are too darn twitchy, way too sensitive.Move the analog stick a little to the left or right (by a little I mean maybe 1/4th to the extreme left or right) and the game behaves almost as if you're ARE turning to the extreme left or right (lock to lock).

Want proof?Go to the major video gaming websites (gamespot and IGN) and watch the videos they have for Need for Speed Underground rivals. The vast majority of videos show cars crashing into walls left and right. And keep in mind these cars are most likely being controlled by video game writers. In other words, not even these veteran video game players (video game writers) could control these cars well.

My other complaints with this game:

-The 'drift' races just plain s*ck.With the game's twitchy controls, doing 'drift' races past the first 2 or 3 is very, very frustrating.

-The upgrade system is very unorganized. When a player upgrades a part, there's nothing telling the player how the upgrade will affect the cars performance. Its a crapshoot.

-This game just isn't as fun as other PSP racers (Namco's Ridge Racer in particular). This game just isn't fast enough. After winning a few races, the game gives you the option of doing a 'quick race' in a 'souped up, maxed out' car.In other words, you can do 1 race in a fully spec-ed out car for a quick race-its supposed to give you an idea of what the player can eventually reach. But these races are mundane compared to the later races in Ridge Racer.Compared to Ridge Racer, this game feels like driving in grandpa's car (and Ridge Racer controls A LOT better).

My recommendation, get Ridge Racer (a very, very good game) or wait for Midnight Club 3 Dub edition to come out at the end of June 2005.Ridge Racer is alot more fun than NFS:UR and Midnight Club 3 SHOULD BE better than NFS (I have faith in Rockstar).

So Need for Speed does NOT get my recommendation. You should pass on this one (I'm selling my copy to some s*cker on Ebay).

5-0 out of 5 stars Need for Speed: Underground Rivals......
Need for Speed: Underground Rivals is everything you know and love about the Underground series but in portable form. Ditching the open city environment of Underground 2 in favor of racing like you did the first Underground, Need for Speed Underground Rivals delivers the goods of pure street racing and it does so in style. It should be mentioned, though, that certain elements of Underground 2 were also added to make this version of the Underground series a step above the console versions.Compete against rivals in 10 all-new tracks, and customize as well as compete against high-performance tuner cars from the U.S. and Japan. You'll be just as amazed with Rivals as you were when you first saw Need for Speed Underground on the PS2. The sense of speed is blistering. Control and handling is dead-on. And, the graphics are simply amazing(just check out the wet-slick streets you race on as well as the motion blur of the lights as you pass by or the sleek look of the cars you race in and tune up). Out of them all, this has to be my favorite thus far. The one thing I love most about Rivals is the riveting soundtrack you're listening to while you race. Loaded with lots of your favorite artists, it'll, definitely, keep the excitement going while you race...believe me.
I've read reviews where people go on about how Ridge Racers is so much better a racing game on the PSP(only because it supports 8 players in multiplayer while Rivals supports 2). In my opinion, the only game to ever hold a candle to the Underground series is the Midnight Club series. Until the PSP version of Midnight Club comes out, Rivals will be the ultimate street racing champ in my book and my most favorite racing game of all. Besides, Ridge Racers is an entirely different type of racing game and should be judged on its' own merits(which it is, indeed, an awesome game itself).
Street Racing fans and regular racing fans alike will love NFSU Rivals for what is....a classy street racer that will keep them occupied for weeks.

4-0 out of 5 stars Great Street Racer
While you may want to wait for Midnight Club PSP, (comes out 6/14), this game will appeal to a street racing fan or even maybe a casual racer. There are over 60 cars and graphics are very much like Juiced, a game for PS2.They have added 2 cars to this game and now have over 60 very different cars that you can fully customize. This game has a good career mode. One thing that was an improvement from NFSU2 on the consoles was all the extra driving around. For people who are new to NFS, in Underground 2, EA made you drive around the city to look for races mostly so they could show you all of the endorcements that the game got.Overall, this game is nearly identical to NFSU , but is in no way a port.

3-0 out of 5 stars good but not good enough
This is fun but the graphics are bad. They are the graphics you would expect from a ds (horible). its worth a rental but don't buy it.This is not nerly as good as everyone says.I think everyone who gave this a five must have rated it the first day befor the relize how quicly it gets old (It gets old very Quikly).I think they also did not consider the horible graphics when rating this.don't let the other revewers fool you.

as a final statment the graphics are the worst graphics I have seen on any psp game so far.

5-0 out of 5 stars If you thougt Vice City was awsom.GTA is just Beginning!
Man, I dont see how GTA can get any better.Unlike the previous GTA Games,This one you have stats.Such as Fat,Stamina,Sex Appeal,Muscle,Hunger,And lots more.Just one Island is bigger than all of Vice City. Each island represents a popular city, and they are,Los Angelas,San Francisco, and Las Vegas. You can even bye drinks, play arcade games, even Bet on Casino games.Like on Vice City, The aircraft only go up to like 50 feat. Here they go up to like 1500 feat.Oh and did I mention you can swim. This is defiently the Best GTA Game ever.Get it.Its worth every penny.(Caution:Not for kids under age 17)

4-0 out of 5 stars Greatest game I've played
I rented this game for 1 week. The 2- player part is hard to find but it is worth it. In 2- player mode you can shoot people and the cops will chase you. (OBVIOUSLY) And the money you get from 2- player you can keep. The 1 player mode roxxx!!! you can costumize Carl and you can beat up other gang members ND jack their guns and money. Overall I give this game a 4.5!

5-0 out of 5 stars The games price won't lower which is telling you it's a good
The game is great one thing that bothers me is the control it's no more directional buttons but analog which makes it harder to control, but other wise then that the game is long and great and is worth buying oh yeah Not for children.

5-0 out of 5 stars gta:San andreas
the best game ever made keep it up rockstar please keep carl jonson.

4-0 out of 5 stars Great game.
CJ ran away from home after his brother died, but now its time to go back. His mother was shot in a drive-by that was intended to kill his other brother, Sweet, and he has to go back to bury her. But he ends up staying longer then that.

The gang Sweet is the leader of is called Grove Street Families, but since CJ left the gang has gone from ruling the town to just another gang no one really cares about. There's a huge crack problem thats made everyone completely change into different people, and now that CJ's back, Sweet needs his help to get Grove Street back on track.

There are other things besides the main storyline, like all GTA games. One new feature is that you can buy clothes from different stores (that you unlock as you progress through the game) and mix and match. Your clothes determine how much respect you get from gang members, and how many compliments you get from people on the street.

The clothes that raise your "sex appeal" the most, halfway, are the "special" outfits, that you can only get through missions or... dating. Yes, that's right, dating. If you get your relationship to 100% with certain women, they'll give you outfits.

There are a few downsides, nothing that affect the overall gameplay. Blocky hands, wierd movements when talking, driving controlls suck, things like those that don't affect you. Other then that, I recommend this game to any fans of GTA or rockstar games, and anyone who's mature enough to handle it. ... Read more

5-0 out of 5 stars most fun in a starwars game till its sequel
i cant posibly think anyone would hate this game if they played it. It is most fun/funny starwars game yet. a perfect 10. BUY IT NOW!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

5-0 out of 5 stars This is not just a kids game! You will LOVE this game!
This game is fun for the whole family.I figured at first that my little boy would be the only one to really play this game.My husband and I both thought it would be fun but we did'nt realize just how much fun until we are now hooked to playing it!!!The sounds of the light sabers are just like the real movie and the people all look just like real legos! The game is'nt very difficult but it holds your interest. There is over 30+ playable charaters to use.The game combines all 3 of the first movies in to one full game.I really like that about it, its like having 3 different games but for one price. There is tons of hidden things to find in this game.I highly recommend it for kids and adults!

5-0 out of 5 stars My sons 6-11 love it
I haven't played the game, but I got it for my Star Wars fan son when it first came out. All of my sons like this game and keep returning to it. They are figuring out how to unlock the 4th episode level. If you have a young one and they like Legos and Star Wars, I guess you have a winner here.

5-0 out of 5 stars May the fun be with you
Lego Star Wars is the greatest Star Wars game on earth. When you destroy something or someone it shatters into a buch of lego pieces. Star Wars+Lego=Fun. And its not only for kids. Many adults enjoy playing Lego Star Wars. The game is extremly fun. You can use the force to throw yor enemies or you can take your light saber out and chop em into lego peices. Or you can blast them with your pistol if you are Padme.

5-0 out of 5 stars Beware the Inch-High Jedi
This is probably the best Stars Wars game made.As far as i'm concerened, any Stars WArs game where you get to use a lightsaber is the best (there are enough games with blasters). When you turn on the game you start out in Dexters Diner, a place where you chose your level and buy characters. You get to play through episodes 1,2 and 3.
WHats good is that if you haven't seen episode 3, the game doesn't spoil that much, it gives you enouggh info so that you know what you're doing in the game, but not enough to spoil the movie. While you are travelling through the star wars universes, you collect LEGO studs, the currency of the game.At dexters diner, you can buy characters with them.YOu can also buy hints and extras, but I think they are a waste of studs. After you collected enough characters from the light side and dark side, you can go out to ddexters parking lot to wacth and join unorganized fights. They are a little easy but fun. When you collect suds you're jedi meter fills up and if you fill it up to the top you will get a piece of a special ship.TO complete fill the jedi meter in every level. You also collectt mini kit parts which you can use to make ships to put in the parking lot.If you get every ship you will unlock the games ultimate secret (sorry i don't know what it is).A good way to collect studs is to get all the mini kit pieces in a level, which will give you about 50,000 studs.Try to complete the ones in boss levels because they are small levels and pieces are easy to find.

5-0 out of 5 stars Coolest Little GadgetEver
My daughter bought this toy from Target and brought it home. We were playing with it in the living room, and after it guessed three of the items I was thinking of, I was addicted. Ive been borrowing it and bringing it to work. This is the perfect party toy to leave out on the coffee table. We have played with this on the subway and people just crack up because 9 out of 10 times it is correct. Totally amazing and neat gizmo for adults and kids. I have decided to buy myself one now, and this will be a cool little present for christmas for everyone.

5-0 out of 5 stars Out of this world fun!
When I tested this at the store, I was instantly convinced to bring it home and share with everyone in the family.Everyone was amazed, you can see very surprised facial expressions from most of them, and spooked expressions from others thinking it was possessed (reallly funny!).My Mom began referring to it as "he" instead of an "it" - - it's a very smart little computer. It exactly guessed a carburator, urethra, star, it called love an "emotion", rainbow and on and on.I would say it gets it right 99% of the time. Highly recommend this.

5-0 out of 5 stars Great machine
A fun, easy to use game that will keep you occupied for hours. A great gift idea or to use at your home/office, this machine asks 20 questions to narrow your choices and is also good for parties. Highly recommend.

5-0 out of 5 stars very good

it is very educational that i brought it to school and my teacher loved it

5-0 out of 5 stars Very impressive and fun!
I just tried the 20Q with my coworkers and it was astonishing.I am used to small electronic games fitting into the "who buys these things" category because they usually disappoint or don't hold your interest. Not this one.It is correct most of the time (at least so far).It correctly identified many common objects but even correctly deduced concepts such as "love."Let me suggest another game -- you pick something you know it won't know and then pretend it is describing whatever you were thinking of.I picked myself, answered the questions accordingly and it came up with "Soulmate!" ... 5-0 out of 5 stars Best racing sim on the market
This is, without doubt, the best racing sim on the market. Models are outstanding, physics are tops, sounds are awesome, support is excellent, and the 3 new add-ons are definitely meant for the American market: the creators of GTR have already added 3 ovals to satisfy left-turn-itis... You have 3 levels of difficuly: Arcade, Semi-pro, and Simulation. Simulation is very difficult, while Arcade is quite easy. Lots of cars, lots of tracks, lots of options. Have fun!!

5-0 out of 5 stars drivers heaven !
this is the best experience i have ever made in racing game !
forget about gran tourismo 4. i am now on the game since 1 week and playing it nearly 12 hours a day. my opinion now, this is the most realistic and hardcore game of all categories...

and i love the porsche`s in it... :-)

5-0 out of 5 stars GTR FIA GT Racing Game PC
If you have any interest in racing games, and you own a PC, then this is the game for you. Two words: Incredibly Detailed. You can customize nearly every aspect of the game. For example, want to drive in the cockpit view but can't see over the dashboard? No problem - use the hotkeys to adjust the drivers seat. You can even tell the game to add driver head movement so you can actually look through a turn the way real drivers do.You can adjust every part of the car to make it handle exactly how you want it to handle.
The graphics are fantastic. You can adjust so many graphic settings that it should run on most computers. The car detials are exact, though most of the race car sponsors are unfamiliar to me.The cars have different paint schemes and customizations.Even the cockpits are exact replicas of the real sports cars.
The gameplay is near perfect. That is, you can modify the game to make it as hard as you want it to be.The cars all exhibit real physics with down forces and tire wear just to name a few.The game gives you three modes to play, from Arcade mode to Simulation.Remember, this game is designed as a simulator, so the game has a steep learning curve.I recommend a good two analog stick game pad to get the most out the game. And practice changing the setting to make the game comfortable to play.
Overall, the game is fun and deep, with excellent graphics and sound. What more could you want in your race car driving simulation?

---Update: For a game with so many settings, you can't adjust the number of laps in the arcade mode.Seems like they should have added that. Also, the game is very hard.I have spent most of my time playing in Arcade mode.Just be prepared to practice, ... Read more

5-0 out of 5 stars Better than the first
Fire Emblem was one of the best games on the gba.Final Fantasy Tactics advance was another one. What this game does is take elements from both of them and combines them into one of the best handheld games ever. The first fire emblem was an extremely challenging game. This one is too, but now you can roam the map and join in skirmishis as in ffta. The character upgrade choices also make it superior to the first game.

5-0 out of 5 stars Better Sequel to a Great Game
It is a time of peace, suddenly, your country of Renais is attacked by your ally, Grado. They are after the Sacred Stone, but why would they want the very thing that sealed the Demon King away centuries ago?

Welcome back to the realm of Fire Emblem. This installment had nothing to do with the other game (which is a little disappointing) but it still is as good as the first. So, what's new this time around, well first off, there's a difficulty selection available from the start (you had to unlock it in the first). There's beginner, which explains the game and has a tutorial, normal, for those of us who played through the first one and know much of the controls, and difficult, for those who want a challenge.

I got to say that I'm glad that they've added this feature so we don't have to listen to the idiotic tutorial (its good to look at it if your a beginner, but its still annoying).Anyway, the core of this game is essentially the same with some added features.

These added features include that of choosing what you want your character to turn into. For example, in the first game, thieves could only become an assassin. However, in this game you have a choice of an assassin, which is a killing machine (if you have the Killing Edge equipped), or become a Rougue, which is a thief who doesn't need lockpicks to open doors and chests. This adds a lot to the game too.

The other neat feature is the ability to walk on the world map and choose where you want to go.This system, I would compare it to that of FF Tactics Advance because you can run into monsters who are also new to the series.

There's also a Tower of Valni that is like an endurance round. You can leave whenever you want to, and its not required that you go there.

The storyline this time around is predictable but still can be classified as good.I mean I figured from the start what was going to happen, and most of your predictions will come true.

My favorite thing about this game are the main characters, Eirika and Ephraim. They are twins but seem to be complete opposites.Eirika is the peace loving princess who hates war, and Ephraim is the one who runs off trying to find pride in fighting.

So, should you pick up this game?Yes, if you liked the first one, but wanted more or if you haven't played the first. No, if you are tired of the gameplay from the first game because all you are going to get is the recycled form of the original.

PROS
- Good game with good stratergy ideas
- You have the choice to choose if you want the tutorial
- The added walk on the map feature is very useful
- The ability to choose what your unit will become

CONS
- The story is way too predictable
- A lot of this game is recycled from the old game (can be good or bad)

5-0 out of 5 stars I haven't seen this yet
i haven't seen this game yet, but i'm sure that pigs are cool. you may find that this looks kqueer, but you know that it's true. just sayin hi to all those solar hills sons in this world

2-0 out of 5 stars As a game, Sacred Stones is average. as a sequal, its a joke
Basically, what we have here is the same game.
Seriously. Intelli Sys recycled like 60% of the content from FE1(7 in jpn)? The only "new" things here are what you'd already expect in a sequel anyway: a new plot and new character designs.

Why would anyone pay full price to play exactly the same game all over again? It boggles the mind. On the pc we have what are called "expansion packs". This "sequel" does nothing new what the previous game hasn't already done. And the previous one, which I've reviewed, wasn't that impressive either.

In short, go ahead and buy this if you liked the first one and want more of the same. If the previous Fire Emblem didn't do much for you however, don't expect anything different.

5-0 out of 5 stars Wow
This game had pretty big shoes to fill from the first fire emblem for gba but it certainly filled them. I really liked the choice for promoting units and the extra battles for level ups. ... Read more

5-0 out of 5 stars Totally, completely, AWESOME!! :) :) :):):)
This game is great. The graphics are good, the variety of characters is astounding, the unlockable parts are cool. This game is awesome, action packed, funny, and cool all rolled in one. How do I know this? I've seen the trailer. I've seen many screen shots. And I've read other people's reviews. I have not even bought this game. I don't even have a penny saved up for it yet(I'm saving for something else). But, IF: you have the money; IF: You like games that has funny stuff; and IF: You just LOVE Star Wars, Legos, and Roleplaying games: THEN BUY THIS GAME! IT'S AWESOME!!!

5-0 out of 5 stars :)
so I felt pretty dumb buying this game.. looks like a little kids game.. sounds like a little kids game - but I love star wars! so I bought it and brought it to school - by the end of the week 5 out of 6 people I showed it to had bought it. the lego idea is really cool - I went and saw revenge of the sith and I kept thinking about how buildings would look as legos.. but anyways. I'm not even remotely good at video games - I don't think I've ever finished a game in my life.. though i have many. I haven't finished this one yet - but I have high hopes. This isn't hard to play - when you finish levels you can go back and play through them again and with different characters that youve unlocked - which is very amusing to a star wars fan.. :)

2-0 out of 5 stars Too short and gets old FAST
I'll make this short, I BEAT THIS GAME THE SAME DAY I GOT IT. It barley covers episodes I, II and III, note how on the description it says that the game covers the most exciting and memorable scenes from all three movies? WELL THAT'S ALL THEY GIVE YOU! The day after i got it it was still kinda fun but then i played it a little more and it just got plain BORING.DON'T make the same mistake I did. I would rather save my money and buy actual legos or a different game. ... Read more

4-0 out of 5 stars Good game but just more of the same.........
If you played the first two games in this series you'll be right at home. You're able to run and gun more than in the past and it's nice not to be punished as much for setting off alarms. The controls, graphics (unfortunately you're usually in the dark), and sound are top notch.

5-0 out of 5 stars Best X-Box Game 9.9/10
X-Box Magazine rated this game 9.9/10 and it should have been rated as 15/10 (fifteen!).It kicks!Best features: you can save your progress at any time; you can save as quick save OR as save so you can back up to a prior save in case you blow it.Great ammo.Great storyline (I won't spoil it).Plus the online X-Box Live games rock!I just finished this game and am in mourning, waiting for Chaos Theory II...or whatever the next Splinter Cell is...They really outdid themselves.PLEASE!Publish the sequel!

5-0 out of 5 stars AN EVOLUTION IN STEALTH GAMING
This is by far one of my most favorite games right now. I don't really have the money to buy it but I've been renting it from the movie store, and I can't put it down. This is one of the most addicting games I've ever played. There is nothing better than sneeking behind a guy so close you can read the label on his coat and then stabbing your knife into his back and dropping him without a sound, or ripping your hand through a paper thin canvis and pulling a guy through it. This game has more ways to take out your enemies than the first two. Such as now being able to choose between lethal attacks when your near an enemy or just knocking them out. One lethal move is when you approach an enemy from the front, Fisher pulls out his knife and grabs the guy head and forces it down while stabbing him below the shoulder blade all by pulling the right trigger. Or if you pull the left trigger and your behind someone then Fisher will pull out his knife and hit them with the handle in the side of the head and knock them out. There are countless other things fisher can do to take out his enemies. The enemy AI is amazingly done, they will notice little things like a door open or a light turned off. My complaints are that the maps are horrible, they provide almost no help. Also some of the missions have some really hard puzzles to solve, for those reasons I would give it four and a half stars but I'll settle for five.

5-0 out of 5 stars It Rocks In HD ! ! !
I PUT THE GAME ON MY HDTV :)
& IT LOOKS SOOOO GOOD!!!

5-0 out of 5 stars You can SAVE your progress at ANY time!
I never got in to the first two Splinter Cell games, so you don't have to be a veteran of the series to enjoy this third installment. I'll start with my 2 favorite things about this game. In Splinter Cell Chaos Theory, you can pause the game at ANY moment while playing and save your progress EXACTLY where you're standing. When you load your game from a saved file, you start exactly at the spot where you saved, NOT way back at the beginning of the level, NOT at some prior checkpoint, but right where you were at that moment you saved your game. When you know you're about to walk into a tricky situation, take a moment to save, then proceeed. If you botch the job, re-load your saved game and try again from the exact point you saved at without having to restart the whole level all over again. I LOVE THIS! EVERY game should have this "instant save anytime" feature! The other great thing about this game that EVERY game should have is 360-degree camera control: you use the controller's right thumbstick to move the camera anywhere you want to get the view you need of your environment. Snapshot saving and total camera control make SUCH a BIG difference in eliminating the frustration that comes with so many other games.

This is a game about espionage set in the fictitious near future. You play a stealthy field operative for a top secret arm of the U. S. government, running covert operations that the government cannot legally acknowledge. Each mission consists of a set of objectives like "find out who is providing arms to these rebel guerillas" or "hack these systems and plant some decoy files."You gather information by observing the environment, eavesdropping on conversations, interrogating people, searching file cabinets, and accessing computer terminals. You spend most of your time sticking to the shadows to stay out-of-sight and keeping silent to avoid detection.

You must complete your primary objectives to progress to the next mission. You are scored a success percentage at the end of every mission, but score doesn't count for anything except personal satisfaction. You achieve high scores by not alerting anyone to your presence and not killing anyone, rendering enemies unconscious in a variety of ways (except when your objective is to eliminate a particular target). When you see people in your path, you can either find a way to sneak around them or you can sneak up and grab them from behind to interrogate them, then choke them unconscious to remove them as threats (be sure to hide the bodies so others don't notice your handiwork). Stealth and low body-counts are encouraged, but you can still progress through the game if you don't score highly on your stealth tactics. You can tear through the game with guns blazing killing everyone if you want (except for the missions where your objective is to NOT kill anyone). But I get a kick out of sneaking aboard an ocean freighter, creeping unnoticed through over 30 armed guards, planting tracking devices on crates of illegal weapons, and escaping without anyone having a clue that I was ever there.

This is definitely NOT a fast-paced action game. It's methodical and quiet, requiring patience and a little planning. It doesn't require lightning-fast reflexes. It's not insanely difficult, but it's a good challenge. The graphics and sound are very good (but the music is funky). The controls are easy to get the hang of. You can access an in-game map of your terrain from the pause menu (another feature that EVERY game should have), which helps to keep on track and avoid getting lost. The game has somewhat of a realistic feel to it, so don't count on arcade-like fantasy stuff like being able to double-jump 3 stories into the air or pick up power-ups that make you invincible for a short time. The story is engaging, and you're equipped with some pretty cool spy gadgets. This is a very well-put-together game. It feels a bit like watching a "Mission Impossible" type of spy movie. ... AWESOME!!!!!!!!!!!!!! This is the best game ever!!!!!! It's so fun to run into innocent people's cars. If you buy it and don't like it you belong in a mental innstitute. I swear, you will not be dissapointed.

5-0 out of 5 stars AWESOME
This game is excellent as soon as you put it in. You can customize so much stuff on your car it makes you think if you're really customizing a car. The controls are perfect and there is so many cars and bikes to rise it will keep you playing for hours to unlock them all. If you want a simulation buy Gran Turismo 4if you want the best racer ever buy Midnight Club 3.

5-0 out of 5 stars Great Game!
This game is an all around awesome game! However, the question will always be asked, "is it better than NFSU2?". I own both games and have no clearcut favorite. Although I do find myself slightly gravitating towards Midnight Club 3. The only reason I say that is I think that it does a much better job simulating the street racing lifestyle. When you look at the car details and game backgrounds, Midnight Club 3 is by far the winner. I think that NFSU2's graphic's are slightly cartoony. I think Midnight Club 3 just has more style in it's customization. NFSU2 is all about getting your car a "10" visual rating, where as in Midnight Club 3 you can pick parts that you think really complete the look of your car. And you don't HAVE to use that ugly carbon fiber. However I leave the decision compleatly up to you. It's a matter of personal prefrence, and they are both great games!!!

5-0 out of 5 stars This game is TIGHT!
It's like Pimp My ride and The Fast and the Furious in one. You can customize yur own car and evrything. when its snowing in detroit you can do donuts and when you customize your car, hydrolics are the first thing to buy. if you put on the no damage cheat - ontheroad - you can crash into as many things as you want, and your car wont even get dirt on it. its really annoying and fun when your in the middle of a race and a cop is right on yur tail. I just rented it but i know im gonna buy it. you will not waste your money on this game, its worth every penny. And the soundtrack is the best. its got 50 cent, twista, petey pablo. but it also has really stupid disco songs too, but this is the funnest racing game ive ever played. ... Read more

4-0 out of 5 stars Revenge of the short games...
For all those who don't have a PS2 or XBOX we're stuck with this. It is a good game, but is way too short. Sure, you can play as Anakin and Obi-wan with all their seperate levels. Its still way too easy. The game basically goes like this. Fight weak enemies. Find boss. Parry his attacks. Slash. repeat.Insert occasional difference. Congrats, you've cleared the game. Despite all my griping, the game is still very fun. You get to upgrade your characters stats and choose what force moves they learn. When you fight, all the moves you can pull off (easily!) really make you feel like you're watching a movie. The really good thing about this game is the final level though. You fight on ground and then on a moving platform on top of lava, just like in the movie. And what parents will like most is the violence is kept to a minimum. Yes, you still fight, but their is no blood or corpses. The one violent part is when Obi-wan cuts off Anakin's legs. There is still no blood though. The ESRB has given the game a E 10+ rating, which means it is suitable for everyone 10 and over.

Ratings (out of ten)
Graphics: 6. Very cartoonish, and the backgrounds look nothing like the real setting in the movie.
Music: 6. Good, but gets repetitive, and doesn't fit the star wars theme.
Gameplay: 10. Really fun and addicting. The combat system is realistic and cool, not to mention fun.

All in all, Star wars for GBA is an okay game. You might buy it, becasue it can be fun to play beaten levels over again. If you rent it that's a good move too. Be warned though, it may get addicting.

5-0 out of 5 stars A good fun
This is not comando republic or the revenge of the sith for playstation 2 and x-box, but if you are fan of the star wars movies you will find this game very good.

3-0 out of 5 stars Its Fun, But....
This game is really fun for the first few time you play it.But then after those first few times you play, its nothing at all.All your doing is mindless killing of droids, and other StarWars creatures. There aren't any puzzles, or any thing that difficult, all it is is the killing of droids. The graphics are suprisingly VERY good for GBA standards. But if you really want a GREAT Starwars game, buy Republic Commando, or Revenge of the Sith for XBOX

3-0 out of 5 stars It Was OK.........
The game is all based as sort of a walk through a hallway. You go down this tunnle battling enemies and when you get tho the end you battle a boss, and all you have to do is perry and he loses real easy
I liked it that you could custimize your caracter, but the mapping Just bade it a bad game!If you want a good RPG, get retuth of the king of metroid prime.

4-0 out of 5 stars Good For What It Is
When first get your PSP you have a big question ahead of you, what game do I buy first? While this game may not be the best launch title overall, people who enjoy games like Diablo and Baulders Gate will find it is worth the money.

Brotherhood is a hack and slash in the style of The Two Towers and Return of the King with RPG elements (i.e. upgrades and armor) and magic as well. There are four selectable classes but really two main types, melee and magic. The druid and alchemist are both magic based and the berserker and paladin are melee based. The berserker is faster and the paladin is stronger I would have liked to see more variety in the classes. Despite this you won't find yourself pigeonholed into fighting a certain way. I would have also enjoyed more customization in my characters gender, face, hair, etc.

The thing that bothered me most was that all of the interactions in the game are text based and not voiced. They didn't even have a cutscene in the beginning, again only a text narative. However, we have to look at the game for what it is, a launch title that is made to be played on the go. This game is perfect if you find yourself on a bus, train, or stuck in traffic. You'll find you have just enough time to complete a quest or two, level and save your game. If you sit down at your house and play this game like you would a consel game, you'll soon find yourself losing interest. So in the end I give it four stars but if this were anything but a launch mobile gaming title it would probably get a two or one star rating.

3-0 out of 5 stars nothing to figure out
All you do is kill; which I have no objection to as long as there's something else to do - secret pathways, buttons, puzzles - something in addition to the killing. Even Doom 1 had more than just killing. This game needs a bit more depth

5-0 out of 5 stars If you liked diablo, you'll like this
Great Game, i've allready spent a few hours playing it and I can tell I am going to end up spending a couple dozen more playing it. Its basically a hack and slash like diablo. Its also a great game for the PSP because I can just put my PSP into sleep mode and whenever I have a quick break I just whip out my PSP and flick the power and i'm allready in a dungeon ready to rock!

5-0 out of 5 stars Maybe a little repetetive...
This is definitely a fun game. While Ridge Racers, the other big launch title, only lasts for a week or so, I find myself still trying to get to the end of this game after a month and a half. It gets a little repetetive, with all the X-button pushing, but it's fun and all the items make it interesting. The plot really stinks at first, but if you stick with it, it gets better. Also, load times are very long, but you can get over that pretty quickly. Definitely worth the buy; you'll invest plenty of time in it.

5-0 out of 5 stars Hack n' Slash Adventures!
The character enhancement tree is amazing, I love how it varies for each of the character classes. The weapons and armor also vary through the different classes, and can be customized in many ways. The jewelry adds a nice touch for increasing for Strength, Dexterity, Stamina, and Intelligence. Your character can be customized in many ways such as hair stlye, and colour. The skin tone can also be changed. The thing that isn't great is there is no gender change, but covering up the distinguishing male and female marks can be covered up by armor. This game have very many missions which are easy to follow, but challenging to complete. This game will kepp you playing for hours on end!

Alright, now... there has not been a single StarWars game that has been released before this one that is really any good ( to me. ) I always thought it would be a very good idea for StarWars to make an all out battle game like this. I basically got my wish in this game. In playing this, I found that it was exactly what i wanted.. pretty good A.I., bodies fly when hit by grenades, good graphics, air craft and ground vehicles... it's fantastic... but there are also some problems; glitches, if you will. For instance, on Dune Sea on Tantooine or maybe the Docks on Kashyyk, you can fly or jump onto the cliff or hut ( depending ont he level ) and you can prone down to be unseen. I found this ' glitch ' awhile ago when I first got the game, but it's not very useful simply because they are not in good positions. Changing that subject on the game, i'll tell you what i think about the A.I. I found that there are times when the A.I. just stands around in a corner and does not move at all ( for whatever reason ) , so to settle that, you could kill him ( on your team or not ) but if he is on your team, you could use one of the commands using the PS2 D-pad, such as ' Follow Me ' or ' Move Out ' . About the levels, there are about 8 or more ( i'm not sure right now ) different planets to play on, and about 16 levels. ( 2 on each planet, if you do the math. ) Just about all the levels are fun and unique in their own way, and you could simply place your character on a roof-top and go into ' first-person ' view, and simply watch the battle. You can also play in Galactic Civil Wars or The Clone Wars, The GCW having the Empire and the Rebels, and TCW having the Clones(Republic) and the CIS(The Evil Dudes). Either way you play, it's fun. ( Although if you are playing the in TCW and you are on the Republic side, you have to play against the Driodekas, which are very hard to exterminate. You would know that if you saw the star wars movies or played this game. ) There is also a few game modes as well, which allow you to play the battles in order, starting from the Episode IV, A New Hope. It even shows movie clips if you play in this mode. Though this is rather fun, there are really no awards except ( for what I find extremely lame for your hard labor playing this game ) concept art. I thought maybe I would be getting a Jedi and would be able to use his light saber. ( Which you can see A.I.ed players using on certain levels. ) But hey, with StarWars Battlefront II coming out, you WILL be able to play as the Jedi! One last thing to say about a flaw in this game; the difficulty levels. Easy is too easy, on Medium most cases you are the only one doing anything, and on Hard.. well.. I can't honestly say I even played this mode yet.. at least that I remember. Anyways on a last note, I got this game the first day of it's release and I do not regret it, this game is well worth your money, but only if you play a few times a day/week.

4-0 out of 5 stars Great fun, but not a repeat
This game is an absolute blast the first few times you play it. There are many modes so that no two plays are alike. However, it is not the type of game that you play a million times over even after you've beaten it. Overall, a great buy.

4-0 out of 5 stars Great Game, Awesome Sequel
First of all, I'm not 13, so don't expect a illiterate review. But on to the game! This game is very good in many areas, but it does have its share of flaws. I love the story line on this game, because you can choose to become a powerful Jedi or a fearsome Sith, which in turn makes the replay value high because you'll want to beat it twice to see both outcomes. Also, the weapons in this game rock. You can wield anything from plasma torches and lasers to mines and lightsabers. The color of your lightsaber, as the Star Wars junkies like me reading this know, depends on which side of the force you choose. Give in to the Sith(which is what I did) and you'll get a flashy red lightsaber. Become a Jedi and you'll wield a nice blue one. Either way you choose, the story line and action is great.
Now every good game has its share of flaws, and this game is included in that category. First, the main flaw for me is the fighting. This may not bug everybody, but it does me. You actually tell the command to go into combat mode and then it fights and swings swords for you. For me, killing and destroying things is the whole purpose of fighting/RPG games. It's not that big of a deal, but it does bug me. The next flaw is the camera. I'm probably being picky on this, but when you round a, say right corner, usually you tilt the right thumbstick right. But it's the exact opposite with this one. You have to either press it left or go all the way around your character. This can be very annoying, especially if you've got a droid on your tail. Finally, the last flaw is the graphics. The characters faces and body types look good, but man the backdrops and items look terrible. As wierd as it seems, I've come to rely on Star Wars for pretty decent graphics, but it seems here they focused all on the characters and none of the surroundings. But this doesn't really take away from the game, so it may or may not bother you. It did personallybother me, considering the Xbox's standards.
Minor Quibbles aside, this is destined to become one of the greatest RPG's ever. I've never played the original KOTOR, but I've heard it's great. Even if it's half as good as this, it will be awesome. Great job guys and all we can hope for is Star Wars Knights of the Old Republic III. Hope this helped!

3-0 out of 5 stars What Happened?
I have been a big fan of KOTOR games ever since the first one came out.In the first game Bioware did awsome. They came up with something new and brilliant. With KOTOR 2 i felt that that imagination was lost.this could have been due to the fact that Obsidian made this one one.THe second game was a fun game to play through twice.Which of course it what you should always do play as a good guy then as a bad guy.But after that it just lost of of its replayability. The first made me want to play the game over and over. But with this one it lost that aspect. The main problem wiht this game is that it feels sloppy.THere is so much going on that at times it is hard to keep everything straight. The first one had a great structure. It was an open ended game but it did a good job of guiding you throught the storyline. This one doesn't do that for you at all.And the sloppiness doesn't just stop at the gameplay it continues into the weapons upgrades. This was a great idea but just seemed half baked to me.Even though this game has its problems it is still a great game. The characters in this game are great to be around during the game. You can even train some of them to become jedi themselves.I enjoyed this game but was also dissapointed at the lack of the greatness that the first one held.

5-0 out of 5 stars One of The Best Games of 2004
This game is a huge improvement over KOTOR.

Pros: Better facial expressions, you start out in the story as a dispanded Jedi, you can pick three classes; Sentinel, Councal Member, or Knight, you can choose area of specialty; Force, Weapons, or Master, More force powers, Really high replay value

Cons: Really their isn't really anything wrong with this game
This is the diffibate ultimate Jedi experiance. If you want really fast lightsaber action pick up Star Wars Episode III: Revenge of The Sith.
10 out-of 10 stars

1-0 out of 5 stars Not even close comparing to the original!
I'll get straight to the point since many of the other critique pretty much already mentioned what I wanted to mention.

To be fair, KOTOR 2 is not a bad game. However, it doesn't even come close to KOTOR 1. Why is that? Because in the original game, I felt alive while playing it. The story in KOTOR 1 is simple, straight forward, yet very addictive. Even after playing KOTOR 1 the 5th time (and knowing the game inside out), I still feel very addictive to it. However, after finishing KOTOR 2 the first time, I don't even want to play it again.

Furthermore, KOTOR 2 is more philosophical (it may be interesting, but unneccessary - look at KOTOR 1, it is so simple, yet very entertaining). While playing KOTOR 2, I have the feeling of playing it just to see how it ends, not to enjoy the game plot along the way like in KOTOR 1.

Bottom line, after along day working or studying, if I have a choice between KOTOR 1 and KOTOR 2 to play to relax my mind, I would definitely choose KOTOR 1 (eventhough I have played it dozen of times). I don't ever want to touch KOTOR II after playing it the first time because I consider a waste of my time to play KOTOR 2 the second time.

It's just something for KOTOR team to consider!!!

5-0 out of 5 stars It's More "Star Wars" than "Star Wars"
...or perhaps I should say, KOTOR2 explores the idea of the "Force" and those who wield it with such depth as to make the Star Wars movies - and to a lesser extent, KOTOR1 - seem juvenile.

I commend Obsidian for asking challenging questions about morality and causality, and for making characters realistically deep.It makes for a very engrossing game that plays like a great novel.

This game would be enjoyed by anyone with an appreciation for psychology, philosophy, or the Star Wars story. It is a good sequel to KOTOR1 and sets us up nicely for a KOTOR3.

Details: The soundtrack is terrific. The game will slow down occasionally, and I had one crash.I finished the game in 30 hours, completing most side missions. ... Read more

5-0 out of 5 stars please help me.....
i realllllly want xbox live (but i dont have an xbox). I'm thinking seriously about purchasing an xbox with the xbox live starter kit and a few live games. but i need to know something. if i buy this adapter, what else do i need? if my computer is upstairs and the xbox will be downstairs, do i need this and a wireless router and an adapter for the pc? or just this and a router? or just this? or something more? PLEASE answer my question, it could mean you have a new competitor on xbox live.

5-0 out of 5 stars Works Great - No Lag
I was skeptical at first about this, seeing as how I had never gone wireless before. However, this adapter really works and there is not a spot of lag. Actually, I was having more lag problems when I was directly connected to a modem.

Linksys offers an alternative to this called a game adapter. It is the same price and I imagine that it works just as well. Don't make the mistake of trying to save money and buying another router or an access point, it won't work.

5-0 out of 5 stars XBOX LIVE WIRELESS ADAPTER
Excellent so easy to set up less than 1 minurt i was registering for xbox live recomend it for all.

5-0 out of 5 stars Took a while
well i tryied to get on to xbox live the ip and all that stuff was ok so i didn't really know what to do.So basically i upgraded the adapter's firmware Heres the link http://www.microsoft.com/hardware/broadbandnetworking/10_DLoadMain.mspx microsoft should make it easier to find stuff basically what you do is you plug in the wireless adapter to your ethernet port and install the file and it will detect and update your firmware.I tried that and it didn't work so i also updated my linksys WRT54G's firmware and it worked heres the link for that http://www.linksys.com/download/firmware.asp?fwid=201
great product after the updates its full 54mbps at two floors below

5-0 out of 5 stars The Solution
We recently relocated my son's X-box paraphernellia to a kids-only area in our basement. This has been a great arrangement for everyone except we were unable to let him use the family Internet connection anymore to play his X-box games online. Well we could have strung ethernet cable from one end of the house to the other, but that wasn't an option.

Enter the X-Box Wireless G Adapter.

Well, actually, first came the the Lyksys Wireless B game adapter ($63.53, Wal Mart), which did not work after hours of goofing around with configuration, numerous calls to their outsourced tech support in New Delhi and a royal headache. Although I suspect that it could have worked with the right techno incantations, I finaly realized that saving a few bucks was not worth all the time. I took it back and ordered the Mirosoft adapter ($99.99, Game Spot, via Amazon, $7.49 S&H) and made myself at home in the age of wireless.

As other reviewers have mentioned, this thing is ridiculously easy to set up. I just plugged it in, it detected my wireless network, IP adresses and all that rigamorole and TA DAH. My son says he experiences no lag and the connection is totally reliable and I've not noticed any problems using the Internet while my son is playing on line.

For you gear heads here. My service provider (QWEST) offers a wireless broadcasting DSL modem (basically it acts as a wireles router would). All I had to do was get into the hood and turn the wireless mode on and set up a 64-bit (or 128-bit) WEP key, which already had done while I was futily trying to get the Linksys adapter to work. Security options on the X-box interface were easy to find and after I typed in the WEP key, the X-box (or the adapter) did all the rest.

You'll save a lot of time and headaches just going with the Microsoft gear in this case.

5-0 out of 5 stars for adult only
in this version of Leisure suit Larry you'll see more detail and more "action" then the original version. So for those who want to have some fun with a PC game where you need to sleep with surch beatyfull woman.... it's your game!!!!

5-0 out of 5 stars GREAT GAME!!!IGNORE THOSE TOUTING COMPLAINTS!!!
This is a great game! Sure I read the reviews from others that Magnum Cum Laude is nothing more than a string of mini games...??? But I took a chance and boy am I glad I did. This game is so much more than I expected. It is definitely NOT Cheesy or poorly conceived. My best description of it is an adult uncensored version in the likes of Zelda or Link. After all in Zelda you had to master several different opponents by playing a mini game within a game. The same pricipal is used in Leisure Suit Larry Magnum Cum Laude. The only difference is that instead of trying to "kill a bad guy" you are trying to "make it" with a college hottie and there certainly are a lot of hotties in this game! You also have to perform certain tasks that have you moving all over the virtual worlds just like in Zelda.Again instead of trying to "save the world"you're simply trying to get laid!or to catch a glimpse of some incredible T&A.The only thing worth mentioning that may or may not be of concern is that the game takes up a minimum of 3.5 Gig.For some with slow or older systems with small disk drives this could be a concern but if you look at it like I did.Wow the game has 4 disks and requires a minimum of 3.5 Gig.It has to be one heck of an involved game and that is most certainly what it is.To those who are slamming it I can only surmise that you bought it expecting for some quick sexual relief and when you saw that it actualy required a brain and some coordination that bothered you.Personally I'm glad the game is so much more than I expected.I have been up every night until 3:30 AM playing this game just to see what will happen next because according to some "cheat code" sites on the net after you beat the game is when it really gets good! You then start over and things really heat up!!!If you're over 18 and enjoy both a mental challenge and the titilating stimulation of seeing incredible (although animated) HOT college girls in full frontal nudity then buy this game you will not be disappointed.

4-0 out of 5 stars Old Larry Laffer this is not, but fun in its own ways
The title of this game is "Leisure Suit Larry: Magnum Cum Laude, Uncut & Uncensored."This is almost identical to the "Leisure Suit Larry: Magnum Cum Laude" game, except that this is more like an NC-17 version, with T&A bared for geeks like us to enjoy late at night.

Our hero Larry is Larry Lovage, nephew of the famous loser from the late 80's, Larry Laffer. The original creator of the LSL series, Al Lowe, was unfortunately not involved in the development of this game at all, so what we have is not the old, very enjoyable adventure game, but more like a puzzle game with silly mini-games that you win in order to see things.

Apparently some people felt hugely let down by this change.I would have preferred the old LSL style myself, but find this game quite tolerable, actually, make that enjoyable. The 3D girls are gorgeous, and the humor not bad at all, and the mini-games are pretty fun to play and easy to beat. The gameplay is pretty much linear but, because the games are not impossible like true puzzle games like Myst, or even the old LSL series which involved a lot of running around, backtracking and digging and searching, the entire experience is on the lighter side. This game won't win any award, but it's easy to play so in the end is still an enjoyable game, esp. for geeks like us late at night.

Oh, I see that Amazon has raised the price on the game since I bought it.If you can find it for under 30 bucks, and you enjoy computer-generated 3D T&A, you should give this a try.Of course, defintely go for this U&U version, not the other one.

1-0 out of 5 stars Adventure game? No, arcade game
As an old LSL an sierra in general fan... this game is a bomb. They re-wrote the meaning of adventure game. You'll have more fun with frogger.

1-0 out of 5 stars If you like the old LSL games, keep away from this.
If you're just interested in seeing a bit of pixelated T&A and playing lots of arcade-like games ad-nauseum, then this is the game for you.

If you fondly remember all the old Al Lowe LSL games, and are looking to revisit some of their wit and challenge, then stay far away.

Unlike the old AL Lowe games, all that's required to bed these pixelated babes (or quite often barely miss bedding them), is skill at a few different arcade-like games. There's not a lot of variety in these games, and they quickly become irritatingly repetitive.

Basically, there's no thought required to play the game at all.The "Little Black Book" tells you exactly where to meet each babe. All you have to do, is show up at that location, wear the right clothes, play the arcade-like game, and watch the cutscenes of Larry scoring or not quite scoring.

So far, I've not even had to search a single trash can. What kind of Al Lowe or LSL game is that???

Also, one other very irritating thing about the game is the fact that while you're playing these tedious arcade games, you often miss out on what little humor is available in the game.

One of the most frequent arcade type games, is one where you have to navigate a sperm through a minefield of conversation topics (this is how you converse with the babes in the game).

Unfortunatly, I often find myself trying so hard to navigate the minefield succesfully, that I miss out on the actual conversation that is going on at the same time.

The one up side to the game, is the abundance of pixelated (and sometimes real (during some of the load screens)) babes throughout the game.

So basically, there's lots of eye candy, but absolutely no intelligent game play.

If you're looking for a fun LSL game; with lots of humor, challenge and fun, scrape up an old copy of LSL7: Love for Sail.

If you just want pixelated nudity and boredom, buy this game. ... Read more

5-0 out of 5 stars Great game
Obviously this a Tetris style puzzle game. The music is amazing and goes with the game the way a fat kid goes with cake. This game is way better than Tetris ever was.Lummies has a colorful backround and is VERY addicting. This is a very good pick up and play game.I perfer this game over Mercury although I like both.I am also an action gamer and don't even really like puzzle games!

4-0 out of 5 stars New twist on tetris
I've seen a few variations of Tetris since it was first released.. well the first version I ever saw was on an Apple IIc that was a pirated and completely in russian.

Lumines is pretty simple, form 4 small blocks of the same color into a square by shifting, sliding and spinning 4 block combos that drop from the sky.Make high score, start over. You could add on that you can also play head to head with other PSP players or try a few of the other modes with specialized goals.
For some reason I get drawn into a cycle of playing one game after another cause I messed up just a little bit on the last one and could have done better.

Each time you last out a level (timed, so your not penalized by making bonus points like you did in tetris), you open up a new "skin" with a different song and visual background/blocks.

This was the third game i've bought for my psp so far and it is the most addictive.Even though its not as flashy or involved as some of the other titles, its definately packed with fun.

4-0 out of 5 stars Tetris wishes it was as cool as Lumines
Okay so a lot of other reviews will focus on things like the amazing music, flashy graphics, rotating skins, and so forth. But the fun of Lumines is mostly in gameplay, which requires a lot more skill than tetris ever did.

Everybody's going to compare this game to Tetris because it has four-part pieces that fall onto the screen where you place the pieces in order to get points and clear blocks.Let me be clear in saying that this is ALL they have in common.Clearing lines in tetris is easy, and the only skill involved is being able to move the piece fast enough before it falls.

Lumines is a whole new kind of game. Each piece is a 2x2 block where each little block is one of two colors.Your goal is to make squares of 2x2 blocks that are the same color. This sounds easy enough, but it isn't, always. Not only can you make blocks of 2x2, but these blocks can overlap each other, so a block of 3x2 works, or any other combination of shapes where the 2x2 blocks can be found. This means there's a lot of strategy in laying down a block in order to maximize the number of cubes it makes.

What's also innovative about this game is the "timeline" which scrolls across the screen, clearing the cubes you've made. That's right, a cube doesn't disappear as soon as you've made it.. it takes a few seconds, which allows you to stack multiple pieces together to form more and more overlapping cubes before the timeline swipes them away.but if you don't do it quick enough, you'll only get part of your cube cleared and be left with the rest.

The skill and strategy involved with dropping each piece in the right place at the right time is immense, and takes far more brainpower than tetris ever could. That's what makes this game so fun.

Another little feature I will mention about the skins, some of them seem designed specifically to be harder to see, so that placing the blocks isn't as easy as it was with other skins. On other levels the timeline will move slower or faster, further changing the dynamics of the game (you'd think a slower timeline would let you create more blocks, but if you've got a full screen it can be a nightmare waiting for your screen to open up).

I should point out that there are a few annoying bugs in Lumines that, for instance, won't save your scores all the time. The instructions are also pretty unclear about the details of the vs. modes, where you can attack your opponent (which moves the border of your screen over one, giving you more room to work and your opponent less), but they don't tell you exactly how to attack. Finally from what i've read, you cannot score higher than 999,999 which is a bit ridiculous for a system of this level. Hopefully someday there will be a Lumines 2 that fixes these problems, but in the meantime this game is good enough for me.

4-0 out of 5 stars Perpetual Harmony
Tetris quite frankly bores me.It dominated a large sum of my time and now I dread its remade counterparts. Why do I enjoy Lumines? It breaks out of the norm so many block puzzle-games take.A new perspective and enjoyable mix-up of gameplay makes it a favorite for the PSP, although I would not go as far as calling the game revolutionary or mind-blowing.

If you've played "Rez" or any other games set to music and beats you already know how these games strike an incredibly fun chord, and why they are must buys. But if not the I'll let you in on the twist, with each stage clear new eye-candy appears in the background and a tune begins. With the beat of the song a timer swipes across the screen stack as many of the square style blocks before the time between beats is over and rack up combos. Then watch to your amusement as your towers fall causing chain-reactions multiplying in more blocks made, and a higher score.

I admit to playing the game in a trance-like state watching the blocks flow and hearing the music blend to find myself going on half an hour of play without noticing.Unlocking new songs, and backgrounds give just enough initiative to keep playing you up into the night.

Overall Lumines is fun but not my pick over a console game with more of a story. It's perfect for a portable platform and a great game for the PSP.
