"Jumbolicious"--that's Jellyvision's entirely accurate and adequate one-word description of this uber-collection of You Don't Know JACK, their award-winning, cake-taking, mega-popular trivia game. JACK Jumbo is the natural evolutionary descendant of previous JACK packs (JACK Huge, The Irreverent Collection, etc.), but this one towers over its predecessors, boasting over 4200 questions in all. This super-size JACK comes equipped with five separate games: YDKJ volumes one through three (each weighing in at 800 questions), YDKJ: The Ride (800 questions), and YDKJ Offline (1000 questions).

The first three volumes are straightforward fare, certainly familiar to anyone who's seen or played YDKJ: you're convincingly immersed in a hip, TV-style game show, buzzing in (by yourself or with up to two other players) to answer questions for cash. As with all the JACK titles, it's not so much the idea of the game (trivia) as the incredible production values and the in-your-face, often laugh-out-loud delivery that makes the game such a kick in the pants.

YDKJ: The Ride makes a slight departure from the game show motif (no green room!), as contestants travel through different "floors" answering questions, but adds the nice touch of having hosts from all the previous installments come back to make guest appearances. YDKJ Offline--as you might have guessed--is the offline version of the popular JACK the netshow.

An excellent value, YDKJ Jumbo comes through with a heavy dose of JACK style, perfect for die-hard JACK fans or anyone looking for a lot of laughs and massive replay value. --Paul Hughes

Just get YDKJ 4 The Ride
I'm a big fan of you don't know jack, so i got this jumbo thing. I would highly recommend it. Great game, very witty, and fun for parties or grilling your friends to see who is "better" in general. My fav edition is 4 "The ride". IF you only buy one, get this one

these are the five best ydkj games. they were the first that i bought.i like 3, the ride, and offline better than 1 or 2 but theyre good to have anyway.i;ve sat in front of m computer for hours playing and laughing at the hilarious questions.

Excellent!
I love the 'You Don't Know Jack' games, and this has 5 of the best of them all together!The games are full of so much great sarcasm and they are a ton of fun! My friends and I love the questions and they build our uselessinfo knowledge! What could be better? These games are definately a bigplus!

One of the best party games ever!
the most fun I've had on the computer. The thing that gets to you is howits totally non-repetitive. The dialog is seamless unlike many sports games("forsberg SHOOTS! he SCORES what a great WRIST SHOT") Tons ofuseless information great for conversations. Dozens of play modesthroughout each version will definitally keep you playing. Another funaspect is the hidden stuff. New play modes, jokes and tricks pop up everyso often(Question: you know what would be really good right about now?Answers: A. Hot Dog B. Taco C. Pizza D. Nachos). dont buy this game
This game was so vulgar.Very inappropriate.I thought it was a trivia game but all they do is call you names and say bad words.Don't waste your money.

YDKJ, Revemped.
Some people thought that this would be the same Jack Game as all the others, one host and categories.But they were dead wrong.This YDKJ changed the entire universe of the game forever.New Question types include Roadkill, Jack Bingo, and a new way to screw your neighbor called FlakJack.Nate, Guy, Cookie, and Schmitty all host it at some point.Buzz is limited to being sent to the bottom countless times.Every game starts off with a Moral Dilemma question that whisked you to different episode "floors" in some Jack-topian high-rise.It's about as tall as the Empire State Building.The Jack Trivia Buiding, who ever thought of that?

Instead of just choosing a category, you now choose the VALUE, that's right, you heard correctly, of the question.It's the best jack ever!Ever!

Man, this is the best YDKJ game ever!I own vols. 1-3, YDKJ TV, Movies, and YDKJ Netshow and needless to say, The Ride beats em' all!I love the new features such as "Roadkill" and "Bingo."Hosts Cookie and Schmitty are my faves!The game's hilarity ensues further when Buzz (host of YDKJ vol.2) tries to make his way to the top to host the show.I'm looking forward to more YDKJ products in the future.

The moderator of You Don't Know Jack might be the only game show host in the history of celebrity judges, buzzers, and door-number-fours to consistently insult the contestants. (Well, maybe Bob Eubanks on a really bad day.) But Jack gets away with it--plus a whole lot of stuff that Bob Barker has only dreamed of--in a Gen-X answer to the typical trivia game format.

There's a lot to be said for earlier incarnations of Jack, including the original moderator (newer voices seem to be doing a derivative imitation) and sparse graphics that seemed retrocool in a You Bet Your Life 1950's fashion. But You Don't Know Jack--Offline offers Internet connectivity as well as Wired Magazine/Matrix-influenced screen decor.

Aesthetics aside, the brilliance of the game is its intersection of pop-culture history--movie and television characters, primarily--with textbook knowledge. Questions are put through the Jack blender until a quiz emerges that includes particle physics and Starsky & Hutch. Because of the clever (and prevalent) double entendres, You Don't Know Jack--Offline isn't appropriate family fare. Instead, pick up a copy for your favorite procrastinating graduate school student. Recycled Jack, Needs a little work
YDKJOL isn't a bad game. It has more questions then the previous games in the durable PC series, The best host in the game-Cookie-is again at the helm making sure that your quest for game dollars is a sarcastic and smartallecky one, and those phoney commercials at the end of the game as alwaysare gold.So why not 5 stars?Well this game has got some flaws, but theyall mostly fall in the same catagory.One is that it takes away from game4, THE RIDE format, which in my opinion was the best.THE RIDE helped withthe looping question problem as well as the possiblity that anyone can winnear the end, unlike others where it is sometimes pretty obvious.Butsince this game supposed to be best of the netshow game, it wasunavoidable.The biggest flaw is the extreme re-use fo older jokes, musicand sound bites from previous games, particularly game 3.Offline was theframe to hold the new questions on, for those who do not get the netshow,but I guess the jokes and sound slipped off the side.Regardless, Offlineis not a bad game, it is YDKJ, it is still a blast, and if you haven'tplayed any of the games, it's a good place to start, and veterans will morethen likely want it too.Those veterans however aren't going to findanything exciting or new, with the exception of the new Pissed About aQuestion feature, a slightly new question type in which angry players whovented to the company with their frustrations get well, vented back.Overall, a good game, but it could have been better. ... A GOOD ol' game of You Dont Know Jack
This edition of "You Don't Know JAck" is very different from the other installments. In my opinion the 5th Dementia is no - way as much fun as the 4th volume (The Ride). The one very cool feature of this game is that it allows you to play online. Good luck though finding people, becuase its not everyday someone plays this game anymore. I suggest that this game is worth your [money] and I'm sure you'll love the hilarious humor used throughout the game.

SO-SO
This game is so-so. Their is one new game called Bug-Out. It's funnest one that's in this game. And you even get real photo's of who you are(I had to be an old man).

You dont know jack - the ride
The Ride is probably the best of the YDKJ series. I have played everyone of the games since they came out years ago. And hands down the Ride is the most hillarious one yet. I would like to see more questions on the others and more knee slappin' comedy. I can't wait for another YDKJ to come out that is as funny as the Ride, with the same or simalar game play.

Dementia Fever
YDKJ Dementia is the best game of all time. Unlike YDKJ mock 2 on playstation, YDKJ has the same Mock 2 questions, but the different things may apply. The Bug Out questions made me better, the gibberish questions made me smarter, and the Anagram question made me blow up. Before each question, any value between $250 and $10,000 is the value of the question, and Schmitty, he's funnier than Cookie. YDKJ Rocks!

Someone Doesn't Know Jack...think it's Sierra
Sierra offers little if any help on fixing the compatibility issue for YDKJ5 and Windows XP.

If you want a good laugh, compare their solution to the one Microsoft provides.You don't need a keen eye to notice that one of the tech support people cut and paste from their website, of course leaving out the key phrase "This behavior is by design."Beware XP users! ... Read more

ARE YOU READY FOR THE JACK ATTACK?
Aside from The Sims and Who Wants To Be a Millionaire You Don't Know Jack is my third favorite computer game and is one of the the two games in the YDKJ series which I own and the reason I like it is because it's real silly and is a good game to cheer you up when you're down.In this version you'll meet the very silly and sometimes rude host Cookie who always has a teasing word to say about you when you get a question right and the White Rabbitish floor manager Raul who always will try to make you hurry up and type your name so the show can start but if you do not they will make up a name for you {such as Doris A Jar}. Also new to this version is a round called Three Way in which you have to link seven names in which the category represents and the tough yet hard Impossible question where 20,000 points can be yours only if you get the answer right.Plus let's not forget the classic Dis or Dat Round and the final battle known as the Jack Attack which is similar to Dis Or Dat and the impotant Gibberish Question which is hard for me,

For trivia fans everywhere, Jack is a refreshing slap in the face.The catagories are wickedly funny, the format is adorable and the breadth of topics is satisfyingly gluttonous.Rosie has nothing on Jack.I currently own YDKJ, YDKJ vol. 2, YDKJ 3, YDKJ the ride and YDKJ Offline.....and can't wait to get my itchy fingers on more.The game is dangerously addictive, yet every time Cookie gives me an insult I am eager to keep coming back for more.Those who appreciate trivia for trivia's sake will bask in the glow from Jack's screen.

The 3rd Game in the JACK series was a big success. With Super Audio and Impossible Impossible Questions.V3 might make game of the year.It is rated T.But I still play it.You Don't Know Jack Volume 3 has 800 questions and is hosted by Cookie Masterson.Who used to be Stage Manager.He's also got a different voice.Once again, the show where high cultureand pop culture collidemakes you Laugh out Loud. 1 to 3 players can play. The Impossible Questions are worth 20,000 dollors. That is a lot! You Don't Know Jack Strikes again with Volume 3.

Good, Funny, And Entertaing!
This is a great CD for parties, and just for fun, but it does has innopropriate things, and kids would not get the question, so it is mostly for adults. This is a very good trivia game for adults. It can beentertaining in a fun way. Also, what Jack sayd might be funny sometimes,and the questions might be a little wierd, but funny. This might never getboring because they never give the same questions, they never give the samesubjects, and they also have fun, extra bonus rounds. A good game, but not much of an improvement
YDKJ L!F!F!is a hilarious, fun, and fast-paced game.However, it isnot much of an improvement over previous JACK games.It is not worthbuying if you already have YDKJ.

Jack is Alive, But Slowly Dimming
As a hardcore fan of the You Don't Know Jack series since it's inception almost five years ago, I was pleased to see the Jack gang at Jellyvision took a different turn after suffering from the disappointing Offlineaddition.Almost everything except the familiar format is different andjust as fun as the original version.Jack continues to thrill audienceswith it's irreverent humor and fast paced playing style.The game isgreat, but maybe a different format would give this ditty a top five starrating.

Contrary to popular belief I DO know Jack
The newest installment of You Don't Know Jack is indeed a lotof fun.Heck, I play all 9 CDs with an alarming degree of frequency.As the previous comment said, this is very much like the online game, where you choose an overall subject for your game at the beginning. Then you play the game like normal.Well almost normal.In the other games you choose between a 7 and 21 question game while in here you play 15 (the online version does too for those who never played it, neither tell you ahead of time about the change)... Also Schmitty hosts this like he does the netshow (he hasn't hosted on CD since the TV CD and parts of the Ride).Also we have a new person setting up the game for you, Raul has been replaced by Sandy. By the way, for those of you who only play the netshow, all the questions on the netshows are repeats of questions from the other cds so you might care to buy the entire series so you can have fun playing this without needing your internet connection...Enjoy an overall welcome addition to the Jack family. ... As Lame as YDKJ Gets!
I am a YDKJ fan, I have been for years.I have to say that the Television and Movies games are lame.You would have to really be a YDKJ addict, as well as an addict of TV shows which are mostly from the 70s and 80s to enjoy this game.I was totally disappointed to see these games after playing the original and The Ride.If you want a fun trivia game, it is YDKJ, but spend your money on one that is worth it- The Ride is tops.

Good game
If you love YOU DON'T KNOW JACK like I do, then I am sure you will like this game. It is a little bit harder than the others because it deals solely with TV, but it is fun just the same. It's a challange though, so watch out!

YDKJ TV is good... but only "if"
By all means, I love the "You Don't Know Jack" series, but the TV version is a toss-up. Sure, it carries the spunk of all the other YDKJ games, but if you aren't a TV jockey, then you don't stand a chance in this quiz show! If you like funny, off-the-wall (and sometimes crude) quiz games, you MUST look into this franchise! But the TV version? Only buy if you watch too much TV for your own good. Really. Otherwise, do yourself a favor and get one of the other titles. You can't go wrong with "The Ride."

Not even remotely worth the asking price
The only fun I've ever had playing any of the You Don't Know Jack games is in the dead of winter, drunk, and extremely bored. There is NO WAY this set is worth what is being asked for it. I 'might' pay $$$ including S&H if I had cash to burn. Just doing general browsing, I'm noticing that ALL collections of older Sierra games are way way way way way overpriced. Fairly warned be thee says I. You are a fool to pay what is being asked for these Sierra games. It's not like they clean your house or anything else super marvelous. Can anyone explain to me how this 3 game set of old trivia games is worth $$$ ? I just don't get it. But hey! if you want to .... your money, go for it.

I loved it!
I bought this pack myself and am now wanting more of them because they are so much fun. The first Jack! games were awesome. These are even better. My family, and friends all like playing this together when we have a party. Weset it up on the monitor in our living room and we have a ball. Greatcompetition. The questions are hilarious. More Jack
This collection is very enjoyable.It contains the 3 THEME discs in the series, but be warned.Just because, they are called "Movies", "Television" and "Sports", doesn't mean they won'tthrow a monkey wrench in the works.I found a "Brady Bunch"question on the Sports Edition (seems most tv series questions, in theentire 9 cd series, happens to be Brady Bunch questions).I bought these 3cds individually, but this box set is a good buy as they are slowly (likeall the other old Jacks) getting discontinued.Get it while you can.As Isaid in my review of the new game "Louder Faster Funnier"thisis the best Trivia game series for pc ever and will probably buy them alluntil they stop making them.

Good, but outdated
Similar to all of the other YDKJ products, this one is a real hoot. The only complaint I can come up with is concerning the time period of most of the questions. Being a young whipper-snapper playing these games is quitedifficult, as close to 90% of the questions are before my time. I woulddefinitely recommend this to adults that have a witty sense of humor anddon't mind the sexual innuendo. Cool but Different
I really like both CD ROMS. It is very different than the original...more graphics, more choices, and more questions.I did not like the fact that the voices are different from the original version. The new voice justdoesn't work as well.

Jack is back
A good buy for both of these games as opposed to buying them indvidually, but if you already have the Jumbo Pack, buy "Louder, Faster, Funnier" separately.Otherwise you'll duplicate "Offline". Still my favorite pc game.I play all 9 cds all the time. ... Read more

Healthy mix of trivia viddles from the Jack family
The YOU DON'T KNOW JACK SNACK PACK is an excellent mix of the serie's older, sarcastic trivia games in a great package that will give newcomers a good taste of what JACK has to offer.Inside you get the first game or volume 1, two theme games and THE RIDE, which is an excellent twist on the series.

Volume 1 is a standerd in the Jack series, pick a question and recieve a dollar amount you play for, ring in when you think you know the answer.A right answer gives you game dollars and jokes.Wrong answers lead to loss of money and recieve only ridicule.Not many question variants compared to later games but it's still fun.Play this one first.

YDKJ MOVIES is one of the theme games, it is also the first one to feature my favorite host, Cookie. (Different games have different hosts)YDKJ MOVIES plays much like Volume 1 but with a movie motif.ALL of the questions relate to movies somehow.Don't be surprised if you find yourself a little bewilderd though, JACK MOVIES takes it's questions from almost any period of movie making.Movies like Call Northside 777 and Wait Until Dark, to Scarface and Fargo can be expected to be seen in the game, players who only have a mild knowledge of film will be in over their head.Big fans of movies will have a blast.

YDKJ TV is a lot like the MOVIE game except this time the questions fall into the catagory of TV.Much like MOVIES the game takes it's questions from all walks of TV life and history.Get Smart, Mork and Mindy, Cheers, Simpsons, almost all of them are here.Much like MOVIES, if your not a couch potato, the game won't be easy, but like MOVIES, it is fun.
